Victor and Travis were FANTASTIC!!! No pressure, honest and a relaxed atmosphere. They really did an excellent job getting me into the vehicle I wanted at a price I could afford. I felt like I was buying a car from a friend because they were easy to talk to and didn't try to push me into something I didn't want or couldn't afford which I really appreciate. I've never been in a car dealership where I wasn't pounced on by pushy salesmen so I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the Lassen dealership and was nicely greeted and introduced to Victor. THANK YOU for a wonderful experience that I will tell all of my family and friends about!!

Victor Edwards was terrific for me. He had the exact rig I was looking for. Brand new with wrappings still on it. Only 2 miles on odometer. He answered all my emails and phone calls promptly. He had the whole programmed wired up tight and there were no surprises. Vehicle (4Runner) was freshly washed and ready to go when I pulled in. Very smooth process including financing using pre-approval from another lender. Would not hesitate to go again at Lassen Auto for my next vehicle purchase.

After several months of informed discussions, and because of general life obstacles, I was not able to get to the Lassen Store and check out a Camaro I had my eye on. When I finally was able to get there, that one had sold, but by chance another one came in and took its place. Drove it, Loved it, Bought it! After getting to know Victor, it was like buying from a friend. I was treated with respect, without pressure and even with some humor thrown in. I would recommend Victor to everyone, period.

As of November 1, 2015, they raised the price of an oil change from $29.99 to $39.95. According to a women up front, the business wasn't making enough money at $29.99 so they decided to bump the price up. FYI, this is the cost for a 2006 Toyota Prius, and it doesn't even include a tire rotation or a carwash. I can get my 2006 Dodge Cummins turbo diesel (12 quarts of oil and a filter) serviced for $49.95. $39.95 for 3.7 quarts of oil and a five dollar oil filter is unreasonable and offensive.Also, Lassen Toyota has decided the service interval on a 2006 Toyota Prius is every 3000 miles and no longer 5000, this appears to be a gimmick.I've been getting my oil and other services done here for several years, after this unexpected price bump I'll gladly take my business across the street to Honda where they still do reasonable $25 oil changes.

Our Prius has been serviced by Lassen since it was purchased there in 2008. We purchased it from the original owners and have continued bringing it to Lassen for the last 3 years. Service, never very timely, has gotten worse. Today an oil change scheduled for 9:00 AM took 1 hour and 45 min. They had put the wrong oil in and had to drain it. But no one came out and explained that to me while I sat and waited and waited. The last time my husband took the car in, they forgot to work on our car altogether! He also was sitting out there waiting. Another time they dropped us off at a coffee shop and after they called us and said the car was ready, it took them another hour to come and get us! Time for us to go somewhere else for service.Lassen needs to write down the time customers arrive and the time they leave on their service records. Then they need to analyze these times to see if the problem is poor scheduling, not enough staff, or incompetence. And then fix the issues. And train their staff to be apologetic for even legitimate delays.

Victor Edwards contacted us after going through the Costco Auto Services program to trade in our 2015 Camry Hybrid for a Avalon Hybrid. He was very honest and down to earth without the typical bull we have experienced at other dealerships in the past. After discussing the trade in value we decided to sell our Camry ourselves. It took over 3 weeks to sell our Camry and Victor kept in contact with us during that time answering all our questions regarding the sale of the Camry and went above and beyond o get us the Avalon with all the options, color and interior we wanted as they did not have it on their lot. Working with Victor was a real pleasure as was Steve Goodman, the finance manager. No high pressure sales and all the paper work was done got there to pickup the car. We would highly recommend Victor and Lassen if you are in the market for new or used Toyota. We live in Keizer and it was well worth the the short drive to deal with a no hassel, no pressure dealership..Be sure to ask Victor about his attack kitten! :-)

Out of all the dealerships that I have been to, lassen Chevrolet and Toyota treated me the best. The car salesman that helped me is named Victor he treated me with kindness, and since it was my second time buying a car, I didn't know much about buying a car, but Victor help me go over all the papers, and he was very patient with me. The Lassen Chevrolet-Toyota Dealership took very good care of us, under very stressful conditions. Our options for what was available in a new or used Prius were made very clear to us. We settled on a new Prius 2, which we got for a very good price. Working with Victor on our car options was a pleasure, as he was straight with us from the beginning. He was clear on the phone, clear when we got to the dealership, and clear after we made our decision. Steve was very clear and patient with us in discussion all the financial options, spoke his mind, but never pressured us into any decision about extended warranties or other options. He gave us the space to make our own decisions, while not neglecting the in-house options that he felt would be to our advantage to select.Overall, Victor and Steve made this experience, which was done under stressful circumstances, much, much easier than it could have been, and we thank them both for it.

I have been having vehicles serviced at Lassen for years. On the most recent oil change, a multi-point inspection was completed. By coincidence, on my way to the dealership, I noticed one of my windshield wipers was coming completely apart. You couldn't miss it. However, upon picking up my vehicle, the inspection sheet it said that the wipers were"checked and ok." So I wonder what was really completed on that checklist such as grease, fluids, filter inspections, etc. I emailed the dealership & Mark Flogstad called me. He started with several excuses as to why it happened, to which I said, there is no excuse, someone lied. I asked how I was to assume everything is being done as claimed. He ultimately agreed. To "make things right," he offered me a pair of windshield wipers at employee cost. Not their cost, not free-employee cost. No other concessions were offered. He had a great opportunity to fix the situation and didn't. It was insulting. I wasn't looking for a handout but this isn't the right way to do business. With that, they lost my business.

My husband and I stopped in at Lassen while our car shopping. We were met on the lot by their salesman, Joe Hergert. He showed my husband around the lot and we ended up finding a vehicle we were very interested in. Joe was not terribly friendly and came across as very stressed out. When we sat down to fill out our application, it became very clear that he was new because of his lack of knowledge in the process. He also admitted to being new but that he had 10 years of previous experience, which did not show. Most questions we had he would refer to his manager before giving us an answer. Upon approval, I called to put a deposit on the vehicle we wanted. The lady that I spoke with was very rude and sounded annoyed that I was even asking because our salesman wouldn't be there until 2pm and she said she had no way of obtaining the info she needed to process this. She then transferred me to Gerald, who did happen to be very helpful. Through the whole process we were kept out of the loop and were constantly asked for more money down, which we later found out was because the lender would only finance a certain amount on this particular vehicle. The more money we put down, the more money in their pocket. Almost our entire down payment went to the dealer instead of the lender, which gave us a much higher payment than we wanted. We also had additional "insurances" tacked on so that the dealer could recoup some of the money they were losing. The only reason we followed through the deal is that the vehicle had all of the features we had been looking for. Overall, we felt uninformed and uncomfortable. Not a good experience with this dealer.

I have bought two vehicles from this dealer and both times were a freaking nightmare. If you want to be screwed over at every second then this is the place for you. I think they as a whole company need more training. Do not believe the sticker price on the vehicle either there's probably another one hiding that you didn't see. You also may want to be ready to sign papers 2 to 6 times as well.

I had found a 2004 Kia on cars.com and contacted Lassen in Albany, Or. Victor the salesman called right back and i told him what i was looking for and that my husband also had to fit in it. So we went down to see a couple of cars and Victor was great. We did buy the Kia and my husband (who is 6ft 6in) fit in it great. Even the back seat. The process went smoothly and i will tell other family and friends to try them too. I really liked the fact that since it was my car we were trading in and buying a new/used one that Victor talked to me and answered all my questions i had . It was a nice to be treated with respect .

I'm an international student and girl! For my first car buying experience, I went to this dealer, which have been changed to my nightmare. This is the story: 1 month ago, I knew which car I was interested in, I had my money and the loan ready. I went to Lassen Toyota in Albany, the sale person gave me the price and I accepted it. He said I'm busy today, go back tomorrow. When I left the dealership he called me that we cant sell it to you, because we do not have that car, but we have the same one without GPS with $2000 less. I was happy with the new price and accepted it and set the appointment for the next day. The next day, after four hours waiting in dealership, he said the price is not the one that I told you and I cant give you the car with that price and he increased the price. I was so sad and wanted to leave the dealership, but the finance manager came and said that it is the sale person mistake in mathematics and we will ask him to leave his job for this mistake. I felt sorry for him and I believed them, on the other hand, I needed the car at that time and I did not want to do all those paper works again, so I accepted the new price and signed the contract and took my car. A day after, I went to California and they started contacting me, they asked me going to dealership immediately. By a text he threatened me if you dont come, we will change your interest rate! Later, I found out that they cant change anything about my loan, because I took the loan from Bank. I became so worried and after going back to Oregon, I called him and noticed they did not get the signature for one part, so bank did not accept their purchase order, but they talked to me like I did something wrong. Again I accepted to go there and sign the new contract just because I wanted to get rid of them. The sale person on the phone told me that he works from 9:00 am till 9:00 pm a day after, I went there at 10:00 but he was not there. Another sale person told me go around and have breakfast and enjoy your time and come back later, we will pay you until $15 with your receipt. When I went back to dealership, I gave them my receipt but, they have never pay me back that money! I really was stupid. The sale person was so rude and impolite to me, he even did not say hi .By the way, I again signed the new contract. But, it is not the end of story, unbelievable, they again are calling me, this time they want to change the price of the car!! They asked me choosing between tacking back $750 or cancel the loan from bank and take the loan from Toyota. Now I know whats going on because I talked to a lawyer and it is funny that I was scared, now I know my rights and they cant bother me anymore. My pre-assumption was that people in the US are honest and respectful, especially with customers. But, they changed my mind totally. Im so sorry that I had this awful experience. I hope never go back to car dealers again.

I spent almost a month banging my head against a wall trying to find a specific manual transmission model Tacoma truck -- I live in California and no dealers had it or would seriously help me. Victor not only had one on his lot but immediately found and was willing to trade to get another one for me to purchase. From the start, he listed right out what his invoice was against MSRP, gave me direct and honest feedback about trade-in issues -- and overall just forthright and extremely easy to deal with. Also, he was by far the most responsive salesman out of the literally dozens I talked to about this truck. There were a few hiccups here and there -- but Victor quickly addressed them all with integrity. Really quite a breath of fresh air in an profession that gets a really bad rap. It's is a testament that I traveled 1200 miles round trip to buy a truck from him.

There are few things I detest more than trading in a used car for a new or newer car. The experience is likened to being disemboweled over a long period of time. After visiting several dealerships in Eugene, I was not looking forward to stepping out of the car in front of Lassen's in Albany. My wife squeezed my arm and suggested that I just put on my Big Boy Panties. She said this in an effort to ease the tension I was feeling as I tried to peer through the glass front of the dealership-half expecting to be mobbed by the salespeople who were undoubtedly drawing lots inside for my carcass remains. I made it into the building and asked for Victor Edwards. Victor and I had been in contact about a vehicle I had seen in a local listing. A few salespeople in Eugene had stated that they had a car (a TDI VW.) Upon arrival, however, the car had just been sold a few days ago. Then they would show me other cars that I really wasn't interested in. I expected the same from Victor even though I had talked to him a day earlier. It turns out the car was there! After a brief discussion of why I wanted a certain rig, Victor suggested I look at three before making a decision. I drove each car, with no pressure. He had saved the best of the brands until the last. I was impressed with the Toyota Prius. Having just driven the other rigs, it was easy to compare.Victor suggested we go to his office. It turned out to be located in a spacious area of the showroom. We talked about my trade-in (BMW) and what I was hoping to get out of it. I threw out a figure--and was delighted at the closeness of their counter offer. We were only off by a couple hundred dollars. I need to say that one dealer in Eugene had offered my $2500 less.. The offer was adjusted over a few minute period, and the deal was done.Just that easy, and very, very little stress. Victor Edwards did a fine job. Very little sales pressure, I learned about the cars from the driving experience. The signing went fairly fast, also. Jonah was well prepared and had all the papers ready. A great place look at cars (or purchase) with very little pressure. Thanks, Mr Lassen, Victor Edwards and Jonah the Financial Officer. You people are a great team! By the way, our new car is amazing!

I recently purchased a Dodge Caravan from Gerald at Lassen and couldn't be happier! Gerald went above and beyond to find me the perfect vehicle for my family. This was the best experience in a car deal we've ever experienced. They won us over! This will be our first Chevrolet purchase, but WOW. Friendly, helpful, thorough. It took me 3 times to go back to the lot and decide Yes THIS IS THE CAR FOR ME. Price, rebate, interest, availability were all factored in. DEFINITELY WORTH A REPEAT VISIT. In about 5 years....... However in the mean time though, for maintenance and check ups, that's where we'll be.We felt they will always be available for tech support too. He took time to know us and never rushed us. We felt like we were dealing with a trusted friend as he tweaked the MSRP to provide us a good price for the value. We went to Lassen Toyota in Albany, OR (about 50 miles from our location) to look at new Toyota Prius V's and found the perfect vehicle on their new car lot that met all of our expectations. We worked with Jim Haytas and much to our satisfaction we came to a deal that seemed to work well for both parties. Working with Jim was a very painless, stress free experience. We received what we expected for our trade-in and was given the best competitive price on the new vehicle we found after looking at several dealers and on the internet.The instructional walk-through on the new car was very informative and we feel Jim went above and beyond what was required in helping to set up our phone to communicate with the onboard systems. I was looking for a vechicle because I have only one leg Victor was kind enough to bring the car to my house so I could look at it. It is hard for me to get some where without some one and he made two trips . There was no high pressure in the sale I explained what I was looking for What I wanted to pay and he took it from there.

I'm a grad student so money is a limited resource.... but my wife and I needed another car. So, I rode my bike to the dealership and test drove a vehicle that I was interested in purchasing. My salesperson, Victor Edwards, had corresponded with me for about a week and gave me all the information I'd asked for. He was extremely helpful. After the test drive, he even gave me a "Loaner Vehicle" to return home in while I pondered my final decision. But my bike would not fit in the truck of the car, so Victor graciously offered to bring my bike to my home on his own personal bike rack (after he got off work). He even stayed an extra hour w/ my wife and I to ensure that final purchase was completed. Victor made me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. It was a great experience!

My experience from start to finish at Lassen was great. From my first online inquiry, to the drive off the lot...all was smooth and efficient. Victor Edwards promptly called me back after my inquiry. I told him what I was looking for and requested a call back. He called back to set up the appointment. Everything was as I requested. The negotiations, final sales, paperwork, and delivery was all laid back and enjoyable. I never felt pressured and all the staff was wonderful. I would definitely recommend the Lassen dealership, Victor and his crew.

Had a difficult situation with another dealer about three years ago, my wife and I needed to upgrade to a bigger vehicle and saw a pilot listed on the Lassen website. I sent an email about it and got a response almost immediately. I explained my situation and the customer service was excellent. Worked with Victor Edwards and he was a straight up dude, I asked him not to waste my time and I gave him our budget and what we needed financially to make it all work. There wasn't 2 hours of back and forth, it was to the point. That was very nice. The dealership did everything they could to help us out and were all very friendly. Went in to look at a used car that was unavailable as it was out being detailed. Was showed the vehicle I bought a 2002 Toyota Avalon. Ended up coming back for oil change and a used car inspection and my experience with the service department was great as well.

The Silverado I purchased was missing the rubber pad on the brake pedal , minor item ,yes, But they said they will replace it for me at no charge.. Next time I need to buy a vehicle ,I will go there.

We found Lassen Chevrolet-Toyota on line looking for a 350Z. We contacted through online email got our questions answered right away this was on 1/9 and by 1/12 we was driving it home and we lived out of the area would have been sooner picking up but had to wait out a storm (BUMMER). Victor & Jim,Did an awesome job taking care of us! I got my dream car a 350z,very low mile, and Red;. It all fell into place so fast. We are very HAPPY OH YEAH!!! excited to. I originally went in through the Costco program and Victor Edwards, their Internet Manager contacted me on my Toyota Highlander. He was very quick to let me know my quote was going to be right at the invoice amount. Which is what some other dealers had told me, but with him it was right upfront with no games: ) The other places tried to make me come in first and drive.After talking to Victor, he mentioned that he had a one owner used 12 Highlander that would fit my needs. He actually seemed to care about what would fit me best. I have never experienced a car purchase like this before. I have since sent 2 of my friends in to see him for their new cars and they thanked me for the referral.It was all very quick and effortless. I would highly recommend him! The only negative was that while working with him, his cell phone went off at least 10 times. After the first 2 calls he did put it on vibrate at least. He explained to me that he does sell a lot of cars and gets a lot of referrals. After working with him and the employee's at Lassen Toyota I can see why.

Reading the other reviews, this company sounds like it is not looking to keep customers or create a good customer experience, either way, once you pay them.. they just forget about you. This is a sad excuse for a customer oriented business.Based on the other reviews, I am not the only one to have a bad experience. I bought a car in December 2012 and had problems from the start. At first it was bad communication. Emails would go unanswered and phone calls were not returned. A few weeks after purchasing the car, I discovered that the heater was not working (the blower mortar was wired backwards). The dealer told us that the lack of heat was normal and that it would start as soon as the engine wormed up. My mechanic informed me that the motor was wired backwards and should have been fixed during the initial inspection the dealership preformed. Later, I also discovered that the radiator had a leak and needed to be replaced. And to top it all off the bearing seal on the back axle had a leak and needed to be replaced as well as the breaks. I have not had the car a year and have poured out more than $1300.00 in repair costs. My family and myself have contacted Lassen auto to see what they would do, and they told me that Larry Rumage would contact me to aid in the cost of the repairs. I have emailed and faxed invoices as instructed by Larry once on September 16th and once again on November 4th 2013 and still have not received a response. My advice, deal local only, avoid Lassen auto and read reviews before contacting a dealership. This one has many bad reviews, I am sorry to say that I have added another

In 2006 I purchased a brand new Scion Tc from Lassen. Just recently, about 70,000 miles my car started making a strange noise. I had a hard time trying to figure out what it was. I took my car to the service department for a quick listen. I was told it may be a few things, i.e., brake pads, or "tire noise". I knew he was wrong, but "put up with the noise for a few more months. Finally, it was to the point where I was not comfortable driving the car. So I took it back to Lassen's service department. I went throught the whole story, and told them about what I thought was a rubbing/grinding noise when I turned or braked. After several hours of waiting in the waiting room for a progress report the service manager came into the waiting room and said he wanted to show me something. We went out to the shop where he showed me that my tires were worn and cupped to the inside. He advised me that they had rotated the tires (which I was not happy about.. if they would have asked me I would have told them I would go to Les Schwabs and have it done for free). They could not identify any other problem. They suggested I purchase new tires. When I left the shop the noise was not any better and the "tires" made worse noise then before, plus there was a new rattle noise. I also had a check engine light on. I had them run the car on the scope and they said the C02 sensor was out. It would be approx $250.00 to replace it. Additionally, they replaced a bulb in floor shift light indicator bar. So, after several hours in the waiting room and being fleeced $119.00 for absolutely nothing I drove the car home; where it sat in my driveway for about 4 days. Then I had to take a drive to Springfield. The "tire" noise was very loud, but the other noise was getting louder to. I was still about 12 miles from home whan the car started making a HORRIBLE noise. I managed to limp it home. I called Lassen and told them about the noise. They suggested I bring it over and we could go for a test drive.... HELLO.. I was not about to drive the car anywhere. The next day I contacted a local mechanic, whom we know is good. Within 10 minutes after the AAA tow truck delivered my car he called and said the water pump was bad, and that it had been leaking for awhile. He also said the tires made a lot of noise, but the noise I was talking about sounded like a wheel bearing. My mechanic also said that my car has 2 C02 sensors. Lassen did not even bother to list which one it was when they put it on the scope! So, my guy had to rescope it to find out which one it was. Needless to say, I'm having him order and install it.I will be getting a different set of tires for the car. But it amazes me how it can take my local mechanic 15 minutes and 3 hours to fix the problem for the tune of $230.00; but Lassen charged me $119,00 and missed the mark. I'm glad my car engine did not freeze up. NOTE of interest: I live in a small town, less than 16,000 people; there is another Scion in town, same make and year. My mechanic told me that just last week he had to replace the water pump on that car, which had less miles than mine.Over my life time I have owned several new cars and I have NEVER had a water pump or wheel bearing problems. My Scion only has 83,000 miles on it. Very disappointed that Lassen did not have seasoned enought mechanics to figure this problem out!I will not take my car back to your for servicing, as I don't believe your mechanic's are dedicated to soloving the problem. I'm really unhappy that I had to pay you $119.00 and then less than a week later have to pay another $230.00 to "fix" a problem that you could not find! I think you should give me a partial refund of what I paid you.C. Rush.

We had been looking for a new vehicle for over four weeks and since we had great luck purchasing in Albany, Oregon in the past, we stopped at Lassen Chevrolet. We met Gerald Swearingen and from the begining Gerald was freindly and knowledgeable about the vehicles and questions we asked. We had an informative test drive with Gerald.We met three other employees, I do not remember their names, and they were freindly and helpful to us as well. Our before, during , and after contact with Lassen Chevrolet was very satisfactory. We had questions about car floor mats and Dan Lassen took care of us personally, and very professionally. We would return to the Lassen Dealership if we were looking for another vehicle or after parts or service.

I would like to say that I just bought a new Toyota Tundra from Lassen Toyota in Albany, OR. and the service I received there was excellent. It was not high pressure, they had several vehicles to choose from and the prices I could not beat anywhere. The sales person was responsive to my questions and told me everything about the truck. After I decided to purchase the truck the process was quick and easy and I did not have to spend all day there. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone that is thinking about buying a new toyota. THUMBS UP ALL THE WAY AND THANKS LASSEN FOR A GREAT JOB !!!!!!!!!

My wife and I went to Lassen after having personally purchased several vehicles from them in the past. My family has all purchased several vehicles from them over the last four years. We walked in the doors and were met by Cory Penrod. He was very helpful and friendly. We explained to him that we were wanting to trade our current vehicle in and purchase a car that was sitting in their showroom. We explained that we would only make a deal if they would give us exactly what we wanted for our current car. We told them that we did not want to waste our time if they would not give us what we wanted. Cory had his manager look at our car and then came back to us and offered us a substantial amount less than what he had told them we would accept. When we told him that we would not make a deal, he left for a while and then another salesman byt he name of Bill Goff came to us. He tried to explain to my wife and I that in theory, they were giving us more than we wanted. When we told him that we didn't want to go any farther, he began to talk down to us and tell us that we did not understand what he was trying to tell us. He then started trying to explain to us how a car dealer works and that we again, "Did not understand". By this point I was getting irritated. When I told Mr. Goff that we were not doing business with them, I asked for a copy of the papers that they had used and when he brought them to me, he again told me, "I know it's just hard to understand". I may not run a car dealership but my wife and I both grew up in family owned businesses. I know that businesses need to make money and I do not need someone trying to explain to me in a condescending way. As I said before, my entire family has purchased many vehicles from Lassen in the past but after that experience, they lost alot of business that day. No one from my family will be back there again. Not even for an oil change.

After making contact with at least 5 other Toyota Dealers, including our local Toyota dealership in Eureka, California, my husband and I drove from the Eureka area to Lassen Chevy-Toyota (some 670 miles North of us) to purchase our vehicle. Why? Because they had the exact vehicle on their lot that we wanted; exactly as promised. We became extremely tired of hearing from other dealerships that our white 2010 Toyota Camry, 4-cylinder, with Package 2, Package 3 and Navigation DID NOT exist; or that it had not been released in this (Toyota) region; or, that some other dealer had the vehicle and they could get it 'but wouldn't we rather have the 6-cylinder that they had on their lot'? We were very close to giving up on the purchase of my dream car and buy another make and model car. However, a fleet manager at the Toyota dealership in Stockton, California (about 300 miles South of us) stated that his computer showed the exact vehicle in Albany, Oregon at Lassen's, The fleet manager was kind enough to pro-offer Lassen's telephone number. Our first contact with Mr. Goff was what we like to call 'the perfect connection'. I requested the vehicle's information be e-mailed to me.
