Update at the end, even more impressed. I'm so impressed by the service department. They got my car in quickly, were extremely communicative, professional, and went above and beyond. They provide a video showing inspection points, calling out any potential concerns without asking you to schedule the work, just informing you and showing thoroughly the condition of the car. They also put air in one of my tires that was low, vacuumed (even moved stuff to be able to vacuum better), washed my car, topped off fluids, and offered me a ride when dropping off and to pick up, as well as offered to leave my keys with the front desk to give me more time to pick up my car. So pleased! Update: short and sweet version, I wrongly claimed they caused an issue. After my car was lifted, it became obvious it happened while I was driving. And while I absolutely deserved to be scolded, the manager Becky was extremely kind the entire time and still resolved the issue which was clearly, clearly not their problem to fix. These are genuinely fantastic people that care and will go the extra mile. I'm blown away at how amazing their service department is. I so appreciate all of them. From the moment I entered to the moment I left I was treated with respect and care.

Hi Honda Staff at 900 S State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah My preferred go to customer service representative is Joe Baker. Joe is professional and never pushy he just has a total understanding of me and my vehicle. I own a 2004 Honda element that’s now pushing 369,000 miles. I’ve had my Honda straight off the showroom floor, so one owner. I’ve been kind my Honda I’ve treated her well and Honda has taken care of her pretty much the majority of the time. Aside from a few oil changes and such on the road while traveling. Honda has taken care of her. I would love to be able to give kudos also to the technician behind the scenes that I’ve never met. Joe gives my car to this person pretty much all the time as far as I know. Joe mentioned that this technician knows how to work with my little old girl. I trust Honda at 900 S. Salt Lake City location with the highest of recommendations. I have to do a big ticket item on my girl now her catalytic converter has to be replaced, along with a muffler tip, since they’ll have it might as well put on a non-rust stainless steel muffler tip. Joe mentioned that he would look out for one for me. Joe had mentioned since my The girl was so old that maybe I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on the repair and maybe did I want to go to a shop where it could be a little cheaper, I told Joe that the shops aren’t that much cheaper and the biggest thing to me is the trust factor! Honda does not have any sleazy people that work for them either. There’s not any reason to worry about what is being done to your vehicle. I really appreciate that very much! I’m an older single woman I try to do my research on the vehicle and what needs to be done and how it has to be done. If there’s something to be worked on I wanna know how it’s done even if I’m not doing the work. Thank you very much Honda for taking good care of me. Thank you very much Joe for looking out for me and my old girl! One day I’ll have to replace her and I hope I can go with another Honda. Thank you Randi Porter

Another great experience! I set up an appointment and was able to drop my car off early. I knew that there was some maintenance that was needed, but I thought I would have to set up another appointment for it. This appointment was for an oil change. Once the scheduled service was done, I received a text and link to the recommended maintenance. The text feature allowed me to check that my car would be done in time for another appointment before selecting the maintenance needed. The link was very easy to use and provided the associated cost for each item. I love this system and the customer service was great!

Mandy, Corbin, and Kevin were all really great to work with. We were pretty meticulous about going through and choosing the right vehicle for us and asked a ton of questions. They were very helpful and patient with us while we worked through the details. They also gave us an excellent value on our trade in. They were a no pressure, very relaxed vibe, and were happy to help us decide what was best for us versus other dealers I have been to that can be very pushy about trying to make a sale. I felt like Dave understood where I was coming from and didn't try to pressure me into something I didn't want or try to hurry me. Once again, Mike Coleman made my experience of buying a new car super simple. He took the time to teach me all the bells and whistles of my new Honda Odyssey. This is the third car I've bought from Ken Garff Honda Downtown. Each time I have used Mike Coleman. He sure is great! He doesn't pressure you into buying a car that you don't want. Got the price i liked over the phone b4 i even set foot on the lot then they went and traded with another dealer to get me my exact car I wanted.. it was the end of the year and what i was looking for was very hard to find. When I didn't find the car I wanted,, he was gracious and kind and congratulated me on my purchase. Everyone that worked there were the best I've ever come across - and I've been to a lot of dealerships since I'm in my 70's. No high pressure sales tactics. I just finished with Mike Coleman. This will probably be the first time I've ever left the car dealership in a really good mood. He lived up to everything that he promised on the phone, prior to my 2 Hour Dr., and it was totally worth the drive. Will probably come back again when it's time to buy vehicle. The salesperson was patient yet efficient in explaining all the features and actually showed us several cars for different interior/exterior color combinations. He understood our needs and gave us an excellent deal on the price matching our requirements. Finance person educated us on several options for coverage without pressurizing us to purchase them. Very disappointed with the service I received here. Took my '09 Honda CRV in to get the airbag inflator fixed, per a recall letter I was sent. The recall covered a high number of cars and so my repairs took 2 months. During the whole time my car was at the dealership, it was left to sit without being turned on and so when I came to pick it up, the battery was dead (had been in use for 2.8 yrs) and the Service Manager told me that it would fall to American Honda to help me if I wished for a reimbursement on the cost of a new battery. Talked with Honda and it turns out the dealership was responsible, as they had the car and were servicing it. Very unhelpful and will not return.

I bought my 2015 Honda CRV Touring from this dealership. The love affair started at first visit. The buying process was easy, the shortest ever in my life, and I walked out still loving my salesman. He was actually responsible for steering me towards the vehicle I wanted rather than the vehicle I thought I wanted and I will be eternally grateful for his insight and actually listening to what I had to say. He was professional and never once made me feel as though I was being pressured. I actually went to another Honda dealership and was so unimpressed with their high pressure that I ended up buying a different make. Sure glad I found the downtown people. Then, as with all automobile purchases you have to come back for service. I have never waited longer than the time estimated by my servicing agent. They were prompt and courteous. I had actually clicked on all the optional items to be serviced on my car and my service agent told me those things were unnecessary and we could do them at another servicing milestone. That has never happened to me! Integrity and professionalism are aboveboard.

They provide efficient and appropriate repairs when needed and treat me like I can understand what is going on with my car. Experience over the last 6 years has taught me I can trust their work and if there are any problems, they take care of them graciously and promptly. Even though I have worked with many different service representatives, I am always treated like I am going to a neighborhood garage where they know me. Ken Garff Downtown Honda is the only dealership I have trusted to service my vehicle in almost a half century of driving. They provide excellent service to keep my Element running well and safely, and treat me as though I can understand a what is going on with my car. They are always quick with repairs and keep me apprised of what is going on and anything unexpected they may find. They have a van service I have only used a couple of times which was also an efficient and pleasant experience. Their service reps are uniformly friendly and welcoming. New to the Salt Lake City area and needed to have a routine oil change done. Selected Ken Garff Downtown based on collective positive reviews on-line; very glad I did. Customer service provided by the service advisors was excellent. Services were provided in a timely manner, especially when given the volume of business being done on a Saturday morning. The prepaid set of three oil changes with tire rotations they offer is a great deal, and the wider amenities they provide customers is above and beyond any I've encountered across the country. As far as the service department goes, Ken Garff is a fantastic option. Highly recommended.

Ken Garff Honda Downtown has the best service department ever and I refuse to go anywhere else. If you want your Honda to run great for as long as possible, you want an official Honda job with official Honda parts. I have a 2007 Accord E-XL and my car runs like it is brand new. I have taken it to Ken Garff Honda for every repair since I bought it in 2009. I have never had an issue with any repair and the people are amazing. The facilities are extremely comfortable also.

We just showed up to the dealership Saturday afternoon to test drive some cars. Eddie and Heather were very helpful and got to know what was important to us in the car purchase. He explained all the safety features and we took a couple of models out for a test drive. Our daughter really enjoyed driving a 2016 Fit. After being shown the purchase numbers, he understood when we left to discuss whether to purchase or not. This is definitely a "no-pressure" environment. they gladly gave all the numbers on the deal so their was nothing to hide. After deciding to purchase, the process when so smoothly. Eddie was very accommodating. He made sure the vehicle was clean and gassed up. He even synced the phone on the car. He also went over all the other features. Honda sells themselves due to the quality of the vehicle. Also when purchasing at Ken Garff, you receive the Garffcare package for any vehicle owned. Another perk when purchasing at Ken Garff. Overall experience was very pleasant and had no issues with Eddie or Heather. Great people to work with. I would highly recommend them and will definitely return to Ken Garff Honda when purchasing our next vehicle within the year.

Yes, even though a great product sells itself, this principle has nothing to do with where you might want to buy that product. I am fortunate to have once again purchased on this day (May 27, 2016) a new 2016 Honda Accord. I use the word fortunate because this is the ninth new Honda I have purchased from this same dealership (Ken Garff Honda Downtown). All of my purchases have been Honda Accords except one, which was a Honda CRV. Needless to say, I love Hondas. But a big reason for my loyalty to this particular dealership stems from the excellent sales representatives as well as the professional and service oriented people who work here and serve this community. The saleswomen who I worked with on purchasing this latest Accord was Ms. Toni Miller. I fear any comment that I may write about her professional, friendly, knowledgeable, in-your-corner demeanor will fall short of the commentary justice she deserves. Therefore, may I simply say I could not have been happier with the way she treated me and worked for me in the purchase of this automobile. The service doesn't end when you are handed that new set of car keys. I haven't the time or space to say how satisfied I have been across many years with the relationship I have had with Ken Garff Honda in the way they have helped me to take care of my car. Took my Honda in to get a recall repair. I dropped it off at 10:00 A.M. & they said it would be done by noon & that they would call me. No call by 2:00 P.M. So I called they said, of coarse, they were super busy & slammed so it would be done by 4:00 P.M. I arrived at 4:10. The paperwork still wasn't ready so they said they would email it. Fine. Went out to my car to find the driver side door handle was missing. There WAS a crack in it. It had been cracked for 3 years & unless you opened it super aggressively like an overhyped steroidal goon, it's been fine. I go back in to ask for my handle & everyone acts like they don't know anything about it. When you take a car in for repair you don't expect it to have more damage than when you brought it in. They said since it was half broke they'd cover half of $ 260..00! It was more like a 16th broke. I can understand someone breaking it actually but to not be upfront & honest & just say, "hey, your door handle was damaged & one of our 18 year old spazz techs broke it, sorry". Nope. They play dumb & leave the surprise for me. Super unprofessional. Lost my business, for sure & I'll tell everyone I know with a Honda about it. I know lots of ppl with Hondas. Just be upfront, honest, & straightforward.

We bought a 2015 CRV from Eddie back in September. We had a great experience with Eddie and Ken Garff then. Three months later a woman hit me going 35 MPH while I was stopped a red light. Talked to Eddie to let him know we would be back for a replacement once the damaged car was repaired. He had the exact same model ready and waiting when we came in. We were given a fair trade in for the damaged and repaired car and happily left with a new, up damaged car. Thanks Eddie!!

I am not in the frequent car buying business. I had a car that I drove forever. So, shopping for a car is something I'm not used to. My husband thought we should get a Honda, and I fell totally in love with a 2013 Honda Accord. Beautiful car. Bryan Tolman was our salesman. He was easy-going and not pushy, which is a MUST for me. As soon as I feel any pressure, I leave- which is what I did at several other dealerships that day. Bryan worked with finance to make sure that we got the best interest rate on our loan and was very thorough with our paperwork and explaining the car and its features to me. He knew what he was talking about. We had a situation with the vehicle's Bluetooth feature, which we didn't realize until the next day. It was late at the dealership when we bought the car, and he told us to bring it by the next day to figure it out. It happened to be something with the car itself. I thought I was stuck, and had just purchased a car that was broken and "as is" and I was devastated. I'm not sure who worked behind the scenes, but the Blue tooth function was fixed at no cost to me and I am a happy customer. I was treated so great by the service department, my salesman, and everyone that I came into contact with. When I picked up my vehicle, they even had a tech help me pair my phone and make sure everything worked. I will ABSOLUTELY refer my friends and family to this dealership. I LOVE my car!

Kris, Doug, Rusty, Marcus, Pete, and Stan have become my new best friends. However, you will not go wrong if you meet with Mr. Mike Coleman at Ken Garff. I am a former manager myself, and definitely value good customer service. I had an issue with a warranty transfer, and had been to several places to try to get it transferred....he went the extra step and even went to the warranty company to drop the paperwork off to make sure that it was complete. After reading stellar reviews about the 2015 Civic online, I stopped in drive one. Eddie worked with me the entire time, and having decided I loved the Civic, worked me to lease one. Other dealerships wrote me and business off as a waste of time. Not so at Ken Garff - I was treated with the utmost respect and kindness. Eddie is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely one of the friendliest people I've ever met. Discussions with Chris for my lease were honest and frank but never once intimidating. Once a deal was agreed upon, Trevor in financing was also friendly and patient but at the same time incredibly efficient, and again, very knowledgeable also. I can not even express how happy I am with the service I received at ken garff Honda the staff is so friendly. I never once felt like was being pressured into something I did not want. the only negative thing I have to say is I felt as though they were a bit understaffed I kind of got passed around because the sales team were having to deal with multiple people and in return the experience took a bit longer than expected. I purchased a brand new 2016 Honda HR-V and I am IN LOVE with this car. our salesman Stan was really friendly we ended up having to take a few trips back to the dealership and every single time we came back Stan was waiting right outside to greet us! my husband and I had actually purchased a car that was not in the state and we were told it would be a week until the car was delivered. I called back for an update and was told it was going to be another 3 weeks until the car would be there. I was not happy and I ended up talking to Brandon the sales manager. He took care of everything and was sooo professional about it. he searched to see if there was another red HR-V that he could get me into and ran into a dead end. he asked if I would be okay with a different color car. I told him yes and he worked hard to get me into another car that had just been delivered. within a few hours he had the car cleaned up and inspected and ready for me to resign papers on I was on my way in no time. I bought my first Honda from Ken Garff 9 years ago, and it has served me very well. When looking for a new CR-V, I knew that I would like to at least look at Ken Garff as an option. We had such a great experience working with Brycen, who never hesitated in showing us some other option, or helping put our 3 car-seats in another vehicle to make sure we liked the fit. I just purchased my third new Honda from Ken Garff and, as usual, I had an excellent salesman that found exactly what I wanted and got it here fast. I had a specific color and model in mind and he found it for me in another state by the time I went in and met with him and worked to get it here in record time. I am a die hard Honda driver and a lover of the CR-X and now the CR-Z. I was overjoyed when the CR-Z came out as it is an upgrade of the CR-X that I have always absolutely loved. I bought my first CR-X at Ken Garff in 1986, five years later bought another CR-X at Ken Garff that I have been driving ever since. It is 24 years old but still runs great, just a little worn, in fact, I can't bear to part with it and have always said I want to be buried in it! You can't go wrong at this dealership, they are very helpful but not pushy, they listen to what your needs are and strive to make sure you leave happy. Thanks again, Ken Garff!

Our first Honda was a 1988 Accord that we drove 260,000 miles. Darryl Brown is our mechanic, so we choose to bring our car to the Downtown Garff Dealership for service. Our second Honda was a 2004 CRV and it had 240,000 miles when we traded it in for our 2012 CRV. We enjoy the peace of mind that comes from excellent vehicle maintenance. Thanks Darryl!

I wanted to thank Eddie Jeppson, first of all he was very friendly and helpful and made me feel at home while I was at your dealership. The whole experience in choosing a vehicle, which I love, and the appraisal of my trade-in then securing the financing took less than 2 hours. I went to the dealership to buy a car, since the day before my car died on me while I was driving in the freeway. This was my first time buying a car, and I was terribly nervous. Rocky Marino introduced himself right away and asked if he could help and from then on out it was the greatest experience! He said in my price range and the type of car that I was looking for, you don't see a lot of sales people like that anymore. The first car he showed me was a 2010 Honda Civic and I fell in love with it once I saw it. I searched other dealerships and I came back after about a couple hours and I bought the car. I would recommend Rocky Marino and Ken Garff to anyone!

It was time to move to a new car and we'd been shopping around for a couple months. These visits usually left us drained and harassed. Not at Ken Garff Honda. I worked with good ole' Rusty. I hadn't purchased a vehicle for over 14 years. I really needed a new vehicle about 2 years ago, but hesitated because I simply didn't want to deal with car dealers, the pressure, the haggling, etc.Well, I finally decided to go through with it. A friend recommended Ken Garff. I got Rusty. Our interactions, from my perspective were the most genuine. Rusty came off as a trustworthy gentleman. He built his credibility quickly by showing all of the body language of someone who really cared about his customer. I could sense that he wasn't giving me any "bull" and that when he talked, his equanimity demonstrated a high level of integrity in his actions.It took me only 5 minutes to make a decision to purchase a vehicle from Ken Garff. Are they idiots or are they liars?I communicated back and forth for about a week with Ken Garff Honda through the salesmen Al and Corbin when I spotted a 2008 manual coupe Infiniti G37, before finally committing to a 6 hour drive to go purchase the car. When I arrived at the dealership to test drive the car I discovered it was not a manual, but an automatic. Obviously I was very angry that I had just wasted 12 hours of driving and several hundred dollars due to an extremely unprofessional "mistake". Now let's be fair and make sure this wasn't my oversight, right? And since the dealers sometimes reply to these reviews I will go ahead and remove some doubts as to their culpability. -Did I read the ad wrong?No, here's a screenshot I took of one of the adds that clearly states 6 speed manual: (link deleted to conform to Terms of Use)-Sometimes the 3rd party sites have the wrong information. Well other businesses can be bothered to check a few websites from which they get the most traffic to verify accuracy, wouldn't you expect that level of professionalism from Ken Garff Honda when you're about to give them $22k? It's not like I just took it upon myself to drive 6 hours down and look at this car. I spoke to salesmen every day for a week without ever hearing the car had inaccurate information online. They knew I was driving 6 hours down there and never thought to mention it. And this brings me back to my original question. Are they idiots or are they liars? Do they really have no idea their car is listed with inaccurate information? Maybe other people came in thinking it was a manual car and they just never made a note to mention it to other prospective buyers? Or do they realize that a manual sports car gets more hits than an automatic sports car? Do they think if someone drives 6 hours to buy the car they will find out it's automatic, but already be committed enough to purchase the vehicle anyway?As I said at the top, I don't know which one it is. Maybe they're just dumb, or maybe they're doing it all on purpose. Either way I'm urging you to speak with your wallet and take your business elsewhere. Maybe this will encourage some professionalism.

We had had a rough couple weeks . . . our car was totaled in an accident, and our oldest was getting married in a week, so we had a lot to do. We had researched online as well as email correspondence and test drives with several dealers before coming to Ken Garff. Sean Ackroyd approached us in the lot and I asked for one of the guys I had emailed previously. He found that individual was busy and asked that Sean take care of us in his place. Sean was very courteous and listened to what we were searching for. He had us take a seat and said he had it in another lot and would run to get it. He was back in minutes and we went for a ride. As we drove he explained what we were seeing and answered questions about the vehicle. I had been a lifelong Toyota owner so I had a lot of questions about the Honda. During it all we began to act like longtime friends, (which I usually dont do), going off on tangents so much so that my wife had to keep bringing us back on track. Counter offers went through with no pressure and before we knew it we were signing papers. Im feeling like a lifetime Garff customer in the making. Sean really made us feel at ease.

I hate being ripped off, lied to or being pressured into buying something that I didn't want in the first place. Most people think the same thing will happen to them when they walk into a dealership, but THAT IS NOT THIS PLACE! It took me a few trips after some bad experiences at all of the other Honda dealerships in the area - even the two other Ken Garff locations, not all are created equal!) I met Sean the first time I dropped by, he was knowledgeable, friendly and nothing like what I had experienced elsewhere! Even though it took me three trips back, I knew after I left the first time that he was who I would be buying from, and I did! Love my new Accord and loved my experience there. Recently I took my brand new 2014 Honda Accord in to get the glass replaced on it since, they scratched it when they delivered the car to me. I called Gene to get as he was the guy that takes care of Warranty items. He was not in the office, so I left him a message and 4 days later still no contact was made with me. Then, finally I got fed up and took it in and was given some absurd lie as to why he did not contact me. Finally, after a week or so the glass was ordered and put in. When it was done I got my car back and glue was all over my leather seats and they had damaged my door. As I pointed this out Gene said "Oh they put a plastic sheet down on the seats," well obviously they didn't. After arguing with him for a couple minutes he finally had the glue cleaned off my leather seats. The customer service there is absolutely horrible. Needless to say I will not be taking my brand new Honda there in the future for Warranty work or scheduled maintenance. Well, I guess they didn't "hear me." It's a good thing there is a number of Honda dealerships within a short drive, that can service my automobile.

I went into the dealership with a complicated situation. I needed out of a car, fast. I could not believe the service. I was told it could not be done by other dealers! I'm not someone who likes to hear no.. Going into Ken Garff I thought I was going to run into the same thing. After a few questions I was told "alright." I was amazed that I was treated so well given the situation. It took only a few hours to get what I wanted. It is nice to be treated with respect and not judged! Silly as a person who made a mistake.. I was treated poor by the competition. At Ken Garff Honda I was treated like I was the only person there. My mistake or problem became their problem and they were determined to help fix it! Thank you! I got out of a car I did not want and into the car I didn't even thing possible!

We were in the market for a used toyota FJ Cruiser in our price range for over a year. By chance I saw a purple six-speed manual 2007 FJ Cruiser for sale at Ken Garff. We were a bit hesitant as we have never gone out of Logan for a car purchase before. The staff put us at ease and the lot and business area were superb. After taking a spin and determining it was a car we would like to purchase, Rusty our rep, treated us with respect and listened to what we needed in order to take the car home. The financial person was also very friendly and personable. We found the car we have been looking for and will recommend Ken Garff downtown to everyone! Just a note, when I went to pick up the license plates Rusty told me the mechanics would take car of it. They were quick and friendly as well. This site hires responsibly and effectively.

I have found researching reviews very helpful when looking for a product or service. I feel there is no greater need for reviews than with buying a car. To be honest, I do not enjoy the process of purchasing a new car. The very thought of walking into a dealership causes me such explosive anxiety that I would just assume beat myself over the head with a fuller's club. I have never heard a sane person express a positively moving experience when dealing with a dealership. In efforts to minimize my time spent in a dealership, I approached the purchase process with calling over the phone to request a price on a car of my choice. This was in itself an enlightening experience. I realized quickly that despite all my efforts to try and take the sale out of the dealership, I could not take the dealership out of the sale. I experienced all the same psychological tactics and evasive maneuvers found when going into the dealership. In fact out of 12 different dealers in which I approached for pricing, I was able to get commitments from all except 1 to send me a price in writing (keep in mind I called all Honda dealers in Utah and few outside of Utah). The one that would not commit, I actually received a call back from a manager who then committed. So out of the 12 dealers committed, I received 6 actual follow through's. Yes. that was only half of all the dealerships would even follow through with a simple request to send a written quote. Out of the 6 who followed through, 3 were Ken Garff dealerships. I feel fortunate that out of those dealerships that had enough integrity to follow through with their commitment, I was able to get connected with Rusty Owen. He was by far the most helpful and courteous person I dealt with. He followed through with every commitment he made to me. In an industry that is so challenging and stressful, that really says something to me. He some how carefully navigated through all the industry driven chicanery and was able to come out honest. As a customer I was completely skeptical through the whole process. However, from the moment I walked in to Ken Garff they treated me and my family with respect and were upright and honest in all their efforts. The only thing I was not pleased with was the fact I could not get the lowest price just by asking. Rusty was very honest when talking about how the pricing worked and never once used any of the infamous bait switch tactics. Once a price was agreed to there was no deviation or back stepping by Rusty and his team. This was very refreshing to me. Even when entering the dark and dreadful chambers of financing, I was pleasantly surprised with the approach of Dave Strong the finance manager. He did his best to educate me on the warranty options and the typical addons that most dealers push in efforts suck every last dime out of you before signing the final bill. Despite my declining his offers he was friendly and quick to finish. He was so friendly that even my kids loved him. One of the most amazing things to me was the fact that Rusty spent another hour or more with my wife and I after the papers were signed and the deal was done. Who does this? Isn't it all about the sale? Not with Rusty! He took the time to help set up all the programming, showed us the many features and even synced my wife's cell phone. He was constantly checking with us about our children to ensure they were okay through the whole process. I can honestly recommend Ken Garff Honda dealership and even more importantly Rusty Owen to anyone in need of purchasing a new Honda.

This is our second time buying a Honda at Ken Garff and we wouldn't go anywhere else! Doug was great to deal with. My husband couldn't get to the dealership until almost 8:00 p.m. and Doug stayed late to help us purchase and explain all the bells and whistles of our new CRV. The buying process was clear with no pressure or hype. He even searched the lot after hours to find our old CRV which was there for repairs so that we could get the garage door opener out of it. In May 2013 we bought two 2013 Hondas from Garff Honda Downtown--a CRV and an Accord. That experience was very positive. As of yet (one year later) we have had no need for any repairs or maintenance--not even an oil change. We don't drive a lot and we're waiting for the appropriate signal lights to appear. When they do, we'll rate that process.

On April 17 my wife brought her 2007 CRV in for a broken wiper reservoir, a replacement key, and to have the power door locks fixed. She was told she needed an oil change, annual servicing, and new tires and an alignment. She called me and we declined the tires, alignment, and oil change. (I later had my mechanic friend look at the tires on the CRV and he said they were good for another 5-10k miles.) The other repairs were made and we came from Farmington to get the car. My wife drove the car and found that the power locks were not fixed. We brought the car back. Later they called to say it was fixed. After I had done some investigation on the Internet I asked the serviceman why there wasnt a recall on the power door locks another serviceman said there was a current Class Action lawsuit on this issue and he also added the 2 other door locks actuators would possibly go out also. We should have been told this before we spent $500 we might have waited for the outcome of the Class Action lawsuit. After our 2nd roundtrip to SLC taking 4 hours of our time, we were offered a free oil change, which actually turned out to be a discount off the full price that was somewhat of an insult after we just spent over $1700. In summary I was disappointed at:- the up-sell tactics on my wife - rather than recommendation- work not complete the 1st time - causing us 4 hours of our time - and being 'compensated' with a discount oil change- not being told about the Class Action lawsuit on the power locks so that we could have made a decision about aiting to do the repairs.

You can expect a very good customer service with Eddie. It took us two days to finalize our decision among Honda Accord Ex and Honda CRV Ex as we were very unsure with our purchase. We test drove both and also EX and LX models. Eddie was very patient with us and explained us in great detail the choices we had in front of us. He, however, did not push us towards any, so we could evaluate our choices in our own minds, which was a very good thing, unlike other dealerships where they push us into expensive models.It was overall a sound and smooth process and Eddie facilitated this well. We came to Ken Garff Downtown to look at a CR-V. We were greeted by Patrick Horgan. Patrick immediately remembered our names and began answering our initial questions. He also spent a great deal of time, explaining all the features of the vehicle we were interested in. He was kind and gentle, but never pushy or made us feel we had to make a quick decision. He allowed everything to happen on our timetable, which made us not feel pressured. We ultimately bought a 2014 CR-V, which we love and know that we are going to be happy with for many years. We are senior citizens and have had many years of not-so-pleasant automobile purchases. Overall great experience with these guys. We dealt over the phone at first, because the drive to the dealership would take over 4 hours. Great service, fast responses and just very nice people. However, when I got home with the new used vehicle, I discovered that the spare tire was missing. I contacted the dealership and they said they would pay $75 for a doughnut. The problem is that I live in rural Wyoming, drove 4 hours to buy this car and there are no doughnuts to be had in my area for a Kia Soul. I went to a tire dealership and they told me I would have to buy a new tire and rim specifically for the Kia Soul, which I can not afford at this time. So right now I am stuck without a spare tire....

I hadn't purchased a car in 14 years, so I didn't really know what to expect, but Eddie and Ken Garff Honda had come highly recommended, so I gave them a try, and I'm glad I did. I had initially gone in thinking I would purchase a 2013 Fit, but they were able to keep the price down enough on a brand-new 2014 Civic with only 11 miles on it that I ended up purchasing that car instead. Kris Vreeken was amazing to work with. I was referred to him by a friend and I was extremely pleased with his service and even temperament. I told him exactly what I needed and could afford and he found me exactly what I wanted. As a female one always worries about having the 'pushy car salesman' to deal with but Kris is anything but pushy. He explained all the attributes of the car, made sure I was comfortable with my purchase and how to work everything before I left the dealership. I have since had two follow up calls from Kris, making sure I'm happy with the car and wanting to answer any questions I may still have. This is my third car I've purchased (I drive to them to the ground) and have never had such customer service as I've received from Ken Garff Honda downtown, nor from Kris Vreeken. I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely be purchasing another car from him when it comes time.

Im not a big review writer but considering the overall great experience that I had at Ken Graff Honda Downtown I feel like I owe it to the team there. Id been shopping for the new 14 Accord Hybrid Touring for my wife. I had visited several lots and made a lot of phone calls to dealers all over the intermountain area. They all wanted to mark up the price a thousand or so over sticker or put on a bunch of expensive crap like undercoating, paint coating, pin stripes, etc. in order to jack up the price. Garff Downtown had what I was looking for and, though it was a very high demand car, was willing to sell it to me at sticker. I asked Chris why he was willing to sell me the car without extracting a premium like all the other dealers were doing. He said he was working to get my business on the next car I buy and the next one after that. It fair to say that everyone I encountered at the Garff was more concerned with a long-term customer relationship rather than just making money only on the immediate transaction. Eddie did a great job finding what I was looking for and made the transaction take place before the end of the year. His follow up to make sure we were happy was extraordinary. There were a few extenuating auto-show-related circumstances surrounding delivering the car. I was very picky and they were more than accommodating. Things that didnt happen while I was making the purchase: I never got tag-teamed by the salesman and manager, I was never pressured to close and I never felt like I was being gouged or worked over.Advertising campaigns are usually just fluff and BS. However, the folks at Garff really do listen, really are low pressure, and really are honest just like the bill boards say. However, I didnt see anyone on the lot with big ears.In summary, I liked the people, dealership and product so much that I bought a second Accord Hybrid from Eddie and company yesterday. I will likely buy several more cars from them in the future.

Wow, Seriously, what a team! The customer service of this dealership is 5 STAR. Eddie never, ever pressured me about buying a car, but just let me do my thing. I really appreciated that. I had an extenuating circumstance (live in Calif. & could not get to Utah for a week due work and airlines being full), but they held the car as promised with my deposit! I am super picky about a clean, certified pre-owned car, and they did everything possible to assure me the car was in great condition since I could only see it on the internet. When we finally did arrive, they picked us up in the car and it was even better than in the pictures, video, & phone walk around! As an ASE Master Tech, I inspected every detail of the car myself. Their inspection certification team had done an outstanding job prepping the car. I found one little flaw in the driver's seat &... BOOM, there was an interior specialist on it within minutes who fixed it to virtually undetectable. Now as for the team--Eddie... what a patient person and no pressure. NO SALES tactics or tricks--just did everything to facilitate the purchase of the car in a super simple, smooth way. The purchase just flowed! I had been looking for this car on Craigslist, Auto Trader Etc. for about a year, and the price was beyond super fair for this impecable car. My 15 year old daughter and I had a wonderful experience and she learned a lot about great customer service! I would recommend this dealership team to anyone! And I don't particully like dealership salespeople! But the Ken Garff team changed my attitude. I am even going to have them look for another car for us... That's how pleased & confident I am in them. Go to Eddie Jeppson! You won't regret it!! P.S. My neighbor has 2 dealerships in SLC and I told him about my experiance with KGHonda and he said "yeah, those guys will always do you right! And they did you right!" Doug was awesome to work with. At one point we were ready to look at purchasing a specific car. Doug wanted to go over the Car Facts first. We found out that the car had been in a wreck. I wanted nothing to do with a wrecked car. So I asked to see other cars. We ended up buying another car that Doug had found us that was well priced and had clean Car Facts. I would purchase from Doug again due to the fact that it showed his integrity. We could have walked away and never purchased anything - but we did because we trusted him to be up front.

I had a great experience at Ken Garff. I wanted to purchase a vehicle before I drove back to Washington. They were considerate of my timeline, but at the same time not subjecting me to a high pressure sales pitch. Ken Garff's pricing was also honest. My father was literally checking prices in the Pacific Northwest while I was negotiating the price of my vehicle. Ken Garff's pricing was right in the ballpark if not a bit cheaper. I had an easy experience and my sales consultant was Patrick Horgan.

I would absolutely direct a friend or family member to Ken Garff Downtown, as I was myself referred by family. Sure, there's no escaping the fact that you're working with car salesmen. But they want to make a sale as much as you want to buy a car, so it's an easy alliance. I didn't find their tactics to be pushy or aggressive (persistent, but not annoyingly so--squeaky wheel gets the grease after all). I signed the lease agreement late at night and several of the staff stayed well after hours to help get things done. There was an issue that I overlooked after a long day of work and car shopping, but when I brought it up the next day, rather than telling me "Too late, the ink has already dried," they were still willing to review my concerns, reach an agreement, and let me sign a new lease agreement for an amended amount. To be fair, my concern was legitimate and self-explanatory, but even though the difference was quite small with regards to my monthly payments they still treated me with respect.

In the past 6 years, I have purchased 4 cars and have done business with car dealers in and outside of Utah. Last week I started looking for a car, but I did not want to get another loan. I wanted something inexpensive and reliable, so I can pay cash. I went to Ken Garff on 3/1/2014 just to look around and to see what they had available. Patrick Horgan helped me with the car sale. He was very polity, really cared about what I wanted; he asked question to figure out what my expectations were and respected them. I have been to other big dealerships in Salt Lake and my experience in Ken Garff was nothing like those. In Ken Garff they treated me like family. Patrick was not pushy; it was not about getting me in and out the door and getting to the next customer. If you want a very stress-free, layback experience, go see Patrick. I would definitely recommend Ken Garff to my friends and family. In fact I started talking to Patrick about potentially leasing my next car from there. I expected to get the typical "what can we get you into today" treatment. The reality couldn't have been further from that. I was happily greeted. I let them know I was only interested in a used vehicle that they had online. The guy was straight forward and honest with the price they were asking and when I said that was 2k past my limit he didn't push me further. I would like if the online site would list the prices for all vehicles so that I didnt have to go down there. Aside from the lack of price online it was a great relief to not be hassled.

Almost two years later as I purchased my first Honda vehicle in 2012 from the same dealership then traded it in 2014 for a new vehicle. I have not changed my opinion or perspective about Eddie Jeppson, who has helped me purchase and along with financing my second Honda car from Ken Garff Honda Downtown. I am Awesomisticly happy with the consistent services and hospitality, Eddie and his team have shown me as a loyal customer coming back. I wish I could give Eddie a 10, but this survey only allows me a 5. I believe and know he has gone above and beyond the call of duty to getting me on the road with a vehicle I can trust and use for my life, schooling, and even work, in computers. With the concern shown and the feeling of family he has impressed upon in this exchange, it is not just a business feeling but at family feeling to it. He deserves the medal of communication for knowing what his customer's need. Eddie Jeppson is more than just a salesman but a compass(consultant) who points the right direction where Ken Garff should keep going with their customers.

I am disgusted beyond words at Ken Garff and Brandon Crapo. I bought a new civic last October from him, and thought I had a decent experience. When my in-laws were looking for a new Honda I recommended they talk to Brandon. They had a car that needed a new transmission that could be sold for parts as a trade-in. Brandon played games with them for a while, and before they ever even said they wanted a car he sent the company who was going to buy the parts to the autobody shop where the car was being stored because it didn't run. When my father-in-law went to get information from the car he realized that the car had already been picked up so the parts could be sold, per Ken Garff and Brandon Crapo. He never even said he was buying a car from them. I am livid that this happened to a referral I sent in. You better believe that I will buy Honda's for the rest of my life and that I will never set foot into a Ken Garff dealership ever again. After my two years of free service is up I will never service my car at a Ken Garff Dealership again. They were going to give my father-in-law $2700 for the car when the parts company was going to give them $2800. They were even trying to take a cut on the parts. After everything that happened they got a better deal at Willy Honda in Bountiful.

I had a great car buying experience here. Everyone was knowledgable, respectable and fun to be with. I had great car service at Ken Garff Honda years ago, and knew I would buy here, when I returned to owning another Honda. (I went Acura for a while) All my questions, and I ask alot, were listened to, and given thoughtfull responses. Nothing gets in the way of getting good products, in the hands of consumers, at competitive prices. Ken Garff Honda is a fantastic place to buy a car, and Stan Schubach is an excellent Sales Consultant.

Just purchased a 2011 Certified Used Honda Fit Sport from Ken Garff end of December. Originally started out working with Al Kramer through KSL.com Classifieds Instant Message and then "Fast Eddie" Jeppson once I got to the Dealership to look at a 2010 Fit base. Eddie was very helpful, very nice and not pushy. He was easy to talk to and didn't come off as the "car salesman" stereotype. He was personable. I asked what the "out-the-door" cost would be and 5 minutes later I had all the fees laid out for me to see on a piece of paper that I took with me. Those ended up being the same fees later when we bought a different car, read below to see the story. :) I took the car home to show my wife and when I came back, he waited up for me to arrive around 7pm. He sent one text right before I arrived asking how we liked the car. He had a family function to get to and instead of just letting me figure things out when I got back to the dealership, he waited up and asked how we liked the car and told me he'd have Brandon Crapo help me as he had to go to a family activity. Brandon was very helpful. I actually made an offer on the Fit through Brandon and it was turned down. Brandon was nice about explaining why they had priced the car as they did and we agreed to disagree. The next day I found another car on their lot and looked at it around 4pm. I was super bummed to hear from Eddie that it just sold minutes before (papers signed and sale agreed on over the phone). The crazy part was he was going to find out more because the buyer was not on site like I was and so he talked to the Manager and somehow, someway he said its yours if you want it since you're here now at the dealership. So, we went for a test drive with Brandon and decided to buy it. I called my wife to come down to Garff, this was the "one". I think it was about 2 to 2.5 hours after making the decision, we were on our way out the door around 730pm on Friday night with a new/used Fit, which included financing through America First through Garff's finance dept with Trevor Wilkins. We had a small mix up on a portion of the financing paperwork and I think Trevor was a little annoyed because my wife and I didn't catch it until the final costs were laid out in print, but Trevor quickly re-drew up the paperwork and we were good to go. Overall I was very happy with Ken Garff employees and the dealership has a high quality feel to it in our experience.

I chose Ken Garff because I remember how kind the service department was when I brought in my vehicle for a safety inspection. THe service guys were so professional and exemplified Garff Care service. I met with car salesman Scott Olson who was a real pleasure to work with. He was eager to show me vehicles and we did several test drives. Scott was patient and wiling to go that extra mile to help me make an informed decision and ride off with the car of my dreams. He introduced me to several members of the team, the finance guy, Ernie the trade in specialist and the associate handling the detailing of my just purchased vehicle. I want to thank them all for their help, knowledge and willingness to provide awesome customer service! Each time I came back to the dealership there was always some one their with a smile and a hello, offering their help if it was needed. A few Saturday ago I started my car shopping at Ken Garff Honda and Jake Lambson left such a great impression and experience that I ended up coming back 12 hours later that same day to buy a car there. I went to other dealers that day and they were terrible (especially Dodge). All day long I had the car I had test driven that morning (Honda Element) in my head and Jake's great customer service. He wasn't pushy AT ALL and it was such a relief. He was informative and answered questions without being annoying. He's one of the main reasons I came back to buy the Honda Element. It's also great knowing I have an open invite to call him with any questions and concerns with the car anytime, even months after buying it. All the other employees were awesome as well and treated me with respect and weren't annoying at all. Skylar Peterson was also great in helping figure out the financial part. I would highly recommend buying a car from Ken Garff Honda.

I purchased a vehicle from Ken Garff Honda in Salt Lake a few years ago. They sold me on their "120 Point Mechanical Insepction" and assured me that nothing was mehcanically wrong with the vehicle I was very interested in. One week after buying the vehicle I took it back for the check engine light being on. They kept the car for an entire day and told me they would have it fixed. Two weeks after that I took the vehicle back for the same problem and they kept it for another full day. I asked if I could get a loaner and was told no. In addition when I purchased the vehicle I was told that I had to purchase a mechanical warranty since my credit wasn't perfect. However, during the second repair of the same problem I was told that it did not cover what I was trying to fix and that I had to pay for the repairs upfront. After arguing for a few minutes they finally told me they would fix it at no cost again "this time". Despite having already paid for the warranty I took my vehicle to another mechanic shop (B&R Tire who are awesome by the way) where I spent a few hundred dollars getting the vehicle fixed the right way and fixing a few other minor things that I think should've been caught in Ken Garff's "120 Point Inspection". I bring this up now because I've seen a lot of "We listen" commercials from Ken Garff lately, but it seems like as soon as I told them how much I wanted to put down as a down payment, they didn't care much about what I was saying. The sales person that sold me the vehicle called and left messages for me every three months asking if I knew anyone else who wanted to buy a car or if I was ready to purchase another vehicle but he never asked how my experience with the vehicle that I had already purchased was going. I finally had to tell him to stop calling since I will never be a customer of Ken Garff again. I looked at the Better Business Bureau as well as Gephart Approved web sites and it looks like I should've gone to Henry Day Ford instead.

My husband and I recently moved to Salt Lake City and needed more reliable cars to deal with the snow and hills we need to climb to get to our home and to school at the U. We searched all over the valley for car dealerships and cars that fit our criteria of being newer, reliable, safe, and a good value. Being first-time car buyers, we were slightly nervous and visited many car dealerships before we stumbled upon Ken Garff Honda in Downtown Salt Lake City, just down the street from our home! We went in to the dealership on a Thursday evening, and walked out with a new car! From beginning to end, it has been a wonderful experience. While other car dealerships saw us as young, newlywed, poor college kids and didnt really help us very much as far as knowledge of cars and test driving, Jake at Ken Garff was an excellent help to us. I hate to call him a salesperson because I dont feel like he sold us anything, he sold himself! He was low-pressure, extremely honest, and relatable. He was very open and didnt make us feel dumb like other salesmen did at other dealerships. He took us seriously and proved to be very reliable. He is fairly new to the dealership, and he told us he prides himself in working at such an outstanding facility, as he should. Jake answered all our questions, was very warm and he made us feel safe. We dont feel like we got hassled at all, and we had a wonderful first-time buying experience. PLUS we got an amazing, beautiful car (Certified 2010 Honda CR-V). We would (and have!) recommended Jake to many of our friends and will refer anyone to him who is in the market for a new car.Skyler was fantastic to work with. He did all our financing and just like Jake, made us feel extremely welcome and comfortable. I had no idea that buying a car took so long! But they told us we were pretty fast. They both (Jake and Skyler) stayed well after business hours to make sure everything got taken care of. Our financing was tricky, but they were a dream to work with and they jumped through hoops for us! I really appreciated how much they cared for us to make our purchase possible. On top of the wonderful car we were able to purchase and the excellent service, I do have to comment on the service team as well. They are so efficient and Adam helped my husband and I so much. He is the most professional car expert Ive ever worked with! He took such good care of us and while our car we purchased was not new, it was certified and he went above and beyond to make sure it felt brand new. He fixed all the little issues we were concerned with, and just made us feel so great after we left. I had a little bad experience and mixup with the shuttle, but I believe they got it straightened out. It wasnt enough to overshadow the fabulous service and treatment we received. We are more than pleased with them and will be very loyal to this dealership. The new Honda owner workshop was wonderful. I found out so many perks to purchasing our car and servicing our car at Honda. The $25 gift card for dinner was great as well. I can truly tell that the team at Ken Garff Honda cares about their customers and that selling cars is not their number one priority. There is a reason why there are dozens of great reviews all over the internet! They truly are the best and I feel very fortunate to have stumbled upon them that day! We decided we liked the Honda Odyssey 2013, so off we went!!More then dreading finding the right car we were nervous about finding the right dealership. We went to a couple dealerships, but just weren't comfortable with the sales people high pressure tactics. I grow tired of pushy sales people who think I will respond to scaring rather then just good clean customer service!Good clean customer service is exactly what we got with Eddie!!! He is refreshing!! No high pressure! No scare tactics! Just great customer service that builds trust and friendship!! He made sure we understood everything about the Odyssey! He helped us load our car seats in the van and let us go on a test drive with all five of our kids to make sure we were 100% on the Odyssey! What a great example Eddie is to how car sales SHOULD ALWAYS BE!!!!Eddie made sure the paper work and all that really "fun" stuff was a breeze and hassle free! We will definitely recommend him to all our friends and family!!!Trevor was also a pleasure to work with on the financial end of the day! He is very smart and made sure we were well informed about all the insurances and coverages that were offered. I could tell he really genuinely wanted us to get the proper coverage for our brand new van!! He put a package together for us just the way we wanted it! What a guy!!!

I had a great experience with Jake at Ken Garff Honda Downtown. He was very helpful and informative. He answered all of my questions, and if he didn't know the answer, he promptly found it. He spent several hours with me on two different occasions. He made sure that I test drove the cars that I had on my list. He didn't push me to buy a car, which was really nice. My wife and I were looking for a 2nd vehicle and dreaded the idea of going to car dealerships. From past experience it usually was a long, drawn out, haggling process which was not a lot of fun. One thing was certain, we both new for sure that we wanted a Honda. As an owner of a Civic and my wife being a past owner of a Honda City (in Thailand) we both have had positive experiences and were sold on the brand. We both agreed to check out Ken Garff Honda in downtown Salt Lake. When we arrived at the dealership we met Eddie Jeppson and we told him we were interested in used Pilots. He pulled out his own sheet of used Honda vehicles that were on the lot and gave it to us. He let us roam the lot and let us know that if we had any questions just let him know. He stayed in the background while we did our thing. Amazing! He was very laid back and confident in the Honda name. No pressure at all. It turns out that we decided to look around at other dealerships and let him know this and gave him back the list. He was not upset or disappointed and he let us know that we were welcome to come back anytime. We visited two other dealerships that week. Both dealerships were not as friendly or as helpful as our experience with Eddie at Ken Garff Honda Downtown. There was more of a vehicle selection there also. So we went back to Eddie, decided on a Honda CRV after test driving, and then started the finance process. Eddie was very friendly and easy to work with. We let him know what we were willing to pay and it turns out that they could make it happen. It was not a lengthy, tedious process at all. It was a pleasure buying a car from Eddie and his team!

After setting up a service appointment online with details of the issues I needed addressed (Oil change, leaking fuel cap, door not closing properly), when I arrived at the dealership, no one was there to guide me into the shop, greet me at the door, or even ask me if they could help me. I simply stood in the doorway, where the service writers ignored me for several minutes, which made me feel uncomfortable. I finally asked if someone could help me, and they, first, acted like it was the first time they noticed me, then second, seemed annoyed that I bothered them. After the ticket was written up, I reminded them of my detailed requests I had written on the internet appointment setup, and the service writer seem almost mad at me for pointing this out to him. Obviously, he didn't even bother to look at that portion of my initial request. After several minutes of seeing him stew while transferring my information to the ticket write-up, he said that it would be about 45 minutes, and that I could wait in the waiting room, or go to the showroom. Since I had been to the shop before, I was able to find my way, but I was VERY surprised that no direction was provided to me as to where to find the facilities he mentioned. Signage is terrible, too, in helping one find their own way. In comparing this dealer's service experience to Stockton 12, I will NEVER RETURN to Garff. At Stockton 12, you are greeted at your car, introduced to your service writer, directed to the waiting room, shown where coffee and drinks are located, and simply makes your experience very comfortable. Back to one other issue at Garff, while they offer for purchase a very good service agreement where you get several oil changes and tire rotations for a minimal charge, which I had purchased when I took delivery of my Ridgeline, I chose NOT to purchase a second service agreement because of how uncomfortable I felt during my multiple visits to Garff's service. Do yourself a favor, GO TO STOCKTON 12, where you are treated with respect, and not treated as if you're an annoyance! One other thing, I had requested that the back passenger door be adjusted so the door closes like a Honda normally does, and the door still closes by not latching correctly. Apparently, nothing was done to fix this problem.

After my Nissan Maxima was totaled, I was in the market for another car. After almost three weeks of searching, I was recommended to Eddie at Ken Garff by a friend of mine. I had been having little success finding a good car for a reasonable price on the private market, and even less at other dealerships I had gone to. I had been to several dealerships such as Karl Malone, Dahle Nissan and Mazda, as well as a myriad of smaller dealerships, to no avail. The salesmen at these dealerships tried to talk me into buying something brand new, or buying something far above my intended price range. They were aggressive, and tried to pressure or goad me into going along with it. One of the salesmen tried to incessantly compliment me and talk to me like he was my best friend, which came across as fake and dishonest. One of my goals going in was to not have an astronomically high car payment, as well as not feeling like I had settled for something I didn't want. In comes Eddie. I went to the Ken Garff dealership to meet him as per the recommendation of a friend of mine, and he immediately showed me their list of inventory. He made a point out of showing me the cost the dealership had invested into the vehicle, and told me that he did not intend on selling me a vehicle that was marked up. We test drove a Hyundai Elantra, which was nice, but I wasn't quite feeling it. When we got back to his desk I asked him about their selection of Mazda 3's, and he pulled up all of their stock from other locations. We saw the 2010 Mazda 3, and I immediately wanted to check it out. He drove my girlfriend and I to the Ken Garff Fiat dealership to test drive the Mazda. I noticed a couple of things I didn't like, and he said that those things would be repaired if they would impact my decision to buy the vehicle. After the test drive, we drove back to his home dealership to talk cost, and he worked to get me a good price on a bumper to bumper warranty good till 100,000 miles (The car had 68 at the time), which basically is the same as a stock manufacturers warranty. He also got me a deal on window tint, and a few other extras as well as making sure I understood all the perks and benefits of their Garffcare. After all was said and done, I walked out with the car and a lot of other extras such as undercoat protection. When I got home, I noticed that the horn didn't work, and I called Eddie. He told me that when I brought the car back in for tinting, they would fix the horn for me, no problem. The car only came with one key, and I asked Eddie if he would be willing to get me another. He said that shouldn't be an issue, and has been working to get me an extra. The service I have received from Eddie and the other staff at Ken Garff has been amazing, and is completely opposite of how I felt at other dealerships. I wasn't pressured or bullied, he didn't try to talk me into buying something I didn't want. He wasn't aggressive, and he has done everything he could to accommodate me, even after my purchase. A lot of other dealers wouldn't give me the time of day once I had left with the car. I would recommend my friend and family go to Eddie, as I felt really good after dealing with him. I am happy with my purchase, and do not feel like I was coerced or conned. This experience has definitely changed my mind on Car Dealerships, and Ken Garff has earned my respect and future business, all thanks to Eddie.

He didn't seem at all like a typical salesman but consulted with me for a few hours as we discussed all the options available -- new and used cars of several makes and models, specials, and financing. I kept in touch with him and I reached out to about half a dozen different dealerships. I read scads of online reviews, took a former car salesman out to lunch, test drove models, and built a massive spreadsheet of options.My search started with Eddie at Ken Garff and two weeks later concluded with Eddie at Ken Garff. Through all my interactions with so many dealerships and salesmen, it was clear that Eddie was in a league of his own-- friendly, supportive, reliable, above-board, forthright, and the kind of person who would go the second mile for you. Not sure how to write this review without readers thinking Eddie paid me, but I seriously do have to elaborate on my family's "rescue."My wife and 4 children cruised across the Bonneville salt flats with a 2004 Ford Freestar that was running hot. By the time we hit Wendover, it was "all over." I pulled into the Rainbow Casino hotel to keep from damaging the engine and quickly figured out that there was NO-ONE I would trust to repair the van (probably the water pump since the system had just been flushed and had a new thermostat, but who knows) and no one that could get it done to get us back on our family vacation by the next day or maybe within several days.I called the Ken Garff dealership the next morning and asked for a "salesperson." Fortunately, I got Eddie and am comfortably sitting in Sacramento, CA on vacation THIS SAME DAY. Why? Because Eddie had a very nice used Toyota Sienna that he could make affordable for us (we can't afford a new van regardless of the make/model). But it's not the affordability that has led to this review. Eddie went and picked up a trailer and HAULED THE SIENNA TO US in Wendover, worked up all the paperwork in advance so that we could do the whole deal in the hotel parking lot, then loaded up our van as a trade and took it back to SLC! We were on the road back on vacation in our "new-to-us" van in less than 6 hours after I made the first phone call!!From a transportation standpoint we were truly "stranded on a desert island" with no good way off. And, in true "extreme van makeover" fashion, Eddie played along with me to fool my wife would thought I was out attempting to find a mechanic to do the repair and was expecting to be stranded in Wendover for days. She had been asking for a Honda Oddessy or Toyota Sienna for quite some time and was stunned as Eddie played "Brad the mechanic" and said he was sorry he couldn't fix our van so he brought her a new one.It's been a long day...but a good one. Eddie Jeppson & Sean were kind, helpful, friendly, & great to work with. Recommendations/Suggestions: When I ask what your best price is, don't be so hesitant to give me a number. We both want to make a good deal. Being forthright speeds up the process & is easier for both of us. I appreciated the deal we received and think it will be a good car for us. Also, while I'm sure you were trying to be helpful, it comes accross negatively when we were so often reminded that other customers were coming in to test drive this car. I'm aware the deal is up for grabs and Would prefer not to have been reminded of this so often. Waiting 90+ minutes for Taylor Johnson was NOT acceptable. This negatively tainted our overall impression of the Ken Garff dealership. Taylor was aware but acted like it was no big deal that we waited this long. His dealings with us took only 10-15 minutes. He somehow should have worked us in rather than make us wait with our 7 year old daughter! The people in front of us must have been important. We left feeling non-important... a non-priority. We agreed to the deal before 9:00 p.m. It was around 11:00 p.m. by the time we finished.

Eddie Jeppson isn't called "Fast Eddie" for no reason, but not the good kind! He won't hesitate to pull a fast one on you, but at least he was honest in that it was all in the name of him meeting his quota. After playing games with us at the dealership for 3 hours on a weeknight with our kids there and a baby on the way, my husband and I were still not satisfied with the price we were quoted and left without renewing our lease. At 7:15 the next Saturday night, which was also the end of the month, Eddie called us and told us that he had gotten the price we wanted approved and asked us to come into the dealership to sign with no games, no wait. The only honest statement from Eddie that night was "I need to make quota". Indeed, I signed all of the paperwork at the cost that Eddie had provided over the phone, however it took an additional 2 hours to do so and there were plenty of games to come. I received a call from Ken Garff Honda on Monday, stating that Eddie had not only lied to me about the terms of the lease, but to his Finance Manager as well! The terms of the lease that we not only agreed to, but signed for, were absolutely impossible and Eddie was aware of this prior to even calling us. Ken Garff Honda offered us a new deal that was so terrible that even the leasing agent I was speaking with advised us not to take it. Eddie had the audacity to try to blame the situation on Honda, but his manager already confirmed that he had told Eddie directly that it was an impossible term and not to do it, which he ignored and lied about to all parties involved. We have had a great previous experience with Ken Garff, but we are so apalled by the type of employee that Eddie turned out to be that we will no longer do business with Ken Garff as a whole. We will not contribute to a company that supports dishonest employees.

This was my 5th dealership lookiing for a truck. I didn't have the time to go in and look around or sit for 6hrs and get haggled. I told them what I needed, price range I wanted and they hooked us up.. EDDIE was our dealer and he was awesome! They didn't have any in stock that were what I wanted or needed so I found one on KSL in Logan that I loved he drove up and got it and brought it back and with in a week and only a few hours at the actual dealership, I had my truck! I bought my first car from Eddie in 2011, he was amazing I liked the fact that he was very interested in what i needed and what I could afford. Eddie was very honest with everything I asked, he listened and did everything in his power to find the right car for me. I never once felt pressured into something I didn't want or couldn't afford. Recently I bought my second car from Eddie and I couldn't be happier that I've found the most awesome dealership guy ever. I thought about looking at a car that I thought would be a fabulous car, Eddie told me he wouldn't feel right selling me a car that had some problems. That was amazing! We just purchased a new CR-V from Sean Ackroyd at Garff Downtown in Salt Lake City, and our experience was exceptional. We first met Sean late one evening at the dealership when casually shopping. Went in to look at Honda CRV;s and meet Eddie, who gave us the low down on some great deals on new and used vehicles. After working with Eddie for almost the whole day, we never felt pressured to purchase any of the vehicles we test drove, but we ended up, purchasing a new Honda CRV LX model that my wife just loved...Eddie was great to work with and was very easy to work with. I had been to many lots looking for a good used car when my old and faithful little red car was finally on its last legs after 18 years together. My family has bought many cars from the Ken Garff lots over the last 20 years, and I have always had a good experience. Finally the 2009 blue Honda Accord caught my eye and Ernie Hasna was very patient with me, allowing me to come back several times and spend some time with it before I made a final decision. There was no playing fast and loose, the price was the price, and there was no hard sell. Everything I asked, Ernie was there to make the process smooth for me. When I finally made a decision, Ernie was with another customer, so Eddie Jeppson stepped in and helped me finalize the paperwork and wait for the financing. He was very friendly and I was really impressed that they would work together as a team helping each other out. It was fun to hang out and everyone I met at the lot was very friendly, real and nice to me. Thanks for making a long day a lot more fun that it could have been. Good work! I will definitely be buying my next car from Ken Garff, hopefully at least 18 years from now. :)

We recently purchased a new Pilot. The transaction was really smooth, the sales staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy. The pricing was very fair from the start....didn't have to deal with lots of haggling. We weren't in the market for a Pilot but thought we would buy a Subaru and needed to trade in our Tacoma as part of the purchase. We got an online quote on the value of the Tacoma from AutoTrader and Ken Garff receives those leads. We were contacted promptly and they were very professional when I explained we weren't buying a Honda. We held off on buying for a few months but then decided we wanted to. I contacted the Ken Garff team through email and asked if they were still interested in buying our truck even though we weren't buying a Honda. They were still interested and they offered us the AutoTrader value, which was a very fair value and the same trade in price the other dealers offered us. They didn't even push Honda since we mentioned we weren't in the market but I wanted to drive the Pilot while they assessed our truck. I fell in love with it but it took me a few weeks to convince my husband. Throughout the entire process, the sales team answered our questions promptly, were never pushy,never seemed annoyed, and they had top notch customer service. One of our best car buying experiences ever. We nearly put off buying a new car because of the hassle we got at the local Subaru and Ford dealerships. Thanks!

My wife and I were looking at a Honda Pilot we saw on Ken Garff's website. We visited the dealership the next day but it had already been sold. Eddie took our info and promised to keep us updated on anything that came in and met our specifications. He helped us find a 2007 CR-V that met our criteria. Eddie and the management worked with us on the price and we very accommodating. We lived out of town so were not going to be able to pick the vehicle up until the weekend. Instead of waiting however Eddie took his day off to drive 2 hours out of his way and meet us halfway to sign the paperwork and hand over the vehicle. This was our second purchase from a Ken Garff dealership and I will definitely be going back to them when I am next looking to purchase another.

Regarding my purchase 12/31/2012: After my son and I wandered around a tad in the snowy parking lot, Eddie Jeppson greeted us and asked us what we were looking for. We weren't really sure and asked to see a list... He immediately took us in the warm office and showed us the inventory list with prices available that day. From the list we were able to narrow to two vehicles. He got them cleared of snow and warmed up and set my son and I off for back-to-back test drives. We liked both but settled on one. After pricing out my trade-in (truck) at about $1k more than I expected the final price (without tax) was $1k less than the price he showed me on the list. It was a done deal. SIMPLE.Eddie was great to deal with and I will be visiting him again soon when I need to purchase another new-used family vehicle.

During the research portion of my new car shopping experience I visited every Honda dealership within 75 miles of Salt Lake City and no one came close to Ken Garff in both the price as well as the overall experience. Everyone who worked at this dealership was extremely pleasant and very accepting of my wants and needs. The sales manager came out from behind the glass and worked with my wife and I directly so there was never a time when I was in the dark about what was going on with the sale price of the new car and my trade in. They immediately gave me a price that was much lower than anyone else and did not take any money away from my trade value. They actually exceeded my requests by a fair amount even though I told them I would by at "x price". I have purchased many cars over the years and I have never felt that good about a situation and I have since sent several friends there to purchase new Honda vehicles. At this point I wouldn't buy anything from another sales team. Lucy with internet sales was extremely helpful and contacted me quickly with lots of information, Ron and Brandon were great, no pressure salesmen, and Chris coming out from behind the glass to show me multiple scenarios was priceless in my opinion. I will not shop anywhere else and will continue to send friends and family there.

I worked with Al Kramer of the internet sales team to purchase a new accord. The price he quoted was invoice and was within $1 of the quotes I received from two other dealerships. However, he really worked with me on the accessories I wanted and the final out-the-door price was $1000 less than any other quote I received (3 other dealers in the area). I had worked out all of the details before I walked into the dealership. The price when I went in was exactly what he quoted and I was out the door in 1 hour. By far, this was the best new car buying experience I have ever had. Definitely ask for Al Kramer.

I spent hours at the auto show, hours online researching and just felt like I cared a whole lot more about my CRV than this dealership did. Well, after being completely frustrated with working with a dealership out of Las Vegas, Nevada, I contacted Ken Garff (Downtown)in Salt Lake City, Utah. I live in the most remote incorporated city in the USA...Ely, Nevada and needed to get a price over the phone. Almost every dealership in America WILL NOT DO THIS. The dealerships know that most people will take their price and "SHOP-IT" for a better deal and the first dealership kind enough to give a price (via phone call) will 100% of the time lose the deal...Now, I was most impressed with Ken Graff was very professional and very sure that their price was the best they had no hesitation in giving me a price over the phone. Well, they were correct their price was exactly what I had asked for and within 24-hours I was the proud owner of a new (2013) Honda Accord LX. Please note; the car I wanted and was given a quote for was a Civic but after seeing the Accord...We had to have it. Even though they had all the paper work prepared and the (Civic)completely detailed they were more then happy to allow us to switch to the Accord and the deal was a breeze. No kidding. Sean Ackroyd was with out any question the most professional and honest-up-front sales person I have ever had the opportunity to work with. He was always able to answer all of our questions. If he did not know the correct answer he found someone to help answer "ALL" of our questions. I need not say morewas the best experience I've had in the my many car buying adventures. 5***** STARS to all at Ken Garff.

We were able to talk freely with the salesmen. I expressed my concerns and even talked the price down to meet our needs. They were very friendly and helpful with all of our problems and concerns. We were trading in a car and buying/leasing a new car. I felt like they were fair with the trade-in. The paper work was long and a lot of signatures, but overall the experience was as good as dealing with car salesmen can be. I really enjoyed their service and expertise.

I loved my experience at Ken Garff Honda. Sean Ackroyd was an excellent salesman. I am a college student who had really terrible luck with cars in the past. I went in and Sean helped me find a perfect car for the perfect price. I stopped by the dealership one day, and a week later I couldn't stop thinking about the car I saw, so I had to go back. I am loving my used 2002 Nissan Altima. Although it was used it looks brand new! I always really liked Ken Garff because of their involvement in the community and education system. They had great service and I love that I finally feel confident with the car I am driving.

With two young girls at home, and a each of us working full time jobs, our time is very limited. Sean's low pressure attitude allowed me to pop in a few times on short notice without ever feeling like I was wasting his time. Once we had settled on the type of used car we were looking for Sean researched many options for us before we even arrived on the lot. The end result was a great car with hardly any time spent at the dealership. When we are ready for our next car I am calling Sean first.

By far the best experience I've ever had at a dealership. I pulled up in my Jeep, and was immediately greeted by Eddie. I told him exactly which used car I had my eye on, and he walked me right to it. He wasn't pushy or rude - unlike a lot of car salesmen I've dealt with in the past. He was polite to my friend and I, and he was very fun to work with, while still maintaining professionalism. We were at the dealership for about 4 hours, and had wonderful service. We also spoke with Taylor, and he was very relaxed and fun. I usually hate car dealerships and salesmen, but I would be happy to go back to this Ken Garff Honda any time.My friend even said to me, "That was literally the easiest car buying experience I've ever been around for."If you want great service from great people, this is the place to go. I'd recommend Eddie to anyone!

Eddie always goes out of his way to get you the best deal and any special features your looking for. During the winter he had a broken foot and went to a lot of trouble helping us get studded snow tires on at a local tire company several blocks away, during the worst snow storm of the season, I can still see him wading in the snow with his foot brace making sure we was able to get home to Evanston Wyo. 70 miles away! Eddie Jeppson was FANTASTIC to work with, and went more than the extra mile to help me get the deal done. Friendly, enthusiastic and hard working, Eddie gave me his undivided and exclusive attention even though the used car I purchased was only a $4000 vehicle and it took over 3 hours to close the deal. His commission could not have been much, and when difficulties with financing arose, he could have blown me off in favor of a bigger fish-but no. He worked with me on financing, ran me to the bank, was late for one of his family member's birthday party, and never stopped being upbeat and happy. He truly made me feel like I was his top priority and his most important customer ever. Thank you so very much, Eddie. You made a potentially frustrating experience smooth, and if I could rate you higher than a 5, I absolutely would. Best salesman I have ever worked with. This was my first new car buying experience, and first time even going into a dealershipto test drive. I was nervous, but Al and Stan were so laid back and absolutely put no pressure on. I knew I wanted a Fit - a base model, manual transmission. When I test drove both the manual, and automatic, there was not even a hint that I should choose the automatic (which costs more). Nor was there any trying to talk me into the more spendy sport model. I couldn't believe that my first experience inside a car dealership was so easy. In the end, they gave me $500 for my 19 yr. old Civic that needed a new engine (I was going to donate it, so $500 off a new Fit was great!) They towed my old car away, and gave me a better deal than any other Utah Honda dealership. The model I wanted was sold to someone else right after I test drove it, and within a month Al had the same model brought to their downtown dealership for me, so I didn't haveto wait long for my car. When I went in to pick it up & sign the paperwork, I didn't even get any sales pitches for accessories! I thought this was awesome, as I was prepared for that - I actually had to tell them I wanted floor mats. And Trevor was great about not pushing the extended warranties as well, although he went over the options with me. There wasn't one moment where I felt uncomfortable or pressured during the entire process.I felt that Al was upfront and honest about pricing, and Stan was great to test drive with and answered my questions thoroughly. Stan's follow-up was also terrific - timely, without pressure, and always considerate. Trevor did the financing without a hitch.The only thing that matches the awesomeness of my 2012 Fit, is the service at Ken Garff.Seriously - go there first if you're thinking of buying a Honda.

I was a little annoyed at first that I could not get a price quote on my car over the phone, but after arriving at the dealership and being told they were very busy, I did eventually get a fair price on my car. The salesman was professional, with the exception of his bragging about how many sales he had made that day. The Manager was very honest and upfront, and the service department fullfilled the work as contracted, and did it on time. Very happy with the new ride, and I think KG downtown gave me the best price.Thank you!

I had taken the 2002 Honda Odyssey to an independent auto repair facility to have snow tires put on the vehicle. They noticed a leak from the front right strut and also recommended changing the timing belt/water pump/seals given the age of the low mileage vehicle, as well as changing spark plugs and a fuel system flush. To verify their analysis and determine whether their pricing was competitive I took the vehicle to Ken Garff Downtown Honda where Service Advisor Jared Royce (who I did not previously know) advised that the fuel system flush was unnecessary, new spark plugs were not needed, and that the independent repair shop had failed to include a "tensioner" (a critical component) with their estimate for replacing the timing belt. He also recommended four-wheel alignment would be advisable after replacing the struts [even though, in his opinion, only one strut really required immediate replacement]. He made it clear that the Honda dealer wanted the business and would adjust its price to be competitive. Given the vehicle age and lack of recent service, he recommended draining and filling the transmission, flushing and replacing the brake fluid, flushing and replacing the engine coolant, and flushing and replacing the power steering fluid. During the work the mechanic observed that the main seal on the oil pan was leaking from the rear (normally an $800 job to replace given the location and work involved). They also discovered a broken rear motor mount, and observed that the stabilizer sway bar end links were loose and needed replacement. Because so much work was being performed on the vehicle, the additional work to replace the rear motor mount and sway bar end links was performed at no charge. Additionally, the dealership has a 15% discount for work performed on Wednesdays. All-in-all, with the 15% discount I saved over $450, as well as had various work done at no charge except for the cost of parts (probably valued at another 5% discount). Additionally, this Honda dealer performed a deluxe wash and mini-detail for free! The car, mechanically, is like new. I would recommend this dealer to anyone. They were honest in their assessments, did not take advantage of my inferior bargaining position given the circumstances (which some other dealer or repair shop might have done), and with their discounts not only came closer to the independent garage's pricing for the originally needed repairs, but discovered important items really in need of repair, which the independent garage missed. I especially would recommend Jared Royce both for his excellent knowledge about Honda vehicles as well as his willingness to discount the work to be competitive as well as to completely discount some additional work because the vehicle already was in a state of disassembly such that additional work could be performed at no cost to me except for parts.

We discussed the price over the phone and dealer manager agreed to a price. Customer service was fine. I would say that price agreed was a good one. After price was agreed, lot of additional fee was added (when I was about to sign). Person who was finishing the deal said the extra fees are mandatory. I went back to internet sales person again saying I would not buy. After few minutes, they agreed to the negotiated price. After signing the papers, he just turned to his monitor without saying anything.he was very unfriendly.

I purchased a 2011 Element online for my daughter (I live in another city). They quoted a "great" price and we made the deal in 5 minutes. It was downhill from there. When my daughter showed up to complete the paperwork, she was told that the quote was a mistake, and that the final cost was much higher (a $1500 mistake). Based on the tone of the ensuing conversations and my "instincts", I believe it was a calculated strategy to increase the price, rather than a mistake. Nonetheless, I was pressed for time, so we still purchased the car, and my daughter loves it. However, I will shop elsewhere next time.

Lucy and Eddie were so great to work with! They were really low pressure and listened to my needs. I really appreciated how nice and helpful and professional both of them were. Eddie was also very fair with me on my trade-in. I wanted more, of course, but I felt like with the trade-in and the fair price on the used CRV, I left there not feeling like I had to give up my house to afford the "new" car. Thank you! We came to look at a used Honda Odyssey. We originally looked at a 2005, but we werent exactly happy with hit. Jayson tried all that he could to make us a happy with the van, however it just didnt work out. He was nice enough to show us a 2006 that was a little out of our price range, but was much nicer and more of what we were looking for. He was awesome to work with, and he worked us out a deal that we could afford. We ended up buying the 2006 Odyssey, the nicer of the two and we left extremely happy. We highly recommend for others to work with Jayson because he really seems like he cares. He did all he could in his power to have us leave happy, and he succeeded. He is awesome!! Also, the cleanliness of the facility was wonderful. They even had a large glass enclosed area for kids to play, which I give two thumbs up to.

I had a price in mind and Garf came within $300 of my wishes, I had done my reasearch and was firm. Lucy seemed genuinely happy and interested in the outcome. I came into Ken Garff just to browse used cars not expecting to buy but after seeing a car Mazda 3 that we fell in love with we had a decision to make, after finding out about the thorough inspection of used cars that Ken Garff does we were closer to buying, then our salesman Jayson was able to get us into the car for below blue book we just couldn't pass up this deal, I would recommend Ken Garff Honda to anyone.

Helped my son buy a car from this dealership. Bought a new 2010 Honda Civic for $17,800.00 roughly OTD. I'm in Southern California so did this over the phone. Sent in $11,000.00 so my son could get 3.9% Honda Financing as offered to me. Found out when my son got home and finally sent me a copy of the contract, that they sold him 16.59% interest loan. Can you imagine that? 16.5% percent with $11,000.00 down on a $17,800.00 car. THEY TOTALLY SCREWED ME. Tomorrow I'll send in a check to pay off this loan. Hopefully that will cut into their kickback. Definately won't do business with any of these guys again.

Internet sales department was fantastic. They went above and beyond normal service practices to show me the car and arrange a test drive. The sales staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, without being too pushy. I would definately buy another car from them.

Prices are ridicules expensive and they dont even do the work right. A few incidents happens to me: 1st. I took my honda civic ex 2000 coupe for service and some how they mixedup the window on the driver side, it was not closing properly and they told me than thats how i gave to them which was not tru. 2nd another time after the service when i was about to leave the engine light was on and it was not on when i got there. they did not want to fixt at first, and they want me to pay so they could of fix it, it was horrible i had to fight literally.3rd one, the samething happen about engine light on next time. this time i talked the supper visor, he was ruth and very unprofesional. I never went back.

Before coming to Ken Garff Honda, my husband and I visited one other dealership that frightened us away with high-pressure sales tactics and ridiculously high interest rates on financing (rates that suspiciously started to shrink as soon as we walked away).In fact, our previous experience left us a bit nervous to shop around for a new car.All of our fears disappeared as soon as we arrived at Ken Garff Honda. Trevor W. greeted us with a handshake and allowed us to swoon over a Honda Fit showroom model to our heart's content. He did not loom over us or try to sell us on a more expensive car or fancier features. He simply let us experience the car we came to see.He answered questions, and when we were ready, he took us out for a test drive. Again, he let us experience the Fit for ourselves, answered our questions, and really let the car speak for itself--no high-pressure tactics! We made it clear we wanted the car, and he was more than willing to work with us on finding the right model and financing for our budget. In fact, he helped us to score a fantastic deal on financing by steering (bad pun!) us to the 2010 model instead of the 2011. We really appreciated how he told us the *real* interest rates up front, instead of playing games by starting high like the other dealership. Trevor also allowed us plenty of time and space to discuss the car with one another and settle on details. The bonus was the fair offer for our trade-in. The financing department was equally wonderful, and I wish I could remember the name of the man who helped us. He deserves kudos as well. He explained everything thoroughly and made sure we understood every detail. When we had a question a week or so later, he promptly returned our call. We will always come back to Ken Garff for future Hondas!

Great service and super price. Very responsive to all our questions and really worked with us to make sure we got the car we wanted (in terms of package, color, etc.) at an amazing price. Not only that but the dealership was very fair about the trade-in of our old car. We felt we got a fair price for our old car, without any hassles, and an amazing price for our new Honda. Brandon also went out of his way to work with us in customizing the features of the navigation, radio, bluetooth, etc., so that we were set with all that before even leaving the lot. Awesome job Honda Ken Garff!

went to ken garff honda downtown in may, spoke with garth he was very understanding and knew exactly what i wanted. two days later bought a 2007 honda accord from garth. on oct 30th got in a bad car accident that totaled my car. that i walked away with a couple of bruises and a sore back. got a voicmail from garth telling me he heard i got in an accident and was hoping i was ok. on dec 11th i went back to ken garff honda and told garth about what happened and told him about my situation (i also had a baby on nov 21st) so budget was really tight this time around. i was looking at a 2009 nissan altima 2.5s that was in my price range. informed garth i would have to give it some thought. he was patient and willing to let me think about it. came back on dec 13th and garth was not there i found out his kid was sick that morning and had brandon taking care of me that day. i knew brandon from before and he was very good at what he does. (knowing that garth was gone for the reason of a sick child, made me have more respect for ken garff honda and making me more wanting to work with them, since i had my son on nov 21st i know the importance of family and taking care of your kids) brandon was awesome helping us close the deal and getting me into the car i wanted. i have had problems with america worst before and chris was very helpfull in finding the right credit union to go through with a great rate.

This was easily the best experience I've ever had buying a car. Trevor is easy to talk to and willing to create an easy and painless energy during the negotiations...which is in large part the reason we bought the car. I would recommend Ken Garff Honda and more specifically Trevor to anyone.

I had heard that Ken Garff Honda Downtown was known for their great customer service. They were right! Mark Mamulski (sales consultant) was very nice and helpful even after I bought my car and had questions the follow day about specific things in regards to the car. Everyone (including the service department) was very nice and did what they could to find the answers to my questions. Customer service isn't what it used to be no matter where you go. It's as if "customer service" doesn't exist anymore. Not true at Ken Garff Honda Downtown. THANK YOU to everyone who helped make my car buying experience a pleasant one!

Scott Layton has been excellant to work with. Always the professionsl by calling through out taking time to help with any issues.Adam has been terrific as well, whenever I show up at service he greats me like a valued customer, again much the same as Scott. I always feel that my service will be done as needed and the car returned with wash.Too bad about your losing Slater, I really enjoyed dealing with him when I had my 2006 Ridgeline, just the simple things he did I noticed. I have purchase 3 Hondas from Ken Garff starting back in 1976-77 with a CVCC, many other brands have come and gone out of my driveway, and as of the last couple of years a 2009 Honda Fit Sport. Driving the Fit is just plain fun and the mileage is terrific with well over 40 MPG. as for the why reccomend this dealership the overall experience has been very good. I am concerned now with the management changes in sales that you have lost the reason and focus for selling Hondas. Others I know said it now is like any outher "mouse House" dealership. They went else where to look since they had been down south for the Spader shafting.

We had been to a couple of dealers looking for a good used car. After we met Trevor we knew we had found someone we could trust to help us find a reliable car for the best possible price. We felt Trevor went above and beyond to ensure that the car we purchased looked almost new. The ride was a little rough on the freeway and Trevor had the mechanics make a few adjustments and the car has driven like a dream ever since.We saw the car in the evening and by noon the next day it was delivered in perfect condition. This dealership only affirms the general opinion that car salesmen are the scum of earth. I got a great base price on my vehicle from an auto purchasing program but then the dealership totally gouged me on the optional equipment they had installed. They first tried to charge me $1,100 for side steps that can be purchased on the internet for $500 then would not come down from $900, saying I was getting them "at cost". When I went to sign the final paperwork there was a $150 charge for "door edge guards". After getting home I looked at the doors and found that they simply had a 1/2" strip of clear vinyl tape on them. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!

My appointment was 2:00 p.m.,July, 27th, 2010, I drove 220 miles to do so (my choice).I was greeted and set up for test drive by Taylor J.,with whom all my correspondancehad taken place with.Upon my return for unexplained reasons I was handed off to Garth,and 5 minutes later to Kris, who informed me Taylor had given me an incorrect price.($18,089) for a 2010 Honda EX, civic.After some backroom paper shuffling I was toldthat they would honor the price for the remainder of the day, BUUUUUUT, not at the .09% that I had informed Mr. Taylor that I needed in a previous contact.To get that car would have to be sold at a higher price. Honda's incentive program dealing with the .09% financing clearly states, the dealer sets the sales prices,so what,s up with that? To listen to the sales people they are paying you to take their cars, makes you wonder how they survive. Paul Jeannotte

I really did have a good car buying experience for once and he helped me get a really good deal. I purchased the extended warranty on my 2005 Honda Civic. After moving between houses, I lost my contract for the extended warranty. When I realized the papers were lost, I called Ken Garff Honda Downtown to see if I needed a copy of the papers, to verify which address of mine they had on file, and to see when I could receive the extended warranty refund (as I had not used the warranty in over five years). It took Leland Jones, one of their Finance Managers who their Front Desk Clerk directed me to, four days to return my numerous voicemails. When he finally did so, he informed me that they were in the process of changing software programs and he could not immediately look-up my information, but he would retrieve the information and call me within a day or two. A few more days passed, so I sent a follow-up email through their general online email inquiry. I almost immediately received an email from Al Kramer, their Internet Sales Manager, who informed me that he could not assist me, but I could call Leland Jones again or try Chris Lenker, who is also a Finance Manager. I left both Leland Jones and Chris Lenker voicemails, in attempt to follow-up on my situation. Chris Lenker called me back the following day, and reiterated what Leland Jones had told me the prior week: they are switching software systems and need time to retrieve my files. In addition, he explained that once the extended warranty anniversary date hit, I had only 30 days afterward to send a fax request for the refund. This sent me into panic mode because nobody had previously explained this to me. In addition, because Leland Jones seemed to be avoiding returning my voicemails, I began to wonder if perhaps he was waiting for my time to run-out, so I would not longer qualify for the warranty. My thoughts were, obviously Honda knew they owe me the money, so why do I have to request the refund? Should it not be automatically sent? Maybe this extended warranty is just a scam to make more money off of their new vehicles? Despite my worries, I gave Chris Lenker the benefit of the doubt, and I trusted him when he said he would retrieve the documents I needed and call me back to follow-up. Two more days passed without any further follow-up on their part. I left Chris Lenker and Leland Jones more voicemails; informing them I had to go out of town for a couple of days and wanted the matter resolved before having to leave. Still, nothing. I went on my vacation, and when I got back, I saw Ken Garff Honda Downtown had called a couple of times while I was gone but did not leave a voicemail (my voicemail system was broken). I was fatigue with being thrown in a circle, so my husband and I decided to visit Chris Lenker and Leland Jones in their office, rather than leaving yet another voicemail! My husband and I drove to Salt Lake City (we live in Kamas), and we were able to talk to Chris Lenker (Leland was unavailable). Chris Lenker was immediately defensive, and began telling me if I were to sue them over the matter, their attorney would only use the contract as a dismissal of the lawsuit. You did sign it, he told me. Keep in mind; I did not previously mention a lawsuit to Chris Lenker. Guilty minds tend to over-explain, my mother used to tell me. Anyway, I told Chris that perhaps the salesman who sold the vehicle to me when I was a mere 18 years old ought to be more cautious of my age and inexperience with purchasing vehicles. He seemed to not care about my age and inexperience at the time I purchased the vehicle because he only repeated, Well, you did sign it, and thats all that matters in court. I began to wonder how he even knew I signed this contract when he had previously told me he could not retrieve it. After all, if he had not found it yet, how can he verify its existence? I made a joke to him about how perhaps I SHOULD file a lawsuit because that might speed-up his ability to retrieve the contract. He replied with, Look, its Saturday. There is nothing I can do to help you today. Heres Signets phone number. You can call them Monday and see if they can help you. Signet, apparently, is the company that issues Ken Garff Hondas extended warranties. This is the first I had heard of a separate company. I immediately began to wonder why, if Signet could help me, Leland Jones did not give me their phone number the first time I spoke with him? Furthermore, why did not Chris give me their phone number the first time I spoke to him, or Al Kramer? Needless to say, I was slightly irritated that nobody could help me for two more days, but I figured it did not matter too much since I had already documented and recorded all previous voicemails and phone conversations with Honda. After all, I was thinking, Chris Lenker already seems to think this will turn into a lawsuit, so maybe I should just talk to my lawyer rather than being thrown in Hondas circle of avoidance? Anyway, I called Signet that following Monday, and was greeted by a very friendly lady named Vickie. She was immediately able to pull-up my information by my first and last name. She informed me my extended warranty is not even due to expire until April 27th of 2011, and she immediately offered to send me a copy of the contract. In addition, she provided information as to how I can apply to receive the refund next year when it becomes available to me. After all of this, I feel very irritated and upset at the poor customer service I experienced at Ken Garff Honda Downtown. I understand Leland Jones and Chris Lenker are Finance Managers and their jobs are time consuming, but my time is important, too, and they wasted a lot of it over what has turned-out to be a simple matter. In my opinion, if their computer software system limits their ability to pull-up past customer history, they should immediately direct their inquiring customers to Signet, rather than treating their customer with avoidance, disrespect, and passive aggressive behavior. Maybe Robert (Bob) Garff and/or John Garff need to better train their managers and employees in customer service because it is apparent their qualifications and skills are lax. I absolutely love my Honda Civic. It is a dependable, superb quality vehicle, but I will never again purchase a vehicle from any Ken Garff dealership because it seems their managers care more about potential customers, rather than keeping past customers happy. Word of the wise, if you find yourself in a similar situation; avoid calling Ken Garff employees at all costs because you will only find yourself frustrated. Call Signet instead; their employees actually care.

They misquote blue book on purpose. THey do not give you the carfax report. They do not send you with the cars list of features as stated on the contract. They try to increase the price after you have talked to the salesman. The salesman disappears after you have agreed on the price and your are left waiting for a quarter of an hour trying to find someone to help you.Buy from a private owner. Get the car inspected. Never go to a dealer unless he is family. Especially not these guys.

I took an odyssey to be inspected by Ken Garff before I bought it. They charged me $110 dollars and said everything looked great. THE DAY I DROVE IT HOME, we had problems. Brakes need to be replaced, steering wheel pump needs replaced, and total we are out two thousand dollars!(check engine light came on and ken garff wouldn't even look at it without charging me) Ken Garff service claims they couldn't have known,(really?! Then what did I pay you for?) wouldn't even look at the vehicle without charging me AGAIN to even find out what was wrong even though I already paid them $110 dollars for nothing. CHECK THEIR BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU REPORT! I WISH I WOULD HAVE! They were complete JERKS! If this is the way they all do business, I would steer clear!
