I got super treatment at Landmark Ford. They did not weigh me down with any dickering or waiting. My whole experience here was very pleasant and I was happy. My purchase was expedited in a timely manner. This experience was EXCELLENT............. We started our search for the car we wanted. The online sales representative (Zack Moberly) was thorough and professional. The finance department (Fred Harding) treated us with respect and went out of his way to find us the ultimate best deal out there. The General Sales Manager made us feel welcome and wanted at his dealership. We have purchased from Landmark in the past and it was a good experience. A truck we had a deal on was sold out from under myself and Landmark. Ryan called me and assured me He would get me another and quickly. He did this in a very short time. The truck He found was more money but Ryan honored our deal we previously had made. I was impressed and then I knew I was dealing with a Man of Integrity. I had a serious mechanical problem with my car that I purchased at Landmark in 2014. I explained my situation to salesman Mark Underwood. Mark and the sales manager bent over backwards to right the situation. They gave me an incredible deal on a loaded certified pre-owned Fusion. I couldn't be happier! I won't hesitate to send my family and friends to Mark Underwood and Landmark Ford.

The sheet I received in the financial office described the glass etching of the windows as theft protection. Fred explained this option to me which I understand. The sheet also states that the etching process is optional. At no time during our discussions with Doug or Ryan do Linda or I remember being asked if we wanted this "option". Then we find we were charged $199 for this process. To make matters worse some of the windows were not masked properly and the etching is beyond the numbers - poor workmanship. I also do not think every window was etched.This is a small matter on a $40,000+ vehicle. But we feel Landmark Ford should have properly reviewed this option with us before it appeared on the the bill of sale. Why not get the customer to initial on the sheet to signify approval of the process and cost?By the way, we love the Ford Explorer and wonder why we didn't trade sooner. Bill Busbey

I took my car in for an oil change and that went smoothly. What made the visit exceptional was the fact that even though I gave the OK for an air filter replacement, the tech brought out the old one with a new one to demonstrate that a replacement wasn't required at that time. We bought a new 2016 Ford Escape Titanium off the lot. Our sales agent was David McMeen who worked with us over two very hot July days. The vehicle was marked at "invoice" and 0% financing. While I did mark the price on this survey as average, this relates more to the slimmer margin that dealers have in this day and age. This is the second new vehicle (2014 Ford F 150 purchased in February 2015) we have purchased from Landmark with Dave as our sales agent. We were pleased with the service and would recommend Landmark and Dave to our friends.

This was the first time I've been back to the Landmark Ford dealer since we purchased our 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat truck, back in early spring. It was time for the initial oil change and I was pleased to get a reminder in the mail not long ago. I also had a screw in a rear tire which I had hoped could be repaired. When I called to make the appt., the manager asked for the tire size so if needed, he would have one in stock to replace, if needed. It turned out I needed a new tire and the correct one was ready for me. I appreciated it! (My only regret is that the tire was not prorated as I only had less than 5,000 mi. on it, so I had to pay the FULL new tire price.). I WILL be bringing our Ford truck in for any service work to Landmark in the future. Thank you!Wes & Bev Stueber

Went in knowing what we wanted. Whole process, walking in to driving off, took 2 hours. Didn't have to negotiate. Just told them our bottom line price and they made it happen. After negotiating deal with floor salesman Mark Underwood, i sent my wife to sign and get vehicle. She ended up paying $3,600 dollars more than what I negotiated on the floor. The terms of the deal were changed. The salesman blamed it on the finance person. Next time, will not trust floor salesman, go directly to finance person. I have been ripped off.

The salesperson was excellent, but the manager and finance manager are scam artists. They like to hold onto your keys when trading a vehicle, which is on the border of theft, and bully clients into signing useless crap insurance. They get you to do this by acting like they know people you know or were in the same field of work you were. This is how they break you down in order to tire you out and divert your attention so useless insurance is signed for. Although these useless insurance contracts can be cancelled, Landmark Ford of Springfield Illinois will do everything they can to screw you out of the hard earned money you worked for. My advice is simple: you need to be hard and unyielding. You TELL them the price your paying. If trading in your vehicle you demand your keys back before any further talk is done. They will xxxxxxxxx you about the price you offer and screw you out of fair market value. Do your research on the vehicle you trade and the potential vehicle you want to purchase. To beat xxxx you need to act like xxxx and a hard and cold xxx. If you know someone who is good at this type if thing, use them. Finally when signing contract; sign nothing but a purchase contract, odometer contract and title/ registration work. Everything else is sugar coated thievery in a slithering snake of finance rip offs.

We purchased a vehicle from them on 09/03/15 and it has been a nightmare since. First of all, if they hadn't had a vehicle that I was in love with, I wouldn't have purchased from them in the first place, but they happened to have a used (in my price range) Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, and I was in love with it. The salesman (covered in tattoos) cursed like a sailor and told us he had been to prison for 10 years (also admitting that he went in when he was 15 and served 15 years, I think he likely killed somebody, but that's besides the point). He was pushy, and after EVERY vehicle we looked at that was more expensive than the last, he proceeded to tell us that "this one is the best" "you guys need this" and "that last one is junk" compared to the more expensive ones. We noticed that the jeep had some rust starting up under the hatch, and we addressed this. He said he'd throw in a rust treatment for it, and after signing papers for the vehicle, he informed us that they are not fixing the rust. The next day, the air conditioning went out in the vehicle. Fearful that the car was rigged enough to sell and that we'd run into more issues, we took it back and they told us to exchange it for another vehicle. While we were there, another couple traded in their Hyundai Santa Fe, and the salesman was insistent that we get this vehicle instead. It was filthy from the couple's children spilling food and drinks in the back seat, but they told us we could bring it back for detailing. So, we drove home in this vehicle. The next day, I noticed one of the speakers was blown out (something I did not think to check out while test driving), and because we had a bad experience with the last vehicle, we had purchased a bumper-to-bumper warranty, we called about getting the speaker fixed. The salesman informed us that we're SOL and that speakers are not covered under bumper-to-bumper warranties (even though it was ALREADY broken when they sold it to us). Overall, this was a miserable experience, I was stuck purchasing a vehicle from this joke of a dealership, and it was all for not because I didn't even end up keeping the vehicle that I actually wanted from them. Do yourself a favor and go to Green Hyundai, I've heard nothing but good things about the friendliness of their salesmen and their honesty, I made a huge mistake pulling my car into Landmark!

I contacted Tyler after locating a Ford Explorer in their inventory. We arranged an appointment for the following day, and he was extremely helpful, answering all our questions about the car. He had the SUV ready to show us when we arrived. He and the sales consultant Aaron went above and beyond to make a fair deal that was within our budget. They are outstanding representatives for Landmark dealership. After our purchase, Tyler went over the features on the car and synced the Bluetooth with our phone. He was very courteous , and I would highly recommend Tyler and Landmark Automotive to any potential buyer.

Derwood Godbey was a very patient and extremely helpful. We were looking for certain features within a set price range. He checked daily for us a car and then worked tirelously to get the price just right for us. Within two weeks we drove off the lot with a brand new car when we were shopping for used. No pressure! Great Experience! We bought our first new car from Landmark in 1967 or 1968 and this will probably be out last car purchase. Love my Ruby Red Fusion!

Went in. to buy a ford explorer, jessi was very helpful and very nice, but when he brought the figures out for my trade in and what they wanted as a down payment...i wanted to run!!!! But then Dave came in and helped with the process by explaining a few things to me. Both jessi and dave were very helpful. My last few vehicles ive bought with an electric start on them and i was told to call the service department to see about getting one installed and i asked for a discount, since it was a brand new car, and it never hurts to ask. So i did call and spoke to Tom in sales, who has poor customer service, he stepped away from the phone, twice, without telling me then proceeded to tell me how much it was, and when i asked him for a discount he said that was the discount, he did not try to explain to my why it was so expensive, I had to call someone else and they explained why it was so expensive. Yes i did hang up on him but if he would of spoke in a more pleasant tone i wouldnt have. All n all Jessi and Dave were great, but it only takes 1 bad experience for someone to never return, and that will be me!!!

We bought the extended warranty for my 08 Chrysler Sebring convertible. My top malfunctioned and they refused my warranty even though it should cover everything BUT the cloth. They laughed in my face and said I wouldn't find anybody to agree with me. Very rude and horrible. I did find several body shops to agree but because it is such a specialty, only a Chrysler service shop can do it. DO NOT BUY THEIR WARRANTY!!!

The internet sales department is awesome. Very professional people. Ryan Maisenbacher and Ryan McWherter were very helpful and attentive to any change. Since moving to US from another country is difficult, buying a car in US can be a complex process. The internet sales department did an awesome job and helped making it a very nice experience as it should be. Also Linda on finances was great finding a great loan.

I just purchased a used truck at Landmark. My salesperson was Josh Lowder who helps handle the internet side of the business. He as totally honest and upfront about everything and made my buying experience actually pleasant. EXCEPT when in came to the financial office side of things. I had requested that paperwork be ready as much as possible so as to save some time as I had a steak cookout to get to, lol. After deal was finalized I had to wait approx. one and a half hours while financial office took care of other customers and got my paperwork ready. Althought that side of the deal was kinda negative, I want to stress that Josh did his job very well, making things very easy to understand and also being sure I was happy with my vehicle of choice before finalizing everthing. Overall, I highly recommend both Landmark for AND Josh Lowder next time anyone needs a new or used vehicle.

High pressure salesman who was extremely rude to us. He acted 'put out' by any/all questions we had and didn't work very hard to 'earn our business'. Any price adjustment requests sent him into a 'temper tantrum' where he let us know we were inconveniencing him. I will never step foot in this dealership and don't recommend it to ANYONE.

I bought my Fusion 2 years ago & was very satisfied with the experience. I have taken it to Landmark for service since then, as I did for my Explorer owned before it. The service dept. does a great job, gets you thru quickly, they explain everything, all the staff I have encountered have been very kind & professional. I want to commend one particular person to other customers, co-workers, & management. Recently, all 4 doors of my Fusion had locked while I was cleaning show off of the outside. It was 5:00pm during a bad snowstorm. Inside my locked car was my purse, cell phone, work keys, work badge, keypad code, & spare key. My wallet, credit cards, everything was locked in my car. I went back inside the office, which was still unlocked & called myhusband, who didn't answer his phone. Needless to say, I was in trouble & panicked. Not even believing that they could help me, in desperation, I called Landmark's service dept, if nothing else, to get the 800# for roadside assistance that came with the car. A man named Rick answered the phone & listened to my sad story. Unbelievably, he didn't just give me the 800#, he also offered to find & search thru the paper files from 2 yrs ago, to find my keypad code. He called me back & gave it to me, and it worked!!! Rick definitely went way above & beyond what is expected. Since it was after 5:00, during a snowstorm, I'm sure he wanted to go home. I have been in customer service for many years & I know what he did was excellent. Management at Landmark should feel proud to have someone of his caliber working for them, as customer service is the #1 strength of any business. Thank you, Rick, for your help in a very difficult situation. Because of this experience, I will be making a point of referring customers there for service & purchases.

I would like to thank Ray and Josh for helping me buy my 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander SE!!! These guys, from the start, were up front and honest with me. I can't say how much that means to me. They helped me get the price that i needed for my trade-in and the payments that i wanted on my new vehicle. These two were very personable and funny and down to earth. I was searching on the internet for vehicles on cars.com and came across this Mitsubishi that caught my eye. I won't lie, the price caught my eye at first! I decided to go in to Landmark Ford and take a test drive, so i called and was transferred to Ray. Ray was pleasant and scheduled me a test drive in between my two jobs. I got there around 1:45pm and had to be at my second job at 3:00pm. The test drive was good and Ray was very knowledgable about the Mitsubishi and helpful. We returned to the dealership and i told ray what i was trading in and what my payments needed to be. He worked with me until the very last minute that i could stay before i had to be at my other job. By the time i left there, we had a verbal agreement. I told Ray that i would stop back by after my second job and bring my wife to see the vehicle. He told me to ask for Josh when i came back. When my wife and i arrived that night, we took the Mitsubishi for another test drive and all but decided to buy the vehicle. Josh suggested that we take the vehicle for the night and come back with a final verdict the following day. We took the vehicle home and i took it to work the next day and showed it off to everyone and got their oppinions on it. I also had time to take it by my mechanic to check it out and all the cards were falling into place. After work i went back to Landmark and talked to Josh again, who not only remembered me, but started cracking jokes. I felt very calm and casual talking with him and then Ray came out of the office and shimed right in on the wise cracking. We got down to brass tax and closed the deal....very easily. I left the Mitsubishi at the dealership for detailing and i would pick it up after my second job that night. Ray then gave me a ride back to my house and i went to work. When i arrived at Landmark that night, Josh greeted me at the door with a smile and believe it or not a hand shake and a hug!! That has never happened to me before especially with a car salesman. I am a big guy and that surprised me but made me laugh. I felt like i could really be friends with these guys...super good guys! Josh brought my new Mitsubishi out of the shop where they had kept it out of the rain all afternoon for me, and we exchanged vehicles. Josh gave me a hand shake and we parted ways. What an easy and awesome experience....Thank you guys so much!! JOE

In Aug. of 2011, we had brake work done on our 2004 Explorer, New rotors on the front, and resurfacing on the back. In March of 2013 we took the vehicle back in and they told us that we need new brake pads, when I told them about the brake work in Aug, 2011, they stated that they had not replaced the pads when they did the previous work, the standard practice is to replace pads when the rotors are replaced or resurfaced just ask any mechanic.

Scott Wendell orange team took my 2011 explorer in to look for a squealing noise in the engine. It was looked at right away, parts were ordered and the car was fixed the day the parts arrived. I am so Very Very pleased to be able to leave Damerow ford and have my car now serviced at Land,arm Ford. Such a better place to have our 2 fords serviced with quick and awesome results!!! Land mark Ford is the only place I will be taking my cars to from now on.

Bought and after signed contract found where closing mgr. had added additional add-on that was not wanted or needed when checked. Who would buy theft insurance from a dealer as an addition? That is why you buy car insurance, and the dealer snuck it in after the fact and did not note. Salesman excellent and inventory ok. Don't expect anything outside of normal in pricing but location and service on par.

I was dissatisfied with the disconnect between the salesman who reviewed the car with us and the sales supervisor who set the price. When we thought we had a price and we got a call from the salesman that the car was ready, we went back to the dealership to pay for the car. Howeaver, we had to wait about 40 minutes while the finance manager, who we didn't need at all, chatted with an employee. When we finally got in to him, he first tried to sell us a VERY expensive car warranty and then made us feel foolish for turning down a "no brainer" tire warranty. The deal was busted because we understood that taxes were included in the price we negotiated. But the sales supervisor insisted that was not the case, which raised the price by $1200 plus fees. So overall it was a very negative experience. Other dealers we have visited in small towns around say half their business is from people coming from the Springfield Landmark dealership with the same story. Communication is a big problem at this dealship.

I have dealt with this dealership on MANY occasions over MANY years (they are convenient). Their SALES people are crap; from the owner Bill Grant Jr. on down. They are pushy, pushy and their prices are not competitive. I bought one vehicle from them because I needed a new car there and then.Their SERVICE department is another thing and probably the only thing that keeps them in business. SERVICE is fantastic, Tom Meyer the service manager runs a tight ship but the guys in the shop just plain know their stuff. I cant say enough good things about their service department they have been super good to me and very accomodating.If I could have rated sales a 0 I would have.If I could have rated the service dept a 10 I would have!

attempt at second vehicle purchase from these people,salesperson,pushy,threw so many numbers fact figures at you couldnt keep track of deal,change figures/price/interst rates by the minute.called us 5 times in one evening trying to sell us something we didnt want.we told him 15 times we had to have a payment at a certain price and he would say ok and he would invite us to drive the 45 minutes to landmark for a test drive and then we would find out the payment for what he was trying to sell us was $100.00 higher than we could afford.then he would get pissy and pushy .just plain dishonorable people there who just want to make a sale
