***UPDATE August 2021 I’ve called several times to speak with the person who left their contact information but no one called me back. This dealership and their customer service is one of the worst ever. Save yourself a headache, time and money and go elsewhere. ***£ They did not fill my oil when I left my car for service, but did rush me to come pay. They made me wait an hour because 10 blocks really takes that much to drive. The service center was total ghetto. None of the employees seemed to care that you are a customer. My car arrived with oil on the steering wheel, changed settings, such as seat, mirror, radio, a/c, etc. I've called the dealership several time to address the issue and no one has called me back. Save yourself sometime and go somewhere else.

But with respect to purchase, I was in and out and with a test drive and everything in about 4 - 5 hours with a new car at a reasonable price.

I was in the market for a vehicle with AWD and above reliability. I wasn't interested in a luxury but after a lengthy research i chose Lexus. I know Audi and is high up in the ranks but the maintenance cost after warranty would be too high. I chose Lexus of Manhattan and met a very wonderful, professional and pleasant employee, Stephen Johnson. I will give Stephen 5 stars for excellent and 3.5 stars for the dealership. Stephen was never pushy, forceful or the regular car sales guy. He was more interested in making sure I was happy with my choice. So I never felt rushed. I believe he did his best to make sure I had a smooth and stress-free transaction. When I brought my wife in on the day of purchase, He took the time to show her all the features and how to use them. Stephen definitely hit the peak of Lexus "WOW" effect. The dealership failed on their part. I wanted the worn tires replaced, but management refused. Their justification was they're the only dealership selling that model at the lowest price, which wasn't true. On a good note, hats off to Stephen Johnson.

I was in the market for a specific Lexus model and Anthony was extremely helpful in finding the exact one with the proper interior & exterior color and sport package. He had the vehicle ready for my test drive and made sure the vehicle was detailed and minor exterior scratches were fixed for when I received my 2014 LEXUS GS 350 F SPORT. While I waited on the financials & vehicle to come from the shop, Anthony kept me updated by text & calls. I needed the vehicle in 3 days time because my wife was going in to surgery & Anthony delivered. After I received my car it was perfect, thanks to Anthony's hard work & dedication to my needs. I am writing this review as a previous customer who has had nothing but great experiences the previous 3 times i have visited this location but today was 1 of the worst I walked in as usual guy comes to me did not tell me his name did not greet me at all i begin to tell him that my "check engine" and "check vsc" light is on he immediately tells me oh your gonna have a big engine problem becuase your car is over 100,00miles which begin my suspicion because i only drive on fri and sat number 1 second car is maintained every 4-6 months i arrived at 1:45 didnt leave till 5pm was not offered a loaner as i told the rep i may need then at 5:30 he comes to me and says oh we need an additional 3hrs of diagnostic on your car the first 1hr turned out nothing your car was to hot it needs to cool down they may need to take your engine apart and put it back together he tells me ha!!!now im no expert on cars but since when does a car need to cool down to run a diagnostic on p codes then tells me it would be an additional 450 bucks even if the car needed to cool down which was a lie you have had it for almost 4hrs already its not ok to try and scam customers out of money people walked in that place after me and left before me and i had an appointment soo i decided to take my car to another lexus dealership in yonkers whom immediately told me i needed to change spark plugs nelson perez need to be fired i stood there and watched him shack other people hands as they walked in great them with a smile and they were in and out not saying i know why they were there ive never encountered this before so it a hard pill to swallow as i said ive been taking my car here since i bought it and now i will be going to yonkers all because he tried to swindle me NELSON PEREZ needs to be fired i will post this were ever i can!!!! and find a cooparate email or address to sent to as well

Worst dealership we have ever dealt with. Purchased our LX570 from the Lexus Dealership in Englewood NJ and couldn't be happier with the service that dealership provided us. We originally ordered our LX 570 from Manhattan Lexus on March 19th, knowing it would take 4 months to deliver our car to us. Months after order, they could never "find our vehicle" to give us an ETA, gave us a VIN number to be told later that was in error and provided another VIN number for another car coming 1.5 months later than our 4 month window. Only to be told, we were never getting the car due to an "error" in Japan. They were unresponsive to multiple emails and phone calls. They lied to our faces when we had to go there in person to ask about delivery time for our car. Our car was sold to someone else! They tried to get us into a car that was in their inventory, but was not the exterior or interior color we ordered and had none of the accessories. They are untrustworthy. I would stay far, far away from this dealership and take the time to go to NJ for purchase. We have been long-time owners of Mercedes from Manhattan, purchased a Tesla recently and now are loyal customers of Englewood, NJ Lexus. We have never, ever had any problems with any purchase of a car prior to this occasion and are, quite simply, shocked with the treatment we were provided. This had nothing to do with my husband and me. This was a horrible dealership, looking to make money, irrelevant of the pain it caused us. STAY AWAY.

I bought 2013 Certified Black Lexus RX 350 on 6/15/2016. I worked with Warren Newland. He is extremely humble and doesn't force things on you. He is honest about what you may need and what you don't, in reference to extended warranties etc . Overall experience was great. I visited the dealership multiple times before buying/finalizing the car. I work in midtown so the dealership is about 10 mins walk; it was convenient to visit.People told me why I am buying from this showroom, rather go to Jersey and buy from somewhere else for a bit cheaper. To be honest the price I got is a comparative price (may be $150 more than what I wanted to pay, but I had the luxury to visit the dealership many times during work on foot without taking any days off, so it was worth it). Worst experience with any car dealership ever. I have been waiting for a call back from anyone in the service department and to no avail no call back yet after 2 days and numerous calls this morning. Now I have to take time out of my day to go into this shop to see them in person to get status on my car. Something so simple as a phone call to answer my concerns but no I need to go to this shop in person. My service advisor was changed while my car was in the shop, therefore I do not have status of my car. Be aware

I saw a 2014 Lexus GS listed on their website and made an online inquiry. Soon after, I was contacted by the dealership via phone by a welcoming and friendly rep. He wasn't pushy nor the nagging type, which made me very comfortable speaking with him. As a result, I was encouraged to visit the dealership to checkout the car.I was greeted by Juan Gonzalez, sales consultant, who made the time to show me all the certified pre-owned GS Models available. He pulled them out, parked them side by side, and made the time to go over all the details of each! He is a well informed sales consultant with excellent verbal / communication skills. Unlike many other sales consultant I worked with before, he was an active listener for a change. He made the time to answer all my questions and did not attempt to rush me into a sale. He even gave me and my wife the time to discuss our options.When it came to negotiations, he was honest and set reasonable expectations with regards to current offers and lease bottom-line deals. He went over the numbers and made sure we understood all the terms. He also was kind enough to attempt getting me a better deal than what as offered. He also introduced us to the sales manager who was as nice as he was. Overall, Very friendly and professional staff , it was a truly an excellent experience. Juan went above and beyond to accommodate to my needs and help me make the right choices. I am very pleased with Juan, all his efforts and the excellent deal he helped me get. Also, the sales manager was very welcoming and spent time with me and my wife to talk about the dealership and the deal we were negotiating. I strongly recommend Lexus of Manhattan if you are interested in a Lexus and in dealing with a friendly and professional staff.

I've dealt with many dealerships over the past several years and Lexus of Manhattan is certainly the best. My wife and I were truly amazed at the level of service and professionalism given to us. It was the most enjoyable experience we have ever had while car shopping. Our salesman, Otmane Tahiri, although new on the job, was outstanding in his efforts to make sure all of our needs were met. He even came in on his day off when we picked up our SUV to make sure everything went smoothly. He was a pleasure to deal with. The sales manager and service manager were also fantastic and eager to help out in any way that they could. Just a fantastic bunch of people who made our car buying experience one that we will never forget

Jonathan was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, straightforward and organized. We felt great driving away in our Lexus NX200 after only a few hours at the dealership.Psyched about our new car --That said I was bummed about the internet 'come-on' that got us to the dealership -- it quoted a monthly lease payment a good $150 lower than what we ended up with (it pertained to only the lowest end, , pre-owned car in the line and was not reflective of the 'general' monthly on the car.) I guess most car companies do this to get you in the door but still it was a bummer (which accounts for our rating, below, that the online/dealership experience were not in sync.)That said, we don't fault Jonathan for this disconnect and are happy for the service he gave us. And the car is bee-YOU-tiful!

The service manager Nelson was unprofessional (whined for 10 minutes about his problems upon meeting him), then showed poor knowledge of services (we can't test your engine vibrations if these show up above city speed limits), then was making falls claims (if you change your light bulbs outside of this dealership, then you warranty will be voided), and was unwilling to accommodate, or work with a customer (the cost of light bulbs at Lexus of Manhattan purchased on line were significantly cheaper than the ones that service mngr. offered). Nelson stated: if you deliver these bulbs to me then we will install them. Another words, he was asking me to pick up light bulbs at his parts department and deliver them to his mechanic. Best of all - the survey manager had Nelson call me after my unsatisfactory comments and Nelson attacked me over the phone about my negative review! (My wife was listening and she got afraid that this man will find us and slash our tires). My car "lost" additional light (fog light went out) while in service - service advisor's (Nelson) comment: we don't check these.Lastly, the engine vibrations which were main reason for my visit not only did not go away but intensified.

I was given an appointment to come and test drive. It was confirmed and I informed them the exact time I will be coming.As I was about to leave home to drive 110 miles (2 hours drive); I received an email that they sold the car which they made appointment with me. When I called their manager Juan then he told me that there are 18 people are trying to sell the same car and since I did not deposit any money then it is sold to someone else. I told them that they why did they not ask me to make a deposit I also argued that if I am already negotiating with one sales agent then how others are allowed to sale the same vehicle. How can anyone deal with them. It is Rey likely that you are negotiating one car which is already been sold.

HORRIBLE!!! Don't trust these people includes their management regardless of what they tell or promise you even if they confirm you by writing. They are Not professional and wasting time of customers for nothing with their promises. The management doesn't care about customer service and about promises of sales managers. I tried to contact General Manager Greg Rojek to tell him about my horrible experience with his managers, but he didn't care and never replied to any of my 2-3 emails. Not only do they have poor customer service but they DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU AND YOUR TIME!!!I wouldn't recommend this place and would not ever go back, they are a total bait & switch operation, and are a shining example of why people HATE car dealerships.Worst experience at a Lexus dealership ever. Purchased Certified 2014 Lexus from Lexus of Manhattan Jan. 2015. Was told by Dealership (Dan Leach, Greg Rojek) that this car had never been in an accident. I was given the cars "Car Fax" from the dealership that also did not reflect a previous accident.The price I paid reflected that. Also note that Lexus of Manhattan was the only previous owner of this car.Upon leaving the dealership I noticed that the bumper was slightly out of alignment with the frame of the car. I pointed it out to the dealer and they claimed to have it repaired. After Lexus of Manhattan completed their "repair", I noticed that the same problem remained.I took the car to another Lexus dealer to have the bumper checked. The car HAD been in an accident with over $1600. worth of damages. Lexus of Manhattan simply continue to deny any responsibility.. Lexus of Manhattan violated their own Lexus Certification agreement.If I had known the honest history of this car, I would had paid approximately $5000, less for it.

Lexus cars, most of them are good, however, the salesman will say anything to sell a car I was deceived on warranty and lied to on cost of lost key.I have a whole page of complaints , too long to list. I will add that one supervisor ( not fired) in service tells me my leak in tire is normal and I just had to keep putting air in it. The repair receipt showed they checked for leak but found none. Made purchase of a "Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle" . After taking ownership of vehicle many few things started going wrong on the vehicle. After shine on tires disappeared I noticed tires were old and showed hairlines cracked all around tires. Also known as dry rotted tires. Another issue was a rattle coming from the steering wheel column. Both of those issues should had been taken care of at time of Certifying the vehicle. I took the vehicle back to Lexus of Manhattan and Used vehicle Sales Manager Danny, dismissed me saying the tires are not dry rotted buy dry cracked. I would have assumed he had knowledge on vehicle maintenance but he didn't. Nor tires or rattle was taken care of. On a later day I checked the key fob valet keys. One of the keys they gave me does not belong to my vehicle. The overall condition of the vehicle I purchased is great. My experience with this Lexus dealer was not the best. The used vehicle section needs new management. The sales men are great, but the maintenance of the used certified vehicles needs to be addressed.

Follow up took at least 4 days to get back to on the smallest questions. I signed a purchase order and left a blank check on Sunday after no follow up from my salesman I finally got the Mgr to reply on WEDNESDAY and it was only to say he is looking at the check and needs me to do a list of things which I could have taken care of between Sunday and Wednesday if someone had told me to. I could on and on with examples like this that took place with these guys. Would never buy from the again regardless of how bad I want the car I'll wait til someone else has it.

I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience in buying a car in Manhattan. This Lexus dealership is located along a stretch on 11th Ave, with many other competing dealerships. Upon arriving at Lexus, you notice the little things that make a difference (i.e. the valet parking, organization, bespoke and professionalism of the staff). Michael Johnson was great. Purchased a 2010 RX450h. The car is great except for a poorly designed USB port. Salesman promised to pick up car at service and drop off loaner. That was a lie, in 4 years that never came true. Immediately car had a squeak noise when running. Told I was imagining it. It took 3 visits and GSM to get fixed. 2011. In last 4 years, Each service visit needs "extra" items, often to $500+! 2012 they called and thought tech had left a flashlight in engine and wanted me to come back to return it. SERIOUSLY.? Late 2013 advised nitrogen in new tires. Mid 2014 dash display low pressure. Can't use regular air, brought car in 3 times EVERY TIME LOW PRESSURE returned.Over 4 visits, paid to have regular air put back, bought 3 new tires. Paid for 3 visits. Was told "we have checked everything" this dealer replaced all good tires and left bad one on. They seriously don't know which tire is on display? Replaced bad tire in Long Island all fine now. Using Hampton Lexus for now.

From the beginning, Lexus was sloppy. I made an appointment and when I showed up, they had no record of it in the system. The worst was that when I returned my leased vehicle, they also didn't have that appointment in the system and it was a chaotic experience. I returned the car in pristine condition and several weeks later received a bill claiming I only returned one key. I absolutely returned two keys. Lexus never asked me to sign anything that day and they have subsequently kept no paperwork. I have disputed the charge but it's been like a vortex with my account going to a collection agency. 8 months later, I have paid the $400+ charge so I don't have a credit issue but I am still hoping to be reimbursed. I feel like its a scam just to get end of lease cash out of me. To add to their sloppiness, it's almost a year after I returned the car and I'm still getting email offers and calls to schedule service appointments. Don't use them!

Go elsewhere for service. I felt scammed. I returned a leased vehicle in pristine condition and later received an invoice for $400+ for a lost key when I returned both keys. The dealer has no record from that day to show whether I did or did not return the keys and I seem to have no recourse as I have been in a vortex on this dispute for 6+ months. I finally escalated this to the General Manager who was also not helpful. Throughout my lease term, I felt overcharged for service and more than once there was confusion on appointments booked.

I purchased a pre-owned Toyota Highlander from Lexus of Manhattan. My overall experience with this dealership was excellent. The facility was very nice and clean. The sales manager, Rodney? was very personable, helpful, and pleasant. He made us feel at home. Our salesman, Josh, was a nice, helpful man, who did not pressure us to purchase the vehicle.He let us take a test drive and decide ourselves whether to make the purchase.The price was fair and they knocked a couple of hundred dollars off.The business manager ? conducted our transaction in a professional but also personable way. We were able to drive the car home that same day, after it was fully detailed. I haven't bought many cars lately, but I've never been at a dealership where they bring you soda and pizza while doing the paperwork. If you want to be treated right, and not go through some of the BALONEY (no cursing allowed) that some other dealers put you through, I would recommend Lexus of Manhattan, and I'd ask for Josh.

I figured let me see what they were about. I must admit getting connected with Augie was truly a blessing, definitely not the typical car sales person you hear about. Augie was patient, relaxed, pleasant and didnt try to pressure me into a sale. We discussed several options and with the approval of his supervisor (Louis) we were able to get a win-win for all. Lexus of Manhattan by far is a true representation of the Lexus brand and honestly made me feel like I was a valued customer. I will start from the bottom by saying you have to experience it yourself as I did, I work at a dealership in new jersey and we had a lot of customers coming from new York to buy cars at our dealership and so when I saw this car on cars.com and liked it very much but I hesitated when I realized the dealer was in new York but something was telling me to give it a try so I set of with my daughter one morning and I was greeted with very nice and lovely people all over the place, we felt like we were part of them, mike in used car showroom was my salesman, he was on top of his game, nice gentleman, not aggressive , customer service was super and I got a deal of a life time. most importantly this one dealer changed my hole perception of buying a car in new York. Mr Socrates provided tons of knowledge about the many features the car had to offer bringing me up to date and the gave me a presidental send off by holding up traffic as I embarked on my journey accompanied by my 2011 Lexus RX 350!!! Went in this past Saturday to look at a used IS250. Josh Garcia was my salesman and he was very kind of professional. Very friendly and not aggressive or pushy at all. He had great insight into the car and answered any questions I had. After the sale was completed they took time to clean the car and Josh walked me through all the basic functions inside the car. Again, his knowlodge of the car was impeccable. The people in finance and insurance were also very helpful. I would definitely do business with Josh and Lexus of Manhattan again in the future.

I have never walked into a dealership and felt so much at home. Louis the pre-owned manager was the first i spoke to regarding the car i wanted who was very informative and helpful. I then meet Augie the sales rep who was very excited to get me in the car for a test drive. We sat down talked numbers and there was no stoping this team from getting me in this car. Got approved sat down with Natily who finalized the whole deal. Not once did i feel pressured or treated a certain way. Augie was by my side the whole process making sure i was as comfortable with the sell as he would want to be and to make things even better his impressions of scarface, rocky, and bill clinton really sealed the deal for me. I felt comfortable as soon as I entered the dealership. A person greeted me when I walked in and guided me to Flavio's office. Within a few seconds of reviewing my past history on his computer, Flavio knew what kind of service I needed. He gave me options on the kind of service and would receive, and told the price difference for the services, which I appreciated. The car was ready later that evening, but I was unable to pick up, and Flavio gave me the option of picking up the car the next morning. When I picked up the car it was fully cleaned inside and outside.

I walked in with no much expectations due to bad experiences in other dealers. Joel took us for a test ride (IS 250) and was very knowledgable of the car features and very nice and eager to answer any questions we had. Even though were very clear that we just wanted to test it, Joel took the time to explain every feature of the car and all its benefits. We were very impressed with the level of customer service offered to us. During the delivery of the vehicle Joel took the time to go through every feature inside and out. He didn't rush at all explaining and showing how everything works. Help me pair the phone and install apps that are compatible with the phone. Moreover, the next day Joel called to see how everything was going. Louis helped me decided on what was better for us extremely helpful and great person to talk to. I am sure his employees are very happy to have a manager like him. Richie in Finance took the time to explain the whole contract step by step and all benefits, due dates, terms, etc. I feel lucky to have deal with Lexus of Manhattan where is not like other dealers. Their employees want you to leave driving a car and be happy about it not leave and feel you were ripped off. I could say that we will come back to this dealer for any future purchases.

After stopping by at Lexus of Manhattan, I realized not only RX350 FSports is a great car, the crew at manhattan is amazing people to do business with! From my sales person Danny, sales manager Aladdin to GM Greg, they were all amazing at customer service. Also,I can't forget to mention how patient and thorough Rich the finance manager was. I put in an offer for a Pre-owned vehicle they had on the lot expecting them to give me a counter offer. Instead I received emails from Katherine and she didn't help me or give me any information other than specials that weren't even offered on my inquiry. After a couple of emails that were no help they just ignored me completely. Very unprofessional and very disappointed in the service. I live a little over 2 hours away and they wanted me to drive there and talk to them. All I wanted to know is if the vehicle's sticker price was the lowest they could go.

I brought my Lexus RX-350 in for a 35,000 routine service appointment. I was promptly and courteously greeted and then directed to Flavio Fandino's office where he very professionally went through his service recommendations. When I opted to do much less to my Lexus, Flavio did not try to sell me more services, pressure me or scare me. He just told me the consequences of omitting such important preventative maintenance.After a very reasonable and comfortable wait my car was ready. The work was very well done, every Lexus of Manhattan employee that I came into contact with was professional and courteous and the entire experience was exceptional. I think my Lexus RX-350 is a pretty good vehicle but the service I receive at Lexus of Manhattan is exceptional in every manner. In other words, good car, but better service !

I worked with Paul Dupree. From the moment I walked into the showroom, Paul welcomed me and asked if he could help me. He was friendly, smart and a total professional. I was trying to decide between two different models. He didn't come on strong and tell me Lexus is the best don't think of anything else which is what I experienced at other dealerships. He made sure he understood my needs. He asked appropriate questions and described the cars features. He presented me with a car that met all of my requirements. He was fantastic. We thoroughly discussed financing, buying and leasing. I purchased the car. The Technology Specialist, Juan, explained each feature of the car and was also excellent. He knows the Lexus brand and trained and explained every feature in the car. He is an excellent trainer. My experience with Lexus of Manhattan was outstanding from start to finish. Although with Lexus there is no finish, they check up on you, continue to answer questions and offer a variety of services.

The experience I had at the Lexus of Manhattan dealership was remarkable. Everything was exceptional. From the ease of filling out the credit application, to viewing pre-owned cars from the website. Before owning a Lexus, I was strictly a fan of the Ford Mustang Convertible, but after my pleasant experience, I am completely enamored with the beauty and excellent craftmanship of the Lexus. I was convinced prior to my purchased that the Lexus was, simply an overpriced Toyota. But, after driving one, it feels like I am inside of the space shuttle. My car has all the luxury and conveniences that I could ask for. I have put away my portable GPS and Iphone USB cords. Now, I simply use the on board GPS and bluetooth features. My salesman was referred to me by my neighbor, Frank Morales. The salesman was Josh. He treated me with respect and kept in constant contact with me, as my credit wasn't the greatest. I previously had a loan for 72 months on a Ford Mustang Convertible at over 18% interest with a trade-in and $5000 downpayment to a Lexus ES 350 at a little more than 8% interest for 60 months with no trade-in or downpayment. I have been bragging about the car and the dealership to my neighbors and friends. Every car I purchase in the future will, definitely be from the Lexus of Manhattan. I will reach out to Frank and Josh when it's time to upgrade or trade in my current model. Had a major problem with the steering column on my 2010 RX350. The dealer was able to get it repaired even though the warranty had recently expired. It was a complicated repair and I was kept informed and also offered a loaner car which I didn't need. Overall I was treated excellently .

So, I lost my Lexus RX330 in hurricane Sandy and needed to replace it as soon as possible. We opted for a very specific RX350 just off lease. I had owned my previous car for less than a year, so had just went through all the nonsense of coping with the nonsense that most dealers give you. I had seen an ad on autotrader from Lexus of Manhattan and decided to stop in. Natily Martinez was the sales rep we had gotten on that Saturday morning and what a blessing she was! They did not have the color/option combination that we wanted, so we continued searching with a promise that she would call if something came in. Natily would call us every week for two months telling us what was available and assuring us that we were not forgotten. Sales rep of the year award? She has my vote!!On the way back from California we get a phone call and the perfect car came in. Natily knew how particular I am about cleanliness and made sure that she added her own diligence into making sure the car was up to my standards. We negotiated a great price for the vehicle and have been happily driving it ever since. What set Lexus of Manhattan apart? The general manager, Greg Rojek, for one was amazing! I truly can't say enough good things about this man. He made sure we felt like family and always came to say hi to us and ask us about our family details that most people would forget. He streamlined the process so well that you felt as if you truly had a family member working there. Second, was the level of care from the support staff. From making sure we had a printout of the car's history and streamlining the paperwork - Ritchie Velijia (what a guy!), to setting up insurance, to Socrates Nova setting up our devices to sync with the car before we left (and he gave us his info if we had any tech questions). Oh, I almost forgot! How many car dealerships actually call you AFTER you purchase the vehicle to make sure you are happy with the purchase? How many dealerships actually swap out any scuffed or otherwise imperfect parts before sale? How many dealerships have sales reps who are not "working" with you helping you? Not many, I can assure you. What you should be aware of: There is a reasonable dealer prep fee (prices are still alot better even with this!). You can get alot of mileage out of this to make sure your car is perfect. This car dealership is in Mahattan. Space it tight in the city and so if you go outside the showroom to the garage, you may be shocked that it looks like... a NYC garage! Many cars come in all the time, so may not be prepped yet when you come in to see them. Give them the time to ready them for purchase and they will look awesome.Honorable mention: JP Mack. A great sales rep that you should ask for if you want to be treated with courtesy and respect. Natily was our girl and we love her, but if she isn't available, ask for JP.

It was not a good experience. I got a lease price over cars.com from them. The price met my target price, so I went over to the dealership to take the lease. I met a salesperson who took the price from their own email. He looked in inventory and found that the car I was looking for was not in. So he offered me another package for $60 more. I refused it. He offered to find me the same car for just $40 over the price. Then he told me the famous line that he needed to speak with the manager. He came back 35 minutes later with some lunch bag. Now I know where their manager meets with their employees. He offered me a coffee and said that they could come up with $25 over the original price. I refused. The top manager came up with the brilliant line, he car wee given you the offer on was white and is gone already. So I left the dealership. I walked to the neatest subway station, and by that moment I got an email from them with the final offer for the car of $20 over the original price and immediate availability. Summary: They do not honor their own promises.

I had a wonderful experience at Lexus of Manhattan and with Joel. I went in after doing extensive internet research and had narrowed my search to 3 cars (one being the Lexus). Joel was very patient and attentive, but not pushy at all in the sales phase. The professional atmosphere of the dealership and the fact that Joel was able to locate and bring the exact car that I wanted to the dealership within 24 hours was very impressive. We bought a Lexus 450h two years ago from lexus of Manhattan and could not have been happier. We were contacted by Jay this week to with an offer to trade us in for a 2010 model RX450h. Jay explained that it would involved no cash and that he had numerous 2010 RX450hs to pick from all with approx 30k miles on. He explained if we bought over the same terms (60 Months) he could lower our payment by $50 a month toowhats not to like?I explained to Jay that we live in Warren County, NJ and it would be a 90 min drive.we would both have to take the day off work. I explained that there was no way was I willing to increase my payment or offer cash to this deal. I expect it to be exactly like he had explained and anything less he would be wasting all of our time. He assured me that his offer was genuine.When we arriver, Jay immediately tried to talk us into the RX350 model. When we explained we were not interested, Jay came out with a 2010 450h with 33k miles on itjust like we had discussed. After chatting to him, he told us he could do the deal and out payments would be $679 a month thats $119 MORE, not $50 less. Whats more he had ONE other model at 40k miles which he was able to offer us at the same payment per month (not the $50 less).In front of Alladin, who Jay had led us to believe was the manager, I looked at Jay and asked him why he has promised us: a saving of $50 per month, and a large pool to choose from, when in fact there was only two vehicles. Jay just stared towards the ground. Alladin, repeated that he had only one vehicle at 40k miles that could meet the deal we were offered. I left in disgust. I do not do business with liars.This was a clear bait and switch, something you do not expect from a Lexus dealer.Thanks to Jay, my wife and I lost a day at work, a tank of gas and we added 200 miles to our car. Jay does not appear on this site for some odd reason, so I have left it under Alladin as he dealt with us too.Ill stick to Bridgewater next time. Lexus of Manhattan just lost a customer.UPDATE: I was called by a manager after posting this review asking me to take it down saying he wanted to put this right. he apologized for the salesman and said he was new and that was not normally how they did business. He offered me a free service which I declined (Not driving 90 miles for a service). He then told me he was determined to make me happy and get me the deal I was promised.One week later he called and said he was still looking......That was August 2012....9 months later I havent heard another thing.

I am very impressive with the service I got from this dealership. Aldo is an exceptional salesman and went above and beyond to assist us. He is very knowleagable and friendly. My husband and I were in the market for a used RX350 and Aldo was really helpful in showing us different cars and explaining to us. I feel that he really listend to what we want and tried to help us find the perfect car. We didn't not feel pressued to make a decision at all at any point. When we finally found one we like, he was honest with us and patiently went through all the details/imperfectness about the car with us and did not try to hide anything, which made us feel very comfortable and at ease. He was with us every steps of the process to explain everything and made the whole experience as painless as possible. We drove the car home the same day and decided to drive back later in the week to the dealership for touchups and service. He called to follow up and made sure everything is in order. Aldo is the person you want when lookig for cars. Thank you for making this was the most pleasant car-buying experience we've ever had and we highly recommend this dealership to anyone and will definitely go back for future purchases.

I am on my second car lease with Lexus of Manhattan. I have had an overall good experience with sales consultants but not with the service department. The service consultants have messed up the timing of my appointments (I have actually come in for service for them to tell me that it could not be done and they didnt have a telephone number to call me to let me know). With my first vehicle leased, I had to bring back the car at least one time because something simple I asked to be fixed was not checked, hence not completed. I have had trouble with the performance of the second vehicle I leased. I have brought it back several times (a case was opened with Lexus) but I cant seem to get it resolved. I have trouble getting call backs from anyone from the service department.I am writing this review as I am very frustrated and dont know what else to do.

I have just taken possession of a 2011 RX350 and feel I must comment on my deallings with the staff of Manhattan Lexus. Being from far away Canada I must confess I was somewhat apprehensive on the outcome of this experience. My first contact was MARLIES JOHNSON (MJ) who quickly put me at ease with caring attention and valuable information on the vehicle I had spotted on the internet.MJ was most thorough and always easily accessable to all my concerns and needs. My next contact was LEONARDO LINARES who continued with the high standart of service providing me with the confidence and trust to procceed with the purchase of the vehicle site unseen. Leonardo meticulously prepared all the documentation and planning required to import the RX350 into Canada. (This paid huge dividends at the border). When I finally picked up the RX350, Leonardo patiently spared no effort to insure I was fully informed on all the funtions of the RX350 and to ensure I had a safe trip home procceeded to enter my home address on the navigation system and connected my cell phone to the car,s blue tooth phone system. We needed to repair our nine year old Lexus GX 470 (which we loved) but decided to get a new car rather than invest more $ into a nine year old vehicle. Aldo was incredibly patient and knowledgeable regarding all of the Lexus vehicles. For a variety of reasons having nothing to do with the quality of the Lexus vehicles, size dictates resulted in us selecting a low mileage non Lexus used vehicle that the dealership had just received on a trade-in. Aldo was just as helpful, and knowledgeable, regarding that car. You could say my wife and I were the "customers from hell" in that we did three different test drives, at three different times, including two evenings in one week where Aldo stayed past his usual departure time to accomodate my work schedule. Despite the "OT" nature of our demands, and the fact that we were also dealing with other dealers for other manufactures, Aldo remained as pleasent, helpful and patient with us as when we first walked in the door. Low key, helpful and honest. Very Professional. When we came to close the sale, Roy spent as much time as we needed explaining how everything in the new vehicle worked, which wasn't easy since it has a very complicated technology/navigation system. He knew this car (even though it wasn't a Lexus) inside/out and was just as professional, patient and knowledgable as Aldo. His offer to go through everything with us again at a future point in time after we have some experience with the car to answer any questions that we might have was completely genuine and we would not hesitate to take him up on it if needed. Roy also relocated everything from our old car to our new car. The insurance and registration paperwork, all done by the dealership, was seamless. Dealership gets all FIVES based upon the service provided by Aldo and Roy.

JP Mack was extremely helpful. Not only was he caring and friendly, but he went out of his way to make sure that I got what I wanted. They did not have the color combination that I wanted for my 2011 IS 250, so JP got on a train the next day to Albany and picked up the car from a dealership that was four hours away and drove it back to New York City that night so I could pick up the vehicle the next day before my lease expired. I had two bad experiences with this dealership - first time when I brought my car for a free recall repair service and the service rep tried to sell me $650 worth of additional mechanical work on my car, some of it unnecessary based on the view of the mechanic I usually use.The second experience was worse: I brought my car to be appraised with the idea of selling it for Lexus certified pre-owned program. I used Lexus on-line calculator to get an estimate of a trade-in value and Lexus rep reached out to me and made an appointment to bring my car in for evaluation, being very clear that I wasn't buying, but looking to sell. Neither manager nor receptionist in Lexus had any notion as to why I brought my car, once I explained, the manager left me standing in the middle of the floor for more than 40 minutes while he looked at my car, and did his calculations, I presume. Then, while I was still standing in the middle of the floor, he gave me an offer full $5K less than their on-line estimate (and Kelley blue book estimate for a trade-in) with very hurried and frankly, nonsense explanation as to who he arrived at it. I was very disappointed with customer service experience I had in Lexus of Manhattan, having bought two cars from Lexus (from a different dealership, though), I was expecting much better.

I originally asked for Kevin Yu based on other dealerrating ratings when I scheduled the appointment but apparently he was busy and I got James which I was equally happy with since he also got great reviews. He was very nice (accept sometimes a bit hard to make out) and super friendly. He started out by asking about what I wanted first and foremost before getting into any details about the price (which makes sense since people who buy luxury cars want their needs met and care less about the price). I'm a bit frugal myself so I did care about it. After getting information about the kind of car (options) and colors he went to see what cars were available that met those needs. After finding the car it had some of the things I wanted plus others but I understand it's hard to get exactly the car you want since everything isn't made to order unless you want to wait 2-3 months for it to be built. Since the promotion for the December event was going to expire in 1/4/2012 I had to take delivery of it asap anyways since it was late December.Even after reading all the gotchas online I still feel for the negotiating based on the lease price instead of the final price. I came in with the expectation of getting the $449/month deal but the car with the options I wanted came out to an additional $4k so now the lease is $549/month ($4k divided by 36 months). What I haven't realized or forgot was that in reality it should of really been $4k / 36 months * residual percentage since I'm basically paying full price for the additional options instead of the residual. I realized this after the fact so that was a $1.5k mistake. I also didn't negotiate on the final price of the car which should of made my overall payments lower. I wanted to know final cost, residuals, money factor/APR, etc. but he insisted that only the system could work out the proper numbers so working using the lease numbers was easier for everyone. I kind of agreed even though everything I read was contrary to that.The MSRP of the $449/month deal was based on a $46k MSRP. My car came up to $49.5k MSRP but if I negotiated on the final price according to edmunds.com I should have been able to get $46k invoice easily which should have matched that $449 deal.Overall, their sales service and customer service was top notch and although I didn't get the best deal in the world I felt happy that I wasn't getting short-end on the service side which probably would have happened at the Brooklyn dealership based on the horror stories there. I had some missing air caps and a wheel lock and James was nice enough to send them overnight to me at no charge.Here's a good detailed breakdown explaining the different ratings I selected.Customer Service: Good. Willing to work very hard to make things right for you and at your convenience.Quality of Work: Good. I usually hate when dealers put on a sticker advertising their dealership even though we get nothing out of the free advertising. However, this dealership kicked it up a notch and used the same lettering as the Lexus' own and it said "Manhattan". Which was very classy, indeed. Nothing worse than a nice luxury car with a $.10 sticker that said "xxxx dealership". I actually opted to have them put that on there instead of the word Lexus. Would be nice if some smaller detailed weren't missing but the customer service picked up the slack.Friendliness: Great. James was impeccable in terms of friendliness. Although he did get some minor technical details in the car wrong but not a big issue. I'm a computer geek so I was okay with that.Overall Experience: Good. Even though I know I didn't get the best price they made me feel like a king. Coupled with the friendly sales rep and customer service I'm hoping this will pay off over the life of the lease especially when I turn it in.Price: I was hoping for the edmunds.com price based on what I picked but got MSRP along with the sales tactic of paying full price for options instead of residual price but I would put that on me for not doing all my homework. However, I was glad I didn't get taken again when the business manager offered me to pay $1600 up front for the maintenance instead of the full $2400 for maintenance requirements. I said I'll think about it. When I went home to research I found out that it did cost $2400 for maintenance. So $1600 would probably have been a good deal however reading more in the literature the 1st two are complimentary (1 year). That means I only needed to pay for Year 2 and Year 3 since this was a lease. The cost for Year 2&3 was around $700. The $2400 quoted by the business manager was for 5 years. If I didn't do my research I would have payed up front for 5 years maintenance on a 3 year lease when the 1st year is free. 2011 RX Maintenance cost chartYEAR 1 | YEAR 2 | YEAR 3 | YEAR 4 | YEAR 5 | 5 YR TOTAL $147 | $242 | $425 | $1,081 | $425 | $2,320 Anyways, it's overall ok and would recommend this dealership much more over all the others in the 5 boroughs. At the end of the day do your homework and bring your own paperwork to get the most for your money since most of their seem to be missing some of the numbers. I don't think you can do better than this place in the customer service/friendliness area.

I was with James all day. He knew every single car in the line down to the smallest detail. I am an engineer and I was impressed. It did not matter what question I asked, he had the answer. When I first walked into Lexus I wasn't sure which year I wanted just the model. The first salesman I dealt with made me feel uncomfortable, chatting on his cell phone ect. I left with a sour taste in my mouth.Upon return I met James, I explained my situation and was very helpful from as soon as I walked in. First let me say that this will be my fourth Lexus car from this dealership with good reason. Lexus of Manhattan is known for their customer service and knowledgable sales staff. This is my first time dealing with James Rahim and I couldn't have been happier. From the first time we spoke on the phone James was honest in his approach and delivered a deal that worked for me and my budget. We were in the market for a car (new or used, lease or purchase), and decided to focus on Lexus and Acura. When we came into this showroom, we were met by Aldo Pinotti, a young salesman who was even-handed and gracious in allowing us to determine that a used Lexus best served our needs. We did not feel any of the pressure or unease we all fear when going through the car-buying process. While Aldo is somewhat new to car sales, he is a professional in the best sense of that word: smart, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. If there was ever a point at which he could not answer a question, he was honest and sought out the help of other Lexus of Manhattan team members. It meant a lot to us that they all work together so well. When it came time to put together the financing package, Anise Padang, the financing service manager, could not have been more straightforward in his explanations of the deal. All in all, it was a (shockingly!) pleasant experience. We will be happy to return to Lexus of Manhattan (and Aldo) again when we are ready for our next car.

I wouldn't recommend to go to any other dealer other than Lexus of Mamhattan and working with James. He is as professional as it gets and made this car buying experience a one of a kind. We weren't judged by our age and ethnicity which was important to us. James worked the deal to our liking and we went home completely satisfied. We tried taking the car home the same day but he told us to give him a day to prep the new car and he delivered the car spectacular with a beautiful red ribbon. He made it look as beautiful as it does in the commercials. We traded in our toyota corolla a year earlier for a brand new lexus rx 2012. James really is the guy to go to and he will be seeing us again for our other lexus

Our overall experience was good. Aladdin and Louis were really exceptional and great. They really made the long process bearable by being very attentative, patient and professional with us. Everytime we called, they were always willing to help and answer all our questions. If they were not able to give us an answer immediately, they always assured us they will get the answer and call us bank, and sure enough, they always did call back as promised. 02/08/11 I am interested in the purchase of the 2010 RX 454h. I had sent an inquiry to this dealership and have spoken to Tiffany Rollins, who was probably the most professional person to talk to.It turned out that they did not have any new 2010 RX 450h in stock but that there was a used one. She refereed us to a sales associate on Monday called Brent Broderson.He told us over the phone that the car was a loner car and that it was never sold before. This turned out not to be truth! Up on review of the CarFax the car has been previously owned. As you can imagine it doesn't feel good to be lied to, but we were already there so we still wanted to see the car and test drive it.He proceeded to tell us that the car is in the "Holding Area" and took me and my pregnant wife on a back door tour of your dealership showing us two flights of stairs of a parking garage. The car was dirty and had scratches and a busted front left bumper.Not the best experience so far especially when we are spending 40 45 K on a car.We test drove the vehicle and came back to the dealership to be told that, someone else has already purchased the vehicle! And that he would love to put our name on waiting list in case the deal falls through. But to do that he would immediately require a deposit! This vehicle is still showing as available online and the list price is 2000 lower than the price we were quoted.This kind of laying and manipulations remind me of good old days of selling "Lemons" that I had thought are long gone. We found His behavior unprofessional and disrespectful.The next day I called the national Lexus sales asking to do inventory search for a new 2010 RX 450. They told me that a nationwide system doesn't exists and that your dealership can pull regional dealer inventory.I was referred to Roger D and Greg R both managers. I called about 5 times attempting to reach them without any success. I left messages to be called back, and still I have not received any call back. I also left a VM to Louis Rivera and have not received a call back.02/09/11 Update:After contacting the dealership manager (Ignazio) I got a call back within an hour. He profusely apologized for the experience and offered to do anything to make it better. He offered to find a vehicle for me at dealer cost. Unfortunately only the 2010 vehicles without the Nav were available in the area, and the 2011 did not have the same incentives.I was able to find a vehicle I was looking for at EveryCarListed.com and purchased it the same week.03/03/11 Update.Ignazio called again to see how I liked the car and to ask for him when I go in for the first service. Nice touch.

Great deal on 2011 rx. Pleasure dealing with them. Easy and quick. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a straight to the point deal. I am in my late sixties an feel that I sales person was very patient as I was very unsure of moving into suv.

Purchased used RX350. Overall dealings with this sales person were unpleasant. Did not do work on the car that was promised. At the pick up car still had chips and scratches that were supposed to be painted. Sales gave lame excuses. But the worst part, they stole cargo cover and power outlet cover. Both was their when I purchased the car, but were missing at the delivery. Again, denial of the facts and lame explanations that car came like that.

I purchased my vehicle 5 months ago from this dealer. They were receomended from a friend of mine. I am not from Manhattan but work in the city. I have been to multiple dealers and could only say that it is a shame that other Lexus stores could not be like this one. Steve from the sales department was able to help me get a FAR more superior deal on my new car vs. my local NJ dealer. Last week, I dropped my vehicle off for service before going to the office and was pleasantly suprised at the level of attention a car dealership was able to give me. I will be sure to send my family and friends to this dealership in the future. They are truly a pleasure to work with.

The good reviews here cannot really serious. Here are the problems with this dealership.1. ArroganceThere are many others who point out this, so I don't have to stress that. Also look at the reviews in other sights, e.g., Google.2. DishonestyThey simply lie on their sale contract. They deceive with VIN numbers (seriously!). They never do what they said would do once the car is sold, which is expected though.3. PriceWell it's expensive. Maybe it is because it's in manhattan. I got service from here for warranty, but still it tends to be expensive than other dealers in the city.My advice is just go somewhere else no matter what.

First of all I got a great deal on a pre-owned trade-in here. I had been researching and shopping around for 3 months, this was the first place that did not give me a BS runaround on price (note - it was a non-Lexus model). I negotiated the price I wanted and put a deposit down the same day I went in to test drive the car, and three days later I completed the transaction and drove it home. The overall sales experience was a tremendous contrast to the crap I had to deal with at other (non-Lexus) dealerships. But then I discovered that the windshield had some kind of permanent smudge on it, right in line with the driver's view, and it would not come out with any conventional glass cleaners. I took the car back to Lexus about 30 days after I'd bought it and left it with them. When they also could not remove the smudge, they replaced the entire windshield. This is customer service, something most other dealerships and service centers in this area have given up on.

I do not want to use the employee name since this is a negative review on management and employees and their policies. I'll just use the their initials (M.J. & Manager) Although I only dealt with one typical used car sales person, but I think the problem is the management and their policy since the sales person may only be following company's sales tactic.What I did not like:1. Very rude considering they are in the sales...2. Sales tactic - for example, after making an offer on the car, offer went to the managers desk. Do not know what goes behind those walls, but they kinda disappeared. I think they are just trying to wear you down... same kinda of tatics unreputable used car dealer used to do decade ago. May be they are bring it back...3. Does not respect customer nor customer's time. I think their policy is to annoy you if the offer is not what they want. Simple yes or no will do.I'm posting this so that other can avoid the hassle of dealing with unprofessional sales people and there are other dealerships. Did not expect this from a Lexus dealership. P.S. If you had bad experience with this dealer, please post. I don't think I'm the only one with bad experience.

We just recently purchased an RX-350. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. All the details were communicated to me every step of the way. My experience at Lexus of Manhattan was excellent. From the beginning, when I was shopping to the moment I decided to lease the Lexus RX 350 the salespeople were friendly and extremely helpful. They answered all of my questions with detail and returned my phone calls in a very timely manner. The day I picked up my new Lexus was a wonderful experience, from dealing with the finance person Richie Rivera and filling out my paperwork to lease my new car to the delivery date when Josh walked me through every option of my truck I was truly pleased. Everyone at Lexus of Manhattan are knowledgeable of the product they sell and stand behind it. I went to pick up my Lexus GX470 today, and the experience was excellent. Lexus of Manhattan employees took great care of me, and made sure I understood everything about my car, and they would sit there until you do. If there anything I needed Lexus of Manhattan did their best to accommodate me. Regarding the service dept., here is what the General manager wrote to me, which he even admitted about the service dept., in the past was not up to par with the Lexus name brand. Mr. Iacono wrote, I am well aware about the postings on dealerrater.com. Please know that I take great pride in our store and take how our customers feel about us extremely serious. The posting that you see about service relates to a time during which there was an entirely different team here, including myself. The level of service during that time was indeed not up to our current standard. Upon taking over, I was able to assemble a new team that is truly geared to providing the highest level of service for our customers. True customer satisfaction is our number one priority. I am confident that once you are ready to deal with our service department, our actions will absolutely speak louder than my words. In short, have confidence in our service because we strive to be the best, and to this point, my team has not let me down. I agree with the other posters completely. This is the worst car dealer I've ever dealt with. Moved back to NYC with my 10 month old Lexus and the service was so much worse than my previous Lexus dealer. Service consultants have no idea what they are doing-- I actually had to look up information on the net and provide it to them to prove that Lexus has manufacture fixes for certain issues. They should be embarassed.

Took my vehicle in for the second time because they did not correctly fix my car the first time. The previous visit I had to wait almost an entire month the get my car back. They have really poor customer service. The service manager I dealt with was really bad. I was at the point where I was going to sell my Lexus to avoid this bad service. I wouldn't wish this dealer to my worst enemy.<br><br>AVOID AVOID AVOID

Nothing positive to say about this dealer. I live in NY and I found them rude beyond belief. Trying to get an appointment for "emergency service" - I was told I would have to wait a week...needless to say I went to another Lexus dealer who told me to "come in right away". I would bring my car in for two things and they would always forget to do one of them. Avoid if possible
