Went to look at a Tahoe. I called a week ahead of time to make sure it was worth our time. I asked for a clean non smoker vehicle. I talked to the salesman and sales manager numerous times. Both told me it was never smoked in. Drove an hour to test drive it. Got there and it it was owned by a heavy smoker. Carpet was tore in the vehicle, cruise did not work, and the front end made a howling sound everytime you hit the brakes. Both the salesman and sales manager said, "you know it is a used vehicle so I am not sure what you expect". Stay as far away from this dealership as possible!

Went to check out a Highlander and Joe showed us the car in addition to an MDX that we test drove. We told him that we wanted to look elsewhere to see our options and he was completely cool with it with no hassles. About 3 weeks later we decided that the Highlander was out best choice and contacted Joe and purchased the HIghlander the next day. Joe and Scott made the buying process simple and quick. I last minute decided to add my wife to the car title and Scott was perfectly fine with rewriting the papers.Later when we got home. I noticed the fog lights were not working. I contacted Joe the next day and he told me to come in and get it fixed at no charge to me. He later followed up with me to make sure the service was done correctly.Next time my family or I are in the market for buying another used car, LEXDAN is definitely going to be one of my first places to check out.

Great customer service. Just purchased a 2011 Nissan Hybrid and Joe was always super helpful. The big Boss man was tough to negotiate with but he was a good guy and gave us the deal we wanted. We will definitely be back to purchase from Lexdan again.

I recently purchased a 2011 Toyota Camry from Lexdan. I set up an appointment earlier in the day and when I got there, the car was clean and out front waiting for me to take a look at. Rodney was my salesman and was great to work with. He was not at all pushy, but added humor and fun to the process. I did a fair amount of research on the car before I got there which I obviously recommend doing, but I never felt like I was being fooled about the quality of vehicle I would be getting. He was a tough negotiator, but the car happened to be on special for the month of May. So far, I am very happy with my purchase and quality of service from Lexdan! I walked away with a smile on my face!

After Shopping online for a while, I was making the rounds to check cars that fit my needs. When I stopped at Lexdan and met Rodney, it was like I had come to buy a car from a member of the family. He was very accommodating...the 2010 Hyundai Accent I had been looking at online was actually at their other location, and Rodney gladly retrieved it so I could give it the once over and test drive it. The car was exactly as advertised, and I was eager to purchase it. Ben, the business manager, went through all the details thoroughly, gave me pretty much what I had expected trading in my old car, and generally made the purchasing process very smooth. I truly had fun shopping with these folks, and as a result, got a great car at a great price. Not only will I tell my friends about my experience, I'll definitely come to Lexdan first when it's time to make my next purchase!

A couple of weekends ago, I went to the Lexdan used car dealership in Maplewood, MN with my teen son to test drive a Honda CRV. The one I had in mind had just been sold & driven off the night before. Rodney, the salesman, listened to what it was that I was looking for in my next vehicle. I told him I wanted a newer, used vehicle with low mileage, in good running condition - just a basic SUV. I also told him that I'd been driving an older Suzuki Sidekick. I loved it due it's great gas mileage and it's reliability for starting even in the coldest of Minnesota winters. He said he was familiar with all of the cars that on their lot. He told me the reputation that the company has for being honest about the condition of their vehicles, and that the one he'd recommend I test, was a 2008 Mitzubishi Outlander. My teen son & I test drove it & we loved it. When I went back up to the Lexdan dealership today to pick up my license plates, and Rodney not only put the plates on for me, we had a nice chat about raising young men to believe in themselves and never give up no matter what! The service we received was great, caring, thoughtful and compassionate. Thanks guys! -Patrick

I went in on March 25,2016 to look at a 2011 Scion TC that Lexdan had in stock. The price for the mileage was amazing and the car looked, sounded, and drove excellent. Don took care of giving me the test drive. He was very professional and educated about the vehicle. You can tell that they take amazing care of the cars they sell. I went in to test drive and after looking at my credit and seeing how the banks would respond to that, I drove off that day with a new vehicle after trading in mine. Scott got my payment to right where I wanted it to be and he offered me GAP insurance on the spot. The vehicle has a 30 day or 1000 mile warranty on it. I went in a week later because the brakes were squeaking and they took care of the brakes and helped educate me on the way brakes wear, how to take care of a custom cold air intake that is in the vehicle and answered other questions i had about car maintenance. This is my first car buying experience and it was a great one. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vehicle and I'm sure they will have something available for my girlfriend when she enters the market.

We worked with Lionel to purchase our Toyota Sienna. He was as pleasant and helpful on the phone as he was in person. He did not rush us into buying or push us into buying anything out of our price range. We were very pleased to be shown the Carfax and inspection reports on the multiple vans we test drove. While inspecting the van, we noticed a small crack in the rear taillight. The dealer promptly had a service technician replace it rather than sell the van "as-is" with a cracked taillight.

Joe and Ben helped us lock in our our desired replacement vehicle (certified pre-owned Mazda5). They were very agreeable to our taking the car to our mechanic for 3rd party inspection, informative about the car's history and condition, helpful in obtaining a valid new replacement for the missing headrest. And they replaced the floor mats upon the asking. The closing was seamless, swift, and easy. Great car buying experience!

I went to the Lexdan dealership in Maplewood on Saturday to look at a 2011 Chevy Traverse I saw on-line. They were busy when I arrived but made time for me right away and answered all of the questions I had. Joe was very helpful in getting the vehicle ready for me to test drive and Ben was very helpful with the financing process. I felt they went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with my vehicle. They were not pushy at all, they were very friendly. I have been to other places where I felt car sales people try to push you to get into a car even if it is not what you want. That was not my experience here. They took the time to understand my needs and made sure I had the vehicle I wanted in a price range that I could afford. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

My husband and I drove pass Lexdan Automotive on the way to the mall and decided to stopped in. I did not expected to purchased anything but there was a 2011 Honda Odyssey that caught my eyes. Right when my husband and I got out of our car one of the sales person greeted us and welcomed us right away, his name was Lionel. He was very nice and answered any questions we had. Of course, everytime when you walked into any kind of dealership everyone "tried" to be nice until they find out they weren't going to get your business then their true colors come out. This was not the case with Lexdan Automotive. After we test drove the car, we told them we will think about it and come back the next day if interested. They were not pushy and rude at all, but were very nice all the way through. There were at least three Honda Odysseys that we've set our eyes on but we decided to go with Lexdan Automotive because of the great services we received the day before. Getting the right car is important but great customer service is just as important! The purchasing process was quick and easy. Scott took care of all the paper works. He was funny and very nice as well. One thing I want to mention is, after we took the car home for a couple of days the check engine light came on. We took it back to Lexdan Automotive and they helped us right away with no problems. Scott greeted us and took care of us right away. They were not just trying to get new customers but also trying to keep their current customers happy as well. Will definitely recommend Lexdan Automotive!

I had been searching for a new car for weeks when I came across a CR-V on cars.com that Lexdan had on the lot. As I didn't live too far away I drove over a few days later to see if it was still available. They brought it out front and we took a quick drive. I decided to buy it from them. We were treated as valued customers from the moment we walked into Lexdan Motors.The salesperson, Leo "knew" the vehicle we were test driving and was able to answer all our questions. He didn't high pressure us--just let us take our time and decide whether to purchase from him. Scott handled our financing and got it done quickly. They were both great to work with. Bought an 2005 Acura TL (pretty good shape, clean inside & out) from Lexdan of Maplewood. Wonderful and friendly people. The place is awesome as well. Tons of chairs to sit. We were looking for a specific style/type of SUV. I had been seriously searching for about 3 months. I found one located at Lexdan Motors online. It looked very clean in the pictures. We met Rodney and he guided us through the buying process on one of the cleanest used cars I've ever seen. The staff and Rodney were warm and courteous. It was over before we knew it, and we had ourselves the SUV we were looking for! My wife loves the way it drives and rides. Just drove it on some nasty slushy roads and it handled great! My boyfriend and I were looking for the car for him and before we arrived to Lexdan we've seen a couple of different dealerships in Minneapolis/St. Paul area. We went to Lexdan Automotive dealership in Maplewood, MN just to check out this place and compare the prices. We were looking for used Toyota Camry and prices at the other places were too high. However, when we just arrived to Lexdan I noticed that the prices are really good and not high at all. So we ended up buying Camry exactly the same that we wanted to buy. I bought my 2009 Murano from Scott on Friday, and had a great experience. I called Scott that day with some interest in the vehicle (a used Nissan Murano), and when I arrived later in the afternoon the vehicle was at the door all warmed up and ready for a test drive. This was our first time here. We had a great experience. The facility was clean, comfortable, and inviting. The salesman we worked with was knowledgable, patient, and very accommodating. He and the finance manager stayed hours after close so we could leave with our new car. They went as far as to call our preferred banker at her home to work out affordable monthly payments. We were quite impressed with this one-on-one service since all the other dealerships we had dealt with always had multiple deals going on.

We visited Lexdan this past weekend and were surprised by the poor customer service. The positive reviews on this site are puzzling. Either we've been spoiled by great sales personnel and dealerships in the past--one as recently as three weeks ago, or we visited Lexdan on an "off" weekend. Actually, our salesman, Lionel, was delightful. The person he reported to, however, came across as self-important and unprofessional, both in appearance and style, the stereotypical salesman who give the profession a negative image. We quickly tired of his transparent cliches, some of which he used two or three times, as if he wasn't listening to us and/or he was running out of material. We will not return there.

We were in the market for a used van or SUV and found Lexdan Auto via the web. Their inventory consists of very good used vehicles obtained from trade-ins to other dealers. Jay and the staff were courteous and helpful and allowed us time to consider options. Their website is excellent, their pricing is fair and their tactics not overly pushy. I would recommend them to others that are in the market for a clean, dependable used vehicle. Talk to Jay and he will help find your next vehicle.

I went to lexdan automotive after my co-worker's recommendation. I was interested in a Acura MDX. However they did not have any other color but white with lower miles. While sales person was trying to do his job in recommending the white suv because how easy it is to take care of and how it hides dust snd dirt easly, I insisted and let him know i would not consider in purchasing anything but black MDX which they did not have in stock.Soon after their used car inventory purchaser came and introduced himself. He did not push me in to buying the white MDX. Instead he told me he would be more than happy to find a Black MDX with low miles for me and contact me when it arrives. Some dealers will pressure and stry to sell you what they have at the moment with no respect and regard to customer's wishes. That was not the case with Lexdan Automotive. I was happy with my visit and wanted to let the others to know.

A few weeks ago, my husband and I purchased a vehicle from Lexdan. Scott and Jimmie were great to work with on this purchase. We were not planning on buying a vehicle when the engine went out on my husbands SUV with nearly 200,000 miles. I had originally contact Scott about a replacement car for me a month earlier, but had decided on a different vehicle at a different dealership. However, when it came time to have to purchase my husband's car, I knew he would like Scott. We found a vehicle on their website and called Scott right away. We essentially gave him 20 minutes notice that we were coming, and when we got there, the vehicle was queued up and ready for us to look at and test drive. Jimmie greeted us and got us started with an overview of the SUV and got us out on the road within 10 minutes of arriving. Jimmie answered every annoying question we came up with, and when he didn't have the answer, he took the time to find it. The credit application process was seamless and Scott had us through the paperwork in no time. They both had a great sense of humor and made it a fun adventure for us, even though we didn't really want to be buying a vehicle. Jimmie was with another customer when we left, but he stepped away for a moment to thank us for our business and to wish us well with our new SUV. I highly recommend Scott and Jimmie and the whole team at Lexdan in Maplewood. I'll would definitely buy from them again, I just hope it's not any soon (no offense to them!).

During an online search for a used car, it was clear Lexdan Automotive would have a great selection at attractive prices. Their used cars are in terrific condition: many with lower miles, great maintenance records, and great detail cleaning. Compared to other lots, their prices were easily within the range of buying from a private party. Jimmie was a friendly, low-pressure salesperson who could answer all my questions from his bank of knowledge, or by knowing where to look. I appreciated his willingness and honesty to quickly dig for a couple answers and avoided the glossy sales pitch. I'm thrilled with the purchase.

Shopping at Lexdan Automotive in Maplewood, MN was a worthwhile experience. Drove by the place all the time, and when it came time for a newer used car I decided to look them up online. I had found a vehicle that I was interested in and decided to check it out. All the staff is very friendly and willing to help each and focus on the customer. Unlike new car dealers where they are just trying to sell loans, they were trying to sell me a car, and make sure I was comfortable with my choice. Out of all the dealerships I visited they were the only dealer that was truly a no pressure situation. I was also pre-approved for a loan before going to dealer at 2.75% apr, and they were able to match the interest rate which was great, saving me tons of time dealing with a loan outside of the dealership. The 30day/1000mi warranty was also great to give me the piece of mind that the car will not be a lemon. Overall a great experience and would look at Lexdan Automotive again for another vehicle there in the future.

We bought a 2006 ES 330 in the fall of 2014. While having the oil changed last month (not at Lexdan) I asked to have the tires rotated. It was then I found out that the car did not have a matched set of tires so the garage said they could not rotated them because the wear on the one odd tire was lower than the others and it would cause a tracking problem. I checked the spare and go figure, it was yet another brand. Bottom line is they knew what they were selling and i missed it, Now it will cost me a full set of new tires. This is the second car we purchased from LEXDAN and it will be our last.

I purchased an 05 Acura TSX a couple weeks ago and the service I received from the salesman Jay was incredible. Found a car on cars.com at Lexdan Automotive. Inquired on availability and was contacted within an hour to set up a test drive. They even arranged to have it moved to the most convenient location for me. From the time my son and I walked through the door we were treated great and everyone at Lexdan made the car buying process simple and painless. I would definitely recommend Lexdan to anyone looking for a used car! The 30+ mile drive from St. Michael to Maplewood was worth it!

I was in the market for a used Toyota lxe and saw one in my price range online at Lexdan. I decided to go in and take a look to see if the vehicle was a good fit for me and my boys. I drove past Lexdan Auto because I wasn't expecting a surface lot dealership. Driving into the lot there was a nice selection of cars but I was there for my Toyota! I was greeted by Don(he's the guy with the freckles) and he immediately put me at ease joking with my boys and offering us a beverage. He showed me the car fax and proceeded to answer the million questions that I had. After test driving the van and answering 20 more questions patiently, we made an awesome deal and I am now the proud owner of a loaded Toyota Sienna! An added bonus is free warranty as you can never go wrong with that. It's been about three weeks and I'm still happy in fact I needed my plates put on so I called Don and told him my dilemma, he laughed and said come on over we'll help you out.

I was already over my budget by the time I got to this dealership. I realized I must adjust my price range after stopping at a few car dealers. The model I wanted was in high demand. Soon after I was greeted and shared information about the vehicle. I was shown a inspection report and the history report of the vehicle which I was interested in. They also showed me the free warranty form on the same vehicle. This warranty was for short term but included major parts and labor coverage.I really liked this dealers approach and took the time to test drive the vehicle I came to see. I was impressed with the cleanliness and the condition of the Odyssey van. I wanted to shop more after the test drive. After leaving their lot I looked at three more Odyssey minivans elsewhere. Yet I couldnt find anything nicer and at better price. I went back to purchase their vehicle the next day. I was satisfied in receiving the best deal after looking around. Thank you.

I found a Honda SUV on cars.com . and it was listed at Lexdan Automotive. I called and asked about this vehicle. The person I talked to was very polite and helpful. I decided to drive there to look at the vehicle I was interested in. It was a 130 mile drive from where I live. Before I left I called again and talked with Jay so when I arrived at the dealership Jay greeted me by name,I was very nervous as I do not normally do things like this by myself. I think Jay could sense this so he was v.ery, very kind. He offered me something to drink told me to relax and think about what I wanted and to ask him any questions I had. I cannot believe how nice he was. The whole experience was awesome thanks to Jay. I ended up buying the vehicle and love it so far. Only been 3 days but so far so good. Had great experience when purchasing the car but only had it for 9 months and the ball joints and axle were bad already. Not only that I had already had issues with the ABS and battery a few days after I bought the car. Mechanics really don't know what their doing.

Overall, the customer service was excellent and the process of buying the car went really smooth. The actual repairing of my car also went pretty smooth and didn't take too much time. Everything went pretty well. The reason I only gave this place a three star is because I waited a whole year to get a replacement electric battery when I was told it would only take a few weeks. When I initially looked at my car before I bought it, there were no lights on the dashboard at all. Was told the car was in good shape with nothing wrong with it. However, for some reason, after I bought the car and drove it a couple miles, I immediately noticed the IMS light and check engine lights were on. Called the dealership and they said they'd get a replacement hybrid battery for me. They told me it would take a few weeks. However, a few weeks turned into a whole year before they actually bought the new battery and replaced it for me. The main reason I am giving this review a three star and not a 0 is because the dealer, Meng, who sold me the car always made sure that I knew what was going on, where they were at with the car battery. He was great at communicating, sympathetic about the long wait, and really made me feel like he cared about my car situation. So thank you Meng for being a great salesperson! Your dealership owes you big time. In the end, the place was great, just was not happy with the long wait.

I bought my 2006 Hond Pilot and was very impressed with the sales staff. Scott was always professional even when I was having troubles with my lender. He even offered to help. The dealership held onto my new car while I had to work out details with my credit union. First of all I want to say the dealership is very clean! I worked with Scott and test drove 3 different cars I was interested in. He was very patient with my wife and I while we made a decision. We decided to go get lunch and think it over for a bit. I have never had a dealership not try to throw on "the pressure sale" at this point. We thought about it over lunch and asked to take the car for one more test drive before we made a decision. They were patient with us and we had a great experience. They also helped setup the financing through a local credit union!! It was awesome I could not be happier. Thanks Lexdan for everything we love the car!!

I was helped by a salesmen named meng. I liked his attitude very much he wasnt pushy or trying to pressure me. He showed what i asked for. Then i talked to deniz who does the appraising on cars. I liked him also. He definatly was knowladgeable about repairs on cars. And gave me my trade in value. I feel like he was a tough person!!! Then I met Mike tge financing guy. He was a very nice guy. I enjoyed his help and how much he looked and found choices for me. Mike has a great professional vibe to him. I appreciated them all at the dealer. Thank You Guys!!! Oh and i forgot the best thing of all im not a person with good credit but i got financed through these guys because they are just trying to sell cars!

I recently purchased a car at Lexdan and I loved it. I still love my car. I think it's excellent and I got it at an amazing price. When I bought the car I had wonderful customer service and I had an overall excellent experience. I'm still very appreciative of how well the buying process went. I want to be clear that everything I said in my previous review holds true for my initial experience with Lexdan. However, post-sale was handled very poorly. I'm hoping that my experience is exclusive. When I had purchased the car, I made it very clear that it was my car. I earned the money to pay for it. I brought my father along for a second opinion but that was all he was. We mentioned this multiple times. Days after the sale, the salesman called and left a message on my cell phone. However, he didn't leave the message for me, he left it for my father. Maybe it's petty, but I was incredibly insulted. If he needed any information, he should have been calling for me. My impression is that he didn't really trust me for the information or the financials since I am a young woman. I was insulted. Next, I needed to provide evidence of my employment, which I did almost immediately. I needed this for the credit union that my loan is through. I had my boss write me an email with proof of my income and employment (which I was told would be sufficient) and I forwarded it to the salesman. He said he didn't get it so I forwarded it again. I did this three times. I asked him to check his junk mail. It's possible that he didn't get the emails. But did he come to me? No, he went to my boss. She felt uncomfortable and I was extremely upset. I ended up just talking to the credit union myself to give them the information. To this day, I have no idea why he wouldn't just contact me. Lastly, I had a hard time getting my plates. I have recently changed addresses, so it's understandable that it would be hard for them to get to me. Well after my temporary plates expired, I got a ticket. I understand that. That's what happens when your plates are not up to date and I was ok with paying it. I called Lexdan to see if my plates were on the way and the sales man said yes (my plates expired on the 24th of August and he said he sent them on the 29th, but I'm trying not to dwell on that) and then he apologized and offered that the dealership pay the ticket for me. He said not to worry about it and it would be taken care of. I didn't ask him to do this. He said nothing about them needing to see if it was my fault that the plates were not on the car. I said he didn't have to do that but I appreciated it. 3 weeks later, the ticket remained unpaid, so I called to check on it. He told me it was my fault, that the plates were sitting at my parents house and I didn't get them on the car in time because of this. This is not true. His response seemed pretty aggressive. He said he would have someone else look in to it and that guy would call me back. That guy never called back. I called three more times during the week and the salesman was never there and when I left my number three times, he never called back. I paid the stupid ticket. The reason why I wrote this addendum is this: it seems that not much matters after the sale is made. I felt extremely disrespected. I felt like they had no time to spend on a silly little girl like me. Will I go back? No. Will I go back for oil changes or small repairs? No. I just want to be done.

The guys at Lexdan were very patient as I test drove many of their cars. There was no pressure and they answered all of my questions. Because I had scoped out the lot on a Sunday and did some research on-line and compared the cars and prices to other lots, I knew what a competitive price should be for the mileage and the year. The SUV that I bought is impeccable and I got it for much less than the Acura dealer was asking. If you take the time to do a little research and arm yourself with some knowledge about what you're looking for, your car buying experience will go much smoother. You should not hold other people reliable for your lack of preparedness. So far, I have referred everyone that I talk to about cars... family, friends, clients.

This was my first experience shopping for a car. Don was the main salesman I interacted with. He gave me all the facts and never once pressured me into making a purchase. The decision was entirely mine at the end of the day and I felt like the staff provided me with all the information I needed to make the right investment. I looked at a number of vehicles before I settled on my final purchase and they were all in excellent vehicles. I would recommend this lot to anyone looking for a used car. I never expected to have this great of an experience. Everyone was incredibly friendly and I felt like I was treated with a tremendous amount of respect. Never once did I feel like I had to buy anything I didn't want to. I'm very happy with my car and I'll be back for my next car.

We bought a car from them. They person who sold it to us was great but Mike the employee who takes care of fixing the car is unprofessional. Lexdan agreed to fix the car when we bought it. We bought the car in to fix and it's been a week and half and our car is has not even been touched yet! On top of that, the manager Scott was being rude on the phone when I was trying to explain the situation. He offered the phone to another salesperson who doesn't even know anything. Mike is apparently "never there" when you try to call and talk to him.
