I've been having my Volkswagen serviced here since I bought it in 2012. They always go above and beyond. Everyone I have dealt with has been professional and friendly, and more importantly they can be trusted to not try to get the customer to make repairs that are not needed.

I have been a regular customer of HV Volkswagon since I bought my car there in 2005. As usual, they provided reliable service in a professional manner. In addition to the oil change that I needed, the serviceman checked my tires, brakes, a multipoint inspection and lubricated the doors and trunk. I was only charged for the oil change, for which I had a coupon in addition. I always feel that I can count on help when I need it and that my older car will be safe.

We arrived at the service department without an appointment because the car was suddenly making a horrible noise and we were afraid that it would be unsafe to drive further. Though we are regular customers there, the service department was very busy. Despite this, the car was taken in almost immediately and, within 5 minutes, the problem was found. A stick had wedged itself between the rubber and metal of one tire. After showing us the problem, it took the mechanic about one minute to fix the problem, no charge, and we were happily on our way. All this was done with good cheer. And this was not the first time that I've had this service department go out of their way to provide excellent service.

I arrived a few minutes late for my car's annual check up and the guys at the service desk were super nice about it. They explained what is going to happen during service and gave me an estimated time when their work will be done. I had a doc's appointment very close to that time and I've mentioned that to the person at the desk. Well..... my car was done and ready to leave 45 min earlier than the estimated time that was given to me. Oil change, annual check up, inspection, one tire change.....I am very happy to do business with this place. Highly recommended!

Parents got me a early birthday present with he help of this wonderful dealership. We traded in my dads car and they were helpful to come get the car right from our house since we would of had an issue with getting the car there. Everyone there was very helpful with all of our questions and we never had to wait for someone to speak to us when we walked in. We were always greeted right away. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone wanting a car or just needing service done. Customer service is fantastic!!

This dealership said their used car was perfect. The manager swore he redid entire engine. Exactly 1 week later it needed a new catalatic converter. The did supposedly replace that too. One week later, it happened again. They blamed us only to find out it was never really fixed to begin with. They lied. They did a crappy welding job. I told my son we shouldn't go there from a prior experience I had there. I knew they were a shady, dark, dirty dealership. That's why a few years ago I ended up in Kingston. Poughkeepsie VW is going to end up with a xxxx of a lawsuit. Although Brad in service us wonderful.

Had gotten my 2009 Volkswagen routon from Kingston and had it for about three months then the ignition went in it and found out it was recalled so we had it towed to the volks wagon dealer in Wappinger's and the service dept was great they had it up and running by 8 am the next day so I didn't have to change anything in my busy schedule they just got them a customer for life and the following day we got a call from them checking in on the car which is an added bonus

From the first step in the door to driving off the lot, I was thoroughly impressed with every step of the process. My wife and I were helped by Dariusz, who besides being a courteous and thorough salesman, is also just an authentically nice guy, which is nice to see in any circumstance. All of our questions and concerns were listened to and plainly addressed, with none of that sneaky double-speak one usually finds in most other dealerships. Everyone there was very professional and approachable, and my wife and I feel we were given the best experience we could have asked for. Absolutely not one complaint about this place at all, which even I am surprised to hear my self saying. Really, just a step above the rest.

I take these reviews with a grain of salt because the ones usually taking the time to put up a review are the ones who have not had a pleasant experience. This is not one of those cases. Here is my story. I built a car on the VW site and submitted a request to be contacted for pricing. My main criteria was that it have a manual transmission. Several dealerships called and left VMs and sent emails. Of those who reached out, only 1 had the vehicle I wanted on their website inventory. However, in spite of the "button" next to the listing which suggested there was a special "E-price" the contact flatly stated there was a lot of interest in the vehicle and the price on the website was the FINAL price. They then suggested I come in to look over their inventory and scheduled an appointment. I understand a rare model commands top dollar but I wasn't JUST interested, I wanted to BUY this vehicle that has been listed on their site for several weeks now. Apparently the "interest" in that vehicle wasn't impressed enough to buy.Thoroughly put off I was traveling home after picking up my current car from the repair shop (again), and decided to pay Eric Anderson an unscheduled visit. I had spoken briefly on the phone with him earlier in the week and although he did not have the vehicle I wanted, he was willing to look around to see if it was available elsewhere. He was also willing to find something similar and quote me the cost of accessories and labor to bring it up to my specs... all in that first phone call. He didn't promise me it was already on his lot and try to force me into scheduling an immediate appointment. He's good people.Upon walking in and meeting up with Eric it was all business but in the way that two old friends could discuss intelligently the pros and cons of a purchase their buddy was about to make. At no time did he downplay the importance of the features I was looking for, nor ask me to settle for whatever may be readily available. He simply asked if I wanted to test drive a car which had the most important feature to me.During that test drive with the benefit of Eric's expert knowledge of all things VW (when asked) I came to my own conclusion that the car I was in was PERFECT.We sat down, he gave me a great rate and knocked off some $$$ off the sticker price. Mindy came in and sweetened the deal with a nice incentive and I had my car the next business day after work. Upon delivery Eric went through a detailed review of the car's features in a language I understood. This was very refreshing as I had only experienced this level of service at the BMW dealership down the road. Did I mention he's good people?Great job Eric!

I live almost 2 hours from this dealership so mostly everything I did was by email and they were very easy to deal with. We negotiated a great price over email, once we agreed, they instructed me what documents they need from me before pickup to make it as fast as possible. The day I went to get the car, I was in and out within an hour. Everything was ready for me so there was no waiting around. When I need a new car in the future, this dealer will definitely be on the top of my list even though they're so far away because I do feel it is worth it for me.

This VW service department and Jason are really great. They have solved problems and made permanent fixes. They always try to accommodate my schedule. They have worked to make sure that my extended warranty is honored. The best part is that there are no repeat trips to re fix something. When it is fixed it is fixed.The sales department is great also... no BS. Mindy in the office has been fantastic in helping to solve warranty problems and saving me thousands. Just an all around great and honest dealership.

The whole time I was picking out a car the salesman "Fran" answered all of my questions and made sure I enjoyed my experience at Hudson Valley VW. The test drive was fantastic, not just a trip down the road and your done, it was a complete drive around all types of roads as well as different situations with the vehicle...something I like to see when I am purchasing a vehicle that will last a while. I am a repeat V-Dubber and this vehicle will be my 3rd! They rushed everything to make sure i got my vehicle quickly but they did not pass up quality when detailing the vehicle and prepping it for my pick up. Bought my first VW from Fran Fuchs 5 years ago and now 300,000 miles later I bought my second Jetta TDI from him. Fran made the purchase process simple, direct and stress-free and quickly put a deal together with a model (SEL) that I didn't expect to fit into my budget. The next day I got the happy call from Mindy that she had gotten me approved for the financing at a wonderfully low interest rate (2%)! The best was when we were signing the paperwork, Mindy suddenly looked up at me and said, "Hey wait.....I can save you another $500. We just got a Labor Day special $500 off this morning!" She quickly rewrote the financing contract saving me extra money on my payments. I'm loving driving my Jetta TDI SEL and sincerely appreciate the extra efforts made by Fran and Mindy for me to have a positive buying experience. Thank you.

It was determined that they would need to keep the car in order to trouble shoot and make repairs. They immediately put me into a loaner while repairs were being made and followed up with me to advise of the progress that was being made. Will and Jason in the service department couldn't have been more accommodating and professional. What really impressed me was the call I received today from Jason in the service department who was just checking to make sure everything was okay with the car. Overall, I tend to dread the car buying experience. And, let's face it, car dealers don't have the greatest reputation but, I must say, Hudson Valley Volkswagen has changed the way I think about buying a car. Every aspect of the vehicle purchase (2014 Jetta SE) was smooth. The dealership is well organized and everyone was friendly.There's something else you should know as well - they don't skimp. I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle with 6500 miles and, to my surprise, they had already done the 10,000 mile service. Nice touch.Over all, I highly recommend that you check out Hudson Valley Volkswagen. I moved to the Hudson Valley from NYC last Fall, and Hudson Valley VW is now my "home" VW service center. To start off, I purchased my VW from a dealership on Long Island and had the worst experience ever (both sales and service). I must say, everyone I have ever interacted with at Hudson Valley VW has been nothing but professional, honest and friendly. I tend to deal with Jason in the service center quite frequently. He is amazing. I just had my vehicle serviced yesterday, and left a coupon I had at home. He told me not to worry about it, found the coupon online and applied it to the service. Long story short, I work in customer service and it truly is difficult to find businesses that really appreciate their clients. This is a great dealer with super service. I had a problem at another dealer who did work on my V10 diesel Touareg. They told me that the work to be done wasn't covered by the warranty. I paid for the work which was expensive. I then took the car to Hudson Valley VW because the same problem was still happening. They contacted the warranty company and had the previous work covered as well as the new work. Mindy at Hudson Valley VW was just great at working this all out.Jason in service was also great at diagnosing the problem and getting it fixed. It's now working as new. Thanks to all at HudsonValley VW for going the extra mile. The sales staff is also great.

This was my second time bringing my Beetle in for service. I was greeted only after waiting a short while, but no eye contact or "I'll be right with you" until employee was off the phone. Then he was very friendly and took my keys for the service and when I asked if the car was being washed I was told, "well, if I have someone free to do it"! Then he gave me a coupon for a free wash. This was not what I expected. The first time when a young lady was in charge, she went out of her way to make sure I was greeted immediately, informed me up front that my car would be washed and kept me informed of the progress. She was literally "all over the place" doing her job, pleasing customers as they came and went! I was informed I had some damage to the underside of my car, which involved an hour of labor to be charged, and was shown the damage. This was appreciated so I understood why I was charged $120.00 labor.Anyway, last year, my car was returned, clean inside and out---sparkling like new and I have since then bragged about the dealership to friends and family telling them you can't beat the customer service, friendliness of staff (staff that passed me, actually never looked at me; last time, staff nodded and smiled, said good morning), or the extra mile they go. It is just not the same. Which is why my rating went down to 4 (almost 3) stars instead of 5.

Provided straight forward, honest service. Brought car in for an engine light on for a warrenteed fix. Found recall fixes, warrenteed fixes, I wasn't even aware of and took care of it. Updated me with how long service would take, when fixes were taking longer than expected, and had the car ready the very next day. I've been to other dealership service departments in the Hudson valley. By far my best experience. Clean friendly waiting area, happy to even see a kid friendly play area.

I like HVV for their sales team, but the service team leaves a lot to be desired. First when I needed a new tire (bubble), they told me to come in, but didn't bother to see if they had the tire in stock first, so I made a trip with a bad tire for no reason. Then they didn't call once they got the tire in stock. Then when it came time for them to repair the rims, they quoted me 2 days, and at the end of 2 days, they hadn't called. Turns out they needed a 3rd day, and I don't even get a call to tell me that? Then it would be ready the "first thing" on that 3rd day. Apparently "first thing" is at 5:00PM, because I had to call at 4:30 to see if my car was done yet, and it wasn't.If you've dealt with this service department, I'm sure you've heard the phrase "we got really busy". Seems like they are always "really busy" fixing things besides my car.

I've taken my Volkswagens to Hudson Valley for service for the last time. The Service Department is poorly trained and understaffed. While the technicians do decent work, the lack of professionalism and competency on the front end of the department is unacceptable. Repeatedly, I've had to return to HVVW to have a job finished or fixed on my car that was supposed to be performed the first time during a regular service interval. In addition, one of my family's cars was damaged on the lot last year, and the staff applied some sloppy paint to try and cover up the scratch. When I addressed this with the former service manager, Melanie, by sending photos and documenting all communication, she played dumb and of course offered to have it fixed. However, my trust in their integrity began to wither.Most recently, there is a new service manager, but the sloppiness still persists. I booked a service appointment through their website and received a confirmation, but when I showed up, they did not have the appointment in their records, claiming it was a computer glitch they've been aware of. IF YOU ARE AWARE OF PROBLEMS AND DO NOTHING TO FIX THEM, YOU ARE LAZY AND INCOMPETENT. After I said I could just leave the car because I'd requested a shuttle, they claimed I lived too far for the service, even though I live within 15 miles of the dealership, AS IT IS ADVERTISED ON THEIR WEBSITE. When I pointed this out, Will (service manager) began to scramble for a driver, but as they were understaffed, the earliest they could provide was in an hour and a half. I rebooked the appointment for the following week, since they had wasted my time already. When I returned this week, I asked for the dept to investigate an issue as to whether or not it was covered under my existing warranty, as well as specific instructions for my tire rotation because of the tread difference on two new front tires. When Jason finally called me at the end of the business day to finalize the service transaction, I asked about the warranty issue and he said,"I don't know, but I can check for you and call you tomorrow." WHY DIDN'T YOU FIND OUT WHEN I ASKED YOU? Then, when I picked up the car after service hours, I discovered the tires had not been rotated specifically as I'd requested (because I wanted to keep the better tread on the front in the winter season). Jason called the following morning to apologize, but still no mention of the warranty question. Now during the first instance regarding this appointment, I had called back to speak to a manager. Neither the general manager or sales manager were on the lot, so I had no other choice but to file a complaint with the regional VW corporate office about this dealership's ineptitude. I expect more efficiency and better performance from a VW service dept. They are constantly bungling up service, tripping over their mistakes, and wasting my time and customer loyalty. I absolutely do not recommend this dealership.

We could not be more pleased with the seamless process that we went through with them. I purchased a Golf in 2006 from them and loved their attitude and customer service. I brought my car in for routine service after recently moving to the area. Upon examination they noticed I had a faulty ball joint which needed replacement. As the part was not immediately available they gave me a loaner car to use until repairs could be made the following morning. When I picked up my car the following day I noticed my left rear blinker was out. They replaced it immediately at no charge. I even got a coupon for a free car wash as the service department was short staffed because of the holidays!

I recently purchased a 2013 CPO Golf TDI. The experience was flawless with no issues. I had looked at the car a couple months back and there was no pressure even when we couldn't come to an agreement on my trade. The general manager laid out his reasons for the value and didn't try to nickel and dime me. When I saw the car was still available and I had sold the other car, I called Eric up and inquired about the Golf again. Within a couple days we reached an amicable agreement. I flew into Stewart and Eric even came in on his day off to pick me up. The car is perfect and Mindy was great with the completion paperwork. They really have their stuff together and I will definitely be keeping an eye on their inventory. Excellent dealer and friendly staff all the way around!

I bought my 2013 TDI Passat from this dealer. The sales experience was the best I ever went through, and I've bought from many different dealers. I've also had three service visits since my purchase and have no complaints. Two of the service visits were for routine maintenance, and one was to replace the Blue DEP injector that malfunctioned. The Blue DEP injector failed again after a week, but this dealer went above and beyond to re-replace the unit. (I guess that's technically a 4th visit) I was sick as a dog at the return visit, and the service counter folks recognized that. They kicked the service mechanics into high gear to minimize my waiting time and I really appreciated that. On my last visit I went in for scheduled maintenance and an alignment since the car was pulling to the right after the last winter and resulting potholes. It was discovered that my tires were beyond useful life and a fair price was quoted for new tires. This was unexpected work on a busy Saturday, but the scheduled and unscheduled work was all completed on time. I have no regrets, would buy from this dealer again, and will recommend them to any VW folks nearby.

My wife and I traded in our 2009 TDI Jetta that was plagued with the VW DSG trans and Dual Mass Flywheel nightmare, for a 2013 Passat, one owner with 17K miles... very clean certified used car complete with extended warranty. Despite our previous decision to avoid this dealership because of past experiences over 5 years ago (entered X2 and NO salesperson available)- we decided that the sign and drive deal was good enough for our "3 strikes you are out" final attempt. Entered on a Thursday evening-promptly introduced to Eric and despite the dark and cold (it was about 6:30PM) we were able to locate a car we thought we might like. Initially not thinking we could get back before the following week, the next morning we decided to test drive the car. Eric was more than accommodating, pulling the car up so we could really see the color and interior well. The test drive was on another car to minimize mileage buildup (since we chose the car, we appreciate this protective action and you will too). The price was on target with our insurance companies buying program-no hassles, pressure, etc. Mindy was superb in her assistance with the finacing part. Hudson Valley VW has won us over big time. We were lucky to be assigned to Eric, I can see why he has so many awards on his wall (Mindy too). I have a good friend who also purchased from Eric and raved about him, but the proof is when you experience it yourself.If a VW is in your future, do not hesitate to give this dealership a chance. We brought our 2014 VW Passat in for service yesturday 12/3/14 and had a very unpleasant experience. The service personnel told my wife that we needed to add fluid to our car or else it would not drive away from the dealer and would damage the engine. The interesting thing about this is that the reservoir was not empty and the indicator in the dash was not even illuminated. It was a quick and easy way to scalp $60.00 more dollers from us. Prior to bringing the car in for service, simply for an oil change I read the owners manual which showed how to add the fluid when low, and that there is an indicator light. I'd had already purchased the fluid and planned on putting it in my self following the manual. We are disgusted with this dealership and will never return.

I purchased my diesel Passat in May of 2013 and I am very happy with it and the dealership. The customer Service is excellent and the staff is helpful and willing to take the time to answer any questions I have. The one issue I have is the price for the exhaust Fluid is in my option too high. I understand that this is an additional cost of owning a diesel car in todays world, but to be charged labor hour of labor for this service, which in essence is like topping off other fluid in the car. I give the dealership 5 stars all accounts except for price. The other price items are fair.

I recently purchased a 2012 Volkswagen Golf tdi from this dealer. The car was certified preowned low miles and came with a 24k mile warranty. I did a cpo and chose to pay the taxes and registration fees myself. Shortly after buying the car I had a check engine light, tire pressure sensor and tempeture sensor going crazy. Going in and out of winter mode. The wiper blades were all shot and the left rear mudflap off alignment. Now I realize it's preowned and it won't be perfect. But the mechanical faults I assumed the warranty would cover. I call Hudson Valley about the issues, they were very friendly and said to come in its all covered. I live 2hours away mind you. So I drive out from CT and they made me wait an hour. I was patient and eager to get my car fixed. They take a look at the vehicle and refuse to warranty the issues. They blame me for the failure. The temperature housing is broken and the wires and sensor are corroded from weather exposer. I pointed out that the bumper had been obviously touched up and the grills were new, so they must have missed the mechanical bits broken behind the bumper. Rather they blamed me. Asked if I hit a raccoon, when obviously there's no damage on the bumper or grill. I wasn't asking for a ttrs and I even offered to pay for parts but no. They refused to replace the broken bits on a car I litterally just bought. Gave me a $500 estimate and and didn't even give me new wiper blades. So I left politely and told them I was very disappointed. I ordered $85 worth of parts to disassemble the front bumper and fix the issue myself. I still have to pay taxes and registration fees. I'm just sorely disappointed that the warranty it has is useless, and they will do anything to wiggle out of it. The best part is they implied I was an idiot for not purchasing their 100k mile warranty for $3400. What a terrible dealership. :update: I called volkswagen America and opened up a case. VW was professional and prompt. They were shocked and apologized about the poor service. I returned the parts and payed nothing thanks to VWA. At this point I have 12k miles left on my warranty and no issues with the car. When the warranty runs up I'll take the car to high speed motorsports in milford ct. He's the best and far more affordable than the dealer or other shops. End of the day VW backed their product. Just remember dealerships can be hit or miss.

If you need quick service- please be careful of using this place. Dropped my car off early in the morning for an oil change which I need by 1:00pm for work. Car was not down until 5:00pm. I called earlier in the afternoon to see the status which I was redirect to a voicemail stating to leave a message and they will immediately call me back. Never received a phone call back. Upon walking into the VW dealership, I was immediately greeted. The inviting, professional, and clean showroom was completely impressive. I was in the market for a new car. I took a Saturday to make my dealership rounds. I came to VW first. Test drove and discussed financial details of a 2014 Jetta with Eric Anderson. I wanted to do a little shopping around to be sure I was making the right decision. Each and every other showroom I walked into turned me off almost immediately. Not only were they loud and often downright dirty and unorganized but the staff were not very friendly or welcoming. By the end of the day I was back at VW and by Tuesday, I was driving away in my new Jetta. Every time I get into her I am amazed not only by the sheer beauty of the car but by the care and professionalism the entire process was. Eric Anderson was extremely knowledgeable, professional and personable. When someone likes what they do, it shows. I will be recommending him and the dealership to anyone I know in the market for a new car! Mindy in finance was also a pleasure to deal with. She was prompt, professional, personal and seemingly just as excited as I was about getting a new car. The employee who showed me the workings of my new Jetta (maybe Dave or Dylan, I can't believe I have forgotten his name!), was clear, precise, and easy to follow. He really took his time to go over every detail! This is how a dealership should be, no gimmicks, no dance party atmosphere, popcorn or balloons. Now, all I need is a name for my new car!

First of all, my service advisor, Jason Hinderstein, is top notch. He must deal with a lot of upset customers each day and yet he somehow manages to keep his cool and even smile for the customers. Give that man a raise!! Now, as for the pricing, the labor rates are a bit high and pricing can get ridiculous, especially when it takes under two hours for them to do 3-4 jobs and you're charged for 3+ hours of labor. $200 for a 20 minute spark plug job is nuts. Charging $90 to spend half an hour taking apart a headlight to get the bulb seated is outrageous, let alone that they even charged me for something that I shouldn't have to even have someone else do and that is a known vw issue - if nothing else,they should've made it a warranty issue since it was the last time I had them fix the headlights. That said, tire installation costs are relatively reasonable and they have a nice waiting area with magazines and Oprah on in the background.

Well we all know used car shopping is had, after many dealerships we came accross volkwagon. Really did not consider a volkwagon but we were running out of options. There we found Fran and a no pressure buying experiance, think we made three or four visits and test drives before making a purchase decision, you would think the salesman would be more aggressive but we never got that feeling. They are committed to providing all perspective buyers with all the info and knowledge needed to make a decision as to what vehicle will work best for the customer, not the dealership. My daughter was looking for a new car and was getting turned off by numerous dealerships due to hard sell tactics, uncaring and downright rude attitudes from salespeople. I suggested she give HVVW a try and ended up purchasing a new Jetta SE the same day. She has had nothing but positive reaction to her experience at HVVW and now she like myself has become a lifelong HVVW customer. HVVW is 70 miles from my home but the level of service makes up for the extra mileage. I found 2 used cars on-line they had in their lot. The Jetta and the Passat. I had never owned a VW before so I was unsure which of these cars suited my needs best. The salesman did an excellent job explaining the differences between the 2 cars and which one best suited my needs. There was absolutely no pressure or persuasion to buy either car. I did a test drive in the Passat and was very impressed in the performance! After making the decision to buy the car they made the paperwork quick and easy. It was a very pleasant car buying experience!

I have been coming here for the past 6 years to service an originally owned 2004 Jetta and for the most part everything has been favorable and I just purchased and 2014 Jetta Wagon and the experience was a good one. Negotiating a price went smooth and Vercie Walker was patient despite the fact that he had a family matter to tend to. He kept his composure and we closed the deal in a matter of a couple of hours. I would normally only make a purchase at New Milford VW, Hoever, TDi Golfs are quite rare these days so finding one is a bit of a challenge. We saw the 2011 Golf TDi on the Hudson Valley VW web site and decided to take a look. We called and spoke to Versie. Very nice on the phone and was able to answer all of our questions. We told him we'due be by in about an hour to see the car.When we arrived to car was parked right out front (great tactic) and ready to roll. Versie was very friendly and very low pressure. During the test drive we had great conversation which really made us feel at home.The car had a few more miles than I would have preferred but at the price along with all of the options it was a steal. We placed a deposit on the spot. Sent Versie an e-mail to get some final information. He responded on his day off!Picked up the car, everything was ready as promised. We were in and out in less than an hour with our trade in.Still love New Milford VW but I would not hesitate to send anyone to see Versie Walker. Overall an A++ experience.

After doing my research (CertfiedVW and Truecar.com) I went on a search for my VW TiGuan. I knew I had to let the wife test drive one, so we headed towards a VW dealership on Long Island. Won't say which dealer, but I was surprisingly appalled at the treatment they gave me. Guess they never heard that, "every one that walks through your doors is a potential buying customer." I even took the time to mention I did my homework on the TiGuan; to no avail they tried to sell me the dud on the lot. The salesman's final words were, "you're about to get me fired."A month later, enter Hudson Valley to save the day. The Premier Collection salesman, Mr. Anderson kept in contact with me for three days as negotiations were going on about the particular vehicle I wanted. Then last Saturday, he called. The TiGuan I wanted was available again (2:45p.m.atBarclayStadium). By 4:15p.m., I was shaking his hand at Hudson Valley VW, Wappingers, N.Y.. Impressed with my determination, we spoke, considered options. He gave me his professional opinion and within 20 mins or so, we came to a deal.Mr. Anderson turned me over to Mrs. Nowik, finance coordinator. She had such a pleasant demeanor. I think I would have signed anything she asked. Both assured me, that my VW would be ready on Friday, and when I arrived at 3 p.m. yesterday, my new baby was shiny, without blemish waiting for me. Moral of this story, don't judge your customers, put your best pitch forward, and you will make the sale.

My check engine light was coming on and off for awhile now. I was going up Rt 9 in Fishkill,NY when it came on again. This by the way wae yesterday(Saturday) At 2pm. Melanie took my car into her shop asked one of her techs to scan it. He told Mel what it was and how long to fix the problem. Mel told me it was exhaust related and covered under warranty. 45 min later I was on the road!! To anyone else this would be extraordinary level of service. Beware of buying and servicing your VW at Hudson Valley or anywhere for that matter. I have a 2012 Jetta TDI wagon which has been very disappointing. The service department continuously tries to up sell the consumers with products I have found elsewhere for less than half their prices. The tires and rims are of such poor quality they do not withstand normal wear and tear. I had 2 rims bend and the dealership quoted me over $2000 to fix the problem which I had fixed by my location repair shop for $200. Recently I had a flat tire and called VW ROADSIDE assistance at 2pm.....a woman in Florida answered then left me on hold for 25 minutes....finally she arranged for a repair truck to come....the NEXT DAY at 2pm (24 hours later)......it was 10 degrees. I called the dealership to report the incident and they said they did not have anything to do directly with Roadside assistance. They did nothing.....not a phone call or coupon......just an "I'm sorry" on the phone. WELL NOW I'M SORRY BUT I AM TRADING MY VW FOR A HONDA......TOMORROW :)

Every time I bring my car into get serviced, I am always greeted with a friendly smile. Everyone at the counter is knowledgable and helpful. I am always extremely satisfied upon completion of my visit. If I have to sit and wait, they offer snacks and beverages. If I need a ride, they offer a shuttle. I will always bring my car back for service and would certainly recommend it to friends and family.

This is the second time that I have used Hudson Valley Volkswagen for my service needs. The mechanics do a great job but the people at the desk lack basic costumer service skills. I was told my car would be ready in an about hour. 2.5 hours later I asked what was taking so long. The guy at the desk gruffly said that I need to be patient and that an oil change usually takes awhile. In the 2-3 hours that I waited I witnessed other costumers being treated badly. One woman came to pick up a new key, she waited for an hour and then they told her that they lost it and try to blame it on her!! As one man's car was finished they gave him the wrong keys and he had to come back to get the right ones.This service department is a mess! They are unorganized and very rude.

My 13' GTI has been recently giving me transmission issues. At the 20k mile maintenance appointment I brought up the issue to the service clerk at Hudson Valley VW. His immediate reply was "that is normal". Felt like the typical response you give when you don't want to deal with something. I explained that I have at least 3 other friends/family with the exact same model car and year and there's do not experience the same as mine, so this being "normal" was not something I agreed with. At this point he asked the technician who performed the 20k mile service on my car to take it out for a test drive with me. The test drive should have been something offered first when I first brought it up instead of getting the "that's normal" response. The technician on the test drive agreed that something felt "weird", "not quite right". When we returned back from the test drive the technician informed the service manager of his findings which agreed with my assessment that something isn't right. I was told that they would put in a call into their resources at VW of America and will get back to me within a few days. After 2 weeks of not hearing from them I called them up to get an update and was told that the person with the update was out on vacation. I guess they don't document or put their computers to good use there. How can there be no documentation of an update on any paperwork or in their system of my issue. During this call I was asked for my # so that someone could call me back with an update. Again, you should already have my # if you're actively working on trying to resolve an issue with my car. They took my # and I was told someone would call me back within a day or two once the person who had my update was back from vacation. A week had passed and still no update. I called back again and this time I spoke with the person who was supposed to have an update but this person's update to me was "technician who's been working on your issue was out last week, I haven't had the time to check in with him about your issue, let me get your # and I'll call you back". At this point I am getting a bit upset. So once again in this call I received no update AND once again I am asked for my contact #. Fast forward another couple of weeks and still no update. Now it's been over a month since I reported the issue. I called yet again to this dealership and guess what. Person that has an update IS NOT IN TODAY. And once again I am asked for my contact #. You'd think they'd by now have recorded my contact# somewhere for future reference. The person who picked up today was pretty rude as well. I was trying to explain to her my disappointment(without being rude to her, or getting loud) and this female kept cutting me off, not allowing me to finish any of my sentences and was no help whatsoever. She even went as far as to suggest I go to another VW service center if I felt I was not getting the proper service from them, WOW. I have now called corporate and placed a formal complaint on Hudson Valley VW of NY and opened a case so that corporate can look into my issue. Hopefully they can get the ball rolling.P.S I did not purchase my VW from this dealership because as some of the other reviewers on yelp have said, they are un-professional in the sales department. I ended up purchasing it from VW of Kingston after experiencing forceful, bad sales tactics at Hudson Valley VW of NY. Unfortunately VW of Kingston is about a 45 minute drive for me. I may end up going there for service instead.

My experience at HVV began my 2000 Audi TT deciding that it no longer wanted to run during a 350 mile trip to upstate NY from CT, on the Friday of a Holiday weekend, and after all service facilities were closed. Happy? Not me. It ended much differently... and one person gets the credit - Keli Snyder at Hudson Valley Volkswagen. After having my car towed to the dealer, I received a call from the Service Advisor on Monday morning. Keli told me she would manage the repair process, indicated that she'd get the job done promptly (I of course was begging for a speedy repair given that I wanted to continue my trip!) and told me when she'd get back to me with an estimate - both for the work and the costs ASAP.She did... and she was professional, friendly, and put me at ease... not an easy task on a Monday morning after Labor Day weekend, and especially with me... impatient and not thrilled at all with my car! :-) The best part is the fact that Keli ended up having to move some mountains when the required part did not arrive the next day. Instead of making me wait, she saw to it to have a part driven across town, at HVV's expense, and completed the job AHEAD of the time she'd originally promised. Kudos to her AND the Tech's working in the shop. Awesome Job Guys and Girls!!!When all was complete, I showed up to pick up the car. Again, the experience was awesome. My invoice was waiting, the car was at the curb, Keli helped me transfer items from my rental and back into my TT, made sure that I inspected the work HVV had done and finally, offered me directions to my intended destination. Keli is a car person. She is very adept at doing her job because she loves cars, and via my experience, I am absolutely positive she is phenomenal at working with customers. She is a valuable asset to this dealership. For those coming to or considering Hudson Valley Volkswagen, I highly recommend both the work of the shop team and Keli Snyder! The last two times I have brought by Jetta in to Hudson Valley Volkswagen, I have had to bring it right back, either that day or the day after. During my 50,000 mile visit (which costed over $900 by the way), They asked if they could perform some sort of recall service which I allowed. On the way home from this, I found that my cruise control no longer worked. I called them back, but since it was within an hour of closing time, I was told that I could not bring the car back in that day. So, I had to take the 30 mile roundtrip again the next day. For this extra trouble, I was offered... NOTHING. To add insult to injury, about a week later, I received a 5% off coupon in the mail for my 50,000 mile service. Conveniently, after this ordeal, I did not receive a survey from VW to rate their performance. It seems that you only get those when they know they are going to get perfect ratings. For my 60,000 mile service (which consisted of an oil change and tire rotation for $112 (good God)), on the way home, I noticed on the interstate that my steering wheel would vibrate quite a bit at most speeds. This was not the case on my drive to VW. So, I turned around and brought the car right back to VW (thank God it was not too close to closing time). They balanced the tires and I was again on my way. Again, this time, no survey from VW. I am really not happy with Hudson Valley Volkswagen at this point.

I work a hectic job as a Field Service Engineer and shopping for a new car can be difficult at best. Fran took the time to work with me and was patient with my hectic schedule. HV Volkswagen replaced the headliner of my 2011 Jetta. The old headliner was drooping and I was already out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty period. Not only was the replacement done very well, but the dealership said I should contact Volkswagen of America to see if they would make an exception and pay for some of the repair even though it was off of warranty. I did just that, and VW covered the cost at 100% and gave me a beautiful loaner car for the day of service. The staff was very friendly, just as they always are at HV Volkswagen. I would definitely recommend this dealership!

I brought my 2012 VW Golf TDI in for it's 20,000 mile CareFree Maintenance (First three services Free, thanks VW) and I was greeted by very friendly people at the service desk. Jason was the one that helped me this visit and he was very professional and extremely friendly as well as thorough. If he didn't ask how I was on my safety inspection I would have forgotten to ask for that to be done. It was expiring... The 20k mile service included a pollen filter change and that along with the inspection took a little longer than I had expected but Fran, the sales guy that I bought the car from almost a year ago recognized me and came up to say hello and chat some so the time went by fairly quickly. Fran was as friendly as ever and I was reminded why I gave this dealership such a great review back when I bought my TDI last year.

I hate car shopping. So, when my current car's transmission started to go, I was forced to look for a replacement. I decided on a used Jetta TDI as my top choice. HV VW is my local dealer, and Versie Walker was my salesperson. He was friendly, knowledgable, and informative, and not at all pushy. I purchased the car from them, and the experience was as pleasant as can possibly be expected. If you are in the market for a VW, I would highly recommend them.

Notice all the favorable reviews are for those having warranty work done. If you have to pay?...find a good local mechanic, this place is a rip off. Their hourly rate is well over $100. These are VWs, not Porsches! People are friendly, place is clean....so if you're made of money, go for it. Otherwise, stay away.

I am from out of the area, but, visit the Hudson Valley region regularly. On 5/13/13 my 2009 Tiguan experienced brake issues while I was in the area, I immediately called Jason. My past experiences with the service department allowed me to confidently seek assistance.Even without a prior appointment Jason was able to get me right in and assess the problem. The problem was diagnosed and the repairs were made all within a 3 hour time frame.

I brought my car in without an appointment due to a check engine light indicator. Jason took the car in right away and game me a loaner car for the day. The parts and service was covered under an extended warranty (free). Everytime I bring my car in to get serviced I get treated with respect. As a first time VW owner and to this dealership, I found the sales and delivery of my vehicle to be a much better, almost ideal, experience than I expected. Bought my car from Heart VW in Kingston. Major repair after 2 weeks of ownership....$10,000 dollar repair (thank god under warranty) While they had it for repair (2 weeks) they drove it into a wall, and backed it over a curb....and failed to mention this to me when I picked it up. Interior dirty when picked up coffee stains on console ketchup or tomatoe sauce on head liner. Gave my personel car to there mechanic to bring home and use. Used a tank of gas. Put a few hundred miles on mmy car, and looked like kids were climbing all over my back seats with dirty shoes on. Went to Hudson Valley VW and was waited on by service advisor Jason. Very professional, very friendly......No Dents, Good service, treated with respect. Very careful with my car and even treated me to a car wash on top of all that. Hudson Vallet VW I will be using you for all my VW sales and service from now on.....THANK YOU.

After buying a used car at this dealership I returned once to have the oil changed. That was a bit expensive and the service people suggested some unnecessary repairs.A few months later there was a recall on the car and I brought the car in again. When i came to pick it up on a Friday afternoon I was told by the service manager not to drive the car too far - it needed a new transmission!When i asked to speak to the mechanic I was told he was too busy and not allowed into the service area. The next week I brought the car toanother mechanic who test drove the car and could find nothing wrong. Since then I've driven the car 45,000 miles with no transmission issues.How dishonest can a car dealer get?

This is the first time I have had my 2012 VW Beetle serviced. The experience was eerie. It brought me back to when I had a 1966 VW Bug. No matter how old she became (she "died" with 120k miles on her), she always ran like new after a scheduled service. Same thing with this service. She was clean, ran like a top and any concerns were addressed, except for the little noise, which the technician, of course, could not reproduce. (I think I have figured out why technicians can never reproduce the noises we hear so easily - they don't take the ear protection out when they take our cars for test drives.)

My experience with Scott and the rest of the HVVW team was great. The whole process was pleasant and pressure free. Everyone from the lady at the front desk to Mindy the finance lady to Scott the sales guy all were great to work with. I came in asking about a trade we worked out a deal and I picked up my car in a couple of days(my choice). Set up and appointment for my 30k mile service online on Monday for Wednesday, and they took my car in right away when I arrived. Carla was very friendly, attentive, thorough and understanding. I told her things I wanted the service crew to check out, and she notated it all in the service write-up. She also went through what was going to be done for the 30k service, and I was surprised there was going to be no charge for any of the work, despite the car having been purchased used (CPO) from the dealer. The service did take over an hour, but it involved changing the oil and filter, flushing the brake fluid, checking the brakes, along with a couple of other things I wanted them to look over, plus they brought my car to the carwash and washed it (without asking me) and it looked cleaner than it did when I first bought it. The only negative is that they must've used a brush at the carwash as there were some swirls in the paint; next time I will ask them not to use any brushes when they wash the car. When the car was ready, Carla had me sign off on another form that had detailed notes for everything done to the car and all of my concerns from earlier were addressed on it (she also recapped this info verbally). Next time, I will also try to set my appointment for a day and time my salesman (Fran Fuchs) will be there, so I can say hi.

I went to Hudson Valley Volkswagen (HVV) to have service performed on my 2007 Passat, and while I was waiting, I asked to speak with a salesperson about a used GTI I had seen on the HVV website. Eric (sales) explained that the used GTI had been sold, so I asked hime to "run the numbers" on a new 2013 GTI. Eric came up with a vehicle and payments that worked with my needs and showed me a well-equpped GTI. Mindy (business manager) very quickly had arranged financing and explained all the details clearly, answering all of my questions. Eric went over the GTI with me, and gave me detailed instructions on all of its available features. They had my new GTI ready to go by the later that same day and I am very happy with the quality of this car! It handles very well, has many features as standard equipment that I wouid expect to pay additional cost for from other manufacturers. My overall experince was very pleasant, everyone was friendly and took all of my financial and time needs seriously. The service team was also very pleasant and patient during this process, and adjusted the work being done to my Passat once I informed themof my desire to purchase a new vehicle. Overall, I was very impressed with how well organized and efficient both the sales and service teams performed. All of my prior visits to Hudson Valley Volkswagen have been positive, and I look forward to my next service visit. I would recommend this dealership and Volkswagen to anyone looking to purchase a new or used car.

I have owned well over 30 cars in my driving years, and have not been treated this well to date! Fran Fuchs not only covered every possible detail of my new car, but he went out of his way to show me how to master my after market stereo that was in the car from the last owner. He did not have to be that interested, he also went on line and located and printed out a detailed owners manual for me. I was treated like royalty! Also Mindy took care of all my needs and found me a rate that I did not think was possible. I hardly had to do a thing. Great team work!!!

They were professional and very courtesy. The anit-thief lug was missing from my car of only a year old so when I took it to a NYS Inspection station they could not remove the wheels to check the brakes and failed my vehicle. The dealers rememdy the issue and gave me a anit-thief lug for my vehcile to prevent any future issues. All at N/C.

Always helpful, friendly and genuinely concerned about providing me with what I want not just to sell me a car every time I walk in the door . They go that extra mile to insure that when you leave, no matter what you stopped in for you have a smile on your face. I've owned 10 VW's since 1964 including Jettas, Campers, GTIs in California and New York. Sure I've purchased or leased other makes but I always return to VW because they are all fun to drive, don't break the bank and are incredibly dependable. I was going to another dealer for a few years but once I discovered Hudson Valley VW I will never go anywhere else to purchase or lease a new VW. You should also know that they are not the most convenient to where I live; I drive an hour and a half to get there. They are that good!

Melanie ensured me, that a computer check to determine why my vehicle was stalling would direct her team towards identifying the problem. When I arrived for service, my service writer made sure to clearly document all of my issues with our vehicle. I can honestly say that, over the years, my experience with this Service Dept. has always been excellent. My last visit was no exception: expert technical work done quickly and very helpful and friendly service advisors who took the time to explainin detail what is needed and what will be done. Many special thanks to Melanie Sullivan, for her extended help this time.Parts for my car, an older model, are not always readily available and I must mention the effort made by the team to locate and order a replacement for the old broken telescopic antenna, reviving my radio.It really gives me piece of mind knowing that the car passed a multi-point inspection and it is safe to drive. Needed coolant and an oil change. Got a pressure test to see why I was losing coolant. They rotated tires while I was there. They even washed my car! I took a really nice long walk with my dog in the forest behind the shop. Then it was done! in less than three hours and not much over 100 bucks. When we were indoors waiting, my labrador, Kahlua, eventually met everyone who worked there from sales and parts to service and mechanics and liked them all too. She is usually a great judge of competence and authenticity. The car runs and rides great and looks NEW.

WOW!!! What an experience. I had red carpet treatment here at HVVW. Carla assited me with a service issue on my 2012 Tiguan (owned for less than 1 year with 5,ooo miles on it) that I leased from another dealer. Carla smiled and assured me the vehicle would be handled properly. After diagnosing the issue, she said they would need to keep the car for a period of time while waiting for parts. The 2 week turnaround time was handled well while I was provided with alternate transportation at no cost to me. This made my time without my Tiguan much easier. After I got my Tiguan back, I called VWoA to express my concern. They worked close with HVVW to further make my experience a positive one with a bit of extra compensation.This experience has left me very very happy. I cant stop talking about it to my friends, family, and clients. My wife told me that if I keep stopping strangers in the mall to tell them about my experience.... she is going to stay home or wait in the car.... but I can't help it. THANK YOU HUDSON VALLEY VW.mb

Service was great. I had a 1pm appointment. I got there about 12:45. They drove the car into the garage exactly at 1pm. They asked if I wanted a complimentary car wash: I said "yes". The car's service was finished by 2:15pm. The car was then taken to be washed. I don't know exactly when the car's wash was finished, because I was not notified that the car was ready to go. I discovered my car (running) and asked if the car was ready. The front desk seemed surprised that the car was finished. They tried to locate the keys (the keys were already in the car). She then tried to print out the receipt, but I reminded her that I had already received it when she first told me the car's service was finished.I admit that the service area was busy, but it seemed like a break-down in communication. I don't blame the front desk; it seems to me that no one notified her that a customer's car was finished and that it was left running. I drive from Saugerties to get my car service. I think for my next service I will go to Kingston.Let me re-iterate something though: this comment of mine should not be taken as if I will NEVER visit Hudson Valley Volkswagen. This is a very good dealership. I am EXTREMELY pleased with my 2012 Passat and still think it is the BEST car I have ever bought (over 40 years of purchasing new cars!). Volkswagen should be VERY PROUD of the product they have produced. I will be purchasing Volkswagen in the future!

I was going to visit my family when my rear tire on the left side just blew out. It was without warning with just about 4,000 miles on it. I have had the car 3 months. VW of Wappingers was great!They made sure we were okay as well as my pregnant wife. Both people behind the desk assured us they would take care of everything. We had a lovely brunch with my family, and when we were done the car was too. Just so we did not have to come back again they also did the service we were going to need in a couple of weeks. The best part of it all they did not charge us because of what we went through. A sense of commnuity is important to me. It is why I became a volunteer firefighter. We made the decision to purchase a certified pre-owned Jetta on Friday to be pick up on Saturday. When the vehicle went on "Sale" for the weekend as posted on the website,they honored the new price without any hassle. We appreciated their integrity and fairness. One thing though that we would like to mention in all fairness and honesty...the DMV charge had been worked into the original contract price/deal, but when Mindy reworked the contract for the new sale price she made a change and charged us extra for the DMV transfer. When we brought this to her attention she said she did not see that and would have to redo the paperwork, but then hesitating, she changed her mind and said that it did not apply to the new lower price and did include a DMV charge in addition to the price. Otherwise, our overall experience was very good.

I came in looking to lease a Jetta or Passat, and ended up getting a better deal financing a '12 CPO Jetta thanks to the help of Fran. I didn't think I could qualify for the financing for a $16000 car (which would've cost $21000 new), but Fran and Mindy showed me how I could qualify, and Mindy helped me to get approved for credit. Both are very nice, approachable and laid-back people and don't act like the typical car dealer sharks salivating over the customers (though they definitely wanted to sell me a car, but that's to be expected). I didn't get the best interest rate (don't have the best credit) but I still felt I was getting a good deal due to the car being a higher end model (Jetta SE) costing less than a new stripped down Jetta (with the 2.slow engine, no cruise control etc.), and the dealer made me feel like a valued customer. Fran showed me all of the features of the car, even ones I may never use, and he shared stories of his experience with VWs that could relate to my car. Very humble, down-to-earth and easy-going man and yes, he does have a good sense of humor too (and not overbearing at all). It seemed like I had known him forever. Fran and Mindy made the buying process painless and enjoyable and I look forward to visiting the dealer again. I also told them that a big part of the reason I chose Hudson Valley VW over other dealers (it was the first dealer I even looked at, to be honest here) was all the outstanding reviews on this review site.

My wife and I went to the VW dealership in Wappingers, NY. We looked around the parking lot with no pressure. When we were ready we walked inside and were greeted by Bunny DiRoma. She was very nice and helpful. Not pushy or annoying but a REAL salesperson, down to earth and very good at her job. She took me for a test drive in 2 different models of VW I was interested in. She helped us run numbers which sealed the deal. Bunny then helped expedite the paperwork and passed it along to the finance department, who was very helpful and nice as well. We were able to pick up the car the next day. This is were Bunny helped show me all the options of the car and even set up my phone and music stations. I was very happy with my purchase.

Went in for my 1st service on my new to me '10 CC. They were replacing a piece of trim on the back window and clearing a Service now light. Dropped the car off with no problem, they even offered me a ride home. Never had that happen. Got a call a couple of hours later that the car was ready. Got home later and realized that the Service now message was still there, called customer service and they walked me thru how to clear the message. Great friendly service. I'm really glad I picked this dealership.

I always come back to VW for many reasons: they are fun to drive, they're reliable, they last, they look good and I have never had any major problems or issues with any of them but what I like the most about my 2011 SE besides the car is the dealership. Hudson Valley Volkswagen makes every step from shopping for, the purchase of, customer support and service a pleasurable experience. The service department provides the best experience I have ever enjoyed at any dealership for any make of car I've owned to date. I travel 60 miles for this experience even though there are other VW dealers much closer. These folks really care about you and your car, they even wash and clean your car inside and out before the turn your car back to you, which blows my mind. I have never had that little courtesy offered to me no matter which make I've owned before. They also provide free coffee and snacks as well as a clean and well appointed waiting room. It's the small stuff like that which will turn a one time customer into a loyal returning one.It had such an impact on me that I sent my daughter down to look for a new car after she had been turned off by other dealers. She had the same quality experience and ended up buying a new Jetta and loves it.These are the reasons that from now on Hudson Valley VW is my dealership.

I have had to bring my car in for so many problems, I could write a book. We bring it in for immediately noticeable problems (shaking, vibrating, noises, recall issues) and service says, we could not replicate the issue so there is no problem. We pick up the car and it makes the noises as we are driving away from the dealership. And to find out what is happening you have to call again and again get told they will call you back and they never do, and that is when they answer the phone. I will never buy another VW. I would sell this one today, but it depreciated so drastically I owe more than it is worth.

My HVVW experience was EXCELLENT! I had did my homework on Jetta TDIs and wanted to take one for a test drive since it had been 10 years since my I had owned my previous TDI. Versie was superb, knew my time was limited, answered my questions point blank and made this one of the simplest car sales in my life. When I dealt with Mindy she respected me obtaining my own financing and was extremely honest and thorough in explaining my after sales options available to me. No pressure only honest up front information and left it for me to decide. That type of respect for my time and knowledge probably led more to me wanting to purchase extended programs knowing I was dealing with a honest business than any pressure sales or impending doom scenarios ever would. When it came time for delivery I have never seen a sales person so knowledgeable and thorough as Versie was to ensure I knew all the features of my new car, I was impressed. I am looking forward to working with their service department when the time comes as I feel comfortable in knowing that they too will be honest and up front in my cars needs. A few others in the auto industry could take lessons from Hudson Valley VW.

I live an hour and a half away from this dealership. We stopped in one day on after a college visit in the area, found the Tiguan 2010 and spoke with Bunny DiRoma who was helpful, gracious, and understood all the reasons why we were interested in a VW ~ safety first!! We wound up leaving a deposit on the car, went home and did some research at more local dealerships. We couldnt find the exact vehicle and, we couldnt find another salesperson that we trusted more. We took TWO more trips north to Hudson Valley VW and ultimately purchased the Tiguan that my son cannot stop smiling about. We love it and we are so grateful to have worked with Bunny and then Mindy. I hope my son goes to school near there so that he can have it serviced there as well!!

I knew I was going to buy a car but I had no idea when I started the process that it was going to be a VW. I came in to Hudson Valley VW asking questions about when the new VW diesels would be coming out. Fran fielded my questions but since there was no official word on this he couldn't answer definitively on my first visit. Fran did however follow up via email and let me know that they would appear in the 2014 vehicles. At that point I didn't really want to wait that long especially if I could get a great deal on a 2 Door Golf TDI I saw sitting on their lot. After a bit of haggling involving both my trade and the Golf TDI we struck a deal and I drove home with a Golf TDI which I'm finding to be an absolute blast to drive and I'm shocked to be getting well above the EPA highway rating on my daily commute. The staff at Hudson Valley VW couldn't be friendlier and the car buying process was surprisingly smooth even with the bit of haggling that was done. Fahrvergnuegen is alive and well!!

Called to schedule a 10K service, and was given an appointment for later that afternoon. Car was taken in immediately, and person at service desk told me I was due for an inspection the next month (a few days away). Asked if I wanted that done, too. After not too long a wait, both 10K service and inspection were done, and I was charged just $10 (for the NYS Inspection). Very satisfied with speed of getting car in and out, and being saved a second trip to dealer to take care of inspection the next month.

I brought my old Passat to be serviced, but it turned out to need over $4000 in repairs so I decided to replace it. I needed that to happen in very short order. It was late in the day, but due to the amazing organization of Bunny DiRoma it happened. I left by end of day with a used Jetta TDI station wagon in excellent condition -- exactly what I had been planning to buy in a few months. Bunny's great disposition and efficiency insured a painless transition.

Having had several Volkswagens in the past I was ready to experience them again. Hudson Valley Volkswagen and Bunny came highly recommended so I drove from Middletown to get my new Passat. Having never been there before I was very impressed with the atmosphere of the dealership, with the lady at the front desk (didn't get her name), Bunny and Mindy. Bunny took me for a test drive in a Passat and I was hooked. I really didn't need to drive far to know I was doing the right thing. Bunny took her time to show me the basics about the car and I'm still learning more about it. The "signing on the dotted line" part went very smoothly with Mindy, explaining each step along the way.I have showed my new car off to everyone at work and they're all very impressed and happy for me. I actually had a downpayment on the same car at another dealer and removed that downpayment and did business instead with Hudson Valley volkswagon and here is why; the management. Dealing with Mindy was fantastic. She was professional, nice, thorough, and really walked me through the process every step of the way. when negotiating the trade in with Scott Curtis I liked that I did not have to go through the typical haggling with management. He simply got an approval from Mindy and then handled everything over the phone! This was the easiest buying process I have ever had! I would recommend Scott Curtis as a salesperson to anyone! The service department in this dealership is excellent. I always feel very taken care of, which is why I always have my vehicle serviced at Hudson Valley VW, rather than Heart VW, where I have purchased all of my vehicles.I wish I could say the same for my satisfaction with the VW brand itself. While the service personnel are excellent, I am unlikely to purchase a VW the next time I need to replace my vehicle. I have purchased three consecutive VW models in the last 10 years, on the strength of the make's reputation for being a solid, durable, dependable vehicle, and have had my vehicles religiously serviced at VW dealerships. However, with each vehicle purchased, there has been some nagging issue that repetitively wears out early. With my '04 Passat, the brakes repeatedly wore out in only 20,000 miles or so; yet my '02 Passat and '09 Jetta brake performance is normal, meaning it wasn't due to my braking style. My '09 Jetta has had engine difficulties, and yesterday came a shocker: my clutch is worn out at only 98,000 miles. I have been driving a standard shift for 10 years, and I don't 'ride the clutch', so I find that the clutch wearing out in only 3 years (and all highway miles) to be an unacceptable outcome. In addition, when a small-price part (like the shift pattern cap) fails, VW fails to make just that part available...it requires me to purchase the entire shift boot assembly at a cost of $190, which, to my mind, is gouging me into unnecessarily purchasing more than what is necessary in order to correct a minor (cosmetic) issue. It is evident to me that VW (as a company) rewards repeat customer loyalty with price-gouging.The extra expenses that owning these vehicles is making it no longer worthy of my loyalty. I will very likely choose a different make of vehicle the next time I purchase, on the hope that I will not be required to spend so much additional cash on maintenance. My lone regret is that, in the future, I will no longer be having my vehicle serviced by the fine professionals at this dealership.

The employee's of Hudson Vally Volkswagen are more than helpful and very nice. My issue has absolutely nothing to do with the dealership. MY issue has to deal with the car. This is my first Volkswagen and will most likely be my last. The car is a 2010 jetta tdi. the car is only about 2.5 years old and my passenger door would not lock! I was visiting family in the bronx for 2 days with a door that wouldn't lock and I didn't even have a manual locking option! Lot's of people told me not to buy a Volkswagen because they have nothing but electrical issues.I have only owned the car for 5 months and it already had to be taken to the dealer for and electrical issue.I'm beginning to think what people say are true. IT is totally unacceptable for a 2 year old car to have door latching issues. I also own a 1994 mazda protege. That's almost 20years old!, and I've never had and issue with a door not locking.

I was allowed to look around on my own, which is what I had requested to do, without a sales person hovering over me and making me feel pressured. Scott Curtis the sales person I dealt with was GREAT!!!! He paid attention to what I was interested in. He was very well informed on the VW and the different models available as well as the financing. He was attentive to all my questions and got me the information I needed promptly and accurately. He made the process of buying a new car very comfortable. When I went to pick up my new Jetta, he went over everything in the car and manual and made me feel very comfortable driving off the lot in my new Jetta. Bunny was very responsive, phone, email, always responded promptly. I showed up at 6pm on a Monday and was done by 7pm, including a test drive. Although I arrived 10 minutes before someone else who had a scheduled appointment, she didn't rush me through the process and took all the time that I needed to get comfortable with my car purchase. They didn't have any of the colors I wanted, but I proceeded anyway as that isn't that important after all, but alas,as an added bonus, on my way out of the finance office, the manager approached me to say that as I was doing paperwork Bunny had asked him to check the inventory of their related VW dealership and in doing so he found one of the colors I wanted, and arranged to have it delivered the next day. By Wednesday afternoon I was on my way home in my new Passat. Many thanks to Bunny and HV VW !!

Debbie and Brianne have always been the most delightful service representatives for us over the past several years. I have been using the Service Department since purchasing my 2006 Jetta and adding another 2010 Jetta. The mechanics do a great job--this time around I had the 120,000 service done, and my 2006 model now sounds as good, if not better, than the 2010! Of course, I added four new tires since the old ones were screaming for a change! The only setback for the day was when I requested a steak sandwich for lunch from Debbie when she went to lunch, she only brought me back a bag of candy! The good news is that the candy included two chocolate kisses--my favorite! Leave it to your star representative--she always makes things go well!!!

The service associates take care of your car as though it were their own and are sure to give the car a complete inspection even when I visit for a simple oil change. The times that something needed replacing (recalled items, for example) the parts were ordered and appointments were taken care of in a few days. Their new Service Express program is also wonderful. This week, I found myself with a few free hours and I was able to bring my car in with no appointment. It makes taking care of the car that much easier.

Very good experience at this dealership...just wish i lived closer!First experience was the actual purchase of car. I drove nearly two hours and they were extremely helpful regarding my purchase, working with me regarding payments and my trade in as well as all other aspects of the sale. I purchased the car in the morning and by afternoon I was on my way home! Super work from top to bottom.Second experience was top notch. After noticeing I had a damaged oil pan (previous owner)the dealership took my car in, no questions asked and repaired the car in less then 90 minutes. Incredible. Although I have a dealer 1/2 mile from my house (this was 75 miles) I wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I needed to. Hudson Valley VW exceeeded my expectations and I am proud to have purchased my vehicle there. They are so experience about the car, they figure out what is the problem of my car when they hear the condition of car. When I arrived for the express service at 8:15 am, I was told it should take no more than 45 minutes. After being told I needed to get service done that was done at previous visits (that was blamed on the computer system), and not being able to process my bill properly, I walked out at 10 am late for my next appt. Melanie was extremely helpful and informative throughout the entire process. She was able to get me a loaner car on short notice and worked with me on setting a reasonable price. Even when when I was grilling her on what was wrong and why this or that needed to be done she was professional and pleasant. The service crew was knowledgeable and showed me the parts removed and explained the failures. Even though it cost me a lot of money (clutch and flywheel replacement) I'm happy. The car has never run better.

This was our first experience at a VW dealership, as well as our first time leasing a VW. Fran Fuchs was informative, helpful and the antithesis of the typical car salesman. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with him, as he took the extra time to listen to our needs and help us find the perfect vehicle for our family (a Passat). We never felt pressured or rushed, nor talked into any extras we didn't need or want. He was also respectful of our budget. Fran shared his personal experiences as a long-time VW owner, which we found helpful. Best of all, once our decision was made, he took time to show us every aspect of the car personally and invited us to call or stop in with any questions. Fran even followed up with us afterward to make sure all was going well. We wish more salespeople would take note of his friendly, laid-back approach. Even Mindy Nowik in the financing department was a delight to deal with and uber-professional. When making our decision to lease we visited many car dealerships along Route 9 and can undoubtedly say none of them were as polished and professional as VW.

Words fail me in describing the positive experiences I've had at Hudson Valley VW the last few years. I have purchased two vehicles from Eric, and I'm currently working on my third. He has always made the process as easy as possible, and even after shopping around quite a bit, I never find a lower price. The service department, which is usually the most feared area of a dealership, is a pleasure to deal with. They continually exceed my expectations, whether I'm calling with a question, getting scheduled maintenance done or having my transmission replaced. Tom is constantly checking in, even if he's just passing through the waiting area, to see how everything is going. I was lucky to find such a dedicated and trustworthy group of people.

I highly recommend this dealership. We were treated with great respect during the whole process. All my questions were answered clearly regarding the car, options and the financial process. We needed some additional assistance with the financing and Mindy and Bunny were exceptionally helpful, patient, respectful and knowledgeable. She made sure to ask how much time I had and to get all of the updates done in the perfect amount of time. Before I left she made sure to point out when my next scheduled service will be. I'm a man of 76 years of age and have purchased MANY NEW AUTOMOBILES since the year 1958. My expectation level is a high one. I've bought vehicles from each end of the price spectrum, and have had sales / service contact with at least 35 new car dealers over the span described. My most recent new vehicle purchase was made at Hudson Valley Volkswagen, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and my new 2102 VW Passat TDI / SEL was delivered to me today ( 9/30/2011 ) in pristine condition, with my many extra requests performed as desired, and to perfection. My sales person was Mr. Hunter Barton, and a more friendly and solicitous gentleman would be very hard to find. Only two others in this field of new car sales ever approached this level of dedication to the satisfaction of customer needs and desires. I cannot praise Mr. Barton enough, and have commended him to Tom Van Duyne, the General Sales manager on repeated occasions. Tom was as supportive a sales GM as I could have hoped for. I was impressed greatly by the service I received Before the Sale, During the Purchase Process, and Upon Delivery of my beautiful new 2012 VW Passat TDI. I look forward to a very positive future relationship at this dealership for all of my service needs, and, of course, my next new car purchase at Hudson Valley Volkswagen.To say that I was delighted with this entire process and my new Passat TDI / SEL would be an understatement. I went to Hudson valley VW for a problem with my 2004 passat wagon. no other VW dealer service team was able to find the problem with my vw climatronic system, but the team at Hudson valley VW was not only able to diagnose the problem but they fixed it right the first time!!! thank you so much Hudson Valley VW for making my VW Passat right again and the price was right too!! The phone etiquette is the worst of any car dealership I have ever dealt with. They never answer the phone, you leave voice mail messages and they don't get returned. This is certainly the case for the Service Department, and I've had issues with Sales team also. They make excuses for everything instead of finding answers, such as there are only 2 people working in service today, the service guy doesn't speak good English, etc. It's like they have an excuse bag they use to answer questions concerns. They expect you to accept their lame excuses. This week I took my car back first thing Wednesday morning for a small scratch (which they tred to fix prior to the sale and didn't do a very good job). First off, my loaner car was not ready, I had to wait 20 or so minutes, making me late for work. They told me the car would be done by Friday, seems long for small scratch, but OK. called Friday, now car won't be ready until Monday. I'm told they're not happy with how it came out. Makes twice now that they have tried to fix it. So now I'm without my convertible for one of the nicest weekends so far this year. I will not deal with them in the future. And there is no way I would recommend them to anyone I know.
