Michael Pompilio took good care of us at McGrath Honda. We came in to look at a used Acura MDX and we had a painless experience ultimately purchasing the vehicle for them. It was starting to rain so Michael arranged to bring the vehicle into the service bay so we could take our time inspecting it. The test drive went well. No pressure and we got a fair price on a good vehicle.

Excellent experience. My wife and I visited the dealership middle of last year just exploring at the time. Carlos Fuentes- the sales consultant did an excellent job explaining the pros-and cons of all options available to us. He patiently explained the technical details like the CVT. But he never pressurized or rushed us. we visited again last month and he showed us around let us test drive multiple cars never once pressurizing us. Finally we bought the car last week and he gave us excellent tips of maintaining the car. he always has a smile, friendly, knowledgeable, courteous always professional. I will readily recommend the dealership to anyone wanting to buy a car.

It all started with not being able to decide between the pilot in the Durango it is later I received a text message alerting me to the fact that there it was touring Honda in St. Charles. I responded to the text "what color?" I was told gray and black well I responded no thanks I'm looking for white I quickly received another text claiming that they do at a white one but it was used but said it was 2016. So of course I'm interested mainly because I'm looking for a 2016 now I just have to know how many miles are on it let me just tell you my excitement when I find out that there's only 4000 miles on it for the next four hours I spent texting back-and-forth with Amanda. I end up going on silence for a period of time that gets me very nervous so I decide to call the dealership and I get Frank who just so happens to be the "used car sales" specialist that I need. Right about this time it's around 6pm and I live about an hour away I fill him in on the details of my previous few hours of conversations with Amanda and he lets me know that he cannot locate the vehicle on the property that I am interested in. Needless to say I am a little bit nervous so he tells me he's going to call me back after he finds out where it is! I've already emptied out my vehicle with everything that was in it and I've already packed up my kids and I have decided that I'm going buy this vehicle.... So where is it? "Papageorgio to the rescue!" When I get the call to tell me where the Pilot was.... I was already in route to the St. Charles Honda, which let me remind you is an hour away from where I live. So about 15 min later, Frank calls to tell me that the vehicle that I am interested in is on in an extended test drive and it is not available but I can check that tomorrow and I tell him that is just simply not acceptable that I am already on my way and I will be buying the vehicle! Thank goodness Papageorgio took it upon himself to become my hero and by far the number one most deserving of an award for the best car salesman! Papageorgio aka Mike actually went and picked up this vehicle especially for me knowing how serious I was about wanting to buy this vehicle that he got the nerve to take me on a test drive in it while it was completely filthy this guy had a lot of nerve. But more important he had so much faith in this vehicle so much faith in himself, and I don't really know how to explain how well they ALL handled probably one of the most difficult customers that could have walked in at 8:15 on a Thursday evening I came in with two youngsters ages six and eight- priceless! Lucky for me my kids were very very well behaved because it took us until after midnight to close the deal but let me just say the customer service that I received from Frank Mike and Dustin was the most super friendly, honest, and welcoming. I am so superiorly satisfied with my vehicle my purchase and everything that has taken place that I commend St. Charles Honda and I give them the highest level of recommendation! Thank you for what you all did that night and continue to do since my purchase!!!

I recently visited the dealership to look for a new car. I was fortunate to have Bruce Naumann as my salesman. He was extremely friendly, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. He took the time to go over all the details of the cars I was interested in purchasing without trying to pressure me into making a deal. I feel he went above and beyond the role of salesman to make sure that I was happy with my purchase. We knew our older car needed to be replaced, but put off purchasing a replacement as long as possible. We visited several dealerships during our search for a used vehicle with low miles, pristine interior, a record for reliability and great gas mileage. We found a few vehicles at other dealerships that could have worked, but didn't like the atmosphere or the attitude of the salesmen. When we stopped by McGrath Honda in St. Charles, we were greeted warmly by Conrad Gomes, who seemed more interested in helping us find the right vehicle and explaining the features of the various models we test drove than making a sale. The Saturday we visited, Conrad ended up not having a vehicle we were interested in so we exchanged contact information. The following Monday, Conrad and his sales manager both contacted us by phone to say they now had a vehicle they thought would be a perfect fit for us. We ended up driving to St. Charles on Tuesday evening and purchasing the car. We are thrilled. Conrad phoned us the day after the sale to make sure we were happy with the purchase and offered to explain any features (like Bluetooth) that we might not be familiar with how to work. Within a week, we also received a hand-written thank you note in the mail from Conrad. Thank you to Conrad and the team at McGrath Honda in St. Charles for an amazing car buying experience!

I purchased a 2016 Civic Touring and I easily found the car I wanted on the dealer site. After sending an e-mail out late at night, I received a call from Ben who was more than helpful getting the information I needed and to help me with financing. I came in that very night after Financing was approved and picked up the car. Ben was helpful throughout the whole process and understood that I didn't need to be shown every little feature on the car.

Sue and I came to McGrath only to get information on the mechanics of an auto lease. Michael was friendly and welcoming and answered most questions without us asking. He introduced us to the Lease Manager who clearly explained the lease program in detail. This convinced us a lease was right for us at this time. Michael then showed us a car that fit our budget and needs. We were pleasently surprised at the sporty look and driveability of the 2016 Civic LX 4 dr. That sealed the deal and our next stop was with the Business Manager who quickly and effectively explained the three optional packages. After he explained the closing paperwork we signed and fianilized the deal. Sue and I both agreed this was an an execeptionally positive auto dealership experiance.

Before finally deciding to buy my new honda accord I searched long and hard for the right car for me. After weeks of searching and more dealerships than I care to remember, McGrath Honda of St. Charles was far superior to any other. My salesman was Rob Capozziello and he truly made me feel like I was their one and only customer. Rob was extremely patient with me as I explored every possible option to find the best deal on the right car. Rob was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and the different options I had with each which eliminated many headaches I experienced at other dealerships. At the end of it all I truly believe Rob when he told me the most important thing to him was for me to be happy with my purchase. Not just the day I bought it but a year, 5 years, 10 years down the road. A difficult and stressful situation of having totaled our Honda CRV was converted to positive and upbeat buying experience . We bought in 2006 from McGrath-we wanted the same car so we returned. This experience exceeded the one in 2006 and in comparison to a visit to another dealership in St Charles on the same day(, where we have also made a purchase in 2014) the focus , the attention paid to detail and the thorough review of our options and all information was far superior. Went to st.charles to look for a car, had Rob help me with viewing Wyatt would be best for me. He took me to test drive all the cars i was interested in and knew all the information on each one, was able to help me figure out numbers and get right where I wanted to be. I have been to multiple Honda dealerships trying to find the car I wanted. I had a Honda and wanted to trade into a Honda dealership because they appreciate the brand. Bought a brand new 2015 from McGrath. Has been in the service Dept once a month since last June for 3 separate problems that they can't figure out. My fiance is a mechanic and knows what's wrong but they refuse to listen to him. One more visit to the service department and this Crosstour will be a LEMON. I'm sick of paying for a brand new car I can't drive and is constantly getting fixed for the same reasons that the service department doesn't know how to fix. Please get your xxxx together McGrath. Was planning on buying another Honda at first, but not anymore. Back to GM I go!

I came in looking to trade my 2014 Toyota 4Runner with low miles in excellent condition for a new Odyssey. As I walked in the door I was approached by the general manager who proceeded to told me I couldn't trade in my 4Runner at McGrath Honda because they only sell Hondas. This despite the fact that right now there's a Ford Explorer for sale sitting right next to their sign along the road. I'm really not sure why the GM thought I was wasting his time. His sales person never got back to me on pricing like he said would either. I had bought a Civic from them previously and this apparently didn't matter to them either. Basically they blew me off from the moment I walked in the door. The dealership itself is small and they didn't appear to have much to choose from compared to other dealers.

We travelled all the way from Buffalo Grove to McGrath in St. Charles because they had the specific car we wanted. I have to say it was well worth the travel time and I will head back there again next time we purchase a car. Everyone from the minute we walked in the door was super friendly. Gina Moreno and Mike Pompilio were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We were made to feel like family. We LOVE the new car, and over the past week have realized we forgot a few items in the car we traded in (iPass transmitter, and a CD that was left in the CD player), and given the travel distance, Mike offered to drive both items (2 separate trips) door-to-door to our house! This is white glove service at its finest. I wish I lived closer to take advantage of their free carwashes and oil changes!!

Michael Pompilio was our salesman and he was awesome! Helpful, always available, and was very patient and went above and beyond in what turned into a lot more work than your average car sale. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase or lease. The finance department was very helpful and patient as well... I went to my local dealer here to return an out of state lease and look at a new car. The dealer I spoke with seemed okay but not interested. They quoted me a price I found high. The manager came over and explained, "Ma'am, you are talking about a "$40,000 vehicle". I left and they called later offering me a chance to hunt down a older model at a better price. I said okay and that dealer never called me back. When I finally called back, he said he thought he'd called me back and they didn't have any of those cars left. I almost gave up on Honda but went to a competitive dealer in Naperville, had an amazing experience and purchased our Odyssey there in just under a week. In conclusion, take your business elsewhere.

Overall a good used car buying experience. Mike and Carlos were more than helpful and easy to work with. The dealership did seem a bit understaffed as it took longer than I would have expected to finish all of the paperwork and deliver the vehicle. We were looking for a Honda since family members had one and features in the Honda interested us. The McGrath Honda website was a HUGE help in showing us what was available as there were pictures of the exterior, interior, and even the engine! We decided to go to McGrath and try to find the car we'd seen on the web, quickly found it and spent a few minutes looking it over. Then a young, energetic, smiling salesman saw us looking and quickly came out to greet us. CARLOS F. invited us into the showroom and after talking a little more we were able to test drive a 2015 Honda Accord. In the process we learned there was an upgrade with the EX model which had additional features that sounded very good to us. CARLOS did a SUPERIOR job of explaining all the features and making sure we understood them. After we made the purchase, he spent more time in our new car making sure he had covered all information to acquaint us with the vehicle. In addition he invited us to come back anytime with questions and see him or any other salesman who would be available.

We were very pleased with every aspect of buying our new Honda Odyssey Elite from McGrath Honda of St Charles. Buying a car is not usually an experience we look forward to.but we left with our new mini van and felt good about the van and the sales process. Our sales representative, Dave Reid, had met us on the lot the day before we actually bought the car with a friendly greeting and remembered us by name when we came back the next day. He was not only congenial, he was knowledgeable about the 2015 Odessy. and new all the new features that have been changed from our previously owned 2009 Odessy Touring van. He gets a gold star. The finance manager, Nik Joshi made the potentially tedious paper work experience clear and easy. We had been shopping for a while, and we were most pleased with McGrath Honda of St. Charles.

Showed up for an appointment only to wait around for 15 minutes. Then we were helped by a nice guy who was not who we had the appointment with. While test driving the car we were encouraged to "floor it", not something you should do in a new car, just showed the salesman was not very knowledgeable about cars. They had put $1k of "optional" accessories on the car that were not actually optional. Upon sitting down to discuss price they wanted 4K over MSRP out the door. When I told them that I couldn't afford that price they asked if I had any relatives that would loan me money..... seriously. I left and went to Valley Honda and bought the same vehicle for UNDER MSRP out the door. Nuff said.

Overall, I had a decent experience at McGrath Honda of St. Charles on July 10th. There are a few exceptions which I could use your help.It took 15 minutes for someone to attend to me. I had a 2:30 pm appointment. I was almost ready to leave when I was finally waited on.My actual car mileage was 45,124 on July 10th. I believe they listed 72,631 KM instead of miles. This will mess up the service schedule for the car.Invoice # HNCS470907.This comment was emailed to Mark Phillips on 7/13/15 and to date I have had no response.

I came from the automobile business, 30 years ago and was in Sales and Management, the business is completely different now as opposed to then. It requires more disclosure, and more product knowledge than ever before to keep up with the competition in the automobile market. Many times people feel scared or intimidated walking into a dealership and wonder how to approach the process of making a purchase or a lease, also making a financial decision that will have an impact upon your future ownership of a car, no matter if it is foreign or domestic. When I sent my first request for information on the internet I got a response within 30 minutes about choices that were offered at McGrath, and later I went in that day to get some hands on information. I was immediately welcomed and the dealership was clean and welcoming, plus they offered a refreshment right away. I was introduced to Mike Pompilio and we sat down to get to know each other and I very soon was able to see he was finding out the information that I was searching for, and not rushing me or pushing me into anything, he was listening and letting me give the requirements for what I was needing in a lease. We then looked at a Civic that I was looking for, and gave me knowledgeable information while looking at the car and driving the car on a test drive. I was seeing that he was able to relate to me very well and understood more what I was needing in my search for a car. We started working on the prices (naturally I came prepared), but everything he was saying was dead on with what I had researched, and was coming down to the final stretch. The payment was what I was concerned about because the lease was for my son and he was paying for it. We were very close on price, and his boss Frank Mininni helped with the Lease calculations, it boiled down to where the car that I was working on was actually a little higher than I wanted to go with the payment. Frank said that he was looking at what other choices that could be considered in the same car but get closer to the payment that I wanted to keep my son's budget at. Frank within 10 minutes was able to give me a choice that was the solution for getting the payment down and getting more car for less payment, with only my trade in alone nothing else. I took a look at the car and it was a good fit. Time seemed to move along and before I knew it we were done and agreed upon, with the lease terms where the credit application taken, and we were good. The overall experience for an old car guy myself was fun, and exciting, because Mike and Frank made it that way. I was truly pleased with my Lease at McGrath. I have never leased myself before, always bought used but, this if felt, was a better way to go. With cars today they are so expensive, and I think this might be a good solution for people who have not looked at this way before. Thanks to Frank and Mike it was a great experience. Thanks Guy's!! I will send some friends your way.

I experienced the best auto purchase from McGrath Honda in St Charles. I was promptly greeted by friendly staff at the door. I let them know I had an appointment to meet with Michael Widuch for a test drive. Michael took the time to show me several safety features of the Accord before we took the vehicle out. He was very knowledgeable about the car and again showed me several interior features. We took the vehicle out for a good 15 minute drive so that I could get a good feel for it. When we returned to the dealership, he was patient with me as I asked quite a few questions to help me make a good decision. He showed great confidence in his answers and I never once felt pressure like I've experienced at other dealerships. He provided a customer experience for me,that went well above my expectations for the whole visit to the store. . Thank you to him and the entire McGrath team in St Charles! I enjoyed the entire process and definitely recommend Michael to anyone who is considering buying a vehicle!

I went to Mc Grath with my daughter to look a a Honda we were greeted by the salesman who introduced us to the person who works with their web site he spent quite of time with us I drove three different Hondas for comparison . When I decided on what i wanted and the color he brought the car out , I tested that but did not really like it. I asked him if he would be willing to sell me the floor model he check with the manager and he said yes they had to charge the battery since it had only three miles on it and was in the show room all the time I took for a ride and loved it they were very nice and very patient they shared some pizza they had ordered with us because we were there for several hours. i left with the car I wanted and would go back there again to purchase a car the are very customer oriented.

I really liked our salesman Dave. He did a very nice job showing us 2 different vehicles we were interested in . He gave us time to think about the purchase and did not pressure us into buying. The reason I can't give 5 stars for the first 3 questions is the experience I had in the finance dept. I was with Nick for 2 hours. During that time he would not stop trying to sell me extra coverage for the vehicle. He would not except no as an answer. I have never had this kind experience before in the finance department. I'm a 61 year old woman who's not new to the new car buying experience. I did my homework and decided that the 2015 CRV Touring was the vehicle for me. Not an easy car to locate in the Chicago area especially in the white pearl with beige interior that I chose. I did my initial test drive at McGrath - was straight up with them and told them it was just that - a test drive. They respected my wishes - no pressure and I spent a few minutes just watching the other transactions and sales people. It felt comfortable, relaxed, and very classy - and this was on busy Memorial Day. Long story short I got my car - brought my IPad and research with me and we worked our transaction from there. Got a very fair price on my trade in - cash for the remainder (I don't finance at my age). Added some nice extras (touring is loaded so it's just some exterior cosmetic stuff). The McGrath Advantage program that covers maintenance, dings, windshields, wheels , etc. first year is just an added plus. What more can I say - their in my neighborhood and after living here for 25 years I'm now going to be a regular there!

Did not purchase 2009 Odyssey at McGrath St. Charles. They have been servicing my minivan since new and have nothing but the positive experience with their service dept. I have yet to have any unresolved or had any issues with them. All the service agent are great but especially Dan Pippel is great to work with. I recommend servicing you vehicle from this dealer.

My experience with McGrath was very good when I was trying to decide what car was best for me. I test drove 3 different cars, and the CRV twice. My salesman, Bruce, was very patient with me and allowed be to discover that I wanted the CRV in my own time. The service department was quick to get my new car back in for the extra's, and is very clean and efficient. Very pleased, and love my new car!

I have been a Honda fan since I purchased my first Honda some twenty-five years ago. When last week I decided to purchase a new Honda because my existing 2007 Honda CR-V was getting more miles on it than I liked I decided to visit McGrath Honda in St. Charles. My Sales Consultant, Bruce Naumann, turned out to be excellent and very well-versed on the Honda product line. As a retired AT&T salesman I do not like to deal with high pressure Sales people at all. From the test drive of the new 2015 Honda CR-V to the negotiating process everything went smoothly because Bruce took the time to be thorough and put myself and my wife at ease without any unwanted sales pressure. Because of Bruce everything went smoothly, so instead of seeking out pricing from any other Honda dealers I bought the new CR-V and was able to drive it home that evening. Normally I probably would have gotten pricing from a several Honda dealers but I did not feel that it was warranted. Bruce's boss was also helpful in the buying process as well as the Finance Department. Thank you Bruce for the pleasurable car purchase! Steve & Shelley

I had no intention of purchasing a vehicle as soon as I did. However the sales staff Joanna and Mike negotiated a deal that I could refuse. Although we have been faithful Honda customers for many years we were looking at downsizing our transportation (my wife and I are retired) to possibly a FIT or a similar alternative product. By the end of the day I was leaving the dealership with the most beautiful Accord I had ever seen. The deal more then met our budgetary requirements. I look forward to working with the service staff who I believe will be as competent and helpful as the sales staff. The dealership and the Accord are highly recommended.

I took my 2006 Civic to McGrath Honda in January to have a cracked engine block replaced. Seven, 7, return trips and three months later, I hope they've finally fixed my car correctly. Each time it needed to go back because coolant and oil were continuing to leak from the engine. It took a visit to my private mechanic to locate the leak. My mechanic printed a picture of the engine and drew an arrow where the Honda mechanic could find the leak and fix it.

I looked online for a long time at the car I wanted (Subaru Outback), with the features I wanted (Limited), for the price I wanted. Out of 4 dealerships, only McGrath Honda would negotiate the price with me. The price was good, but I wanted to negotiate for better. It was only a $400 difference, but just the fact that they would when no one else did earned them my attention.We live out of state. They understood that and did a lot of the paperwork before we even got there. Once there, they made us feel welcome, gave us snacks, and made the whole experience enjoyable (as much as it is enjoyable). :)I would most definitively buy a car from them again!

I am very disappointed with the customer service aspect of Honda. I had a 2006 Honda Accord V6 with only 119000 miles which was maintained by the Honda dealership (check record for water pump, timing belt, oil change etc). I brought the above vehicle to your dealership and was diagnosed that due to oil pump failure my engine had seized. Neither McGrath nor Honda America assisted me with feasible idea. I had to junk this car due to repair cost of $4200 offered by McGrath. I recently bought Honda Accord S in November 2014 based on my blind trust on McGrath Honda but now I am repenting my decision for buying poor technology and engine quality and support of Honda. In case of oil pump failure Honda should have a mechanism for protecting its engine. It seems Honda lacks technological edge resulting in loss of my engine with no support and assistance either by the dealer nor Honda USA. I learnt one thing that Honda engines are good for 60,000 miles only.Insult to injury came when I was billed by your service manager Tom Koch for $149.95/- diagnosis charges. Being your permanent customer and buyer of brand new 2014 Accord, when I am in distress instead of showing concern and assistance I dont believe that McGrath would do such a mean thing.

I was shopping for a new car and I had been shopping around a bit. I came across a few cars at McGrath in St. Charles. I came into contact with Rob Capozziello and told him I would come in and see him. My mistake was going to Valley Honda out by the mall before going to McGrath to see Rob. I felt I was "held hostage" by the people at Valley Honda. I was there for hours and I told them my needs and they decided that they new my needs better than me. I was looking at a CR-V or a Pilot. They tried to sell me a Civic after the CR-V and the Pilot's they had didnt meet my Criteria. The next day I went to McGrath and spoke with Rob. Told him I had to meet some folks from work for dinner and had limited time. I told Rob what had happend the eveniong before and I told him waht I wanted and that I hate the car purchasing process. We drove some cars and then I left for my dinner; no pressure. I came back a few days later and we struck a deal on a CR-V. The process was smooth and Rob knew I wasnt there to be haggled or messed with because of my horrible experience at Valley Honda. Rob was great. Also the financing people were great, they got me an awesome rate; almost half of the percentage rate Valley Honda had offered me. I will be buying another car in the next 4 years and I will being going to McGrath and Rob. I have already told friends and family about how McGrath and the group treated me.

We traveled from Ohio to St. Charles because this was the only dealership I called who would negotiate the price on the car I saw online. It was a good price to begin with, but they took an additional $400 off. They were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They already had most of the paperwork done when we got there so the time we were actually in the dealership was shorter than normal. They also provided us snacks and water.The windshield had a "ping" in it and they're going to pay for that repair even though said repair isn't going to be done at their location or with their glass repair partner. It is only day two of me owning the car and I've already had both the guys we worked with call to see that we made it home safely, that I like the car, and to confirm that I am to send them the bill for the windshield repair.Though I don't visit dealerships often, these one far exceeded my expectations. It was worth the 5-hour drive!

I purchased my new (new to me) 2012 Certified Honda CRV from McGrath Honda in St. Charles, IL, a little over a week ago. And couldnt be more pleased with both the car, and the incredible customer service that I received from every staff member that I met from before the moment I walked through the door. After filling out some information online and submitting it, I was contacted by several dealerships via phone and email, many from the same dealerships, multiple times in one day. While I received a couple of emails from McGraths customer service center, the one that made me choose to contact them was an email from Michael Gately, Sales Manager that simply said How can I help? I placed a phone call to Michael and he was very patient with me, answering all of my questions about leasing, purchasing, etc., and directed me to their online credit application to start the process prior to making the trip from Sycamore to St. Charles. I was unsure at this point, whether I was ready to buy and have a car payment after not having one for years, but I did feel, after researching this dealership, and reading about their low-pressure sales approach, that I would feel comfortable exploring my options with them. This was far and away, my best car buying experience. I didnt feel like I was being pressured to buy, nor did I feel I was stuck in the endless cycle of let me go check with my sales manager. I feel that I received a very fair deal and that everyone I dealt with was professional, courteous, and honest. They gave me more than a fair price on my 2006 trade-in, and genuinely seemed to be keeping my best interests in mind as they worked on this deal. I feel the employees of McGrath were very much invested in gaining and retaining my business. I received several follow up calls from Ben, this past week to arrange for me to get a second key that was owed to me. I stopped in to pick it up yesterday, and was once again greeted by many friendly faces who were unbelievably pleasant and attentive, even knowing I wasnt there to make a purchase.McGrath has not only met, but exceeded my expectations, and they have definitely earned my future business. My one hope is that Ben will still be there a few years down the road when I come back for my next car, but if he is not, I have a feeling that there will be another fantastic sales rep there in his place, although maybe not with that great southern accent!

The Good: The Salesperson was excellent. He was a great guy who never stopped smiling and made the less then great experience tolerable. He also hustled and personally helped prep the vehcile for sale. Removing stickers, cleaning glass, etc etc. Unfortunately, he has very little to do with the car buying experience.The Bad: We went in to look at a used Toyota Highlander that was priced comparable to other vehicles in the market. We offered $300 less than the sale price and was told that the price wasn't negotiable by the sales manager. I pointed out that the vehicle hadn't been properly cleaned on the inside. There was a spot on the drivers side seat and some writing/crayons/dirt on the headliner. I told the salesman that we would need to have the interior detailed to remove these spots/stains. The dealership did offer to have it cleaned but that involved us leaving the vehicle, taking a loaner and returning later to retrieve the car. We live 67 miles away from the dealership and that was not an option for us. They also offered to take $50 dollars off the price to have the inside cleaned. $50 dollars would not cover the cost of having someone professionally clean the inside. We just had a small corolla sized vehicle cleaned for $100 and I am sure a larger SUV would be more. The sales manager finally came down from his ivory tower to talk to us. He gave us a line about how the McGrath family doesn't want him discounting used cars and that the price was the price but he would knock a whole $95 dollars off the sales price of the Highlander. The sales manager also went on to say he spent his time and energy to make sure the vehicle was safe, reliable and ready to be driven home and that is why the interior wasn't properly taken care of. He referenced the price of the vehicle, almost as if buying a used car doesn't deserve the same level of quality. He also told me how he touched up the paint on the bumper of the vehicle. During the whole buying process, the people that worked there talked about how long the McGrath's have been in business and how great of a dealership and family they are. When buying a car, there are a million documents to sign stating you are buying as is with all of these disclosures but nothing about how they do not discount used vehicles and nothing on their website. Odd, it's as if the sales manager was lying to me. He did also say during our conversation that he thought the vehicle would sell for the full asking price and if I didn't want to accept his offer of $95 dollars off he understood. What I find ironic about this sales managers comments is that do you think the McGrath's would also want you to put a car on their lot that wasn't totally ready to be sold. It was obvious that someone did a poor job of preparing this vehicle for sale. The sales manager or dealership manager never double checked his employees work before putting it up for sale on the lot. The actually buying experience is very typical of a big mega car lot. You have layers and layers of bureaucracy just to purchase a vehicle. We were paying cash for the vehicle and we initially dealt with a salesperson to purchase but he has absolutely no authority. He cannot negotiate on behalf of the dealership. The sad part is he was the BEST PART OF THE BUYING experience. Why do dealerships need finance managers, sales managers, and sales people? Oh that's right because that's how they have been doing it for 50 years. Well the system is broken and that is why 8/10 people never return to the same dealership to buy a car. A little humility would have went a long way with the sales manager. But how can someone have humility when they don't have your best interest at heart?? Would you sell your mom a dirty car? Think about it, if every retail business treated their customers like a family member you would have happier customers and more return business. That doesn't mean giving everything away. The McGrath name has like 4 or 5 dealerships. They are not giving anything away. I have had worse experiences with car dealerships. Did this dealership wow me? No. They are mediocre at best. There is nothing special or unique about them. If buying a used car or even a newer car, try to find a small mom and pop location that knows how to treat people or buy from a private owner. It should not take 2+ hours to buy a used vehicle. My suggestion to dealerships such as this is to empower their sales people to take care of the customer and even be able to negotiate without having to run back to the sales manager. It makes me wonder, what if the sales manager calls in sick? How will they be able to sell a car without him there? The finance guy wasn't even sure how to do his job. He had to stop and go ask for help. How about a check list? You are charging me a documentation fee but your people don't know how to do their job.

But it was time. My 2005 Pontiac with 153,000 miles was well beyond it's useful life.Dean is the consummate professional. My daughter purchased her first car from Honda Salesman, Dean Sulemani. Since we live 1.5 hours away, all of the shopping was done electronically and by phone. Dean did a great job of making sure we had all the information necessary to purchase the vehicle. He was pleasant, truthful and informative, making the process go very smoothly. We were also very pleased with the Nick and the financing process. My daughter got a great rate on her first loan. The sales staff was friendly and very hospitable making sure we were comfortable while the purchase took place. My only complaint was the car was dirty and not very well detailed. There was pop or something sprayed on the ceiling and it didn't seem like any efforts were made to clean it. There was still dog hair from the previous owner and crumbs in the counsel. Obviously, this was superficial and not a deal breaker just annoying. Overall we were very pleased and would do business again with McGrath Honda of St. Charles.

I've been going to McGrath St Charles for the past 11 years for all of my car maintenance needs. The only person I ask for is Thom Koch. I absolutely trust him with my Honda Accord. He is very knowledgeable and is very honest when it comes for me to understand what type of minor or major repairs need to be done on my vehicle. Service tech was helpful the day b-4 giving me a time slot for oil change & taking care of business when I arrived on time. Very courteous. Side note: Your car wash needs improvement. It's not a wash, it's a fast rinse for new cars. My car was streaked with road salt residue when i picked it up and that's is NOT ACCEPTABLE. If your going to offer a free car wash to your customers, WASH IT, or just call it what it is - a car rinse! My 2014 EXL Accord appearance now looks worse than when I brought it in. Thanks Mcgrath!

This past Saturday, my wife and I went car shopping which (because of numerous less than great experiences in the past) is not one of my favorite things to do. I think Id rather go to the dentist than go looking for cars. But I had never been to McGrath Honda in St Charles before. We had been on the lot about 15 minutes when I realized this was a different car store than the ones Ive visited in the past. There was an overall relaxed atmosphere but also a very efficient one, and heres a few things we experienced. There was prompt service, but it wasnt pushy. When we had a question about a mechanical issue on the car we were interested in, our salesman didnt try to come up with an answer on his own but took us (and the car) directly to the service manager to have our issue addressed. And the service manager immediately stopped what he was doing to focus on our concern. Our salesman Dave was outstanding and when we had a question about why the used car we were looking at was traded in, he went and got Dean (who had taken in that car on trade) to explain those circumstances. Mark went over options like rustproofing, paint protection and extended warranties and although we didnt purchase any of those products, we never felt any pressure to do so. They respect the no thank you response there. The service manager Tom was (as mentioned earlier) very helpful in explaining the mechanical issue we had and also runs a very clean (and busy) shop. The finance manager Michael took us through the purchasing documents that were ready and waiting for us no fuss or hassles here either. I hope Im doing justice to just how impressed we were with this auto store. And although they are about 30 minutes from our home I will tell our friends about our experience with the folks at McGrath Honda in St. Charles and enthusiastically recommend that they use this dealership for their next car purchase. I cannot make that same statement about any other dealership Ive visited over the years. And having purchased my first car in 1969, Ive been to my fair share of auto stores. Five stars, two thumbs up, highly and enthusiastically recommended.

I was referred to this dealership by a friend. I drove 245 miles from home to look at a Honda Pilot 2011. The vehicle had rolled in the day before and had not been serviced. It was as clean as a showroom car. The salesman worked with me to see that all my needs were met, then turned me over to the finance department who assisted me in the proper warranties, payment size and schedule that fit my income. I am very proud of my vehicle, I am extremely happy with how I was treated and have been treated with a few minor maintenance issues. If and when I decide to purchase another vehicle, it will certainly be from McGrath Honda of St. Charles, Illinois.

I found the vehicle I was looking for online,and made an appointment for the same day. From the moment I walked into dealership I was warmly greeted and treated like one of the family. That's part of the philosophy at McGrath Honda, they want everyone to feel like family. I got a great deal on the used Toyota Highlander I purchased ! Dean was most helpful with the test drive and making sure I was comfortable with the purchase and showing me around the facility so I knew where to go for lifetime car washes and servicing when needed. Mike also had a "no pressure" attitude when closing the deal. What impressed me most was the fact that I was treated so well even though I purchased a used Toyota from a Honda dealership! Dean helped me find a beautiful Honda Accord in a color I love, and a trim that fit my budget. He was very patient during 4 test drives, on 3 different days. And, when I made my decision, he even helped me program the Blue Tooth, radio, and walked me through listening to music through my I pod. He also showed me how to access driving directions through my I Phone on the car audio system. That was very helpful!!! He even made a follow up call a few days after the sale to see if I had any other questions. Dean was great!

On July 18, 2014, I bought a 2014 Honda Civic at McGrath Honda, St. Charles, Illinois. I traded in my 1999 Honda Civic. The reason I went to McGrath was because I bought my 1999 Civic there 15 years ago and had a wonderful experience - even though I live 40 minutes away from the dealership. Not this time. I was at the dealership for 5 hours before driving away with my new Civic. Most of the time was spent waiting. I bought a remote starter to have installed there later in the week. I also had to give them a $95.00 check because I did not have my title with me I was not expecting to buy that night, just look and test drive. Craig, the finance manager, told me I would get the check back when I brought the title in. On July 19 I called the service department to make an appointment to have the remote starter installed. I took the car in on July 26 as scheduled. I was told by the service manager that they had not been notified about the remote starter by the sales department and therefore did not have the parts. I made a new appointment for Tuesday, July 29 to drop off the car and get a loaner. I do not blame the service department at all. It was the sales/finance manager's fault. The service department was extremely efficient and helpful. They kept me informed of the progress and the car was ready when I was told it would be. While I was there on July 26, I gave them the title and talked to the sales manager Mike. I told him that if possible I would like my old Civic back. He said that wouldn't be a problem but they did find it had an oil leak. I found this extremely doubtful since the car never left oil spots anywhere I parked it and I parked it in the same spots at home and work. Also, it was less than a year since I had the car totally checked out at McGrath. I told him I didn't care. He again agreed I could have the car back. I told him that just to make sure everything was absolutely clear I was going to get my 1999 Civic back on Tuesday and I would give them a check for what they gave me as a trade in. He said absolutely. On the 26th, even though I gave them the title to the 1999 Civic I did not receive my $95.00 check. On Tuesday, July 29, my son left work early so we could drop off the 2014 Civic for service and pick up the 1999 Civic, as agreed to by the sales manager. When we got there, I told Mike we were there to pick up the 1999 Civic and that I had a check for the trade in amount as agreed. He told me the car had been shipped out on Tuesday, July 23 to be auctioned off for parts 4 days BEFORE he told me I could have it back. He was also very rude. I was extremely upset and told him so. He could have cared less. I also asked for my $95.00 check since they now had the title. They told me it was locked in the safe and they couldn't get it until the next morning. I said I would pick it up on the 30th when I picked up the car from the service department. When I got there on Wednesday, July 30 I was told by the finance manager, Craig, that all my paperwork was in Elgin and the check was in that paperwork. He said he would get it the next day and mail me the check as soon as he received it. McGrath Honda St. Charles has not fulfilled any of the promises they made me. I ended up being at the dealership four days comprising many hours, a lot of time traveling back and forth and dealing with 3 different people in the sales/finance departments. I do not have my 1999 Civic back, they screwed up the installation of the remote starter due to not communicating with the service department, were rude and/or uncooperative, and I did not receive my $95.00 check until August 16.. I will never buy another car at that dealership.On the other hand, I am and always have been very impressed with the service department at McGrath. I had my 1999 serviced there whenever check-ups were due and never had any problems.

Inquired about 2014 Accord over the internet and person AT responded with a quote. I then responded with a different quote from another dealer. She then replied me 2 days later asking me if I was still in the market to buy the car. I wrote her back saying yes. Consequently, on the same evening, I was planning on purchasing a car from this other dealer, which I told her about. She then told me that she would talk to her manager and will call me back if they can compete the offer. She called and LEFT ME A VOICEMAIL saying the final price (out the door price), which was competitive with other offer. I called her back saying either my uncle or I would stop by that very evening and make the deal finalized. In a meanwhile, she assured me that when we get there, "everything will be ready". In the evening, my uncle and dad went there and talked to the salesperson about this. They knew about the deal and what not, so told them to wait as "they were busy". They then weighted and checked the car out (took about an hour or so). Salesperson then came with final paperwork, which was priced over $2000 than what I was told on the phone and in that voicemail. My dad told her about what AT and I talked about and what not, but they insisted they she probably have said that price by mistake (really?not once, twice, but three times by mistake). My dad called me and told me what was going on. I then tried calling AT, but guess what, it goes to her voicemail. I tried calling her 3 times in 10 minutes and same thing. Then I waited for about 5 more minutes and called for the 4th time and this time a receptionist transferred me to her phone without even saying hello (he checked my caller ID, I guess). So I am very positive that everyone there knew what was going on at this point. I called my dad back and told him to just walk out and they did.This whole experience was nothing but an insult to us. Their motive was just to harass us by calling there in person and not buying the car from another dealer. It was totally unprofessional from their end. I was really mad that night and wrote an email to AT expressing my concerns. She replied the next day apologizing and as expected she didn't know about this at all. She accepted what happened there as well.Since then, I have filed a complaint to Honda headquarters and BBB (Better Business Bureau) . I still have all those voicemails AT left me and emails as well. As a customer, I would NEVER EVER step into this place and I hope you won't too.

We were greeted by our sales person, Christie, in the lobby. Christie was very knowledgeable and gave us a complete tour of a new CRV. After having visited a number of other dealers in the area, it was refreshing to work with a sales person who genuinely cared about our needs. Buying a new car is a big decision for us. We never felt the "BUY IT NOW!" pressure that some of the other dealers (Nissan) in the area use. We were also impressed with how clean and organized the dealership appeared. An overall great experience!

I went to McGrath Honda on June 17th to browse new Civics. Right away I noticed something was different about this dealership when I wasn't swarmed by 10 sales people. Most of the time I make it half way out of the car before someone is in my face looking for a handshake. When I was ready for assistance, I went inside and spoke to the sales manager, Frank. Frank introduced me to Christie and she helped me for the rest of the process. After numerous questions (which were swiftly answered by Christie) I decided I was ready to purchase. While the finance department was drawing up all the paperwork, Christie helped me setup my new car. Everything from radio presets to when the doors lock and unlock. I would have never been able to figure this stuff out by myself. All this was backed by the McGrath Advantage, I knew that these people genuinely wanted me to feel comfortable. The air conditioning was even out in the building and Christie went to the vending machine and bought each of us a bottle of water. Absolutely first rate experience 100/100 stars, would buy again.

I made an online inquiry about a vehicle I saw on the McGrath website and it didn't take long bafore Max responded. He kept me updated on the availability of the CRV I was interested in daily until I was able to visit their store. Upon arriving, my daughter and I saw the car on the lot, In less than a minute we were approached by Jamie Lopez, this young man was amazing in that he was friendly, inquiring as to what I was interested in, explained the vehicle from one end to the other, took us on a test drive and has an amazing rapport with his customers, We didn't feel like running away from a high pressure sales associate pouncing on us, but more like a friend helping us find the perfect fit for my needs, which he did in a very professional manner. In all my years of buying cars, I have never come across anyone like him, He is an asset to your business . Kudos to both Jamie and Max...it was a long process but a pleasant one, I have never made that comment when buying a vehicle. I will definately refer friends to your dealership.. I had a really good car buying experience at the Mcgrath dealer in Saint Charles. We bought a CRZ from Derek who did a good job explaining the features of the car and letting us test drive one to make sure it was the car we wanted to buy. He never pressured us into any decision and gave us all the time we needed before we bought. We added some dealer installed options that were installed quickly and fit perfectly. When we went to pick up the car they even found us a way to save some extra cash which was very appreciated. All things considered the team there is friendly, knowledgeable, and was committed to finding us the car we wanted at a great price. That plus I got a fun car getting over 40 MPG. I encourage anyone looking for a Honda to go see the team at Mcgrath.

Bought brand new Honda CR-V as well as extended warranty. After a few days the tire pressure warning light went on in the dash, brought into dealership, and instead of checking the sensors in the tires, they just checked the pressure in each tire and adjusted pressure. After a few more days the alert light went on again, called jamie and asked if i could bring in to have the issue fixed. Jamie claimed there isn't a fix and instead offered to sell me a nitrogen package which would allow me to fill the tires with nitrogen, for an additional cost. If I knew I was going to buy a brand new car where a warning light would come on after just days of leaving the lot, from a dealership who's only solution was to sell nitrogen for the tires, I would have chosen a different car from a different dealer. When I google this issue online, most people claim that changing the tire sensors fixed their issue. No matter how many times I reset the warning light, it always reappears in the dash after 2-3 days.My next step will be contacting Honda corporate and demand this be corrected. Driving a brand new CrV with a warning light on in the dash is just not right.

I recently purchased a new car from McGrath Honda. I began my search for a new car online and requested quotes from 5 local Honda dealers. I personally visited 3 of them. McGrath had the second lowest online quote of the 5 dealers. Each dealer responded very quickly with a quote. I figured any dealer would match the lowest quote and surprisingly that was not the case with one dealer. After meeting with the 3 dealerships I found the staff at McGrath to be the most friendly and easy to work with. I worked with Mark Lubrano who was very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and willing to spend time to work with my wife and I. I purchased our new car from McGrath even though it is about 45 minutes from my house. The dealer 5 minutes down the road was that bad. I would recommend McGrath if you are looking for a fair price, honest employees and a great car buying experience.

I went into the dealer to trade in my car, I was pretty far upside down on the loan, and I was paying a VERY high interest rate. I've had some bad credit issues in the past, and now am on the road to a better future. Mark and Frank both have worked so hard to get me into a car that I can afford, AND one that I like. I also like that they don't treat me like a loser because of my credit history. They understand that people have made mistakes, and its important to focus on the future instead of the past. Drove 1.5 hrs on Saturday to see a hard to find Blk/Blk Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L. Just to see!!! Window Shopping...9:30AM arrive. Wife loves it, test drove, had her trade available too. Just bought a 2014 Honda Odyssey from McGrath. We went to the dealership and were greeted by Derek who asked us the reason for our visit. We told him about our choices and he got a vehicle for us to test drive. He went into details on explaining the vehicle and then asked us when were we looking to purchase. We were looking to purchase in the next couple of days. We also wanted a Black Odyssey with Truffle Color which they did not have in Stock. However Derek got us the car we wanted the very next day from a nearby dealership. Derek and Scott Lee not only gave us a GREAT price, but also explained the advantages of buying from them. My Wife was particularly interested in the Lifetime free car washes and with a great price which Derek and Scott gave us, we just sealed the deal. Carlos was the Finance Guy who got us a great rate and we were out of the dealership with a new car in 3 hours! What I found out was these guys went out of their way to give us a fair price and there was no pressure. Highly recommended.

I started with some online quotes through Edmund's and Jack and Tony were true partners in making sure that I got the best price compared to other quotes I had. Jack and Tony were professional, friendly, sincere and always informed us of what was going on. A MAN OF HIS WORD, JACK CALLED ON WEDNESDAY TO SAY THAT THE CAR WAS IN AND READY FOR ME TO COME AND GET IT.HE SPENT A LOT OF TIME PATIENTLY EXPLAINING ALL THE NEW AND WONDERFUL FEATURES OF MY NEW CIVIC AS WELL AS THE SERVICE OPTIONS THAT WERE AVAILABLE. WHEN THE CAR WAS BROUGHT UP FRONT, I THINK HE WAS AS EXCITED AS WE WERE! (IT IS A GREAT LOOKING VEHICLE.MY WIFE'S LEASE ON HER 2011 CR-V WILL BE UP AT THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER. I went there along w itch my wife and kids to buy a Honda odyssey today at 7pm. I was in the front office for 5 minutes before someone came to greet..said someone will attend to us and he excused himself...waited for 10 minutes before someone came asking if I was waiting for mike..I said I am waiting for someone to show me the vehicle, he walked off..then after a couple of minutes, a guy came introducing that he was the general manager and he will send someone to help us...none came...after around 10 minutes of wait, I walked towards a sales person and he asked me if I was waiting for Eric..when I asked if anyone will be able to help me..he said that they were short of people and are busy.. I only saw a couple of people sitting there for trading their vehicle...it was pathetic that I had to walk out after waiting there for close to 30 minutes..I will never go there and will not recommend them...I do not know how these guys are still in business...

Saw a great car on the lot on sunday. My first experience was with Nikki online, thorough, helped move me to the next step. Went into the dealership the next day to look at and test drive the 2003 Jaguar. Tony was my salesperson. Nice guy! Answered all my inquiries, took me for on a test drive in the pouring rain. I fell in love with the car, had to have it! The price we agreed on was a fair one. Nick helped complete the transaction. I'm a happy camper! Being a woman and going into a dealership can be intimidating. I was treated with respect and fairness. My husband came with me in the evening to pick up the car, we were offered a fair price for our trade-in. I would highly recommend McGrath! Nice job, guys! And I LOVE this car!

This is the third vehicle we have purchased from McGrath and each time it has been a great experience. Tony Kashif was very gracious and spent a lot of time explaining the features of the navigation system helping me determine that these were features that I will be able to use. The entire purchase process was transparent. Their price for the vehicle and options either matched or were lower than competing dealers. Tony's and Carlos' professional approach to purchase discussion made this a fast, easy and pleasant experience. It actually took my wife and I longer to select the color of CR-V we wanted than to agree on a purchase price. The other reason that I am writing this recommendation is because of excellent service we have received from the service department. The service staff gets the work done correctly and at the time promised. They recommend only maintenance you need or should do to keep your Honda running properly. From the sales staff to the service department, the people at McGrath Honda of St. Charles put a lot of effort into making customer service a priority.

My wife and I took my 2013 Honda Pilot in because it was shaking when the car got up to 70MPH. When i went in TJ Taylor told me since the Illinois law is 60 MPH all he can do is balance the tires and make sure nothing is loose. I looked at him just dumb-founded he had just said this to me. I still decided to leave the car there and have them at least make sure the balance was good. I called two hours later and was told the car was ready. I picked it up and two days later was on the highway and same thing again, felt the vibration on the steering wheel at 70MPH. I decided at this time i will call the Schaumburg Honda and have them take a look. But before i did that i happened to be at my other mechanics place getting my other car oil changed, and i told him about my Honda issue and told him what they supposedly did at the dealers. My wife was picking me up and he looked at the wheels and told me off the bat that nothing had been done. The original weights when car rolled of the line were still on the car.The next day my wife went to Schaumburg Honda and they took a look at the car, they confirmed that nothing had been done to the car. The balance was off. Schaumburg Honda actually even test drove the car and took it up to 90 MPH and when my wife told him what McGrath Honda had told her, he said that's BS and they are suppose to always test drive the car whenever they do wheel work! I will never ever trust McGrath dealers again!

I brought a brand new 2013 Honda civic EX. There price was really good. Bout they took to long to do our paperwork. We were expecting to get done by 4:00 pm. But we got done at 8:00 pm. There workers also did not clean the car well.

I shopped my trade-in, a 2004 Odyssey, to lease a 2013 new Odyssey at four dealers to see where I would get the best price. McGrath's initial offer was literally hundreds of dollars worse per month than every other dealer I visited. When I balked at their offer, they said they could knock it down a couple of dollars per month, which was still a much worse deal than I was offered everywhere else. When I balked again, they asked me to place a deposit on a vehicle and come back the next day. In short: bad prices, gamesmanship, and pressure tactics. Why would I want to shop there again?

I had my oil changed a few months ago at McGrath Honda in St. Charles. Then, my wife went to Firestone for a tire problem and they found out the oil was overfilled and needed to be drained. So I took the car back to McGrath Honda in St. Charle to drain the oil.The manager (John, I didn't get his last name) said after checking service record on their computer,"Yes, it is overfilled. I will give you 'the benefit of the doubt' and we will correct it". "The benefit of the doubt"?, what was he implying? I thought it was an inappropriate comment, especially since I had to waste my time going there and waiting due to their mistake.He said it would be done in 15 minutes, so I didn't say anything and waited in the lobby.He was passing by me a few times while I was waiting in the lobby for 1 hour. I finally got up and went out to check on the progress. The car was sitting outside. So I asked John whether the service was done. He said that he thought someone already told me that car is done.He saw me waiting all those times, and didn't bother to ask me?One good thing from this experience is that now I know I wouldn't go there again.

In September, 2012 me and my wife went to McGrath Honda to exchange out CRV for a new CRV. We orignally agreed to obtain a 2012 CRV but had to order one which was fine by us. After about a week our sales person, Derek Hulke called me to let me know that although our 2012 CRV would be late asked me if it would be allright if we would instead rather get a 2013 CRV for the same price. Needless to say I said "yes" and we obtained the very same CRV only it was a 2013. Overall, we were very satisfied with our purchase and we would reccomend to anyone looking to purchase a new Honda to go to MsGrath Honda as they will work with you to give you a great deal.

Purchased a used vehicle. Taking into consideration that there is one Sales Manager at the location, was taken care of properly. Very pleased with this dealership. Coming in a few years later to purchase a new car. Highly recommended looking into even their used inventory. Was looking at one car, but it had left the lot. Was helped by the sales person for something similar that I was looking into. So far, SATISFIED with my new pre-owned auto. Only downfall would be all of the paper work needed to fill out. Last December, my husband and I purchased a CRV and Derek Hulke and Chris McGrath were the sales people we worked with. We have been so pleased with the vehicle, along with the service and expertise they provided us when we purchased the CRV. On Monday 10-29-12, I drove to Costco in St Charles with my 2 year old granddaughter and when we came out the CRV wouldn't start. I called the service dept and they immediately sent a person to jump the vehicle and then I drove to the service dept in St Charles to have the battery checked. It was entirely my fault for running the car without it completely on (I won't do that again) while we were waiting for Costco to open. The service dept checked out the battery and everything was fine and I was on my way. I can't tell you enough how relieved I was to have the service dept assist me so quickly and thoroughly especially with a 2 year old in the car. Everyone was so helpful and I wanted to pass on my appreciation for the great service that is offered at McGrath Honda in St. Charles.

I was very happy to recommend my sister to McGrath Honda of St. Charles. She was very impressed by Mr. Davis's approach to selling her a Honda. Purchased a white Honda Odyssey over the Memorial Day weekend. Chris McGrath and Derek Hulke both worked with us and they were extremely helpful. It took a bit to get our exact car of choice, but they had it, as promised on the delivery date. It was our first experience with McGrath Honda in St. Charles, and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience compared to many of the other dealers I've bought from in the past or visited while shopping for this car. I'd highly recommend the dealership.

My husband and I traveled from Ohio to look at a used CR-V I had found online. McGrath Honda had the best price within 300 miles of our location! Prior to our visit I had been conversing with Rick, Jason and Jason via email. Because I was considering driving over five hours to purchase a car I had MANY MANY questions. Each employee was very professional and polite, all my questions were answered, so we made the trip. My husband and I were a bit anxious but we both agreed to walk away if something was not right or the car was misrepresented in any way. From the moment we walked in we were impressed. We were immediately greeted, we met Rick (love his sense of humor OMT) and he introduced us to Jeremy who assigned to be our sales rep. Jeremy was the epitome of professionalism while also being polite and SINCERELY personable. We drove the car and found it was exactly as described no surprises! We felt the car pulled a little to the right. Jeremy had this taken care of with a four wheel alignment on the spot. Jeremy was extremely knowledgeable, not just of Hondas but other vehicle models as well. It is difficult to explain just how impressed my husband and I were with Jeremy. Because it was an out of state purchase and we had chosen to use our own financing the sales process took awhile. During this time we were treated like family. Dan was our financial rep. and again due to our circumstances he had double the work to do. Dan was knowledgeable and polite; and made the process easy. My husband and I would recommend this dealership and we would travel there again to purchase a vehicle. Anyone considering McGrath Honda ask for JEREMY PROS you will be impressed!

Carlos Fuentes was the consummate professional. Carlos worked hard to find me a vehicle that met my needs (price, style and condition of vehicle). Carlos is destined to have quite a career with Honda or anywhere else he chooses. Dan De La Font was also friendly and clearly laid out the terms of my loan and warranties available. I was highly disappointed in Mendoza (the manager). From the initial phone call I made inquiring about a vehicle that I was interested in, to the moment that I drove away in the vehicle, I was treated with respect at this dealership. The manager and salesman were honest, upfront, and easy to work with. Carlos was informative and friendly. Jason was generous enough to work with me on the price of the vehicle. After buying three used cars in two years, I have been to my share of dealerships, but the McGrath's have been the best, by far. This McGrath Honda dealership in particular has been the best to work with overall. During a time when the used car market is in a decline, finding a dealership with a decent selection of used vehicles was difficult enough, let alone at a fair price. McGrath Honda was the only dealership I visited during my search that had a vehicle that fulfilled my wishlist and budget needs. I will definitely return if I am ever in the market for a car again, and I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to friends and family.

We had a great experience at McGrath Honda in St Charles. They worked out the perfect price for me and when I wanted a color that wasn't in stock (and very hard to find) they found it for me. My only complaint... I had asked about remote start and they told me it would add about $7 or $8 to the monthly payment. But when I actually signed the paperwork it had raised the monthly payment by $13. I know it's only a $5 difference but I wanted to keep my payment under $300 and that extra $5 pushed me right over.

The selection of new hondas is great. Derek Hulke helped me pick the perfect new Honda Accord I was looking for. Once I found it, I shopped around, I could not beat the price or the customer service.The Accord was a surprise for my wife and the staff at McGrath went above and beyond to get the car ready in short notice.I highly recomend McGrath Honda.

Joe Gallant was our salesman. He was very helpful, curtsies, and knowledgeable.The whole experience went very smoothly. I bought a 2011 Honda Fit sport Nav.And I am very pleased with it. I went on a trip to Louisville, Kentucky over Memorial Day weekend. I set my cruise control for 55mph the whole way there. The trip was 350miles one way. I checked the miles per gallon gage and found that I had gotten 48.9 mpg.I could not believe it, so I filled the tank and did my own math and came up with the same figure. I am telling everyone I know how great a car my Fit is. I am very happy with; the McGrath dealership, Joe Gallant, and my new Fit.ThanksJerome Pampinella

McGrath Honda of St. Charles was a very snooty sort of place. I did not feel important or welcome here. The sales associate I initially worked with was not as knowledgeable as the one I worked with on the return to the store. Mr. McGrath made me feel like I was not good enough for his dealership. He talked down to me, and would not give me a straight answer about my financing. In addition, two different employees told me that other dealerships are "giving cars away" and they could not reduce their price. In addition, they could not give me a competitive trade in value for my 2001 Honda. Way to stand behind your product!I will never return to this dealership, not even for free air.I am extremely happy with my new 2011 Honda CRV and very appreciative of another dealership that puts customers first.I have already warned many of my friends and associates about the lack of customer service at this dealer.

Bruce N was very friendly and professional. I was having trouble choosing between an Accord and another car. I test drove 3 different Accord trim lines. Bruce was patient and answered all my questions. The dealership also provided a very competitive price on an Accord SE. In the end, I chose a different model car to purchase but would recommend this dealership to others.

Terrible! The salesman refused to let us LOOK at a car until he ran our credit score. We have very good credit and good jobs, but I had no idea if I wanted a Honda. He said he didnt want to waste his time several times and refused to show us a car until we allowed him to check s our credit. We ended up walking out. He looked very unprofessional with an un-tucked shirt and unraveled tie and acted terribly. Horrible experience! Do NOT go here!

The McGrath Honda dealership in St. Charles, IL is not a dealer that I recommend. We were lied to by the sales manager and our sales associate. They tried to sell us a van that they had just received from an auction but insisted that it was in perfect shape and would qualify to be a Certified Pre Owned Vehicle (even though they hadn't looked at it yet). We were ready to sign the papers but asked first for the Carfax report. They assured us that a Carfax wasn't available for this car because it was a dealer loaner vehicle. I presented them w/ paperwork from the glove box of the car that showed that it was a privately held vehicle. Then they brought us the Carfax that showed a major car accident and multiple servicing before and after the accident. Then the sales manager came over and said the car was still in tip top shape and not to worry about the quality of the car. I explained that since it was in a major accident that I would at least like to have my mechanic check it out. They said their department would give it a quality inspection and that they'd be in touch.
