Wanted to buy new 2016 highlander. We were low balled $7500 on our trade in. What they didnt know was that our trade in was valued at kbb price from another toyota dealership. They then tried to sell us a vehicle in a different color even though we wanted the white one which they said over the phone they had. Now all of a sudden they're not sure they have it. Brent and Chris tried to mislead us. Stay away from this dealership.

Went to Lia for my yearly State Inspection. Robyn Ashley was my service tech and she was wonderful. Robyn was very thorough, respectful, considerate and professional. Offered other services for my Tacoma as a suggestion but never forced any programs on me. I recommend her for any future service needs I might require.

Got an inspection on my Toyota Tacoma and guy who did inspection said that I needed new front rotors because they had rust around the area that the pads did not touch. The brake pads were fine and didn't need replacement. I told him that I wanted to get a second opinion from some where else because it didn't sound right that the brake pads were fine but not the rotors. Then he said that I failed the inspection. I paid the $21 inspection fee and left. I thought when you failed an inspection that they remove the inspection sticker and give you a 10 day temporary slip in case you get pulled over. The next day I took my Tacoma to a local mechanic for an inspection. The vehicle passed with no problems. So I paid another $21 for an inspection which was much cheaper than to pay lia toyota of colonie $600 to replace rotors that were just fine.

Rotors had rust around outer edge and some rust on inside of front rotors. Brake pads were fine . Did not pass state inspection because of rust on rotors, was told that they could not be turned. Tire was on vehicle when they showed them to me. All rotors have some rust around edges where brake pads don't hit. Left feeling as if he tried bamboozle me. I could be wrong but that's the way I felt when I left. Vehicle has 21,200 miles. Just want to know if I really need to get new rotors.

Be very careful if getting service work done at this place. Typical switch and bait situation. I called ahead asking for the 40k service which is primarily tire rotation, oil and filter change. I had a family member take the vehicle in and they dropped in the extra services that were not requested. Of course, they blamed the person making the appointment as well as their own systems first that the clarity wasn't there of what I had wanted. My family member confirmed in person that all that was needed to be done was the 40k service. So, what's the bait and switch? Well, their own website lists 40k service quite plainly to match up with the Toyota manufacturer's recommendation. THEIR in-person brochure lists a bunch of extras which they claim is the recommended. Since I had turned down their extras at the previous service, they decided to re-add these services at this service. Here's the kicker...they added these recommendations BEFORE they had even checked that the car required them. How could Lia's mechanics even know that the additional services were needed if they hadn't checked the vehicle if it required it? Not surprisingly, they only performed the previous service that I did not request (essentially, the one that costs more) and disregarded the cheapo service work of a cabin air filter change. So of course, they proceeded with their brochure recommendation. I now get why people refer to these people as stealerships. Their general manager (Donato Benevento) was of no help who simply accepted that their technician was right and that he would side with his team member vs. believing a customer. There was absolutely ZERO attempt to make anything right.If you're reading this Mr. Benevento, while you may have attempted to act professional, you failed miserably in this department. Simply saying that there's no point in continuing the conversation since it's not going anywhere doesn't mean that you're in the "right". Your bait and switch program may be what's "standard" at your place but you've lost any future business from me as well as others that may be discouraged of working with your facility. Ironically, YOUR facility was actually not even the closest facility for me but I thought I could trust your location since I've had work performed there in the past. What a big mistake that turned out to be. There's more to the screw ups at Lia Toyota that I won't go into further since the theme/outcome is the same.For prospective customers reading this, you've been warned.

I had 3 recall notices which I wanted to be taken care of. They asked me if I wanted to take care of the inspection too. Against my better judgement, I said yes. BIG mistake. $230 dollars later, for 2 bulbs (well, actually one bulb and one socket re-seated) and an "adjustment" to the emergency brake, we're good (well, we passed inspection anyway). I think their hand is still in my pocket. Once burned, twice smarter. And, yes, I agreed to this. Hopefully, you don't wind up in this situation in the future. BTW ... the last car my wife and I bought was from Lia Honda, a Honda CRV. I guarantee the next one won't be! Once burned, twice smart.And, I have the bill for service in case you want to review it. Just ask. I'd be happy to share.

I was referred to Vince Nguyen by a friend at Lia Infiniti. His service was great; attentive, informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. I walked in not wanting to buy that day and he locked me into a great deal I couldn't say no to. We signed the prelimary papers and scheduled the pick up for Monday. Four days later when Monday came I received a call that the finance paperwork had not gone through yet and we pushed the pick up to Tuesday. Tuesday everything began as planned. The lady at the greeting desk( whose name I didn't catch, but was exceptional) ran us through all the neccesary trade in and purchase paper work except for the official financing agreements in all of ten minutes. It subsequently took over two hours to get into the business manager's office from that step. We weren't waiting for anything or anybody except Nick Simeone. Two and a half hours later when he finally came out to greet us I expressed my dismay to him and his response was "Sorry, I had an eighty year old couple in here before you guys and they couldn't even sign anything." As we got into discussion about the extended warranty I said with this price it makes the warranty only four dollars a month prior to doing the math based on my downpayment. He said " Vince did that for you for having to wait so long. For everybody else its normally about 18 dollars a month. " After doing the math in front of him factoring in my downpayment it came out to $20.50 per month for the extended warranty. Once I became aware that I was directly lied to and made a fool of I was very upset. Still expressing my frustration with the situation I said I don't want the warranty I just wanna sign the papers and get out of here, but I want Vince to bring in the paperwork for the free oil changes we'd agreed upon for the excessive wait which Nick became angry about and told me "Look we can stop this deal right now if you're not happy here we dont have to go through with this because clearly youre not gonna be satisfied." All this was said in front of my mother who came with me to pick up my first brand new car with no cosigner based on my credit and negotiation skills. I was treated with disrespect, lied to and screamed at over a process that could have taken only a few minutes, but dragged on for hours. I was extremely happy with my experience with Vince and love the new Camry I purchased however I don't know that after this experience that I would ever go back to Lia Toyota because no customers should be treated like that. The bad apple spoils the bunch.

Went to Lia to look at corollas.We had previously bought a Rav4 and a Matrix from Lia and found the experience to be both easy and painless.My wife thought my Matrix was getting a bit worn,though at almost 10 years and 150,000 miles it still ran well enough.I decided to lease for the first time and noticed that Lia had some nice lease deals online on corollas.We were checking out a Corolla LE Plus when a Mr.Harrison Kendersky rolled up on a golf cart and told us about the car and said he could give us a really good deal on a lease.And he did.A really great deal!The whole process was very smooth and before you knew it my wife and I had a beautiful Corolla with an excellent lease and no money down.Mr.Kendersky even threw in some nice mats and set up my phone with the car's bluetooth and explained how the Voice Action worked.The employees at Lia are why we come back and Harrison Kendersky is no exception.We were grateful for all his help.

Gerald Foti met me in the service bay with a friendly greeting. He immediately took note of my cars issue, a burnd out headlamp bulb. Paper work was prepared quickly. After a brief wait in a very comfortable waiting area I was told that the car was repaired and ready. This prompt repair was made without an appointment. Mr. Foti's work and Lia Toyota continue impress me. I will be back for the next service.

Robert Dellarocco was a perfect engineer for automobile. It was a regular maintenance for my car and it was Sunday. I was so happy because he returned my car washed even though car washing is not served on Sunday. And more, all took less than 50 min. It was a wonderful experience. I think it was a best choice to purchase my car here and all kind dealers and maintenance engineer what I have met there. I am really recommend Lia to everybody who are reading this review now. My representative, Steve Ogaard, brought the car in immediately, and went over the details of what would be involved in a four wheel alignment needed for the car. In addition, the battery was in need of replacement. Steve gave me a senior discount on much of the service, and made sure that the rebate card from the new battery would be taken care of. The car was done in a shorter time than expected.

Robyn was excellent at explaining the Toyota Care Plus plan over the phone and in person. Even though the service department was very busy when I came in for my appt, Robyn made a point of keeping me up to date on the progress of my RAV. She showed me my very dirty cabin filter explaining that it needed to be replaced. A mouse decided to start making a home in in! Even though I waited for over 2 hours I did not feel the bit annoyed because of the excellent service Robyn gave me. And when I had to go back a few hours later because of a loud noise coming from air conditioning fan, Robyn got me in right away and the problem was taken care of in a very short time. I'm very pleased with the attentive, excellent service that Robyn provided to me!!

I was very pleased with buying a car from Lia; it is usually not a pleasant experience. The sales person, Bill Boland, was extremely engaging, helpful and very knowledgeable. I had a particular model and color in mind; the specific model was not in the Lia inventory, but Bill lined up the exact car I wanted in a matter of hours. I had done a fair amount of research involving the value of my trade-in and the reasonable cost of the new car; we were able to settle the pricing issue very quickly. I would certainly put this dealership on the top of my list.

My first experience with Warren was when he sold my husband his beloved 2016 Camry. He was helpful throughout the entire process. Well, I found a beautiful Spring Green colored Scion iM that I fell in love with. Warren was busy with another customer but my husband and I decided that he was so personable and experienced with my husband's purchase we decided to hang out and wait for Warren. I ended up with a great car that day, Warren got me a great bargain and even stayed late to finish the process. Brought 2004 Corolla in response to recall notice for air bags. This problem was address in a timely manner. However, at same time informed of $1500 of additional estimated repairs, which came as quite a surprise as I had vehicle serviced with a re-built alternator at a different repair shop 3 weeks previously. Some parts and labor costs were reduced through dealership coupons. Kodey was helpful in arranging for me to retrieve my briefcase and obtain a loaner vehicle so that I could leave my vehicle for the remainder of the day for the mechanic to repair the timing cover seal and alternator belt. Thank you to Kodey and to the mechanic for the repair of the vehicle.

Brought my Toyota Sienna in for regularly scheduled maintenance and was kindly welcomed by Robyn Ashley. Robyn was warm and friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I typically think places like this are somewhat intimidating, but the presence of a skillful, smiling, petite woman seemed to make the whole atmosphere less threatening. The servicemen were quick and efficient, even washing my van by hand before I left. Really nice experience. This dealership has improved a lot since we first made our purchase, and I'm happy now that we stuck it out with them. Would purchase here again. Thank you, Robyn!

Deeply disappointed with the response of Lia Toyota Colonie NY Service Manager Tom Sinkora to Refuse to fix damage that occurred while getting a tire replaced on my Toyota Avalon. Insistence the service department did not cause the damage and that I should fix the problem to at my expense was not the customer friendly response I expected from a Lia car dealership. Thus I cannot recommend Lia Toyota to others for car service needs.

We want to thank Lia Toyota in Colonie for 20 years of service to our family.We have purchased two Corollas, one T100 truck and three Tacomas from Lia Toyota in the past 20 years. My personal experience is that they are an honest, hard working group who always puts their customer's needs first. Most recently, I purchased a used vehicle from them with damage we had not seen. I had asked Allie, my favorite sales girl, to keep an eye out for a gently used Tacoma TRD within my very narrow price range and a specific trade in value on my used Tacoma 4 cylinder. Allie caught a truck as it just came into their showroom and it was mine by that evening, coincidentally, a Sunday. None of us noticed the bed damage until the next day. I brought the truck in and it was seen by the sales manager Franke Grygiel. He and Allie promised to bring the issues to the attention of the general manager and come up with a fix.I admittedly was upset to find the damage on my truck and the sales manager Frank kept his cool and behaved like a true gentleman. He was a real professional and I felt so much better after he and Allie saw the truck and told me they would help out. Allie was very kind with me also and her word is for real. If Allie says she'll take care of you believe me, she means business.Allie got back to me and said they would fix my truck. She ensured that my rental vehicle was available while my truck was in the shop, so i didn't even have to wait. She texted me on a Saturday that my truck was ready to go. I was absolutely floored at the phenomenal job that the service department did, free of charge, on that truck. Lia Toyota went above and beyond the call of duty, and instead of just simply blowing me off (hey it's used after all), they made it like new. I have always been pleased with the service manager Tom at Lia Toyota. He's been there for advice on the old and ailing Toyota trucks, and also made sure my warranty items were taken care of under the deadline. He has made extra effort to ensure that Toyota recall items were taken care of also. Tom has personally driven my vehicles on several occasions when I was unsure of a problem to be sure that everything was covered. Tom texted me to ensure that I was happy (I was ecstatic!) with the work performed on my used Tacoma TRD. If you EVER buy a new Toyota, or a used Toyota, or need service on your Toyota, I suggest you go to Lia Toyota in Colonie. At this point all I can say is, this dealership is run by excellent people and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for sales and service. Thank you Lia Toyota!Julie Harrell

We had lost a key to our Prius. David Ury was able to save us about $100 by finding a discarded part. It is the little "emergency" key that is needed if one is going to attach a key chain to the key. Our sales consultant Mr. Warren Roger is very knowledgeable, straightforward, professional and pleasant to work with. Warren listened carefully to our preferences, took detailed notes, and searched thoroughly in Lias system to identify the vehicle that meets our needs. Moreover, Warren was very patient and considerate; we didnt feel any pressure one would expect from other dealership. Plus, Warrens style was highly proficient: we walked in at 10:00am in the morning, Warren identified the car for us and helped us with test drive, we then made the decision around 11:00am and went back home for lunch, when we came back at 3:00pm in the same day, Warren already got my old vehicle trade in, new car registration, new car insurance, new car detailed clean all taken care of!!! We were really impressed by this ultrasonic fast yet super smooth process conducted by Warren!! Happy campers finally left the dealer in their new car at 4:00pm. It is also noteworthy to mention our happy experience working with business manager Mr. Aaron Tice, who made the financing process easy and quick. We have purchased 5 vehicles from Lia Toyota over the last 8 years and we have dealt with a few service members when we brought our vehicles in for service, which were nice no complaints. I traded my 09 Rav4 limited in for a 2015 Rav4 limited and love it, we drive cross country every year and I was getting ready for a trip after I had my Rav4 in for the 5000 mile service check. I had 8500 miles on my vehicle and wanted an oil change before the 10, 000 mile oil change before the trip so I didn't have to deal with it on vacation. When I went in I was greeted by a young man named Brian Powell and I explained why I had brought my vehicle in and he said no problem and he explained everything they would be doing. When the service was done Brian again explained everything and that everything was in great shape for my trip. After my trip I was due for another 5, 000 mile service, now I had13,500 miles on the vehicle and was so happy to see Brian was my service team member, he is very polite young man and will take the time to listen and explain things to you. I hope the next time I come in for service which will most likley be at the end of Sept, another cross country trip coming up at the end of the month that Brian will be my service team member. In my opinion Brian Powell is an asset to the Lia Toyota Service Team and look forward to dealing with him again. A very pleased I Love myToyota owner.

Stopped by Lia Toyota this weekend,after receiving a mailing. Took about 10 minutes for salesman to approach,even though lot was pretty much empty. Salesman stated that mailing was only to get people in lot & wouldn't get any where near what was indicated on mailing for trade-in. When asked what we could expect to get for trade in was told that the person that does that wouldn't come out to even look at trade-in until we committed to buying a car. Salesmen stated,"We are too busy for that"(even though there might have been 2-3 other people in lot looking). Suggested maybe we would come back on Sunday,maybe not so busy. The salesman stated,"good luck with that",then walked away. Went to Northway Toyota. Salesman very professional & friendly,more than happy to look at trade. Left with new truck. Lia Toyota lost sale of $35,000 truck ,reason,salesman.

Gerry was a very sensible service attendant. My 11-month old airbag light came on last week, so when I thought this old problem was resolved last year (after shelling out so much time and money last summer), I was dismayed and asked him for a free diagnostic. Gerry said they'd run the code for free; thankfully there were no trouble-spots and I didn't pay one thin dime and he was professional and very gracious about the whole issue.

I have had a preconceived notion that to get a car serviced at the dealership would be extremely time consuming, complicated and inconvenient. Well Lia has proven me wrong. I went in with a Fleet vehicle with out an appointment. From the time I pulled up to the service department everyone was very helpful and professional. Kodey Stanley was very helpful and persistent in dealing with the fleet company to get authorization for the repairs on my vehicle. He effectively took the stress off of me and kept me informed every step of the way. With his help I was out of there with in a couple of hours. Purchased new 2015 Camry. Brent Livingston, my salesman (2nd Toyota from him) is outstanding and cannot say enough about him for on time, courteous etc. On 5-21-15, I met with Brent made out deal at 10:15 am, I was told Nick the financial person would not be in until 12:00, I almost left why wouldn't Lia have a financial person to finish the transaction ? Nick was suppose to phone me just after 12:00, I waited until 3:45. Un-exceptable. Pick up day 5-25-15, Met Brent on time 10:00, I had to wait for Nick until 10:30. I figured this Nick (friendly enough) must be related to the Lia family. But, I will think twice before doing a transaction if Nick is involved.G. Westerveld

We purchased a car in January and we were sold an extended warranty that we could cancel at any time through Zurich. We canceled the warranty 3 weeks later and we are still waiting for out refund. When you e-mail they never get back to you, when you call you always get a voicemail with out any return call. We have been through 4 different people who say they will help us but never end up doing so. They have lost a customer and I will never refer anyone to them.

I told Vince I didn't want a test drive, that all I wanted was to know what options I could afford with my credit and with different amounts paid up front. Thomas Pottenburgh guided me through my purchase of my new PriusV. He is knowledgeable about the product, trade-in and finances. That made my experience anxiety-free. We are an older couple and Tom was very sensitive to ensure that we were physically comfortable during the process. He arranged installation of heated seats on short notice so that the car was ready at the appointed pick-up time. The finance process was efficient and accomplished to my complete satisfaction .Explanations about the operation of the car were clear and concise so I felt confident driving home. Art Palazollo was the person that checked me in and listened to me try to explain the noises I had heard and what had happened. He was excellent at asking the right questions and figuring out what I was saying. He made me feel good about bringing my car there. It turned out that they could find nothing wrong and it was checked out thoroughly. Everything was tight and as it should be. He told me even before leaving the car that it might have just been a chunk of ice dislodging. We felt it was best to have it checked out anyway. The cost of just checking it out was explained right up front. It checked out fine and I have peace of mind. I would definitely bring my car back for any needed service. My husband and I recently purchased a Toyota Rav 4 from Lia Toyota, Colonie ,NY. Our service couldn't have been better. Our sales person, Mark Stryker, was personable, very knowledgeable and patient with the multiple trips we caused him to make to management as well as with me changing my mind every five minutes about color and features required. You will not go wrong requesting him to be your sales person. The dealership is clean and well staffed. They have a comfortable seating area and a coffee machine that actually serves enjoyable coffee. I will be back for another RAV4 in the future.

Shaun Cuff did a great job of explaining what would be included in my service and then told me what the technician found that required correction. Nothing was done without my authorization. The estimated wait time was accurate and it was nice to be able to read in the waiting area without having a TV blaring nearby. All told, a very good experience.

I own a 2013 Rav which is clearly a lemon. I owned a Rav previously which I loved. My current car is more luxurious but I have had it in the dealership at least 5 times in the past year. I have had numerous problems which miraculously get fixed when I bring it in only to malfunction again within a few days or weeks. Toyota gives me a lot of lip service but they never really resolve anything. I also get horrific gas mileage--barely 20 mpg. The dealership says there is nothing they can do. If you have a car with no problems this is a great dealership--the staff are friendly, the service staff are great and really try to accommodate you but there is not much they can really do. After hours spent there waiting for service for yet another problem I told them I wanted another vehicle. i never heard back from them. I will never buy another Toyota and will never buy from Lia. At least at Fusillo you get a cruise...

We always bring our Prius to Lia for scheduled maintenance. They always do a great job, and we love the had wash. We brought it in last week for a 5000 tune up and were very pleased with our support from Stephen Ogaard who even came and found me directly when the service was done. I went to this dealership to get my oil changed. The person that was helping me, Shaun Cuff, was very professional and friendly. He greeted me right now and took my car in for the oil change. He noticed my state inspection was expired days ago and took care of it for me. He came back shortly to explain to me that one of my tire needed to be replaced. He also gave me a list of different tires to choose from. I was very happy with the fast and professional service. I will definitely come back here again.

The service and the people were the best that I have dealt with in quite some time, I mean like the last ten years. I am on oxygen and Richard Grugan was very helpful and courteous when I needed to trade my oxygen tanks out. Also there were other employees that were concerned about my breathing and they also helped, the guy was in the service area and he went to my car to get me the new tank and to put the empty tank back in my car while it was being serviced. There was a woman from the cashier and parts area and she also helped me, I am very sorry that I don't know there names but Thank You very much!!! Been A customer of Lia Toyota since 1992. After our latest purchase of a used car we were convinced to purchase an extended warrenty by a member of the sales team. Was told it would cover just about everything except items like: brakes, tires and battery. The electronic monitor for low tire inflation was not working correctly, it was indicating low tire pressure when in fact the tire pressure was correct in all tires. I called the service department to verify that this item would be covered and it took 3 days to get back to me. I was told me it was not covered. I tried to contact 4 different sales manager to to get a clarification as to why this item was not covered and did not recieve a single call back. That to me is terrible customer service. If you still aare interested in buying a car there do not purchase the extended warrenty from them because they will not back up.

I love this location, I bought my car there in 2003 new, and have only taken it there since. Every time Toyota has been fast, professional and honest with their diagnosis of my car and service. On one visit, general maintenance took longer than expected so they credited the visit. Just recently with a second maintenance visit (remember the car is 10+yrs old now), their original diagnosis did not catch all the complication since my car has a few unique parts and they weren't just listing things to unnecessary replace. They were upfront, credited the first visit, provided excellent service to quickly repair, and have always given me honest prices. I have complete piece of mind when I take my car here because they've never attempted to inflate problems, or recommend maintenance or repairs that aren't truly needed. Usually they'll tell me 1-2 years before something needs to be fixed they see it gradually wearing down, warning it me so I can take preventative steps and avoid unnecessary costs. Their managers have proven to have great customer service, and I will continue to visit them for all car needs. I highly recommend to ANY Toyota owner. They are an honest location with the right ideals in mind.

I just traded in my old car for a certified 2011 Toyota Camry SE. First and foremost, I love my new car. I got the extended warranty for only $9 per month more, and it extends my original warranty from 7 years 100,000 miles to 8 years and 125,000 miles. The Toyota brand has excellent resale value as it is, but with the transferable warranty, it's now even better. As for my experience with the dealership, it was top notch. I've bought a lot of cars in my life, and this was by far the best buying experience I've ever had. The dealership is new, clean, comfortable, and has plenty of free coffee/drinks if you happen to be there for a while. The finance manager was very friendly and other than signing paperwork, I didn't really even have to deal with him because my salesman took care of everything. That leads me to the best part, my sales guy. If you go to Lia Toyota of Colonie, ask for Kevin. I knew what I wanted and when I got there, he immediately took me out for a test drive. It wasn't your typical 30 second trip around the block. He took me out on a main drag, through some side streets, and even out onto the highway so I could get a feel for all types of driving. He was friendly and very easy to talk to. When we were done, he answered all of my questions, all the while he wasn't trying to sell me anything I didn't want. We went over the numbers and made a deal in about 5 minutes. Plus, there was a pretty bad scratch along the bumper that I said I'd like to be fixed. Kevin said he would take care of it, and without another word, it was in the shop and fixed professionally and was ready later that day. I couldn't have asked for a better buying experience, and when i'm ready to buy again, I will definitely be going back to Lia Toyota. Oh, and the car is used, but it looks and drives brand new. Everyone should at least consider Lia Toyota for their new Toyota or a used car, you won't be sorry. And ask for Kevin, he makes it enjoyable and stress free!!!!!

Salesman were unfriendly and when talking to them never invited you in there office to try to make a deal with you. Went there once in the summer and 2 weeks ago. We had 2 different sales people and got treated the same way. They had all these 2013 Ravs what we wanted to buy but to me they didn't want to sell them. I would never go back there again. Ended up buying a new Ford Escape that same day from Latham Ford. My wife wanted to kick the salesman's butt from Lia Toyota that's how bad they treat you there.

I just purchase my 1st Toyota, Rav4, what a wonderful experience with salesman, Ben Sledziewski and the entire staff. I was very please with the entire process right from the test drive, through the purchasing, through the financing, through delivery. I can't think of one thing anyone needs to improve on. Salesperson came out with the keys to the 2013 prius, and went with us for the test drive I told him I wanted to try a Prius C to see the difference between the cars. It took him about 10 minutes brought us one, and told us he had other customers, to take it out on our own. We did, and decided we would prefer either the used Pruis one or a new Prius 2, it would all depend on what I would get for my trade value on my car. He asked me what I was looking for, I told him, and he told me he would check but did not think I would get that. Came back over to us told us no on the trade value ,and walked away. His attitude changed drastically, and not for the better. Just so you know if there had been a counter trade offer, we may have purchased the car,but his attitude at the end , turned us off completely. So I went to Mohawk Honda, negotiated a deal with them and purchased a civic hybrid .

We bought our Tacoma from Lia, and thank God the truck sold itself, because the dealer did not. The salesman (Brian) was very non-chalant about the process, acting as if we were taking up his precious time. The finance department lied to us, actually including the extended warranty in our quoted monthly price, then asking if we wanted to purchase the extended warranty for "a few bucks more a month". No one returns your calls if there is an issue, and no one followed up with us after the purchase. We made the mistake of purchasing our Highlander from a different Lia dealership, thinking it was the Lia Toyota only - and all the Lia dealers were all the same mind-set. We were pressured and I ended up getting the Highlander when it wasn't my first choice. We love our Tacoma, but we are trading in the Highlander - at a different Toyota dealer - for the vehicle we really wanted - a RAV4.

The check engine light came on the Matrix car, it only has 8,000 miles on it. Brought the car to Lia Toyota of Colonie, where the car was purchased. I was told they would need to do a diagnostic test to get the code and it would cost $103.95. When they ran the code they found out that it was the gas cap wasn't on properly so they would discount it to $50.00. I asked to speak to a manager, who never came out to speak to me. The manager, Tom returned our call a few days later as we were unhappy with the amount charged. The manager Tom was mad that his employee only charged us $50.00, he said it should have only been reduced by 10% and that he would deal with him internally. Long story short, if your check engine light comes on do yourself a favor and go to Pep Boys, Auto Zone, or any auto parts store in the area, they will check the code for FREE. Not only do I have a bad taste in my mouth from this rip off, but the managers attitude really left a lot to be desired. If thinking about purchasing a car here, remember it is not just the purchase price that counts, know who and what you are dealing with.

Was sent by a friend who works higher up in the finance department for Lia with the expectations that I would be taken care of. As soon as I arrived at this dealership I was lied to and given false promises. The salesman was friendly enough but did not act professionally and made several errors. Some errors which made me have to return to the dealership to correct. The guy in the finance department made errors which I brought to his attention before leaving the dealership with my new car and I was told it was too late to correct it. I was told I would have to wait until the paperwork was processed to correct. After the paperwork was processed they agreed to correct some of their errors but refused to correct them all. This error will end up costing me more for my loan and payments. I returned several times to have these issues corrected and was told even the general manager was aware of the situation and refused to correct it. Afterwards, I spoke with my friend, and they even refuse to ever recommend anyone to Lia ever again... So take it from a long time employee from higher up in the company... Go somewhere else!

I have only used Lia Toyota for Servicing/Repairs and I've been happy with the services they provide. I like that I can reserve my appointment online with what I want done with the car, they great you as the car comes in, and in most cases, have the car ready when they say it will be ready. I also appreciate they do not condescend or talk down to me (as a woman that is VERY much appreciated!) Their facilities are impeccable and if you've got to wait for your car - one of the best waiting areas I've ever seen!

I have used Lia Toyota of Colonie for service since I bought my first Tacoma from a private owner in 2009. Since then, I have also serviced my Avalon and my most recent Tacoma (both bought through private owners). Lia's service department has been excellent and their staff friendly and knowledgeable. I have always been hesitant to do business with a dealer but my experience with Lia has been nothing but excellent. Their semi-annual oil change deals are awesome at $10! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who owns a Toyota vehicle.

At Lia I decided on the vehicle and they went out of their way to accommodate me. I had a 1:15 PM appointment for an inspection and rear windshield wiper replacement. I arrived at 1 PM. My arrival in service bay went unnoticed for a while so I got out and stood up. Then I was noticed and brought inside. Art processed my service request and asked if I was waiting and I replied yes I would wait in waiting area. I read a newspaper and after about an hour I wondered what was taking so long. I noticed there was a steady stream of cars coming in. Later I noticed a monitor with what appeared to be progress of cars being serviced and my name never was displayed. After waiting about two hours I went to ask Art for progress report. He looked on his PC calling up my name. Then went looking for my card. He went to cashier and rifled through papers. Then he repeated everything. I pointed out my car in bay. Finally he said there was some confusion and another customer had paid my bill. He went looking to see if customer had left. Then he called customer and explained mixup. All the while I am waiting while he could have just had me pay my bill and leave. Then again looking through papers at cashier. Finally I was brought to cashier where I paid.

Went to do routine maintenance. This was my first time here because I had just moved to NY. My new boss recommended this location to me because it's large and organized, unlike the other Toyota dealers in the area. I did go to another Toyota later and he was right, the Lia dealership was bigger, shiner, with a higher amount of traffic, but very organized. They kept my appointment, they were efficient, and everything went fine.

Lia Toyota's current management has proven that they are nothing short of crooks. The deal I was sold when I bought my 2011 Tundra Platinum was 5 free services over the next 25,000 miles that I put on my truck. That was 11 months ago. Today, Michael in the service department explained to me that he did what he could, but the new sales manager Andy Rainone refused to honor the last 2 free services that I PAID FOR with the purchase of my Tundra. This is inexcusable, and completely changes the face of Lia Toyota since Greg was the sales manager. This is an edit to my original post which can be seen below. In my original review, I explained how outstanding it was to deal with Lia Toyota, but since my original review I was forced to edit this review, and give a POOR rating. Adam Santiago, William Morse, and Greg, the sales manager have all left Lia, and I feel that the integrity of the business has suffered since then.--SEE ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW--Couldn't have asked for more from these guys. Everybody, from start to finish was not only good, but was actually impressive, and they still are today. I literally just left there an hour ago, for routine service. A few months ago Adam Santiago worked a great deal on a Tundra that I didn't even realize was available, and made everything extremely easy, with no pressure to buy, just a deal that NOBODY could pass up. Now, I usually can't stand talking to finance guys, but Jack Izzo was awesome. Easy to understand, up front, and 100% honest. And William Morse is the guy to see about service, no hassle, and doesn't have you standing around, and gets you what you need. Do yourself a favor and stop in to see these guys.

Before the new overhaul I had no issues with Lia. However, since they got the new showroom service and quality has really gone down. The service representative, Steve, was rude, condescending and patronizing. I've owned my Toyota for four years, I'm very well aware on how it works and doesn't work. Obviously I wouldn't know what exactly to ask for if I didn't. It feels apparent that since I'm a woman I'm automatically classified as the less knowledgeable about my car. Which is not only insulting, it's very, very rude. The only reason I will go to Lia anymore is for necessity. If it's not necessary to fix my car I will not step foot in that building. It's not a pleasant experience at all.

They told me that the motor in my sliding door "FAILED" and needed to be replaced and would cost $1750.00. When I came home I got my sliding door to work ALL BY MYSELF and it is still working, which means that the motor could not have "failed" as they described it. Moreover, they drained my battery while my van was in their shop and now I have to spend another $100 plus labor to replace my battery. They refuse to take responsibility for this or to accept that they misdiagnozed the problem in my van. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THEIR SERVICE SHOP AGAIN !!!!!!!I think what their doing can be described as plain FRAUD.

I had dealt with a great salesman by the name of Dave Vickers. Drove 4 hours to buy a "TOY" 2011 Rubicon. The inept and unprofessional F & I guy named JACK literally locked my paperwork in his office for over an hour AFTER my loan approval. Leaving both the salesman and myself in limbo. I would have walked out but stayed to have the opportunity to tell Jack why he lost the sale.

Told me tranny was almost empty, funny because I checked level before leaving car. Had to tell them the ECM was a recall and that was the problem. Took them all day to replace a part that the book says should take 1 hour. New part had the same part number as the old one? I will be buying Honda from now on. Lia Toyaota in Colonie has the worst mechanics and service reps in the world, don't go there.

I sent an inquiry regarding a new Sienna to Lia'a website. I received a call from Scott Risley in a timely manner. I told Scott I would be in Saturday, March 17, 2012. When I arrived Scott met me and handed me off to salesman Frank Krein. Frank took us for a test drive and we settled on the Sienna XLE. The price range Scott gave me over the phone was mid to upper $32,000. This sounded very good to me. I informed Frank that I would be trading in my 2005 Lincoln Town Car. He took the keys and I assume someone looked at the car. After around an hour of talking and looking Frank introduced me to Greg Byer, General Manager. Greg asked if I was ready to buy. I said this was our first stop and I would be looking at a Ford Explorer and the Honda Odyssey. At that point Greg said stop back when you decide that the Sienna is the vehicle you want. I was not given a trade-in value for my car. At that point I felt like I was given the bums rush. We stopped at Toyota first because it was the vehicle we really wanted. If we could have struck a deal I would have signed that day. We then went to Rensslaer Honda and bought a new Odyssy. I picked it up on Monday 3/19/2012. The Honda people were great.

I bought my last two cars from Lia and could not ask for better service. Unfortunately my car was re-ended in an auto accident and I had to have the bumpers replaced, etc. The service that I received from the very beginning was outstanding. When I picked up my vehicle - it looked like new. Thanks Lia for both great workmanship and for Great sales people who went the full mile and more for me. No doubts where my next car will come from and no doubt who will be servicing it.-

We went to Lia to look at a 2011 Prius. We did not know a lot about the hybrids and had never driven one before. We took the car for a test drive and liked it. On returning from our test drive Brent asked us if we had any intention of buying a car that day. We told him no (Lia was the first dealer we had been to and we wanted more time to think about it). Brent replied that he had another customer so if we were not going to buy that day that he could not spend anymore time with us. We did not appreciate being blown off because we would not rush into a sale. The next day we went to another dealer, received excellent service and bought a new Prius.

I purchased a used corolla that had extensive paint issues. Now I know I purchased a USED car but the paint was horrible . Mr Beyer the general manager introduced me to Dan Wheeler the body shop manager . Mr. Wheeler seemed a bit taken back at the task at hand. After looking the car over top to bottom Mr. Wheeler checked with the lovely lady in the rental dept. to see if they had a loaner car available and they did . Mr Wheeler had her assign me the car which was the twin to mine.(less the paint issues) . He simply said we will take care of this. Four hours later he called and asked me to come take a look. When I showed up Mr Wheeler had it parked in front of lia's very nice body shop .My car looked new Mr Wheeler went above and beyond he and his fabulous crew should commended. I strongly recommend anyone to this place. Top notch service at a top notch facility!

He said to drop it off and he would check it out i was called the next day and was told it was all set come and get it . Excellent service!! I am the owner of a 2011 Toyota Rav4. I purchased this vehicle at the competitions dealership. I was involved in a fender bender the day that I dropped my vehicle off. I was at my selling dealer who informed me that he couldnt get my car in for a week. I have heard of the Lia Collision Center from a television commercial. Mr Wheeler came out and saw me looking at my car and asked me what happened. I explained and without hesitation he assured me that it was only cosmetic and it was actually quite a basic repair. He loaned me one of his loaner cars and my insurance company came the next day to estimate the repairs. My car was fully repaired within three days! When I came to pick up the car I couldnt believe it but it was fully detailed and looked better than new. Mr. Wheeler went over the repairs with me and made me feel much better. I felt as though I left the Lia Collision Center with a new vehicle. Great job! I will be buying all of my cars from Lia Toyota in the future and will be using their service department as well thanks to Mr Wheeler.

Typical buying experience,Salesman did the soft sell and the closer did the hard sell, I never buy extended warranties but in light of previous 4x4 truck ownership experience I was confident this was a reasonable gamble to take for $1400. Price was fair on the truck. They low balled me on the trade but came back up to blue book when I began walking out. Pretty much the same as every dealership I have ever been in. I would buy from them again

I had a loose heat shield on my 06 Corolla that needed to be fixed. Lia ordered the necessary part and scheduled me for a repair appointment. When I showed up for the appointment I waited for an hour and a half before they told me that they didn't have the part yet and it wouldn't be in FOR A MONTH. The service rep then proceeded to tell me that I shouldn't have come in without having checked that they had the part, even though they had assured me the part would be in when I scheduled the appointment. Only grudgingly apologized when I demanded it. Totally incompetent and rude. Avoid at all costs.

Signed papers for a car not yet prepared for sale. Lots of fine scratches on the trunk and both sides; were assured they could be buffed out. Picked up car when they asked us to, and the scratches had not been taken care of. Very poor advertisement for the company. I'd be ashamed to let a car go off a lot like it did. Now I wonder if the oil was changed, if the pre-certified inspection was thorougly carried out. The car was vacuumed and washed. Simonized? I don't know. I have called Greg Beyer twice about the issue, and he has not given me the courtesy of a call back.We were ushered into an office to work out finances. Instead we got a sales pitch for buying "insurance" against any repairs needed in the next seven years. This was a hussle, and we didn't expect it or appreciate it.

The worst experience I have ever had. The salesman was fine at first but the financial guy Aaron was terrible. Long story short I was origianlly going to lease and then decided to finance. We had already been at the dealership for 5 hours so we had planned on meeting a few days later to go over some things. I made a phone call with a few questions and my call was never returned. When I called back again and got through I could not get a straight answer form him on purchase price, interest rate etc... He kept telling me "don't worry about it" and even told me he thought I was "over thinking the process". I never signed a purchase agreement and when I realized I was not comfortable in making this deal I called to tell them and I was actually hung up on by the sales man. I went in for my deposit the following day and was informed that "although I am not happy about not making the deal, we already had your insurance changed and I would hate to see you driving uninsured." Gee thanks I finally got my deposit back but I will NEVER go back or recommend anyone to LIA.

Went in at 7:55am for the 5000 mile Toyota Care complementary service and was all set at 9am. There were like 15+ cars in front of me, but their 24 bay service area was pleasantly efficient and kept their promise of finishing the job in an hour! Also, the service advisor Jodi was very friendly, and the whole show room and service waiting area is nice, clean, and spacious.

I bought a new Tacoma from this dealership and worked with Phil Armstrong. When I took delivery, I noticed there was a plastic film covering both headlights. I asked Phil about it and he said not to worry, that was normal and would wear off over time. I got the truck home and noticed that one of the fog lights was not working. I looked under the truck and saw that the lamp was dangling by the wires (it was no longer plugged into the fixture). I also noticed there was some damage to the mounting holes for the plastic bumper cover and some of the clips that hold it on were missing. I contacted Phil and he said to bring the truck in so they could look at it. He also promised to reimburse me for my gas since I live 100 miles away from the dealership. I set up an appointment (through Phil) to get the truck looked at and then emailed him the day before the appointment to confirm. When I got to the dealership, the service department said that I did not have an appointment, but that they would fit me in. Three and a half hours later, my truck was ready. The film on the headlights would not come off, so they had to special order new headlight assemblies (which meant another 200 mile round trip to the dealer). They did fix the fog light and attached the missing clips for the bumper cover. Billy Morse in the service department was extremely helpful. When I asked Phil about the gas money he promised me, he went back on his word and said they don't do that anymore. He then gave me $20 because he felt bad (the round trip was $50). I also noticed a scratch in one of the doors and mentioned it to them. Billy from the service department tried to get it buffed out, but it was under the clearcoat, so it would not come out. When he asked Phil what they should do about it, Phil said "too bad, the customer already took delivery of the truck". It is nice to know that once you sign the papers and drive off the lot, this is how you get treated. I sent 2 emails to the general manager of the dealership, but never got a reply from either of them. I went to this dealership because they offered the best price, but sometimes you end up getting what you pay for.

I orginally bought my car from Lia and recently had it serviced there after a bad experience somewhere else. The staff at Lia were wonderful, the customer service and experience of the staff was great too! I was treated fairly, with respect and my car was done earlier then promised! I will not trust my car anywhere else from now on. I do Quality Control for a large insurance company and evaluate Customer service and customer satisfaction so I am "grading" people all day on their level of customer service, the staff at Lia was fantastic!Allison Silver

I think this dealership is fantastic! I've been going there for about 6 years and Ive never had an unpleasent experiance! I love how I always get reminders for when its time to bring my car in at my age it is extreamly importaint! Both Mark & Morgan were extreamly helpful & pleasent, they both made sure I was up to date to the status of my vehicle the whole time & made sure I was able to get every discount I was entitled to. I did buy my vehilce from northway toyota (sadly) but luckly after my disgusting experiance there it was made clear that I never should return back! But if it hadnt been for that Im sure I would have stayed at northway because it is alittle closer to my house but then I would be missing out on the pleasure of dealing with lia. So thanks northway! :-) I do reccomend everyone to give Lia a try I can promise you will have an excellent experiance!

Went to two other dealers in the area looking to trade my 2007 Prius for a 2010 Prius. I was not satisfied with the price they offered me for my vehicle, so I decided to try LIA in Colonie. I spoke with salesman Phil, he was nothing but courteous and then I met Sales Manager Toby who was also very courteous and he gave me an offer that beat the others considerably. Needless to say I ended up buying a new 2010 Prius and every step of the way Phil and Toby treated my wife and I in a very courteous and professional manner. The operation of this business is beyond everything and I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. If you do go, ask for Phil you won't be sorry.

This was my first time purchasing a new car so the whole situation was already stressful. After finding the car I wanted, it seemed that everything was going well. Almost 2 weeks after I have picked up the car and I have had all sorts of headaches that should've been handled by the dealership. No antennae was placed on the car, it left the lot with dents that apparently can only be fixed on Wednesdays WITHOUT an apppoinment, insurance dates were messed up and have to re-sign paperwork (45 minute drive for this), and information that was previously faxed over wasn't viewed until 2 days after (only to find out that new information needed to be faxed). I found this place to be extremly unprofessional and unorganized, and frankly would like to stay away from the service department in the future.

Had an absolute horrible experience here. The manager was argumentitive and very condescending. While in discussion with salesperson, Toby came over and talked down to my wife and myself. He inferred we didn't know what we were talking about and told us to try and match his deal somewhere else. While he was doing this, another manager, Joe I think, well anyway he was pretty fat and just sat there eating his lunch while laughing. We took this "dynamic duo" of managers up on their challenge to shop the deal and not only did we match it, we beat it by 350 dollars. Whatever Lia family member owns this horribly run dealership....great job on your choice of managers to run the place. What a great building, too bad its run by a couple of idiots. We will never return there for anything ever!!

Granted they give you a good price at LIA but that is the only thing they have to offer. After signing a purchase agreement with them and giving them a $200.00 deposit I quickly canceled. My sales person did not return one of my phone calls and for that matter, no one there returned my calls. I only received a call from the LIA sales manager when, I left my salesperson a voice mail stating it was my legal right to cancel the contract and receive my deposit back. I will never set foot in a LIA showroom again. The few dollars a month that you are going to save is not worth the hassle trust me. It was like pulling death trying to get that same sales manager to credit the $200.00 back. My advice STEAR CLEAR of this place.

Be very careful in the service end of this place. Looks can be deceiving. The showroom and waiting areas are immaculate, but there is a seedy aspect to what goes on behind the scenes. They are constantly hustling for bogus and unnecessary repairs and they overcharge on simple diagnostics. I've gone here several times because it's convenient, but I've always regretted it. I've bought my cars at another Toyota Dealer a few miles away, simply because I don't trust the service people at Lia and don't want to take any chances with their sales department.

Purchased a certified pre-owned Prius. It is currently in the shop and they have found this car was in a previous accident. CarFax did not pick up on it and per the certified pre-owned program, and exhaustive check of the body intregity is conducted. Currently working with Toyota HQ and Lia Toyota with the option of legal services being explored.

We had a horrible experience last 10-16 night. We purchased a highlander the presure and pushing to pick it up was unreal. They didn't let us test drive it we had drived a highlander with all the bells and whistles and this car we purchased had been sitting in the showroom for 194 days. We finally asked that we test drove it and the car hesitated between 30 and 40 and the headlights had mostiure in both of them. I didnt want the car after that and the salesman turned beligerant and nasty and bascially called us a liar and we asked for our $2,000 deposit back and then to speak to the MGR at which point he stormed into the room and announced to everyone in the showroom that this guy is being an ASS and wants to talk to you at which point the MGR turned his back to us and watched his tv and never came out we left after 5 minutes. I wouldn't recommend this dealearship at all

Stopped and explored the 2009 Yaris and 2009 Corolla I couldn't believe the unprofessional attitude they looked at my trade gave montly figures for both cars they would not disclose my trade allowence and interest rate on the loan. I requested Paul provide this info he told me the manager was too busy. Obviously I walked away never to return and purchased my car elsewhere. I will never assoicate myself with any Lia Dealership in the future.

We are purchasing a car - looking at a Toyota Corolla. We were quoted a price by a salesman (Phil) - along with a trade in price. He never returned our calls after a day or so. We sent an e-mail to the dealership, and then dealt with Bill Boland. He PROMISED this would all be taken care of, and Phil would call us right back. He NEVER did. Bill wanted to make it right, and told us he would call us back with a new offer. He did call back, told us the original offer stood, but he could not guarantee the price offered on the trade in. I would RUN AWAY from this dealer as fast as possible. What a waste of my time-- I am SO glad I did not waste my money here - especially after reading some of the reviews. It sounds like the old bait and switch technique. If this is the way they treat people in a sale, I would hate to think what would happen if we ever needed service. We live over an hour away -- I would rather pay more for a car, and deal with honest people. I have such a bad feeling about this dealership -- BE CAREFUL.

I froze my ass off waiting outside looking for a tundra truck.went inside and walked around for about 15 minutes and was greeted by noone.I Called from my minivan and waited another 10 minutes before some grungy looking older gentleman came to meet me with leftover food on his grungy old sweater(no tie) no how are you? handshake, or introduction of whatever his name was .. only a lasting impression that i would rather drive my old minivan into the earth before I EVER would buy any thing from this dealership AGAIN!!!!!!!

I have 2001 Sequoia and my AC problem started at the rear unit. I have limited model and it has 2 separate AC control unit with single compressor and single loop. My rear unit was blowing hot air and my front unit took a while to blow cold air. The dealer told me that I need to replace my rear AC unit. ($2500) I took the car back and decided to just live with front AC only. Few days later, the front unit stop working and I had AC light blinking this time. I took the car back to dealer and they told me the front AC unit (compressor, evaporate, condenser, AC lines) has to be replaced. $3700 I asked about rear unit, but they told me the metal debrie in the front unit was clogging Freon line and this may be why rear unit was not working. My problem seems exactly like the compressor problem described on some of the Sequoia forum. What can we do about this. Nothing.. I am looking at $3700 and I may need to replace rear unit also. I need to spend $3700 + $2500 to get my AC fixed. I went to pick up my car and they told me that I have to pay $89 for diagonose fee. If engine stops and tell the customer that engine need to be replaced. Do I need to pay for the diagonose fee? This is joke. This will be my last Toyota and last trip to this dealer. I recently pursued buying a new car at Lia Toyota. I found this dealership to be unprofessional and so I would not recommend it to anyone. The Sales Manager and GM went back on their word after they had agreed on a deal and paperwork was signed. They made a mistake on their calculations and would not honor the original agreement. I spoke to the Customer Relations rep., Kathy Brammer, and she took my complaint and promised that she would give it to the GM and that he would call me. I never heard from anyone.

I bought a car with my mother, who was also buying a car, in August of '06. Since getting the car, I discovered a few things wrong with it, like the rear defrost not doing much of anything. I've now returned it about 5 times for the same problems, and am just now getting the stuff actually fixed. Also I discovered that the title, which is supposed to be in my name is in fact in my mothers. They discovered that the problem came because the finance manager screwed up, but they are leaving the cost of fixing their mistake to me. I will NEVER buy a car from them again! And I suggest that all potential buyers find another dealer.

Dave was quick to respond to my interest expressed online, however I cannot say the same for the rest of the dealership. My voicemails went unreturned, when I would call I was always put on hold for a long time and was told once "we're busy unloading 28 cars." This is really annoying especially considering I had already placed a $500 security deposit on a car that nobody was ever able to talk to me about. The same car that I was told would be in to the dealer in a week MAYBE two...turns out that really means 4 weeks. If you enjoy being lied to and ignored I suggest this dealer, otherwise I would take your business elsewhere.

This was a great experience. When I left an internet inquiry, Dave called me within 15 minutes on a Saturday! He was very firendly and helpful. I had to drive two and a half hours to get to the dealership and so had to trust Dave's responses. It was well worth the drive. Marty was very friendly and had to deal with two of us at the same time on a Sunday (yes, they're open on Sundays!). We both got the car we needed and he gave us very fair deals on prices and trade-in. I wouold highly recommend this dealership, and make sure to work with Marty.

Lia Toyota offered me must less for my trade in and higher price on the new Toyota Highlander I was shopping for. It was a long, drawn out negotiation with the salesman leaving for long periods to talk to sales manager. They acted like they were doing me a huge favor for accepting a trade in. Went to Northway Toyota and the beat Lia Toyota by $2500, better on the trade in price, better on the new Highlander price. Friendly service dept too. Go to Northway Toyota for a price too.
