Cody at Lester Glenn Subaru made the “not so fun” experience of car shopping so pleasant and easy that I would absolutely recommend visiting him if shopping for a Subaru. He and Jim, the manager, were so accommodating and very transparent about the entire process of pricing and trade-in value. They made me feel so comfortable and I felt so assured that the vehicle and price was fair. No haggling. No pressure to buy. Just honesty and friendly courteous treatment. They even delivered the car to my home so I wouldn’t have to sit around the showroom while paperwork was finalized. Being handicapped this white glove service was so appreciated. Thank you!

This was the easiest car buying experience I’ve ever had. Ron G. was great, he was attentive and I felt like I could trust him and the Lester Glenn. On top of that, Ron was willing to go out of his way to make sure I was satisfied. I was especially impressed that I was presented an itemized breakdown of the final price of the car, before signing anything or getting the finance department involved, so there were no surprises in cost or amount due. Overall I’m very happy with Ron and Lester Glenn, highly recommend!

Had a great experience with this dealership. Ryan was my salesperson and made my purchase very simple. Was not pushy with any sales approach. I could just tell he was very knowledgeable and hardworking. He followed up with me a few days after I purchased to see how I liked the car and asked if he can drop off my plates to my home. Pat in finance made things very simple. Again, not pushy with any addons but extremely knowledgeable and explained everything with transparency. Ladies that answered the phone were great as well, setting up my appointment. All around good experience.

I recently got into an accident due to the snowstorm back in December, and I needed a new car. I saw two cars on their website and I called ahead to see if they were available to test drive. When I got to Lester Glenn Subaru I was met with such positivity, and I can definitely tell you the my experience was great despite being there for so long. I drove both and really liked the fusion(now named falicia). My “dealer” was Cody, and he was so awesome. He provided a safe space for me, my mom, and my little brother to relax while making the transaction. He made a tedious process a really great experience. Thanks to Cody for helping me. I’m so happy and satisfied with my purchase.

So let me start off by saying the people here at Lester Glenn Subaru are the greatest team of people ever. Today I had the pleasure of getting a Subaru Legacy from them and they went above and beyond to accommodate me wether it was with the car of just trying to see if I needed anything( water, food, etc). My salesperson was Melissa who was beyond helpful and sweet, she wasn’t pushy or over bearing, she was caring and understanding and did everything her power to help us. The next people I had the pleasure of dealing with was Patrick and Lindsey from financing who helped us out tremendously , they explained every detail of the financial aspect of the deal and not once were they in a hurry to get me in the car and leaving, they wanted to make sure I was comfortable with my decision and understood everything. There’s not enough kind things I can say about these wonderful people. They stood past closing time to make sure I was taken care of . If you’re buying a Subaru I highly recommend the great people at Lester Glenn Subaru.

If you need service, "Make sure you see" Kathy Ottmer Wow, what can I say the worst case scenario happened . It's Friday nearing the end of the day and I got a blow out. I quickly called around to the two Subaru dealer in proximity to me. 'They did not stock the tire.' I could even believe it. Such a common tire "Goodyear 225/50 R 18" eagle ls2 was not in stock. Especially from a dealer. Then I was told by both of them, I have to wait till Monday. Not knowing what to do, I called Lester Glen... to my surprise Kathy Ottmer picked up my call... she put me at ease and told me they stock the tires and set up an emergency appointment for the next day. What can I say " Lester Glen" 10 stars in my book.... it's funny any can sell you a car, but it takes a special someone and Excellent Dealership to service it... Thanks Kathy!!!!! And all the service staff at Lester Glen...

This is the 3rd time we have purchased a car through the Lester Glenn Auto Group & what an awesome experience it was! Our friendly salesman John Morris hooked us up with Michael Crisanti and he took great care of us. He was very upbeat and friendly and didn't push us in anyway, in fact I think we gave him a challenge! He came through with flying colors. He made us feel very comfortable and relaxed ( no pressure). As stated above I bought 4 cars from them: RAM 1500, 2 Jeeps and lastly a wrx. Sales was an OK experience but when my wrx had a major recall they wouldn't perform it due to the engine modifications I did to my car. Last I looked after I signed the papers I could do what I want to the car since it is my car. Not according to their service department. To make a long story short I will never again purchase a vehicle from them again and hope to discourage others from doing so. So if you have any mods done to your car don't waste your time going there. Lastly, thanks World Subaru for performing the necessary recall.

I came here to purchase a new WRX, a car I instantly fell in love with when I saw my friends. I was thinking to myself oh man, this is going to be a pain. Not the case. My sales rep Joseph Ervin is a class act. The guy started out by making sure I was comfortable and asked if I wanted any refreshments. Then he took his time with me, asking me questions about what I was looking for to clarify my wants and needs. Then he showed me a beautiful WRX in the yard based on my needs and asked if I wanted to test drive it. Ofcourse I did! I fell in the love with the car instantly, but not the color. No worries he said, I have the same car coming in this afternoon from our sister dealership in pa! I was sold. He made everything so easy, and comfortable during my purchase. I deff recommend anyone looking for a new car go see this guy! He got me the car I love! Made it easy, and fun, got me the deal that I could afford. Between him, Daniella who showed me EVERY feature in the car while making me laugh, down to Donato sealing the deal with the paperwork. YOU GUYS ROCK! Best experience, best day ever. I have owned or leased multiple Subaru's for the last 20 years. I have dealt with multiple dealerships both in Vermont and NJ. I bought my first Subaru from Lester Glenn 3 years ago. From my first service until the present, the staff there, specifically Zena and Lisa Gilmore have treated me wonderfully. More importantly, they have gained my trust and that is very important when service people are recommending various types of services and a consumer really doesn't know if their car truly needs it or are they just being "sold". That also had a lot to do with my decision to lease a 2nd car from Lester Glenn Subaru last year. Kudos to both Lisa and Zena. You have truly earned my business !

Buying my Subaru Legacy was a pleasant experience. Dealing with Kyle ....he was professional and courteous. When i went into the dealership and sat down with Kyle, i knew exactly what car I wanted. However, I was under a strict time constraint because my husband is very ill and was home alone. I expressed the fact that i did not have the luxury of spending hours and hours there negotiating...(a very bad experience that I had at another dealership and manufacturer three years ago with my previous lease.). They understood my concerns and were compassionate and there was no haggling. Yes, some negotiating, but over all not a bad experience at all. I was in and out with a great deal in under three hours and i came back that evening to pick my car up. It was ready in the time frame they gave me. The paper work was signed and I drove off a happy first time owner of a Subaru Legacy. And, yes, i will definitely go back there for my next Subaru!

I can't praise Jack Geraghty and the entire staff at Lester Glenn Subaru enough -- they are simply the best! I shopped around for months, test drove way too many cars, and talked with a heck of a lot of salesmen before reaching out to the Lester Glenn dealership. My husband and I met with Jack to discuss a fully loaded 2016 outback, and Jack beat our best offer by over $1,000. He gave us a great price on our trade-in too. Being a 67 year old woman who always dreaded the idea of going into a dealership alone. Since my husband died I have had to do the things that he used to do for me. Well I got my nerve up and went into this and quite a few other dealerships by myself. I was so surprised that I was treated as an intelligent human being and not as an old woman who didn't know anything about cars.This dealership far surpassed all the others in kindness, honesty, and they made me feel completely at ease. MichaelMarquand was awesome. He was so patient with me because I didn't know what car I wanted. He took me out on about 6 different cars on test drives and not once did he lose his patience with me. I was not easy to deal with because of my anxiety but he kept reassuring me that it was perfectly ok to be that way.Josh the sales manager was there and he let mike do pretty much the whole thing but whenever I became insecure he was there to lend a hand. It was such perfect timing. Josh is very intuitive in this way.. Then I met Lonnie the finance man and he was such a gentleman and has a genuine smile.I bought a Legacy and I love it. I was coming out of a Mercedes but felt that because of my advancing age I have to cut down my expenses. This car is much less expensive and I already have some of my friends telling me it drives better and is more comfortable. I recommend this dealership very highly and I also was fortunate enough to meet the owner of the dealership and he was so down to earth and kind.

To be fair its not the dealership that is being reviewed its the employees. That being said I have purchased five (5) vehicles from this dealer all from Jack Geraghty. Jack is an veteran salesman who listens to the customer's needs and there budget. Over the years Jack has NEVER attempted to influence me to a higher price vehicle, we always stayed in budget. Jack is knowledgeable and patient and is honest, he follows up on phone calls and e-mails. Jack has an image that every salesperson should be model after. Before you purchase your vehicle the manager John Puglisi invites your family into his office and makes you truly feel welcome. He reviews the paperwork and he ensures that you have made the purchase that is right for you, not for them, but for you. John shows great management skills and trust in his staff, his staff does not have to consult with him during negotiations. Which makes you feel like you are on a level playing field ,not the dealership against the customer. After you speak with John he personally walks you to the Finance Department and introduces you to Lonnie Sherry the Finance manager and then he briefs him on the agreement so everyone is updated and on the same page. This expedites the procedure. When speaking to Lonnie he inquires about your driving habits and tailors different options for you to purchase. However during the conversation he eliminates the choices that are not in your driving style. By doing this Lonnie creates an atmosphere of trust, because he does not apply any sales pressure for unnecessary items to purchase. Together this dealership has a team of outstanding personnel. Just before you leave they show you the service area and introduces you to Kathy Ottmer, who in my opinion is the best service writer in the industry. Lester Glenn Subaru and along with its staff is the epitome of professionalism.

I can't say enough positive comments about my recent buying experience at Lester Glenn. I dreaded having to go out and replace my wife's 2007 vehicle, but it was time. After doing all my research, I reserved a whole day to look at cars and deal with car salesmen. Much to my surprise I enjoyed the entire morning I spent with Drew Jenson at Lester Glenn. He greeted me with a smile and happily showed me the vehicles on the lot that met my requirements. He was at all times, courteous, knowledgeable and exactly the opposite of the high pressure salesman I had been expecting. I started my purchase of a 2015 Legacy by doing a lot of research online. Being a resident of Toms River, I have heard of others who had a positive experience with Lester Glenn, so my preference was to purchase from them. After finding a model online, I requested internet pricing and received a prompt and fair price quote from Samantha O'Brien. Samantha along with Katie Dorsey were very helpful providing useful pricing and inventory information. Katie set up an appointment to meet with one of the Sales Managers. So with pricing in hand, I went to the dealership and was greeted by Salesman Ryan Hickman and Sales Manager Josh Cavalieri. Ryan went over the features of the Legacy, provided a test drive, and answered all of my questions. After the test drive, Ryan and Josh looked over my trade-in, and provided a fair trade price. They honored the internet pricing and there were no unexpected additional fees. The Finance Manager, Lonnie Sherry, closed out the deal quickly and accurately. Overall, this was a great, no pressure, buying experience. I would highly recommend this dealership to others.

I was ready to downsize from a minivan but still wanted room for cargo and a nice looking vehicle. I went to Lester Glenn because of their reputation and my husband's previous experience. Upon entering we were greeted with a smile. I had done some research on my own and knew what I wanted to spend and that I wanted to test drive an Outback. Mike delivered - what an nice ride, comfortable, smooth, great pick up on the highway. He was able to answer all my questions and then some. I had no idea Outbacks were in such great demand. Luckily for me he had one in transit with the features I wanted and keeping me in my price range. I am now the proud owner of an Outbacki Premium. This was a wonderful car buying experience. I went to Lester Glenn because most of my family has purchased their vehicles there in the past and always gave a good recommendation. I had an idea of what I wanted to spend going in but wasn't really sold on a specific model, when I met Joe, he was very friendly listened to what I had to say and I told him what I wanted to spend, and we came out with a 2012 legacy, took it for a test drive and I loved it, so we worked out a great deal and I was now the proud owner of a 2012 Subaru Legacy! Joe was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle and help me sync my phone for Bluetooth. Not only was he friendly but he had me in and out of the dealership quickly and efficiently (I've heard horror story's about people spending their whole day in a dealership). But for a younger salesman he did an exceptional job and I would definetly reccomend you go to him if you're looking for someone who knows what they're talking about actually cares about getting you into the right car!

Jack treated me the way I want a salesman to. He listened to what I said at the start and used my info to help me make a choice that was correct for me. I was not oversold or pushed for something I didn't want. Throughout the process he kept my needs and wants in focus. He took the time to show me the car I eventually ended up purchasing and explained many of the "new" features that I might not have had experience with such as the EyeSight and lane change assist. When we purchased the car, he then took a lot more time to fully explain the features to us. And the price was right where I expected it to be for both the new car and my trade in.

Your monthly payment is what matters. You need transportation. That's all that matters. You're going to be driving this car in 6 years anyway, right?""The bank already knows you have another car loan out. They're not stupid."Is this guy serious? How does he have a job? Terrible customer service. I was ready to buy the car right then and there. This &$%#at# completely changed my mind. I liked the car, but I'll be headed to another Subaru dealer. Sorry, Kyle. On January 19, 2015 I went to "look" at the 2015 Subaru's at Lester Glenn Subaru on Route 37 W in Toms River. At first I did not see a car that I would like in the price range THAT I WAS THINKING. I had researched the value of the car I wanted to trade in before I went there and I PICKED the highest trade value that I could find. I didn't need a car "WITH EVERYTHING" but I wanted a reliable car that would last me a long time. I first spoke with the manager John Puglisi and told his that I was considering either a Subaru legacy or a Honda Accord. He took the time to explain the quality of the Subaru Symmetrical All Wheel Drive system ( WHICH HONDA DOES NOT HAVE) and offered to do a hands on appraisal of the car I wanted to trade, so he could help me understand the best trade value. Then he had a salesman, Jay Jackson, show me a Legacy Limited that was on the showroom floor. IT HAD LEATHER INTERIOR, A MOON ROOF PACKAGE AND EYESIGHT DRIVER ASSIST. ** IT HAD EVERYTHING ** the gave me the best price the could on the Legacy and the highest trade value that I wanted. this was the absolutely the best car buying experience that I have ever had and I am now driving a car that I get compliments on every day from everyone who sees it, even from parking attendants. This is my third Subaru Outback (2015) I've purchased from Lester Glenn. This purchase was no different than the ones before...."no pressure...no hassle"! Jack Geraghty, our salesman, who proved to be very knowledgeable and patient (we're older folks) made my wife and I feel totally relaxed and made the whole car buying process a pleasure...."go figure"! Where to begin, we went to this Suburu dealership even though there are others much closer to us. I knew after a five minute phone call in which I inquired about their inventory, that this was the dealership for us! My wife and I, along with our 6 month old were greeted by Kyle, Donato and Josh upon waking in, and they patiently worked with us over the next 6 hours. They helped us get our baby seat in and out of cars to test drive. We found our car, a white crosstrek, one of 2 in stock, and they held it until we came back with our trade in. No matter where it was in Toms River the staff went above and beyond trying to please their customers with the good and bad of dealing with car ownership. Returned 2 years later and upgraded from a 2012 Impreza to a 2015 Legacy. Months before our 1st purchase, we met our sales rep Jay Jackson at an offsite Lester Glenn event of multiple manufactures, We didn't go to get a Subaru. Then we met Jay. Jay was professional, knowledgeable and personable & the type of individual I would recommend to anyone who wants to purchase a Subaru vehicle. Our 1st car was ordered a few months after we met and the 2nd car was more of a spur of the moment type of purchase to upgrade to a little bit bigger of a vehicle. In addition to using the cars for commuting to work we do a lot of weekend trips with usually 3 adults and our Yellow Lab Shea and the Impreza, which was a great vehicle was simply just a little too small at times. In both purchases, negotiations were non-pressure and hassle free and Jay along with our finance guy Donato Jensen made the entire purchase & paperwork enjoyable! We will be back next year to see them both about getting an additional vehicle - probably something even roomier for our Labrador Shea!!

My wife and I went in to Lester Glenn Subaru this morning (8/4/14) just to take a look at some new car options. We had no intention of buying a car today but...Our experience started with Michelle who gave us directions and the name of the sales managers to speak with. Donato and, I believe, John. She gave us great directions and was extremely sweet. Set us in the right direction with a very comfortable initial feeling.When we arrived, we were greeted by Josh Cavalieri, who really became the face of Lester Glenn. Josh spent over an hour explaining every aspect of the 2014 and 15 Forester and Outback to us. My wife wanted leather and he found a limited model of both for us to test drive. After discussing the options and our price point, we settled on an outback. We decided on purchasing a CPO rather than leasing a new Outback. Lester Glenn had one in stock that we test drove and decided on.After settling all the numbers, Josh showed us the new car, which was just finished with detailing. There was still a large amount of pet hair that remained for some reason. As an example of the above and beyond customer service, Josh and Donato went in the back and re-detailed the entire car themselves while we sat down with Mike Smith, who handled the finances. Mike was also extremely nice and knowledgeable. Needless to say the car was spotless when Josh and Donato were finished. The overall experience with the dealership was wonderful. Josh was a phenomenal salesman, who never pushed us and offered a patient smile while we asked dozens of questions. The dealership was transparent with their numbers and I never felt like I wasn't getting a fair deal. I look forward to working with Josh again in the future. I may just end up trading in my current sedan for a Subaru.

I wasn't the easiest customer, as I changed my mind about which car I was purchasing (because the exact car I wanted is not at any dealerships in NJ) after they had already begun the paperwork and getting the original car ready. My husband and I are going through a debt consolidation, however, my 2006 Subaru Outback was on its last legs (got 200,000 miles out if it though). I loved my Subaru and wouldn't consider buying anything else. We went to the Lester Glenn Subaru with no expectation at all. We anticipated being told "sorry we can't help you" due to our current credit status, but what an amazing experience at Lester Glenn Subaru. We were immediately met by a Sales Associate, Josh Cavalieri, who treated us with respect and dignity and no regard for our credit status at all. We were open and honest about what we could do and both he and Donato Jensen proved that there are honest people out there. They worked with us and were able to reach our goal (even with a surprising low interest rate). Josh then introduced us to the Finance Officer, Mike Smith, but unlike past experience in buying cars, he didn't just desert us . . . he maintained contact and support even through the finance details. Mike also knew our situation and, although he had to do his job by showing us options available to us, he did not push or "hold us hostage". He was done with the paperwork in less than 20 minutes, TRUTH!!! Crazy right. Last time we bought a car we there held hostage for over 10+ hours. We were in, financed (not leased), detailed, paper-worked up and out of Lester Glenn in 3 hours almost to the minute. We still were able to go out and enjoy our day in our "new to me" car. Thank you guys!! We will definitely be back.

I initially chatted with Stacy about a Crosstrek in their inventory. She responded via email within 30 minutes, was very friendly and provided the information that I needed. The next day, we drove out to see the car but it had been sold earlier in the day. I was saying, "See ya, bye" when Jack said he was sure he could make a deal we would love. We had not driven the hybrid so he took us for a drive. He explained everything clearly and patiently from the hybrid engine to the monthly payments. His deal for the Crosstrek was substantially less than the two other dealerships we had visited. His offer for our trade-in was significantly higher than the last dealer we were at. He was a great combination of laid back and knowledgeable with a lot of friendly added. Mike was so efficient that the financial part of the deal was a breeze. They took as much time with us as we needed but didn't waste our time. The free oil changes are a nice bonus. We got a great deal, a beautiful car and enjoyed working with everyone there.

Kyle Gibson was fantastic. Didn't know what I wanted (Outback or Forester). Tried 5-6 cars with different interiors and levels, .... he was so very patient as I tried each. Fortunately I narrowed it down with his help and the numerous driving runs - even switching drivers so we could both test it out. Was knowledgeable and very accommodating. NEVER tried to be pushy or force a deal. Spent from 12:30-5:30 pm with him. It was at my pace, answering my questions, understanding my needs/concerns. Only when I figured out which model and the feature trade offs I wanted to make, then talked about "purchase". I thank him immensely for granting me the space to go thru the process comfortably. The $3K off 2014 Outbacks, free oil changes/filters for life, and loaner cars is why I drove 40 miles to THIS dealership versus others. Also, they had the most extensive inventory of all the Subaru dealers within 60 miles.

This was by far the best car buying experience ever...and I'm 53 so I've a few cars. Ann Marie Napoli was so kind, and helpful. I never felt pressure, only a relaxed atmosphere where I had time to make decisions. I really went for a test drive, but since Ann Marie took the time to find a car as close as possible to the one I wanted to buy, and spent so much time going over the details of the vehicle, I am now the proud owner of a new Subaru Forrester. She was "real" and did not present the "sales pitch" that as a woman, I can really appreciate. I never felt in a any way under pressure, or intimidated, or discriminated against in any way. I have, unfortunately, felt that way in the past. I would refer anyone I knew to Ann Marie as she makes you feel so confortable in the process of a very important purchase. I can honestly say that at this point, Subaru is the only car I will ever buy again.

While looking for a quality, safe vehicle with at least some of the perks I required, I stumbled upon Lester Glenn Subaru. I traded in a BMW 325 convertible which I owned for over 10 years for a new Subaru Impreza. I must admit I was impressed with the professionalism of this dealership even though they were very busy and the dealership was under renovative-construction. A salesman Frederick Bodtmann IV came out to guide me toward an appropriate parking place and was there throughout the day to listen to what I really wanted; He brought up car after car on a day when the temperature was close to 80 degrees; He was determined to fill my requirements based upon his inventory. He tirelessly waited with me and answered all of my questions and made my purchase the closest thing to a pleasure. I have purchased and leased many cars during my lifetime, on my own, but this experience showed me how honest and straightforward Fred is. Donato Jensen was also right there to assist as needed. Hopefully this Impreza will live up to the efforts of this dealership; Coudos to you Lester Glenn for selecting such a phenomenal team. By the way, my vehicle had 3/4 perks I required at a fraction of the cost. An Awesome experience!

Jack was my Sales rep and he was super. Even though I owned a Subaru previously, our first look at the car was under the hood. That, in itself, was so telling! Had an absolutely horrible experience at Pine Belt 4 months ago where they ripped me off and I needed to get out of my old car. Lester Glenn have me top dollar on my trade and sold me the WRX I wanted at $800 under msrp (pine belt wanted 2,000 over msrp) and they included a bunch of extras ( all weather mats, wheel locks, cargo net) where as pine belt when confronted about overcharging me for my last subaru their answer was " well you signed the contract and their is nothing we can do" so totally recommend Lester Glenn Subaru honest no bull people buy from them.

I've been in sales for over 30 years and I hate it when I am talking to another salesmen who doesn't listen and respect the customer wishes. I went in to Lester Glenn to purchase my eighth Subaru with a high mileage, but otherwise clean Subaru Forester and next to no money extra, only a single months payment. As I mentioned this is my eighth Subaru, seven of them from Lester Glenn, so I know a lot of people there.Finding my usual salesman John had retired, so I spoke with my favorite Service Rep, Kathy Ottmer and she suggested Ann Marie Napoli who was new to the dealership but was an experienced sales person. Ann Marie was friendly and ready to do business. She showed me several vehicles to help me get one I could afford. Then she helped me put a deal together, talking to her boss, John to get me a deal we both could live with. I was not two-faced or rushed to close one time. John fought to get me a payment I could afford and we did a deal.Generally, the most annoying part of the business of buying a car is the money part. Mike their F&I guy was not only pleasant and efficient, he explained everything and reduced a trying time to a brief pleasantness.Not only did I get a great deal, nearly 20% off the MSRP, but a got a great Outback too. And then Ann Marie spent over an hour when I am certain she just wanted to go home, making sure I knew how to operate my new car and all its features. If you wonder why I keep going back to LG, stop by at LG Subaru one time and see if you dont go back.

Extra time to get things accomplished these days is hard to come by. It was helpful to be able to shop from home.Stacy was helpful in giving me information on different vehicles, setting up an appointment and providing contacts at the showroom.Upon arrival at the showroom I was greeted by the salesman Jack who then informed Donato that I had arrived for my appointment. Donato and I spoke briefly. He had been informed by Stacy what I was interested in, my background info and what I expected from the dealership at this meeting. Donato was helpful and then had Jack Geraghty assist me in getting what I was looking for.Jack and I took a test drive. Jack, being a well informed sales person, went over everything about the Outback that I was interested in. Jack and I worked out a deal with a minimal amount of time or involvement from his managers etc. Jack is good to work with and I would look to work with him again when in need of another vehicle. This is my third vehicle purchase from this dealer group. They collectivly and consistently have provided an overall good experience.

I drove a mini cooper and was trying to decide between a Mini Countryman or a Crosstek or a Outback.I was snowing and so we called to see if the dealer was open since we lived almost 45 minutes away. The person answering the phone was very nice and gave us a road report and everything.We were greeted at the door by Josh and he was with us the rest of the evening.My husband already drives a WRX and thought he knew alot about the brand since it was his second Subaru but once Josh started to give us detail about the car, he actually taught my husband a few things about his car that his previous sales person never told him.Josh was very good about letting my husband and I both test drive the cars and found us an area to drive so we could really see the safety and snow capabilities of the car. Josh made sure he answered any of our questions and tried to provide us all the information we would need to make a decision regarding picking the right car for me. Once we narrowed it down he made sure I got the right car and the right deal for me.My husband and I am have bought alot of cars and we can honestly say it was one of the better experiences from the dealer in general to Josh's service and commitment. Josh Cavalieri made us feel welcome from the minute he greeted us at the door, he is excellent at what he does. We visited the dealership on Janurary 31st to look at the Subaru Forester and Outback. We had been looking at other vehicles and wanted to compare them to the Subaru, a car that we had never owned before but knew people who owned them and were happy. Josh showed us those that were in the showroom and went into great detail about each one. Then, he asked what we were looking for in that type of vehilcle, found one , let us both test drive it and let us take the time to think about it, no pressure. We returned on February 1st to purchase the Outback that he showed us. We would not have returned to the dealership if we had felt any type of pressure at all. Josh knows his product and knows how to present it to a potential buyer. We would definitely recommend him to friends and family if they were looking for a car. As we said, he is an excellent salesman.One of the most important things to us, when we purchase any car, is the Service Department at the dealership. It was further than another dealership but the ratings influenced my decision to visit there first. I was impressed also by the quick response I received online the night before by Michelle. So, with great ratings and great initial internet response, I chose to visit Lester Glenn first. Josh was a very sincere and attentive to my needs and I felt so at ease making my decision. I will say, once I got a price for the car I was interested in. I did go to the other dealership just to feel that I was not buying on impulse and investigate further. Our salesman, Josh Cavalieri, was a pleasure to work with. The sales process was low pressure, Josh reviewed the features of the car at great length and indicated he would continue to work with us after the sale. Josh will contact us when follow up service is needed and insisted we call him as questions arise with the vehicle. The price was very competitive as I had shopped several dealers in person and numerous more online. The extended warranty portion of the transaction was a little shady. This portion of the transaction was not performed by Josh. I'm confident the vehicle is "Etched" prior to the purchase. The Etching for security purposes is listed as a feature of all the various extended warranties. When we came to an agreement on the extended warranty, I asked if I would need to make an appointment for the etching and was told it was done. The etching is done on various parts of the vehicle, not the glass that can be broken. Do you think it's legit to sell a feature that already exists? The second concern with the extended warranty is the initial price that it will be offered to you at. Plans ranging from $3,736.44 to $1,813.65. Do your homework on this, I found the same plan for about 45% less....really! I was very easy to work with, knew what I wanted, cash customer as I had prearranged financing elsewhere, no trade in. As I mentioned above out salesman Josh was nice to work with. The dealership as a whole seems like a good place. I'm not familiar with the service department at this point so there is no review on that front. It has been a positive experience less the extended warranty ordeal. Do your research and know before you go!

I rated Lester Glenn Subaru dealership all 5s due to several reasons. First has to be Mr. Dan Duebar one of the most professional pleasant sales managers in the country! It wasnt so much how he treated me that impressed me the most, it was how he treated his co-workers that was awesome. Lester Glenn is known for its positive reputation for customer service and that is exactly what I received! I didnt even get to the door and Riggs opened it for me with a smile and a good afternoon! Riggs as everyone calls him was my salesman. He was enthusiastic about his job and eager to tell me everything he could about Subaru and Lester Glenn. After serving for 20 years in the military and supervising many troops I have seen both good and bad supervisors/managers. I can say with 100% certainty that they have the right people in the right places. Dan treated everyone from the car detailer, to the salesman, and the finance manager with respect and positive energy. I have bought 10 new vehicles in the past 20 years and I have never bought at the same dealership twice. I always left feeling like just like a number on the board next to some sales competition. I left Lester Glenn knowing that I will be back, and I have never said that before. We currently have 3 Vehicles in our family and two more drivers coming of age soon. I will be back to Lester Glenn for my next vehicle. Very positive experience!

Lester Glenn Subaru had the Forester 2014 in the color I wanted. They did not pressure me to take out a loan and were willing to work on the numbers for both the trade in (a Toyota Corolla) and the sale price of the vehicle. Appreciated the low pressure, the friendliness, and the price, the speed and the explanation of the features. This is our 5th Subaru! We keep coming back for more. Our experience was great. We first went there with intentions on only test driving and getting information about Subaru's and leasing and not buying a car right away. We told them that and they were very cooperative and not pushing us like other dealerships, and instead gave us the information and knowledge we were looking for. I already knew which car I wanted to buy, and Jay made sure he found it for me. Although he was young he was very mature and was very professional (credit goes out to his parents!). Great experience as usual, second time dealing with Jay, Purchased my last car in 2011, Unforturnally thanks to hurricane Sandy had to go back sooner then I needed to, my car was totaled, but still able to drive it to the dealership, I couldn't believe it was still working, but the adjuster told me it was because it is a Subaru! They do well in water...I guess so!I have to say when I drove the car to Lester Glenn, I was very upset. But Jay made me feel very confortable, he knew I was going through a rough time. He worked with me and I drove out of the dealership in less then 2hours, that's a recond. I have to say everybody at the dealershipwas very kind. I've leased multiple vehicles in my life, and this was hands down the WORST sales experience imaginable. We called a week ahead to get pricing, I spoke with Dan who quoted me a special they were running. At least 3x during the week someone called, very friendly, to ensure that we would be keeping our appt. We drove 40 minutes and checkbook in hand, I was ready to purchase the vehicle. Our salesperson was very inexperienced so had to keep going to speak with someone regarding the deal. He came back with a price that was far in excess of the quote. He then brought me a copy of the quote and it was what we had been told on the phone. After another few visits, Dan returns and tells us he would do us a big favor and honor this deal (which I still can't figure out how that was a favor). The catch was that I had to take the one car they had in this class, with a dent and miles on it. We asked if we could have that deal with a new car, without a dent, and his tone changed dramatically. While the salesperson had told us that new cars come in every day, and the girl on the phone told us they had tons of inventory for the car we were interested in, Dan then said we would have to wait 12-16 WEEKS! When I told him we weren't interested and this was clearly a bait and switch he started shouting at us, jumped out of his seat and really created a scene. Other sales people were actually looking at us with an expression that told me this wasn't the first time he's behaved so unprofessionally. I am still shocked about the entire experience.

We agreed on $19,750 for the price of a 2012, used, premium Impreza car. Ended up charging me 21,800 for car. They are selling that same car 2013, in limited for same price with 3000 mi on it.I Got duped, when returned to dealer, they couldn't help me out, or compensate with me, Colt had said it was a mistake, yet John Puglisi or Lonnie could do nothing. Criminal act.Don't go there.

I have purchased three vehicles and leased one from this dealership in the past year. The lease (a 2013 forester) and latest sale (2014 forester) was because we lost 2 Subaru's to the super storm Sandy, a 2013 forester and a 2012 Impreza. After purchasing my 2013 forester from Lester Glenn in September 2012, I knew wright where to go. I called Adam Krauser and explained that we lost both our cars to Sandy. He asked how he could help, genuine concern. He told me to go see John Puglisi when we were ready. We went to dealership in November. John and Colt were very helpful, exploring all options. They spent hours with us. We ended up leasing a 2013 Forester for my wife, a great deal. Not only did they gives us a great deal they also helped us get $500.00 in Sandy relief from Subaru Corp. I expressed to John and Colt that I had heard about the 2014 foresters and wanted to wait for them. Again they explored all options as to what would be best for us. I ended up getting a used 2005 outback sedan, great shape it still drove like a new car. They called me as soon as they got the 2014 Foresters in. I went to the dealership in March and got a great deal on my 2014 Forester. I got to meet Adam, who thanked me for my loyalty. I thanked him for all he and his team did for us during a trying time. I would never go to a different dealership then Lester Glenn. The honesty and genuine concern they showed us, I've never seen at any other dealer I've ever dealt with. They have earned my trust and loyalty.

Although my negotiation with Jack and Dan went long about the car which I wanted to buy, but hey! negotiation is an inevitable part of car purchasing process.Dan was great throughout this experience. UPDATE 2/28/2013: After the dealership was provided with my review (before its posting), I (finally) received my deposit back. The check was dated 12/31/2012, leaving me only a few weeks before it would be void as it would be >90 days old. I'm not sure why the date on the check wasn't the date it was written out or if this is standard procedure. Additionally, there was what looked like a heart drawn on the check; I wasn't sure what this was supposed to mean, but thought it worth mentioning as I don't think it would be unreasonable for one to interpret this as petty behavior on the part of the dealership given the circumstances. In any event, I was hoping for a little more professionalism out of the staff, and I don't think I should have had to resort to posting about my experience here to have my query/request addressed when I gave the dealership multiple opportunities to solve the problem.----------------- BEGIN ORIGINAL POST-------------------I placed an order for a 2013 WRX Sti on 10/20/2012 since the dealer did not have the color I wanted on the lot. I left a $500 deposit to secure the order on the same day and left. After ~1 month, I was able to locate the exact car I had ordered on another dealer's lot and purchased it. I tried to contact my sales person (Jay Jackson) via phone and email several times, leaving messages with the calls, and didn't have a call returned for several days/a week. I also left a message for the sales manager with the receptionist, regarding canceling the order, and received no answer from this either. When my call was returned, I spoke with Jay about canceling the order and he was very personable and said he understood the situation. He promised to refund my deposit via check and that I should expect the check to arrive in 1-2weeks. Because the process was so amicable, I offered to post that the car would be available shortly on a large STi message board full of people looking for dealerships with inventory.12/15/2012 - Almost a month had passed and I still hadn't received the refund I was promised. I made several phone calls and sent several emails to Jay and never received any sort of response.1/5/2013 - I drove the 1 hour and 45 minutes down to the dealership to find out what was going on with the refund. I spoke with Luke Albrink and explained the situation. I explained that I understand that mistakes can be made and things get lost in the shuffle, but that I needed to know why I hadn't received the refund yet. He asked me for my sale documents, which I had, and said that the accounting dept. had left for the day, but that he would personally follow up with them the following Monday and get back to me. He said they weren't in the business of keeping deposits once the deal was dead and that he wasn't sure what had happened. I received a call from Jay the following week confirming that the accounting dept was going to mail out the check that that i should see it in 1-2 weeks.1/21/2013 - No check & more attempts to contact Jay (he was never available to actually answer the phone and I had to leave messages either with the receptionist or on VM) went unanswered.Present - I have neither received a check nor received a phone call/email response to my repeated attempts to figure out what is going on.Cliff Notes: I placed an order and subsequently had to cancel. It has been 4 months since then and I have not received my deposit back despite SEVERAL reassurances that "the check was in the mail".

I've been looking into cars for while. I know i wanted a Subaru Impreza but i wasn't sure on the color, model, and interior. I started visiting numerous dealerships in my local area and narrowed it down to what i exactly wanted. However, most dealerships didn't take what i wanted into consideration. They kept trying to sell me another color or lower interior package or something with a lot more accessories than what i wanted. Every time i walked out of a dealership it was with a massive migraine and a dreading of visiting another. However, my dad proposed we go to Lester Glen in Toms River. I am from Woodbridge and Toms River was about an hour drive for me. I said sure why not, it couldn't hurt. Upon walking into the dealership we were greeted by a nice man who introduced myself as Colt. From there Colt listened to everything we had to say & started to lead us to the inventory of car they had. Colt knew i was looking for a dark grey Impreza and that is exactly what he brought me too. We drove down to the extra lot where my car was fresh off the truck. I was able to put the next 6 miles on my future car. This car was everything i was looking for. It had all the accessories i wanted without anything more. Colt never tried to up sell me on numerous other accessories they could add into the car. He understood this is what i wanted. Colt was able to get my the price I wanted & even a lower monthly payment i anticipated! He continuously made sure my parent and myself we comfortable and offered refreshments & candy. Colt drafted up the initial paperwork to get the buying process started. He set us up with the financial person and waited patiently until we were done with him too. Colt took my future car to be detailed and ready to take home.When financing the car i thought the process was going to be painful but they were completely understanding which i will be eternally grateful for because without their understanding i wouldn't have been able to purchase this car. I had extra money coming in but didn't have it at that exact moment. They were able to take the down payment i currently had, held onto my car until i was able to get the rest. A couple days later when i had the rest i was than able to take my car home. Because of their understanding about my down payment i was able to get lower monthly payments that i could afford.Lester Glen is the best dealership i have ever been to. They didn't pressure me into making any purchase. They didn't try to up sell me a car with more accessories or a different model entirely. Colt was patient, understanding, knowledgeable and answered every question my parents and i had. The financial people were patient & understanding of my down payment situation. This was the first dealership i didn't want to run away from or walk out with a massive migraine. Colt's friendliness, experience, and willing to go the extra mile for you is what sold me. He got me the best price for my car and how i wanted my car. He stayed with my parents and myself every step of the way making sure we had everything we needed and if there was anything else he could do. Before Colt at Lester Glen i was dreading the day i would have to actually purchase a car. However, I couldn't have imagine my car buying process going any better than it did at Lester Glen with Colt.

He was very knowledgeable of the the car I was interested in purchasing and answered all the questions that I had. This was the easiest car purchase I ever made. Even though the dealership was very busy on New Year's Eve day, Colt and Lonnie treated me like they had all the time in the world to answer my questions and help me with my purchase. I had spent the better part of a week e-mailing with Stacy Myers, who was courteous and helpful, informing me of inventory and hours, holding my hand every step of the way. Colt found the vehicle I was interested in and we were on a test drive within about 5 minutes of my arrival at the dealership. I was treated with respect and felt that everyone went out of their way to be helpful - all the way through the purchase process and the ringing of the bell :) There was no pressure, no haggling, and everything was super smooth. I went into Lester Glenn Subaru after already being at another Subaru dealer that was unable to help me whatsoever. I knew what car I wanted and a price range that I could do however, issues with credit kept me from purchasing a vehicle that day. Two and a half weeks later they were able to work with the cost in order to accommodate me financially, and they even held the exact car I wanted until the day I came in to purchase it. They did whatever they could to get me the car I wanted at a price I could afford with the credit I had, which wasn't much seeing as I am just a student. Phenomenal experience, and everybody looking for a new car should visit this dealership.

DO NOT GO TO LESTER GLENN! I was treated with nothing but disrespect by both the associate and the manager that I dealt with. I am in my 20's and was treated like a child. They acted as though it did not matter what I had said- that it was going to be their way or no way. They wouldn't even negotiate! When I told them what I was trying to accomplish, the manager basically laughed at me and told me that NOBODY could get me out of my trade and into the car I wanted. They didn't offer any other explanation than that. So I left and made my way over to Pine Belt Subaru. It was worth the drive and I left with EXACTLY what I wanted. If you ever think about needing a new or used vehicle- avoid the Lester Glenn dealerships! They are nothing but scammers.

After I knew for sure that I was going to need a new car, I didn't even bother looking at another dealership. I came in to buy a used subaru. Car was sold as i pulled into the dealership.John came outside to greet me and tell me the bad news. After talking and looking at other used cars i asked about a new subaru forester. My husband and I visited Lester Glenn Subaru in Toms River to look at and possibly buy a Legacy. We had seen one on the internet in their stock and wanted to see that particular Legacy. We were greeted in the parking area by Colt Tomlinson who was carrying 2 umbrellas since it was raining when we arrived. He ushered us inside and we began discussing what was available. After several attempts, we were able to locate the particular car that we were interested in seeing. Colt was very helpful in tracking down and retrieving that particular car from one of their many storage areas.Lonnie Sherry was very efficient in filling out the paper work and explaining the various options for paying for the vehicle. Both of the staff w/whom we worked were very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. We are enjoying driving our new Legacy.

After browsing the lot for a bit, we were greeted at the door by Luke, who welcomed us and introduced us to Colt. Colt was great representative of the company, he made the entire process feel relaxing and comfortable. We test drove a few cars, and didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. Thanks to hurricane Sandy I had to have my loved 2008 Forrester totaled. Prior to the summer my parents had an old Mercedes Benz that myself and siblings wanted to have them sell or trade in for a new vehicle. I asked them to look for a Subaru Forester and contact me if they like the vehicle. They stopped by the Lester Glenn Subaru and were met by Colt. Colt showed them several models that the dealership had and my parents decided that they liked a white Premium Forester. Colt was very patient and worked carefully to make sure my parents got the right deal. Much to my surprise the deal offered to my parents was extremely competitive with NO hidden surprises. My girlfriend and I came in specifically to look for a new car on a late Thursday afternoon. We met with John and after a test drive, we knew that the car was for us. Upon walking into this dealership i was greeted with respect and the upmost professionalism. This dealership had such an unique way of selling a car, they asked us what was important to us in this vehilce since it was for our daughter going to college. It took many hours and visits, however, Colt and John never seemed to be concerned if we were not going to purchase a vehicle or not, they always answered all our questions while not trying to sell the vechile or options that were not needed. When we finally decided to purchase the vehicle Colt and John sat with us and went over every line item. They made this experience for my daughter such a pleasure that she asked why so many people complain about buying a car. When the car arrived they had balloons all around the car took a picture of us like we are a new part of their family. We finished this process sitting with Lonnie the Finance Manager who also explained (but never pushed) extented warranties. He was very organized and prepared so this went smoothly and quickly. I have purchased many different cars and I have never been more satisfied with a dealership. Yes i will recommend them to all, and i will buy my next vehicle there.

Mike Crisanti was friendly and informative. Since I went through the Costco Auto Program which is the way to go, I did not have to negotiate a price. I don't know why it took so long to get the paperwork done. Mike filled in the waiting time by going through the manual which was good. Mike even called my insurance company to add coverage for my new car. Lester Glen dealership put this sticker-like advertisement for Lester Glen on the car which I don't like. I'm sure I could pay to get it off, but why should I have to do that?

I recently purchased a new Subaru Forester from Lester Glenn Subaru. Despite the fact that I was in the process of transferring an out-of-state license, both the general sales manager and salesman (John Puglisi and Colt Tomlinson, respctively) were amazingly accomodating even when the out-of-state motor vehicle division computers were having problems. I have always hated the car-buying process kind of like a visit to a proctologist but this experience at Lester Glenn Subaru has changed my perception. My wife and I were treated with courtesy and respect, and the best part: we got a great deal on the Forester. While the process took a couple of hours due to the out-of-state computer glitch, we drove off in a wonderful new Subaru and a smile on our faces. I would recommend this dealership in a heartbeat. I had been looking for a Forester with a manual transmission and Lester Glenn was the only one who had one in stock so i could test drive it. I drove around a bit with Mike and I enjoyed the car immensely, so afterwards I sat down with hin to see if we could find one somewhere with the accessories I wanted...To no avail, didn't even come close after talking with others at the dealership I was told I could order a 2013 and get the things I wanted on it....I did and I couldn't be happier with it, it drives so well, and is so responsive and fun to drive. The last time I purchased a car was in 1998, I was nervous about having to go through the whole car buying process. Donato was so patient and understanding. He allowed me to test drive several vehicles, taking them for extended periods of time to make sure that I was comfortable and that I was getting what I wanted. My husband and I found Lester Glenn after looking for new Subaru Foresters on CarFinder.com. We had done our homework and were pretty set on getting that particular type of car. Their online deals brought us in the door and their friendliness and no-pressure attitude sent us out the door with a new car! Luke Albrink came over to us when we walked in and brought us to their indoor showroom - which was a really nice feature since it was raining outside. Donato Jensen helped us from there. He took us for a test drive and talked over the features of the car. They were super flexible with the different options they had and changed some things on the car with no problem. After we decided to purchase the car, Lonnie Sherry talked us through the financing. Everyone was very personable and made us feel at ease. It was a great first-car-buying experience and we'll be repeat customers!

My wife and I went in just to look at a Subaru last week and ended up driving away in a new Impreza. We were greeted immediately by Colt, who was very friendly. Once I explained what we were looking for, Colt directed my to an Impreza and fully explained everything on the vehicle, including the great safety features. After our test drive, we began talking numbers. Colt and the entire Lester Glenn staff were very welcoming and did an amazing job at getting us the deal that worked for us, as well as making us feel as comfortable as possible during the process. The entire staff at Lester Gleann was fantastic, friendly and very professional while making us feel as though we were joining the Lester Glenn Subaru Family. Third time Subaru owner here. This is the third dealership that I've done business with and they have earned me as a repeat customer. This is a brand new, state of the art full service dealership and service center. Among the best experiences I've ever had in buying a new car. Donato Jensen came out to greet me and from the start showed a warm, friendly and inviting personality. He's a young guy that is smart and passionate about his job. What I especially liked was his in-depth knowledge about his product. Too many times, I've gone to other showrooms and found that the guy that I was speaking to may have been selling another brand just days ago and knew very little about the car that I was interested in. Not the case here. Donato is a car enthusiast and it showed. He knows Subaru's in and out and gets bonus points for that. John Puglisi, the sales manager was a pleasure to deal with. These guys are customer centric and really want to work hard at earning your business. The earned my deal in under a couple of hours. Always do your homework and comparison shop, but give these guys a chance. I think you'll arrive at the same conclusion that I did. Lester Glenn's Subaru dealership is excellent. Also, had one experience with the service team for an install of XM radio. Kudo's to Cathy the service manager. She is extremely friendly, customer oriented and worked hard to make sure that I was happy with the work that was done. Don't see too many women in the role of dealership service manager but I'm sure that she earned it and knows her stuff. Congrats to Lester Glenn for hiring such a top notch team. Well done!

As soon as we arrived, Colt Tomlinson greeted and worked with us the entire time. He was super friendly, helpful and understanding of my situation and what I needed. I felt extremely confident that him and Luke would find me the absolute best deal possible. They both had great patience, answered every question and couldn't have been more helpful. I went to this dealership based on an old friendship and recomendation. For me, the dealership is over 2 hours away from my home and I pass by a few other Subaru dealerships along the way. Friendly staff, awesome sales and honest, involved sales manager and finance guys. Definately feel like family right from the start. Met with this dealership over a period of two months, while visiting six other Subaru dealerships in NJ and Orangeburg, NY and Staten Island, NY. Lester Glenn never pressured me. They were very helpful each time that I met with them (Colt Tomlinson or Luke Albrink). Jay Jackson is a pleasure to work with. He is warm and friendly. Jay is extremely knowledgeable of the products and he tirelessly works on your behalf. Everything about the deal was set up easily over the phone ahead of time and the price that we got beat the lowest price I found quoted online. Fast, straight-forward service! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. I loved the fact that it was a 'no games' atmosphere. We expressed what we were looking for and they were able to meet OUR needs - not theirs. High pressure sales and tactics do not exist at this dealership, it is about the customer. When they ask for your name and what you're looking for they actually mean it, it's not a sales pitch. I would definitely return and recommend it to my friends.

Approximately every five years, since 1973, I have purchased a new car for my family. This was by far the best purchase experience I have ever had. I totally agree with everything that Roncavalier wrote on 2/24; this was the best car buying experience that I have had in 40 years. I was given the best price in the area and fair value for my trade; sales manager John Puglisi and salesman Jay Jackson were both great to work with. Everything was completed within 24 hours from the time that I received a quote via email from Elyse, with no pressure or other sales tactics from John, Jay or Mike in finance. The process at the dealership was extremely efficient from start to finish; I had to drive 45 miles but it was well worth it. I left almost in disbelief that buying a new Subaru could be this pleasant and easy.

I emailed the Internet sales department of Lester Glenn Subaru to get a price on a new Outback. I received an immediate response from a man by the name of Kyle Henderson. The price was considerably less than any of the other Subaru dealers that I had previously spoken with so I made the 50 mile trip to Toms River, NJ to see about a purchase. I expected the quoted price to increase once I sat down with a sales rep due to unwanted dealer installed options or excessive doc fees, etc.. I also thought the dealer would try and steal my trade being the price on the new Outback was so reasonable. All in all, I expected the worse. What I actually received was the best car buying experience I have ever had in the 50 plus new cars that I have purchased over my lifetime. The sales manager, John Puglisi, could not have been nicer and the salesman assigned to me, Jason (Jay) was outstanding. Everyone in the dealership was friendly and very professional. Jay explained every detail of the new car to my wife and myself including setting up the bluetooth phone system. He must have spent 2 hours with us. We could not be happier with our car buying experience at Lester Glenn in Toms River and will recommend them for many years to come.
