Up until Saturday, July 31, 2021 I considered Jack Giambalvo Buick GMC a loyal dealership to it's repeat customers. I've purchase two Sierra 1500 Black Widow trucks from them in the last 5-6 years. Was in the market to purchase another one over the weekend. Conducting the normal process as usual conducting negotiation for my trade and I asking for my request. Lets just shorten this story. I requested what I always ask for a few accessories to the truck to close out the deal and was told in a unprofessional manner by finance manager Al Monk with an attitude to take it or leave it. I guess I was expecting he would reply sorry he couldn't honor my request something in that manner. I replied this is how you treat a repeat customer huh. I then maintained my composure and replied I guess I'll leave it on the table. Up until this day customer service was top tier. My salesman Mr. Lance Sease who is one of the reasons I continue to purchase vehicle at this dealership. I guess that's 70k plus I ll keep in my pocket this year. Shame on Al Monk's professionalism. You guy's didn't deserve this bad review due to this individual.

Bought a used car from this place less than six months ago. First off, they advertised it as having 40K miles less than the vehicle actually had. They said it was fully detailed and had one previous owner. NOT. Come to find out from their own CarFax, obviously more than one owner. Detailed? NOT. My hands were nearly black from the previous owners obvious smoking because Clorox and Lysol wipes were gray/black from smoke on the steering wheel, dash, door jams, gear shift...all interior fixtures. Further cleaning/detailing of our own evidenced the previous owners purchase receipts and cigarette box! But, I was told the owner didn't smoke?!? Also two door handles have already broken and been replaced at my expense and there are electrical issues with front headlights.Now, let's move to the major issues. In less than six months from the purchase date, the vehicle is back in the shop for the second major repair. The first major repair was a bad wheel bearing and hub assembly. Okay, we bought into the extended vehicle warranty so we figured, used car...sometimes they have issues. BUT, less than thirty days later, and the AWD won't disengage?? Seriously? They're reply/offer:"I understand your frustration, and will gladly trade you out of into a different vehicle and make no profit."I guess you won't make a profit because, hmmmm, the profit was already made when we purchased this falsely advertised broken down vehicle??Avoid this dealership like the plague.

I drove 2 hours to see a specific vehicle I saw online. I was under a time crunch that day and specifically went to look at the cars visual condition as far as scratches dents dings etc. Bern happened to be the sales consultant that came outside and initially got me the key. I was very straight forward and alerted him that I didn't have much time, but I was going to be purchasing a truck as soon as I found the right one. I asked that he check the best price with his manager and get back to me and I never heard anything back. Unfortunate for them, but I am glad I found out how they treat their customers so I could move on. I gave it one more shot by doing a contact inquiring and still never heard from anyone. Must be nice to be in a position where you really don't need someone's business!! I certainly hope that's what it is and just not how they treat everyone. I could never confidently recommend this dealership or salesman.

Can only diagnose one problem at a time and have to check with GM. Said problem would positively be fixed and wasn't. We had to contact GM and get their help. Still working on resolving a large charge that didn't fix anything. Just looking to rip you off. Don't deal with them. Go elsewhere!!!

This is our third GMC Sierra and we would highly recommend working with Joel Crews. Luckily, we were able to find out what dealership he went to since we bought two previous GMC trucks from him. We go out of our way to travel from CT to PA for the customer experience we receive from Joel. I was also very impressed with the Sales Manager as well as the facility. The waiting room offers television making the waiting a pleasure. The service is excellent and the mechanics are polite. For the first time, I had to wait a couple of hours. Usually my car is serviced in a half an hour. As a result of the longer wait, the mechanic shaved $30 off of my bill and informed me my next oil change would be free! The service is always with the customer in mind! If you are looking for a lovely car, I highly recommend the Buick Verano!

I went to Jack Giambalvo on a very rainy Saturday and ask the salesman Bern Little to please skip the haggle and let's get to the bottom line! He and Missy in financing did just that!! After my vehicle was appraised, we were able to settle on a price for the new/used vehicle. Because I live in Maryland I had to wait until Monday for the vehicle to be Maryland State inspected, which it was, and my wife, son and myself accepted delivery Monday evening, no issues!! I would recommend this dealership to anyone and am very glad I found the vehicle online at this location. JDH

Customer satisfaction means nothing to the service dept. The lack of ability to diagnose a problem and pass it off as "within manufacturer specifications" is the way they operate. I though I was buying a better engineered vehicle in GMC but they are not worth it. Steer clear of the brand and steer clear of this dealership.They fired the last service manager and I'm assuming the next will go down in flames as well.

A week or so ago, while driving near D.C.,I picked up a ten inch jack hammer chisel which punched clear thru my passenger side rear tire. AAA came and plugged the tire with quick service which got me back on my way to DC and able to return home again ... but something was wrong.(There was a chisel still inside my tire!) (even though until Jack Giambalvo extracted it, I did not know it was a chisel, only that something fairly big was in there) ... so I made an appointment to have the tire inspected for safety and to remove whatever was obviously still inside the tire. As luck would have it, the tire was found to be unsafe since cord was cut and the insides were chewed up by a chisel floundering around. It breaks my heart to have to replace a tire after less than 4,000 miles, but I have complete confidence now that I'm back on the road without a chisel flopping around. No one has any business driving at highway speeds with unsafe equipment.

have an older 2010 Yukon Denali, went in for an oil change only.. they found a sway bar broken and replaced it. They showed me the broken part, and bagged it for me. They washed my truck and even took off the huge yellow paint smudge I had on my rear fender from an accident with a parking lot pole.. That huge paint smudge was on my truck for 2 years.. all this for a little over $100.. Wow. My truck looks brand new and I would have paid $100 just to get rid of that paint smudge. Thank you Jack Giambolvo

My wife and I bought two new vehicles from Jack Giambalvo Buick/GMC: a 2015 Buick Enclave and a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500. The purchase was initiated due to the breakdown of our other brand vehicle which left me stranded on the side of the road. My wife and I were browsing for a GMC Terrain and decided to drop by Jack Giambalvo on a wet, rainy, cold day. But that didnt matter to Bern (Bernard Little), he was ready and willing to assist us no matter what. We walked into GMC not knowing anything about the vehicles, service, offers, warranties, and company, but walked out of there full of knowledge and understanding thanks to Bern. He was a great salesman and took really good care of us. We ultimately decided not go with GMC, for reasons outside of Berns control, it was simply a vehicle decision for us. But Bern deserves high marks.

My experiences with Giambalvo Service Dept. has been good. However, I have come to realize that Buicks parts and the labor cost to fix my Buick are too expensive. I have invested so much in my Buick over the last year or so it is insane. With this in mind, I am forced to keep the vehicle longer than I anticipated. When I purchase another vehicle it will not be a Buick because of the upkeep.

I pulled up to the showroom and before I was out of my Traverse, there was Lance shaking my hand and asking how he could help me. I am friends with John Giambalvo. I coached his son on the York Catholic High School Golf Team. I talked with him during golf season about trading my Traverse and Mustang Convertible. He said I should come and see him. John showed up at Dealership as Lance and I were deciding which Buick LaCrosse I wanted to buy. I told John after i had my car for one day that I felt like I made a new friend ( Lance)and that I loved my 2014 LaCrosse.

Came in for an oil change and was a little early. You took me early and I was out of there within 1/2 hour. Also asked about a nail I had gotten in my tire on a trip. Was advised that I did not have run flat tires, but I would have been ok for a short while anyway. I do have low profile tires. I could have ruined the rim if I had driven very far. I went to Jack Giambalvo today ONLY because we got an email advertising an End of Summer Selloff.It GUARANTEED trade-in values according to the year of the vehicle. Sounded good. I even called ahead to confirm that these trade in prices were accurate. After I got there I found out THEY WERE NOT. My husband and I were looking for a reasonably priced mini van to accommodate our growing family when we came across Jack Giambalvo's website. We are a one income household on a budget, and we wanted to stay within it without feeling pressured to spend more. Because we are new to the York area, we were doubtful of finding a reputable dealership, but once we started working with Lance we knew we had come to the right place. Lance did ALL of the footwork for us and we found him to be friendly, straight forward and not assertive at all! He gave us time to talk together as a couple and did not rush the process. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle, educated about the warranty, and answered all of our questions without the typical run around you find in dealerships.Lance did exactly what he said he would, gave us the price we were asking, and sent us on our way. The General sales manager Joel was great as well. Again, he gave us the numbers we were looking for, and didn't try to pull the usual tricks you expect from a sales person.The environment in the dealership was clean, friendly and inviting, and there seemed to be a mutual respect among the sales team which was nice to see. Last but not least, as a woman I also found it refreshing to deal with a sales team who treated me with respect, and did not dismiss my opinions or questions because I was " a girl."All in all it was a fantastic buying experience, and we look forward to working with the sales team at Jack Giambalvo's in the near future. Let me preface this by saying I purchased my first vehicle from Jack Giambalvo almost 4 years ago and had a great experience, notice I say had. I bought my vehicle from them in February. We were lucky enough to be able to pay cash at the time. I bought my 62 year old father in law this vehicle a beautiful (So we thought) 04 Ford truck sitting proudly in the front row. My father in law was in love at first site and didn't want to test drive it. The sales manager tells us the checklist is done and we felt no need to check it over. We got it home that same night and my husband noted a larger than silver dollar sized hole in the body by the truck bed, I called immediately giving them the benefit of the doubt, at which time they said they would take care of it. 3 weeks went by with the run around on how to get it fixed and who was going to fix it. I had to speak to the VP who told me sometimes that is part of buying a used car and that is "Common in older vehicles" and was shocked the sales manager would have offered a fix. Finally the fix was provided for the hole (which was poor because they paint was already chipping) we took it to their body shop who had it for 4 days (without offering a loaner vehicle) and when we picked it up the job was terrible. My husband took it to the dealership and showed it to the sales manager, who arranged the whole thing and by the way told the body shop not to fix it properly, said it was fine. I am shocked that I would have to fine tooth comb a vehicle and there is no disclosure. These people that run, sell and manage this dealership are sneaky, don't trust a word they say!!!!!!!

I work for a company the is a GM supplier, so I knew that I would get a great deal from any dealership that sells General Motors cars.I bought a car from Bill Gibson at Jack Giambalvo Buick/GMC 4 years ago and was so pleased with the experience, that I didn't even consider any other brands. I was determined to buy a car from Bill, so I limited my choices to the brands he sold, which were Buick and GMC.I had experienced a job loss since my last purchase, so my credit wasn't as clean as it was the last time. Bill and the finance team made the process extremely pleasant. I didn't think I would qualify for a new car loan, and was considering buying a beat up used car, but the Giambalvo team made everything work out for me.I plan to see them again, when I need to replace my next car.

I'm happy to say things have not changed, this dealer really cares...There service department is the best around and are always willing to help even if a repair is out of warranty they will do their best to make it right without charge. I worked for the first time with Daryl Martin as my sales rep and even with him being new there he was very helpfull and I fell got me the best deal for my trade as well as lowering the purchas price of my new GMC 1500 SLT. Our overall experience with Jack Giambalvo Buick GMC was good. We traded in a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt LS, for a 2008 Honda Civic EX. Our sales consultant was Donald Cranston. He was very helpful and professional. We brought along some friends who knew a little more about cars to check out the Civic for us, and Donald treated them with the same respect as if they were buyers as well. The entire process was made easy to understand, and all of the employess we dealt with were friendly. It is for those reasons that we have given ratings of 5 for all but the price. We were able to negotiate an extra $500 for our trade-in, which was nice. The price was very competitive for everything we'd seen in the York, PA area. We only gave a rating of 4 for price, because there were a few comparable Civics within 50-75 miles listed a little bit cheaper according to autotrader.com from other dealerships. For the local market though, Jack Giambalvo was very competitive. We would recommend this dealer, and specifically Donald Cranston.

Jack Giambalvo is a local dealer with whom I have now experienced purchase and maintenance of three vehicles. A mazda 626 ( 180000 plus miles) when it finally died ) and a Pontiac Grand Prix (124000 miles which I continue to drive and in spite of relatively high miles---still looks good and runs " great ". This experience spans a period of thirty ( 30 ) years and is a tribute to the excellent and professional maintenance and service approach of Jack Giambalvo.I have most recently added to my "( fleet ) a new Lucerne and fully expect the same result(s).On the sales side ---excellent experience.
