Purchased a range Rover certified. Promised everything under the sun prior to sale. Month or so after purchased a light shuddering in the wheel at 60 wouldn't go away. Which was present during test drive. They said they would fix it. They have danced around this problem for a week now. Car has spent so much time back at the shop. So sorry I bought from them.

I went in looking for information and to test drive a used LR2. After being greeted at the door, I was assigned to a new sales person, Stephanie Mahr who was very friendly, professional and great to work with. I did not feel pressured at all and she was very informative. My experience at Land Rover Peabody was a positive one.

Who ever is writing positive reviews has hit to work for this company! I have been dealing with them for just over 2 years and from the purchase to the service it has just been a complete joke! Incompetence everywhere. Over promise. Under deliver. The service department literally has the most unprofessional / worst people I have ever met in this type of industry. As much as I love my car, I can't wait to get rid of my range rover so I don't have to deal with them ever again!

I was in the market for a luxury SUV. Walked into Land Rover Peabody and was promptly greeted by David Warnock. David was very friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicles I was interested in. I had originally come in to look at the LR4 but unfortunately the ones they had on the lot were already sold. Since I was there I decided to take a look at the Evoque. This is a smaller SUV than I am used to. I have a toddler who is still facing towards the rear in her car seat. David suggested that I go ahead and install the car seat in the Evoque to see how it fit. It was tight but manageable. Kudos to David for being open to this as this was a make or break part of the deal. Went for a test drive with kid in tow and was pleasantly surprised with the roominess and sporty handling. Unlike many car salesmen I've come across over the years David was polite, knew his product, and wasn't pushy. I'm a pretty tech savvy guy and David was able to answer all of my questions about the technological features of the Evoque. We decided to talk numbers and I was given a fair price for the trade in and on the vehicle. The dealership had a nice play area for my toddler so she could keep busy while we were talking numbers. There was very little "well my manager says" type of negotiating with the associated drama. On the day that I picked up the vehicle it was detailed and ready to go at the time I had specified. David went over the more in-depth features of the vehicle and I was on my way. Overall I would say that this was the best buying experience I have had at any dealership. I would definitely recommend Land Rover Peabody to others and I would definitely tell them to go see David. Thanks David!!!

This is my second Land Rover I purchased from Land Rover Peabody & I would recommend this dealership to anyone interested in a Land Rover. David was very patient, knowledgeable and helpful and worked with me to find the "right" mix of packages and features at a great value. We test drove several cars and looked at the different ways of ordering one. I ended up purchasing a very low mileage loaner LR 4 that David showed me that had all options I wanted and was available for immediate sale.Steve in finance worked the numbers and got me a great rate on my loan in a very short time.From my prior experience with my old LR3(7 years of fun)- Chris, Steve, Ken and the rest of the guys in service - kept my car running smoothly and painlessly.When it came time to buy another car, I knew I wanted another Land Rover. And based on my past experience, the best place to buy and serice a Rover - is Land Rover Peabody!

David was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Being in sales I am easily turned off by sales people that are not genuine and focus on the wrong thing - trying to "close" the customer. David did not do this, instead he was quite easy going and answered any questions I had and offered useful information that aided in my decision making. Steve in Finance was equally professional and through understanding my driving habits and style offered me relevant coverage that I found real value in. This is my first experience with Land Rover and Land Rover Peabody and I expect it won't be my last. I selected "good" on the price because I don't think you really want to see "Great" :) I was happy with the trade-in value and feel I was dealt with honestly - so if that's the measure - "Great"!Greg Cyr

I purchased a new Range Rover Sport in December of 2012, and was incredibly happy with my overall sales experience. I wanted a combination of features and color not generally available, so I worked with my sales rep David to configure and order the vehicle. It arrived as promised, earlier than anticipated and in perfect condition. The overall sales experience was very positive, and I would definitely recommend Land Rover Peabody to anyone looking to purchase a new LR. The dealership was clean, the test drives very informative, and the sales process painless. I was also happy to find that David responded quickly to any emails I sent him regarding my purchase, even when it was after hours and the dealership was closed.

This is the second Land Rover vehicle we purchased. We purchased our first Land Rover from Rusty Johnsen and loved him! We were disappointed to find out that Rusty no longer worked for Land Rover Peabody. David Wanock was wonderful! He had so much knowledge of the vehicles and the patience to let us take our time making our final decision. He was always available to answer any questions and treated us like royalty. We really love our vehicle as much as our salesperson.

The sales process went really well until there was a misunderstanding. Mentioned not to forget that I wanted a remote starter, when it was not included in the deal. The expereince went down hill. It has now been a week since the deal ended and they still need to give back a good portion of the deposite. It changed my mind of a land rover and I went an bought a Audi Q5.

Sorry to say that I will most likely not be renewing into another lease at LandRover Peabody and will not be purchasing this vehicle. The service that i have experienced on this vehicle has pushed me to do so. From the beginning of driving the car off the lot, I encountered problems with this vehicle that seemed to not get resolved; mostly alignment. Their runner dropped off the car to me previously with the serveral things wrong with it and I got it back yesterday and the alignment is still not correct. If I hold the steering wheel straight and drive at a modest speed, the car still has a pull to the right. I was told three people test drove the car and it is now fine. Wrong answer. This is the last of several disappointing services i will encounter. It's a shame that RangeRover makes such good vehicles only to have incomptent service to ruin the experience. I will either go back to Audi or try another RR dealer.

I have nothing but great things to say about Evan and my experience at RR Peabody. I saw what I wanted online and made a visit and met with Evan. He was vert laid back and we took a test drive and I fell in love with the RR Sport. We talked some numbers and wasn't pressured at all. The whole experience was very easy and painless. I was in the market for a car but never liked driving SUV's. I always thought theRanger Rover was the nicest looking SUV on the road. I drove by the dealership anddecided to go in. The first thing I told Rusty was I never liked SUV's and was looking at them only for my son's sake. Rusty told me to just give it a test drive. That was it!! I absolutely love the car and the dealership experience. Rusty was very non-threatening. I felt totally comfortable with him and his suggestions. I've since gone in to see him while driving by just to ask small questions about the car, i've emailed him and called him. He has always responded in a timely manner. I would feel very comfortable sending anyone I know to see him about a car.

I do not even know where to start. I had a problem with my door handle sticking in cold weather. I made an appointment to get it fixed and also a oil change. It went all down hill after that. I first off I had no idea where to park it is a hole in the wall dealership from 1970 with no signs. I have not been at this dealer before and walked into the showroom floor (because I saw no sign for service) and asked at the front desk where service was. I was given the biggest stink face I have seen by the receptionist and then with an attitude told that it was over there. Ok, not a good start. Then I meet with a service guy who helps me who was wearing worn cloths like he just finished up on a construction site with a old beat up shirt and boots with paint on them. He immediately seemed pissed off that I came in and he had to talk to me. He did not even know who I was and gave me such additude. So I give him my information and restated my issue and they said right off the bat the car is no longer under warranty and you are going to have to pay for the oil service and if I really wanted to pay for it. I knew it was out of service. Why wouldn't I know. He made me feel that I made a bad decision bringing my car in. Then I tell him about the door issue and he stated again the car is not in warranty and we will have to charge you $250 to look at it. I then told him that this issue was brought up under warranty and was never fixed appropriately. He told me again it is no longer under warranty and I will have to pay $250 just to look at it. He said you will have to contact Range Rover. I said aren't you Land Rover. I can not help you you have to contact them. I asked how so he wrote down a phone number and gave it to me. I told him why can't you contact them while you are working on the car? He told me it is my problem not there problem. I told him I own a Lexus and never get these issues. When I had a problem with one of my Lexus's they contacted the corporate office for me. I bought an $80k car and get service and treatment like this? Just awful. His answer we are not Lexus. I said fine and then proceeded with the paperwork. As I told them on the phone I needed a loaner car and on the phone they told me no problem. He told me he can do that so he hands me some rental paperwork (for some crappy rental car) and I had to fill the gas etc... I told him again I do not get this treatment from Lexus. His response was again we are not Lexus. I spent $80k for a car to get a piece of junk rental that I have to make sure I fill the tank up or else I will be charged. I then told him I get to pick what type of Lexus I want as a loaner and do not have to fill the tank. At this point realized this is not a place I feel comfortable or trust so I take the keys and leave.I then called another dealership in the metrowest area and it was like night and day. It was a nice clean facility. Everyone was nice and cared about the appearance. I never told the dealership that I had this bad experience and they treated me like I bought a $80k car. I got a bottle of water, a Land Rover (not rental) loaner, and they contacted Range Rover for me. Now that is the service I expected. They kept the car for a day (and did not charge me $250) to determine the issue. They found the issue and it was a $20 pulley/wire in the handle that kept freezing in the cold. I almost paid $250 with land Rover Peabody for them to just check it out. Good thing I went to a reputable dealership. For the sake of Land Rover Peabody I hope you read this and work on your customer service issues.My suggestion: Look on-line first. I am not the only one who has had issues with them. Check out other Land Rover dealerships before you try this one. I have also heard the dealerhsip south of Boston is also a really nice dealership.

I had a great experience from start to finish at Land Rover Peabody which resulted in the purchase of an LR4. Will's relaxed and informative style was incredibly welcome after having dealt with the typically more aggressive sales approach from other dealerships. Will took customer service to the next level when, after bringing in my car a few days after purchase to ask about some spotting that I thought may be due to the exterior treatment I opted for, Will personally handwashed and dried my car for me. I would recommend Land Rover Peabody, and Will, to anyone in the market for a new Rover.

This was a very pleasurable, non-pressure purchase. Evan Taylor was professional and a man of knowledge and integrity. The LR2 was my first used car purchase, and I had many questions that were quickly responded to. I was on a tight time-line, and this car deal was made and delivered the same day, within 4 total hours. Car was even detailed to perfection while I waited on the paperwork. Great test drive also where my family and I were put through the many features of the Rover, including our all-terrain experience!

After having had a terrible purchasing experience from Sudbury Land Rover of a Range Rover HSE just a few years back, we were adamant about not purchasing our next Rover from this particular dealership. Although Peabodys Range Rover dealership was a bit of a commute for us, the overall purchasing experience of our new Range Rover HSE from them was well worth the trip. First off, we have to say that Rusty Johnsen was the best sales professional we have ever dealt with in all our years of buying vehicles. He exhibited the utmost in professionalism, kindness, integrity, responsiveness and deep knowledge about the Rover vehicles. Never once did we feel uncomfortable or feel as if he was trying to pull the wool over our eyes as we had experienced in Sudbury sales. (I must mention, despite issues with Sudburys sales department, Sudburys service department is excellent) Rusty was trustworthy from start to finish and gave us a fair price for our new HSE and trade-in. Because we are a busy family, Rusty even drove our new vehicle out to Weston, took care of all the paper work, plate transfer, educated us on the new vehicle features right in our driveway and then took our old Range Rover back to their dealership for the trade.When it comes time to trade in my husbands car and should he choose to buy a Rover, Rusty Johnsen will be the person we will call. Thank you so much Rusty for restoring our faith in Rover.

I had to drive over an hour to the dealership--looking for great customer service--and I was not disappointed. Rusty was a pleasure to work with. He was honest, helpful and more than accommodating. Our experience with Land Rover Peabody and our sales guide Will Connors was in one word; phenomenal! We knew from the first few minutes of meeting Will that we would be purchasing an LR4 at this dealership. From the very get go, Will's calm demeanor put us both at ease and his knowledge of the vehicles was outstanding. I've purchased many vehicles over the years and I am still amazed at the entire "experience" at LR Peabody. There are always some areas of buying a car that can be painful (i.e.- negotiations etc.) but I can honestly say that every single part of the process from the inital test drive with Will through negotiations to the final vehicle inspection was nothing short of pleasureable. I feel that the dealership was very fair in meeting as many realistic expectations that we set forth throughout this car buying process. As a business owner myself, I really can't say enough about the complete "experience" from start to finish. My wife & I are excited to be part of the Land Rover Peabody family and I would recommend this dealership and most notably Will Connors to anyone interested in receiving outstanding service and learning about the Land Rover brand.

Let me tell you.........buying a car at this dealership was by far a pleasurable experience. I worked with sales rep Rusty Johnsen and this guy never made me feel rushed or pressured!! Actually, he recommended that I take my time and drive the different models to see what I like. I was deciding between a Range Rover HSE or Range Rover sport and after driving them he asked for me to take another test drive just to really get a feel between these two models. Well, when I returned the second time I knew which one was for me. Then Rusty explained to me all the features of this automobile and the warranty. I pointed out a couple of small things and Rusty stated without any hesitation that they would be corrected, well I bought the Range Rover Sport and then I was off to sit with there finance department and they really worked with me to get my best rate and protection coverage for this automobile. This guy figured out numbers that really put this deal together!! Well really if your in the market for a Land Rover Product these are the guys you want deal with!! I have bought 22 cars over the years and this dealership really was by far the most professional and fully educated on the products they sell! Again.....Land Rover of Peabody......Thank You for working with me..............and my new Range Rover Sport!!

This was the first Land Rover vehicle my wife and I every purchased and only our second car purchase overall. Although we were nervous about the purchase,we thought the buying process with Matt Raucci was an outstanding experience and solidified our confidence in our choice of car purchase. Rusty Johnsen was incredibly helpful during the entire process, as well. He took us through the entire car until we were comfortable with how everything worked. He then called us two days later to make sure we did not have any questions or concern. When we brought the car back a week later to have a navigation system installed (we wanted to wait before making this decision), Rusty made sure that the car was brought back to us without us having to go pick it up. Although somewhat distant from Cambridge where Lisa and I live, we feel that RoverPeabody is worth the drive.AP in Cambridge.

Buying our 3rd Range Rover from Rusty Johnsen was a quite wonderful experience. He personally come to our house to shuttle our old Range Rover for a used car valuation, he was a gentleman every step of the way, and her personally delivered our new Range Rover. The price was indisputably fair, the process was elegant, and we are very happy. This is the kind of service that matches our life style. Our old dealer was in Sudbury and they treated us with distain, gouged us on price, and couldn't care if we lived, died, or bought again. Never again will I use them. My husband and I looked into a Land Rover for a corporate purchase, and went to Land Rover in Peabody to look for a vehicle. We were very appreciative of Tim Harris' friendly and no-pressure approach and technical knowledge. Sherman Smith worked on arranging all aspects of finance, and registration and made the whole process very smooth. Our vehicle was delivered on time, and was ready for pick-up on the agreed day. We received excellent guidance on the day of pick-up regarding all the vehicle features, and even treated to a spin on the off road course, and were very impressed with Tim's driving skills! Overall, we found the staff at Peabody Land Rover friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and we would recommend them to others for that reason and are deserving of a good rating. We love our new LR4, and couldn't be more pleased with the service and help we received.

I have family in Massachusetts but actually live in Connecticut. When I was searching for my new car, I called every Land Rover dealer within 50 miles of where I live and was unable to find what I was looking for in my price range. My family owns a Land Rover purchased from Rusty Johnsen and referred me to Land Rover Peabody... he not only found me the car that I wanted at the price I wanted to pay, but he went above and beyond in every sense of the term. He was an amazing person to work with (not a typical sales person at all), and he has followed up with me over the past 18 months after my purchase! Range Rover was not my number 1 option, but after talking to Rusty and getting a better understanding of the car and a good deal, I gladly bought a new one. Sherman worked out a very good financing deal for me too. Rusty was knowledgable and available, but not pushy. I reommend this dealership and make sure to ask for Rusty when you go.

Will Connors and the staff at Land Rover Peabody were tremendous. I went in knowing very little about the car and Will patiently answered all my questions during a 7 day period. He was extremely patient, enthusiastic and diligent. He searched the entire country to locate the exact model with the specs I was looking for. He was also extremely responsive to both calls and emails... answering all questions in a timely manner. He called or emailed me when I requested and did not inundate me with sales calls. I visited several dealerships but found Will to be the most helpful salesman I encountered.Will and the staff at Land Rover Peabody were very courteous. They did not force the sale in any way. Land Rover Peabody also beat all the others in terms of price. I would recommend Will and Land Rover Peabody to anyone.

This was my first experience purchasing a Range Rover, and it couldn't have been easier and less time consuming. I'd done enough research in advance to know the type of vehicle I was seeking, and was very pleased with the demeanor and professionalism of the staff. I worked with both Sherman Smith and Tim Harris. The negotiation was painless and didn't leave me with the negative vibe so often associated with purchasing a vehicle. They were also very patient in answering my barrage of questions. I'd done enough comparison shopping in advance to know they were super competive when it came to pricing, and the customer service experienced since has been superb. I intend upon working with this dealership again for my next vehicle.

A short time back, I was traveling with my family on a weekend for a two-week vacation when a belt on our Discovery's engine broke. Fortunately, we were able to call Rusty (on his day off) and have our car towed down from New Hampshire. Despite not originally purchasing our auto from the Peabody dealership, Rusty made arrangements for us to take a new LR3 as a loaner for our entire vacation -- without cost to us, even though the repair could be done immediately the following Monday and we were planning to be away for a much greater length of time. The whole turnaround took us about 1.5 hours (including waiting for the tow truck and tow itself), and we were back on our 8-hour road trip to our destination. With an infant, the convenience was much appreciated. When it came time to upgrade from the Discovery, we immediately called Rusty, and he set up with a right-priced Range Rover Sport Supercharged. Since our purchase, we have been quite pleased with our car. Although these cars can sometimes be expensive to maintain, Rusty continues to amaze us with his ability to keep our costs down -- saving us real money on everything from tow-kit installations to a replacement 20-inch rim. When it comes time for another Land Rover, there is no question about who will call up.

From the first visit until after I purchased my Range Rover HSE ( does anyone know what 'HSE' stands for?...) Rusty was friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient with me. On the day I bought the car we spent a fair amount of time reviewing the pros and cons of 20 inch rims and tires, and ended up making a last minute model change--much to my piece of mind. Because of Landrover Peabody, I will NEVER buy another Landrover again and would tell anyone I know not to buy one! (especially from Peabody) The service was terrible, Steve (the SERVICE mangaer) - I don't think he knows what service means - was rude, short and abrasive and acted like he was doing me a favor by speaking with me. Certainly not the service you would expect when you buy a $70,000 vehicle. ...That was really my first mistake. For the (almost)4 years I've owned it, my car has been in the shop more than anyone I know. 3 people I know wanted to buy the same car I have and have bought something else after watching what I have gone through. In this economy, most business can't afford to loose those sales. Apparently they just don't care. They should be ashamed of themselves and the people they have hired to run their business. Totally disgraceful.

I live in Westborough, MA...have owned 3 Mercedes S500's in a row (upgraded every 2 years), then tried the Range Rover Sport, loved it, and bought it (acquired from Rusty Johnsen-Land Rover Peabody). Given that my offices are Global-I have very little time to spare, Rusty was so accommodating-he actually brought vehicles to my house to evaluate. In truth, I have never been to his dealership. He was most accomodating, extremely pleasant to work with, and (most importantly) was good to his word. The car was fixed properly and I was apprised of what was going on every step of the way. I've dealt with a lot of dealerships (Lexus, Caddi, BMW, Lincoln, Infiniti, MB) in my day but dealing with Range Rover Peabody was by far the easiest one to deal with. I dealt with Rusty, who was great, I didn't feel pressured and he was very knowledgeable of his product. I pretty much got everything I asked for and more and my 08 Pre Certified Range Rover Sport was ready to pick up in days. I searched the net for good deals on an 08 RRS and Peabody Range Rover by far had everyone beat. I had my heart set on a 09 Caddi CTS AWD and I must have gone to every Caddi dealership in New England for maybe a good 3 months and believe me it wasn't fun back and fourth and all I got was the run around with salesmen that just wanted me to take anything and promising me the world until I got there and they had me waste my time. I LOVED the RRS but didn't think I could get one for the price I was willing to pay but I saw one on line that I liked called Rusty and as soon as I walked into Range Rover for the first time I walked out with the Sport.To be honest most times I go in to buy I car I know more than the dealer, I do far to much research for my own good but for once I actually met my match with Rusty. I could not stump the guy he answered every question I had and I even checked a few on a range rover forum and he was right on the money. I also had a few questions months after I bought my Pre Certified Sport and emailed Rusty and he got right back to me... Great Customer Service, this might be my first Range Rover but something tells me this won't be my last (if I can afford it LOL) keep up the great work Range Rover of Peabody, I just wish there where more salesmen like Rusty in the Car World.... Bring on the Snow because I'm ready to concur it in my Buckingham Blue 08 Range Rover Sport :)

i have purchased many range rovers since 1996 from rusty johnsen.even though i live more than a half hour from peabody,i purchase all my vehicles from them even though there is a dealer 10 minutes from where i live.the reason is simple: Rusty is the consumate professional who takes care of his clients from the beginning of the sales process and way after that.i have referred many friends over to rusty and each one of them agrees that they were all treated very well.their service department also gives their customers the personal touch that is now missing from many of the larger more impersonal dealerships.land rover peabody is one of the few dealerships left where purchasing a car is still a pleasure.

The RR Sport SC is the second vehicle that I purchased from the dealership but the main reason for my rating was the professionlism of Rusty Johnsen during the whole process. He handled the first purchase of the RR Sport and I just felt he cared more about what you wanted opposed to just moving a car. He is always available for questions during a service visit and really has a caring personality that I have not experienced in the car business. Obviously, I enjoy driving the car but the relationship of the people you work with is equally important to me. Rusty was very patient and thorough in explaining the features of the car and his follow up after the car left the lot were conviction in my opinion of his skills. I have already recommended one of my clients to him and will continue to steer people his way because of the aforemetioned comments. As a Yankee fan from New York City, I certainly approached a Peabody-based car salesman with a healthy dose of cynicism : ) But, I too, have to jump on the bandwagon and give both Landrover Peabody and Rusty Johnsen top ratings.Primarily, there are no shortage of Landrover dealers in the New York area; it should speak louder than my ratings that I transacted 300 miles out of state. The relationship was ideal from the first phone call and visit, and when the truck was ready, Rusty, indeed, agreed to personally deliver the car to NY for me during a busy time. As but another testament to this quality guy and dealer, I can tell you, in a fit of panic with two little kids in the car on Christmas eve, my car simply died and wouldnt start. There were more lights on my dashboard than on my Christmas tree. I immediately called Range Rover Roadside assistance but the Christmas Eve skeleton crew couldnt help me, short of claiming a "massive electrical failure" and sending a flatbed truck. Desperate, I called Rustys cell phone for his opinion. He took my call on CHRISTMAS EVE and suggested my signs and symptoms sounded more like a simple battery and NOT a complete electrical failure like Roadside assistance had implied. He was right, I got a jump and my family was only 20 minutes late for (a much needed) cocktail hour! (and within the acceptable margin of error considering car failure) Of course, it also made for a great story in the end.Aside from the battery (which was normal wear and tear) the truck has been great with nothing but routine maintence. Rusty and I remain in touch, and I am the first to make a qualified recommendation to a friend. Integriy is NOT an issue here and it goes without saying that once I am convinced my parking garage attendants in NYC will stop decorating my car with scatch, bangs and "dings," I plan on re-uping with the larger RR from Rusty and Peabody despite the distance. DISCLAIMER: I am not sure my garage attendants will EVER stop decorating my car with scratches, bangs and "dings"Needless to say, highest recommendations - Thanks Rusty and team.
