I do not normally write reviews on any business, but I was so overly impressed with the customer service and honesty that Low Country Motors provided to my family and me. I dealt with Mike and Shane Cody Kama as well as Kyle and all three had exceptional levels of integrity confident knowledge and professionalism. I can honestly recommend Low Country Motors to anyone that I come in contact with and would feel good about the outcome. Mike and Shane Cody, along with Kyle Kantz, are the real deal and I cannot recommend this dealership highly enough. I have purchased three cars from them in my 12 Years of Living on Hilton Head and have traded two cars into them and have received a very good rate for my used car that I turned in. I do not think I could have gotten a better deal or a better customer service anywhere else in the entire Southeast region. Thank you!

Shane Cody was the sales representative that assisted Ron Rummel. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful! After going to several other dealerships this was amazing no big shot, no pressure, did not have to talk to 3 or 4 different sales representatives, just simple down to earth people! Ron actually enjoyed purchasing his truck. While we were there we saw other customers and how they were treated, Excellent service was provided to everyone. The conversation between customers at the Low Country Motors was it is the best place to do business! There wonderful people and will take care of you. I would highly recommend Low Country Motors. My suggestion is go there first and save yourself some time and money, I know the next time we will!

Went to a few name dealerships and had to go through the pain of sitting down for a chatting (really them trying to get my financing, personal info etc), this was followed up by follow up phone calls, trying to get me into a car I was not interested in. After a few visits to these places, I thought about giving up driving. I saw that LCM won Best of Bluffton and tried them and am now a customer for life. It took me 45 minutes before I got into a car at the big dealerships. I was test driving a LCM vehicle 5 minutes after I arrived. Shane was great and patient. They are great.

This is a very low-pressure dealership with knowledgeable staff. We dealt directly with Mike Cody and he hand picks the cars that go in the lot. My husband returned the day after our test drive and traded in our old vehicle. Our new vehicle was clean inside and out, fueled up, and they even changed the oil before we left the lot. I highly recommend this dealer!

I'm a 75 year old man who has bought close to a hundred automobiles for my wife and 4 daughters over the past 55 years. I have to say that my latest car purchase at Low Country Motors on July 27, 2016 was without a doubt the easiest, most pleasant and very satisfying experience I've had in an auto dealership. I did my homework on the value of the 2015 Yukon I wanted to purchase as well on the 2013 Tahoe I was trading in. I had firmly in my mind the amount of the check I was willing to write to close the deal. We didn't haggle about the price of the Yukon which BTW was a spotless SLE model with only 15,800 miles. And we didn't haggle about value of my Tahoe SL with 64,300 miles in very good to excellent condition. I simply asked to be given the amount of cash needed to close the deal. That number was to included everything: tags, taxes, registration fees, DOC Fees and all the other BS dealers trow at you. To my amazement when the salesman told me the number, it was well below the number I thought I was going to have to fight to get . I smiled, said we've got a deal and shook the sales man's hand. I drove the car home and a day later noticed a minor problem. I took the car back in and was given a loaner car for a day while the minor repair was made

I was stranded in sc on vacation as mt transmission went out in va. I needed a safe reliable car to get home and told them my situation. The next day they called me back asking if i still wanted to come in. When I did they treated my kindly and didnt try to rip me off like ive felt in the past. They knew what I could afford and only showed cars in my price range and got my payment down $250 from what i was previously paying.

This is probably the most honest, professional dealership we have ever dealt with. Not only did they treat us with the upmost respect and courtesy, but they really bent over backwards to help us. I found a CRV that I wanted on Car Gurus and available at Low Country Motors. It was listed as one of their "great deals!" Shane quickly returned the after hours message I left (which was on a holiday). He held if for me and I drove down the next day. I had a pre approved loan and he didn't try to push other financing on me (which another dealer had done the day before). I was in and out in less than 90 min! Highly recommend them and will purchase my next car through them, unless I order directly from Tesla :)

I abhor car shopping! When the alternator and battery in my 2000 Nissan with 150K miles died in the middle of the road, leaving me stranded, I finally agreed with my husband that it might be time to get into a different vehicle. While I was waiting on the tow truck, my husband sent me a link to a Toyota Prius from Lowcountry Motors. Begrudgingly, I agreed to look at it. Within an hour we had test driven the car, seen the car fax, gotten to the bottom line and made a deal. Did I mention that I hate car shopping? Within the week, I was driving my Toyota Prius. I feel like we got a great deal; we definitely received fabulous service, and it was painless (with the exception of paying, of course:) Without a doubt, when it comes time to replace the other car, we will be returning to Lowcountry Motors.

My wife and I have been looking for a convertible for the beach. We located what we wanted and called them to see if it was still available. It was and Shane was very helpful in answering our questions and we decided it was worth the trip to see the car (we're a 4 hr. ride from the other end of the state) . Shane gave us directions and the next day we made the trip. Once we got there it was the best experience we have ever had buying a car. The experience could have been bad since we had planned to tow the car back home but we couldn't get a rental trail or due to the weight of the car and the towing rating of my vehicle. Shane researched transport services for us and found us a very reasonable rate. We left the car there and when the transport service picked it up Shane sent us a text with the name of the driver and a picture of our car on the truck. It was delivered the next day! I would recommend Low Country Motors to anyone .

Everybody was great and they even have a angel that does the title work. she floats in, handles some paperwork and Bamm! It's finished. I called Mike and told him what I wanted. He had the perfect car 2 days later at a good price and gave me more than twice what the Lexus dealer offered me for my car. The best part was he took care of everything, registration, transferring plates, car loan and making sure we had insurance and insurance cards before we left. All done in under 1 hour! We'll be getting our next car from him as well!

My wife wanted a used Bmw convertible. Looked all over and could not find exactly what we wanted. Especialy condition wise for the price. We went to Low Country Motors after looking at a different car that was a total let down. Saw that Blue Bmw and my wife was in love. I knew she had to have it so thae car did sell itself, The thing that stood out to me about the dealership is (Mike) was very knowledgeable and very laid pack. None of that pressuring annoying type sales approaches that totally get on my nerves. The whole staff was friendly and polite. The truth is if you sell quality higher end products they should sell themselves. Being located in Hilton Head I believe they get their inventiory off of more wealthy clients whom take care of their vehicles a lot better. Very happy. Check these guys out.

We found the perfect car for our needs at the dealership. When we came in we found the car we wanted to be in showroom condition inside and out. We needed the dealer (Mike Cody) to solve a problem we had, which he did without sweat or strain. We left without signing on the dotted line, asking the Mike to hold the car until the following Monday (we were in on Saturday). He did so with a handshake. When we returned, Kyle Kantz took great care of us in Mike's absence and the car was delivered in perfect condition. We've had it for a few days and couldn't be happier.

I searched the web for a used Mini convertible to buy once we arrived in SC. LCM had the perfect car; low mileage, and the color scheme that my wife loved. Not wanting to risk losing the car to another buyer before we arrived, I bought it over the phone, sight unseen.We picked the car up 3 days later and it was exactly what they had promised. I started my in September for vehicle because the end of my lease was approaching. My leased vehicle came from a chain dealership. Although it was a reliable car, I was never happy with the deal! I vowed that that dealership (with all the double talk & shenanigans) would never get my business again!My daughter found the perfect vehicle on LCM website. I stopped by one evening after work just for a closer look. After less than 30 discussion with Kyle Kantz and Mike Cody, I had basically made up my mind. But because I wasn't used to the straight talk, I thought I'd send my husband out the next day because it couldnt be that easy. My son was in an accident and as a result he was fine but his car was totaled. This put us in an unplanned situation. With a game plan we visited several dealerships in a 30 mile radius with Low Country Motors being our final stop on the way home. Shane greeted us before we even reached the door. He was welcoming and hospitable from the get go. I, not wanting to be looking for a car at all, immediately stated exactly what we were looking for and our 3 must haves. Shane took us around the lot educating us on select models he felt would fit the bill. We found exactly what we were looking for and MORE! Now we needed to get the money right and guess what? First and foremost, the team at LCM is buyer-oriented. I walked around and looked at some fun cars, and looked at some more expensive cars, but in the end they focused on my needs as a driver, and put me in the perfect car. Ultimately I bought a less expensive car that was more practical for my daily and recreational needs. It is clear to me that their main concern is driver satisfaction - and they understand drivers.Secondly, they are friendly, fun and easy to deal with. The car buying process isn't intimidating, there's no pressure, and closing was incredibly simple - they even updated my insurance over the phone with my State Farm agent.Bottom line is this - if you're in the market for a car keep your eye on this dealership and their inventory. They will get the car for you, at the good price, and with great customer service.

We began our love affair with Low Country Motors when my son and I purchased his first car there. Mike Cody treated him (age 19) like a preferred customer from the outset, patiently showing him every car he liked. My son decided on a great Audi - very clean, one-owner, and a great value. Recently, I purchased my third car in four years from Mike. Two of those were absolute necessity, after the previous vehicles were totaled in wrecks. Mike took great care of me (in my frazzled state of mind!). He allowed me to test drive a couple of vehicles for a few days, coaching me on the difference in value of each one, and pointing out various benefits that I hadn't noticed. I felt like he really wanted me to have the best car, the best deal and the best long-term value for ME. All three times, Kyle handled the paperwork, insurance and registration, which was quick and easy. When I had a fender bender a few weeks after one purchase, Shane ordered a new taillight, called me two days later when it was delivered, and installed it while I waited. I can't sing their praises enough. Mike's cars are always clean, solid and fairly priced (I know, because I did my research!). If a car has a minor issue, he tells you up front. I recommend Low Country Motors even to people who aren't in the market for a new used vehicle! We're going to need one more vehicle in the next year, and I won't even consider going anywhere else to buy it.

I drove all the way here from Atlanta for a car I was able to find online. Called and left a message over the weekend and got a call back from Shane first thing Monday morning. Told him I was very interested but that I wouldn't be able to make it down until the end of the week. He was very quick to answer any questions, and was very up front about the car and any issues it might have so that there weren't any surprises once I was able to make it there. I got there on a Friday afternoon, was allowed to take the car to get it checked out even though I knew pretty much everything upfront. Got back to the dealership and signed the paperwork and drove it away. Living in Atlanta, going to a used car dealer is never more than a terrible experience. This was the exact opposite, it was an absolute pleasure doing business with Shane and the rest of Low Country Motors and I would have absolutely no reservation about making the five hour drive from Atlanta knowing full well what I'd be getting once I got there. Couldn't be happier, keep up the good work!!!

I just bought a beautiful 2012 Nissan Murando from LowCountry Motors, my second car from this great place. Mike Cody, the owner, looked for 3 months to find exactly what I wanted. I am thrilled with the car. Only 13,000miles! Not only did he give a great price on my new car but gave me an excellent trade in on the car I bought from him two years ago. I have purched five cars from Low Country Motors and would not think of buying a car from anyone else. I just purchased a used Elantra and am excited to have such a great car. I have dealt with them for almost 20 years and consider them honest friends more than just trying to sell me a car. "I am am old skeptic. I had heard about the online buying experience but this was my first time.. I had been searching for the "perfect " car for my wife for three weeks. I found nothing perfect until I stumbled on the Low Country Motors website. I saw the 2006 CLS500 Mercedes & it was just what I had been searching for "THE PERFECT VEHICLE". It had an outstanding CarFax & enough pictures to view the vehicle as if I was there in person. I e-mailed for information and received a very timely response fron Shane Cody including a CarFax. We then confirmed our intentions by telephone & set up an appointment for the following day. We drove from SW Georgia to Hilton Head the next day. (Long trip but well worth it) Again, I was still skeptical even in view of the excellent and informative telephone conversation that Shane & I had.. Upon our arrival at the dealership we were welcomed by Shane. He had the car sitting out front all "Spice & Span" & ready to go.. We had a long question & answer session concerning the vehicle & all my skepticism disappeared. After my little "beater" car died unexpectedly and a with a very hectic daily schedule, I found myself needing new wheels with very little time to shop. My first "look" was at Low Country Motors. I had about 15 minutes to glance. I was greeted by Shane who listened carefully to me and pointed out some great choices. I was very impressed with Shane's knowledge of the vehicles and his calm and friendly approach. After taking a few days to look online, visit other car lots and even test driving with another dealership . . my gut told me to go back to Low Country. I was very interested in one particular SUV that Shane had shown me. We took it for a drive and I loved absolutely everything about it . . yet felt like I owed it to myself to try a couple of different models which Shane just happened to also have on his lot. He offered to let me take those out as well and off we went. By the end, I knew exactly the right car for me! With careful consideration to my budget and satisfaction, Shane helped me get into the perfect car for me at the right price! I was surprised at how easy and quick he made it for me once I made my decision to buy it. He beat out my bank and other dealers by far. The whole time, I felt that I was in complete control of my buying experience. I appreciated that fact that Shane took his time with me . . I never once felt pressured or pushed . . on the contrary . . I drove away in my new car that day knowing that I made the perfect choice and thrilled with the deal that I got! I've listened to their ads for years . . and now I know by personal experience . . they deliver exactly what they say! I can't write this review without also mentioning another observation I had while at Low Country Motors . . I was extremely touched by the fact that they had a small family of feral cats living at the car lot that would have otherwise been homeless. They were mellow, fat and happy. For someone like myself who has spent her life advocating for animals . . this speaks volumes about the character of the folks who work there! A pleasure all the way around! I would recommend them again and again! I love my car and so happy with the deal I got!!!

I went to many dealerships in the area looking for the best used car for my 3 children and I. I am a first time buyer and had a horrible experience at all other dealers. After them not listening to anything I said and hassling me to buy a crappy car or give me very high payments for any car I liked I was ready to just give up!! Thankfully I came across low country motors!!! Where I met Shane Cody he was very friendly and he actually listened to what I was looking for and able to pay! He showed me a very beautiful Nissan Altima that I could afford and it looked brand new!!!! I loved it! It was perfect for my family and exactly what I was looking for!!! He really made buying my first car feel exciting and easy! No hassling me into something I didn't really want!!! The customer service here is awesome! The cars on their lot are in great shape and the prices are hard to beat. I came wanting to look at a car and ended up leaving in it due to the atmosphere and price. Purchasing a car is a big deal. I reached out to Shane at Low Country Motors to help me find the perfect car. I gave him a quirky list of "must haves" - year, desired mileage, a color they only made in select years, must have tinted windows on only the back windows, etc.Shane Cody was phenomenal to work with. He kept me informed during the entire process of him searching for my dream car. He was honest with his feedback on vehicles he found. I received videos and pictures - plus his expert advice on other things I should also look for in the car. He went above and beyond and found exactly everything I wanted in my car. We did our due diligence and researched the vehicles on line that met our requirements. After narrowing it down to two make/models I began searching for availability within 50 miles of home. Purchased vehicle 11/14I was told vehicle was mechanically sound, inspected by 2 mechanics. 1st problem-timing chain & tensioners $18002nd problem-a/c compressor, motor mounts, oil leak $22003rd problem-radiator replacement $4004th problem-paint detail, really bad swirl marks all over vehicle. All this happened before my 1st payment! And they still have not sent the title! Terrible

I found Low Country Motors after an exhausting two months of daily searching in three states and several dozen test drives. Other dealerships were either deceptive or outright liars, and most private parties were trying to sell their (very) used cars well above market value. The only viable vehicle options I found that were clean, didn't have shady sellers and were priced within market value, sold when I was on my way to see them - all three with appointments arranged, and all several hours away. Needless to say, I was demoralized and ready to give up. Enter Low Country Motors. I saw the perfect car advertised from them on AutoTrader, and called the dealer immediately. Shane Cody answered and told me all about the car. He told me the good and bad, as well as way more information than the CarFax would have ever shown. He also said he was taking the car to a master mechanic to look at, as it was almost due for an oil change, and he would let me know what other issues with the car the mechanic finds, if any. As promised, Shane called with the mechanic's full report and said if I was still interested in the car, he would discount accordingly. After doing some additional research on repair costs and comparing them to the vehicle's market value, I made an offer to purchase the car. Shane consulted with the owner of the dealership, and they were able to come down to a fair amount as well as fix a safety issue at no cost to me. This was the fourth car I have bought, and was the most positive and encouraging car buying experience I have ever had. Shane and his team at Low Country Motors now have a customer for life. In summary, they were friendly, honest, open and fair - unfortunate rarities in the car buying world.

Just got home with my "new to me" 2011 mazda 3 hatchback. Everyone was very friendly and easy to work with. It's a smaller family owned lot. Very nice cars, even the used ones are well kept. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone looking to buy new or used vehicles.

I went to Low Country Motors first when I was looking to trade my car in with the attitude that they would be only the first of many visits to car dealerships in search of a used vehicle. I was pleasantly surprised how many cars they had that were low mileage and in excellent condition. I found the the car quickly, that more than met my specifications at a reasonable price and they gave me what I expected for the car I was trading in. I normally hate the high pressure techniques used when shopping for a car but they worked with me with no high pressure tactics and I drove away very happy with my purchase and never regretted visiting another dealership. The lot is filled with quality vehicles. My choice was a 2012 Lexus ES350 with 16,500 miles. The sales staff worked with me in a very straightforward and honest manner. In my estimation the "deal" was a win-win transaction. Kyle made the paperwork a breeze. However, what impressed me the most was Shane's follow-up after the sale. The vehicle came to LCM with only one key fob. Key fobs are not inexpensive. Shane went more than an extra mile to secure a second fob at no additional expense. Forget all the cliches about used car salesmen. These guys are good.

This is the second car I have purchased from Low Country Motors. I had bought a Mazda3 Sedan from them approximately a year ago and had a fantastic experience with that purchase. When I saw this new Mazda3 hatchback on the lot, I immediately knew I had to have that car. I took my Mazda3 Sedan into Low Country Motors where Shane and I had a chat about the new car and I took it for a test drive. We then discussed numbers and I got the number I wanted for my "old" car and decided to move forward with the purchase. Kyle got the paperwork together, transferred the insurance and title and switched the plates over and I was on my way! This dealer waited over an hour past their normal closing time for us to arrive. We were coming from the Charleston area which we had never been to Bluffton before. When we arrived, the dealer had the car pulled out front and ready for a test drive. We feel in love with the 2008 Infinity G35 with 58,000 miles. It was in very good condition and well maintained. After the test drive, we decided we wanted to purchase the car. In order to purchase the car, we were going to have to drive back to Charleston and come back to Bluffton the next day with a check from our bank which didn't have a branch in the Bluffton area. The dealer offered us a bank to finance with that had the same rate that our bank was going to finance the car for. The bank that they offered was open well after business hours and I was accepted within minutes after applying. This made our experience very pleasant and we were able to drive home with our new purchase that evening. These guys were great and very patient with us although it was getting late. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a good deal with quality cars and a very pleasant staff. Thanks guys!

My wife and I flew from New Orleans, LA into Jacksonville, FL. We then rented a car and drove to Savannah, GA where Cody picked us up after we turned in the Hertz rental at the Savannah airport. We started, as usual,and ended with Low Country Motors. This is the fourth car my immediate family has purchased from Low Country, I write this review in hopes that it reaches out to people looking for a car that will fit their needs. We started right around the corner at LCM and met the unbelievably calm, contained, and respectful, Shane. I will spare you the details but it went downhill from there. It was the last place that I felt validated and trusting in 8 hours. Once again, we ended up with the truck that fit our needs perfectly, for exactly the price that was on the car. It is not flashy. It is a humble building, with honest people that want to help you. From the "dealers" (Shane or Mike) to Kyle in finance, I promise you that you will not walk out feeling like customer number 162. Please spare yourself the feeling of being lied to and frustrated and left to sit at a small table in a cavernous building while " Tom " checks with his manager one more time at the "auto malls" in the area. Do what we didn't. Start with Low Country Motors...go have lunch, then go back.You will have the rest of the afternoon to play with your new car.

I had been searching for a used BMW Z4 for about 6 weeks. I live just outside Detroit MI and I have shipped cars before with one fair experience and one poor experience. Shane made me feel comfortable buying from him at Low Country and the reviews here on Dealer Rater also made me feel comfortable. When I added that to the fact the 2011 Z4 still had 15,000 miles or 13 months left on the manufacturer device/warranty plan I chose to buy from Shane. We negotiated a little bit and the transaction went smooth as could be! I bought this car unseen and no test drive. It might have been the easiest vehicle purchase I have ever had and I've probably bought or leased 20 cars. When the car arrived it was as close to new as a used car could be. It was better than described, listed and promised. Shane even sent me a brand new pair of BMW factory floor mats as a gift. The car was complete with all manuals, keys, and original sticker. Shane had the car checked out at the local BMW Hilton Head dealer and sent that paperwork along too. Shane was responsive and helpful. The CarFax that was provided also helped with making me feel comfortable since it was a 1 owner vehicle with regular oil changes and perfectly clean record.

My husband and I have bought several vans for business from Lowcountry Motors and have always been happy with the service, quality, and price. This purchase was for a personal vehicle. I knew what I wanted and Mike got not 1 but 2 vehicles that matched my requirements. I drove both cars for an adequate amount of time before I made my decision. Additionally, I was without a vehicle for several days while we finished the sale. Mike and Shane did not hesitate to provide me with a reliable car until my car was ready. The best experience we have ever had buying a car. There was no pressure whatsoever. Shane was very knowledgeable of each car we looked at and went over all the features of each model. Financing was a breeze and we got a great rate. Kyle did a great job preparing the paperwork and went over everything. We will be buying from Lowcountry Motors again.

We had a short but very positive experience with this dealership. I only wish more similar businesses could operate like Low Country Motors.They were very thorough, honest, up front, flexible and low pressure. They took our Mercedes off the market for 10 days, until we could inspect it. It was better than described.Shane and Kyle were very courteous and low key and made us feel comfortable throughout our purchase.We highly recommend this business to anybody looking for a quality experience. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's clearly a 10!

As a first time car buyer, I was significantly overwhelmed, especially after making the mistake of letting my first few stops be new car dealerships. From the moment I stepped on the lot, the feeling was completely different. Mike gave me all the time in the world to check out and test drive a few cars even though it was after hours. I never once felt pressured or stressed. After feeling very depreciated from the new car dealerships, I felt as though I was treated with respect, honesty, kindness, and hospitality any time I spoke with Mike or Shane. Expectations were clear from the beginning, and they were able to get me a great rate and a fair price on a car that I now love. After buying the car and noticing there was one issue, they quickly fixed the problem and went above and beyond to accommodate. I would and will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle!

Stopped by the lot to see a solara that we had noticed from the road. I've dreaded car dealership visits for years as i have had a couple of bad experiences and i've never been comfortable with sales - especially pushy sales. Upon arrival i was greeted by a very nice gentleman who shook my hand and told me his name was Shane. We had a brief friendly conversation and he grabbed the keys so i could look inside the car. He was very laid back and didn't drop any of the cliche "you need to buy this car right now" lines. He pointed out some key features of the car and let me know that if i was looking specifically at a solara to keep an eye out for hair line cracks in the dash. When i decided to take it for a test drive and tried to start it the battery was dead. He jumped it and i took it for a quick drive and loved it. My husband and i did some research prior to arriving on the lot so we knew what was fair but when we went in to talk numbers shane showed me how they came up with the price, comps in the area, the car fax and their dealer promise. He assured me that they were a family business and that their sales and rep are based on customer satisfaction and throughout the deal i felt this was accurate. I bought the car and used one of their banks to finance. I had been preapproved by my own institution but did not want to drive back to sav to pick up the check. Shane's business manager (who i believe was his uncle) was able to work out the same terms and rate as my credit union. The icing on the cake? While i was signing all the papers with my husband and the business manager, Shane took my new car to get some gas AND he put in a new battery to ensure the one that needed the jump wasn't faulty. Not only would i recommend this dealership to friends and family but we are looking to purchase again in the spring and we have Shane's card on our fridge to help us find a jeep.

Thanks again for everything. I have been more than pleased with my Mazda 3. I have also been extremely impressed with the customer service throughout this entire process. Not once did I feel pressured into anything such as extended warranties and there was always someone at the office to speak to when I had a question during the entire process. Before my recent purchase, I had only owned two cars- both of which had been given to me so I was quite nervous with the idea of having to purchase a car on my own. My experience at Low Country Motors was AMAZING! From the moment I drove in the lot, I was welcomed. I sat down with Shane and discussed my budget and what I had in mind. From there he provided me with available options. After one test drive in the Lexus, I knew that's what I wanted! The paperwork took less than an hour and before I knew it, I was driving away in my very own car! After that surprisingly pleasant and easy experience, I can't imagine buying a car anywhere else.
