This is not the first time is that we bought a car in Koeppel. we had great experience both times. Everybody is professional, calm, timely, they know about the product of that they are selling. The buying process was very smooth and fast. Next time we need a car, definitely we are going back, and would strongly recommend for everyone else.

I came in to check out some new Foresters and was promptly greeted by Tom. He showed me around the showroom and let me sit in a few cars to get a feel for the size and some of the features. Then he took me on a short, but engaging test drive. I loved the new Forester!Tom quickly put together numbers with a few different down payment options. I found one that was right in my range and worked within my budget. They even arranged for me to take the car home the same day! Tom handed me off to their in-house insurance agent who took care of all the insurance paperwork and printed out new ID cards for me. Then I met with Maureen, the finance lady. She made my paperwork a breeze and even had new plates for me so I didn't have to go to the DMV. I had no idea that buying a new car could be such a hassle free and even pleasurable experience. Thank you Koeppel Subaru!

My sales person Jordan Germosen was extremely helpful, respectful, very knowledgeable of all the vehicles I looked at and helped me pick the perfect one. My finance manager Maureen Heffernan was literally amazing. Extremely kind and respectful. She made me feel comfortable and trusting. She did everything I asked and made sure I was completely taken care of. I would absolutely recommend this company to family and friends.

Went to dealership in late December 2015 and decided upon a 2016 Crosstrek. Kenneth was very personable, cooperative and informative, although there was no negotiation to be had on the price. We wanted a manual transmission and because the car was not available at the dealership, we were told that the car would have to be ordered and would take 6 weeks to arrive. This translated into the car, allegedly, scheduled to arrive in the first week of February. As a result, I sold my old car in late January based on this promised schedule, but when I called the dealership to find out when my car would be available, I was told very casually by the manager that the factory issued a March arrival date. Nothing more specific than that. It could be March 1st or March 31st for all I know. Meanwhile, I have had to take taxis and rental cars to get my kids to school and soccer practice. In the meantime, no one at the dealership, neither Kenneth nor the manager has cared to update us on the status, adequately apologize for the false promise, or offered to help make up for the expensive inconvenience we've been put through. I'm not happy. And still waiting...

So I made an appointment to visit this dealership to meet with a particular sales person, and I was told they had all my information and would be expecting me. Well the people I was supposed to meet ended up not being there and I had to meet with the sales manager, who asked me several times what I was there to do, annoying but okay. So sales manager pulled up my information on the computer and then proceeded to build the car I wanted on the subaru website. He printed out a copy of the assembled car with MSRP prices and presented it to me as the price of the car! He told me the car buying program I wanted to use only takes $250 off the MSRP...I guess he must think I am a fool! As a AAA auto buying dealership they are supposed to show me the invoice price and charge me a pre-negotiated amount above the invoice! I then told him the price quote I received from another dealership and he said he would be able to match it if I can show it to him in writing...I guess he thought I was lying. So I showed him the price quote from the other dealership which was almost $2300 off MSRP! Needless to say he was surprised. He then thanked me for coming in as if to say without actually saying it "we can't match that price". So I left, annoyed that I had wasted my time. The person I made the appointment with called me the next day to find out how everything went. I explained to her what happened and she seemed very concerned and eager to earn my business. She then proceeded to tell me they can match it, BUT at an additional cost for the options that were already included in the other dealership's quote. How are you "matching" the price if you are trying to charge extra?? Anyway, I sent them the quote and they later called me to say they couldn't match it, again wasting my time! Do yourself a favor and AVOID this dealership. I am not sure if this happened to me because I went in by herself, or if they just thought I was naive, or maybe even both! There are many other Subaru dealerships that you can get a better deal from. To all the people who think they got great deals from this place, make sure you get a 2nd, 3rd, or even a 4th quote! Always do your research before going in to purchase cars because if you don't you might end up paying much more for a car you could've gotten a better deal on.

This is an update from my previous review...after we bought the car we notice a blemish in the paint so we contacted Frank ,our sale rep. And he told me to bring the car in to have the tech look at it I said to myself..here we go I might have to eat my fist review about this place.well...the tech told me that the blemish is under the paint and I need to leave the car there ..Frank got me in touch with the manager ,George Pena who assured me that they will do whatever it takes to make this right and went out of his way to take me down to their car loaner facility and personally got me a loaner to drive around while my car is being repaired..this is what the ideal customer service is all about..you can say that they sold me a car that had blemish on it but to me there's nothing that they could control .it came from factory that way and all they could do is making it right ...which they did..I just picked up my car and they did a great job... that says a lot for their long ivory if this dealer..once again ,I feel even better about purchasing ny car here ..Frank..and George you guys did not disappoint me thanks ,keep up the good work!

My wife and I went to other subaru dealers to check out the foresters but we didn't buy from aof them .we were ready to just give up and wait till next year to buy the car. Then , we rememberethat we had gone to Koppel a few weeks prior and the sale person, Ashley, was very nice to us and we decided to return to Koppel and give it another try but when we went there she was not there . So we ended up being helped by this very pleasant young man, Frank Pascale, he was very helpful in explaining the features of the car we wanted to buy and at no time did we ever felt like we were being pressured in to buying anything which I thought was very repeat full to us.i knew I wanted to buy the car here ,and we did..when it came time to process our finance deal we were hit with another pleasant surprise by the name of Maureen Heffernan..and very nice financial manager . She was also helpful and got us a very good deal on our rate and she walked us through the whole process painlessly . Before we knew we were done with everything and we took our new car home. We ve bought new cars and had gone to this process many times but this was very pleasant and easy for us...we would definitely recommend this pe and these people for a) our friends to see if they ever need to buy cars.Ccars.Chalk one up for Koppel subaru, you put the right people in the right places.

Dealt with Ashley, Maureen and also the general manager. Very professional service. Wanted a more efficient AWD vehicle and the high level of customer service in this place assured me that I can work with them. I leased the car at a fair price, had no unpleasant surprises while dealing with any of them and am amazed of how well everyone there does their job. I have not dealt with the service department, however, getting the vehicle from these guys was an absolute pleasure.Ashley was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. She more or less LISTENED to what we needed and delivered. You don't see this very often in this industry. Straight forth with us from beginning to end. She was a pleasure to deal with and at times felt as if we were chatting with a friend, rather than a car salesperson. Make no mistake, the lease price was also very fair. Maureen was incredibly pleasant and did her job very well. Explained to us the numbers and answered any and all questions that we had. Even on a busy Saturday, she did not stop short of delivering an amazing customer experience for us. Went above and beyond to get us the car the way we wanted it to be and actively worked with the manager and Ashley on our deal. I usually do not write reviews but was compelled to do so due to the amazing customer experience that this team provided us with. Car shopping is always stressful, even when you know what to expect and have done your homework. They tried their best to make it a smooth, pleasant and fair transaction. That resulted in a very happy customer!! Thanks guys!

My family and I were shopping around for a car for myself and came to Koeppel Subaru only because my brother wanted to window shop there. We were met by Kenneth and he took us around to provide information for many of the vehicles that they had on the floor. I told Kenneth what I was generally looking for in a vehicle and we ended up looking at the XV Crosstrek. The vehicle setup that I wanted wasn't available so we went through the process of building a custom vehicle and we negotiated a price that I was content with. We spent a lot of Kenneth's time that day but he was very happy to accommodate us throughout our time at the dealership. After the order was placed, I forgot to ask Kenneth to change the mirror to an auto-dimming mirror. I emailed him and he responded fairly quickly, informing me that he was able to ask his manager for this change and they successfully added it to my order. When the car came in after roughly 6 weeks from Japan, Kenneth went above and beyond to contact my insurance company before I even met with him to sort out my car details with my insurance company. When I went to pick the car up, he ran me through the features of the new car and going through the financing was a breeze. They were able to set me up quickly and I have to say that I was pretty content with my experience with Kenneth and the others that I dealt with at Koeppel Subaru. Compared to my experience at another dealership closer to my house, this dealership impressed me a lot. Thank you!

My daughter and son in-law decided it was time for me to say goodbye to my 1999 Town and Country ltd. I expressed how much I like Subaru so they went on the search and found my 2011 Forester. Car was finance paid for all the services, extra warranty, new inspection, registration, title etc. To this date and almost three months later two temporary window registration the car is still not registered with the DMV. A lot of bs about problems with the tittle. Can this dealer be trust? You decide.

I totaled my Audi and decided to go with Subaru. Since I had no car, I needed one ASAP. Koeppel was the only dealer in 20 mile radius with stock I wanted. I got contacted by the online sales team, who scheduled an appointment for next day. Came to dealership, was greeted by Sales Person (Sergei), shown the cars available to understand the choices, sat down and signed sales paperwork all in under 20 mins. I indicated that I needed car ASAP - was able to drive it off the lot same day. Sergei took good care of me - no pressure sale, reasonable price with minimal haggling, no attempt to upsell addl crap (vin etch, rust proofing, etc). Sergei then took the time to review car features and do a walkthrough with me, got my plates installed, switched insurance and I was on my way in my new Subaru Legacy 3 hrs after getting to the dealership. Very happy w Sergei as the sales rep, Maureen Heffernan who handled the financial paperwork - both were easy and pleasant to deal with. Overall dealership is nice and has decent inventory by NYC standards. I was able to conduct few business meetings on the phone in the waiting room, so no complaints there.

So my father and I were desperately looking for a new car since we sold our old car. We went to so many dealers and all them around northern blvd were just a waste of time with unreasonable prices for thier cars. We were about to head home till we finally found Koeppel Subaru and decided to take a look. As soon as we entered we met with Ashley who helped us out and showed us cars that we were interested in. Ashley was very nice and very friendly and answered all my dads questions and at no point was she annoyed. She wasn't annoying nor was she forcing us to buy this one particular car we were fond of and she gave us a few days to think about. Eventually a few days later we go back and we got a great price car thanks to Ashley and my dad purchased the car on the spot. Ashley helped us with everything and made all the paperwork as pleasant as possible and we're very grateful for her and Koeppel Subaru. Thanks for an amazing car buying experience and an amazing car!

(This review is long overdue but better late than never!!) I had a great experience with Sergey in Sales, Maureen in Finance, and the guys in the service center, specifically Miguel, at Koeppel a couple of months ago (6/2014). Closing the deal on my Subaru was quick and painless. I unfortunately ended up getting a flat on the used (but amazing - only 20k miles) 2009 Impreza that I bought from Koeppel, the same night that I took the car home. It was a combination of the good looking but delicate after market 18" rims that car came with, and the good old smooth streets of Brooklyn. I brought the car back to Koeppel the next day to see about having the tire replaced, and not only did Sergey offer to have the tire replaced, he offered to swap the after markets for the original stock 16" rims, which I was absolutely thrilled with. As if that weren't awesome enough, Miguel in the service dept hooked me up with a BRAND NEW Subaru CrossTrek (only had 8 miles on it. 8!!!) as a loaner to get me through the weekend. All in all I was very happy with the crew at Koepell. I feel that they went above and beyond to make me happy. They looked out for me, which I appreciated. I will go back to them and I recommend that you go to them too!

Unfortunately, i made a big mistake in going to this dealership. They are the slimy, sleazy type of dealership that will tell you anything they think you want to hear and will not follow through with their promises. Tom was the sales person i dealt with and was great in the beginning especially when i put down my 2k. He first said he would get a specific type of car i wanted they said he never said that, only said he would "try". He was rude, condescending and not professional at all. I also had the displeasure of dealing with Maureen, who would say she would call me back and never made any attempts of communicating with me. She also had the nerve to tell my husband she tried calling me and never did, no message- nothing! The only good thing about this whole experience was that it was taught me alot of what not to do and not put up with. Thankfully i went to Star Subaru and was able to purchase my car and everything about them was wonderful!

The actual buying experience was surprisingly non-stressful. David, the salesman, was thoughtful and considerate - and did not pressure me to buy. The Finance Manager, Maureen, was thorough and very knowledgeable. There was a slight mishap at the dealership (I won't go into detail) but I have to say it was immediately taken care of by all involved and the result is that I have a very good car and I am pleased with all at Koeppel.

I came in to check on the cars, to take a road test (if possible). Real buyer (but not right away). I was just shopping around. My experience: salesman tried to behave like he's doing me a favor on every step of the show. A lot of obstacles to take a test. I decided to leave. Not coming back. We make a contract, an arrangement for services. I pay you this, and you agree to provide that. In almost every human transaction we allow trust to rule. I hope you will agree with me that when that trust is threatened we are in a dark area, one not easily recovered from.On March 21st, 2014, I brought my 2010 Subaru Outback to Koeppel Subaru for 4 new tires as well as an alignment. The cost of the service was $858.14. I picked up the car that evening and immediately sensed something wrong. The tires were all new and in great shape but the car was handling in a sluggish way. As I was on Northern Boulevard I credited the road for the issue. That evening my wife and I drove up to the Catskills, driving mainly on I-87, the New York Thruway, and found that the alignment had not been done, or had been done very poorly. In fact the car was veering to the left and then to the right.The next morning, Saturday, I spoke with the service advisor Miguel Enriquez. I explained that in my opinion that the alignment had not been done. How else could one account for the constant veering to the left or right? Miguel seemed to feel that the alignment was done, and in fact offered that he saw them do it. As far as I understand the alignment was not done at the Subaru dealership, but at a trusted partner.On Tuesday March 25th, I brought the car back to Koeppel Subaru, where once again I was told that the alignment had been done; however, they were going to fix it. At 3:06PM, I received a call from the Service Advisor. They took the car to yet another shop and found that there was indeed something wrong with the initial alignment. That evening I picked up the car, spoke with two more folks at Subaru, who still insisted that the alignment had been done, even after their foreman drove it and then brought it to another vendor for an alignment. What strikes me in all of this is not once did anyone offer an apology. In view of the circumstance I would have thought that was the least they could do.My wife and I love our Subaru; we hope it will be our last car. We tend to it with great care and have placed our trust in the service schedule prescribed by Subaru. At this time I have lost faith in Koeppel Subaru. Nino Tirburzi (Sales) and Maureen Heffernan (Finance) truly deserve a 5-star rating for their services. Nino (Sales) was excellent all around, specifically he tries his best to attend your every need and has some of the best customer service skills I have experienced in any service industry. He is very knowledgeable on the technical specifications of the cars he sells. He is also honest and genuine two words not often synonymous with car sales. Maureen (Finance) was very knowledgeable and easy-going in processing my Finance application. Maureen works with numerous banks and has made the application process and procedure very easy to understand and follow. Just like with any major purchase you should come prepared to do business and if you do Maureen will reward your efforts. These guys truly are the best in their respective platforms. I'm so glad that I purchased my car here. Buying a car has never been so pleasant!!!!

I was getting some warning lights on my relatively new Subaru. Heading out of town in a few days so I needed help fast. My closest dealer, Bay Ridge Subaru, couldn't be bothered - they offered an appointment time that was 10 days away.Koeppel gave me a decent appointment date, turned around the car quickly, and were pretty nice about it. My one gripe would be that there are times during the day when nobody from service is answering the phone - I had to try them a handful of times in order to get that appointment. But, I'm glad I persevered.

I have been shopping around for a new car for quite some time now and have been interested in the WRX. I came into Koppel Subaru out on a limb to see what they had/offered. After a few seconds of looking around, I was approached by Sergey, asking me if I needed any help. I told him my situation, and what I was looking for. He showed me the wrx that they had in stock. I asked if it was possible to go out on a test drive. Sergey without hesitation nor being pushy got the keys, and went out for a drive. I loved the car! And lucky me, they had 1 of the 2 colors I was looking for and all the options. The biggest problem for me was not finding it for the right price. We negotiated on the price, and Sergey hands down gave me the best price than anybody else has! So I had to take it! I am in love and thrilled about the car, and service that Sergey has given me. He was attentive, easy going, and spoke to you like a friend and not a salesperson- which I admire since my job is sales too. I knew alot about the features of the WRX, but Sergey was very knowledgeable and showed/told me other things that I didnt know. We needed a new car for one of my colleagues to use. Having bought an Impreza from Jimmy previously I checked to see if he was in and headed over. Through work we've purchased more than 3 vehicles in the past year and I'm currently helping my friend buy a used car. Without a doubt Jimmy is the BEST experience I've had bar none. There is no B.S.ing nor smoke and mirrors. We put 3 quarters into the machine, walked 2 blocks, managed to buy the EXACT Forester we wanted at the EXACT price we wanted and still have time left on the meter. The entire process took less than 35 mins INCLUDING the test drive. Went back to work got the check and left with the car before dinner. I would recommend Koeppel Subaru to anyone who wants a painless buying experience. When I'm ready for Subaru #3 this is where I'll be buying it.

Koeppel Subaru was the first dealership I visited after deciding to test drive the new Forester. Nino was my sales guy and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. During my first visit, Nino was great. He was polite and did not pressure me with the usual salesman dialogue. We couldn't agree on a price after I test drove the Forester but we left on good terms. I decided to visit other dealerships in the NYC area but I soon realized that I should have stayed with Nino. The other dealerships weren't as receptive to my needs and I just felt a poor vibe. After a few days, Nino called me to follow up and I decided to revisit his dealership. We settled on a great price and left with my new Forester on the same day! Nino made my first car purchase as painless as possible. I hope he remains at Subaru because I will definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

I'm a natural negotiator which is sometimes a curse because when I want a good deal I won't back down. I told my wife that we may not get our new car the first day we look because I won't settle for paying me than I think I should...LOL. To my surprise, when my wife fell in love with a car here I was ready for the back and forth that comes with buying a car.. After a bad experience with Bay Ridge Subaru, I did a search and found Koeppel Subaru. Tried to call to make appointment at 1:30PM to test drive the Forester XT at 3:30PM. Went to voice mail. I hung up, and started an Internet Chat, I asked if they have the car for test drive. Teh sales checked the inventory and said they have one for test drive and I can go at 3:30PM. So I had my friend drove me to the dealer I told the sales that I made an appointment to test the Forester XT. He said it was sold this morning, but I said the Internet sales told me I can come to test drive the car. All he said sorry she didn't know the car was sold. At that point I was already pissed. Then I asked can I test the Outback V6, He said he have it ,but I cannot test drive it, but you can test drive the regular forester. This is just to say how unprofessional they are. I am very interested getting the Forester XP, but the bad experience with Koeppel Subaru and Bay Ridge Subaru make me to think about their customer service.

I worked primarily with Sergey Nikolenko but also with Jimmy Bozza, the sales manager and Maureen Heffernan, the business manager. All were very easy to work with and made buying my new Impreza absolutely tension-free. Indeed, I had called before arriving at the dealership indicating that I was interested in the hatchback and when I arrived Sergey had the model and color I wanted in the showroom. I bought it. All were as accomodating as could be and saw to it that the purchase of the car was easy. Sergey did all he could to put me at ease, and to explain every detail about the car. He drove me to the bank so I could deal with the payment of the car, he and Jimmy took my 14 year old trade-in off my hands and even gave me the dollar value of its worth; indeed they all did everything they could to just make the purchase easy and fast. The group was as friendly as you could want. I love driving the Impreza. I live in Manhattan and Koeppel Subaru is in Long Island City--but it is a quick drive from mid-Manhattan. I would recommend Koeppel Subaru to anyone interested in buying a new car. I have had no experience yet with the service department but if, as I assume, it is anything like the dealership itself I will be absolutely delighted. Our experience at Koepel was friendly,professional and extremely satisfying. Nino Tribuzi was wonderful from beginning to end of our purchase. Koepel was our first dealer stop and had clearly planned to visit Honda right after. We never made it to Honda. Nino walked us through all the benefits of the Forester Touring .and let us test drive it with him. We were only interested in the sage green color and could not wait to special order. Nino's general manager searched two times to find the car in the area and did. We picked the car up today and love it. We were concerned about changing from an MDX to the Forester but have to say it is more comfortable by far. The ride and responsiveness is far better. Maureen Heffernan, the business manager, was very friendly, informative and clearly fully on top everything, She really helped us to understand and pick all the warranties and services we needed and it was fun.Thank you all and we will see you at our first servicing.

After searching for a variety of compact hatchbacks and having experienced some frustrating encounters with various NYC dealerships, I unexpectedly had a very positive experience at the LIC Subaru dealership. My initial inquiry was generated via email, which was responded to within an hour by Nino Tirburzi at the dealership. We worked out some preliminary numbers via email to see if the car(s) were within my price range - which was followed up with an appointment that evening. Nino was prepared with price and specifications information and had a car ready for a test drive (unlike 3 other dealerships I went to where they *promised* these things and failed to deliver - pulling the old foot in the door technique).Although I went in there with a little bit of an attitude since I was so fed up with the car buying experience, Nino was patient, wasn't pushy and helped me find a car that matched my price and requirements. He also outlined the financials of leasing vs buying which I was conflicted about. My only frustration was that the car was delivered after the expected date. In all fairness, it was only 3 days outside the window, and the dealership was misinformed from the shipping company. I was anxious to have the car, which added to the frustration. In hindsight, it wasnt a big deal. When I picked up the car, Nino provided a full walk through of the car and highlighted some of the features (even set up my Bluetooth for me).5 weeks later, Im happy with the car (impreza hatchback) and experience. Nino has followed up with me twice to check on my satisfaction and inquire if there were any issues he could help with. Im pleased to say I have had zero issues or complaints. Im hopeful for positive experiences moving forward.

After a lot of research I found myself over at Koeppel Subaru out in Long Island City. When I got to the dealership I was immediately approached by the sales consultant Nino which was very rare because a lot of other dealerships ignored me and let me walk around without a care. Nino sat down and took the time to find me the car that best fit my needs. They had many cars in inventory and were very flexible with the prices. After working out all the kinks we started the whole car buying purchase. Nino did offered to even let me take the car home the same day and told me that he would have me in and out of there within a couple of hours so I wouldn't have to come back another day and get it all out of the way. Also when I got into the financing office the manager Maureen was fantastic. Very nice and showed me all the different options as far as payments and money down as well. The whole process with perfect from A to Z. I highly recommend this dealership there whole staff was great. A truly great, great experience with my new Subaru!!! I didn't plan on buying a new car for myself. I was helping my fiance buy her new car because she lost hers in hurricane Sandy. We are on a tight budget as we are both NYC School Teachers. Well, let me tell you that when Sergey showed us the new Crosstrek it peaked our interest. The salesman went over all the great options that the car had, and he had great knowledge, expertise and he was so enthusiastic about it I said "let me keep an open mind." Well, the car is just as he said it would be, WONDERFUL! In fact, it was so wonderful that we bought two from him on the same day. He worked hard with the manager to give me a good buyout rate on my old car and worked out a great deal on the new Crosstrek. Not only are we both so happy with our cars but, if we have any problem in trying to figure out something we just call Sergey and he goes the extra mile to help us in every way if we don't understand how to use any of the cool gadgets. WOW!!! What a truly great, great first experience with Subaru and the sales team!

Buying a car doesn't get any easier or more pleasant than this. We were in the market for a new family car, and we were never pressured to upgrade to something we couldn't afford. Nino Tiburzi was our sales advisor, and he went out of his way on a number of occasions to help us find the right car, including calling us the day that our expected car came in. There was no pressure at any point in the process. Nino, did not mind at all, that a few members of the family consulted with him (surprisingly he identified with us and related to the fact that buying a car is a "family affair"). Let me start I had agreed on a price wrx at star subaru, when I went to go pick up the car, the price all of a sudden has changed. I walked out furious, this is the second time I have dealt with star with the same issue. What a surprise,that Hyung Kim at Koeppel Subaru had the same exact wrx I was looking for, the price was matched and I drove out with the car in a few hours, what an experience at Koeppel Subaru I didn't have to haggle about the price and most important of all the experience I had. My wife and I had great experience buying a Subaru Outback recently from this Koeppel Subaru dealer. First, we called over the phone if the car we're looking for(on their website) was available. We came and the salesman, Sergey Nikolenko, really helped us to make long lasting experience so nice. We tested drive the car and we really fell in love with this car. Sergey did not push or hassle us like other salesman to force us to buy the car but again with this Subaru Outback he didn't have to because the car sold itself. It had a nice features, roomy (for not so large car), and fit our budget. We put the deposit on that same day and came back the next day and we're out with the new Subaru Outback with the great help of Maureen Hefferman to seal the deal.I wrote this review about three months after we bought the Outback and we are really happy with this car. It's fuel efficient, drive very smoothly and roomy inside. Subaru thought of everyhthing as far as making the car so comfy and also the stereo system is good (in contrary to some reviews about poor Subaru stereo system)and we only have the standard stereo system. This was a nice experience we've had buying the car we love..Go Subaru Outback! We recomend Koeppel Subaru and their staffs, Sergey & Maureen, to everyone who considers buying a car right now.

I live in NJ and found the exact BRZ Limited I wanted at Koeppel Subaru. Maureen, who helped with the financing, was knowledgable in her area and extremely helpful. The car was delivered to me in pristine condition. Overall, this rates as one of the best dealer experiences I've ever had.

My search for a 2012 Legacy GT in Silver took a few months. I buy my cars, don't lease them so it's an important decision for me. I visited most of the dealerships on long island to scope things out and thus dealt with a lot of sales people. My first impression of Koeppel was when I called them and spoke with Maureen. She was super friendly and helpful. Right from the start I was getting a good impression. I then visited the dealership and dealt with Sergey. He was the most knowledgable person i had dealt with to date. Most other dealerships weren't familiar with the GT specs. as he was. It was a pleasure dealing with him. At most other dealerships you get the pressure sell from the salesperson who then calls over the general manager who puts even more pressure on you to buy the car. Sergey was the opposite, he wanted me to make the decision on my own and just assisted me when i had questions. It was a great experience. I recommend the drive to long island city even if you live on long island or the tri-state area. It's worth the trip. I know this sounds like a lot of bull#*%$ but it's not, i dealt with that at the other dealships and was tired of it. In the end signing on the dotted line for my new 2012 GT was a no brainer.

I went in to Koeppel to look at the 2012 Subarus, after having owned one for 12 years. I dealt with Sergey,and it was a positive experience from the beginning. He was really knowlegeable and answered all my questions, and stuck with me when I was not sure and came back twice. I feel like he also did a lot to make sure my price point was met. When I actually picked up the car, I appreciated the time he took to show me how everything worked, set up my bluetooth and make sure my every request was met. I'd give the whole experience a 5 on everything, and only gave it a 4 on price because I am very tough customer--even with that, he did really, really well on the price for me.

Waste of time!!!!! I scheduled a test drive with Sergey and Jimmy and had to go back to the dealer twice - both times they DID NOT let me test drive and tried to pressure me into buying the car ON THE SPOT. Go to another dealer and save time.

Jimmy was welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. I say welcoming because he was not pushy or intimidating like other sales men I have had experiences with. He has a very easy going, genuine and honest personality that makes you feel comfortable. My husband and I felt at ease with him and he tried very hard to please us. We were very happy with the way he handeled our purchase and the price agreement that we reached. I would highly recommend going to see Jimmy if you are in the market for a new car. You will not be dissapointed with him or the car.

I bought a 2006 Audi from this dealer in November, 2011. The key remotes didn't work but I thought it was just a matter of batteries, which I replaced the day I bought it. The next day I tried to program the remotes but was unable to. I took the car to two Audi dealers but they were unable to program them either. I was advised to have the car's computer electronics diagnosed, which I did, and learned there was an intermittent fault in the electronic ignition module which was the root of the problem, and repair costs would be significant. I called Koeppel Subaru and at first they just denied that there was any problem, but then they agreed for me to bring the car in and have it checked out by their people, which I did. Their service man acknowledged to me he sees the problem but it not something he could deal with, and the car should be repaired at an Audi Dealer. The dealership manager, Mr. Fama, who was not present when the car was checked out, later stated that he was told there was nothing wrong with the car and therefore they would not pay for any repairs. The intermittent fault in the ignition system, when it appears, causes the car to not be able to start. This occurs 25-40% of the time, requiring repeated turning the ignition on and off. The shop that diagnosed the problem said that eventually the system will fail and the car will be inoperable and so it needs to be repaired. My next step is with the NYS Attorney General.

This dealership pulled a bait and switch on me. After negotiating with Jimmy on a deal on a Forester, I was told that the car was not available. I was also told that the negotiated price would expire before the car would be in stock, therefore leaving only the more expensive model available. Classic bait and switch. I would not recommend this dealership.

I, accompanied by my wife, recently purchased a 2011 Subaru Imprezza Outback Sport at Koeppel on Northern Boulevard, Long Island City. The staff was very helpful in providing us with the information that resulted in that purchase. Prior to the purchase, we visited the dealership several times to look at the various models. Sergey, who negotiated the sale, was always accessible, courteous, respectful, and patient in answering our various questions. He did not pressure us and focused on satisfying our wishes and needs in selecting a model. He provided the opportunity to test drive the model that we were interested in and was very helpful in obtaining the desired color we requested. The staff at the dealership created a welcoming atmosphere prior to the purchase. This atmosphere was continued subsequent to the purchase, by John and Karen when the car was brought to the Service Department in order to add splash guards which had been previously ordered. We anticipate the same welcoming atmosphere in the future and highly recommend this dealership to anyone interested in purchasing a Subaru.

The service manager and his staff went to great lengths to ensure that I paid as little as possible for my very significant repairs, getting the company to pick up nearly $3,000 of the cost. They did this by persuading Subaru to cover the cost under recalls that did not extend to my model year. The car was delivered on time and I even received a follow up call to make sure everything was working well. I can honestly say I've never encountered such good service.

I walked in and I was welcomed by Sal. I told Sal I was interested in sedans (just looking not buying). Sal walked with me in the show room and stepped back and I walked around the showroom (No pressure). He said if I had any questions he would be more then happy to assist me.After talking with Sal and the way he treated me by answering all my questions and concerns I decided to purchase a 2011 Impreza. He also introduced me to Jimmy. Jimmy asked if all my questions were answered by Sal and if I had additional questions.You can tell the staff works very close together to satisfy the customer.I met with Jose, the finance coordinator. I searched for a 2011 Subaru Forester XT and found myself over at Koeppel Subaru on Northern Blvd. As soon as I entered the dealership I was approached by Nino. He showed me the car and informed of his duties which were to collect all the right information from me to help me choose the best vehicle for myself within my budget. He was great from begining to start. I went in to this dealership with no intention to make a purchase that day but with the deal that Nino and the staff at Koeppel Subaru gave me how can I refuse. Two hrs later I was on my way home driving in my 2011 Subaru Forester XT. What a great experience unlike the others I have had in the past. Thanks again Koeppel Subaru!!!

The dealer Nino was very friendly very curtious, respectful of my honesty because I was not at the time ready to purchase a vehicle and uncertain if it would be a Subaru. But he was still very informative about the brand ,answered all my questions about the vehicle. So when I was sure I was ready to purchase( 3 months later ). It was off to Koepple Subaru to see Nino, Unfortunatly they didnt have the vehicle I wanted. Went to another dealer that was closer to home and they had the vehicle I wanted but lacked in customer service. Went back home , rethicking of which vehicle to purchase between the Outback or the Forester because I really wanted a Forester , Nino gave me a call to see how I was making out with the purchase of a vehicle. two hours later I was back at Koeppel and purchased an Outback.

EVERYTHING was great! Totally exceeded expectations. First car purchase on my own and Nino was there every step of the way. No pressure was felt at all during the process. All the numbers were laid out in front of me and explained, rather than trying to hide anything in the paperwork. Nino and the team were EXCELLENT and deserve much respect. Salesperson was great. Very helpful even after I leased the vehicle. My only concern was that I was told that the vehicle was "wired for satellite radio". The salesperson was just as surprized to learn that I had to purchase the satellite receiver and antenna (at a cost of $660.00). The service department made no effort to negotiate a price with me about it considering that both I and the salesperson were under the assumption, at the time of the lease signing, that all I had to do was transfer the satellite service from my old car. I was not happy about this and, had I known prior to the lease signing, I may not have considered the transaction.

I was very clear and specific on what I wanted, basically I have supporting emails indicating my wishes, I am in sales and I specifically wanted a navigation system. The day of delivery I had to responded to a family emergency and basically I had to leave the dealership with the vehicle, I didn't check it over and basically approximately two hours latter I called the dealer to ask how to access the navigation system, the response from Nino (the sales person) is that the car is not equiped with one. Nino during the initial sales presentation informed me that he will be complying with my email request and that I will get the exact vehicle I specified in the email. I was informed by Nino that as long as the vehicle came with a moonroof the navigation system comes with it.

Jimmy worked with us, and his boss, to assure a fair deal. The dealership has a good number of vehicles to test drive, which is very helpful in comparing models.

I was looking for a new 5-speed Forester, Koeppel was my first stop since I could get there by subway and learned over the phone that they had several in stock for me to look at. Nino had one ready for me to test drive when I arrived, we negotiated over a couple of options packages, and I drove the car home four hours later with 1.9% financing, better than the offer from my credit union. Simple as that. They were all friendly and efficient, I highly recommend Koeppel.

After much debating and test-driving, my wife and I decided to purchase a Subaru Legacy. We had gone in for a test drive the third week in February and were accompanied by Nino. We then sat on it for a week before making our decision. We then decided to do some price investigation online and got a list of prices from local Subaru dealerships. In general, what we found for other dealerships is that while the price of the car itself was below what the dealer paid, there were always additional fees (documentation fees and something called the regional ad fee) that added up to over $1000. In all of this waiting Nino didn't push us at all. He only contacted us once, and that was after 5 days, just to let us know that the President's day deal would be ending within a few days. We then went to Koeppel, ready to negotiate.Once there we found that Koeppel pretty much does not negotiate on price. In fact, while we were there, someone attempted to negotiate, but they left without Koeppel budging. Fortunately, Nino started off with a very attractive price. It was slightly more that what other dealerships were offering; however, the fact that Koeppel does not charge an additional hidden fees brought the total price right in line with the best that we had seen. The problem was that we wanted a basic-basic model and Koeppel only had the premium in stock (which would increase the price above what we were ready to pay). We were disappointed and ready to leave, but Nino used some creative negotiating to make my wife and I happy. We were able to lock in a very attractive financing rate (1.9 when the best we had seen from any other source was 3.3) which saves us money. He also threw in some free servicing. All in all, we were very happy with the price, as, in total we paid what we were hoping to and got "more" car for the money even if we did end up with some extra features that we didn't want.This brings me to what was basically the only problem with the deal, and it is a small one. The car, and from what I could tell, all of the cars there, had a license plate bracket that cost $40. No other dealer had this as an option, not even on Subaru's website. Its an extremely small expense, but one that seems unnecessary and can't be avoided here.Our experience was great and I do not hestitate to recommend Koeppel. They will offer you a good price and an excellent deal, just don't expect much, if any,ta price negotiation.

Clearly there is a leader in auto sales in the NYC area - Koeppel Subaru! My wife and I were looking to replace our VW Jetta lease with a financed vehicle. After extensive searching we found Subaru. When it came time to choose a dealer, I must admit we winged it and went into Koeppel. HOWEVER, from the second we got in there, every one of our needs were attended to. Nino is an absolute genius sales person. We looked at the 2010 Outback Limited. Nino came along and sat us down and answered every single one of the many, many questions we had with GREAT PATIENCE and COURTESY. He made us understand the reputation that Subaru has and also helped us fit the vehicle to our needs. When it came time to get down to business Nino worked out the numbers for us to fit PERFECTLY into our budgets. That was HUGE. I didn't feel like I was playing the usual high/low game with this shop and they really wanted us to have the car we wanted at the MOST AFFORDABLE PRICE. But it didn't stop there... I revealed to Nino the absolute misery I have had in my previous dealings with car dealers and he ASSURED ME that this would not be the case. Not only in sales, but also in pickup of the vehicle and in financing/paperwork. Well, I can tell you that Nino was a STAR throughout the process. Clearly a pro (at a young age) he had contacted me multiple times to make sure that all the information for pickup, insurance and financing was CORRECT. It was, and when it finally came time to pick up the Outback, it was a 15 minute process! HOW EASY, HOW AWESOME! WHAT A DEALERSHIP! Not only was Nino great but the entire staff were STARS. I have NOT ONE COMPLAINT about this glowing group of SUPERSTARS! I will safely say that when it comes time for service, upgrade or another car purchase I will bring my loyalty and my wallet to KOEPPEL SUBARU. Rest assured, I am legit! I am not an insider or some friend of the shop... I am just a regular guy with a budget who needed an honest deal. I got that and more at KOEPPEL SUBARU in Long Island City. We recently purchased our SRX from this dealership and the experience was excellent- the sales person,sales manager and finance manager were all extremely helpful and the transaction was very smooth. We love our new vehicle and would definitely return to this dealer in the future. Everyone was very friendly. The entire staff is very professional and polite on the phone and in person. Anyone in the market for a Subaru or used vehicle should consider visiting this dealership. We had to travel several miles to get there but the drive was definitely worth it. On Monday, September 6, 2010, my husband and I went to shop for a new car. We had four dealerships in mind for four different SUVs. Our first stop was Koeppel Subaru in LIC. As I walked in, I thought to myself, everyone is just going to rush at us to get our "money." Instead we were escorted to the desk of sales consultant Melvin Reyes, a wonderful young man who did not "Rush" us into anything. In fact, when we mentioned that our next stop was going to be to look at a Nissan, he asked if we were going to Koeppel Nissan in Jackson Heights (Queens) and when I told him "yes" he told me to speak to a salesman there named Anton, whom he was sure could assist us. It was like a page out of "Miralce on 34th Street" where Macy's is telling their customers to shop at Gimbles.We did go to see the other SUVs we were interested in, but in the end came back to Subaru that same afternoon. I cannot explain to you how wonderful it was to not be followed around in the showroom by a salesman telling us this, that, and the other. We liked the car (a Subaru Forester), we asked the questions and Melvin gave us the answers. The way it should be done. At one dealership, the rep practically followed us outside asking us what he could do to get our business. I did not like that.Allen J. Called about a 2007 WRX TR for sale on their website. Ad stated prive was ~20k and the car was certified. I called to ask details on the car, specifically if it was certified. I was told it was for 6/100k. I also asked if the price was negotiable. I was told all prices are negotiable. I told her I would be coming and to have the car ready for a test drive. she said she will.Went to the dealership. I was handed off from the person on the phone to someone else who showed me the car. the car looked to be in great shape. I also noticed a dealer price tag in the trunk which stated 18995. I also noticed that the car was blocked in by about 3 cars. I told them I wanted to test drive it and they were hesitant until I told them I was not going to be buying a car without test driving it. they then moved the cars and I took the car for a quick ride. we then went inside the dealership to talk price...at this point we walk in and sit at the desk and the sales manager joins us, actually takes over while the sales guy stands there. I had all the info on the car with me including a print out of the website ad. the carfax, NADA values,. etc. I proceeded to tell him what the value of the car was ~18k for NADA. I asked him what kind of deal they would offer. he told me that the 19995 was the lowest they would go since it was the internet price. I told them the ladie on the phone said otherwise and then he said the best he could do is knock $200 off the price. I told them about the sticket price I found as well as the real value of the car again. after a lot of back and forth the guy finally said ok to 18995. still being more than the car is worth I hesitated. at this point he was looking at something int he computer then he says actually I cant sell it to you for that. the lowest is 19995 -200. I said that is rediculous but started to consider it since It was certified. I then said something about it being certified and he says. yeah its certified for 3 months or 3,000 miles. I immediately questioned that and showed him the ad and what the lady said and he said no its only for 3mo/3000mi. at this point I stood up and walked out. I will NEVER go back to that place and will tell everyone I know about the story.as of right now the car is still for sale and still advertised at 19995 and as certified!! that place is beyond a disgrace!

My wife and I recently purchased an Impreza Outback Sport from Koeppel Subaru and were very pleased with the overall experience. Melvin and Jimmy were friendly and very helpful, taking us on two nice test drives and answering all our questions. Roy gave us a price we could be comfortable with, plus the time to go home and think it over. We never felt pressured during the process. And at the point of sale, Alan made sure all our paperwork was understandable and in order. I highly recommend this great sales team!

My wife and I walked into Koeppel Subaru with a clear idea of what we wanted. I had visited another dealer who had brushed me off and because of the general attitude of NYC car dealers I was prepared to have an advisarily relationship. Our sales person, Jim Bozza, quickly ascertained that we were serious customers and worked quickly to get us the car we were looking for. Negotiations were resolved amicably (perhaps because I did not bargain hard enough. Jim followwed up with me to make sure we had all of the paprt work we needed take possession of the car. I all a positive experience. We will see about service. I have had less then completly positive experience with Koeppel VW service.

What I liked about Koeppel Subaru is that I was encouraged to take my time, my questions were fully answered and I was never pressed to purchase the car, though I was repeatedly told that they would love to earn my business. Melvin, the salesman who assisted me, patiently answered all of my questions, and provided me with internet references to compare the quality of the Subaru all wheel drive system to its competitors. When I took the Forester for a drive, Melvin encouraged me to really push the car, and didn't flinch when I accelerated quickly, stopped suddenly, and made a hard u-turn. I returned a couple of days later to discuss prices. When I pulled out my research, including price quotes from other dealers, Roy, the sales manager, agreed to match the best price, which I had obtained from a dealer in New Jersey, and was considerably lower than anyone in New York had offered. The experience was never stressful and I ended up purchasing a Forester that I love.

All I can say is that buying a car from Koeppel Subaru was a very pleasent experience. The sales people were friendly and knowledgeable. There was never any pressure to buy a car or even buy extended warrenties!!!! I wish all dealerships were like this one.
