Stop back to see the Buick Encore for a second time, Jay Lewis was very helpful and going over the equipment I want. Decided that I'm waiting for the 2017 Encore, it looks like they have one coming in the equipment I'm looking for. He was very understanding when I said I wanted to wait until the 2017 arrives.

He is courteous, attentive, and patient and well "informed" about the vehicle we wanted.The dealership is very welcoming and respectful of their customer needs. I was not happy with my current vehicle that I had and fell in love with a 2015 Yukon on the lot. Jay and Jeff worked with me to make the Yukon fit in my budget all while making sure I was satisfied with my purchase. They also went out of their way to allow me to take the vehicle home for the night so my husband who works late hours could see the vehicle (as well as have the kids ride in it for their In put- haha)! Overall- I am very pleased and had a easy, fast, helpful and accommodating experience.

Approximately one year ago my family bought a used vehicle from this dealership. The saleman's name was Isaac. Over the course of the year that we have owned the car, we have contacted Isaac with questions about the car, as well as advice about service. Recently during a torrential downpour, we lost a wiper from the front windshield. We drove it to Kent County Motors and were fortunate enough to find Isaac working. He stopped what he was doing to take us to the service department and help us get the wiper replaced, and we were back on the road again within an hour. All of our future purchases will be from Kent County Motors. It doesn't matter if you purchase new or used--they still treat you right, even after the sale!

Went to the dealership to look at a 2015 GMC Sierra. It was pulled up and ready for my test drive. The sales staff was informative and knowledgeable, not pushy. They gave me a fair price for my trade in and gave me a VERY competitive price for the vehicle. No playing around, no tricks, no hidden fees...straight forward and honest. I bought the truck on the spot. I have purchased many vehicles and I was ready for a fight. This was not the case...I walked out with a great truck at a great price and I was smiling the whole time!

We were on our way home to NJ from Virginia visiting our daughter in the navy driving our 2015 Chevy 3500 crew cab dully on a Saturday, when the check engine light came on and the seed restriction kicked in, we had 35 miles till the speed went down to 55. We stopped at another dealer and they said don't worry about it. So we drove some more saw Kent County Motors and pulled in, it was about 4:00 pm on a Saturday. Robby hooked the truck up to the scanner and found we had lost an exhaust sensor. The parts supply houses were closes. He found a truck on his lot that had the part we needed, fixed our truck and sent us on our way. Had he not went the extra steps to find the sensor we would have been stuck till Monday, that's 2 extra days in a hotel and at least 1 missed day of work for me and my husband. I can NOT thank the crew at Kent County Motors enough. Living in New Jersey I would STILL conceder going down there to purchase a new vehicle.

Last July we bought a used Chevy Cruze from Kent County Motors. Isaac was our sales rep. When we experienced a trouble light on our vehicle several months later, I called Isaac for help and within two hours he had us scheduled with the service department to not only find the cause of the service engine light, but to also get the oil changed and tires rotated! He researched and found that our problem was covered under warranty. Everyone was polite and professional not only when we bought our car, but also when we experienced a minor problem with it.

I went to the body shop to get my car damages repaired. During my service the Body Shop workers washed and totally cleaned the inside of my car! They did not have to do this but they did! As a busy mom of 2 son, life can seem very hectic. But a simple kind gesture of washing my car and vacuuming the inside means the world! It really is the little things in life that make my day! Now my 2012 Chevy Malibu looks and drives beautifully! Thank you so much to Lisa and Jeff and all of the other workers who put hard work into getting my car serviced.

I worked with Jeff Harvey on the purchase of a car, and it was by far the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Jeff was organized and had everything ready for me on the day of the purchase. Usually buying a car is a whole day process, but Jeff had us in and out of the dealership in about an hour. He even went the extra mile and was able to register me for a gift card for gas! The service was topnotch, and with Jeff's help we would absolutely buy a car from Kent County Motors again in the future.

We told Jeff Harvey that we were looking for a used car that was newer with very low mileage. Within a week he contacted us with a 2013 Honda Accord that only had 8000 miles on it. We did not have to haggle as we were given an up front very fair offer. Jeff made everything very easy and followed up on everything he said he would do for us. At the time we purchased my wife was home with our sick child so Jeff brought the paperwork to our house so she could sign the documentation. Everyone we dealt with were kind and professional.

When I stopped at the dealership to look I had an SUV in mind. Unfortunately there weren't any on the lot that would seat 7. Jay asked me if I'd ever considered a minivan. We figured since I was there I might as well give it a try. I was sold almost immediately. They even offered to let me bring it home to try it out. I recently purchased an 02 Accord from Kent County Motors and was really pleasantly surprised with the service I was given. I was also very pleased with the car I purchased, I thought it was a fair price for the year and mileage and it was squeaky clean on the inside. In particular I was very happy with how my salesman Jeff treated myself and fiance. He was very friendly and pleasant to deal with both on the phone and in person as well as very helpful. He took care to find answers to my many questions about the car and process and even called the local Honda dealership for me with a question I had regarding purchasing an additional key.Jeff was also very accommodating to our schedule and was able to get us in and out with keys in hand promptly but not without us feeling confident in our decision to purchase from them.

I stopped to look at a new Lacrosse, but soon realized I couldn't afford it. I absolutely love the car I bought... All of the staff are super friendly and professional. My only complaint is that I've had to go in several times to get things set up or fixed bc the service department was closed when I left. I came in 2 hrs before closing on a Saturday so I understand that. Just unfortunate that it has become so time consuming. However, I was provided with a loaner car which was amazing. I was looking for a used vehicle with low mileage and in good condition. Basically I wanted a great car for a low payment. I had been looking for an SUV and saw a Yukon on line. I called and talked to Jeff about test driving it that evening, he got off at 4 but came back to meet with us. When we went back to sign the paperwork everything was ready for us and the process went very quickly. While driving the truck home the tire service light came on, I called Jeff and he set up an appointment to get it looked at. He is going to come to my house and pick it up. I called to get information on a used Cadillac on the lot. Didn't realize that customer service like that still existed in today's society! I was looking for a car to replace my 2012 Toyota Rav 4 that had more luxury but had a smoother better ride but also gave me good gas mileage. I test drove a Buick Encore that fit all my needs and was reasonably priced. The dealership offered plenty of incentives that got the price where I needed it to be. The sales department was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely purchase more vehicles in the future from them. Great experience and extremely happy with my purchase. :)

I was looking for a truck and this was the 1st time since 2004 and on my own. The sales department was very friendly and not over bearing. they allowed me to look around and test drive the truck that I thought I wanted to buy.In the end I ended up purchasing the truck and have been satisfied so far. The staff was informative and friendly and very helpful in the purchase.I appreciate the amount of time they spent with me to make sure I had everything that I needed and wanted in a vehicle.

MaryHad a really good experience Had not bought a car in 12 years and this time I was on my own no spouse to go with me this time, I was a bit nervous I went to a few ford places because I always bought a ford.,But someone at work said I should go to Kent Motors they just bought a car there and said the people were great an not pushy and gave me a name of a salesperson. I went and talked to a Matthew Hall drove out that same day with a Buick Verono an I would do it again I have been back to have it service since and the personal there are great.

How many times do you haggle at other Dealerships for a couple days. For your best price first call Jay Lewis at Kent Co. Motors. Just bought my Second new GMC from him. I was in and out of dealership in less than an hour after closing deal over the phone. The funny part is other dealers call the next day after the purchase and then say they can drop price some more. Ha Ha , Don't waste your time. They still didn't beat my price or trade allowance. Call Jay today..Dwayne in Maryland

I went in to look at an 03 Nissan Frontier that I first saw on their website. I dealt with Stanford, and the guy was great. After the test drive we noticed a strange noise, he had it looked at right away by the shop and fixed that night. They were also kind enough to let me use the truck overnight for an extended test drive. This was very beneficial because it allowed me to take it to my mechanic and get an extra set of eyes on it. This eased a lot of my concerns about buying a used vehicle. Overall it was a smooth process, and I'd certainly recommend them to friends and family.

I had an amazing experience at Kent County Motors - all because of Matt Hall . Matt was professional, friendly and he didnt rush the potential sale. Once I decided to move forward and purchase my new 2015 Buick Matt took his time to explain my options. As a woman - we sometime feel that car dealerships take advantage of us.. I walked away feeling like Matt had my best interest at heart. Since my purchase Matt has continued to follow up with me and even making sure I understood the features of my new truck - he didnt say refer to the manual.. Thank you Matt Hall. We purchased several vehicles from KCM. The last purchase has been a nightmare. It was a used vehicle that we've taken back to the service department several times for the same issues as we were told there were no issues. To date, we still have an outstanding issue. Our salesman failed to returns calls as well as the title clerk. Recent work performed on the vehicle has resulted in chipped paint and damage to the car. The manager is very unprofessional and condescending. Will never purchase another vehicle from this dealership nor will we ever have service performed on a vehicle again. It is ashame and extremely disappointing as this had been our go to dealership.

Bought a used GMC Acadia and worked with salesman Matt Hall. Had a great experience...looked at the car on a Sunday, he dropped it off for a test drive on a Monday, negotiations happened quickly on Tuesday and we owned it by Tuesday night! Didn't move much on asking price, but overall a good deal and great customer service, both in the sales side and service side.

Jay Lewis is the best salesman I have ever encountered when buying a vehicle. He is so involved in the learning process of the new truck. He knows all about these vehicles , does his homework.. He welcomes everyone with a warm smile, like come on in and sit and tell me what you are looking for. He always has an answer to my questions. Really fun experience. Kent County Motors sold me my second vehicle i've owned, and my first brand new vehicle. The entire process took about 48 hours, from looking at a vehicle to driving off in my 2014 Buick Encore. I've owned it for nearly two months. It's traveled long distances, and i've put nearly 3800 miles on it.I worked with Stanley, who was both professional and helpful. He was not pushy, and ensured the Buick Encore was a purchase I wanted to go forward with. Once I saw the Encore, and compared it to other brands of crossover and/or SUVs in the same class, no other company was able to give me the options I wanted for the price I was willing to pay. I decided to go with the encore by the next day.Pros: Friendly, professional company with very good vehicles for sale. Gave me the car overnight so my husband could drive it and we could discuss possibly purchasing the vehicle (i'm sure it's done for many possible buyers, but it was helpful). Cons: I marked down quality of work, due to the negotiating for the price. Instead of dealing with me, I had to endure about an hour worth of my salesman running back and forth to the manager. I would have appreciated a face-to-face interaction rather than trying to translate information through a medium. Additionally, they were not willing to negotiate on the MSRP for the Encore. Had I gone with the fair purchase price for the vehicle, I could have saved $1500 - $2000. I traded in a vehicle, so I tried to get as much as possible from it. Also, the manager was not willing to give me information on my extended warranty options, tax information, or physical vehicle protection prior to running my credit. I was given a quote for my car note, and after leaving the manager's office (where we went to fill out all documentation for my car note), there was about $50 added to my note. Granted, I assumed that it'd be higher, however I felt as if I should have been made aware of the options afforded to me prior to signing any documents. Lastly, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, approximately two weeks after I purchased my vehicle, a close friend notified me about GMC's MAJOR RECALL of most GM and Buick models within the last decade. I was extremely annoyed that I was not notified about the recall, especially considering I JUST purchased my vehicle. My vehicle was ultimately not affected, but it would have been really nice to get at least a notification about the recall.Overall, Stanley was extremely helpful, and I absolutely love my vehicle. My car note was fair, I just wish Kent General Motors was more forthcoming about the fair purchase price of the vehicle, additional vehicle options, and communication overall.

We had a great purchasing experience at Kent County Motors. Our salesman, Jay Lewis, was very courteous, he came in to serve us on his day off! There was no pressure and we received a fair price for our trade in. Jay was very knowledgeable about the Volvo we purchased, even though it is a GM/Buick dealership. Jay also goes out of his way to ensure you are happy with your car after the purchase making himself available to pick up your car for service and deliver it back to you after the service is complete. Jay Lewis is a great reason to purchase a car at Kent County Motors, he provides old-world service that you just don't see anymore. I would recommend Kent County Motors to anyone looking for a car.

Lee Wilson, my sales consultant was very professional. I recently purchased a 2012 GMC Sierra Pickup, I was in the market for a truck and had looked around for several months. I just was looking on their lot and found one that I liked. With no waiting for someone to help , a salesperson was willing and ready to assist. After taking it for a test drive I realized this was the truck for me. After a couple hours I was the proud owner of a new truck. I was so happy with this purchase I refferred several other customers to the same sales person and dealership and they were also tickled to death. I even have a friend who purchased his GMC somewhere else , he now gets all his work done at this dealership. I dont understand some of the reviews on this site. I understand that sometimes you want to go to a dealership to look around , however car sales associates are there to assist you in doing so. That is their job. Their job is also to sell cars. So I can see why they are excited to get out there and help people look. As for using profanity about customers, I was offered a bottle of water while we signed papers . I was even offered a snack out of the vending machine. This is a top quality and people friendly dealership and I would reccommed it to anyone. I got my truck for a bargain as it was a leftover on the lot since the year 2013 was looming. GM gave me a great finance rate as well as almost $9,000 off the sticker price with rebates and other incentives.

I had been car shopping for a while and had finally narrowed down my decision to purchasing a used sedan for my daily business use. I had stopped in to get a closer look at a car I spotted on their website. I was unfortunately approached by a salesman before I could even close my car door. No big deal I was hoping it would be someone to give me a tour of the car but instead it was a very overly pushy to the point of being obnoxious salesman. He walks me over to his desks which I found odd because I came to look at a car and not chat with someone at their desk. I anyhow followed a long and told him I came to their dealer to take a look at a Buick Lucerne they had. He randomly starts going into some pitch about how great the dealership is and other unrelated things to my purpose of arriving at the dealer which is to inspect and test drive a single vehicle. What was strange is that he asked me What do I do which seemed odd because he only had just met me and thats not the type of question you asks someone within 1minute of them when theyre there to inquire about a specific vehicle. It seemed out of place and it was a hint as to how this salesman operated (very pushy to the point that it was obnoxious). He gets the keys for the vehicle and drives it to the front of the dealer and I over look it just noting the condition which seemed okay. He informed me that he would have to drive the car off the lot and he took me to some random parking lot. It seemed strange because I never heard of a dealer doing that before and it also put me on their predestined route to drive the car with was a small circle back to the dealer. As I drove the car I noticed it shook at higher speeds and the brakes made a grinding noise when pressed in. I also found out later that the sunroof was broken to the point it was sunk in. The car also had almost 3K more miles on it than advertised. The Salesman talked A LOT of nonsense between asking personal questions that werent his business to the usual salesman nonsense of this car is great and we can fix that.When we arrived back to the dealer after a very short ride we walked back in to his desk to discuss numbers. Basically what I learned while waiting there is that the manager sits at the desks and goes back and fourth with the Salesmen and they talk rather derogatorily about the customers theyre working with. Which, I overheard when I was waiting several times. That raised a redflag right there with the dealership but nevertheless I wanted to see what they were offering for the car. They gave me a quote that was below the blue book which is good until I realized the car has no warranty (which is should still have from the factory). They charge you 1,500-3,000 on top of what they quote for a warranty so be on the look out. I sat and listened to the salesman pitch the worse sales nonsense I have ever heard and he became pushier and pushier almost trying to force me to sign a financing paper and trying is best to get me to buy the car. It actually made me feel uncomfortable and leery about the whole ordeal. No matter how clear I made it that I wasnt interested in financing or buying the car without thinking about it the Salesman just became more obnoxiously pushy. With sales theres pushy and helpful and then theres I dont really care about you or what you want I just want a sale pushy And thats the vibe I felt from this salesman. I told him I would need to think about purchasing the vehicle further and left (actually I was glad to have escaped). The next day they were closed but I came to their lot to inspect the car without interruption and saw that they Sunroof was completely broken as it was not closed but sunk in (thankfully it didnt rain that day or night). The following day after I decided to head back to the dealer to take a second look at the car to decide if I wanted it as the first time I checked out the car it was brief and spent more time at the salesmans desk with him trying to get me to buy the car than actually looking at the car itself. I had to wait a bit for the Salesman to come to the dealership when I told the manager I just wanted to look at the car and he calls the salesman who comes in on his day off to show me the car (which in a way was ironic because I came there when he wasnt there purposely so I could inspect and test the car in peace the way I needed to without the added interruption). I guess the manager called the salesman and told him I was there to buy the car. I guess the words look and buy have the same definition for them. We walk out to the car and I ask him about the sunroof and the brakes and tell him upfront that I felt uncomfortable about those issues with the car. He goes on to tell me about a 27 point inspection they do to the cars. I felt like being polite and not interrupting him to tell him they must have missed the sunroof and brakes when they did the inspection. He then tries to wager with me that if I purchase the car that theyll fix the sunroof and brakes. I call that the hostage situation method. If you meet one of the demands of a robber theyll free a hostage. If you do that theyll do this and so on. If I buy the car theyll fix this. This is never a good way to purchase anything. I felt that the car should be fixed before anyone test drives it and they should make sure the sunroof was fixed and the brakes worked before even declaring to show the car to me again. Who wants to purchase a car with problems that may or may not be fixable until AFTER youve brought the car and its problems. I had planned to bring that up with him or use those points to negotiate a better price for the car but wanted to drive the vehicle (actually drive) the car first on a test ride. At this point the salesman seemed annoyed. He got the keys and drove us to the random parkinglot. I told him I wanted to take the car down a road I was familiar with (to drive the car under my terms and not in their little circle back to the dealer). He seemed annoyed and asked me what was the difference between one road and another (strike 1). When were testing the car he starts asking me personal questions liked I called your phone and a woman answered (okay???) and prying questions about the business I owned (Strike 2) For example Oh is it legal? With papers and documents? What do you sell? Can you tell me who you work with? Questions that are rude to asks someone that isnt interested in discussing private and unrelated business matters with a complete stranger. Business operations are Intellectual Properties and isnt something business owner openly discuss with anyone that is not apart of the company let alone a complete stranger (which I made clear). We drive back to the dealership and honestly I should have gotten right back in my car and left but decided to check out the cars motor and make sure there werent any leaks with the motor in the common places that occur on a Buick lucerne (in their short circle they let you drive in the car doesnt get warm enough to check the engine properly). The Saleman seemed to get upset and at my thorough look over of the vehicle and started to become sarcastic with questions like What are you looking for in a condescending tone. I decide to be polite and explain to him the problem areas of the Buick Lucerne as after all I already own one so Im familiar with how it should be operating. I ask him if they had performed the intake cleaning which is a standard maintenance performed on the car at around 50,000 miles. Its a process that the shop uses to clean out the carbon that builds up in the Series 3 V6 intake manifold. The salesman just became more annoyed when I ask my basic question. I politely explain to him that with a major purchase as a vehicle I want to ensure that it is running properly and has been serviced properly (which should not need to be explained). Afterwards we head inside because I asked to get a final pricing quote on the car. The Out the Door with all hidden fees and paperwork (which is what I intended to do when I came there after looking it over closer). When I asked that information such as about the warranty and additional purchase expenses the dealer and the manager just about defecated on themselves because they werent prepared. Usually this is the type of stuff they try to tell you when youre sitting down and have already gone ths into the purchase process then they slam you with the $2K vehicle warranty offers and expensive documents fees hoping that youre too exhausted to say NO! at that point. The game is they show you a car at markup, cut some dollars off the sticker and offer it at an attractive price, then they sell you the recommended Warranty and so come the other fees. That 12K car you were looking at becomes 15K in no time! Thats the game that they play at Kent.I take my seat and watch as the Salesman goes back in fourth to the managers desk when I asked my pressing questions. It comes down to everyone I need to find out the exact numbers not being there to answer them and those working too lazy to figure them out (even the 3.7% tax). We then spend the next several minutes with the salesman trying to force me to fill out a financing AP that I rejected I dont know how many times. He was so persistent with his financing application I thought HE was going to purchase the car for me. It was a pretty uncomfortable experience and I had a sense that it would be a mistake to purchase a car through them and that I should pass on the car. When I finally decided I had enough I stood up and prepared to leave then the Salesman goes to the manager one final time to inquire about my last question again and I over hear him speaking about myself derogatorily to the manager. Hes just talking St which was in reference to the polite reasons I gave him to deny buying the car they kept overly persuading me to purchase. Regardless that was (Strike 3) and it cost them my potential purchase. I had only seen this vehicle twice in my life and barely spent more than 15minutes looking at it and about 40 minutes with the salesman trying to force me into buying the vehicle. They are extremely pushy and hardly interested in the customers satisfaction is what I learned in the time I spent here. They did not respect my time and did not respect my space as a buyer. They try to make the decision for you, instead of letting you decide what you would like to buy for yourself. My time with Kent County Motors out of the other 6 dealerships I visited in the area placed them at the bottom of the list with me as far as car shopping goes. Very unprofessional salesmen, very pushy, and apparently they dont check their used cars for problems quite thoroughly enough before putting them on the lot. I rate my review based on the uneasiness I felt while shopping at the dealer and how I was treated as a customer. The vehicle I was looking at was actually a nice car despite its problems but I didnt feel that this was the right place to purchase it from. I skipped on this purchase solely because I didnt not appreciate the disrespectful salesperson I hade nor the attitude/vibe of the dealership overall. As a business owner myself I have a high respect for my own customers and when I heard the manager and salespeople talking negatively about persons on their lot shopping for cars it really gave me a bad impression about them.

Oops, I forgot to tell the salesman that I have a doctorate and have a background in research! Terrible experience, actually my worst yet in my 20 years of being a driver and purchasing vehicles. First test vehicle (GMC Yukon XL) was out of gas, second needed to be jumped b/c of a dead battery. Not to mention the dead bugs and dirt. I was treated like a novice driver being taken to a parking lot before I was allowed to drive the car. I endured all of this just to be treated like an idiot when I questioned the manager's math (there was about 3-4K unaccounted for with his calculation of my monthly car payments). Needless to say, I did not purchase the vehicle and will never purchase from this dealer! Totally not worth the time this experience took away from my kids tonight. I went to Kent County Motors to sell them my truck. I was going to use the money to buy a car in Wilmington, DE. The salesman talked me into trading my truck for a car they had. The manager said that he "loved my truck and had to have it. The day after I got the car It started to have major safety problems. I took it to them and they had it for 3 days. They "fixed" the problem and gave it back to me. I then had it for 1 day after it was fixed. AGAIN, I took it back to them. they have had it for 3 days now for the second time and hasnt even started to get it fixed! I had the car appraised and it is only worth roughly $3000. The problem is that my truck was appraised at $12000. The deal I made with the dealership is They would give me the car and $1000 cash. Now after all the problems Ive had with it I learn that the car is only valued at $3000 like I said. You do the math......thats a $ NINE THOUSAND DOLLAR difference.....They screwed me!Do NOT go here.
