When I was looking for a vehicle about a year ago these guys exhausted every option on me and got me in what they could. Told me give it a year, come back we'll put you in a brand new Hyundai. A year later. Came back Dj took us all around the lot pulling every car we wanted to see and we've got a brand new 2016 sonata. Excellent service. Friendly staff. They want what's best for their customers. Five stars.

Was shown a 2017 Elantra while my 2014 Elantra was in for an oil change. Took a test drive and then offered a very good trade in for my current car. No pressure, just a presentation. The 2017 is a Limited as was my 2014 with a more up to date standard package. A very good experience with great results.

I have never had such personal service when I was looking for a new car. I was definitely impressed . I am not sure of the last names of the main people I was working with but my salesman is in my cell phone as Tony Hyuandi (Robertson) in case I need further instruction.. the man in charge was I believe Brian. He was very eager to do his job well as well as please me, his customer. The young man who cleaned up the cars was also very personable. Amanda in the collision center was wonderful. I have nothing but praise for Mccarthy Hyuandi very very different from my previous experience with Shawnee Mission Hyuandi. I will never go back there.

Last year, while visiting the McCarthy dealership for service of our Azera, I sought out information on a Genesis on display on the showroom floor. My husband was truly interested in the car. That morning Mr. Rodney Sutherlin spent time showing me the Genesis and its features. He then took time to take me on a test drive, explaining and demonstrating all the safety and luxury features of the Genesis. As I was not in the car buying market, which he knew, he left me with a very good background of the car. This year, while looking for a new car and interested in cars available with front wheel drive capabilities, Mr. Sutherlin was available in the showroom. He was asked by a new salesperson for information on the Genesis we were looking at, then mentioned, "Genesis is all-wheel drive in the 2017 model." Magic words for me! I was sold on the 2017 Genesis and he was the salesperson for us right there and then.

My pickey demands were met 100% .This was my third purchase since 07 and my advice is to at least visit DJ once or you will be cheating yourself of the quality experience you've been searching for in a car and a feeling of a partnership with a class act salesperson!!!

Jason Bosley was a great sales person. Very helpful. Beware of the paperwork and read everything. Don't let them rush you during the paperwork signing. There was an undefined charge on the paperwork. It was listed as N/A and I found it the next day while reviewing the papers. The dealership was closing and they wanted to get home that night and I felt like everything was going well. I did not read everything as it was being explained to me and that was my fault. I should have just come back the next day and not been rushed. This is the only complaint I have. Salesman was fantastic, past experience with the service department was great. Dealership is very friendly and I have bought here before and will again.

We knew going in exactly which vehicle we wanted, and Blue Springs Hyundai had the exact vehicle in the right color on site. The paperwork took a little longer than I would have liked, however the staff made the wait far less tedious. MCCarthy personnel did a great job working on the price and getting us a great deal on our trade in. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend McCarthy Hyundai to my friends.

The overall experience was excellent. The facility is clean and all the staff were helpful in directing me to a sales rep. I had an idea of what I wanted and the salesman found that vehicle in a color I liked. We test drove it right away and were able to close the deal and drive it home that same afternoon in a matter of a couple hours. The only wait was for the car to be detailed and my license plates switched over.

Our recent purchase of a new car with the McCarthy dealership was by far the best we have ever experienced when buying a vehicle . We were not pressured , they worked with us patiently through the entire process. They were informative in all areas , friendly and expeditious . In the past , we also have used their service dept. for our 2011 Hyundai and found their service department excellent ! I definitely give all departments a 5 star rating. . Even though we live near St Louis , we traveled 250 miles to buy from this dealership because of our past contacts with them. We now have a new 2016 Hyundai and I'm sure down the road, our next car will be purchased through them also!

Rodney called me after my internet search for a white Elantra Gt with a black interior. He found the car and every possible rebate and offered an out-the-door price (including admin. fee) in a phone call or two He provided the information I requested by email with his best offer ,making this an easy sale's experience. Normally, I loathe buying a car, but Rodney made it easy. He had everything taken care of by the time I drove 150 miles to sign the papers and take it home. He is a friendly, patient salesman who never pressured me. During the test drive , he slowly and carefully showed me how to adjust the speakers - twice. After meeting with the "manager," the step I usually dread because I fear he or she will slip in some new cost, I was surprised. Just an offer for a life-long warranty, my initials and signature, and I was out the door. Rodney followed me to Enterprise and dropped of the key and showed me a shortcut to my friend's house. I highly recommend this gentleman, Rodney Sutherlin if you are looking for and smooth, straight-forward sales experience. His last words were, "Call me if you have any more questions about the car." He's a 10.

James Poe met us as we approached the dealership and was exceptionally friendly,, offered plenty of information, without being pushy. He assisted us all the way through the considerations, called the manager in a couple of times for additional information. When it was time for financial considerations Brian was most helpful, and both offered timely suggestions and helpful information. When we were involved in the collision, just about closing time, James came to where we were, helped us through that mess, called back to the dealership and arranged for us to have a loaner vehicle. Another employee stayed after closing to see that we were all set for transportation. All were very helpful.

I bought two Hyundais (at McCarthys Blue Springs Hyundai) in 2008, which we still own today. One (mine) is kept in a climate controlled garage alongside my 2014 corvette. The Hyundai may be an 08 but it has only 50,000 miles on it. I have had all of my maintenance (including all scheduled maintenance) done at the dealership. I didn't feel that there should be issues with paint fade, or rust on any part or parts of the auto. Not just because of the low miles, but because it is always stored in a climate controlled garaged. But still I know things happen. I had a problem with rust on the wheels a few years ago & they were refinished to my satisfaction, at my cost. THE PROBLEM-I had noticed paint fade on one of my windshield wiper arms. Again I was willing to have the work done at my cost (which I did). When the car was returned to me, there were runs in the paint. The service manager told me to give it a day or so and see if it didn't even out. (Trip 1)Well it didn't even out so I called and made an app. to have it redone. When I arrived for my app. I was told they were over booked and that I would need to set up yet another app. to have the work done. (Trip 2)This time before making the drive out there (which I was going to do anyway because I needed new wiper blades) I called first and spoke with the body shop manager to be sure they had time to work on my car that day. This time he told me that he was not going to repaint the parts due to the runs in the paintWait a minute...WHAT?! He said that I had been told there was no guarantee on the work to be performed. (Trip 3)With that being said, let me tell you that I have bought four new autos from the McCarthy Auto Group since 2008. One for myself and three for other family member. Furthermore I have been doing business with McCarthy Auto Group since the 90's because I feel I get a good value for the dollar and I have never encountered a problem that was not resolved to my satisfaction. I know the previous body shop manager, I believe his name was David, would have never of let this happen. He was a real asset to the dealership.But if the service (body shop manager) will return a car to the customer with runs in the paint, and refuses to make it right goes without saying why he would not guarantee the work. I have never meet the body shop manager, & have only spoke with him this one time over the phone. This is the first time I have experienced an employee at this dealership not going out of their way to see the customer satisfied. This is not a bad dealership, just a bad employee.

Purchased from McCarthy Hyundai a 2011 Sonata in August 2013. Danny Black salesman, was extremely strange and uncomfortable to deal with (including calling my cell phone at least 6-8 times after purchase and I stopped answering) When we went to license the vehicle we found out the title had been switched with another white Sonata somewhere in Missouri and it took us over 18 months to get that straightened meanwhile we received numerous tickets for being illegally licensed. Paint began chipping off the front bumper almost immediately, however it was repaired for us, but by summer/Fall 2015 the paint was chipped horribly all over the vehicle, and I began shopping for an SUV and to trade my Sonata. We also received a recall notice regarding the engine and rod bearing issues. I contacted McCarthy and received emails from Caleb Zimmerman offering to help me locate a preowned luxury SUV (I stated early on I was not interested in another Hyndai) He was friendly via email and attempted to stay in contact and help me with the specific criteria I had. In the meantime a small local dealership ran the car fax on my Sonata while I was test driving their vehicle and informed me my Sonata had been wrecked in 2012, more than a year prior to our purchasing the vehicle. *That then answered why we had so much trouble with the paint* This information was NEVER disclosed to us and I contacted Caleb Zimmerman for help in trying to sort it out. He faxed me 19 pages of documents from our purchase of the vehicle. Almost all documents had both mine and my husbands signatures, however on the car fax itself, only my signature appeared, and not on a signature page, just randomly placed at the top of the pages with a line drawn under my name ('copy and pasted' we firmly believe as I can guarantee we would have never purchased ANY vehicle that had been in an accident at all, let alone air bags deployed!) McCarthy offered no apologies and made no attempt to try and make things right, only stuck by their guns saying they disclose everything and our signatures were there (somehow?), they would do nothing to rectify it or take responsibility. (salesman Danny Black was no longer with them, not surprising) Despite being beyond upset and had verbalized as such, we STILL gave them yet another chance to earn our business and regain our trust and went and looked at a 2012 Cadillac SRX they had for sale, as we had decided that was the vehicle we wanted. We test drove it, they made a fairly low offer on our sonata and frankly acted like they didn't want to be bothered with it because of the recall. They would not negotiate one dollar on their SRX and honestly didn't care one bit about keeping our business or trying to make anything right - or even attempt to give us any kind of positive resolution to this disaster situation. After walking away from the SRX we wanted, the salesman and manager said my car should be scheduled for service immediately to fix the recall issue, and when my husband did that, the service department told us a completely different story,-- that the recall had not been launched yet (although we received a card in the mail saying it was and my VIN was affected) Service would not even schedule my car for repair, and I had gotten extremely anxious and worried about safely driving the vehicle as it constantly acted like it was going to stall and die in the middle of the road. Less than a week later we found an exact SRX at Hendrick Cadillac, who went above and beyond to earn our business and genuinely seemed appreciative to have us as customers. They made us a great deal for our trade and their vehicle, we are very happy with the purchase and everyone we dealt with at the dealership. McCarthy will never have any of our business again.

I went to another KC Hyundai dealership who wouldn't budge on the (sticker) used car price. They were the closest to my house. Then I went to McCarthy Hyundai of Blue Springs. First I asked for a price on a car through their website. Caleb responded the next morning and explained that they were non-commissioned sales staff. Then said they had a loaner vehicle for sale with 2000 miles in my price range. I went the next day to see the car. After the test drive, we discussed how much more would a 2016 Elantra cost. After a little negotiation with the manager, $500.00 off my price for switching from Honda to Hyundai, I was able to get a 2016 (basic) Elantra for $17,300 (sticker price $20,300). It was a steal! The first oil change is on them too. They explained the Bluetooth system well, and the additional features. Caleb was patient and was to the point without rushing my decision. I think I've told about 30 friends and strangers about my awesome experience at McCarthy. You won't be let down.

This was the best car buying experience I have had in a long time. I attribute it to the salesman that helped me through the purchasing process of my new vehicle. James Poe was very friendly, honest and up front with me. No pressure. James made me feel "right at home" during the process. He offered to come to my home and set-up my home link garage door opener with my new vehicle. He did a follow up call a couple days after delivery and asked if I had any questions or concerns about my new vehicle. It's truly a team approach. When it was time for a new car, (I hated having to get rid of my 2008 Azera Limited) I spent about 2 minutes online looking at "other" cars, knowing the only place I'd go was McCarthy in Blue Springs. Bought the Azera in 2010 and have loved it. Gotten to know the service folks as I've come in for routine stuff over the years and they are all awesome!Really wanted to go for the new Genesis, but the 2015 Sonata Sport 2.0 Turbo Limited was calling my name, especially in the Urban Sunset! Thank you DJ, Steve, Doug, James, Rodney and Brian! Like I said, it was a team effort.I will be back for that Genesis!

I didn't realize that Blue Springs McCarthy Hyundai had a page such as this until now. I am going to very strong in my experiences with this dealership for the last 8yrs. My perspective comes from purchasing my Genesis, a Sonata and introducing Sante Fe to another family member. I've spent time around the people who make this place 'GO". DJ Johnson is the best! I was referred to her by a friend and was greatly satisfied! I was nervous as a single women going to purchase a vehicle by myself, however DJ, Doug "General Manager", Steven, "Sales Manager", and Brian all made me feel, cared about and at ease. DJ is the best salesperson we have dealt with. She listened to what we were looking for and patiently let us test drive two cars that we thought we wanted. Then she showed us the vehicle that she knew met all our needs and it was a sale! DJ sold us our first Hyundai six years ago and so we specifically asked for her this time. She bends over backward to help you get what you need in an automobile.Brian Knight was also very helpful. He quickly fixed a glitch in the contract to our satisfaction.We have had our Azera serviced at McCarthy for six years and have always been impressed with their courtesy and efficiency.

Lousy experience trying to sell my used car and possibly purchase another one. I went through their online appraisal process to avoid this type of experience and they still resort to the old school dinosaur tact of baiting me into the store to turn around and lowball me after I specifically stated on the phone that I did not want to waste my time for an offer lower than $21000. Coming in 20% under that when I show up to the dealership and wait an entire 45 minutes to get the appraisal (raining and no customers), is totally unexceptable. My car was in as close to mint condition a used vehicle could be as well, so there was no "well your car isn't as good as shape as you claimed on the phone". Don't try to adapt to utilizing internet technology, to resort to the old dinosaur type of sales process when the consumer arrives.

We had looked at a car on the lot and scheduled a test drive for today (Wednesday). When the car disappeared from the website over the weekend, we called on Monday to confirm the appointment and were told it was still on. Katy even e-mailed us the morning of the test drive to again confirm for that afternoon. However, after driving over an hour to the dealership (in single digit temperatures, I might add), we were told that the car sold "yesterday" but we could look at other cars. When I asked Katy we had not been notified of this happening, we received no response. All trust in this salesperson and McCarthy Hyundai was destroyed. We will not do business with a dealership we cannot trust to be honest and up front with us.

My son and I drove several hours to purchase a new Hyundai from McCarthy Hyundai in Blue Springs. When we arrived, we discovered that the "new" vehicle already had 500 miles on it, which was never mentioned previously. It did not have the "new car" smell, it was dirty, it had a paint mark on one of the doors, and it had an annoying rattle that the salesman tried to brush aside and explain away. When we asked about the value of our three-year-old Elantra Limited, the salesman only offered $9000. My suggestion to you: don't waste your time with this sleazy dealership. Find a car dealer with honesty, integrity, and concern about the welfare of the customer. Caleb talked a good game about wanting "to earn our business," but his actions did not back up his words. In my opinion, all he "earned" was this review.

Web price is not honored unless you "qualify" for several hidden "rebates" and the list is quite long with strict qualifications like: existing Hyundai owner, Military service member/veteran, recent college grad, handicapped, and so on.I was very disappointed that I couldn't get the advertised price straight away and it took a lot of nagging for me to get an explanation of the web price. In the end, the explanation still came out very fuzzy. I asked who set the web price and if we could call them to have them explain how it was calculated and "they weren't available". This was all very suspect to me. I eventually negotiated my purchase price to within something close to the web price, but honestly I was exhausted after this and I am sure the Sales staff was too. This was all way too much of a run around. As an educated buyer, it should be very easy to get agreement on a new car price. It's not rocket science. Advertising a web price with hidden qualifications just made the whole deal a big pain and unnerving. If you want repeat customers, they need to leave the store feeling good about the deal, honestly I wasn't feeling too good.If it wasn't for George Williams' fun loving attitude, I probably wouldn't have bought the car and probably wouldn't go back to this dealer. George is a great guy though and deserves a raise for the BS his management put him through to get this deal done.Also during the negotiation, the Sales manager wrote on one of the offer sheets "THE END" and "GOOD-BYE", I was not entertained by these smart-xxx remarks. I would advise not to let this happen in future negotiations, because it was clearly not "THE END" because we continued to negotiate. It just made me mad, so pushed them harder for a better deal and ended up getting more money off, ridiculous... Hopefully this review helps someone so that they may go in with their eyes wide open. I have bought my fair share of cars and know a good experience from a bad one. I can say this one really tested my patience. In the end, George saved the deal for this dealership.

I don't like playing games with my money. So my expectations are simple, but high. I went in and told Rick Pena exactly how much I wanted to spend and how much I had for a down payment. He found a car a year old, with a 3 year warranty, for almost 100.00 less per month than I expected to spend. The Veloster is everything I could have wanted and so many extras I never expected. He even brought my paperwork to my job more than 30 minutes away - AFTER the sale was already complete. This is the first foreign car I have owned. Thanks to the experience from Blue Springs Hyundai and Rick, it won't be my last.

James Poe is a great salesperson! He really knew a lot about the car and took the time to show me all the features during the test drive. Brian in finance was very easy to work with and had everything done in a timely and efficient manner. Scott helped us order some all-weather floor mats because they only had 1 set in stock and we needed two (we bought two cars when we went in there). Steve was really awesome to work with as well. Our cars had to be picked up from out of town dealers and he provided us with a courtesy car to drive while we waited. Amazing experience...great customer service, great environment. We will definitely be back to buy more cars from this dealership!

Be careful when attempting to deal with this dealership. They are shady- and especially don't trust Steve- I learned a lot about his character within the first 30 seconds of talking with him! I am sure that other car dealers will think twice about trading cars with this dealership based on his business ethics. I am SO thankful that I purchased at the other dealership- they are honest and genuine.

I'll try to be short and to the point:- Tony had us sign some scratch piece of paper when we told him we weren't going to spend anymore than $11000 TOTAL (we specified EVERYTHING) - which he signed too.- They promised us it'd only take ~30 min to talk to the finance guy (Brian - who was actually very good to work with) Well, it took more than 2hrs and we had two little kids with us. So finally I'd had enough and they agreed we could just come back later.- When Brian typed up the paperwork, I saw a $50 "service fee" overthe $11000. This prompted me to ask about the taxes as well. Brian left and in came Tony. Tony started raising his voice at me and my wife saying that wasn't their responsibility, and trying to intimidate us. When I showed him the scratch piece of paper we both signed, he left and got Keenan. Keenan finally had some customer service skills and compromised to pay 1/2 of the taxes.- We rolled $450 into our loan, and McCarthy promised to pay us $900 once money was received from the bank. This was 06NOV2012.- We called on 20NOV2012 asking about the check and the title paperwork. The girl who answered said "ohhh yeah... I've got it here on my desk I forgot to mail it."- A check for $450 and title paperwork was delivered on 29NOV2012 (remember only 30 days to register a vehicle).- We called on 01DEC2012 (when I got to the post office to get the certified letter) when I discovered that $450 was missing. The general manager (Doug Miller) claimed "Oh, our person who prints checks isn't here, and I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do that, but it'll be ready for you first thing Monday morning." - Got to McCarthy at 8:30am on 03DEC2012. Didn't get the check until ~10:15am. We will never buy from them again.We first traded in and bought a Hyundai Santa Fe from them in 2010 and had a great experience with them. It seemed quick fast and painless but that was probably because we were desperate for a 4dr with a new kid and we traded in an amazing Honda Civic with less than 100K mi.
