I came in a few weeks ago for a problem with my key and the parts area had just closed. This salesman went above and beyond what is job was and he did the very best he could to help me even though he didn't have to. AMAZING customer service!I was in a bad spot and wasn't able to get into my car, but when I got home and tried the key IT WORKED!!!!

Just purchased our second Jetta TDI from Mike, Rich and Marijana today. VERY happy with the attentiveness, promptness and courtesy of the entire staff at LRVW. No need to haggle back and forth, deal was started and finalized in under 2 hours with the best OTD price anyone could ask for. The smallest of items, such as a full tank of fuel, was not missed during the purchase. Is there a third VW in my future? Yes, and it will be purchased here.

Overall great experience. Our family's second car purchased at this dealership. My salesman, Alan, was great, extremely nice and never made me feel uncomfortable. They were able to quickly get my purchased car from another dealer and have it ready for me to pick up quickly. The whole process was quick and painless. I actually had a pleasant car shopping experience at Larry Roesch VW last Sat! The Sales Associate, Allan Guevarra, was so professional and pleasant. He has worked for VW for 17 years and he clearly knew his product inside and out. He wasn't pushy at all, and he answered every one of my questions. I was comparing several different models, and instead of just overloading me with all the features of every car, he could summarize the differences in the features that were most important to me. Imaging that, a car salesman who listens, and is interested in helping you buy the car that fits your needs. If all car salesmen treated customers like this, no one would dread the car shopping experience.

I walked into the dealership expecting to get a decent car for my rather small budget, but Kevin helped me crunch the numbers and got me into a 2010 Jetta. I love everything about the car I purchased and the buying experience was very smooth. I was in and out of the dealership within a few hours with a loan approval, new license plates, and my new car. Kevin went out of his way to make my first car buying experience easy and I would tell anyone considering a Volkswagen to go see him. Extremely friendly and helpful, knowledgable of the product he sells, and helps you get the biggest bang for your buck. I was highly impressed and love my new car!

Everyone at Larry Roesch was extremely nice and helpful. Never did I feel pressured to purchase and they were willing to work with me on price. It was my first experience in a dealership and was opposite from what you "expect". I would highly recommend this dealership and I praise their level of customer service. I first came to Larry Roesch for service. I was very frustrated with my VW and all the problems I had been having with it. Eric showed me a few cars and I finally decided on a Honda. Eric worked with me on my trade-in and getting a good price for my new car. I felt like I got a good price for everything and even more important I feel safe driving now! I made a few trips to the dealership before I purchased my car, every time I went Eric and the rest of the sales team were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a good car buying experience and I would recommend Larry Roesch VW.

I found the car I was looking for on Autotrader. I called Larry Roesch Vokswagen spoke to Ryan on phone and told him what car I found on line and will be there shortly to look at it. When I arrived Ryan had the car pulled up front. He went over pricing and features with me and after the test drive we went into the dealership and met Rich. Rich was able to get me a monthly payment I could afford with a good interest rate. I love my new Touareg thanks again to Rich and Ryan.

During my recent and specific hunt for a Volkswagen Jetta TDI Premium Package (w/o navigation), car salesman Ryan Strauss was by far the most personable and caring car salesman I have met. From his calm demeanor to his personableness, he made me feel very at ease and never uncomfortable or forced into making a decision. Since the visit, he has continued to follow up and share his advice, much less time with me, never obtrusively. I am normally not the type of guy to do a consumer review, but in this case I will. I walked into Larry Roesch Volkswagen knowing only that I needed a car. What I got from the minute I walked in to the minute I walked out was in my opinion text book for how a sale of a car should go. The entire dealership in its whole was incredible. But what really made that experience a great one was my salesman, Ryan Strauss. I was very apprehensive to buy a new car given the nature of the business, but Ryan calmed my nerves. He treated me like I was his brother. Showed me all makes and models, and was extremely diverse in his product knowledge. He showed me new and preowned cars educating me on different financing that was available for all the different cars. When it came time to make my decision it was an easy one, Thanks to Ryan. I went with the 2014 Passat! I received great financing,a more than fair monthly payment, no hassles, and..... I think I made a new friend. I have to say this shopping experience was a very pleasant one compared to other dealerships that only wanted my sale instead of listening to my wants and needs. Ryan Crooks was awesome at his Job. I never once felt over pressure to purchase something I did not want or could not afford. Ryan was patient and listened to all my concerns. After Ryan took the time to explain all the finance options, we both agreed on one that suited me and my finance situation. This is my third used car, and my first pleasant car shopping experience. Eric Lee was the only sales person that came outside on a cold windy tuesday afternoon! He took the time to show me and explain in detailes everything about the car I was looking at! Not knowing the outcome of my visit Eric was doing everything a sales person should do to make sure a customer leaves happy with or without a car! I was shopping for a car for a couple of weeks now and I have not seen a sales person more willing to work with me on getting a car. I drove home in my brand new car that night! I would come back and visit the dealer asking to work with Eric again! Keep up the great work!

I just tried to buy a car from this dealer and my salesman was Eric (with the German last name) I looked at a 2008 Subaru Tribeca and loved it. Unfortunately the deal could not go through due to my credit history. I should mention that the attention, respect and efforts of the team were outstanding. I really appreciated all the options and how hard they tried to assist. At the end it was my decision to decline the buy based on my situation but it was not the delaer's fault at all. If I'm in a better position to buy a car in the future, I will definitely consider this dealer as a first option. The dealer worked all possibilities without any pressure or uncomfortable sales techniques and handled it with a lot of dignity. DO NOT buy from Larry Roesch unless you are prepared to be treated badly after the sale! I bought a used Lexus from them in January and as the weather warmed up, needed to have the AC serviced. To my surprise, there are NO wires for the AC, hmmm. OK, so I called the GM and explained the dilemma, his response was a very curt "sorry, you bought a used car, can't help you" I have bought several used cars over the past 25 years so I fully understand what buyer beware means. I know that when buying a used car, you assume a level of risk that you don't have with a new car. If components break, you need to be prepared to fix them. MISSING components like wiring are a whole different matter! Warranty would not have helped as MISSING parts are not covered. They are a shady, arrogant operation that only care about getting your money. Buyer Beware!!!

They were very kind and professional and didnt push you into buying something you didnt want. They go over all their used cars and fix them up to sell, so they just dont sell people junk. Oh my don't waste your time. These people think their going to steel you trade in. My car is still a High-end CPO SUV. They offered me the value of a version of my SUV that was not mine. When they came back with their low ball offer , I was like thats it, -This was after about 30 minutes of waiting for them to come back with the Value of my car. Its not rocket science guys. I have had this experience with a few VW dealers none of them can tell you a word over the phone, my current cars High-end brand had no problems answering questions, ya VW wants to be premium-Euro economy, but they have some work to do. What bothers me most is their lack of giving me a ball park figure over the phone! If they would have low-balled me over the phone- I would not have wasted , My time or theirs.

I not only purchased a used volkswagen rabbit but brought it in for a repair. My sales person Eric was incredibly helpful and explained everything that had happened as well as my options. I never for a moment felt that I was not being kept completely informed. Furthermore, the dealership sold me the car at a price lower than the three other dealerships i visited. I definitely recommend this dealer as a place to buy new and used cars. The warranty on my pre owned vehicle covered the only repair i have needed thus far. Incredily hassle free.

I was ready to by a used BMW. Since they were unable to find the financing for me (car had over 100K miles), I offered that I can pay cash. It was on Saturday when I offered to close a deal, they said I should come on Monday. On Saturday, after-hours they called me to say that they accepted the deposit from someone else, Needles to say that I was already committed after the test drive and they had all my financial info on file. Very disloyal dealership and a huge waste of time for me.

On arriving the US three weeks ago, the first thing I and my wife had to was to buy a car. we contacted several dealer shops, Bill was the most informative, cooperative and friendly. He kindly found us our Tiguan which was quite hard to find in these areas, there was no hidden fees, and he suggested absolutely satisfying price. Bill responded to my questions quickly, honestly, kindly as well. Though my English is not fluent, he was very patient and helpful. The showroom was pleasing. Luke, who helped us to test drive, was also very nice and kind. We were impressed by Bill and Luke. We strongly would like to recommend this dealer. Thank you guys again. While the quality of the work seems to be reasonable, their billing practices are questionable/criminal. You should go here if you like paying for services that won't be performed. Needed a PCV hose replaced, was told that to replace it the intake manifold would need to be removed first. Thinking I could check on this to make sure they actually did what they were saying, I asked for the old parts back. They said this was fine, I agreed to the (ridiculous) price under the pretense that they would follow through on the job we discussed. When I arrived to pick up my car, I paid my bill and went out to my car. My old PCV hose was in a box on the passenger seat. No intake manifold gasket (which would have needed to be replaced had they removed the intake manifold as discussed) was present. I inquired about the missing parts at the service desk, and was passed a phone with a technician on the other end. I relayed my concerns to him, he said "No, I didn't remove your intake manifold", which was previously discussed and really the only reason for the outrageous price tag. I asked why I was being charged then for labor that was not performed, he answered "Thats how much the job costs." All further questioning was responded to with suggestions of more services my car needed. I hung up the phone to speak with someone who might try to allay my concerns, but everyone around the service department seemed to have disappeared. Frustrated, I walked dejectedly towards the door to go drink away my financial pain. Larry Roesch VW, I hate you.

We went to Larry Roesch and bought a used VW after a disappointing visit to the Autobarn in Mt. Prospect. The difference between these two dealerships is forthrightness and honesty. Larry Roesch has no hidden fees, while the Autobarn tacked on over $2,000 in fees. We learned easily from Larry Roesch that the cost of VW certification for a pre-owned vehicle is $750, but after two hours of persistent questioning the Autobarn salesperson reluctantly told us it would be "somewhere around $1800 to $2000." And unlike the Autobarn, Larry Roesch does not charge $275 for a second set of car keys. They don't charge you extra for cleaning the car, either. Basically, Larry Roesch was upfront and honest and answered all of our questions and concerns. They didn't tack on extra fees. They were friendly and helpful. Their pricing was fair. I would definitely go back to Larry Roesch in the future.

If they're in the business of selling cars and I was in the market for a car, you would think there would be a match, right? Unfortunately, their finance managers weren't willing to negotiate on price. Not only did they talk down to me but they didn't even come down $1 on the advertised price of a car. They even wanted an extra $1,000 for the certification. What is this, 1999? Am I buying a Saturn? No, it's 2011 and we're in a down economy. I guess they didn't get the memo, huh? Oh, well. They must of thought it was my first rodeo and were hoping to take me for a ride. Well, they thought wrong. I purchased a VW from a much nicer dealership 4 days later. Sorry Larry.

We were told to purchase certified that it would be $1400 more ... when I said it doesn't say that online, it states car is already certified and advertised at that price. We were told car is "pre certified." We left w/o car.

I wanted to write this review months ago, however I never found a place to. A few months back, I was shopping for a car and Larry Roesch was selling an Acura Integra. I saw the car and was instantly hooked. I called them and explained to them that I REALLY liked the Integra they had for sale, however I lived over 100 miles away and it was a serious drive for me. I needed to know and be assured that the car was worth the drive. Rest assured, they made the car sound like it was the best car to roll through their dealership. No problems, no dents, no scratches, it was perfect. After completing the extensive drive, I was greeted by the overly excited dealers. I asked to see the Integra and they took me to the back garage where it was. They told me the gentleman I dealt with would be back shortly to show me the car. As I looked around the car I noticed scratches all over the car, damaged molding, and to top it off a couple nice dents on the hood. I wasn't very happy. Once i looked inside the car i noticed a couple interior issues. I was starting to get angry. To top it off the man i was supposed to deal with came in and was in a rush and made it seem like I was not very important. At that same time another dealer came in with a couple to show them the car the same time I was looking at the car (very unprofessional.) While standing in awe of all the happening events, I eventually tried talking to the man about the issues I was having with the car. I explained to him that I had a very long drive down and was quite let down. There wasn't supposed to be any issues. I asked him about the dents, scratches, and other flaws. He became angry with me and started going off about "this is an 11 year old car, it's not supposed to be perfect," and "if you want those dents out of the hood it'll cost $30 a piece, and that doesn't include paint." After raising his voice to me, this gentleman abruptly walked out of the garage and left me standing there with the other dealer who was showing the car to other people. After experiencing what I had, I started walking out of the garage as the woman (of the other couple that was being shown the car) was sitting in the car I drove so far to see. Walking out of the dealership, I saw the man that just treated me so poorly sitting in his office staring at me as I walked out of the building. After walking out and getting in the car to head home I was angry, upset, and extremely let down. I would not recommend going to this business after the way i was treated. The only plus side of Larry Roesch was how easy he made it to walk away from a deal.

I brought my car in three simple repairs and they shuttled me home. When they called me to say my car was ready, they cut my labor charge in half since they were able to fix my car in less than an hour. They sent the shuttle to pick me up and I was back home with my car in just over an hour.

After contacting many Volkswagen dealers in the City where I reside and a few closer suburban locations, Larry Roesch made my trip out to Bensenville worth my while. They did not have the exact car in stock that I was looking for but promised to deliver within 48 hours. I picked up my car the next day equipped exactly as promised, clean and filled with gas. Apparently I'm not the only one who's been screwed here...DON'T BUY FROM LARRY ROESCH VW, BENSENVILLEStraight off I'd have to say I will never buy another car, new or used, from Larry Roesch Volkswagen in Bensenville, and I highly recommend you look elsewhere as I believe that they are deceptive and frankly could care less about you as long as you buy a car. They do nothing to quash the dirty reputation of used car salesmen, and everything to support it.The red flag should have gone up as soon as I sat down with salesman J.R. Roman and was informed that the car was only "Pre-Certified", not "Certified Pre-Loved" and "Volkswagen Certified" as it said in the ad on the auto selling website where I saw the car. What's the difference, you ask? About $1500 to get the car "Certified", whereupon you receive the 2-year, 24000 mile warranty that Volkswagen says comes standard with all "Certified Pre-Loved" cars. Oh, I got excuses for why the ad would say that, but really that's all they were , excuses, for what amounts to blatant false advertising.So, I decide that even with the extra fee for the Certification and resulting warranty, the car is still within my price range. I suppose the next red flag should have gone up when it only took about 20-30 minutes to certify the car. They somehow missed a burnt-out brake light and a fog light. I had to drive back to Bensenville from Evanston the next day to wait an hour to get something fixed that resulted from what is possibly the most basic thing to check on a car - the external lights. General Manager Nick said "Oh, that must have happened between pre-certification and when you bought it." But, Nick, didn't I pay you $1500 for the Certification, not the pre-certification? Nice excuse, but I paid for the car to be certified when I drove it off the lot, not however many months and test drives before I drove it off the lot.Another issue that seemed minor at the dealer, before I bought the car, was the washer fluid being low. J.R. had them top it off before I left. Problem solved, right? Wrong. I'd been keeping the car at my parking garage at work and driving my old car because of cold weather. The next time I went to drive the car, about four days after I parked it in the garage, the washer fluid was again low. I thought, they either put in just enough to get the light to go off, or there's a leak. Unfortunately, as I found out after putting in a gallon of washer fluid only to come back to the car a few days later to find all of the blue fluid frozen on the ground below the car, it was a leak. Keep in mind, both of the problems mentioned so far (exterior lights and washer resevoir) are explicitly listed on the VW Certification checklist, where Volkswagen claims: "To become certified, a VW faces a long line of hurdles. We look for any signs, and we mean any, that the car isn't up to snuff. If approved, we then subject it to our 112 point inspection. This varies from intense on-lift examination to a road test to ensure maximum drivability. We turn these cars inside out, then outside in. Trust us, they'll feel so new, the only thing giving them away is the odometer."Uh, yeah, "trust" you, a used car dealer...it was turned so inside out that you missed a brake light and a fog light. Right. So what else did they miss? Keep in mind, in the time frame I'm referencing I'd driven the car about 200 miles, and 80 of those miles were to and from the dealer in Bensenville and my home in Evanston.Next, after sitting in the garage at work undriven for a few days, upon start the Coolant light comes on. I check the coolant, it's low. That's nice. So when I have it in for the washer fluid issue, which according to the receipt was "Replaced Washer Pump", they check the cooling system and claim no leaks found, although the fact that they say they "topped off coolant", which makes me wonder when I'll be bringing it in for the actual problem with the cooling system.When brought the car in for the washer fluid and cooling system issues, I dropped the car off on Thursday night, indicating that I'd like to pick it up on Saturday. 5:00pm rolls around on Friday, no call about the status of the car, so I had to call to talk to "my technician" Jorge Garcia. He informed me the car wouldn't be ready 'til Monday as "they had to wait for a part". In my entire life, I've never once had a car repair facility not call me about the status of my car...especially when it wasn't going to be ready for 3 more days when I was expecting it the next day...until I went to Larry Roesch.Well, hopefully that's it for what they missed with their "certifcation inspection" (a term which I'm using in the loosest possible manner), right? WRONG. A little over a month after buying the car and about 300 miles along, I go out on a mild workday morning and am greeted by a car that won't start. A jump doesn't start it either.
