I was looking for a new car and I stopped by Massey Hyundai in Hagerstown. Salesman Jeffrey Mcilwain did an excellent job of finding the car I was looking for. Massey has hundreds of cars and we looked at most of them, but Jeffrey found the right car. He thoroughly explained all the features on the car and negotiated a great deal. Eric did a good job of explaining the financial aspects of the trade.

Chuck McCann is a fantastic asset to the car buying team! From the moment I called on the phone to the time he handed us the keys to go home, he was honest and open about every step of the process. We did not feel pressured to buy the car, nor did we feel like it was not the right car for us. I'd asked Chuck to pick an Elantra for me to test drive and he picked the perfect one! We are so glad we came to Massey that day. We love our new car!

I have many years of car buying experience. My last two purchases from Massey and Sales Consultant, Mike Middledorf, have been the most professional of my career. Mike is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient Consultant. I would recommend his service to any new or repeating customer. My appreciation also to the Financial Representative, Eric Witter, who efficiently steered me through the financial aspects of the transaction. I would be remiss in not complimenting the Service Department although my purpose of this visit was to purchase. Service has been excellent over the ten years of my relationship. The entire staff of the department has always exceeded my expectations.

Massey Hyundai was my husband and I's first dealership we visited as we were wanting to purchase a new car. The entire car purchase experience was hassle free and actually a very pleasant experience. Our salesman Scott, was friendly and explained everything to us about the car we were looking for. He answered all of our questions and we felt very comfortable in speaking to him about our auto needs. In a few years if we choose to purchase another new vehicle, we will definitely visit Massey Hyundai again and would have no problem in recommending this dealership to our friends and family.

Mr. David Claycomb was a fantastic person and a wonderful Sales Consultant. I have never purchased any vehicle and drove it away as fast as I did when I purchased my 2014 Hyundai Accent GLS. He was professional in every sense of the word. He offered refreshments in a most gracious manner. He also has a funny sense of humor. He was very helpful in all phases of the sales process. He is to be commended for being such a nice person and great Sales Consultant.

I contacted them online chat asking about a car told them about my credit and I got a call mins later saying let's pull your credit we have options for anyone then they pull it and come back with god high numbers and saying I never told them what was on my credit here someone else runs the online char and never told them anything I said so I had someone pull my credit to lower my score when I should have known it wasn't the same person they were asking 1000 over Kelly and nada for the car which I said in the char I didn't want to pay that much well of course they ran it for what it said cause the chat didn't mean anything

My sales person, Winchester, went above and beyond to get me in the car that I really wanted. He remained courteous and attentive during the entire process. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a Hyundai at Massey.

Hello, I bought my 2013 Sonata a year ago and loved the experience. The salesman was so nice and knowledgeable and was not pushy at all. My recent experience with Massey was with their service department. My remote start had stopped working -- the fan not coming on until I inserted the key. I had taken my car in and they needed to talk to Hyundai Technical Support due to it wasn't a common issue. At first there was a small issue with getting a phone call back but in the long run Matt in the service department made sure that I got my car fixed and oil changed and they detailed my car which I absolutely appreciated so much. Rose was the person who made sure I had a loaner car and kept me updated. She was fantastic and very professional. I used to get my oil changes closer to my home -- I live in WV -- but because of the wonderful treatment I received -- I am getting all my service done at Massey and I do intend to get my next Sonata there. I went to the dealership with the intent on purchasing a particular 2014 Hyundai Elantra. My wife and I were immediately greeted by salesman Winchester. He was very professional, answered all of our questions, and was never pushy or too forward regarding the potential sale. After a test drive and mulling over the vehicle, we decided we didn't like the color. We also had to leave the dealership for another engagement. Winchester was understanding and maintained contact with us finding another Elantra with the same features and a color more suitable for us. I feel he went above and beyond to help us. We returned and liked the car Winchester suggested to us. There were no games or haggling over price and trade-in value, the car buying process was easy, and everyone was polite and professional. The facilities were clean and accommodating for customers both in the sales and service departments. My wife and I were very pleased with the entire car buying experience and would refer Massey Hyundai and salesman Winchester to others. I researched multiple vehicles and traded in a Toyota Corolla, I choose Hyundai and so far have been very pleased with my 2014 Hyundai Elantra Limited.

We do not like playing the car sales game of price haggling. We knew what we wanted, we knew the price range it should be, and we didn't want to engage in the "normal" car sales dance that takes hours. Our salesman listened, read us correctly and shortened the process to an acceptable period. Spending that much money should not be the painful process that so many car salesmen seem to expect it to be. We did not want to play that game.

Just Purchased a 2013 Elantra Limited from Massey. Doug Potter was our salesman he did an outstanding job. Test Drove at 5 dealerships today and By far Doug was the most knowledgeable and helpful salesman we encountered. The buying experience was pleasant. I can be demanding when it comes to price and interest rates. The process remained friendly and respectful the entire time. Thank you Doug. Matt G.

I went there in October to buy a new car. They had what they called a pre-owned 2012 Sonata. Very nice car on the outside. 6 months later I find out it was in a bad accident. The previous owner then traded it in. Not at Massey' s as i was told. Scott Sword not claims they did not know anything abou the wreck. Really you purchase a used car for your lot from another dealer and did not run a carfax.or could tell from al lthe new parts in the engine compartment or the paint job. We did and I find out it was badly damaged. Now not wanting to own someone else's problems I have to get rid of it. Do not buy from them. One lie after another.

Made it worth a 2nd trip

So after I wrote the last review, Matt Whetzel called me to go over what happened. I told him our whole experience out there and I could tell he was out to make it up to us. Matt assured us he would fix the reason why we didn't buy the car on our first trip. We made all the arrangements over the phone with Matt and Chris Gaston. Matt actually did more than he said he would. Chris and Josh Ambush took care of us when we got there with all the paperwork and made it the BEST dealership experience I have ever had. On our way to leaving, John was putting our tag on and actually showed us a lot of how all the gadgets and bluetooth works. He helped us set it up and linked our phones to the car. All the guys, Matt, Chris, Josh, and John were all great and we thank you so much for all the hard work and helping us. That is what is supposed to be like at a dealership. I'm dissapointed our first trip wasn't what we were expexting, but they definately made it worth the second trip.

So after talking with the salesman Rob back and forth for 3 or 4 days, my wife and I decided we would the 2 hour trip out there to buy this car. The car was certified and was made to believe that it was in almost new condition because of their extensive inspection process. Now I admit that I can pick cars apart because of working on cars for 15 years, but I was aware that this was a used car and they are never perfect. I was told that the tires are "practicly new" and that it was in top notch condition. Rob was great on the phone with answering all my questions, but when I got there in person, that's where the good customer service ends. When I got there, I noticed several scratches around the car which is to be expected from a used car but I was led to believe the car was cleaner than it actually was. The " practicly new tires" had a few months left in them and maybe barely passed their extensive inspection. I told Rob I would purchase the car for the agreed price if they would put new tires on the car. He said there was no way that was going to happen. No customer service about working with us on the price or doing anything about the tire situation. We walked around the lot to cool down for a while ( wife was definately upset as was I ), I went back in and talked to the manager and I got that it was just "bad communication". Well think about the customers whether they drive 20 mins or 2 hours to come pay cash for a vehicle. POOR customer service at best. So we drove 2 hours back home with no car and having to wait to write this review. I'm sure Joe Schmo would have bout the car no questions asked, but when I'm paying cash for a 2012 Sonata, it better be what I was told it was. Thanks for that waste of time and gas ( since it's so cheap these days)

MASSEY HYUNDAI- DO NOT BUY HERE!! RUN AWAY! I purchased a 2008 Jeep Compass from Massey on Friday, October 26,2012. On the way to work the following day, something happened inside the transmission that caused major damage. After the sun was up, I looked at what I could, and called ERIC HOPKINS, my salesman; who told me to bring it back to be checked over. I drove the vehicle back into the dealership and dropped it off on Saturday, October 27. LESS THAN 24 hours after purchase. After numerous phone calls, I was informed that they WOULD NOT WARRANTY vehicle, stating I was doing burnouts or something and ruined the transmission ( Matt Wetzell). Trying to use the chain of command at the dealership, I was informed by the owner FAITH MASSEY, that they indeed WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY, and to get that vehicle off the lot.

I have purchased 5 Hyundai vehicles from Massey since May 2011. We have had a great experience each time. 2011 Elantra Limited, 2011 Sonata, 2012 Accent, 2012 Sonata and 2013 Elantra Limited. Robert Wiesman in sales and Sam in the finance office were great when I wanted to replace both 2011 vehicles. Matt and Randy in service were great when the 2011's needed routine service and when my kid's 2012 Accent had an ouchie, 5 days post sale :( Matt and Randy helped in getting it fixed quickly to minimize inconvenience. I will definately be back when it is time for another vehicle. Oh and we LOVE Hyundai for the style and value of each of our cars.

My wife had recently had an accident that left our 2nd vehicle totaled out and we needed to find a used vehicle quickly that was going to be dependable, yet not cost a lot of money due to budget constraints. The salesman, Anthony, was outstanding. He didn't pressure us at all to look at cars outside of our price range or needs, and was very helpful with answering any questions we had. He also helped us make an excellent deal on the car we ended up purchasing. It was the best car buying experience I had and I am very likely to be a repeat customer in the future.
