I walked ontp the car lot to look at my used gmc 1500. I must say i had a great experience. I have purchased over a dozen vehicles in my life and without a doubt, Marquardt is by far the best experience! I worked with Tim Holloway. He is just great! Easy to work with, so friendly and not pushy at all. He really took the time to get to know me, my family, and what we needed in our next vehicle. The whole process was a breeze...they had all of the paperwork ready when we got there, we signed some papers and we were done. He showed us all about our new Enclave...gave us the full tour and then we were off. I am a customer for life, even though I, now live over 1,000 miles away in Texas!

Upon entering the dealership we were treated with prompt attention. We appreciated the concern for what we were looking for and not pushed into something else or different options. We purchased the acadia denali. Going thru the paperwork was quick and easy. We feel we paid a very fair price and received a very fair trade in amount. After looking around a for a new truck over the course of a few weeks I ended up at Marquardt of Barrington. Chris Williamson was easy to talk to and made the process smooth. He helped me find the perfect truck and we really enjoyed working with him. Working with Frank White was a pleasure as well. He explained all the numbers and answered every question we had. I wasn't rushed at all even though the dealership was closing shortly. After everything was done Chris took the time to go over all the features of my new truck after the dealership had closed. This was the best car buying experience I've every had and look forward to working with them again in the future.

My experience at Marquardt Of Barrington was AMAZING! I had recently been in an accident and my car was totaled which pushed me to buy a car sooner than expected. My first experience at Marquardt(after having the dealership recommended by a friend) was being greeted by the Manager and Brian Safstrom, fully knowing that I would not be buying a car that night. They were not pushy and gave me 100% of their time. They were understanding and helped me through some of the questions I had concerning the 2016 Lacrosse and the 2017 Lacrosse. Upon my return with a car decision, they both helped me to locate a car coming in with all the features I was looking for AND I was given a loaner until the car did come in. WOW! Brian kept me posted as to the status of my car through texts as well as hooked me up to an email that also gave me step by step information. About 3 weeks later my car arrived and it was a very smooth purchase. Brian spent over 2 hours with me making sure that I was comfortable in the car and knew enough to drive home:) I received an e-mail from Brian with an attached photo of myself with my new car and a thank you from him and the dealership when I got home. WOW!I LOVE my new car and I am very appreciative of the experience I had at Marquardt.

Walking into Marquardt, I was greeted by Brian Safstrom who listened to my "wishes" and quickly shared with me possible plans/available cars on the lot and those coming in. He took his time with me and made no question "dumb". After deciding on a 2017 Lacrosse, Brian and manager offered me a car to use until my car was delivered. Brian kept me posted as to the status of my car both emailing and texting me. His excitement for my purchase shown through:)Tonight I picked up my car. I was able to meet other people of the Marquardt dealership and was treated with the same respect. It was a seamless experience of LOTS of signatures:) Brian took the time to make sure I was comfortable during this process as well as spent HOURS going over with me all the features of my new car. AGAIN, no question was "dumb" and no question was unanswered. THANK YOU BRIAN!I will definitely recommend Marquardt to ALL.

I went in for a used Yukon XL Denali and left a week later with a nice deal on a new 2016. Deanna presented options, provided good answers to my questions, was professional, respectful of my time, and was not pushy at all in this process. She was thorough in the training and setup. My wife and I went to Marquardt of Barrington with our 2 used vehicles in order to trade them for 2 newer vehicles. The experience that we had was nothing short of phenomenal. Our sales person was Deanna Hattula, who went above and beyond to assist us in purchasing 2 newer used vehicles. We also dealt with Novi in finances, who worked everything out for us financially. We met with both brothers who are the owners of the business, who were both first class. When a delay in the bank loan slowed things down, Dan Marquardt had Deanna order some food for us. WOW! Troy Kent was fantastic also. The entire team worked hard to satisfy our needs. You can bet we will highly recommend Marquardt to any and all who are interested in a vehicle purchase. I could only list the one vehicle in the one purchased, but we also purchased a used Saab. Thank you all and may the Good Lord protect and bless you all!

Chris was awesome and very responsive. I made him work for this one as I was pretty sure I knew what I wanted. Chris and management had to pull this vehicle from another dealer and needed it almost same day for a GM promo going on. He stuck with it for about a month and a ahead before I was ready and he deserved the sale. I could have just gone to the other dealer who had the vehicle but the support and team at Marquardt were top notch. We agreed to a price and final #'s on the phone/text/email to make the actual of process of buying simple. This is where Frank comes in. I had told Chris and Frank to everything ready when I got there so it would be quick. Frank called , verified a few things, and had everything printed ready and all was correct. Quickest and easiest purchase I have done. So thanks all!

Marquardt provided really outstanding sales service. Christopher Williamson bent over backwards to make the experience of purchasing a vehicle a good one. He provided everything I asked, and I feel the final price and arrangements (like replacing a door trim piece) for the vehicle were just what I requested. When Chris wasn't in one day, another sales associate helped me for over an hour. Since I had to fit visits to Marquardt into my work schedule, I appreciated the sales staff's flexibility. I like what Marquardt offers in service and assistance going forward -- from what I experienced so far, I believe they will deliver!

I went to Marquart through the Costco auto program in search of a new Buick Cascada. I had contacted several other dealers who were unwilling to discount the car because of its limited availability. I met Chris Williamson, my sales rep, who was responsive, fair and handled the transaction, including the trade in of my existing vehicle, in a truly professional manner from start to finish....it took approximately 6 months to finally get the car in the color I wanted and Chris kept me advised throughout the entire process. Everyone I dealt with at Marquart was friendly and professional. I am pleased with the car and look forward to having it serviced at Marquart.

I had been searching for an Acadia at multiple dealerships and had no luck. Most I would never go back to. In one of my last efforts I went to marquart. Typically I walk out of dealership feeling a bit uneasy, but this experience was a completely different story. I have never bought anything other than a Toyota and been dealing with the location in Palatine for the past 10 year, but the friendliness of the staff and ease of buying at Marquardt was the best and I will never look back!!! They were able to work with me and I was able to get the vehicle I wanted to drive home. The 24 hour test drive was great perk and really allowed me to know what I was buying, it's just so much roomier than the rest and an adult can fit in back row(Highlander, Explorer, etc.) I definitely will be going back for my next purchase as well!!!! Novi and Jeff were nonaggressive, Carey was wonderful at front desk, and Frank was able to get me the financing I needed..

It was very good. Sales was not pushy, but around to answer any questions we had. the ability to properly demonstrate vehicle features was exceptional. There was water and soda available, and when the coffee was empty later in the evening, they immediately made some fresh. It was a very pleasant experience.

We came in looking for a dealer certified Enclave or Acadia. We test drove 4 cars and decided on a 2013 Acadia. The car wasn't on the lot because it was being used as a customer loaner car. Deanna offered to drive to the customers, switch out cars and drive the Acadia to our house so we wouldn't have to drive back to the dealership the next day for a test drive.

The best place to get a new or used vehicle. I bought a GMC truck ( used ) a few years back and was very happy with the way I was treated and with the vehicle. When I started looking for another vehicle I looked on the net and found a few Jeeps I liked. After narrowing down to 2 Jeeps I desided to go back to Marquardt a dealership I trust. Once again I was treated great and got the Jeep I wanted at a fair price. I will and have told everyone that's looking for a vehicle to go to Marquardt.

I have been looking for a 2015/2016 GMC Canyon or Sierra for about 2 months. When I drove by this dealership I pulled in bc I noticed a blk one from the road, the experience was unbelievable.Jeff came out to speak w me and it was all Top Notch moving forward. They held the vehicle for me for over 2 weeks until I could get back to finish the deal. The financing was also excellent, Frank had everything lined up and ready to roll. We were in and out in less then 45 minutes, most dealers keep you at the dealership for hours trying to sell you everything you don't need.. Did a lot of research for a new truck before stopping in at Marquardt, and I knew what vehicle and options I wanted. Met with Miguel Sanchez and he was very helpful in getting me the truck I wanted. Everyone from the salesman, to the sales manager, to the finance manager was so informative, nice, welcoming, and patient. I am a recent med school graduate and I bought my first vehicle here and the salesman really went out of his way to get me the exact vehicle that I wanted and made sure I got the best possible price. He kept me well updated on the vehicles he had available until he found the perfect match for what I asked for. It was also my first time financing anything really, and the finance manager was really patient and went through every detail with me. Overall, great dealer! No pressure, just a calm and relaxing atmosphere and purchasing process.

Very Happy! Was greeted by Matthew service advisor very personable and knowledgeable of my buick rendezvous. Told him why I was bringing car into be checked. He recommended a complete check of car and was surprised at what they found (not the real reason I brought car to be checked) needed to be done, but not all on the same day. It was helpful to me so I can plan on having the several problems taken care of at a later date. Very clean, bright dealership/waiting area, friendly staff. Would recommend to friend or family to have care serviced.

I've shopped around and did my homework. Ultimately pricing from dealer to dealer was very close if not the same. I had read some reviews that put this dealer in high regard, especially the staff. I decided to take a chance and was greatly impressed. Everyone there was very supportive, especially the salesman Chris Williamson. He really went out of his way to find the perfect vehicle for me while looking at savings options to keep costs low. Purchasing a new truck from him and Marquardt of Barrington was a very positive experience. My wife and I had a pleasant experience visiting the dealership recently. Chris, Frank and Eric made us feel welcome while answering all of our questions. We test drove a car with Chris as our salesman and navigator, then returned to the lot to speak with Frank about their policies concerning the financing of a used car. His explanations were to the point and easy to understand. Then we were introduced to Eric who ultimately made us an offer that was difficult to refuse. Ultimately, my wife and I decided there were some features in the car that didn't hold our interest, so we chose not to make the purchase based solely on this fact. I would recommend Marquardt Motors to anyone interested in their fine cars and tell them to look forward to meeting the fine, down to earth, folks who work there.

Everybody is so friendly here. We did not see the usual hurriedness that we see at other dealers. They gave us the required time to decide on what we need. Allowed us to do multiple test drives to get comfortable with the vehicle, always considered our need and budget situations. Even when we visited them after the sale was done for more help, Brian was very professional and friendly and helped us in each and every question we had. My first visit to Marquardt was on a Thursday night. I got to see a few SUVs and go for a test drive. There was no pressure put on me at all. I was given a first offer that was pretty good. I did more shopping online. I then did some negotiation over the phone with Brian Safstrom. I made him an offer over the phone and he called me back after talking with his Sales Manager and said "We can do that." I went back to Marquardt and my family came as well to see the Denali. I filled out paper work and we drove home in our new Denali XL. Overall the purchasing process was pretty quick.Brian Safstrom was great to deal with. Knowledgeable about the products, courteous, easy to communicate with. Again, nobody pressured us, I never felt in a hurry.

On my long search - which started at the Chicago Car Show - I had narrowed my decision to three vehicles. My last NEW car was purchased in the 1980's - my last several cars have been used. He gave me pricing information, trade-in value for my car, and all of the rebates I would be entitled to.The next time I talked to Jeff, I had made my decision. Had a specific vehicle featured online in mind before I came in from the city. Called, spoke with Lena and she quoted me the OTD price. When I arrived was greeted by everyone and given a test drive. Brian, my dealer was great. Friendly guy. Very professional. I made the decision to buy and had financing set to go but was delayed by 1 day. (My banks fault). My wife and I recently leased a GMC Acadia. Eric from the first email via online request for information was professional, personal, and efficient. Marquardt provided a higher level of car and customer service than the other two main dealerships in Barrington. We should know as we've purchased two cars from the other two main dealerships. Eric was quick to address my questions with detail, but never talked over my head. My wife bought her G6 from Marquardt back in 2008 and we had such a great experience we came back to buy my 2015 GMC Canyon. I'm pleased to say that the dealership has not changed. We couldn't have had a better experience from the moment I called them. Ray Linnemann was available by text or phone for all of my questions and always prompt with a reply. Frank White reviewed all the finance numbers and explained everything so I was comfortable with each form I was signing. My wife has used their service department several times on her G6 for minor fixes and routine maintenance. They have top notch customer service and wouldn't want to buy my next car/truck anywhere else. Oh, and the free car washes for my Canyon anytime are a huge bonus!

From the minute we walked into Marquardt and met our salesman, Novi Cammarata, we felt we were in good hands! Novi was very friendly and patient with us as we explored different options for our Acadia. There was absolutely never any pressure to buy. We had worked with Carey Lynch before at a previous dealership, and knew she would give us an honest evaluation on our trade-in. I had a great experience with Marquardt. Working with Jeff Schoeps and Cary Lynch was comfortable, easy, and I feel like I got a great deal on my Acadia. We also had some fun and laughs throughout the process. It was a very personal and friendly experience. This was by far the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. I really feel like they were working with me to make it a win/win. Even though I dragged the process out over a few weeks, and was still looking at other cars, they did not pressure me at all, or hound me like other dealerships did after I test drove a car. The treatment I got from other places, that made me feel like a piece of meat, just made me want to go back and buy from Marquardt, and I am glad I did. I also LOVE my Acadia! If only they could have sold me the Denali for the price of the SLT....LOL..I would have given them a 10 Star rating!

Went in on a Saturday and test drove two SUVs (research stage) with the intention to make a final decision by the following weekend. Brian listened to what we'd like and answered our questions confidently. Afterwards, we sat in Brian's office and we were provided with the pricing information I requested as well as the additional bonuses Marquardt provides as a dealership (door-to-door service, free car washes, etc). Troy (sales manager) asked if there was anything they could do to have me walk out of their dealership with a car today, I said no, we needed time to mull over our options and he simply said ok with a smile,and gave me his contact information to reach out "when I was ready". In short, Marquardt is an authority on their product, available when we needed them, and above all, great listeners. We ended up leasing the following Saturday. It was Memorial Day Weekend so they were a little backed up and everything took longer than anticipated. However, they kept updating us every step along the way so we weren't wondering and gave us a car to go get lunch while they got our car ready.

I have been looking for a newer model car with a few features which were lacking on my 2012 Buick Verano. I definitely needed a rear camera, warning lights on the rear view mirrors, I needed the car to be 'dog friendly.' I drove to Marquardt for an oil change and one of the Salesmen, Miguel Sanchez, approached me and very patiently went over the upgraded features on the 2015 Verano which I was looking at. As I was thinking of a vehicle with a higher sitting position and the 'feel' of a SUV, he offered me two test drives: one in the Encore (an overnight test trial), the other in a Denali which I drove home and back the next day without any pressure to purchase either model. I liked both of the cars I was shown; but having owned a Verano, I kept thinking perhaps I needed to test drive the newer model. It only took a drive once around the building and I was sold on it. Miguel answered many questions I had without wanting to be 'elsewhere.' Carey Lynch was present and gave me advice on leasing vs purchasing a vehicle because of my history of not wanting to maintain an aging car; and within minutes, she gave me prices to ponder! Then the leasing agent, Tim Holloway, explained the lease details in less than 10 minutes and answered a few questions that I was always curious about when leasing. There are many extra benefits besides the red licorice snack jars when you buy from this dealership. A valet service, free car washes, a specific amount of time for included 'maintenance' and 'oil changes,' and friendly, unhurried service department personnel!! Please stop in and visit this dealership! The waiting rooms on both levels are spotless and they have free sodas, TV, reading materials, and coffee!! I will definitely return to Marquardt for any further purchases and I know from experience the 'wait time' for routine work can be excessive in some dealerships. Yet, not here!! PS: Petsmart has a bucket and/or bench seat cover for your critter and the back seats in most models can be flattened for carrying a critter or a crate!!

If there IS such a thing as a good car buying experience, I had it. No pressure and no BS. The salesman Tim M was patient and helpful. It was the typical bickering over price and trade in value, but there was no BS and no pressure so we were able to meet somewhere near the middle and the deal was done. The sales Manager was pleasant to deal with and he wasn't pushy either. After spending some time in there and chatting with a handful of sales folks, it felt almost like I was just a guest at a friends family gathering. I visited Marquardt early on a Saturday to look at a new GMC Canyon, i met with Novi, and the sales manager who were both very knowledgable and up front with all the information I was looking for. After reviewing all options i chose to check one other dealer on a similar truck, and the minute I arrived at the other dealership, I immediately regretted ever leaving Marquardt. After being tossed around and waiting for answers, I called Novi from the lobby and finalized negotiations over the phone, promptly told the salesman who was still trying to negotiate a deal that I had made a mistake, and immediately returned to purchase my new truck from Marquardt. I research 5 AWD sedans of different makes and narrowed my choice to 2. Selected and custom ordered an AWD Regal, Premium II, Confidence 1 package. What a great car. Representative Novi Cammarata met me at the door on my 1st visit. He stayed with me throughout the process and followed the order from factory to delivery while keeping me informed. The service warranty, available concierge pick-up, free car wash, and available loaner cars made a good impression. But it was the mechanical technology of the car that I was shopping for. The AWD package on the Regal is tops.

My wife and I went down to Marquardt to drive an Acadia to just test it out. After driving it, I did not like it and mentioned I was interested in a Canyon. There were no Canyons on the lot, and Tim Holloway said he'd let me know when one that matched my specifications came in, and I could take it for an extended test drive. Tim found out what color and options I was interested in, and he tried to get one matching that for me to just test drive! However, he was unable to do so. Tim had a truck on order that matched what I wanted, and he kept me in the loop about when it would be coming in and how it was built, etc. The day it came in, Alexis from Customer Care called and set up a test drive with me. The best part is that Tim took the extra step of getting me a vehicle that I might actually want to buy so that I could drive the ONE I'd be buying. This may not have been the intent, but that's how I felt. I believe they went above and beyond before I even knew if I liked the truck or not! When it came down to it, the numbers were fair, they gave me a great deal, and Novi got us financing that was very low and beat a lot of those rate available at many banks. Great experience, great guys to work with, and very little pressure. Great place. Great people.

My wife and I heard about this dealership on KLOVE as a local business that supports their ministry. We checked out their selection online and found a car we liked. Thank you Tom Ostrow and Marquardt for working with us on our purchase of a used Buick Lacrosse. We started our search for our "new to us" vehicle with local dealerships in our area with little luck. I called Marquardt about the lacrosse I ended up purchasing and talked with Tom. Tom and the staff there gave us a detailed description of the vehicle prior to us making the trip (2.5 hours one way) so as not be surprised or let down by the condition of the vehicle on our arrival. Due to my wife's and my work schedules, and the drive to get to Marquardt, we were only able to make it to the dealership after 8pm to test drive and determine if we were going to purchase the vehicle. Dropped off a 2012 Terrain for service and was asked if an appraisal could be completed on the vehicle after service was completed. I gave them permission to do an appraisal and received the numbers that I had anticipated. I spoke with Tim McIntyre and told him that we were considering a used Acadia or something similar. He informed me at that time that he did not have anything in stock that was in my budget, but that he would keep me informed of anything that they take in. Three days later, I received a text message from Tim informing me that they would be taking a used Acadia in on trade at the end of the week. He also sent us a list of the options that this vehicle had, as well as a few blemishes that would be taken care of by the dealership if a deal was made. We drove the Acadia on Saturday morning, and asked if we could have some time to think about it while I went back to work for a short time. Troy Kent, the sales manager advised us that he would hold the vehicle until we came back with our decision. We decided to buy the Acadia. This is our 4th vehicle from this dealership. All of our deals have been done with Tim McIntyre. He is easy to work with, and always does what he says he will do.

My sole purpose for visiting this dealership was to purchase a used Chevrolet Avalanche. I worked with two other dealers in the previous two weeks and had become very discouraged with their customer service. From my first call to Marquardt and conversation with Ray, I knew this would be an entirely different experience. Ray was friendly, professional and made me feel valued as a person, and potential customer. He respected and valued my time. In all, I visited the dealership three times, the third time being to sign all the paperwork and pick up the truck. Each visit was delightful and totally stress free thanks to Ray's personal interest in answering my questions and making the experience positive.Frank, the Finance manager, asked me about needing a vehicle loan. My response was that my credit union had already approved my loan and I had a sense of loyalty to them. When I dropped the sales agreement off at my CU, I was told the length of the loan, and the rates would be different. I immediately called Frank and explained my new situation. He walked me through the credit application process and called me back within 10 minutes to let me know he had an approval and fantastic rate from one of his bank sources. Both of these men worked to make me a satisfied customer, and they did a great job. I will be recommending this dealer to anyone that is looking for a car or truck. It really was like the experiences I recall from over 20 years ago. Thanks for restoring my faith.

Dealt mostly with my salesman over the phone. I was able to negotiate a fair price before I drove 3 hours to test drive and purchase the vehicle. Only complaint was a finance guy named frank who was an aragont xxx when I told him I would be using my own financing from my local credit union whom I've been with many years and getting 1 % less interest his response was, "what's that like a couple dollars a month? We set an appointment with Tim McIntyre to discuss the trade of our 2011 Enclave in on a new 2015 Enclave. Tim was very professional and knowledgeable. He met with us promptly at our appointed time. He listened carefully to what we wanted and the price we had in mind. We looked at the showroom Enclave and took a test drive. Tim found the exact Enclave with the features that we wanted. We were treated fairly with our trade in. Tim put together a fair no haggle deal for the price we had in mind. He called and told us when our new Enclave was at Marquardt. We met at a prompt appointed time to pick up our new Enclave. Everything went exactly as Tim explained. John, sorry do not remember his last name, in the Business Mgr office was prepared and we quickly signed and finalized our purchase. Tim then led us on a tour of the Marquardt dealership. We were on our way in our new Enclave in less than an hour and a half. Our new car purchase from Marquardt was a very pleasurable experience. This was our 7th new Buick purchased since 1992 and our first at Marquardt. This was by far our best new Buick purchase.

Bravo to Carey, Novi and Tim. Carey and Novi were no pressure sales people who didn't care about my many questions. Novi brought an Enclave out to us in Highland Park and let us use it for a weekend. We decided we loved the car but not the color, and they offered to bring us another color, just to see it. Finally when I did make it out to the dealership with my trade, Carey held true on all our discussed deal and even got me some more money off. They are the best!!!! I emailed about a glk350 -Lena Campos emailed back to see if I was serious which I thought was odd. I emailed back to say I was serious. Then she asked when I would be come in for a test drive. What a joke of staff this place has! Called them early Monday morning (9 AM) to inquire about a car they had listed on their website. Grumpy lady answers and connects me to sales guy name Brian. I asked him 3 very easy questions (1. Does the car have rear-seat entertainment package with DVD, 2. Is it AWD, 3. Would they do a trade in for my Nissan Altima?). The questions obviously being too hard to answer, he says he will go check the car out right away and also talk with his manger. 3 hours later, I still haven't heard anything, so I call them again, and Brian says he's been too busy to check and promise to check for me and get back to me shortly. Whole day passes, no answer! 2 days passes and still no call back... About to call them for a 3rd time, but hang up before they picked up and went to a dealer down the road and got my Buick Enclave instead. Meanwhile the car I inquired about is still listed on their website!

My wife and I recently purchased a certified pre-owned Buick Enclave and had a great experience. Marquardt worked with us on the price (which was already reasonable), and our dealer was direct and prompt and countering our offers. We were not kept waiting for long periods of time while he "talked" with his manager. When Troy came back with his counteroffer, it included a breakdown of the taxes, title, and other items that would ultimately determine the final price (which was nice, so that I didn't have to do that math in my head as we discussed the base sale price). Moreover, once we agreed on price, there was no hard sell to add items we didn't want (e.g., "Truecoat" sealant, etc.). Even with respect to the extended warranty options, we reviewed them briefly, and when i declined them, there was no hard push to get me to reconsider. Troy and the other staff members were friendly, personable, direct, and professional. I very much enjoyed the experience, and Troy and Marquardt will be my first choice when I am in the market for another Buick or GMC. We live in Chicago, and it was certainly worth the trip out to Barrington.

Needed, wanted a new car and dreaded the process! Read reviews, did the Edmunds thing and followed up with dealers. The team at Marquardt, and they are a team, stood out. They didn't pressure me, encouraged me to talk to other dealers and drive other cars and always answered my questions respectfully and honestly. When I decided on a car, the Encore, they encouraged me to take it home for 24 hours to make sure this was the one. Kudos to Novi and Troy for their patience and lack of pressure and Carey and Frank for making this a minimally painful process from start to finish. I love my car and I look forward to going back for service and car washes and saying hi to the team. There's a Buick dealer in my backyard, but the team at Marquardt made the extra drive worth it both financially and peace of mind. As an example, Troy spent 45 minutes with me, in the car, making sure I knew how to operate all the gadgets and gizmos and was comfortable doing so, before I was able to drive my Encore home and then made sure I had his info to call him with any questions. I came in feeling a bit tentative and left confident and know I wouldn't want to shop at another dealer.

Dealership was great. Vehicle was finished when they said it would be done and the staff was incedibly courteous. Only complaint is that the vehicle is only 3 years old and required major work took 3 days to complete). For the amount of money I spent on the vehicle, I did not expect these types of problems so early in the vehicles life. Certainly will give me some pause replacing it with another GM vehicle.

The service department was unable to finish the work in one day, but they called me early enough to give me status and let me know not to pick-up my car that day. I appreciate the fact that they didn't wait until I showed up at the service department to pick up my car. I like having the service department go through a recap of the service performed. IT gives me confidence that all the service was cared for.

I came in for an oil change on my 2010 Lacrosse and ended up deciding to buy a 2014 Lacrosse. I have always been very satisfied with my Buick and the service provided at your dealership. The service dept is great and I feel confident with anything they may recommend. Everyone has always been very friendly at the dealership. Novi was my sales person with this purchase. He was very friendly and personable, attentive, patient, easy to talk to and work with. He followed up and kept me informed. I left with my new car feeling very comfortable with everything he showed and explained to me about my new car. I also feel that I could come in if I needed additional help with any of the features of this car if necessary without worrying that I was being a bother. Upset over being told all fluids needed to be flushed a YEAR PAST "due" date. Have only had vehicle for 10 months; I feel this should have been done prior to vehicle being sold. I'm not expecting it to be free, but feel this should have been performed prior to sale. At very least, we should have been informed at time of purchase. Hence, I cannot give "excellent" rating, which I normally would have.

I originally came in for an oil change. I thought it was great that the service representative took me out to meet the mechanic (Scott?) to show me a problem with some transmission leaking from the lines. The mechanic was very professional explained what should be done, how to do it, and answered my questions. After I decided to get the work done he said, "thank you for bringing your vehical to Marquargt, we'll take good care of your vehical". It sounded sincere and you can tell he was very passionate to what he does. It made me feel like my truck was in good hands.

Tom Ostrow who sold me my car and did the leg work finding it in Madison WI was outstanding. He know the Buick products specifically the Lacrosse! He was easy to work with ahd spent easily over an hour showing me EVERYTHING concerning this car. He is extremely personable. I was at two other dealers and it was because of Tom's hard work and knowledge that I bought your car. Troy Kent also help out the day; picked up my new car. Your training method was deeply appreciated by me. First Tom sat in the drivers seat and ran through all the programing necessary. After this Tom had me come in and finish paying for my car and explaining the protective coat finish and extended warranty. After this Troy sat in the passenger's seat and he had me run through the programming to make sure I understood what Tom said earlier. This was an outstanding training two part training session. I am a library director who ran a 4M operation so I know a bit about training and communications. Your method is perfect. If you didn't split up the two sessions, I know I would have been exhausted and the 2nd part with Troy would not have gone as smoothly as it did. Plus having a different person made it easier on both Troy and me. The change of pace enhanced my training and acquiring the knowledge I needed! A triple A plus on new car training! This was our 3rd purchase in less than 14 months. Our first purchase was in December 2012. We took a recommendation from a coworker and met Tim McIntyre. He was patient and very knowledgable about the differences between model years on the GMC Terrain. After 2 weeks and looking at a few different vehicles, we decided to go with a new terrain. Tim took the time to give us a very detailed delivery. He answered all of our questions, and has made himself available many times since, to answer questions and follow up with us. yesterdayThis past January, I was in the market for a pickup. I called Tim to see what was available. A few days later we signed the paperwork on a used Sierra. Again, the patience and knowledge from Tim continued our confidence with Marquardt. Three weeks after our purchase, the truck was totaled in an accident. I called Marquardt to request Tim's assistance in locating another truck. He was out of the office that day, but the next day he called me as soon as he walked in the dealership. I explained what had happened and his main concern was on the health and well being of everyone involved in the accident rather than a potential sale. Later in the conversation he asked what he could do as far as finding a replacement vehicle. Tim called back a couple days later and told me that he would hate to lose my business, but the best option to provide me with what I had before the accident was at another dealership. I did tons of research and made several calls over a two week period. In the end I decided to go with a new Sierra from Marquardt. Again Tim's knowledge and laid back way of doing business helped sway my decision. On delivery, Frank White in the finance office was also very helpful. When we came in to sign the paperwork on the new truck, he told us that he had already taken care of the paperwork from our first truck. He used the money that was due back to us from insurance/warranties on the first truck as a down payment on the second truck. Again Tim gave us a thorough delivery, answering any questions and we drove away happy customers, again. The kindness, patience, and professionalism that we have experienced every time we have been in Marquardt has proven that their dealership is committed to customer satisfaction. We would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from Tim McIntyre at Marquardt, because we have had three wonderful experiences in such a short time.

Lack of communication. Mislead on information as to where our second Yukon was . Sales person would not admit that car was still in transit upon our questions as to where the vehicle was. It was not until we pressed the issed was it stated that the vehicle was not on site and would not be at the dealer until mid afternoon of the day we were to close the deal. We felt this information should have been communicated to us well in advance of us driving to the dealership to finalize our transaction.

Tim Holloway took the time to check out vehicles for lease in my budget. Went thru the options with me and gave recommendations though in the end it was my decision. I called from my Car on Monday, had a flat and spoke with Matthew in Service. I said could you please help me with my spare, he said yes when I got their they would be more than happy to help me. I filled up with air at our office, but the slice was in the side wall, got nerves only 5 miles away. I appreciated that I received an email that my car was due for an oil change and that I could easily schedule an appointment online through that email. However, when I got to the dealer there was no record of me scheduling an appointment online even though I received a confirmation email. I had scheduled it a week prior so the system surely would have updated in that time. My appointment was still honored but the comment to me by Doug that "the phone works well to make appointments too" was a bit frustrating. Don't send me an email reminder with the chance to schedule online if you expect me to call as well.

The traction control and ABS systems caution lights came on during a recent road trip. Since we were already on our way home from Buffalo Grove, we decided to stop at Marquardt and ask your service dept to check it out. Your service rep (Matt) had Steve run a series of diagnostics. Just came in for an oil change. I was due for tire rotation, had that done. I was having some issues with OnStar. We ran into Ray and told him so he went over to the car and talked with on star and got it all corrected. He took it for a short drive after asking for directions and it is now working fine. I received an email about the 1st Monday of the month information regarding all the things on the car that I am afraid to touch, not knowing what they are. I didn't get to the January one due to the bad weather, maybe the Feb one will be better weather. Everyone is always very helpful, always have a good experience at Marquardt.

The positive battery cable clip on my 2008 Lacrosse Super had some green colored substance built up on it. My service adviser told me the technician said the battery was cracked near the + post, and advised replacing the battery. Fortunately your parts department had the battery in stock. The tech replaced the battery and cleaned the cable clip, in less than an hour. Well done and thanks guys!!!

We purchased our new GMC Explorer conversion van from Marquardt. Of the dozen or so vehicles I have purchased over the years, the buying experircce at Marquardt was by far the best. All staff we met were friendly and went out of their way to make my wife, our disabled daughter, and I feel welcome and appreciated. Our salesman, Tim McIntyre, was exceptional. He made us feel like family, not customers. Even our dealings with the business office, which at most dealers can be painful, was in all honesty an enjoyable experience. Frank White was exceptional and as a result we purchased an extended from him. We would rate everything about our buying experience at Marquardt an A+.We were also introduced to both the service manager and parts manager who also made it clear they were there to help if help was needed. We will definately be bring not only our new van to Marquardt for servive but also our other vehicle as well.

Marquardt of Barrington did a very good job working on my vehicle and found a GM policy to get my timing chain fixed. They found other issues with my vehicle that were covered by my extended warranty but for whatever reason they didn't inspect any other areas of my vehicle to see if they could take care of those as well. They deducted my diagnostic that I paid another dealer for me, but I was still out of pocket $100 between both dealers and I didn't get everything that's wrong with my vehicle repaired. They were very nice, very professional and accommodating but it seems like they missed the last step of just checking out the whole vehicle. Now I need to make another appointment and go back and pay another deductable. They also should have asked me if I wanted to upgrade the basic oil supply to a decent supply of synthetic mobile one. Overall, very good job but not excellent.

Excellent service offered to your customers, I would probably not drive from South Elgin to South Barrington for an oil change, but this service far exceeds our expectations of great customer service.

They explained how long the work would take, set us up with a nice loaner car, and called us to tell us the car was ready and all the was done - and the car was waiting for us when we came to pick it up - and everything was covered under warantee as well. Excellent!!

I am very pleased with my experience buying a truck from Miguel, who is very calm, helpful and really listens. As my husband does not like to shop, Miguel offered that I take the car home overnight to show him, and that was the extra mile that made this purchase work for us. Our experience buying our new Buick Encore started on a Friday night. My wife and I went to Marquardt so I can show her the Buick Encore because she was considering 2 other CUVs and I heard good things about the Encore (we both had test driven a Hyundai Tuscon). We met Miguel, who greeted us, and I pointed to the Encore on the showroom floor and said, "We're here to test drive a Buick Encore." After looking it over, Miguel said they have another one on the lot but if we wanted to drive this one, he'll take it outside. I said, "Since it's raining, we'll drive the one you have out already, no need to dirty up this one." So we did and my wife and I really saw the difference in ride, how smooth and quiet it was. We went back to the dealership and they evaluated our "trade-in." Being that it was late, we went home and came back on Saturday morning to complete the transaction. We bought the one on the showroom floor, which we drove first before making the final decision. Being that we had an obligation on Saturday afternoon, we made arrangements to pick up the new Encore on Tuesday evening. The whole experience at Marquardt was pleasant. I met the Service Manager, Lino Villardito, who is really a nice, personable man. I brought my Chevrolet Tahoe in for a Transmission flush/fill SERVICE just yesterday because of how nice he was and because of the cleanliness of the service department. That whole experience was even more pleasant. I also met Dan Marquardt while there. Marquardt will be getting my business from now on. This is the way a car-buying experience should be. If you're looking to buy a Buick or GMC vehicle, Marquardt is the dealership you need to visit. See Miguel - a really nice and personable man!

This was an amazing experience. From the first hello to the follow up calls, it was working with genuine people that really cared and listened to what we needed and wanted. Miquel heard our needs and wants and was able to show us a different vehicle then what we original were looking at. That vehicle turned out to be the vehicle for us!! Miquel really took the time with us and put the vehicles side by side to go over with us in great detail the comparisons of the vehicles. Matt Marquardt also took the time to listen to us and our needs. It was wonderful that he lent us the vehicle overnight to really get a feel for the vehicle. That really made a difference. Frank White also went out of his way to help us with financing to make sure we were able to get the vehicle we wanted at a price that we were comfortable with. He was great at going over the details so we understood the financing and warranty and just really took the time with us. We also appreciate that Frank ordered lunch for the family so that we could stay and focus on finishing up with papers. The kids were hungry and we were ready to go grab something but Frank heard our concerns and stepped up and ordered us some lunch. Thank you Marquardt Dealership for everything. We enjoyed every minute of the experience and look forward to the lifetime relationship.

We came to the dealership not holding our breath as all the other vehicles we had looked at were sold out from under us. Troy approached me in the lot and was very friendly and helpful. We felll in love with the Rendezvous right away. Troy did not pressure us at all. It was a relief to work with someone who had our best interests in mind. The financing aspect was very comfortable too. They were willing to work with us and when we told them what dollar amount we needed to be within to walk out the door, no questions were asked and the deal was done. Just before we were getting ready to sign the papers my husband had made the comment that he had been up since 4 a.m. and was exhausted and wanted to go home. They told us we would be out of there and done signing the papers within 30 minutes. Within 27 minutes, we were back in the showroom and saying our "thank you's" and "good byes." They certainly had empathy for the fact that we were a hard working family and had a very long day. We would refer everyone we know to Troy and Marquardt for their vehicle purchases either new or used. They were hassle free and had a very comfortable family feel to them. It was very refreshing. I am completely in love with my new vehicle and have not had any second doubts about purchasing the vehicle. Thank you for making car buying such a wonderful and comfortable experience!!!!

I met Miguel when I bought my buick at Marquardt about 10 years ago. I traded in an old caddy but was underwater in my payments. Miguel suggested gap insurance, explaining that my insurance would paly for the car but not for the overage in financing. I bought gap insurance for $300.00 on a 7,000 dollar overage. A year later my car was stolen in downtown Chicago and my insurance paid for my car and gap insurance paid me the $7000.00 . Since that time I have bought 5 cars from Miguel and have never been disappointed in his knowledge and friendliness. My last car is the new Buick Encore purchased in Aug. of 2013. I am extremely happy with this small SUV , 4cylinder, and mileage approaching 28 mpg. The turning ratio is very tight and it has higher seats for my wife who has trouble getting in and out of cars. I am 77 years old and if there is a 6th car, it will be purchased through Marquardt and Miguell. Thanks for your good service also. Ed Schwartz.

This time we were purchasing a used vehicle with salesman Tom Ostrow; he couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. He spent so much time going over the operating details of the car ( all the dashboard electronics are so intimidating) that I didn't feel the need to immediately read the manual. My overall experience at this dealer was great. This was my first experience buying from a car dealership. I found a car that would fit my needs online and emailed the the dealer. Tom Ostrow responed back to me very quickly. I went to the dealer late because of my work schedule and saw the vehicle that I came to see. Tom was very helpful and very patient with me and my fiance. He did not rush or pressure us into anything. We it being late into the night I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to get any deal done but Tom and the rest of the team their made sure they did everything in their power to help us buy our first vehicle togethet. This salesman has gone past my expectations for service. In October, I purchased a GMC Terrain, and soon found out that it was not the car for me. The other contender was a Buick LaCrosse. I felt that, since my huband and I are both handicapped to some degree, the Terrain would be the easiet car to get into and out of. However, never having driven an SUV, I soon found out that there were other features that would have made this a great purchase for us 10 years ago, when we were yoounger and traveled more, but not so great now.Upon a call from Tom to see how we liked our new vehicle, my husband stated that we didn't like it at all. It was not long after that, that Tom called us to tell us that the White Diamond LaCrosse was still available. Wanting us to be happy with our purchase, we were able to change cars, and to drive away with the car of my dreams. I never imagined that a salesman would go to such lengths for his customer. I can't thank him enough for his concerrn and kindness. I plan to purchase all further vehicles from him, and will recommend Marquardt and it's staff to all of my friends who are looking to purchase a new car. This is the highest compliment I can give--if I were a single woman looking to buy a car, I could deal with Tom with perfect confidence and trust. We stopped at Marquardt after receiving a recommendation from a coworker. A quick internet search revealed that they had a used GMC Terrain that we were interested in. Unfortunately the used Terrain was sold prior to our arrival, but Tim McIntyre showed us a new Terrain and explained some of the differences that we would see in a used Terrain. Over the next two weeks Tim stayed in contact with us but never hounded us. He kept us up to date on some of the used Terrains that were coming in on the lot. In the end we decided to go with a new 2012, but there was never any pressure from Tim at any time. On the day of delivery, the paperwork was mostly complete when we arrived in the office. We are very happy with this purchase. I would highly recommend stopping by Marquardt's and speaking to Tim McIntyre if you desire a laid back way of buying a car.

I have been in several dealerships over the years and Marquardt is by far the best. The sales staff does not pressure you to buy like most dealerships. I purchased my vehicle from Tim McIntyre and found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful. When in for maintenance, I found the service dept was just as good. They do not try to oversell anything. When I went to purchase a bigger vehicle for my job, I dreaded it! You all know the service people all the normal car dealerships...It was SO not like that at Marquardt. The service was wonderful! Miguel Sanchez is the best. He found us the car we wanted while other dealers only wanted to shove what was on their lot down our throats. I want what I want, period. Miguel did explain that the inventory of 2011 LaCrosse's in the color we wanted was practically nonexistant, BUT he would try. The truth and a good try beats a "No, take this" any day of the week.It took a week and a few close calls, but we did end up getting the car from a dealer almost 300 miles away.Thanks to Miguel, Dave the manager and Tim the Leasing manager. We love our LaCrosse and will recommend Marquardt to everyone.

My husband and I had been looking for a GMC Acadia Denali and visited a few GMC dealers in the NW Suburban area. We live in Crystal Lake and don't mind driving a little ways to get good treatment and fair pricing. Our visits to the Crystal Lake, Elgin, McHenry and Arlington Heights dealers had ended in disappontment. We met a few nice people, but didn't get the deal or treatment we wanted. It always fell apart somewhere along the way. We're not psyco-shoppers, but we do like to spend our money where we are treated well and get a fair shake. We spent our hard earned dollars at Marquardt and recommend the experience to anybody that can drive there. Like some of the other reviews say, it IS a nice clean place, modern and well-lit. If you've been to some of the other dealers, this place looks like a spaceship! Ask for Jay Davis, he has lots of car knowledge and will take the time (as much as you want, believe me!) to explain everything about the cars. He went over the specifics of the deal and the vehicle in every detail. I feel we were treated honestly and fairly, with no "man behind the curtain" tricks. I should mention that our "service" experience to date is only an oil change, but I was greeted warmly it eas a nice visit.

We bought a used Toyota from the dealer. We got a great price and were able to negotiate it lower, even though the price was already well below what they could have charged. We also got a very good trade-in value after some negotiation. One of the smoother car purchases we've had. Tom, our salesman, was professional, friendly, and patient with us, as we visited the dealer twice and inpected the SUV very thoroughly before negotiating. They had fixed some minor scratches in the paint between our first and second visits and it looked like new. Dave Marquardt came in to finish the trade-in negotiation and was friendly and easy to work with. Frank in business was also friendly and not pushy. It was nice to be at a dealer that values customer service like this one. We love our SUV! We recommend Marquardt of Barrington!

They treat you well and there sales and service areas are clean and have an upstairs and downstairs waiting room...go upstairs for the massage chair, large windows, kids area or just to sit on the couch and watch tv. I bought a used gm certified vehicle from this dealership. The vehicle had some damage that the dealer did not disclose, I think they were hoping we didn't notice it before we purchased the car. They agreed to repair the damage as a condition of the sale. They tried to basically patch up the damage at the cheapest cost instead of properly repairing the damage. It has been nothing but a nightmare and not worth the hassle. Will never do business with this place again!!!
