Purchased a 2017 Honda Civic,, mostly via emails and telephone. Upon receiving the vehicle at the dealership, I have to say, the transaction couldn't have been smoother and stress-free. Everything promised was delivered, with no back peddling on anything. Most astounding was the interest rate that was quoted, was given. My last vehicle purchase at a NYS dealership was not so pleasant with the dealership pulling the interest bait and switch on me, by offering a 3.9% rate, and then on day of pick-up, the rate on paper was 4.7%. Not at Mahwah Honda! Sales and finance team were extremely courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and patient, answering all questions clearly and concisely, and offering future help if ever needing. I would definitely recommend this dealership without hesitation. Oh, forgot a very important detail: The price quoted for the vehicle was the lowest out of 5 Tri-State area Honda dealerships, and again, no back peddling at any point in time with regard to original price quoted.

Debbie Levinson was recommended to me by a trusted friend. She did not exaggerate when she stressed Debbie's professionalism. When I contacted Debbie the day before my purchase, I could tell that she was a great communicator: she really listened, and was friendly and eager to help. She quickly gave me her cell phone number in case I needed to reach her. When I came in the next day, she helped me find the exact car I wanted in record time. Debbie took the time to explain every feature of the car to me before our test drive, and continued the lesson hours later, after all the paperwork was completed and I was ready to drive off with my new car. She connected my phone, helped with the voice recognition feature, and made me feel comfortable in the vehicle. Throughout the process, she expedited each step as best she could, with careful explanations of the leasing agreement and insurance concerns. She was continually upbeat for the process, which took several hours, and could not have been nicer.I will be very happy to refer customer to Debbie Levinson.

I stopped in the dealership to inquire about trading in my CRV or a new one. I told Mike what I wanted and how much I could afford. Mike emailed me updates on what he had available and in about two weeks I got the car I wanted and at the price I wanted.I was in the dealership for about 1/2 hour and drove away with my new CRV. It was the smoothest transaction. Jack Russell have all the paperwork organized and ready to go. It was an overall pleasant experience.

Too may times having to return for items to be fixed that were ignored by the techs. Battery checked by tech (report), say battery fine. Stuck on the road two times with dead battery, two-three days after service. When asked, I was assured the battery checked fine under load test. Was the water level checked? YES was the reply. The battery was as dry as a desert.Check engine light on another car: Replace Tires (4) & Battery. Two days later Check engine light= Replace catalitic converter. Afraid to loose the sale of Battery & Tires?. By the way, the owner is a female. I question many of the VERY EXPENSIVE repairs. Trust Factor = -10. Solution offered= a 10% discount. All the add on's for the service, the 10% faded into history and a 30% recouped in extras. No big deal $ 1.00 added to top off an already full washer tank. Serious trust issue's with this dealership. I suppose someone has to pay for the new renovations. NOT ME ANY MORE!!!!!!

I traded in my 2011 Hyundai Tuscon for a new 2016 Honda CRV and am thrilled I did. They made buying a car a pleasurable experience. Everyone I worked with here was absolutely wonderful. Bob Zimmer was my sales associate, he took me through everything the CRV had to offer, took me out for a test drive and then we went and looked at the dealership stock in person. When I made my choice Jack Russell helped me through all the paperwork and made sure I had everything in order to drive off the lot that same day! He made that mountain of paperwork seem like a breeze. When all was said and done and the dealership was closing, they took the time to make sure I was taken care of. Even after 6pm, Bob was outside with me and taking the time to make sure I could work everything in my new car to ensure I had a safe and pleasurable ride home. I went to this dealership from Brooklyn, NY based on previous reviews. I was looking for a sales person who wasn't going to try to sell me a car I did not want. After my daughter had such a great experiencing buying her car from Mahwah Honda, I also decided to go there and work with the same sales consultant, Michael Vinci. I also had a pleasant experience when I unexpectedly had to purchase a new car. Michael was very thorough and patient as he went through the differences between the CR-V and HR-V, showing me both cars, and the different options and prices with both cars. I did not feel pressured at all in purchasing one car or the other, I felt he just wanted me to be informed of the difference between the two models to make sure that I got the car that I was looking for. After deciding to purchase the CR-V, Michael sat with me going through and setting up all the features of the car. He was very courteous and pleasant throughout the entire sale. Outstanding, exceptional service first come to mind with my experience of purchasing my new car at Mahwah Honda!! The sales consultant I worked with, Mike Vinci, was AMAZING!!! He was very patient with my indecisiveness showing me different options. At one point he even took a step back saying it was my car and I had to like it instead of pushing the car on me. At NO point during the sale did I feel pressured into buying a car which was my concern going in. I actually went just to look and get prices, but ended up purchasing the car that same day because Mike was able to get me a good deal and actually got my payments to be a few dollars less than what I was expecting to pay...this was without having to do any negotiations. I picked up the car on a Monday evening, Mike was waiting, sat with me to show me all the features of the car and set everything up (Bluetooth, Android Auto etc). Mike was very attentive, courteous, and personable making me feel comfortable throughout the whole process of purchasing my first car. He has a way of treating you more like a friend than a customer which made the process of buying a car so much easier and hassle-free!! I highly recommend Mahwah Honda and Mike Vinci!!!

We went into Mahwah Honda searching for a new vehicle. We have never owned a Honda, but have heard good things about Hondas, so this was the first place we went in our search. JC Meyer was not pushy, but was there when we needed him. He didn't stop us at the door, but let us look a little and then approached slowly and offered assistance. We found him to be informative, and knowledgeable with all the vehicles they had. He was helpful and allowed us to look at several different models and allowed us select what we were interested in. He personalized this expereience by using our names and we felt he knew us for some time. He made us feel like he was selling a car to a friend. We would recommend this dealership because of him. We are still continuing our search for a vehicle, but if we buy a Honda, we will be back to JC.

I was recently in a car accident and once again found myself looking to buy a car with still less than ideal credit. I filled out a form online for bad credit auto loans. A day later I was contacted by your dealership and came in the next day. Armed with my paystubs, verification letters from contract work that I do and various forms of ID I loaded myself up on Caffeine and expected to spend the day cutting through red tape. After sitting for a few minutes I was directed to Rob Fazio. Rob took my information, discussed the parameters of what I was looking for in a car, what I could pay each month and what a feasible down payment would be. He told me to expect to hear from him by the close of business the next day. The next day I heard from Rob that there was a small hang-up as I had placed a fraud alert on my credit reports. He then gave me a number to call at Honda Finance so they could do an additional ID verification. Within hours of completing the verification Rob e-mailed me that he had gotten me approved within all the parameters we discussed.Rob made what I expected to be an arduous situation dare I say a pleasure. I will highly recommend Rob and Mahwah Honda to my family, friends, and associates.

I am a full time college student and a part time worker. It was my first time purchasing my own car as well as leasing. Not knowing what I was getting myself into, I felt as though the salesperson truly wanted to help me and not rip me off. I was able to find a perfect car for my needs, as well as having a sporty looking car (which I love). They had saw the first time I went I was upset because I thought it was not going to all fall into place. When I had left the first time without my car and upset, they had assured me that when I came back the following day (Monday), I was going to leave with the car because they were going to do everything they could do assure that. That day, everything fell into place just as they said and I left with my brand new 2016 Honda Civic, leasing, and could not be any happier. My 6'4"-270-SR frame is not able to access most vehicles. Maybe my right leg. Add to that a limited budget. DAVE BARYSH got me into a 2007 PILOT IN DYNAMITE CONDITION. He came up with a FAIR PRICE and put me on the road to HAPPINESS. I was very impressed with his personable - easy going demeanor. The process started late next day with my wife and son who is a 27 yr old mechanical whiz kid ( an NJIT grad w 4.0) . He didn't get a chance to totally check out the PILOT till 12 A.M. The new COOPER TIRES and brake rehab were a start, with the rest of the truck in great shape. He did find a slow leak in the radiator, so next day I contacted ROB FAZIO, Sales Mgr. I stipulated a request for a new radiator, to which he asked I get to Service for verification with a call to him for authorization. ROB FAZIO & MICHAEL CRAIG gave the green light to replace the radiator ( over 800$ ) after a pressure test. I was even taxied to work at military sub-contract facility during "THE FIX" in a large van. THAT MADE MY DAY! My son studied the PIOLTS TRANY and commented on the magic that goes on there. Overall the truck is making me happier every day. I 've always read Consumer Reports avidly, with persuasive reports of HONDA RELIABILTY. THANKS TO THE FEW GOOD MEN, DAVE-ROB-MIKE, ON THIS MEMORIAL DAY I CAN DRIVE IN MEMORY OF "THE BEST" , AS WELL AS THE SOLDIERS I KNEW.

My husband and I just leased an Accord EX for our children ages 17 and 20 to share. We were fortunate to work with Anil Arora of Mahwah Honda. Anil went above and beyond guiding our family through the process and included our children in all conversations. He never pressured us and was very patient despite the fact we first walked in at 6 pm on Memorial Day. We thought we would just be looking, but after a test drive suggested by Anil, our entire family knew this would be the perfect for the young drivers in our family. We drove the car new out of the showroom at noon today and could 't be happier. We also spent some time talking with the manager of the dealership, whose name I can't remember and apologize for that. However, like Anil, he was also extremely professional, personable and truly cared about making sure we were happy with our decision. ...so, this is not my first ride on the Merry-go-Round of buying a car. Over the last 20 years I have bought from many different places, but never once have I felt as good about it as I did at Mahwah Honda. In all fairness, I have been driving Honda Elements for the past 14 years, and so I have some fondness for the brand. That being said, my last purchase 11 years ago at DCH Paramus Honda was so harrowing and awful that I went out of my way to go to Mahwah to look at cars, and I am really glad I did.JC Meyer sat with me and went through different models, talking them up, and walking me through the pros and cons. I came in specifically to look at the HR-V, so we started there, but also talked a bit about the Civic, CR-V, and Fit. He had a lot of CR-Vs and Civics in stock, but he never once tried to push or pressure me into either of them, he did what salesmen are SUPPOSED to do: present ideas and alternatives, and listen to the customer to see whether there is a better alternative that they might not realize. I came to look, but JC made such a great impression that the bar for all the other cars I looked at was insurmountably high. Great work on his part!Bob Pellecchia and the team were excellent in getting me from my aging Element and into the HR-V. They were friendly, collegial, and congenial. They even chatted with my mother and got her to the point of being excited about Hondas.... She drives a Buick LaCrosse... That should tell you something about perception right there. They worked hard to make me a part of the family, and I appreciate it.Michael Craig, the Finance Guy, was fantastic, he walked me through the steps he took to obtain my financing. This guy is pure, solid gold. Like everyone else, he did not press or pressure, and worked with me to make the best possible selection possible."Uncle" Dave DiSimone helped me out a great deal, taking me over to the secondary lot to check out colors, discussing the pros and cons of options packages, and laughing at my nerdy jokes.All in all, this is possibly the gold standard of Honda dealerships. They have enough awards to sink a small ship, and they deserve every one of them. No question.

I came in for the first time last week, and worked with Girish. He was a wonderful sales representative and took me on three test drives. Ultimately, he is the reason I decided to come back and buy my new Honda Accord. He followed up immediately following my visit and throughout the week. He was one of the best car salesmen that I have ever worked with. On Friday, I was called by Michael Vinci, who left a voicemail stating that he would be my new sales representative (I was unsure of the reason, but thought that possibly Girish had left, otherwise, I would have stayed with him). Michael was a great sales representatives and very personable. I felt very comfortable with him and purchased the car within an hour or so. Just leased my third Honda Civic from Mahwah Honda and couldn't have been happier with the experience. All the employees at the dealership are friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. Everything from picking a new car to picking up the new car was quick and easy. Even though I previously had an older model Civic, Justin still took the time to review in detail all the new features and changes to the car, and even helped set-up Android Auto and Bluetooth connectivity on the new car.The new dealership on Route 17 is beautiful. I chose to visit this Honda dealership when looking for my third lease with Honda. I always use the Service Center which is wonderful. Unfortunately, my experience with the dealership was 100% different. I met with Daniel B. and shared with him that I was looking to quickly lease another CR-V. He immediately gave me a ridiculous price of $478 per month with $2500 down. That price was absolutely ridiculous. Three hours later, he finally brought a price down to $349 per month with $2500 down. I chose to call around to other dealers and was immediately given a price of $1000 down and $298 per month. As a courtesy, I called to let him know that I obviously have to take a lower price. I later received an email telling me that he does not believe the number that I was provided. Telling a customer that they are lying is insulting, rude, and overall poor customer service. Needless to say, I am very happy that I am getting my new car tomorrow for a whole lot less than was offered. Even though I love the Service Center, they will no longer receive my business.

I had trouble finding the car I wanted in the color I wanted (at a specific trim level). Mahwah Honda was able to find it and have it ready in a couple days, while other dealers could not. They were pretty attentive and courteous throughout the process. I'd say the price I ended up paying for the car was market value. While I'm confident I didn't overpay for the car, I did't get a "steal" either, I'd say I paid fair market value, which I was ok with. Overall I was very pleased with the experience. .

High praise go to my sales guy, Joe, the two managers Robert and Dave and to the service department where I've dealt with Ben for some follow up service- all minor stuff, but Mahwah Honda handled it as if it were their only concern and worked so hard to insure I was not only satisfied with the purchase and service, but also feeling like a cared for customer. At age 64 3/4 have bought 5 new cars, This is our fourth Honda.Third Accord. No better car than the Accord(bullet proof). And no better Dealer for sales.(no pressure) Thanks Lenox, Bob and Jack(finance) who spent a good bit of time explaining all. The car was ready the next day w/3 accessories installed. Even though snow storm was a couple of days earlier. Don't mind driving the few extra miles. I don't usually do reviews, but this place is a winner.

My husband and I went to Mahwah Honda intent on buying a Honda Odyssey. Upon seeing all of the cars available and receiving excellent advice and explanation by our salesman, Steve Bawiec, we completely changed our original plan and purchased a Honda CRV. Steve was so patient with us, as my husband and I went through our indecisiveness and intense discussion about which was the "right" car for us. I really appreciate the way Steve didn't get impatient or irritated with us. He gave us the pertinent facts about each car we looked at, and gave us time to make our decision. In November 2015 I visited Mahwah Honda with the intention of trading in 2 vehicles and buying 2 new Hondas. Bottom Line: the general sales manager is rude, discourteous, and grossly unprofessional. When I got up to leave, he YELLED AT & INSULTED ME IN THE STORE. He is a grown man, a sales person, and supposedly the general manager. If you are reading this you may think this was a argument that escalated in the heat of car buying. Nope. He sat at the desk, was a total jerk, and then YELLED as I left. Not 20 minutes after being told by Mahwah my offer to buy 2 cars was nuts (then being insulted and yelled at), I was sitting in DCH Honda in Paramus NJ. Go there! Friendly & professional! And best of all I got the deal I wanted. Great team at DCH!

I found myself at Mahwah Honda by accident. I had just had a miserable experience looking at a pre-owned Civic at Metro Honda in Jersey City. Just about everything that gives car buying a bad name could be found there. Later that day, I took my daughter up near Mahwah to visit a friend, and stumbled onto the Mahwah Honda, Just about everything that car buying should be like is found here.I could not have been happier with my sales representative, Doug. I've bought many cars in my life, and it seems that fewer and fewer are sold by professional sales people. Doug is a pro. He was very knowledgeable about the car and its options, the difference between different model years, and differences between it and competitors. He didn't try to push me into a particular one they had. Instead, he tried to figure out exactly what I needed. This was going to be shared by two of my kids who were just reaching driving age., so safety and reliability were more important than cushiness and the lowest mileage. They had a very good selection of pre-owned Civics so that made things easier. We took a test drive that gave me a good feel for the car's capabilities, and he never rushed me to get back to the shop. When it came time to work out the numbers, he didn't play games, and I got a very reasonable price.When it came time to see the finance guy, which is often where they "get you", instead I had a very pleasant conversation with another pro. I forget his name, but he had been there for years. He explained that there's just a different culture at Mahwah than at some of those high pressure, giant volume places. While I was in his office, a couple poked their heads in to say hi. They had been customers for 20 years, and were looking for another car. You could tell the vibe at this place was legit.When it came time to get my plates, Doug dropped them off at my office, which wasn't far from his home. He also called a few days after purchase to make sure everything was going smoothly. Again, a real pro.I can't say enough about my experience.

My wife and I were looking to purchase a 2016 Honda Pilot EXL w/Sensing. We originally went to another dealership and had a terrible experience trying to find the exact model and color.We contacted Mahwah Honda through their Internet sales channel and got in contact with Joe Donegan. He was courteous and professional while communicating over emails. He explained to us the situation, worked to find us the exact model and color of a vehicle being built and gave us a great price. We went to the dealership to sign paperwork and put a down payment. We received the vehicle a few weeks later just as Joe had promised. Throughout the process, Joe gave timely updates and maintained great communication. I bought a great used car at a fair price. I was very hesitant at first. I have not bought a used car in a long time, and images of the classic used car salesman gave me nightmares. However, the people at Mahwah Honda were not like any salespersons I have met before. Dave was very knowledgeable about the car he was selling. Additionally, I didn't feel like he was pressing to make a sale but, more like I was starting a nice friendship and car was mutual interest. My mother and I stopped at the dealership on a reference from some friends. I was not in the best of moods. We just left a dealership down the block, and the pushy salesman there refused to talk to me even though my mother explained the car was for me. I was very angry. When we got Mahwah Honda, David Barysh greeted us both, and watched from a respectful distance as we looked around a bit. He then came over and offered his help. He was not pushy in the least bit, nor was he overbearing the way the guy was at the other dealership. When he found out the car was for me, he gave me complete attn. Michael Chiaradio was the manager that handled all our financial situation. He was extremely kind, helpful and got me great deals ! Both David and Michael were kind, helpful, genuine and best of all not pushy and did not ignore me! I can't thank them enough, and my mother plans on going back in a few months for a car as well! I picked up my new Honda CR-V this morning and was very happy with Mahwah Honda, particularly my saleperson, during the process. My first visit on Tuesday went very well, with the salesperson carefully answering all my questions and otherwise explaining all I needed to know about the car in which I was interested. There was no undue pressure and even the price discussion was conducted in a totally honest manner. The test drive was very helpful and we traveled to the dealer's other lot so that I could see the color I preferred. The discussion with the finance department was short and to the point. I went back on Thursday to negotiate a final price and everything went very well. The situation was similar Friday morning, when I went to pick up the new car. I thank the salesperson for his very professional yet friendly approach.

So I ended up here after going to a few Hondas and not getting the help I needed. I was coming out of a lease with Nissan who gave me a bad experience and I wanted nothing more to do with them. When i walked in i met with Jorge. Jorge took the time to answer each of my questions which were ALOT!! He explained step by step how he came up with the numbers he offered me. He was very patient and when things got a little rough with making the deal Jake the manager helped and made this process smooth and easy. When it came time to sign off on the lease I worked with Mike at the finance department. He followed up with me on everything and when he said he would call me the next day with a response the next morning he was calling me. This guy is really good at what he does and getting you the right numbers with the bank. Before signing he explained all the numbers to me to make sure everything was correct and showed me everything on the computer so that there wouldn't be any surprises. I will admit I can be that tough customer at times but these people really went out of there way to help me in this process. I didn't feel any pressure or added stress by them. They all have a special way of making you feel welcomed and appreciated which i cant say about other dealerships. The customer service is more than 5 stars. I can go on and on about this dealership and how great they made this process for me when I was in a rush to get the car. Thanks again for everything and for your patience!!!

My experience at Mahwah Paramus was great! I came in 2 months prior to when my lease was up. I wanted the HRV, we test drove it, and the sales man Bob Zimmer was doing everything he could to get me the best price but it wasn't in my budget. Him and his manager advised me to come back when my lease is up and see if there is a better leasing program for the HRV. The fact that they didn't force a sale on me is why I came back. Originally I had leased my car with DCH Honda and when I went back the sales man didn't pull up any prices for me just told me to get another civic LX ( which was the car I had then) but not giving me a good price. I went back to Mahwah and advised my sales man Bob Zimmer that I am interested in the HRV and the Civic . We test drove both cars and in the end I decided on the Civic EX model. The price was great! I only put $250 down and my monthly payment was less than when I leased with DCH Honda for just the base model and I had put $1000 down. While waiting for my car to be ready, I enjoyed talking to my sales person he was very personable. In all the buying experience was quick and comfortable. The manager Jake Bender was great too. I went home loving the car and knowing I got a great deal!

I had a deal pending at another dealership but they could not find the car I wanted to lease in the color I wanted. Mahwah Honda searched their computer and found that the color I wanted was being made in the factory and they would have it on site before my current lease ended. Needless to say I got my deposit back from the other dealer and Mahwah Honda got my business. The car arrived quickly and they called me right away but due to my own busy work schedule I had to delay picking it up until the end of the week.

Dave and Michael treated me as if I was family to them. From the moment I walked in I felt it was the right place to be to purchase my first car. Dave and Michael were so attentive in what my interest were and how they could make a way for me to purchase my new car. They did their job exceptionally and made it such a breeze. My husband and I went to the dealership with the mentality that we were NOT going to buy anything and we ended up walking out with a brand new Odyssey. The whole experience was what the car buying process should be from looking at the car to working with finance (Jack Russel). Our sales person JC Meyer was very nice, honest and patient as we looked at multiple vehicles and took two test drives. He was very knowledgeable and did not pressure us at all. I started a new job the week I first contacted Rob Fazio Jr about a 12 Accord. I explained that to Rob in an email, along with what payment I'd like, desire to not have to pay out of pocket if we made a deal etc. He gave me a great deal and he did in the manner I requested, unlike the any of the other dealerships I contacted. The day of the deal we were treated with kindness and respect. My wife and I and my son Billy were treated extremely well while we did the deal. From the moment I called asking for directions to the showroom through weeks later when I picked up my plates for my new lease, I was treated respectfully and warmly, a rare combination in the new car sales world. I visited Mahwah Honda and a guy names JC Meyer was there to help me with test drive and answer questions. He seemed to be well experienced and willing to help me get a good deal. That day he said he'll do this and promised to follow up via call - after I had left the dealership, I emailed and called him but he never responded. Very rude and unprofessional behavior by a sales person.I will never go there again. There may be other associates not like him but JC Meyer is the very reason that I will not return to this dealership.

I showed up, Pat Lorimer assisted me with the critical features I needed and showed me what was in stock. Pat then proceeded show me the car fax and all the proper maintenance and repair work done to my used 2006 Honda Pilot with 100K. I was impressed and the SUV runs like new. Dave Kurz the finance guy proceeded to help me with the best and lowest interest rate which I was very happy about. I would recommend Pat Lorimer and Dave Kurz for a honest and genuine car buying experience.

I was terrified when rob said I was approved for financi g a car. very intimidated as well. but after talking I was very happy and he connected me to Pablo and said he had the perfect car. it was an accord. foolishly with out seeing the car and talking face to face I was sold and all in. scared I was being taking advantage of but wound up with an amazing car. they showed me the car fax it out requesting it and Ben did most of the leg work. they make a great team and I'll be my only option for purchasing a vehicle till retirement due us part I'll say and I highly re amend the whole mahwaw Honda dealership. but most of all ask for rob and or Pablo. I was recently fustrated by the take it or leave it atttitude of other NJ-NY Dealerships. I had a good positive experience and thorough explanation of certified used car features with Mahwah Honda people. They have a no pressure policy and listen to their customers. I was happy that my salesman David Barysh was informative and showed all the features of a Honda Pilot during my demonstartion ride and after selling me the car. I made a good deal with the dealership and traded-in my old car. They patiently helped me with the paperwork. I recommend trying them if you want to be treated well and frankly.

I give this dealership five stars because they are nothing but excellent when it comes to customer service. The sales department treat the customers with a lot of respect and want them leaving with a smile on their face. I had went on a bunch of test drives at various dealerships back in April to get a feel of what car I would want to buy once my lease was up this month, and I fell in love with the Honda Civic, which salesman, Bob Zimmer was able to take me on a test drive with. I had also contemplated a used Honda Accord, which Bob did not hesitate to refer me over to CPO sales, where I met with Ely Kohan.I ended up purchasing a brand new 2015 Honda Civic and am in love with it. It drives amazing, very smooth, and has a lot of cool features to it. I dealt with both Bob Zimmer and Howard Pulman throughout the sales process, and both were a pleasure to work with. I would definitely recommend this dealer to friends and family and plan to do more business with them, maybe even look into the new Civic Type R which should be launching a few years from now.

When we left Mahwah Honda with our car yesterday, I had an overwhelming feeling that we made the perfect choice. He listened to what we needed and our budget and really delivered exactly what we were looking for. My husband and I lucked out when we meet Steve Chin at Mahwah Honda. Steve is a very knowledgeable salesman and all around nice guy! He explained everything perfectly, answered all our questions and didn't rush us. I find it amazing that we walked into the dealership at 10am, picked the car we wanted, went to lunch and returned at 3pm the same day and drove off with our new car. I love my new Honda CRV! I really appreciated Steve's follow up call the next day to make sure we were satisfied and answer any questions...which we didn't have. I look forward to many more years with my new Honda but also look forward to dealing with Mahwah Honda again in the future.

I was originally going to purchase from my local dealer until I got a call from Anil at Mahwah Honda answering an email price quote I sent in. In a matter of about a half hour he met my price, we agreed on terms and I found myself driving to NJ from NY to drop off my deposit. i picked up my wife's new car two days after and delt with a very professional, courteous and informative staff. My wife as a general rule wil not go into a car dealership because she hates to deal with salespeople. She walked out of there saying to me, " Wow, that was easy and they were really nice". I would not hesitate to use these guys again!

I was looking to purchase either an Accord LX or Sport and emailed a few local dealerships to see what kind of prices I would get in comparison to what I was able to find on truecar.com and edmunds.com. I actually used edmunds' price promise quotes to negotiate the price. I first went to a Honda dealership on Rt. 4 on the last day of the month. I was approached by a sales man who asked what I was looking for and if I'd buy that night. It was almost 8pm, but they would stick around as long as it took to make a deal. I mentioned to the sales person that I was looking for an unbelievable deal, $4000 below MSRP. He said, "What if I can get you $4200 below?" I couldn't believe my ears. I said, "If you could do that, we have a deal." We went inside to do the numbers. A few minutes into it, a manager emerged and asked me where am I getting my $4000 off MSRP from? Then he was asking about the price promise email I showed him which wasn't quite $4000 off, but it was a good deal. Then he made some comment that the price promise was due to expire (it wasn't expired yet). Throughout this, the salesperson who set the expectation of $4200 said nothing. I did not appreciate that or the accusatory tone from the manager. After 2 hours I left without a car, but what I thought was a decent quote. The next day (May 1st) I visited Mahwah Honda. What a different experience!!! Anil (Neil) Arora was the internet sales manager who ended up helping me with my purchase. He showed me both an LX and a Sport and we test drove both cars. We then started talking numbers. I mentioned the quote I got the night before and the now expired price promise quotes. Anil took both numbers to his manager and let me know that they would honor the quote I got from their competitor since their documentation fees were cheaper. I was pretty much out of there within 2 hours. They didn't play any games with me. They didn't even try to push any extended warranties. Anil was quite pleasant to deal with and I would recommend him to my friends, family, and anyone looking for a hassle free car buying experience, without any reservations. By the way, I love my Honda Accord Sport!!! Thank you Anil and the team at Mahwah Honda!!!

My experience with Jorge and Mahwah Honda overall was absolutely great! The dealership itself is well designed, modern looking, and spotless. Overall, just very inviting. Jorge was simply put - the ideal salesman! It's clear he knows a lot about Hondas and loves the brand itself. I can't even begin to describe how many dealerships for various car makes I've been to where the salespeople barely know the details for their own cars (maybe bounced between too many different dealerships?), or just plain get the facts wrong. Jorge knows the products he is selling, and better yet, is honest about the pros and cons of each. He doesn't want to just sell you a car, he wants you to buy the RIGHT car, and his commitment to this is astounding. He was incredibly helpful in helping me choose the right car for me. Best of all, he doesn't BS. There was never any pressure to buy that first day (or any pressure at all,really), and his followups with me were pleasant, not aggressive. If you're considering buying a Honda and live in the area, Mahwah Honda is a dealership that should definitely be on your list. If, when you step in for the first time, you ask for Jorge you definitely will not be disappointed!

I just worked with David Desimone over at Mahwah Honda to get a new Accord. He was patient and good-natured, even while my wife and I took days to decide what we wanted. David took great pains to ensure every step of the process was clear and never pressured us. Anil Arora was a pleasure to deal with. I negotiated a final price via email and was able to pick up my car almost immediately. With the exception of the fact that the dealership was not interested in my trade-in, which had nothing to do with Anil, the total experience was among the best car-buying experiences in my 40 years of buying cars. This is my second purchase from Mahwah Honda and would recommend them to all buyers. (This is also my 4th Honda...extremely reliable automobiles!).

I had brought my vehicle in for service on March 16, 2015, Ron was very friendly and had the service done good but the only disappointment was that the service technician that worked on my vehicle, while doing the job, accidently cracked my front bumper and when I called to talk to Ron about this, he got upset and hung up the phone on me after denying that his technician did not do this but the fact is that when I had taken the vehicle into service, I had checked it very well all around my vehicle and there was no crack or scratch anywhere other than the one light scratch that was there when I bought this vehicle. So I request to Ron to have this fixed or mended not replace the whole bumper but Ron cuts me off, denies and hangs up the phone on me again, went in person to talk about this and he just cut me off straight off and said that he doesn't want to talk about this anymore. This whole customer service was bad and I didn't want to go to the service manager to complain because the service manager is his own brother and I just knew that nothing would be done about it. It was a very bad experience with service that I had, especially when going there for the very first time.Overall, Ron is a nice person and is very friendly as long as he gets appreciation but the moment we point out a problem, then all that nice personality is gone. I don't take Ron as a bad person for that but as a courtesy of their mistake they should have at least fixed up my bumper!!!

We had the pleasure of dealing with Jorge last month to purchase our Odessey. He was extremely knowledgable about the car and helped us to figure out what we truly needed (and not just what we wanted). He is focused on customer service and making the customer happy....not just trying to make a deal. Plus he's a total youtube and star wars geek...who doesn't love that! It was great to have some laughs during what is usually a very stressful experience. This is our 5th Honda but our first time at the Mahwah dealership. We definitely will continue to go to Mahwah for our future leases and hope to continue dealing with Jorge!

Alex Brischler is a very professional, honest, non-pressuring, kind, upfront sales person I have ever experienced. I leased a 2012 CRV-EX and 2015 CRV-EX from him. I didn't talk to anyone other dealer after the positive experience I had with Alex in 2012! I had about 4 emails to and from him : telling him what I want including style, mileage & color; We discussed the price & agreed; date and time I could get there which I had to change twice; & when I sent him my loan info! I spent less than 2 hrs driving and signing paperwork when I picked up the car both times! I only had to make 1 visit total each time! Alex spent time explaining the functioning of the car & set up my cell phone, radio & info on the car! He is the best! Alex returns your emails and telephone calls immediately during the sales process and after the sale! I went back to him because of my experience with the 2012, which was just as positive for the 2015 purchase. The 1st time I met him, it was as if we knew each other a long time! He doesn't pressure the customer at all! No matter where I live this is my car dealership! The other dealerships & Sales people I went prior to my 2012 experience left me with a regretful feeling. They were deceitful and dishonest and did not care after you signed the contract: Paramus Honda on Rt 4- Hershall who made manager & everyone else; Garden State Honda on Rt 3 - sales & service ; Planet Honda on Rt 22 sales & finance; Madison Honda & Honda on Rt 10! Horrific experiences! I hated buying cars!!!! Go to see Alex & his colleagues for a great experience. The finance business manager was very nice also- Howard Polman! No pressure! The dealership manager Bob Pellechia is great also! When a customer walks in the dealership a receptionist greets you & your not bombarded with sales people! It has if I walked into a professional office! I can't say enough positive things about Alex & the dealership! Yes MAWAH HONDA & ALEX BRISCHLER!!!!!!!

My husband and I are expecting out fourth child. We just bought a used Jeep last year and then found out we are expecting. Obviously with 4 kids, we needed a third row option. Fell in love with the Pilot and chose Mahwah Honda based on the dealer rating. Well the rating was accurate as the staff was helpful, friendly and courteous. Al was informative and honest. Trade in my 09 Corolla for 13 accord. Love the car but the purchasing of the car was the best. I delt with Rob Fazio Jr. He is a no nonsense straight foward type of salesperson. We went to look at a Pilot becasue we had specific needs in mind. We wanted an all wheel drive with room for a wheelchair to stand up in the back. The Pilot didn't meet our needs, and Jorge was going to find out where we could look at used Ridgelines. He happened to mention that MAYBE a CRV would meet out needs. We decided to try it out. The wheelchair fit perfectly and I was able to get in and out without a problem. Had it not been for Jorge, we would still be looking for a car. Jorge is most knowledgeable, patient and always ready to help. I recently bought a Honda CRV-ex from Honda Mahwah. He was assigned to help complete the deal as my original sales was not in that day. Jorge not only explained all the functionalities of this car, compared it with the old versions and other brands, but also helped us to learn every detail of this car. Later, when I bought a Honda Nav on my Iphone and had some issue due to my iOS upgrade, he tested on other cars with other iphones with alternative cables, until he finally cornered the issue and now my Honda Nav works just as before. My wife and I both very much appreciate Jorge's help. If you go to Honda Mahwah, look for Jorge and you will appreciate my advise!

I can write a book about my experience. However, I will not do that. My husband and I are extremely satisfied customers. We purchased a 2012 Volkswagen Passat. Jorge was so patient and kind in dealing with our family. I worked with him for over 5 months going back and forth over the phone with a lease deal to find a price that our family of 5 could afford (turning in a previously leased Odyssey early and leasing a new Odyssey). Jorge understood the hectic schedule of having 3 children under the age of 5 and my limitations of coming into the dealership to work out the numbers. When I did make it into the dealership, he even provided entertainment via his iPad for my 3 year old and 4 year old while waiting for the paperwork. Thanks for your patience!

We began our new car search on the internet and focused on both Toyota and Honda. We liked the CRV high-end model and so began at Mahwah Honda. Steve B engaged with us from the very start and with great courtesy, professionalism and patience helped us understand the options and alternatives and described the CRV operation. Steve helped us with the trade in and the initial paperwork. We were so happy with the process and the product, that we decided not to bother consider the Toyota alternative. Steve turned us over to Jack R who helped with the financing and paperwork. Very good discounts were available for extended coverage options. We plan to have the servicing handled by the dealership, too - almost everything is covered.We think the CRV will last for a long time, so don't expect a return visit anytime soon for that car's replacxement. However, we will not hesitate to very strongly recommend the dealership, Steve B and Jack R to friends and family.Top shelf!

Everyone I encountered was pleasant from the moment I walked in. My salesman Dave Desimone was extremely patient and even got on the telephone to answer numerous questions from my uncle and a friend. I never felt pressured to make a purchase at any time. Dave made my experience as seamless as possible and addressed my many questions in a very calm yet personal manner. I was in the market for a CPO Honda Accord and have been looking for a while and done some extensive research. I consider myself as an experienced car buyer, and have visited many dealerships over the years and have observed how each one of them treats the customers. Mahwah Honda is truly a nice find!My first contact started with a quick call with Mark Gordon to inquire the availability of the car I saw listed on cars.com, then made an appointment for the next day. I was assured that he wouldn't waste my time for coming to NJ from NY, as he understood it is a hassle.The next day, I visited the dealership, greeted by Mark, did a test drive on the Accord while Dave Kurz, the pre-owned car manager, did an appraisal on my trade. Negotiation with Dave went quickly and smoothly. They came up with a reasonable value for my trade-in, not like the offers I received from other dealers that were essentially an insult. The price for the Accord was also reasonable considering its certification and the "like new" condition it is in. It was painless. No games, No hidden fees, Nothing! Just a plain old smooth business transaction.I then proceeded with the financing aspect and was helped by Mike Chiaradio, who is very friendly and genuinely cares about his customers. I've been in many finance manager's offices where they try to up sale everything possible. But not with Mike, he wanted to get my paperwork done asap so I could go home to NY, considering I had my wife and 2 young kids with me. In summary, if you are looking for a good place to purchase your Honda and want to be treated like a FAMILY, Mahwah Honda is the place!

On Friday November 7th I has the absolute pleasure of obtaining a 2015 Honda Pilot from Mahwah Honda. Firstly, I want to make mention of my salesmen Dave Desimone. From the moment I walked in up to an including the time I drove away in my new SUV, Dave did nothing except walk me through the entire process, explain every detail in total, answer all of my questions and present me with options that best suited my needs. Further, I never felt pressured or like I was being sold, rather the entire experience with Dave was comfortable and stress free. Secondly, Dave took the time to show me every color and model of the vehicle I selected as well as describe every subtle nuance most commonly left out by other dealers/salesmen. He was friendly, personable and most importantly...honest. He has made two follow up inquiries with me in the two days that I have owned this vehicle and I commend him for it. This level of customer service is so often lacking in every aspect of sales these days that I am actually shocked at the level of personal attention I received from Dave and Mahwah Honda. Manager Anthony Amato even took the time out of his day to come over, introduce himself and talk, Anthony and I did not even speak about the vehicle I was interested in, rather about cars in general and his passion for performance vehicles. I am thankful for his kindness and honesty as well. I do not like buying/leasing cars, it really is not one of my favorite things. Six years ago I purchased a 2006 CRV used from a private party for my daughter. Even though the car was not purchased from Mahwah Honda, I have always had positive experiences with their service department. Recently they went above and beyond my expectations. At 85,000 miles, my daughter's car needed brakes and few other things. One of the best car buying experience I have had at any dealership. In no way did I feel pressured or taken advantage of like I have felt with past dealerships. My salesman Jorge Davila went out of his way to make sure my girlfriend and I were comfortable and relaxed at all time. I was deciding between two cars and in my indecisiveness, Jorge was very patient and did not pressure me at all to make a quick decision. I ended up going with a 2015 Honda Fit EX-L in Modern Steel Metallic....a very hard combo to come by. I knew this was something I had to wait for. Jorge kept me up to date with any new info that he came across about the car. In the end, Jorge and his GM Bob Pellechia, was able to pull off a trade with another dealership to get me the car that I wanted. At the time of pick-up, they had everything all ready for me. We went through in detail all the features of the car and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. I would definitely buy again from Jorge and Mahwah Honda. I have to drive an hour to this dealership, but I had and will not have any issues going back there to buy another car or take my car for service. I definitely recommend Jorge and Mahwah Honda.

From beginning to end the treatment from the sales and service staff was outstanding. The salesman Al Weiser and the Business manager Michael Craig bent over backwards to put together a deal for my 2014 Honda Ridgeline SE that was fair and equitable for the both of us. Our experience at Mahwah Honda was as easy as it gets......Al Wiser was wonderful to deal with........as he was professional and interested at the same time...He understood our needs and was able to handle everything for us in an easy manner....when Al was off for a day Anthony Amato was very helpful to us and explained anything that was left for us to do............The financial person Jack Russell is a pleasure to deal with and makes the money part of the deal easy to comprehend.........All in all we had a very positive experience and thank all three men but especially Al Wiser for always being there to answer all our questions even after we owned our new car.

Called into Main Line of Mahwah Honda only to inquiry about a 2014 Honda Civic EX-L. After speaking to the Phone Operator I was transferred to Sales Rep Tony Celeste. He was very attentive and receptive and answered all of my questions about the vehicle over the phone. He extended an invitation to come down to the showroom to test drive the the car. He offered a test drive right away. During the test drive he was knowledgeable of the car and was able to answer any questions that we had. My husband and I had been to two local dealers, and were considering one of the offers, but I was just unsure.Our friend and neighbor recommended we visit Mahwah Honda before making a final decision.The inconvenience of a 20 mile trip was my major concern but we took our friend's advice and are certainly glad we did. The showroom was pleasant and bright and all of the employees were friendly and professional. Their neat appearance was also a plus. We asked for Jake Bender (Manager) and he introduced us to Jorge Divilia, a very pleasant and knowledgeable young man. Jorge spent a great amount of time with us answering all our questions and giving us a great deal of information. We left, still undecided on a car, but I knew we had found a reliable dealer. Today, we returned and purchased a CRV LX. One of the most attractive features for me was the fact that I was not deluged with phone calls and e-mails. Once again, Jorge spent a great deal of time with us, showing us all the colors and combinations available and never rushing us or appearing to be anything but interested and helpful. Without pressure I was able to make a final decision and we are very satisfied with the whole experience. I would definitely recommend Jorge and Jake to anyone who might be in the market for a car. Also very helpful and pleasant was Howard Polman, the Financial Officer. Once the car was ours, Jorge took the time to explain all the workings of the car before we drove away. We enjoyed a comfortable ride home.

I went into Mahwah Honda a few weeks ago to help my brother get to the dealer while he drove home a new car for his daughter. I was impressed by the professionalism, price, and low-pressure atmosphere at Mahwah Honda (not to mention the new showroom !). The price on the base model my brother purchased was enticing as I had a 10-year old version of the same car. I was planning on extensive -- and expensive -- upgrades and repairs going forward if only because my 2004 Civic was approaching 170,000 miles and it had only required oil changes to date (can't beat that, huh?). I gave it some thought and 2 weeks later made a trip to test-drive a new 2014 model. Great experience, even my parents came along for the ride.So....given a choice between putting my $$$ into a 10-year old Civic or a brand-new EX-L upgraded version, the choice was clear. The leasing option and benefits were fully explained to me. I received a good and fair price for my trade-in; Mahwah Honda went the extra mile to help me out.This was my 9th car and my best experience to date with everyone from the sales to business end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mahwah Honda, and cannot say enough about Debbie Levinson, Jack Russell, and all the other great people there.

In the past, I have had some negative experiences at other dealerships with salesman and finance people, but such was NOT the case at Mahwah Honda. I want to mention that I bought 2 Accords from Bob Wong of Mahwah Honda about 10 and 20 years ago and found him very professional to work with. I would gladly have used him this time, but was assigned Joe, who is the Internet Service Manager.To sum it up, over the years, shopping at Mahwah Honda has been a great experience.

Rob, took his time to make sure we were getting the best deal possible. I came to him wanting to see what options I had, to get out of a mess I had from a loan I got over at NISSAN 46. Three days later, Rob came to me with an all around better deal that made sense. On arrival, he went over every single detail, and didnt just settle for the "sign here" method. My wife and I don't buy cars often. Our "youngest" car in the driveway was 10 years old and the oldest was 20 years. Finally, we decided to bite the bullet and replace our aging fleet. Our son had a great experience at Mahwah Honda and since we always HATED the new car sales pitch experience, we decided to give MH a try. Bottom line: we couldn't be happier and more satisfied with both the sales experience (absolutely NO pressure or "pitch") and with our new Hondas (Odyssey and CRV). I purchased a crv from this place in 2013. I had the car for less than a year when u was driving down the road and hit a pothole both side airbags deployed. I was 6 months pregnant. I contacted American Honda and mahwah honda and they pretty much told me that it's my problem.. No help was given except that I should go through my insurance company. The management at mahwah honda were useless and Marion at American Honda was even more useless. Thanks for selling me a car they knew full well that there was something wrong with. I was given a clean car fax in jan 13 prior to purchasing the vehicle and then American Honda informed me the car was in an accident in August of 2012. Something seems fishy. I contacted an attorney and was told this was a case of fraud. Mahwah honda knowily sold me a car they knew there was something wrong with and I'm pursuing legal action against these crooks.

To make a long story short, my vehicle of nearly 11 years was on it's way out and my mechanic, whom I trust and rely on, recommended the Honda, Pilot from the list of cars I had. After contacting some dealerships, Robert Fazio Jr. was back to me same day, answering the many questions I had with specificity. I was sure he was experienced. I made him aware that my time was limited with a full time job and three young children. He assured me that he would make this easy for me and do everything he could from his end. I was in touch with two other dealership and there was NO comparison to Robert's courtesy, tenacity, and ability to make this easy for me. He got me the lowest rate, I picked out the car online, and even negotiated over the phone. Of course I test drove the car and finalized everything the day of purchase. I was confidant after our many conversations that I would be pleased. I am, very pleased. This whole process, from our first conversation to our vehicle pick up was less than one week. I made one trip to the dealership and for someone with a schedule like mine, I cannot thank Robert Fazio Jr. enough for all of his hardwork. Steve B was incredible to work with. Patient and not pushy. He listened to my needs and agreed to the price USAA had negotiated at another dealer. He was really straight forward in his approach and this won my business. All the numbers lined up instantly with my lease calculator and there were no games that I experienced with some other dealers (Volkswagen). He also really went the extra mile by driving my new car back to the house as I drove the other car. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation on the way back to the dealer and realized that he was the perfect guy to buy a car from or have as a friend. I applied online and Rob Casio got right back to me, and although, I procrastinated he still kept in touch with me. Once I decided on a car he did everythingbonline with only about 2 phone calls. He made it so very easy for me!! He was very professional as well as very pleasant at the same time. I had an amazing experience finding and purchasing a used Honda Pilot with Harry Sha. Harry was friendly, professional, and most importantly, not pushy. Prior to car shopping, I spent a ton of time researching the best make and model for my families needs. I wanted to make sure 1) I didn't make any rash decisions 2) I'd nailed down a good deal. I test drove a decent amount of cars at other dealerships prior to seeing Harry and I was disappointed most with how the salesmen were trying to cover up problems with the vehicles. For example, one dealership tried to "air out" the car before I got there, so I wouldn't smell the cigarette smoke when I test drove it.With Harry, I immediately felt a level of trust. He was easy going and wasn't afraid to point out problems and never tried to cover them up. He went out of his way to meticulously point out every feature the car had to offer and make sure I tried everything out to make sure each feature worked. When I brought my wife to pick up the car that I had purchased, he again went through the entire car to bring her up to speed and make her feel comfortable. Most salesman just hand you the keys and say congrats, so yeah, I'd say he went out of his way to make sure we are happy with the purchase.For someone who loathes purchasing cars, he made it a pleasant experience and I look forward to sending my friends & family his way in the future for repeat business. When we walked into thedealership, Mark Gordon was great - he asked what we were looking for and in just a few minutes had a list of cars for us to look at.We decided which ones we would be interested in and after test driving them we selected the one which we purchased that day.The price was great and we were very pleased with our selection, the service, etc. Mark took the time when we picked up the carto sit with us in it and explain the different functions. This is my fourth vehicle purchase from Mahwah Honda. I bought a 2003 Honda Pilot, a 2008 Honda Accord and my most recent I just traded in was a 2008 Honda Pilot. The service was wonderful and the people were very kind. Everyone greeted me with a smile and the sales associate Harry was more then helpful. He took me into my new 2012 Honda Ridgeline and explained what all the bells and whistles were. Fantastic experience! I highly recommend this place. I had been searching for a while and felt like I was not having any luck before I found Mahwah Honda. At every other dealership in Northern NJ I was treated terribly. I am a 26 year old femal and every place I went attempted to take advantage of me and rip me off. This is my second purchase from Mahwah Honda and I had the best experience on both occasions. The sales team is very friendly and they take into account your financial situation when trying to match you with the right vehicle in your price range as well as to satisfy your needs. They went above and beyond in advocating for me to get approved for a car loan with a bank being that I have less than perfect credit. I would not only recommend this dealership, I will also be going back there for my next vehicle purchases. This dealership taught me that not all car dealers are untrustworthy and scamming and I trust them fully which is very uncommon with a dealership. This was an amazing experience for me and I highly recommend shopping and purchasing here.

I could not figure out how to edit my earlier review "Beware of Mahwah Honda Pre-Owned Sales Practices" as things have changed since I posted it. Here is an updated review of our recent experience with Mahwah Honda. We purchased a 1999 Acura TL from Mahwah Honda not even 5 months ago. With not even 5,000 miles added to the car during this time, the car's transmission failed. This was a shock to us since when we purchased the car, we were told that the transmission would last another 100,000 miles by the sales rep. When we called the dealer to complain, the pre-owned sales manager basically told us that they would have never made such claims and there is no warrantee on the car so there is nothing they can do for us. After I posted my review to online dealer rating sites, like this one, Mahwah Honda's service manager contacted us and was very apologetic about the experience we had with the pre-owned sales manager. He said he wished he would have known about our issue first and we could have avoided the bad experience we had. He offered to pay for 50% of our repair, which we thought was fair, and had a check to us within one day. He even offered to have the check dropped off the same day to our home. It is nice to see that consumers have a voice through websites such as this one. While our initial contact with the pre-owned sales department was not a good experience, we are satisfied that in the end, that the service manager at Mahwah Honda did come through and do the right thing by splitting the cost of an expensive repair. Thanks for coming through Mahwah Honda!

My wife has never owned a brand new car, and she had been researching the Honda Accord for quite some time. Before we decided on which dealership to go to, I asked around and the name Mahwah Honda was recommended. I spoke on the phone with a salesman, Justin Peluso, who was very friendly. It was the 2013 Summer Clearance Event and he told us that the sooner we got there, the greater the selection would be left to choose from. We visited the showroom about a week later and asked for him. He was very low key and didn't pressure us into buying anything. We asked him a lot of questions, and he answered all of them politely and honestly. In about an hour, he and my wife had narrowed it down to exactly the car she wanted. Then he took us out for a test drive and my wife liked the car very much.The next step was to introduce us to the finance manager. His name was Jack Russell, and he was also very friendly and helpful. To give you an idea of what kind of service we got there, Jack came to work 3 1/2 hours early on the day we bought the car to work out the final arrangements (and his commute to work was nearly an hour away).To summarize, my wife got exactly the car she wanted. We got a very nice price and were very satisfied with the quality of the product and the overall sales experience with Mahwah Honda. We would recommend them highly.

I had been to 2 other Honda dealerships (Paramus and Tenafly) before arriving at Mahwah. What a difference! My experience at Mahwah could not have been better. Honestly, it was the easiest and most enjoyable car buying experience I've ever had. The staff was friendly, the certified cars were beautiful, and it's clear that my satisfaction was important to them. Most importantly, I was treated respectfully and fairly. That certainly was not my experience at the other 2 dealerships. I was originally considering leasing, so I had several phone calls with Debbie in the new car sales department. During one call, I mentioned that I'd really like to buy a certified pre-owned and she referred me to Harry Sha. With my permission, she called Harry for me! All I can say is I met Harry the next day and within an hour I was signing paperwork to buy my Pilot! Harry is a top notch salesperson; a total professional. He really listened to me and did his best to deliver exactly what I wanted. I have already referred him, Debbie, and the dealership to several people -- that alone should speak volumes. I will be using Mahwah service department and when I'm ready for a new car, I will most definitely use them again. A+++++++

Visited Mahwah Honda Pre-Owned department to replace our 2000 Ford Taurus Wagon. Harry Sha greeted us promptly and cordially and asked us to describe our needs. He gave us plenty of options from the extensive inventory of used cars on their lot (a quite impressive inventory to chose from all nicely cleaned and displayed). We eventually selected a Certified, pre-owned Accord which we test drove with Harry. After doing some additional shopping at other pre-owned lots, we returned to Mahwah Honda. Why did we return and purchase there? Quite simple, actually:1. Quality of the vehicles we were presented,2. Courtesy, knowledge and professionalism of the staff- Harry listened to us and gave us the options to meet our requirements,3. The value we got for the money we spent- we bought a great car at a very fair price and received a great value for the trade-in. The entire deal was more than fair and the entire experience actually a pleasure! We need to also mention the assistant Manager of Mahwah Honda Pre-Owned sales, Dave Kurz, who we also met and found to be quite knowledgeable, professional, cordial and nice to deal with.Top marks for Mahwah Honda, their products, and most importantly, their staff.

Let me start by saying Rob Fazio, Jr. is my hero. He went above & beyond to get me into a Honda Civic. At first I was skeptical when he told me he could get an approval for me without me coming in. I shopped on-line last Saturday, did the credit application & got an answer that Monday & four days later today (Friday) I went to pick my car up & woot woot, what a Hott Mama I am. I went to several dealerships in the Middletown/Goshen NY area & all denied me. What I really dislike is when you go to a Dealership with your hopes up, you fill out the credit app, test drive the car, sit there from 2-3 hrs for them to say the magic word (DECLINED!!!) Rob should go around the Globe & train other sales people how to do things over the telephone to avoid embarrassment & disappointments. Rob, thank you with the utmost respect for treating me like a human being & not like a (dollar sign). You helped me get out of a loan that was horrific & you got me into a safer more stylish car. I have done business with Mahwah Honda since the the mid 1980s they always go out of there way to make me feel like my business really matters to them. My Honda's dont have many issues but when ever they do they have always been there with the best service I could ask for. The customer service is a big part of why I continue to service my vehicles (a 2010exL and my new 2012Lx Accord) and also the reason I would only buy my new cars at this dealer. There pricing on service work is very reasonable and there new car prices are always the best. I was honestly annoyed leaving the dealership on Saturday as I had previously fully disclosed all previous offers, provided all information on my car, had the title and all sets of keys in hand to make something happen on the spot, and received an offer that was $2K less than what I had 15 minutes from my house a month ago. I am not certain if Joe D is at fault but I will lean toward Bob Pellecchia the New Car GSM. I advised EVERYTHING leading into taking the over 100 mile trip to visit this dealership. In the end, Bob should have really stepped up and provided more information BEFORE the time was taken to show up to only find out they would considerable short of previous offers. I am okay with hearing that a deal will not work, I understand the numbers completely and respect when someone advises it is a deal they cannot approve. I am not okay with talking a long trip for nothing.Saturdays are a busy day and I dont care to fill space and time in a dealership if they are not taking me seriously. I feel this group wasted my entire families time in getting us to show up to only advise they couldnt even match other offers I received.Mahwah Honda next time be forthcoming and do all consumers a favor and be honest if a deal is not something you can do before the effort is made to show up. Unfortunately this falls into a typical highway car dealership category and I was not impressed.

We visited several dealers in the Bergen County area today. Our last stop was Mahwah Honda, I will say that this will be our last stop for a long long time. We have 3 small children and the staff was very friendly throughout the entire sales process. Mahwah did give us the best price but it was an after thought after experiencing the level of service that we received. We were comfortable the whole time. We weren't pressured in any way shape or form. I appreciate the way they do business because it must come from the top down. I will recommend Joe to family and friends. Brought my car in for standard service which included having my tires rotated. When I got home, I realized the tires had not been rotated (I have a damaged rim and it was still on the front end of the car). When I contacted the service manager, he didn't believe me. He told me the person who preformed the service had been with them for years and won't do anything like that. I purchased my vehicle new from Mahwah in 2008 and had been taking it back to them for all service. Not anymore.I've since taken my car to Tenafly Honda. Want a difference!

I brought my car in for a vibration when I used my brakes. They cut my rotors and said the existing pads can stay on my vehicle. 2 weeks later my vehicle is making a noise when I brake and now I need all new pads and rotors. Not happy with the service department. I paid to have the rotors cut for apparently no reason.

He is very customer oriented, and knows the product line well, which was very important to us as we were looking for a different type of vehicle than a mini-van (which has been our primary family vehicle for 14 years), having moved into a new stage of life where are children are now grown. Harry was very helpful in guiding us in making the selection of a Honda Accord EX-L. This is the first sedan I have ever had as my primary vehicle, having driven 2-door coupes for virtually all of my adult life. I am extremely impressed with the car and not surprised that it has been a Car & Driver 10 Best selection for 25+ years. We unreservedly recommend Mahwah Honda in general and Harry Sha in particular!

My experience with my salesperson Harry Sha was an excellent one. He was recommended to me by my friend who had previously purchased from him. I had been to two other Honda dealers before and finally decided to give my business to him because I felt comfortable dealing with him and other personnels during the entire transaction. Harry is an extremely efficient sales person. He knew my needs and worked hard to achieve it for me-a quality I was looking for while purchasing a car. The finance person Mike was also helpful and pleasant. The entire process was professional and efficient. An absolutely wonderful experience at Mahwah Honda with my sales associate, Alex! This was my first time purchasing a Honda. All of my previous vehicles have been Chevrolets. Alex helped me find the best car at a perfect price! (2011 CR-V) I got to test drive the actual vehicle I leased, got it in the color I wanted, and was able to pick it up soon after signing the paperwork. Alex made sure the car was squeaky clean and sparkling the day I went to bring it home. Seeing what a great experience I had has prompted my mother to begin saving for her Honda, too, that she will definitely purchase from Alex at Mahwah Honda.

I called from work looking for a specific car and was given an appointment. i explained I was leaving work to come and was given an appt. After I was there and given a test drive in that car I was told it was already sold. He kept offering me other cars but would not bargain at all on price. He kept calling me after I left and asking if I was still interested and still would not bargain at all. I am not sure why he kept calling if he had nothing to offer. He was rude and not at all helpful. I wasted time leaving work and drove in someone elses car. I would have been upset if I put a deposit on a car and the car was still used for test drives. My last 2 vehicles were CRVs but after the service I was given by multiple dealerships (Mahwah was by far the worst)I have since bought a Toyota.

I was 9 months pregnant and needed a bigger and safer car. So I came across a 2005 Honda Pilot at Mahwah Honda. I went and test drove it. I loved it! but they seemed very pushy for me to go through them for a loan, trying to tell me my bank wouldn't give me a loan, but I told them I got one through my bank already. Low and behold, they keep pushing for me to go through them and they get me a lower interest. Awesome. But not even 2 weeks later, they call me back and it's a big hassle because the loan did not go through. So now what do I do with 2 lil boys and 1 lil boy on the way in 2 weeks?! I went to drive an hour all the way back down there to resign some papers (bc I renegotiated some things), but I started having contractions. well the finance guy lived up by me so he met me so I could resign. he told me to just sign where it was all highlighted. so I did. stupid move! because as it was getting hotter, I decided to turn the A/C on and little did I know, the A/C doesnt work! it was blowing heat! so I called them and they told me the warranty was over and they would do nothing. Harry Sha even stopped taking my calls and ignoring me. and stopped returning my calls. Nobody would help me! and my 3 boys, including my newborn, were all sweating in the back of my car bc Honda failed to do their job. So I had my mechanic look at it. Honda still had dye in the A/C lines from checking it. so they KNEW the Air wasn't working in the car, and they still failed to fix it! It is really sad the customer service skills these people at Mahwah Honda have! I was always taught to go above and beyond but they just know they can get away with whatever! disheartening! well I finally got them to look at it... they were going to charge me $170.00 to just look at it but I argued until they did it for free! then they called me back to tell me what was wrong with the AC & it needed a new rear AC line. it was normally a $730 job but they would fix it for $657.... ridiculous! they advertised A/C, I should HAVE A/C at no extra cost to me!!! and the sales team was making such a big stink about the warranty being over, but service told me that warranty they gave had nothing to do with the A/C anyway! they still wouldn't work with me and fix it like they should, so I had my guy fix it and for less than Honda was charging! but come to find out the re-signing of the new contact, they snuck in there the car was sold as it, when the 1st contract said warranty! and one of the spots I signed stated I had to go through Arbitration and couldn't take them to court in the matter anything happened! way to screw over a single mother of 3 boys Mahwah Honda! How do you all sleep at night?! I will not EVER go to Mahwah Honda EVER AGAIN! I am even going to write the BBB as well! stay far far far away from this dealership! they are sneaky, crooked and very selfish (only out for themselves)! it has only been one thing after the next with this dealership.

THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY WHEN YOU BUY BUT GO BACK WITH REPAIRS COVERED UNDER WARRENTY AND THE SCREW YOU GIVING A bs STORY I TOOK MY 2008 HONDA CIVIC W/ 19900 MILES BECAUSE THE a/c STOPPED WORKING AND THEY SAID A ROCK CAME UP AND BROKE THE LINE OK THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT WHERE THEY SAID IT BROKE U CAN'T GET TO IT ITS HIDDEN FROM UNDERNEATH CAR AND TOLD ME BY PHONE IT WOULD COST 450.00 I HAD TO FIX IT SO WHEN I GOT THERE THEY HAND ME A BILL FOR 550.00 I GOT VERY UPSET AND THEY DROPPED IT TO 200.00 BUT IT SHOULD BE COVERED SO THEY WILL BEND YOU OVER BE CAREFUL i have a complaint w/ the BBB and notified regional office for help against these crooks

I was assigned Justin by the sales manager (Jake). Justin was very patient with me: drove a Accord EX-4, then a V6 EX, then looked at probably every color combo before deciding on a black/ivory EX-L V6. Great lease price thanks to Jake and Justin! Paperwork was a breeze thanks to Michael! My new car was waiting for me in perfect condition right by the front entrance! Justin spent a long time with me showing and customizing the Accord's features. I can highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a Honda!

Our first stop was for touch up paint and second for routine service.Bought a friend's used low mileage '02 CRV and they had it serviced here so we went back. Price for oil change was as stated on the Internet coupon, some other items were noted for the next time.We have had many friends and relatives who bought and serviced their Honda here and we join them as part of the "Happy Honda" family. This is our first Honda and we are extremely happy with both the CRV and Mahwah Honda!Keep up the good work!

After three negative experiences with other Honda dealers (ex. not being able to locate the model Ridgeline that I had agreed to purchase) I called Mahwah Honda and got the best Internet pricing and the actual vehicle I was looking for. Joe in Internet sales was terrific. I called Joe on a Tuesday night and we made the deal before noon the very next day. There was no pressure and my salesman was very personable. I would absolutely recommend this dealership without hesitation.

This was my second purchase from Mahwah Honda. I had purchased a 2006 CR-V and now a 2010 Honda Pilot. The salesman was very helpful and they were able to give me what I thought was a good deal on my new purchase. So no problems there and the sales department is really the reason that I can recommend this dealer.The funny thing is that I considered a Honda in general and specifically from Mahwah Honda because of the excellent service experience I had with them.With my 06 CR-V I found that the rim on my spare had the finish worn off by the vinyl spare cover because it was missing a styrofoam cone that would have prevented the vinyl from contacting the rim. Mahwah Honda service replaced the spare and rim for me.So this time around with a 2010 Pilot I noticed a scuff on the rear bumper cover when picking it up. No problem, they put me in a loaner the next day and fix the scuff. The next week I noticed that the drivers side trim had come away from the door so I take it to them. They agree to fix it and put me in a loaner when I pick up the car someone used white glue on a maroon car to try and reattach it. Immediately Paul Eischen points out that it is unacceptable and that they would rectify it but would need time to order a replacement trim piece. One wonders it it was unacceptable why release it back to me the customer. I do regret not taking the glue off or making them take it off. The next crack at it had some clown try and re-stick the original trim piece over the glue after trying to take the no hardened glue off. I complained, they agreed to fix it. I had access to another car while they kept it to rectify the problem again. A month goes by with me having to call every week for status and when I picked it up again the problem looked like it was fixed now (hoo-ray). Paul said they canned someone for doing that and of course apologized. Iget in the car and it smells like the inside of a paint can. Paul said they had to take the old trim off, grind off the glue and attach a new trim piece and that the smell was from new clear coat. Fine, the next day I notice these grey foam pieces on the drivers seat and in the foot well and look to discover the foam baffle in the front drivers fender is crumbling. I take it back to service and they agree to replace the baffle but claim they can not smell the acetone smell that persists. Pauls response about the smell was to offer an air freshener? They were supposed to order the part and contact me but have not done this in 6 months now and of course no one knows about it when I take the car in for service. The car still has an acetone smell though not as strong. I think that when they did the door the last time the service person had the door open and allowed overspray from the clear coat repair to get in the cabin and both dissolved the foam baffle in the fender and left enough in the interior of the car that it now has this smell.You will probably get a good price for your new Honda from Mahwah but I hope you never need anything outside of oil changes because the service here is like health care in the US - don't get sick.

Finally got my car back, I decided to not let them install the door visors because of the Service department fiasco with my foglight install. The foglight install fiasco was not impressive to me, they BS'd the reason for the mess and I caught them red handed in a lie.The door visor kit cost me $140, with install, but you can buy this stuff online at BernardiHonda.com in Massachusettes for $70. Mahwah said they own me money since I installed my own door visors, but when I discovered a clip stolen from my hardware kit, the parts guy said he has to charge me $1.64 for the missing clip!THIS CAR SALES ORGANIZATION IS A MESS, THE SALES, SERVICE AND PARTS DEPARTMENT ARE BAD, THE ATTITUDE IS "MAHWAH HONDA COMES BEFORE THE CUSTOMER"DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!This is my very honest review.

Stating just the facts here, you can arrive at your own opinion.1. Test drove a new 2010 Insight and it was fine.2. Made the deal and picked out a silver one.3. Silver car was inspected and prepared, then presented to me.4. Drove about three feet and felt something wrong, went another three feet, and realized the footbrake was not releasing properly. They were hanging on for a few seconds after I expected the vehicle to move. Did not like this car and it already had 41 miles on it. I thought I bought a NEW car.5. Immediately went back inside where Joe suggested that the brakes needed to be "sprayed" with lubricant because the car has been sitting for a while.6. I simply refused this vehicle and we switched over to a gray Insight.7. This one only had 7 miles on it and was pristine.8. Waited till monday to pick it up and all was excellent. I had purchased the foglight option to be installed later.9. Foglight kit arrives and I leave the car with service, this is a free install.10. Service manager calls me later that day and tells me the foglights don't "work", that it's a bad switch or something. 11. I have to leave the car there until they sort out the problem.12. I go back there later that evening 8/19/2010, and see my car inside the service bay. The dashboard panels are removed and laying on the passenger seat and there are about four or five electrical connectors hanging from underneath. 13. I gave this car to them in pristine condition with just over 1000 problem free miles. It better come back that way...glitch free, 'cuz I just don't tolerate incompetence in a service department.14. It's going to be very difficult to make that first payment on a potential lemon due to the service department screwing up the electronics.15. My take on this is the mechanic made an error during the install and now they have to figure out where it went all wrong....Not very confident in there service department for these two events

I have leased two Hondas from this dealership and have had terrible experiences both times!The first time, with an Accord EXL, the salesperson changed terms of negotiations only once I was signing final paperwork, and getting the car that day had become a necessity for me where I couldn't wait and go to another dealership. It was 1-2 hours before closing on the last day of the month, so pricing and promotions would be changing the next day. If I hadn't been reading the lease agreement carefully, I wouldn't have noticed the extra $400 fee that had been inserted without my knowledge because it was never brought to my attention until I questioned it.This salesperson no longer works at the dealership.The second time, this July for a 2010 CR-V EXL, my salesperson was Larry Brinsky. As a young woman going in to the dealership without my husband, Mr. Brinsky would not listen to what I wanted, kept cutting me off, spoke to me in a condescending manner, and tried to push me towards buying an Accord.I put down a deposit for Mahwah Honda to locate a CR-V I wanted (their inventory is very small), with Mr. Brinsky promising me that I was under no obligation should we not be able to come to an agreement on terms. When I called him a couple days later with a better offer from DCH Paramus Honda, he became belligerent and started yelling at me (yes, actually yelling). I then told him I wanted my deposit back, and he refused. I asked to speak with a manager, and he told me no one was available. I probably should have pursued this legally, but I wasn't sure of my rights and just felt it would be too much of a hassle. My lease actually had pretty good terms, but I do not trust this dealership and will never work with them again.I only hope that my review will be a warning to others who expect this dealership to be courteous and trustworthy.

These guys were one of the best dealers I've ever dealt with in over 25 years. They were honest, straightforward, and absolutely got me the best price on a '10 Honda CRV. Would buy from them again without hesitation. Have not used their service dept, so can't comment on that.

After getting a price from another dealer in the area, I went online to see if I can do any better at another dealership. I emailed a few places and Mahwah got back to me within 10 minutes of me sending the email and they quoted me a much lower price than the original dealer. After some wheeling and dealing, I was able to save almost $1300 by going with Mahwah Honda. I can not recommend them highly enough. When you walk in you are instantly greeted by a friendly atmosphere. Anthony M was a pleasure to deal with, and if you are in the market for a new Honda, look no further than Mahwah Honda!!!
