We purchased the extended warranty when we bought our Buick Enclave. Recently our AC was not working, so I set up an appointment and told James in the service department that it is under the extended warranty. He told us until it is diagnosed, not to worry about the warranty. Once it was diagnosed, I had to remind the service department that I wanted them to check to see if it was covered under the extended warranty. Since it was not cleared through the warranty company initially, we had to wait a few days. James was very thorough and I truly feel "went to bat" for us making sure everything would be covered. It was however a week and a half before I received my car back. A rental car was only offered for 2 days with a max of $35 per day. Obviously, that doesn't take care of much. I received no updates on the status, and each time I called the service dept., I was told I had to talk to James. I would think this day in age, the data system should allow other service dept. employees to look at the information and give me an update. Another service dept male employee seemed irritated that I needed an update without James having to call me back. I finally received my car back on a Thursday ( I was told Wednesday afternoon that they needed to keep it one more day so they could turn it on again the next day, double checking the system). I waited until Thursday late afternoon, and told them I could turn the AC switch on myself, and I just needed my car back! Upon receiving my car, the floor mat was covered with an extreme amount of gravel, and it looked like it had been washed, but the soap was not rinsed off. I was super disappointed. Although I was extremely thankful services were covered, I was also disappointed with the overall process Why sell an extended warranty when the warranty company doesn't want to back the owner, or cover car rental expenses. Overall service since the time we've purchased the car has been slow and not very congenial. Updates have been poor. I started writing a poor review, however did receive an email from you earlier in the week requesting an unsatisfactory service situation prior to doing so. Hopefully the information above gives you an idea of my frustration

UPDATE; Joe Peterson the service manager contacted me about my displeasure with how my fix of my third stop light went. He wanted to correct the situation, and he did. I took my vehicle back in. It took a couple of days, they wanted to get it right. They did. I am pleased with how this turned out, very professional work. Thank You to Joe and his staff for fixing this. I would give this five stars if it would have worked this well the first time. I had a leak in my third stop light while under warranty. It was fixed but the workmanship was of poor quality. I took it back nothing was done. then after the warranty expired it started to leak again. I took it in. They fixed it again and made it look worse then before. They said bring it in and they would fix it. I did they had my car for seven hours. Nothing really changed the scratches were not fixed and the work did not look like a professional mechanic had done the work. I am beyond disappointed! I will not use McCarthy again!!

We had a roadside emergency with our vehicle while we were six hours from home. We called McCarthy and they told us to come right in. We made it to their shop, they scanned our vehicle, found a part locally and has us back on the road in a few hours. They even dropped us off at the local shopping area while we waited. Excellent customer service and experience!

I happened by the Mc Carthy dealership, just to cruse thru to see what they had in their inventory.I had been looking for a Ford Edge, or a Lincoln MKX. A new 2016 GMC Terrain caught my eye, so I stopped to look at it, and BOOMER (a car salesman) came out to greet me we talked awhile, and I decided to take the Terrain for a test ride. After the ride I asked to have my Edge appraised.When the results came back, they were giving me almost $1000 more than what the trade in price I found on the computer. I did some dealing on the Terrain, and got the price down to where I was satisified, and I drove home in a brand new GMC Terrian.The salesman (Boomer) was great to deal with, as with the closer, And everyone else.I am very happy with McCarthy auto world. I was extremely impressed with the level of service I received at McCarthy Auto World! After seeing a Yukon online I wanted to make sure it was still there and received a quick response from John saying it was still available. I went in a few days later to go look at it and John was extremely helpful with absolutely everything! I test drove it and knew right away I wanted that car. John helped get a few things fixed so I could drive it home! Thank you so much John! I had been to a different dealer a few weeks prior and the service doesn't even compare (the sales guy tried to let me buy a car that was already being sold) and I really appreciated the fact that I didn't feel pressured to make a purchase right away. I tell everyone to go to McCarthy when they ask where I got it. I love my Yukon, thank you!

My recent shopping experience at McCarthy Autoworld was outstanding. I have bought a lot of new cars over the years and I think this was the most hassle free experience of my life. I found the truck I wanted online and made an appointment to test drive the new Yukon and to have my trade-in appraised. The new truck was washed and ready in front of the dealership when I arrived. While we were out on the test drive my trade-in was appraised. I decided to buy the Yukon and the entire experience, test drive, appraisal, purchase and sign the paper work took about 45 minutes. Sally Thelen was a pleasure to work with.

I felt that Danny listened to my concerns and addressed these while my car was in the shop. He even went as far as to research and have information available for the service technician on the issue. While the car was in the shop they also addressed the safety recall on the lift gate and this was supposed to be taken care. However, upon inspection it doesn't appear that any parts were replaced even though the service ticket suggested so. I will need to follow up again with the dealership to make sure this safety recall was handle properly.

We were going to wait for the car while it was being serviced and walk over to the nearby restaurant to wait. They offered to drive us over to the restaurant and pick us up when we were done eating. Drove 3 hours to see a car the salesman said was very clean and good body. Looked at the car and small dents over rear wheel well. The hood of the mercury Milan was repainted by a beginner painter, had dust under paint, had to have an accident at one time. Will not buy a used car from this dealer or any other.

We purchased a certified pre owned vehicle from McCarthy Auto World. Within a week of purchase we had to bring it back. The brakes had frozen, the stereo had a major short and we found a few other small things. The car wasn't spotless either. After the repairs were made, we had a number of other failures that required extensive shop time. We have met with Sally (the salesperson), the sales manager and the GM multiple times and would like to return the car and purchase a comparable one. Although we've test driven a few other vehicles, each time we've said we would like to purchase, they've stated the vehicle was no longer available. They were already sold while we were test driving them! The only vehicle they could offer us as comparable over the past seven months was an electric blue Buick. Nope. We still own a vehicle that we don't trust and will probably disintegrate the second the warranty expires. This is an unethical dealership, which should not sell certified, pre-owned products.

I went to McCarthy auto world to purchase a jeep liberty, I filled out my application and was approved for the jeep, with the payments I wanted, I had to drive a distant, and asked several times, if they needed anything else, I was told it was a go, They told me all was approved, and to come up that evening. I was expecting to drive home with the new jeep. When I got there, the finance person put the numbers in wrong and the payments were a lot higher. He,gave me several excuses, I would not recommend this dealership. And its to bad my son was going to purchase a truck soon. Not happy

The problem with my car was intermittent. I came for service once and of course when I shut the car off and they turned it back on it worked. I took it back a second time without an appointment because it was not working again. I did not shut the car off and they were able to get someone to look at it right away and diagnose the problem. They had to order a part and I set up an appointment for a couple of days later. Took it in, waited for the car, works like a charm. Everyone was polite and professional. They did an excellent job!!

Fastest, easiest vehicle purchase I've ever made. They had all the paperwork done and ready to sign before I even got the things from my glove box out of the old truck. Grand total time spent after calling to check stock was about 30 min. Sally was super friendly and easy to deal with.

When I dropped off my key Thursday evening, the service manager (forgot his name) informed me that the service department was booked through Wednesday. Imagine my joy when James Spates phoned me at my job on Friday morning with the diagnosis of the issues I had! I can't thank you enough for having my car ready for me when I left work that day. I doubt I waited any more than 20 minutes and am so relieved to have my car functioning at an optimal level again. The folks at McCarthy Auto world in Coon Rapids are awesome, and the customer service that I received by everyone working that day was quite professional and friendly.

From the begining starting with emails/texts, then phone calls to finally actually meeting Sally Thelen our experience has been beyond excellent. The service was good but when it comes to the shop not having the part for my truck and then the mention of charging me another service fee ($90) to open up my door again to install the part since they didn't have it in inventory (this part is a wear item so to me this would be one to have in inventory), I am not a happy customer. I understand that the truck is new but to charge me another service fee (they did offer it at a reduced rate) because you do not have a part in stock is ridiculous to me. This is my second GMC truck and this has tarnished my view of the dealer network.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sally and found her to be very knowledgeable and professional. I also appreciate her patience as she "demonstrated" the features of the car before I drove off. There are dealerships much closer to my home, but Sally was the only person from any dealership who kept in touch with me and followed up on a consistent, but non-intrusive way. Carmen was delightful to work with as well and got me a great interest rate on my car loan. The dealership is always a pleasure to work with, but I was bothered by how long my simple service appointment took - oil change, tire rotation and a new battery install took 2 1/2 hours - that might've been okay if I was a walk in but I purposely booked the earliest appointment of the day a week in advance to try to get in and out ahead of the daily rush. No explanation was offered as to why it took so long - 60 to 90 minutes is the average for my previous routine service appointments, which I find absolutely acceptable.

When my husband emailed Boomer to let him know I was interested in trading my Kia Sorento for a Buick Regal, Boomer told us to come on in, and he would make it happen (and he did)! DEALERSHIP FINALLY GAVE ME HALF MY REFUND FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO DIAGNOIS MY 2003 ENVOY.sHUOLD HAVE GIVEN A FULL REFUND.Marc wiess reports they have the best mechanics in the city,but service dept. couldn't figure out why my vehicle intermittedly wouldn't start after replacing several parts and get the same result.After having my car there on and off for 1 1/2 months I couldn't take it any more. I went online to a online mechanic and this guy Gary told me to go check the under the hood fuse box and to pull starter relay and spread the prongs apart so it would be a tighter fit into the female.I was told to clean doth cables from battery to fuse box and clean grounds on side of fender.After all that was done my vehicle has been starting with no concerns.Macarthy auto world failed and they don't want to admit that they indeed failed and they don't have the best mechanics in the city.Like the online guy told me any good mechanic would check the power source to make sure all electrical conections are clean and not dirty like mine was.

I was very disapointed with the service.I took my car to be diagnosed because of problem with ignition.After being told what was wrong with my vehicle (replace ignition wire 59.00)I called dealer after getting message to call.At that time I okayed dealership to fix my car.I called back in about 15 minutes to ask Amy if I had to get new keys,that is when she said (oh,I was just going to call you to tell you your car is done.That was only 15 minutes after I okayed dealership to fix my car.I was charged 79.00 dollars for diagnois,and 1.2 hours for labor and 59.00 for a wire.But the funny thing about it is that my car is doing the same thing it was doing when I took it in on Wednesday evening.Saturday morning getting ready to go to my church picnic that I sponsor every year,my car would not start,After trying several times and turning steering wheel and moving tilt up and down my car finally started.These are the same symptoms I told service advisor.She also admitted that the car did not start for her or who ever serviced my vehicle and determined it was a wire.My car did not start several time on Saturday and I will wait and see what tommorrow brings.My car was not fixed and I was charged.I understand you guys charge the rate for labor even if it only takes 10 minutes,and that is not fair.I want my car diagnoised properly and fix.I don't intend to pay more money.You guys are thePROFESSIONALS this should have never happened.Did anyone ever check starter solenoid,and who determined it was a wire.I'm not happy thats why I come to the dealer of GMC verses going to some shade tree mechanic.You guys are the professionals. I will be in bright and early Monday morning 7/14/14 if my car starts to get this problen and concern handled.This is a terrible dealership.Reason why is after they missed diagnoised my vehicle and told me they will fix it at no charge.Then turn around the female service advisor then say she never said they would fix my car at no charge.This was after I retured my car and ask for a refund for a job they did not complete.

Overall very pleasant experience. Two pieces of critique would be: #1 just received a recall notification on the vehicle that we took possession of on Tuesday...wishing the recall could have been taken care of prior to our taking it home since the recall was sent out on 6/26. #2 Carmen made a couple of pretty rude comments to us regarding our decision to not purchase extended warranty through dealership...not appreciated nor was it perceived by us as professional.

Pleasant personalities when dropping off and picking up vehicle. Nice to have Car wash. The only one thing is just realized from previous visit where tires were rotated and balanced the caps to the tires are stripped and really a pain to get off now. Would have been nice to replace versus leaving on the stripped tire stem caps that were not that way before. This is the only thing I have noticed otherwise, very professional and a delight to deal with. I would recommend. Prices also seem fair on services.

Brought my car in because it went into reduced engine speed a short distance from dealership. They thought they could look at my car right away but after about an hour they offered for a shuttle driver to take me home and they would call me with what they found. My wife and I purchased a new Buick Enclave from Sally Yozamp at McCarthy Auto World in Coon Rapids. Sally is an EXCELLENT sales person, and we continue to go to her for all of our automotive needs. We did, however, have a "rattle" in the car as soon as we drove it off the lot and returned it twice to have the noise repaired. Both Sally and Scott, the Service Manager at McCarthy's, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I was given a car to drive while ours was being serviced and I was called when the car had been serviced. After two days, both Scott and Sally called to ask me if the noise had been taken care of. It had, and I've had no trouble since.Both my wife and I love the Enclave and we've shared our positive experience with several other people. Marc Weis, the manager of the dealership, has done an excellent job working with his employees, and his leadership shines through everyone associated with the business. We are WELL PLEASED!

Dealership had vehicle for 10 hours and said they had the problem with my stabilitrack fixed only for the same problem to happen again 3 days later. I also went to dealer and had to wait for about 20 minutes to pay for the service that didnt work because no one knew how to run a credit card. This dealership has a long way to go in the customer service arena.

Experienced problems with 2010 Terrain with transmission leak and timing chain. I was disappointed, at 54,000 miles I had had zero problems with the vehicle, in fact the braeks are even original. The service staff told me not to worry, GMC was aware of the issues and the repairs would be totally taekn care of under warranty and they had improved the parts to prevent a reoccurence. The car was fixed and on the road the next day. The professionalism, courtesy, and quality of both GMC products, and specifcally, Wally McCarthy staff is why I bought there and will go back. Thanks guys!

My experience started with a call to see if GMC could help me with the need for special seating for my husband. I was lucky to be connected to Stephen Ziegler who made my hopes come true. He said he would look into it and get back to me. The next day he called and had the helpful information. I was able to show my husband on the internet what this special seat looked like. We then proceeded to see what car might be the right choice. Steve made it all possible! Along with the help of the finance people, Carmen and Rick, we are now able to get out and make small trips that has freed my husband from being a prisoner in our home. The gals at the front desk are not the most helpful, appear to be there just for the paycheck. Salesman made up the difference some. He was helpful, polite and knew details of the vehicle I purchased. Went above and beyond to assist with the purchase. The finance lady was the best. Patient, down to earth. She knows exactly what she is doing and very informative. They both stayed late to complete the purchase after closing which was appreciated. After the sale, I returned home and two days later my service seatbelt light came on Saturday evening. Also realized the passengers seat did not work (it was electric)I called first thing on Monday morning - left a message with sales person. He did not get back to me and I needed to make a second call. They stated they could fix the seatbelt issue but the seat is not covered in their 30 day policy - why don't you purchase the extended warranty and we'll split the cost with you. I appreciate the fact of them splitting it with me, however I do not think I should have had to fix either one of them being I had just purchased the vehicle. Being out of state it made the most sense to purchase the warranty in case anything else goes wrong so I can bring it to any GM dealer near me. Over all. I would shop here again but would clarify prior to purchasing how many days after the sale of what they would cover should anything go wrong.

I have been doing business with a different dealership for mant years but not anymore. My salesman Bill Heiss was great. He took the time to show me different opitions for what I was looking for and didnt pressure me into buying anything not like other dealers and this indeed took me by surprise. They also Gave me fair market value for my trade and didnt try and low ball me, also a supprise. The wonderful lady in finance made it so easy and painless that I would have taken a truck that needed to be towed out LOL. I look forward to having my truck serviced here and would and will refer anybody to them. THANKS AGAIN!!!

I stopped in to "look" at a Buick Regal, took one for a test drive with Mel, he was so patient with me, made me very relaxed. I didn't feel any pressure. I fell in love with the Buick Verano on the showroom floor as it was beautiful. The numbers all fell in line!!! YAY I left with a NEW car!!

Well..I show up for an alignment and get the answer that "we can't do an alignment because your inner tie rods are loose." I say ok, give me my vehicle back and I will return to get it done. After going home and checking the rods myself I come to the conclusion that they are not bad. I also called a friend of mine that is a GM tech to come over and check them. He said they were fine and that there is no reason as to why they should have said they were loose. So with that said I didn't replace anything and brought it back to them. Upon returning I was asked by the service associate if I replaced them, I said yes, (but I didn't). He said we will take care of you. So after an hour and a half of waiting the service guy comes out and says you are good to go. I pay $70 and leave expecting my vehicle to be aligned. Well........that was not the case. There is no reason I should be going down highway 10 and have my steering wheel 15 degrees to the left going straight. Even on a right hand curve on the interstate my wheel is still turned to the left. The interesting thing here is that they told me my inner tie rods were loose and that they could not do the alignment and that I bring it back without doing anything to it and they supposedly aligned it. Obviously there was nothing wrong with my rods and to be honest I don't think they aligned it since they charged $70 and I needed all three adjustments (Camber, Caster and toe) done. This place is a rip off. Every time I go there they say something is wrong with my vehicle even though I am not bringing it there for that problem. Plus when I got back the invoice for the supposed work done the odometer reading on the paperwork was more than 100,000 miles off. Nice way to tell a customer that the work isn't warrantied anymore if something went wrong due to miles.

Friendly, personable, knowledgeable and fair. Had difficulties with prior purchase of a used car. They helped me resolve it quite satisfactorily. I am now the proud owner of a new 2013 Buick Verano. This is a fantastic car!! Loads of upgrades. Techies and non-techies will enjoy the features. The techy stuff is very user-friendly. As for the staff, they are all a terrific resource. John and Sally have actually called me to ascertain if I still like the car. They also said to contact them, if I have any issues or questions. WOW!

My experience began on the internet on Thursday night, July 12, 2012. Our conversation was continued the next day as it was closing time on Thursday. After speaking with John and telling him what I was looking for, he found it and gave me the best price on the new truck that I had received in various other dealer quotes. He had to trade for the truck, so it took a few days. After receiving the truck, I came out to look at it and it was what I was looking for, so I bought it. I purchased a used vehicle from McCarthy Auto World for my brother, who flew in from Colorado to pick up the vehicle and subsequently drive it back to Colorado, where he lives. Prior to my brother picking up the vehicle, I drove it around town, just to make sure everything was okay. Long story short, the check engine light came on so back to McCarthy's I went. This happened a few more times, each time, McCarthy's apologized to me and said they would continue to work on it until they "got it right" and "correct the problem". It was now time for my brother to drive the vehicle back to Colorado. Unfortunately, a couple days after he returned, that darned check engine light came on again. He called Mark, the manager at McCarthy's. Mark told him to take the vehicle to a local GM dealer and to have that dealer contact him. Mark from McCarthy Auto World went beyond what I think any other car dealer would do. He stood by the used vehicle his dealership sold to us and paid for the needed repairs (and they were not cheap). I drive a Subaru (which I love) and I told both Mark and my salesman "Boomer", that if McCarthy's sold Subaru's I would definitely purchase my next one from them.

I was ready to purchase CASH in hand on a used car of $10k+The Coon Rapids AutoWorld has to be the worse dealership i have felt with over the past 30years and 17 prior dealership purchases.folks, find somewhere else to spend your money.The good old days of Wally & WCCO are long gone, they have now ran this poor excuse of a dealership into the ground.The used car manger Olson/Olsen? is a real tool, talks to customers, belittling & condescending.My only wish is the GM would have failed and would have taken this dealership with them.When Wally was running the company, it was much improved, to bad his son was silver-spoon fed and did not learn how to treat potential customers OR fails to have those with direct contact trained properly.

Brough my car in for service. Was quoted nearly $3000 for various repairs. Declined service and paid the $150 diagnoctic fee. Took my car to a different mechanic, who told me half the repairs McCarthy mechanics told me were vital were not necessary (including the repairs indicated by the $150 diagnostic). New mechanic did repairs for about $600.

McCarthy Auto World is a great place to buy car. I've purchased two there since 1998. Sally Yozamp makes the car-buying experience very comfortable and satisfying. I got a great deal on the exact car I wanted. Will definitely buy from Sally and McCarthy in the future. Service department is very good, too.

First time in for service. Charged us for diagnosis that was not done. More worried about the money than the customers request. On December 7, 2010, I brought my vehicle to McCarthys Service Department to have the Transfer Case Control Module replaced and programmed. I also brought the GM Service Bulletin #02-04-21-006E to show this needed to be completed. Prior to my visit, I read the Bulletin and checked for codes on my 2002 GMC Envoy and found the code C0550. I determined the vehicle needed a Transfer Case Control Module and reprogramming because of the sentence on the second page of the bulletin that says For 2002 model year, the TCCM must be replaced and reprogrammed.On December 8 2010, Doug left a voicemail indicating his best technician diagnosed the problem and referenced the bulletin. The TCCM needs to be replaced and reprogrammed. Since this is what I already told Doug when I brought the vehicle in, I questioned the diagnosis charge. As a result of the conversation with Doug it was obvious I was going to incur a diagnosis charge of $125.10. I did not let them replace the TCCM I gave a bad rating because I feel ripped off for $125 There was no diagnosis needed

This was the 6th vehicle I purchased from this dealership, and the 2nd since it became McCarthy Auto World. The last experience I had was a little shaky, but I attribute that to the ownership changing hands right before I purchased my 2008 Sierra. This time around, I purchased a 2011 Sierra 2500, and Mike (Boomer) Anderson was the sales guy that helped me. I guess Boomer has been there for over 15 years. Anyway, he was absolutely great to work with. Attention to detail was excellent, and he followed up several times to make sure I was happy with my new truck. I should have used this sales guy all along, as he is clearly their best sales person. He is definitely customer-focused. The general manager, Mark Weis, was also great to work with. We had to order my truck this time around, and that process actually went very smooth. Bottom line is this was a very good experience, and I had excellent service. Price was great, too. You have to ask for Boomer, though. That's the only sales guy I will use from now on.

I bought a new 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD from this dealer a couple years ago. In fact, it was my 5th new vehicle in 5 years purchased from this same dealer. My experience with this vehicle has been less than positive. I have had this truck in for warranty work twice (both power door locks failed, one at a time), and 2 recalls. On the last service visit, they returned my vehicle to me completely full of water spots. They ran it through the wash, and never dried it. Not a huge deal, but irritating. I called the service guy about it, and then emailed some pictures of the truck to him. They were very apologetic. Fine. No harm no foul. My suggestion to the dealer is either fix your car wash so it doesn't leave big white water spots, or simply do not offer to wash my car. Otherwise, the service visit was good. They were not able to find a solution to the transmission problem, but after a lot of research, it sounds like more of a design and engineering issue than a defect on this specific vehicle. They did offer to set up another service visit to take the truck on an extended drive in order to diagnose the problem further. I decided to trade the vehicle in instead. Problem solved.

I bought a 2001 Suburban from John Gosewich at McCarthy Autoworld. We have had major problems from the second we got in to drive away. McCarthy Autoworld could care less. My wife and six children were with when we drove off just before the dealership closed. The Battery warning light came on and we made it about 30 miles when the engine stopped. Of course, there were thunderstorms closing in (we later found out Tornadoes as well) and we were stuck. The Alternator was bad and after getting a couple of jump starts we were able to make it to a parts store and replace it. Which I did myself with some borrowed tools from OReilly parts store. I called our saleman John G. right away and he said they would cover the cost. A few more phone calls (and days/weeks) he offered to pay half of the $200.00 it cost for the alternator. I wasn't very happy with that and he told me to send the reciept and he would take care of it. Needless to say nothing happened. Funny thing is, John always started the Suburban when we looked at it and there was also a brand new battery in it. The battery carrier was even left in the rear storage area. Its been two months now and no money. We have also had the ignition cylinder and switch replaced because the security light was flashing and sometimes the car wouldn't start, $550.00. The dealer mechanic also says the intake manifold is leaking which would cost another $850.00, The fog lights didn't work, some of the turn signals had bad bulbs, the center console latch wouldn't latch, and the rear seat latch was broken. This dealership doesn't care what they sell you and you can't believe what they say. Sad for a major dealor to act like this. My advice, take your business to a dealer that values your business, even after you have signed the paperwork. Never again. Hopefully GM will cut this dealership soon.Ben B.

I called John on the phone after finding the Yukon XL on carsoup. We talked about pricing and he assured me that he would be able to negotiate! I explained my situtation that I needed to buy a vehicle that day and that it was a long way for me to drive so I needed to make sure he was willing to work with me! He did everything as promised! I had to return to the dealer because one of the employees who ran my car through the car wash did something that caused some chips on the vehicle. Again as promised I was given a car to drive while they fixed the chips! I was also promised to have the license plates put on and headsets for the DVD player at the same time! I had a great experience and would recommend my family and friends to John for a the best value and car buying experience!!!!!

I purchased a 2006 Gmc Denali in mid April, once the sales portion was closed they could not get me out of there quick enough. The vehicle was to come with a navigational Cd, but they did not have one left, John my sales person said he would get me one, still on July 1st 2009 I do not have the Navigational Cd yet after a couple of calls. I will contact the BBB soon, I would not recommend this dealer to anyone, based on there customer service performance.

I buy a new vehicle every year, and the last 5 have been purchased from this dealership. Up until 6 months ago, this dealership was Thomas Auto Mall. This review is strictly about McCarthy Auto World, who acquired this dealership 6 months ago. Overall, the entire sales experience this time was a bit disappointing. From the time I walked into the dealership, to the time I got helped, was at least 5 minutes. The sales guy that helped me (John Gosewich) was pleasant, but did not seem to want to spend any time with me. He threw the keys to me for a test drive, and said I could take it for a drive myself, as they were very busy. I didn't really see too many customers in there at the time. Anyway, the day my vehicle was supposed to be ready for pickup, John called me and said the bed liner dealer did not install the liner per my specs, so they were sending it back. Ok. No problem. Mistakes happen. He said it would be ready to pick up the next day. Well the next day came, and I heard nothing from John. I called the dealer late in the afternoon, and asked for John. It turns out it was his day off. He did not tell me that, nor did he tell me who would be helping me. I ended up getting one of his co-workers to chase down my truck. When I picked it up, that guy was very nice. However, he did not insure the owner's manuals were in the truck. Their sales checklist includes a step that they are supposed to review the owner's manual with the customer. They did not, and I had to drive back a week later to get owner's manuals. Then it turns out the truck was supposed to come with an adapter for the hitch, to reduce the receiver from 2.5 inches to 2 inches. It took at least 5 calls over 1.5 months, and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in order to get this rectified. Sadly, it took 2 calls AFTER the BBB complaint for them to get the part to me. In addition, they never mailed my license plates to me like they said they would. Update 9/5/10: After having a lot of problems with this vehicle, I decided to trade it in in September 2010. I spoke to Mark Weis, who is still the general manager of the dealership. He apologized for the initial experience I had, and went out of the way to get me a good deal on a new truck. His explanation for the disorganization I experienced in April 2008 was due to them opening up the dealership about 2 weeks earlier (it was shut down for a period of time before Wally McCarthy purchased it). He said they did a lot of re-training of their sales staff in order to avoid incidents like this again. My experience this time around (so far) has been very positive. The sales guy, Boomer, has been very helpful in getting me the truck I wanted. He seems much more organized than previous sales people, and much more customer-oriented. From my perspective, one of the goals of these reviews should be to learn from your mistakes, and improve service. This dealership has obviously done that, so I would not hesitate to recommend them.
