We visited the dealership on a Saturday just to "look" and ended up purchasing a 2016 Ford Edge. Our sales rep, Pete, graciously showed us different automobiles even though I said we were not going to purchase until 2017. He was not high pressure which I greatly appreciated. It was a pleasant experience and I would highly recommend Kunes for your auto needs. Also, this was the second vehicle we have purchased from Kunes

We had a great experience at Kunes in Mount Carroll. The staff there are all very friendly and approachable. We felt like we got a fair deal with our purchase and walked away feeling good about our new Jeep Wrangler. I don't think I will ever go anywhere else to buy a car. We worked with Pete and he was as nice as they come! Jeff was pretty great too! We ended up wrapping up the sale at 9:30 at night and Pete had been there working since early in the morning. We could tell that everyone involved takes pride in their work and are genuinely nice people. You can't go wrong with this place!

I've gone here for service before (pat and Vinny are great!) but this was my first time purchasing a new car there and it was an equally great experience with great customer service and overall quality. I selected Chevrolet since that was the car I brought in for service, but purchased a Jeep Wrangler.

Bought a new Explorer, primarily over the internet. The experience was good & we agreed on a price. This was on a Friday. On Saturday, we visited to do paperwork and to let the dealership see our trade. We were told that they had to send someone to get our car in the Chicago area. All went well and it was agree we would pick up our new vehicle on Monday morning and they would call when it was ready. Monday came and we waited all morning for a call. Nope, so I called them late morning. I was told that they were not able to get the car on Saturday and it would be available late Monday afternoon. I expressed my displeasure and was offered a free oil change which I accepted, but a phone call would have been nice. I was then told that our car would be ready by lunch time on Tuesday. On Tuesday, we arrived at lunch time to get our vehicle. All went well. Pete went through the vehicle with us and we were satisfied. Having said that, as we were driving away, I noticed the vehicle had almost 600 miles on it, not the 100-200 we were told. On getting home, my wife and I were putting our heavy mats in it and laying the back seats down when we notice some small scratches in the rear plastic and what appeared to be dog hair all over the carpeting in the back. Most of the scratches turned out to be dirt and the hair came up pretty easily. What's the big deal, you may ask? 1) The vehicle cost more than $40k 2) We were delayed in picking up the vehicle so that it could be detailed. Whoever "detailed" it has a different idea than I do as to what that means. 3) It's obvious someone at one of the dealerships was using this vehicle. Why weren't we told that? I don't know that this will prevent us from buying from Kunes again but attention to detail seems to be lacking.

Pete took the time to truly search for the features on Ford Focus SE I was looking for and kept cost in mind. This vehicle was our third to be purchased through local dealership. We now have Ford Fusion for young adults to use and new Ford Focus SE for me. The service staff has always been friendly and honest about cost of parts & repairs. We traded Uplander toward my new car.

Looking for a jeep for my wife. Had a few must haves and Pete Smith the salesman there was fantastic. Took me through the process, listened to my needs and nevered pressured me into buying. Settled on a price and took the jeep home that day. Best car buying experience ever!!

The salesman and dealership were very friendly and willing to work out a great deal. Worth the 86 mile drive for us with the deal we received. Small lot but lots of choices for the buyer. Highly recommend giving them a chance.

We put a lot of effort into identifying what we wanted on a new Ram truck and then worked hard to find the best deal. We provided our specs to ten dealers thinking the truck would need to be ordered. Pete Smith was the only sales person able to locate a truck with nearly everything we wanted and brought it to his dealership. He then provided easy to understand pricing information. It ended up taking us about a month before we could finally carry through and buy the truck. During this time Pete kept in contact occasionally but was never a nag and never gave us a hard sell. When we were finally ready to buy, we negotiated the final price with Travis Prowant. In the past with other auto dealers, the "closer" always pulled all kinds of bs including lying and big-time pressure. It felt like an honest business process when we negotiated the final price and closed the deal with Travis. Overall. it was the best experience we've had purchasing a vehicle.

I've bought a lot of vehicles from many different dealers and this was probably the smoothest purchase i ever made. My salesman pete smith was awesome! As he had to get my truck from a different dealer. He made sure the truck had every option i asked for and was delivered super fast.I will definitely be buying my future vehicles at Kunes.

I live a hour and a half away from Kunes. I found a vehicle online and kept researching for week until I contacted Kunes on a Sat. I thought Robert might think I would be nuts travelling that far for a used truck but after Robert sent me some pics as there were none listed as the vehicle was just traded in, I called Robert and told him expect me Monday. I drove out there and Robert was a pleasure to work with. We were under a bit of a time crunch as I brought my Dad and he had to be back home by 3:30 but Kunes made everything happen. Happy me with my new truck, happy dad got back in time and both of us happy with how we were treated. I totally would drive an hour and a half again to work with Kunes.

This was the first dealer, other than Carmax, that I have ever had great service at. Pete was very easy to deal with from start to finish. He even delivered my car to me after some minor repairs were completed so I didn't have to make the 300 mile round trip. The pricing was great as well. The finance manager was the first I've ever dealt with that didn't make me feel uncomftable or repeatedly try to sell me thing I didn't want. The only concern I had was a mistake on the websit about on of the vehicles features. I didn't realize it was missing until after I had purchased the vehicle. It was a 700$ option and I asked the GM if he could get me a car cover (a much cheaper option) in place of the missing vision package. He said no. He did make some other accomodations, so overall I'm very satisfied. Definitely much better than your average dealer.
