He made it a point to start by asking what we were looking for in the car and asked about what we were driving now. He took us for a test drive and made sure we were comfortable in the vehicle. I received fast and fair service, but I overheard another customer upset about being misguided which led her having to pay more. It may have been a honest mistake, but it cost her financially and she should have had a certain fee waived since it was not her mistake.

When I walked into Island Kia, I met Frank Rao who was referred to me by a friend. He was very courteous and friendly. Anthony Abbriano, the sales consultant, showed me the Sorrento, which is what I was interested in leasing. He suggested to test drive it to get a feel for the vehicle. I loved how the Sorrento drove. The next day, Frank located the vehicle I was looking for and the following day, I went in to pick it up. Frank and Anthony were very knowledgable and helpful. They stuck to their word, not like other experiences that I've had. This experience was a pleasure and not stressful, which is what I had anticipated. I would highly recommend Island Kia to friends and be sure to ask for Frank Rao and Anthony Abbriano!

The lease was coming up on my KIA; I did not expect to leave with a new lease that day since after visiting other KIA dealerships, an agreement could not be made. Mr. Vincent Macaluso was very understanding on what I wanted to pay and he went out of his way to present me with various options. I left with a new lease which I am very pleased with. my name is walter osborn. me and my wife grace went to island kia july 19th to only talk to a salesman about leasing a new sorento. i met with mr vincent macaluso who handled all our inquires. i told vinny that i was interested in leasing a new 2017 sorento because we loved the 2014 sorento which its lease was coming due. i told him that i couldn't surrender my car because i had a lot of things happening at this time. my son was getting married and i had to go to kennedy airport that evening to pick up my sons future wife's family. i told vinny that i would return on monday july 25th to complete the transaction. so while i was there i signed the necessary papers. the next day after giving the sale some thought i called vinny and informed him that i wanted power seats. he said that would be no problem. he also asked me if it would be all right if he could bring the car to my house that night. we were stunned to think that someone would go out of their way to do such a thing. vinny came ,we completed the paper work he changed the plates and gave me the new car. we love it. all i can say is that vinny macaluso is a special individual and we are so glad we met him. island kia should be so happy that vinny works for them. vinny thank you walter & grace

i would like to inform you that your salesman vincent macaluso is a great individual.we came in because my lease on my 2014 sorento was coming up in nov 2016.and we wanted to seewhat we could get when we returned inour car. i explained to vinny i wasn't ready at this timebecause my sons future inlaws was arriving that day from korea. he said if i was happy that we should complete some of the paper work. we liked the car so we did, i left a deposit and went home.the next day i called vinny to tell him that i changed my mind and that we wanted power seats.he told me that he had the car that day and if it would be all right to come over that evening and bring the car. myself and my wife were absolutely amazed. i have never had this happen to me in the past. once again i have to say kudos to vinnyi

Though I am a current Kia owner, this was my first experience with purchasing a new vehicle from Island Kia. I have in the past brought my car in to their service department, but now it was to buy. Krystal Bergman was fantastic with her knowledge of their vehicle stock and was extremely helpful and courteous with my shopping experience. As a result, I left there with a new vehicle, and very satisfied from start to finish. Having been involved with sales in the past, one important aspect of a business is the rapport with the customer and follow up. Krystal did it all. I stopped in today on my way home from work, and was greeted by a gentleman named Jim Lopez. I told him that I would be turning in my 2nd Soul (for a potential 3rd) if the price was in my comfort zone. He worked with his sales managers pretty closely, and was able to hammer out a deal. Mr. Lopez' first transaction happened tonight. He's new & has a lot to learn- but he's courteous & showed his coworkers that he's eager to learn the ropes. Island Kia went above my expectation for excellent service from the Internet Representative (Christine), to the Sales Representative (Krystal), the Manager and Finance Director. Using True Car I found out that Island Kia had a Kia Soul + that I was looking for. I arrived at the dealer at 7:30 pm, met with Krystal who was friendly and professional. She showed me the car, which just came off the truck - went for a test drive and decided to purchase the car. The car had just arrived to the dealer and was not logged into the inventory. The Manager ran my credit, entered the car, while Krystal prepared all the documents including contacting Geico. Staff explained each step and made the car buying experience simple and easy to understand. I highly recommend Island Kia, It's staff and look forward to purchasing another vehicle from this location.

My sales rep Vinny Macaluso was excellent. He was full of knowledge on all cars, did a thorough review of features, test drive and made the entire process of my new lease feel seamless and quick. He never made me feel pressured like the typical cliche car salesman. He walked me through setting my phone up, the diagnostic process and called me twice to make sure I was happy with the car. The overall experience my girlfriend and I had at this dealership was not only the best the entire month, but they were adamant about us being able to walk out with a car, but did everything in their power to give us the best deal. My most recent search for a new car involved extensive research into many brands and I dealt with many sales consultants. I also spoke with many KIA sales staff but found most of them to not be good listeners and really didn't care about my specific needs. This changed when we met Krystal Bergmann. She listened, was attentive, knowledgeable about the cars and very proactive in getting us the car we wanted for the price we wanted, considerate of my time and had the car available quickly. She cared about customer service, not just making a sale like others do. This includes other sales staff at Island Kia. Customers, like me , expect and respect honesty from a car dealer. The salesman did not have any idea about the Internet pricing. Therefore, he was giving us a higher price then we were expecting. Then he became frustrated and rude because we expected him to have knowledge about the internet sales. Once he called over the manager, the manager did not even take us to a monitor instead viewed the pricing and the vehicle's detail over my phone. The manager was very unprofessional and certainly lacked customer service skills. We will take our money to a dealership that offers good quality service. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Take your money to a better place that treats you with respect. I am sure the factory will be very troubled if they were aware of the bad respresentation that Anthony and Timur displayed.

The salesman did not have any knowledge about the internet pricing. Therefore, he was giving us a higher price then the internet offering. He became frustrated and rude when we expected him to inquire about the internet pricing. When he called the manager, the manager was very unprofessional and certainly lacked customer service skills. He wanted to view the pricing and car's details over my phone instead of taking us to a computer. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Anthony and Timur were a terrible respresentation of Kia. We will take our money to a dealership that treats us with respect and that have a computer with internet to verify information online.

We were making the rounds of the various dealerships and our next stop was Kia. We had fully intended to "just look". After about 15 minutes of looking in the showroom, we were approached by Krystal. She knew absolutely everything about the cars in and out of the showroom. She didn't jump into the finance aspect until she made sure she knew exactly what we wanted, we had taken a test drive, and were sure about what we could live or live without. She didn't try to talk us into something they were trying to get rid of. She took care of absolutely everything including our last payment on that nightmare Ford Fusion we had, the insurance, the registration, etc. She has an amazing personality and I only hope in 3 years when our lease is up, she is still there so we can deal exclusively with her.

I had a great experience with the folks at Island Kia. They understood what I wanted and made every effort to accommodate me. Krystal Bergman was extremely helpful, informative and patient. Our initial feelings walking through the door was that we were going into a shark tank, at feeling time (like any other dealership) and be an unpleasant experience. That soon changed when we were welcomed and introduced to our sales representative, Krystal. Both her and her manager, Vincent went above and beyond to meet our needs and expectations. We walked out of the dealership, not only with the car that we wanted, but the price as well. My husband and I felt as if we didn't get ripped off (like you feel in almost every other dealership) We felt like we were treated like family, as all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. This by far was the best dealership I have ever dealt with. I bought a used Kia for my daughter and Vincent Macaluso from the minute we got there made us feel at home. The owners have all 8 dealerships and I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else. I own a business in jersey and already was telling every customer to go to Staten Island to buy a car from these people. The only thing I have to say about Vincent and Island Kia is WOW!!!

From start to finish the experience of buying a new car was painless. Usually i dread going to dealerships because you have to play a game getting a deal, but not this time. Our sales consultant, George Engel was honest and up front. He didn't waste our time and i appreciate that. After going over our options and prices quotes, Vincent Crispino helped seal the deal. Again, there was no game playing. This was the first time i didn't have to spend half the day in the dealership. when my husband and i made our decision, George explained that he would call us in a few hours when the care was ready and to fill out the paperwork. We went back later that evening and everything was smooth sailing. Paperwork took ten minutes and we were off in our new car!!! I would recommend this dealership to everyone!!!

I went in to check out the Sportage for when my Sorrento lease expires. I ended up going home with a brand new Sportage. Totally unexpected. Saved money on my new lease and saved money on the insurance. Vincent Macaluso could not have nicer and more patient. Not pushy, new the right way to do things. Krystal our sales person was terrific, detail oriented excellent and very customer friendly. She worked with us to get the best deal on a leased Opitima EX Premium. We walked in on a Wednesday and she kept in touch during the day updating on the process and to our happy surprise we had the car on the next day, Thursday afternoon, registered, insurance plates washed and waxed and pristeen. Excellent quality and detailed customer service givn by Krystal.John Morgan in finance was very professional explaining contracts, policies, etc.. We appreciatd his good work.

I went in three weeks ago , to check out the Sorentos , I was greeted by Joesph Raimondi. I told him what I wanted , and my concerns and he listened. What I liked about him was that I didn't feel like I was at a dealership speaking to a sales guy. He made me feel like family and was very honest. When I finally decided on what I wanted he step up even more , I didn't have to do anything but just sign the papers and drive away in my new Kia Sorento . I had a full tank of gas , he went over how everything works , he even sealed with my insurance company. Went in to see about returning and getting a new lease on a Kia Sorento. After talking about different options quickly came to a agreement on a color and price. Krystal provided a lot of useful information and made the process of returning and having my new vehicle ready. What was really impressive to me was that the car was waiting to go when I arrived at the showroom and that the paperwork was also prepared and waiting for my signature instead of sitting and having to wait for it to be prepared. Krystal called a few days after pickup to ask how I liked my vehicle and if I had any questions. I thought that was a nice thing to do.

Island Kia sales team were professional and friendly. I will like to thank Moe, Krystal and Mo for providing me with a royalty welcome. The sales team and the management got me the best deal on KIA Sorento 2016. There was a little problem with the transaction. I was provided with a five passenger seat instead of a seven passenger seat SUV that I initially selected. The management acknowledged it mistakes and provided me with my selection next day at no extra cost to me. Overall, I am very satisfied with Island Kia and it staff. They are highly recommended.

I went in late one night looking to trade in my car and buy a new used suv. I lucked off and had Krystal to help me out. Even with credit that is not the greatest and income that's not huge she got me a beautiful used Kia Sorrento. Before anything, she had me do a test drive to make sure I liked the car and then spent the rest of the night working things out so I would leave with the suv I wanted. Hi - So I'm a returning customer to Kia, however, Krystal was around the night I returned my leased car. There were some issues but most importantly, she assured me that I'd be approved, have a car within a couple of days and made sure she had exactly what I wanted. For the record, I did not have any problems with my prior Kia and was happy to stay with them. Two days later I picked up the new Optima and they made sure we were well taken car of. Sometimes dealing with insurance companies and banks are not pleasant, however Krystal made this transaction quite painless. Thank you Island Kia and Krystal. I would like to share my experience with leasing a car in Island Kia. It was my second time with Kia but different dealership. What a change, what a great experience. After the first lease with Kia in Bay Ridge dealership thought will never get Kia any more, but closer to the end of the lease decided to give it a try and stopped at Island Kia dealership in Staten Island. Joe was our sales helper, very knowledgeable, honest and responsible. He recommended what was the best for us and was very patient with us. Made the whole process run nicely and fast. We got a lot of cooperation from the General Sales Manager, Frank Rao, too, and after seeing the numbers where real we made a deal. After everything was set, numbers were fixed Finence Manager John went over each number in the lease to make sure every number was clear. Thanks guys, amazing experience, great car, VERY HAPPY. Went into island Kia with thoughts of leasing a new Kia Optima. Yuri was the salesman that started to help us. He was pleasant , professional and a gentleman, unlike many car salesman who are overly aggressive and obnoxious. At first the sales manager quoted us a price that was more than we wanted to spend. With Yuri's help we got the right price for us. He was able to locate the car we wanted quickly. Great job Yuri!! Yuri was very helpful when we picked up the car and has followed up with us to ensure everything is is going well with the car. Very nice customer service from him and Island Kia.Our only minor issue was with the finance guy who was not even from Kia. I believe he was from the Hyundai dealership helping out that evening. He made us a little uncomfortable and was not clear on added protection costs and a few other concerns we had. However the sale manager did then step in to ensure we felt comfortable and had a better understanding of things. So, overall Island Kia and especially our salesman Yuri, did a great job and we were happy with their service.

My daughter took her 2014 KIA, SORENTO in for service as the 'check engine' light had come on. She was told she could not wait while the car was being checked. When she came back she was told that a spider has built a nest in the gas tank vent. A nest in the gas tank vent? First of all, the gas fumes would keep any spider's from even getting close to that vent. Does this service department think they leave the gas cap off when not using the car? To top it off they wanted to charge her $150.00 because "Spider Webs" are not covered under the Warranty. They were hoping for someone stupid enough to believe that and pay the $150.00, needless to say she wasn't! Now lets address that 'She was told she could not wait while the car.' They have awaiting room, do they not want anyone sitting in it? I my self was told two years ago when my KIA had a recall that I could not wait for the car. Believing them I took a bus home and got there just in time to hear the phone ringing telling me the car was ready. Then several months ago it took my KIA in for an oil change and again I was told I could not wait. When I said I was going to wait anyway they then said there were several oil changes ahead of me and it would take hours. Less than thirty minutes later they were done and I was on my way, what are they trying to prove by all this? Take better care of your customers KIA because this is what is stopping ME from trading in my 2011 SORENTO for a 2016, your service department!

We were called to turn in our lease early and get a deal equal to my previous deal for the same vehicle or an upgrade. The staff worked hard past closing time to work out a fantastic deal with us on an upgrade for less than $20 a month more than our previous payment with a downpayment.

My husband was driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 241,000 miles on it. It "gave up the ghost" in mid July (fortunately as he was starting his vacation). I researched quite a few cars for him and finally narrowed it down to the Kia Sportage and the Honda CR-V. We went into Island Kia and were met by our salesperson, Andrew Winslow, who showed us both the Sportage as well as the roomier Sorento, patiently answering all our questions. Surprisingly (to us at least) the larger Sorento made more sense and was a better deal. Andrew was extremely knowledgeable about these two models and I'm sure just as knowledgeable about the others. His enthusiasm and willingness to satisfy us was definitely a plus in our car buying experience. I would recommend Andrew to anyone! What a great asset to a fine dealership!From the moment we made our decision to the moment we drove off the lot, the process couldn't have been easier or more straightforward. I went into Island Kia in Staten Island NY. When I walked through the door I was greeted by more then one person . The salesperson came right up to me and shook my hand and introduced himself as Joe R. I explained to him that I was looking for a Optima. Right away he took me to the floor to show me the models that they have. He was very accommodating and answered all of my questions about the different models. I was able to make my decision with all the information that was provided to me.Joe R had called for the car so that my waiting time for the car was not that long. I went to this dealership to buy a new car and they where very pushy and didn't want to let me pick up the car the next day I found that very strange so I told them I would think it over and come back tomorrow the manager came over and told me the deal would be more for the car I wanted if I didn't take the car right there and now . I know that is not true and I was insulted that they would try to make me do something I don't want to do the manager kept trying to push me to take the car I finally got up and left the salesman called me twice right after I left with a change of tune assuming I would come back the next day I talk to a friend who referred me to another place and got me a better deal I would recommended anyone looking for a car not to go here!!!!!! My experience with Island Kia began with a reply to an online inquiry about possible financing. I was subsequently contacted by Kerri-Lee Curci who was incredibly helpful, guided me to Island Kia and even emailed me an offer to install remote start at no charge as a further incentive (which I promptly printed and forgot to bring with me). That interest extended to follow-up calls and emails and continued offers of help should I ever need it.Once at Island Kia, I asked for Chris Bennet (whose name was provided by Kerri-Lee) and explained to him that I was interested in purchasing a vehicle but had a somewhat problematic credit score. He assured me that he would do his best to find suitable financing for me if it was at all possible and turned me over to Anthony Abbriano to walk me through the process. Mr. Abbriano was both professional and friendly and helped make my visit productive and pleasant. In the meantime, Mr. Bennett found for me the best possible financing, assumed the debt I carried on my trade-in and I left with a brand new Kia Soul. I cannot adequately express how professional, friendly and helpful the entire staff was from the beginning of this experience to even after the purchase. I must extend a special thank you, though, to Chris, Anthony and Keri-Lee who all treated me with respect and professionalism but, more importantly, not as just a customer but almost as a member of the family.

What a great choice I made to give Kia a chance! Freddy was absolutely amazing and helpful. He was always honest and did not rush me into buying anything. He made sure everything was very comprehensive and communicated with me throughout the entire process. He even gave his cell number ! I had owned my previous car for 10 years, and hadn't been in the market for a new car in quite some time. I had been shopping around for another sedan, never thinking I could afford to lease an SUV in my price range. In late May of this year, my wife and myself went looking for an inexpensive second car at Island Kia. When we walked through the doors we were warmly greeted by Freddy Bosco, who listened to what our needs were in a new car. Unfortunately we weren't able to make a deal for a Kia that day, but knowing that, Freddy walked us across the street to Mazda and introduced us to Kimberly, who was just as kind and helpful in finding us our new Mazda 3. From the time my husband and I walked into this dealership, we felt welcome and not pressured at all to buy. We were looking to trade in our Kia Soul and were looking for something bigger. We purchased a new Kia vehicle and our salesman, Freddy Bosco, was excellent, knowledgeable, courteous and professional.
