Had an excellent experience recently buying a new Rav-4. Sam was extremely helpful and was easy to reach with questions. I was in an accident and totaled my old car, so I needed a new one ASAP and Sam made the process very simple. We bought a Tundra from him a couple years ago and he was just as helpful back then. 100% would recommend Kendall Toyota.

My family and I went there yesterday and went to Frank Cruise. We had a wonderful experience. First, there was never any pressure to buy or not buy. Second, he was knowledgeable about the vehicles and didn’t start to sell us on the bells and whistles. Third, he worked with us and was very transparent about the process, the numbers and laid out our options. Fourth, he was willing to refer us to a different dealer when looking for vehicles. Lastly he went the extra mile literally and took my husband and son to their barber and picked them up. He was a recommendation from a friend and now I see why. He’s my recommendation to you!

Service is pretty bad.Everyone there seems like a trainee. Took 40 minutes to schedule appointment for recall service. Last couple of times I've been service was slow, not done on time. I try to avoid having service there whenever I can.

I scheduled a Sunday morning appointment due to work schedule. The service rep was very helpful and competent. The service was scheduled for 9:00 A.M., they took me on time and call for me to pick up at 10:30 A.M. All work was completed and the service rep was very polite and efficient. I've bee going to Kendall's for years and will continue to do so!

First foreign car i have ever own, Rav 4. had pull the report on car fax and the Rav was pursued from Kendall and had some recall that need fix. was also going to get a new transmission filter and the deferential fluid replace (500 dollar quot) stop by the Dealer and they had the parts in stock, set up appointment for 10-20 at 9:20 AM, did not hear from them so i called they had lost my paper work and lost my KEY to my Rav4 ... they try to bloow me off with this and that, Andre said that this is the first time they had seen that VIN number had be to there shop Car fax said that the Rav4 was pursued from them and that they had done service on the Rav4 they did give me a free oil change (had ask them not to had just did one and used Mobil 1 with filter)... They had one change to make me customer and they could not have done a worst job... i will be doing the rule of ten about my experience at the KENDALL dealer ship P.S they found my key will not be going back there

I was scheduled for oil change and fuel injection cleaning at 3 pm. When I arrived 3 pm and I was told that I only could get my oil changed on that day. As for fuel injection cleaning, Kendal Toyota didn't even have the equipment to do it on that day. I was told to come back two weeks later when they got the the equipment and test this service first. They couldn't tell me the price first because they never did this service before. I own Toyota cars for more than twenty years and I have gone to at least 10 Toyota dealers. I did at least 5 times fuel injection cleaning for my Toyota cars and this is the first dealer doesn't have the equipment and never did it before which really gave me a shock.I was in this dealer almost 4 hours for an oil change which could be done in an hour. The service advisor who met me to take my order just couldn't be found for my rest three and half hours there. All I can say about this dealer is if you want more than oil change don't go to this dealer in the afternoon because the schedule person doesn't know what she's doing and you will have to go back again. Good luck for your nightmare and shocks for this deaker. There is even no free bottle water offered by this dealer. Bring your own bottle water.

As far as the service goes it was so so I was passed from service advisor to service advisor until I got Micheal Kim when I bring my truck in he is the go to guy he doesn't let it leave the shop until it's up to his standards and let me tell you I have never met anyone with any higher. While he was absent my truck left the shop with not only the matainance light on but every light that can be alumanited twice! In my opinion he should be the Service manager. And if he was a mechanic he would be the only one that I would let touch my truck. The only reason I still go to Kendall Toyota is because Of Mr Kim! Kendall made a good choice when they hired him. If they were smart they would do anything in there power to make sure he never leaves this company. I would be very proud of my company if more of employees were like him So KUDOS Kendall you did something right

Okay I have to be truthfull the sales manager was pointless to deal with and would barely cut me any deals. But on the Flip side our salesman Kimball made up the difference. He kept his promises and apologized for not being able to help on some of the negotiations as the truck I was trying to get into was a hot item and the Sales Manager would not cut me any slack. Anyways Kimball kept me calm and by the end of the day he was the last person I saw when the deal was done. A little agitated by the sales manager but definitely pleased working with Kimball. I would highly recommend anyone buying a Toyota to go see Kimball at Kendall Toyota of Anchorage. Awesome experience working with him.

Overall, this most recent service experience was very good. The purpose of this service experience was to install a new accessory drive serpentine belt, which was determined to be necessary from my inspection and determination. In my opinion, the condition of the original belt was such that it should have been noticed when i had the car serviced by Kendal at 120k miles, and not by my inspection and determination at 130k miles.I purchased the vehicle from your predecessor.

It was easy to schedule my appointment on line and even when I had to change it, it was simple. I arrived about 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Was greeted and told a Service Rep would be with me right away. I had some things in my cargo space I needed to transfer to another vehicle. They helped me with this. I got signed in and spoke with Norman me Service Rep. He was awesome, He listened to what I was looking to get done and assured me it would be done. Also asked about my blue tooth connection that I was having problems with Google Maps. He said he would look at that also.They called me less then 2 hours later and it was done.

Finally, I am seeing some continuity in the service advisor staff. I have dealt with Mark Sterling on my last two consecutive visits, and he is a breath of fresh air. I have criticized this dealership in the past about the "revolving door" I experienced with relatively inexperienced/ineffective service advisors. I suspect that some of those individuals were either inherently inefficient, in terms of time management skills, or they simply had more work than they could handle effectively to provide good customer service. I have seen "war story" reviews on the web in past years that spoke of service customers having to wait for weeks when needing a part that was not stocked. I lived that horror last year. Thankfully, having read the negative reviews, I was prepared to be my own best advocate. I had to birddog the process, dealing with a service advisor (no longer there, thankfully) who was nearly impossible to reach, who would make commitments to call me back, and then renege on them. It was only after I had allowed several days beyond the original time commitment to expire (the whole time without my vehicle), that I grew tired of the inaction, and physically visited the dealership to "lean" on this service advisor. Lo and behold, the parts had arrived several days earlier, and were sitting somewhere in the parts department. I am detailing this experience for the benefit of any other consumers who encounter anything like I did, OR anyone researching dealerships for their service business. I would stress that from what I have seen over the past year, things are much improved in Kendall Toyota's service department. There is more continuity of personnel; AND they have recruited some heavy hitters to augment the team. I had a lengthy discussion with Andre Morris, the service manager a few days ago, when I had my Avalon in for service. When it comes to customer service, Andre "gets it". He appears to have gone beyond simply hanging around the dealership and has studied customer service quality; AND is cascading the information to his service advisors. While conversing with Andre, I was thrilled to see Brooks Ward, who I had dealt with at Cal Worthington on purchasing a remote start for my wife's Ford truck, walk up, wearing a Kendall vest. We recognized each other, and it was like "old home week". My sense is that Kendall Toyota is newly committed to improving customer service. I told Andre my story of having been a Toyota owner since 1974. I have purchased 3 new Toyotas and 4 used Toyotas over the years, in 3 different states. I had such a positive experience with the service advisor and technicians at my dealer in Colorado that I coaxed my parents into purchasing a brand new Avalon and brand new Camry. After I left Colorado, my parents continued the relationship with this precious service advisor, who has since retired, and their extreme satisfaction, combined with my father's vast network of friends, led to introducing countless others to the joy of owning a Toyota. I have strongly suspected that some key individual in Kendall's leadership did not appreciate the key role that the service department plays in driving repeat business and referrals. It appears that either there has been a leadership change or an epiphany in the perception of the importance a high quality service department plays in driving sales production on the showroom floor. I hope the salespeople at Kendall Toyota are appreciative of this significant improvement, and how it will make their job easier over time!

The Toyota Camry I've purchased 3 weks ago has a bearing problem that Toyota service has not been able to fix as of yet. While they have been accomodating in scheduling service appointments, I came back to the shop 3 times now, and the problem is still not fixed. If they are not able to identify and fix a Toyota issue, than who can?? This experience makes me seriouslt doubt Toyota service capabilities.

This was my first new car buying experience by myself. I was dreading it, thinking it was going to be painful on my pocketbook, test my patience and drive me to drink on a Sunday morning. (Not literally but you get the picture) Boy was I wrong! Not at Kendall Toyota! I absolutely adore my car salesman, the finance team and service crew. Even the gals up front who answer the phones were quick to smile and ask if they could assist me. Everyone was extremely informative of not only the autos features and benefits I was looking at, but the whole process was explained to me in detail and carried out smooth and efficient. I'm a salesperson by trade and not once did I get that, I'm being sold to by a slimy salesperson feeling. They believe in their products and company, they're happy to be there and it shows. I admit, I shopped around other dealerships before ending up here. They left me with a bad taste in my mouth, acting like they were doing me a favor by allowing me test drive a car. Again, not at Kendall! I was guarded walking in(I'm a single female) and smiling and relaxed when I left in my beautiful new Camry! I can not say enough GOOD about this entire dealership. I actually can't wait to buy another car from them in a couple years!

We needed a regular oil change/maintenance, plus needed our vehicle checked and serviced for its first Alaskan winter as we are new to living in the Anchorage area. We were pleased with the professional service we received at Kendall Toyota (we are long time Toyota owners with a Highlander, Tundra, and Corolla.) This is the best service we have experienced. The Staff listened carefully, our Service Manager double checked that things were done the way we had talked about when we initially arrived and the team seemed to have everything well streamlined. We will be going back.

Justin was my service rep. and he is the first one to explain to me that my synthetic oil was good for 10,000 vs. 5,000 miles and I was actually NOT due for an oil change. I had a running light that was out and I had that replaced as long as I was in the shop. The turn around was quick. I waited in the lounge area while the work was done and I was comfortable and enjoyed the warm chocolate chip cookies.I have the extended maintenance plan I am so thankful that I do. I am happy with the attention and service I receive. Thanks.

I scheduled my wife's 2002 Highlander for a check up. I thought the timing chain needed to be replaced and wanted the front end checked for wear. (138000 miles) To my surprise the 1000+ dollar scheduled service cost just 84 dollars. The service tech said he would not recommend replacement of timing belt as it was in good shape. In addition the front end and belts do not need work. You can trust this service department and their representivities.

Andre the service manager in charge addressed my concerns about wobbly steering after the 100,000 service and oil change done about 6 days earlier. I appreciated his quick call back and arranging to fit me in for a recheck and having one of his very experienced mechanics (Beau) test drive the car. I was reassured that the steering seemed to be in order because the problem did not recur.I never did get a call back from the original service person who took care of the car when I left a message to voice my concern. When I left a message for the manager in charge later, Andre called me back within half an hour on the same day and told me to bring the car back for a check.

When purchasing Toyota Cars was okay, dealing with the salesmen. But when it come to service setup (scheduling) etc. when it's time to get oil change. There should be available loaner as those maintenance service can take longer and for us to have to wait until done. Most of us have another things we have to do. Offer loaner to those who cars is getting service should be available. And you might can get all your employee on the same page as I called multiple times and stated loaners are available

I bought my Tacoma from Kendall two years ago and the customer service I have received from them is outstanding. The salesman was awesome, and every service center employee I have dealt with has been outstanding as well. You can tell that Kendall makes customer service and customer satisfaction a top priority. I have never had such a great experience with a dealership before, and I've dealt with several. They make you feel like family. Free oil changes and service comes with the vehicle purchase, and even though that has ended, I will continue to visit Kendall for my oil change and service needs.

Kendall undertook the repairs necessary to correct a recall problem and also some ordinary maintenance at the same time. They went out of their way to make it convenient to us even though it meant some inconvenience to them. The service men were fast however, there was water in my fog light on a truck I have owned for only 6 months. When asked about it they told me a "rock must have hit it" and tried to sell me a new one, that I would have to pay for and the warranty wouldn't cover it or labor. They could have at least drained the water out of it. I haven't found a hole in it from a rock yet. My truck isn't ever driven on the highway or dirt roads....hmmmmm. I also paid extra money to have the service package on my truck so that I don't have to pay for oil changes. I already drive an HOUR to their shop. Big mistake. If I had known this is how they would treat their customers I would have stayed local. Shame, I was going to trade that truck in on a Tundra, I still will, but not with them.

The patience everyone had with me trading in first the used venza for a new one and then the new one for a used Highlander was exemplary, however, I cheated myself out of thousands of dollars by doing that. I very much disliked the Venza and it was not a good fit for someone of my age. Now I have a vehicle I like, but find that it also feels like not a very expensive car with hollow doors, an antenna that does not work an hour away from Anchorage and a radio that you cannot see because it is so dark with small numbers. I always thought Toyota was a prestigeous car to drive because they are so costly, I do like driving the Highlander so far and hope it serves me well this winter in the snow and ice. All the staff are nice and everyone was so helpful and kind. That is a plus, when a lot of other car companies didn't even give me the time of day. I guess they figured I was too old to deal with. thanks to all.

If I had not asked about car after three hours I would have been there even longer. My wife brought my truck in for an oil change. She did not realize that they forgot to turn off the Maintenance reminder light. I emailed Toyota to inform them of this. I immediately received an email response indicating that I would be receiving a phone call. The phone call never came. The maintence light issue was not a big deal. However, there was no follow through phone call. The lack of follow through speaks poorly of their customer service.

I needed a pickup with enough room in the cabin to put a child's car seat. These requirements meant I pretty much knew which vehicle I was going to be leaving with. It was basically an oil change and check most of the 120,000,illegal list but did not need tires rotated or many other things changed for the 2010 Prius. Cost is comparable if I went to a general oil change place except I know that when I go to Mr. Lube or Midas they also do a quick vacuum of the interior and wipe down included in the cost. This doesn't happen at Toyota. Just a nice extra service as you have the vacuums that work well for interiors. It also took over 2 hours and I am usually out in 20-30 mins at the other places although I know they did check the brakes which added to the time.

Mark, our service advisor, was very friendly and accommodating when I pointed out a service that was completed without our approval. A mistake was made at the time of scheduling and once I pointed that out to Mark, he quickly removed the error from our invoice. I gave the quality of repairs 3 stars because the mechanics didn't question the fact that the service order stated to "rotate the tires" despite the fact that the tires are pretty much brand new. Thanks to Mark, we were not charged for the error, but I would think that the mechanics would question something that seemed unnecessary before completing the task. Also, they REALLY need to get a water cooler in the lobby area as well, the drinking fountain is not sufficient.

After our arrival we need to have the car serviced and was unable to get an appointment for two weeks. Took a chance an drove in and they took the car right in and gave us great service. Our salesperson knew exactly what we were looking for and was never pushy about making a decision on the spot. Different models were offered and we were explained the differences, along with the pricing differences. We opted for a brand new RAV4 XLE, that had never even been test driven. We leased a Prius c and did most of the process over the phone, which only took about 30 minutes. Our new vehicle was prepped and ready for us...the lease documents were ready when we arrived at the dealership...so all we had to do was sign and drive away. I had to be on a flight that night and the lease deal was going to expire the next day, so they made it happen fast. We were literally on the lot for about an hour total. Toyota Kendall knows how to meet the customer's needs!

Repair work was done well at a reasonable cost.Customer communications need improvement. I was called during the day on the wrong phone number (home number instead of the cell number I listed as my contact number for this visit. Luckily I just happened to be home when they called the home number. Unfortunately, they had called to discuss the repair status of another customer's vehicle. Fast forward an hour before their closing time...still no word on the status of our minor repair. When I explained to the advisor that we needed to know ASAP whether the vehicle would be ready that day, He didn't seem to understand that we didn't want to drive across town to the dealership without knowing if the car would be ready before they closed, especially since our home is in the opposite direction. This was all complicated by every conversation with the service advisor being almost inaudible. I don't know whether this is a reflection on their internal phone system (receptionist was clear and intelligible), possibly high background noise in the service area, or if the advisor wasn't speaking into the microphone. He seemed to be able to hear me OK.

We've bought two cars from this dealer, sales people are friendly, and the buying process was painless. However service department is an absolute nightmare, first problem is the near impossibility of getting anyone on the phone. Out of the last 10 times I've called for service two were never picked up at the front desk and of the other 8 transferred 6 have gone to voice mails. Out of 8 voice mails left at various departments I have never once received a call back. Then onto the service, I've brought in my vehicle 5 times for non scheduled maintenance problems. During 3 of those "fixes" they broke something else that I'm left to find later, one problem caused by the service department left me stranded and locked out of my vehicle forcing me to get a tow. One time they installed my part on the wrong vehicle and on top of that just handed me someones keys! If I hadn't correct them I could have just drove off with someones car! After telling them they messed up the job suddenly was going to take a whole day. During normal scheduled maintenance I was once told my car would take an hour to be done and that they would come get me. I waited in the service area and no one came around for over 2 hours. Finally tracked someone down and they told me it had been done for 45 minutes! They knew I was waiting! I've tried asking for the service manager four times and each times got a voice mail. Once again, leaving four voice mails I never got a call back. The last time I was in for service I was very upset, and the service agent said they would have the service manager call me back. Here we are a week later with no call.Now that the Toyota care warranty is over on both of our family vehicles we will -never- be returning to the service department. I also doubt, even with how much we enjoy our vehicles that we will ever purchase another from this dealership.The only nice thing I have to say is about the sales people, they were always professional and courteous. Maybe the sales force should teach customer service how to provide customer service.I've had to go back twice since my above problems for warranty issues and the service continues to be absolutely terrible. Every single time without fail when I go in the service is horrid. Even if I love the Toyota brand I will never buy a new Toyota from Kendall ever again. The next time something breaks under warranty I may just eat the cost and fix it at a local shop.

Was car shopping and went to many auto dealership from used to new. Finally settle down to Kendall Toyota. I've owned a Toyota before and it was great but my heart wanted a ford instead but eventually came back to Toyota because of the pricing. Funny how no salesman approach me and my brother so we went inside and someone asked if we've been help and we said no. Immediately he helped us. Test drove the 2015 tundra and loved it. While doing paperwork and getting the financing, I walked outside for some fresh air and all the sudden all the salesmen approach me and wanted to help me. Told them sorry I'm already in the process of buying my new tundra. The service was ok, nothing specular. I would of ranked the service much highly but in my opinion the salesman of course was thinking more about the sales overall. Then again, that is his job is to sell me something. Overall, I am happy with my new truck and that's all that matter.

From the time I pulled into the parking lot until I left the dealership with a new car, this experience was by far the best of any dealership I have dealt with. The two salesman (Jason & Jordan) went above and beyond to find the exact model of car I wanted. Tony in finance was a breeze to work with. I had a wheel/tire rotation at Kendall on a new Tacoma 2 weeks before scheduled maintenance (5K mile visit). During second visit it was discovered that a lug nut was missing on the custom wheels on the truck. Mechanic stated it was not possible that it went missing on the visit for wheel/tire rotation. He seemed indignant that I even questioned him on it. How would it not be plausible? I had to go to a local tire shop to get a replacement lug nut (American Tire on Old Seward who gave me one and wouldn't accept payment for it-kudos to American Tire!) and bring the truck back to Kendall to have them put it on. I wasn't trying to make a big deal out of the issue but for the mechanic to demonstrate such arrogance was not necessary. I've bought two new vehicles from them in the last 18 months. This was my first bad experience at Kendall. Not a terrible one but I don't expect an attitude from a mechanic who acts insulted if you ask a simple question. Kendall could learn a thing or two from American Tire on customer service. Five stars to American Tire. One star to Kendall on this visit.

I purchased a brand new 2015 4 Runner TRD Pro. These trucks are limited production so I had to put a $1000 deposit on the next available. After a few weeks, my salesman gave me a heads up that it was about to arrive and we agreed on a day and time to meet at the dealership. The negotiation process was fairly quick and I was given a very fair price on my trade-in which saved me the hassle of selling it myself. All-in-all, nice folks and excellent service.

Brought my tacoma in for an alignment and oil change and left the place with no air filter and my truck stalled at a busy intersection for 20 minutes. I had to call a former employee to help get my truck started again, and to top it off my truck still pulls to the right! I called the service advisor and service manager and all I got was voicemail service for three days! Much better service when Nye was running the place.

Excellent experience through and through.I will go to and buy vehicles from Kendall Toyota in Anchorage again because of the service department.All members of the service department are kind, thoughtful, respectful and timely. I never have to wait too long. I always stay in the waiting area which makes the entire difference. I live 50 miles away from the service area and it is generally an inconvenience to drop off and need to be picked up later in the day. Being able to wait while my vehicle is serviced in a timely manner makes the difference between going to Kendall or choosing to have it serviced elsewhere.

Outstanding customer service throughout the entire process of the purchase of my 2015 TRD PRO 4Runner. All the modifications I wanted were done at the dealership - and look as if they were factory installed. The dealerships tech Jonathan mounted and wired all my Rigid Industries LED lights for me. Most people could not even find the new wiring for the lights under the hood or the dash - FANTASTIC job!

I just had an oil change but the whole process of dropping off my car and picking it up was smooth. I also like the cleanliness of the shop. The only thing that Kendall doesn't do for you when you drop off a car purchased from them is to vacuum it out. My Aunt, who bought a Toyota Prius from her dealer in WA state, gets the full treatment of car wash and vacuuming when she takes hers in for service. I can understand not doing the car wash in Alaska (instead they give you a coupon to go do it yourself), but the vacuuming would be a nice touch.

My only criticism is in the area of computer files. Both my wife and I have Toyotas; we both use the dealership. Since the time we had two Toyotas, there has been confusion on which of us to call for which car. I sometimes get calls on her car, and vice versa; and sometimes I get them all. I bought my Solora in to be serviced and while waiting for the shuttle to take me home. While waiting on the shuttle I brosed the showcase floor. Saw several cars that caught my attention and a Salesman came to assist me. Shortly after taking with the Salesman the shuttle driver called my cell and I asked if I could stay and he take me home later! I test drove two cars after which my Salesman said that he would check to see if the manager would take additional monies on the 2014 Scion as their inventory was very limited. The salesman brought me an answer that was pleasing to my ears. Then it came down to the interest rate for the vehicle. He tossed the rate around a few times and then called one of me 3 banks. The rates the Salesman was ok, but I said let me call my primary bank to see what interest rate they were offering on new cars. I was told they were running w special rate of 1.99%. I was flooded and my Salesman contacted Coporate and they offered to match my banks rate! End of story car sold

Took my 2010 Highlander to Kendall Toyota for 45,000 mile service. The customer service rep came and found me to talk to me about my vehicle while I was waiting to tell me my tires didn't need to be rotated because wear was exactly the same on all four, which would save me money. He was very polite and respectful. It was a positive experience all round for me.

I came into the dealership with, what seemed to me to be, a complex situation. It required both financial and personal finesse!! It was challenging for me to ask for what I needed and a difficult emotional moment when it seemed that the answer was "no." Still, Tony would not give up on me and with his help and Jason's support, we were able to get me into a new car at a payment I could handle. This freed me from a previous situation which was the ultimate goal. Bravo, team Kendall! It was a very large moment for me and they appeared to really understand the importance of it as well. I so appreciate their willingness, their patience, and their creativity. It was a very good day. (FYI: the question below about why I visited the dealer doesn't have the answer option for why I was there. I chose an option because I had to, however, none of those three are applicable for me. We came into the dealership with two totally different ideas of what we wanted. My husband had wanted a Tundra and I had wanted a Rav 4, it seemed at the time like a compromise could not be reached. Then Kevin our salesman showed us the 4Runner, it was a vehicle that we both loved and we bought it straight of the showroom floor. Kendall Toyota provided is with an awesome shopping experience and an equally great salesman. The level of knowledge and professionalism demonstrated was stellar. The customer service was great. The lady who met me at my car was friendly and enthusiastic. I called the service department to schedule an oil change for my new 2015 Tacoma and was told they could get me in for two weeks. I was pretty amazed. I have owned Toyotas since 1979 and never experienced this. At least with Nye Toyota they had a lube express set up which got me in and out pretty quickly. Kendall needs to tune up their service department

To make an understatement, Alexander Mora could not have been more professional and great to work with. MAR 2014 Took my 2007 Tacoma into Kendall ANC for seatbelt recall and simple oil change. Arrived 7AM they had no record of my appt.They install the wrong weight oil, installed 5 quarts (instead of the required 7) AND the wrong oil filter. NEVER again will I reccommend this dealership.

I live in "bush" Alaska, 400 miles (roundtrip) from Anchorage; I cant go to the dealer multiple times in search of a new truck. I needed a good deal from the start and a truck that would meet all my needs, which included getting options installed. Jason Bartlett made it happen and made sure they were installed at the time of pick-up, because for me there is no going back the next day. Jason Bartlett understood this "bush mentality" and made sure all my options were installed professionally and gave me a good and fair price on my trade-in and for the purchase price of the new truck. He's a no BS-type of guy that you can count on! I tell all the people I care about in search of a new vehicle to go see Jason Bartlett.

I have bought a 2009 Toyota matrix s model in June/23/2008 I have been trying to get ahold of a service manager but they never call back when leaving vm! I have called 6 times left 3 messages two with the lady who answers the phone. I personally will never buy a car from anchorage Toyota Kendal! I am out of warranty because I have been trying to buy extended warranty and they will not call me back! I will never bring my car there for maintenance or to buy anything from the dealer ever again! I will buy dodge or something else Toyota is a good car there service is not so good!

I had an appointment for 9 am to get a recall item repaired. The new service technician couldn't use the iPad to find my information in the computer. I had to go to another service agent and she brought up my information quickly. Then she told me to calm down even though I was not upset. Then I looked out at my car which I just drove into the dealership to get a new steering column replacement. They didn't even know how to start my Prius after I gave them my key. Another lady came over to jump start my car. I had to run out and tell them that my car starts just fine. They had no idea how to start my Prius. They service agent said he was unable to get the mileage from the car cause it wouldn't start according to 4 of them. I had to explain to them to put key in put foot on brake and push start button. It started just fine and runs great. I walked away and they again we're trying to jump start it with another battery jumper because they had no clue about the Prius. They are the Toyota Dealership and don't even know how to start the cars they sell. I would not recommend going to this dealership they have no clue how to train their employees. I had to take my car and leave because the service manager was clueless about why his employees didn't know what they were doing.

Initial purchase of the '14 Tundra was very good. Paperwork and working the deal went quickly. The problems began when I brought the Tundra in for the rustproofing package and paint protection. The shop was supposed to hand wash the truck in order to apply the paint protection film; pressure wash the undercarriage to apply the rustproofing. When I picked up the truck, they had only washed to the back of the cab (only the area where the film was to be applied. I was not impressed. When pointed out to them, I was offered a courtesy car and a full cleaning of the exterior, but I haven't been back to get that done.Second disappointment was the pay-off of my trade-in. The salesman called the bank for a 15 day pay-off. They took 3 weeks to get it there, so I recommend monitoring that. I talked to someone in the finance dept. and was told the Acctg. dept. would be 'talked to' regarding the delay. I hope this trend does not continue and haven't written them off yet since when issues were discovered, the people I dealt with there seemed concerned and offered to remedy the situation.

I have had one of the worst experiences with a dealers service department. First off, I bought a 2007 GMC Sierra in July 2013 that was sold to me with new rims the dealership included to help improve the look. However, when I took this vehicle in the day after I bought it to MIDAS, they noticed the center hub cap piece broken. Not only that, I was sold the truck with worn front and rear brake rotors, a hub assembly that needed immediate replacement, an A/C belt that was cracked, and tires that were very worn and needed immediate replacement. I was thankfully taken care of by Travis, the used card manager that took care of getting these things fixed. However, I took my truck in for the second time (this time to replace hub cap since they needed to order 4 new ones) and it took 3 hours to replace hub caps! I had an appt. at 230pm and my truck didn't even get onto a lift until 440pm. Not only did that tick me off, but then I just took in my truck to get new tires put on and 1 of 2 things occured. 1, either the service rep that worked on my vehicle broke one of the tire rods on one my wheels, or he was not paying attention at all and didn't catch it. Either way, this was poor service and it has been an on going issue with Kendalls service department. Overall, my original buying experience was great but the fact these vehicle was up for sale with all the issues they had only makes me think Kendall Toyota does not care about the safety of its customers. Be very careful if you buy a used vehicle from this dealer and be sure to get it fully inspected by at least 2 mechanics!

As I was looking to buy my first car I saw one I really liked at Kendall, before setting up a time to come down and look at it and test drive it I received multiple emails and phone calls of them trying to get me in. It was very annoying and I felt very pressured. Once I got there, the dealer I had was new and didn't know much about the vehicle or anything. He kept going back and forth getting the answers. Another guy came and he was plain rude. Treating me like I didn't know what I was doing, saying he wasn't going to fix the scratches or dings in the vehicle and you could tell all he wanted was as much money possible. He wouldn't even budge in the price even though there were cracks and stuff. He was pressuring me into getting it right then and there. I ended up getting up and leaving. I can't believe they would act like that and treat their customers that way. I will never go back and I will make sure to let everybody know my experience and make sure they don't go there either.

Tim was very friendly and pleasant to negotiate with. They were willing ot negotiate "hard" without taking offense and there was more flexibility on price than I expected. The car was detailed and delivered with a full tank of gas. It was a "loaner" car so I assume it had floormats but they were not included. Bad on me for not making sure. We concluded the deal later in the evening and they could not find the second set of keys but true to his word, Tim located them the next day and called me. All in all, the best dealership experience I have ever had.

I bought my car from this dealership 8 months ago. When I came back to trade-in my car for a newer model I was stunned with the insincerity I found. My salesperson was DEREK whom I would never recommend for anyone EVER. I was going to buy a car which he quoted me with the intention to screw me. He got me to the point where he thought I would never say NO. I thought dealing with DEREK again was the best idea but I was very very very wrong. He speaks highly of the organization which gives one a comfortable feeling about purchasing a vehicle from Kendall Toyota. Probably one of the best experiences I have ever had in buying a new vehicle.A very personable young man who made buying a car enjoyable. Julie was awesome. She could answer every question I had. A very pleasant person who I would have to guess is one of the top employees in your company. She truly does want the customer to be happy and is very good at explaining the additional options that takes away the idea that this is just another way for the dealer to make money. I have been in sales my entire career and she is great at her job. I really wasn't going to purchase anything extra, and she not only sold it, but made me happy about purchasing it.I had three other local dealers that I had visited first and spoke with one other from the Seattle area. All happened to call me while I was at Kendall closing the deal and I let them know that I had just bought a vehicle from Kendall and it was a great experience. All they could say was thank you!

I was very pleased with the customer service and attention to my needs as a new buyer. Both Brian and Tony were upbeat, friendly, professional, efficient, and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. They were also flexible in accommodating me, which I really appreciated, considering I had to travel during winter from Homer (approx. 500 RT). Brian went beyond the call of duty in seeing to it that he had time for me when I arrive a whole day earlier than my appointment in order to beat the weather.I was somewhat disappointed by inaccurate information provided by their sales coordinator (Chris) who responded to my initial online inquiry and put me in touch with Sales. This resulted in some confusion, extra time, and a requote at a higher price (different vehicle). Nevertheless, my overall experience, and end result (purchase of a new 2012 RAV4) was extremely positive and I am now the happy owner of a new vehicle, which I feel that I acquired at a very fair price!I would definitely recommend Kendall Toyota, and especially Brian and Tony for their professionalism and genuine interest in the satisfaction of their customers.

"Thank You" to the 3 individuals that I worked with at this facility during my purchase. My Sales Rep Dedrick Pouncy, Sales Manager Travis Palmer, and in finance James Leitch. All three did a great job to help us reach our goals and as quickly as possible. They all worked so hard for us; It was refreshing. I really appreciate that I was able to do some of the work by phone. My time is valuable and purchasing a vehicle is a timely adventure. I have others to buy so the speedier the process, the better. I had been to other competitors' lots that afternoon including various used car lots, and I have to say that this was the only facility that I felt comfortable. It was the first time that afternoon that we didn't feel like "shark bait." Spending and exorbitant amount of money is nerve racking to begin with, but it's a easier when you feel comfortable and in good hands while you're doing so.There is a level of knowledge, respect and class that this facility and crew have, and I like that. Dedrick made sure we were comfortable throughout the entire process. He provided me a cubical/office to work in while we waited for finance, assisted us in finding a restaurant that delivers food, and kept that conversation going with my daughter and I to help pass the time. When it came time to leave with our vehicle, he did the most thorough inspection of the car both visually and mechanically. We left knowing how to operate every feature the vehicle had. That was long but very much appreciated today. We feel fortunate that he was standing outside when we pulled into your lot that afternoon, and I still receive calls from Dedrick checking up on us and our new addition to our garage.The Service Department is amazing, but I have always known the excellence that that department delivers. When I bought my 2006 4-Runner, many years ago, I have consistently made the 100 mile round trip to have the maintenance done at this facility, even the oil changes. I know I can count on what the work they deliver and the staff is wonderful.A big thumbs up to the staff at Kendall, and when I buy another Toyota I will definitely come back to this facility to do so. However, I really hope to have the same line-up with Dedrick as my Sales Rep, Travis working the deal for me, and James on the finance and warranty end of my purchase.Thank you again Kendall for a job well done!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the playroom for my kid as we waited. The coffee was great. I interacted with a total of 5 salespeople and they all were very nice and professional. I felt like I was in some high class hotel. The only thing missing was some hot cocoa for my son but the salesman even offered to go looking for some at the Lexus side! I was only having a duplicate key made but to my surprise they did a whole checkup on my Sequoia. Very nice.

I drove my Toyota pickup in for a new clutch and promptly received advice for multiple other repairs which I am able to do myself. The truck has been in their shop for almost 2 weeks, with the clutch disassembled. Now they tell me they cannot find parts for it and only after this amount of time are contacting management. Hope you have a better experience on your Toyota or Lexus.

Went to check out a Tundra that was on dealer special (nearly 6k under invoice) and was immediately impressed by management when they promplty had a lexus employee help us due to their overwhelmed staff at the toyota side. Couldn't have been more impressed with Graham's knowledge of the Tundra, his friendliness, and his "Im not going to sell you a car" attitude. I can't explain enough how much I hate being sold something! Wonderful experience and we will most definitely be buying another vechicle from them in a few years. A+++ rating from myself and my wife...Very military friendly...Extremely knowledgable staff and very curtious at all points of the process.

We decided to try the new on line negotiating tool - great idea. Everything went off without a hitch with the process. When we arrived at the dealership the car was waiting for us to test drive and although our initial sales rep, Lewis, was busy he sent over Russell, he was great. We waited about 10 minutes for James to do the closing paperwork, that also was streamlined and the process went very well. Out in just about an hour - great process, will recommend.

This is important to someone like myself who is very busy and who is just looking for service delivery that is honest and easy. Within about an hour of sending an inquiry to Kendall's email I received a response. And the same occurred after submitting my application. Lewis was on it. He was professional, thorough, and just made the process seamless. I would have to say that this was the BEST car buying experience I ever had. Not once did I feel like someone was just out to make money off of me nor did I feel pressured. Those are the kinds of things that keep me away from a dealership and not once did I feel that way with Lewis or Kendall Toyota. I have recommended Kendall Toyota and specifically Lewis to several people already and I truly wish he could be the only car salesman I ever work with. our visit to kendall toyota of anchorage, and interaction with all staff by far was the best car buying experience we have ever had. we have nothing but good things to say about the staff at this dealership. the only suggestion we do have is that the parts department stock more of the accessories for the new vehicles. We purchased a 2013 highlander limited. We wanted a trailer hitch, remote start added. The trailer hitch not in stock, a week wait time. We purchased on a saturday, the following monday i went in to purchase a hood protector and tote bag. Neither of these were in stock either. A week wait time as well. Not a real issue - would just think stock levels for items for these would be higher. Note - below i clicked we am not associated with any dealership. PLEASE READ FOR YOUR SAKE,I truly wonder how many people this happened to, but just do not know it. I was pre approved by my credit union, told the sales man this and my husband even called in front of him to ensure we would get the paperwork needed to go close the deal with our credit union. He kept having us fill out more and more paperwork I asked numerous times why, since I already had a loan. He stated that it was just to protect us, that since 9/11, they need to. The loan was only in my name, but they wanted more information on my husband, too. He took us to Angred, who,even though I told her and Randy the salesman we wanted the loan from my credit union had me fill out over an hours worth of paperwork, she even called my credit union. I have been very sick and it was obvious to them as I was coughing, and barely have a voice.On our way home, my husband called the girl at the credit union expecting us, who didn't receive the needed paperwork, who asked if we signed a lot of paperwork. Of course the answer was yes, and she told my husband that we had closed with Kendall Toyota. Shocked and now upset, I called and spoke to the sales manager. He stated it must have been a mistake and that Angred wanted to speak to me. I called her, she assured me that there was no incentive for them to sign the loan there, that all the paper work would have had to be completed any way and that it would not have saved me anytime if I closed with my bank and that the loan was with my bank. So, I asked my credit union girl, who told me I only needed to fill out one paper at the dealership! And that when she spoke to Angred and said she was sorry for the mix up, Anged said,"no biggie,it's only 11 thousand dollars. Well it's my eleven thousand dollars and she lied about no incentive to originate the loan. I am working with the managers, but thy violated my and my husbands privacy, our faith in them and were acting with out honesty or integrity and actually even checked my credit to do this with out my permission.....Please be careful that you do not get used this way by persons with out integrity....now I worry about everything they have said.....I will update this, as they work with me to clean this up and I will put this on other forums....

People are friendly and Howard Castle was wonderful to work withas were the used car manager and the other used car folks. The used carpeople all act like a family and work together, no matter who's customer it is. I really felt comfortable and happy with my Lexus purchase!

I worked with Geoff for almost two months looking first for a used pickup truck---and then when my plans changed, he suggested I look at a new Tacoma---reasoning that used Tacoma trucks were just a bit less than new ones---and with that in mind, Geoff and I spent a day looking and finally I found the vehicle I have been waiting to find. My 2011 Tacoma Access Cab TRD Sport is likely the best vehicle I have EVER owned!!!I love it!! Impeccable service, I wasn't given the run around and none of that back and forth nightmare with pricing/financing. The fact that I only had to work with 3 specific people it made it easier in communicating and not get handed off to random people during the sale process. The staff I was introduced to made me feel like family and really cared for what I was looking for in a vehicle. I was weary in purchasing a car because my past "car shark" nightmares but this time around at Kendall Toyota it had eliminated the stigma car dealerships have. I love my car, it's what I wanted all thanks to Charlie Martin, Vladimir, and Jeri (financing). I would definitely come back to purchase another car from here, and will do my best to refer others to do the same. Great job!

I walked into Kendall not even knowing what car I was looking for. I did have a list of things I considered requirements for my next car or truck. Sean listened patiently and immediately had a car matching my list. Within minutes of us going on a test drive I told him, "this is not my car", so we turned around and went back to the lot to start over. I saw a FJ Cruiser sitting there and asked if we could just take it for a drive, thinking this probably isn't it, but I had always wanted to drive one so why not. Immediately I was in love, it was perfect, so back to the dealership we went. I wasn't going to be able to commit to the deal for a few days as I was selling my Jeep not trading it in but Sean still took the time to work with us and get a deal we were all happy with. The day I picked up the FJ was Seans day off, but he came in, made sure it was detailed, topped off with fuel, went over every feature of the vehicle and was even going to sync my phone with it. Sean's patience made this one of the best and easiest car buying experiences. I will absolutely send everyone to Kendall and definitely to Sean when they are looking to but a new car/truck. Thank you Sean for everything.

I have visited a lot of different dealerships over the last few weeks, but I think this one sets itself apart from the rest. It is a little jumbled with the lay out, but I was told by Sean that there will be a new store opening soon. Sean was a great person to talk to. I wasn't sure if I was gonna be happy buying a foreign rig, all my freinds and family drive Chevy or Ford. I have always driven a Chevy, but I think its time to change. Sean is very knowledgeable, very polite, and not pushy in a noticeable way. I have been in sales (furniture) for a long time and can appreciate the feeling of being lead in the right direction without being pushed. He seemed to know what I was thinking and what my concerns were without having to outright ask. I haven't made my final desicion, my dad will shoot me when I do get a Toyota, but I think that the crew at Kendall and mostly Sean, will make that desicion the right one when the time comes. I have heard great things about the service as well. Anyone thinking about a new rig but worried about getting work done on it should really look at how welll Kendall Toyota takes care of there customers, I have asked many people and have never heard anything bad. Thank You for a great experience and I think you have earned yourself a new customer.:)

My over all experience with Kendall Toyota was great. They were able to give me the price I wanted and deliver the truck in a timely manner. I was half way home in my wonderful new Tundra when I noticed the floor mats were missing. Returned to Kendall Anchorage for 10,000mi service (included free with Toyota Care). Service was quick (~1 hr), professional, price was right ;) and included all that I expected (checking fluids & filters, rotating tires, visually inspect brake lining/drum/pads/discs) and something I didn't expect (checking installation of driver-side floor mats to make sure they didn't block accelerator pedal). Those were installed at another place after I bought my new Sienna, but it's nice to see Toyota cares about safety enough to include it in their regular maintenance checks.

Recently I was shopping around for both a new and used car, I kept on being passed around to different salesmen. Highly pressured to buy a car. None of the salesmen seemed like they wanted to go on a test drive. Salesmen are rude. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. I love Toyotas but not this dealership. I had another car with them before. The service shop is very pricey.

I am not an easy person to deal with - and less than 4 months ago I was buying a Toyota for my son's college graduation. At that point, I dealt with Kendall Toyota, Oregon. It was terrible and I bought the car from Doxon Toyota in WA instead.However - the Alaska people were shocked by my experience - and there has never been a nicer or a more helpful service dept. than the Kendall people in Alaska.Across the board - truly nice, caring and devoted to making the customer happy. I will be buying my new car (a Toyota Camry) within the next two months from them.So - not a statement about Kendall - just about Kendall Alaska - and they are the best. Added comment - Just found out Kendall Toyota has pulled my credit rating twice, without my approval and after I was approved by Toyota Financial. Due to excessive pulls by Kendall -my credit rating has now dropped by 40 points. REALLY not impressed. Toyota Financial says "something must be signed first" - I guess Kendall does not follow that rule.

Kendal Toyota is the only dealership in the state and they act like a monopoly. They were very slow to come down on price. I was just about to buy from a dealer on Oregon when they finally moved on price. No one has to pay MSRP for a car!!!

Hello, My name is Elizabeth and I wanted to recommend Kendall Toyota. I was looking for a vechile for my large family. In the pass I have worked with Ford Worthington when I first moved to Alaska in 2002 and I was push to a vechile which I did not like but I had no choice because I needed a vechile. Three years later, I was able to buy another car which I had great credit so I went thru Alaska Sales and Service I purchase three cars in the last two years and recommend my family and friends. Now time changes and so did my credit from good to terrible. I went back to the sales people (alaska sales and service) that I purchase my car they told me we will contact me. I felt that I was not valuable customer and no one would of honestly told me why. ONLY WE will call you. I have not recieve any call back just a letter from banks that they did not appoved me. Anyhow, I gave Kendall a try, I honestly knew what the outcome would be but I needed to try, I was very suprise a promise of a call back within 24 hrs, which a sales person did call me and honestly told me. I was not upset nor angry I was just glad I was treated with respect and a valuable customer.Times are tough and like me who had awesome credit now its terrible. Life just turns to a curve ball. Kendall sales people treated me with respect. And now, I will turn my situation around and come back to Kendall to buy a brand new car. SO I RECOMMEND KENDALL TOYOTA ANCHORAGE. FOR HONESTY AND TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT!

They followed up on my internet inquiry and although I changed my mind on the type of Toyota I was interested in, they were very helpful in assisting me with my new choice. The salesperson was very helpful - not a high pressure approach - which I definitely appreciated. Every time that I have had to have our vehicles worked on, the Toyota Service Department in Anchorage has been Stellar. This is the best Service department I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. They have treated us fairly, courteously, promptly, and efficiently. The service work has been impeccable and the manner we have been treated was and is as a valued customer. This service department has gone out of their way to take care of me and my family and I appreciate that more than words can express. I cannot recommend a better place to have your vehicle worked on. The quality of their work has been beyond my expectations. We have had several reasons to deal with this group, not the least of which was a serious accident repair a few years ago. We did not need to have any follow up work after that repair which I find to be totally amazing. I will continue to by word of mouth recommend Kendall as the only place to go for service work. Thank you for treating us right every time. Yes the cost is a little pricey, but we know that one gets what one pays for. Please do keep up the good work. Most of our experience has been with the Service department, but we have also purchased two vehicles from Kendall Anchorage, one new Forerunner and one used Sequoia. The process after getting to the agreed price was perfect. Both of our Alaska Toyotas have been excellent vehicles. I am looking at a used Tundra now and will only shop with Kendall. I negotiated online which I believe saved me a lot of time in the dealership, although I was still there for two hours. I had a very nice salesman, Patrick, and the finance lady (I apologize for not knowing her name) did not pressure me into purchasing extra items such as extended warranty or undercarriage rust proofing. As this was my first truck, I was extremely grateful that Patrick sat in the truck with me and explained all of the new bells and whistles. When I left I was confident I could drive this new truck without getting stuck or wondering how to switch to 4WD.

My first trip back to Anchorages only Toyota Dealer since it was under its previous owner. I purchased a 2010 Tacoma from Kendall last year and had a great experience. I took it in for its first service and received fantastic service. Scott, as well as everyone there were extremely professional, friendly and competent. In particular, Scott, our Service tech was extremely helpful. This was a significant improvement over my past experience several years back with a previous Toyota. I will be returning there for future vehicle needs. Job well done!

I brought my 18-month-old son with me to look at an '07 Prius with really low miles & get a trade-in assessment. I only planned to be there for an hour or two but discovered the Prius was exactly what I wanted, so we ended up being there for at least four or five hours. Paperwork & negotiations are a certain recipe for disaster with a toddler, right? Wrong! My son had a blast exploring the showroom and playing with the toys Robert provided, and everyone working at the dealership was friendly and gracious. Jeri was awesome about working over the financial options to help me get a great deal that was still in my price range (Toyota financing absolutely exceeded my expectations as well). The afternoon couldn't have gone more smoothly - I walked out with a great car, a great deal, and a happy munchkin - what a feat! Thanks guys!

I am thoroughly happy with my new Venza!! It is seriously the nicest car I have ever owned. This would include my Mercedes ML320 I owned previously. I received a letter for a buy back for certain 1995-2000 toyota tacomas due to rusty frame perforation. I had many problems with my truck do to rust. I took my truck to Kendall Toyota in Anchorage for an inspection. They told me that they did not believe the buyback was a real issue and they had never heard of a truck that qualified. I asked them if I could look at the frame of my truck when they put it on the lift to inspect it and they said they did not even put it up on a lift. They would just reach under and hit the frame with a hammer. If the hammer goes through. They buy it back, And if I have a problem with that I can pay someone else to look at it since they are the only dealer in alaska. The truck passed with them. So I drove to the lower 48. On the drive down my rack and pinion broke off, the brace for my struck broke off. I had to put almost $3000 dollars worth of repairs into the truck to make it to the lower 48. Where a dealership down there inspected my frame and qualified me for the buyback. Thanks a lot Kendall Toyota. I will never give you my business or recommend you to anyone.

I currently own a Toyota Highlander which I love, Its great and have received fantastic customer service when taking the car in for maintenance. My husband wanted to replace his Chevy Truck (LIFE time Chevy owner) and tried to find the right one for his needs. His looking was approaching the second month. I had a few minutes to support his efforts. I started with an Internet inquiry and had a very positive talk over the phone with Kendall customer service rep Carolyn Turnipseed in Oregon. Carolyn sent me information of cars that were currently available in the Anchorage, Wasilla and in the Fairbanks area. As we talked on the phone I was able to narrow my search to the Anchorage Kendall Used lot. After reviewing costs of Used over New; and the current 0% financing offered he made a decision and purchased a new RAV4. The Sales Staff (Jerry Cagle) was awesome he provide valuable information without the pressure. Kendall has fantastic customer service. We are a Toyota Family! I started with an Internet inquiry and had a very positive talk over the phone with Kendall customer service rep Julie Grunstrom in Oregon. Julie set me up with the Internet Sales team at Anchorage Toyota and I met with David Kirk later in the week. All I can say is that I drove home a Toyota Prius in the right exterior color, with the right interior and more information about this new car than the other 4 I have owned. My husband and I were treated well and I have only great things to say about Anchorage Toyota and the Kendall dealership. I appreciated the no pressure sales team who didn't push or strong arm the purchase. I would certainly send friends and family to Anchorage Toyota.
