Bought a Brand New KIA Forte 5 back in May and the car had some scuffs on the bumper which they said they would fix on their tab (apparently an employee was moving the car and damaged it) . After signing all the paper work and writing down that the repairs would be performed, we have been waiting 6 months to hear from them. To this day they refuse to give me an answer or reply to my e-mails. This is how you lose customers. Goes to show you can not trust car sales men any where. If you plan to buy a car, go somewhere else, these guys are not honest.

I have bought 4 vehicles from Mike Murphy Kia. I bought a soul in 2010. Then an Optima, then a Cadenza. Now I am on my second Cadenza. Each purchase has been so smooth. I also have always used Mike Murphy Kia for my service and let me tell you-the service is great. I highly recommend Mike Murphy Kia for anyone who is in the market for a new vehicle. From start to finish the company did nothing but withhold information, and push.From withholding the sales price before and after a test drive, to belittling comments, forceful wording, non-stop side-stepping around questions and pointing fingers. The car was returned due to B.S. with the financial department.. they ran my credit report over 14 times, only the first run was approved or asked about. They tried several different companies and in the end refused to return most all of the down-payment, threatening to call the cops if we didn't leave after we refused to sign a paper saying that we agreed to let them keep all of the down-payment due to our refusing to vacuum the car. I loved the car but I'd rather buy a junker that dies after a week than deal with these xxxxxxx again... At least I'd know what I was getting myself into then.

I had been looking for the turbo version of the Forte which they had. They were very competitive with other dealers for the same car. I would recommend this dealer absolutely

I went in to trade my 2013 sportage. I ended up leasing a 2016 Sport age and I absolutely love it. My salesman was Winston and he was great. He was so good and gave us h a good deal that my husband also bought a car the same day (a Cadenza). When we are ready for new cars again, we will definitely look for Winston again.

I purchased a brand new KIA in April 30, 2015. I was told to go to the tag office in about 2 weeks to get my tag. They never filed the paperwork, and I can't get anyone to return my phone calls to explain the problem.

Mike Murphy Kia is the WORST dealership ever. I have been dealing with this dealership for the past 6 months. They sold us a car with promises to refinance us in six months. They don't even do refinancing! Then they told us the sales person you worked with screwed you and many other people so we want to make it right. They did a trade in for us and then said opps we filed fraudulent claims under your name and the bank rejected your loan. They have ruined our credit. They never paid off the car we traded in and are now giving it back to us after the payments are now behind.(I have never been late on a payment) and making us bring back the Kia we traded in for back. On top of all this they are being rude and acting like all this is my fault. PLEASE NEVER BUY A CAR FROM MIKE MURPHY KIA.

I'm sorry it has come to this but you leave me no choice. No one will take my phone calls anymore. Angie, Trey and Clyde, still waiting for that call back. I leased my car in 2012 and was extremely happy. Kept my car in mint condition and then when my lease was up, came back to Mike Murphy KIA to purchase the car. Waited. And waited. Eventually ended up leaving because "they were still printing off the documents" turned out to be them printing off another person's documents. That's fine, it was the weekend, only one finance person there. Did I mention I lived 6 hours away and the Kia dealership where I lived didn't want to honor my 0$ purchase option stated on my lease agreement which is what brought me back to Mike Murphy to start with?Got my car tags, new bill of sale and off I went. Curiously, never received anything from Kia about paying my first payment. Called up Kia, can't get a hold of Trey, Angie or Clyde. "They're with a client right now" or "They'll call you back in a few minutes". Then the kicker, KMF sent me a bill for the disposition fee. Disposition fees are the fine you pay when you just return your leased car. Called up KMF, Mike Murphy KIA never sent in my Bill of Sale. Okay, I'll do their job for them and send in my paperwork. It must be a theme because a week later, another statement saying I still needed to pay it. Tried calling Trey, Angie or Clyde but no one wanted to answer or call me back. Called up KMF AGAIN, they never received my fax yada yada emailed it in, boom. Confirmation that I did indeed purchase my car and they took the fee off my name. As time went along, had to get my tag transferred from having been leased to being purchased. Drove down to the DMV (and visited family, have to make the most of these 6 hour trips) and lo and behold...the title hasn't been released. Trey, Angie or Clyde, any help? Still nope. Called a lovely lady and she assured me that KIA would pay for the fees for the title not being released and having to get a 2nd temporary tag. Welp, my 2nd temporary tag is about to expire and the title is still not released. Trey, Angie, Clyde, Why me? The sooner you help me solve this problem, the sooner I'll stop calling and calling and calling. This all started March 17. It is now May 19. It should not take 2 months, multiple phone calls and rotten reviews to get stuff done. Will you pay for my rental when my last temporary tag expires in 3 days? Next step, the BBB. Again, hate to do it but you literally leave me no other option.

My recent purchase from Mike Murphy Kia has been my best car buying experience by far! Ever! Before going to Mike Murphy Kia, I stopped into one of the other local dealers who I felt was too pushy and pretty much insisted I was signing papers before I left. Also, the interest rate this dealer offered me was high but they made it sound like that was a good interest rate for my credit. They also would not budge off the asking price because "the car was already marked down to the lowest price." I left there feeling like I would just have to accept high interest rates and that I had no room to negotiate because of my credit. I decided to stop by Mike Murphy just to look but was expecting the same song and dance that I received from the other dealer. Melissa Krauss with sales met me outside and was easy to work with and I never felt pressured to buy a car. I looked at several cars and Melissa and the finance dept. worked hard to put me in my favorite car and still keep me in the price range I needed to be in. And they BEAT the interest rate the other dealer offered me by 3.2%! They never made me feel like my credit was not good enough. I felt like a valued customer. Mike Murphy Kia not only gave me a great interest rate but they also negotiated with me on the asking price of the car. For the first time ever I left a car dealership and felt like I truly got a good deal! Craig Berry handled the paper work for the purchase and he never tried to sell me anything "extra" with my loan that I did not need. I will definitely go to Mike Murphy Kia for future purchases and recommend them to everyone! Job well done Mike Murphy Kia!!!!! And did I mention that I love my Sorento!

If you are looking for a vehicle, Mike Murphy Kia is a MUST! Even if you don't see something you like on their website, swing by! They can get ANYTHING! I wasn't sure what I wanted in a new car, but I figured I would stop by and see what they had to offer. I found a 2012 Ford Focus on the lot that I really liked, but it was blue and I was set on getting a black car! After sitting down with Mike Murphy, Angie Niece, and Tre' Dorrity, they pulled up a black 2013 Ford Focus that had just gotten traded in at their Ford lot in Darien. It was PERFECT! Everyone there was knowledgeable and kind. I will never buy a car from anyone but these guys! Mike Murphy Kia is the BEST place to buy a car!

My wide has loved the look of the Kia Optima since its big remake a few years ago. She wanted one but was not sure. While in Brunswick for some errands we visited the Mike Murphy Kia dealership. I had already previewed their vehicles over the internet along with similar vehicles in Jacksonville. Oliver quickly answered our questions and I told him his prices were higher than those listed in Jacksonville. He stated we will match or meet any of those prices. We selected a vehicle and took it for a test drive. I drove it initially and then my wife took over since this was to be her car. We were both impressed with the ride and quality of the Optima. We arrived back at the dealership and my wife wanted to see one of the Cadenza's. My wife looked them over but like the over all look and sportiness of the Optima. Then she had to decide on which "White" Optima she liked the best. I had no doubt that she would pick the top-of-the-line one but I had to agree it was the best looking and had the options she wanted with a few extras. Within 10 minutes or arriving, Mike Murphy Jr. greeted us and thanked us for visiting. I have to admit, you don't meet many owners when buying your car. Oliver haggled over our trade-in. I had already researched its trade-in value and indicated what I needed to trade. A few minutes later we were given our trade-in value. Mike Murphy Kia installs some add-ons to enhance the vehicle, mud guards, hood guard, rubber mats front, back and trunk and wheel locks. I generally add these same things to my vehicles and was glad to have them and through some haggling, got a great deal. When the finance man, Chris, came to us, he had the initial paperwork for our review with options if we wanted. No pressure, just simple down-to-earth explanations and great prices for the extended warranty. I can honestly say that this had to be the friendliest dealership I have ever worked with. They truly care about you. Their service department was closed but the employees were conducting an inventory. I saw them, asked a question and they stopped and assisted me. If you want to be treated fairly and get great service and attitude, visit Mike Murphy Kia, I highly recommend an Optima. My wife loves hers. Max

When I entered the dealership I was just looking( my car was totaled in January ) as I walked up Oliver asked if he could help me and I told him I was looking for a 2013 or demo sportage Oliver showed me two and I told him they where a little pricey he then asked me if I would consider a 2014 soul. I told him I didn't know( we took a test drive) then I told him I would have to know price and that's when mike came into the picture he ran my credit ( it is great!!!) told me prices I said I couldn't do it he got it down for me. Then in comes Chris he had all the paper work. I signed my life away(haha) and left with my new car. And so far I LOVE IT!!!!

well it wasnt bad but it wasnt good either, i was told that something could be done trading out my vehicle and after three days i was told in a text that things were looking good and that the deal was gonna be lower than that of my original payments or right at it, but when he gave us the numbers it was way above what was told and texted to me by about 200 dollars more. we are very upset about that, all we wanted was something a little higher up than the kia rio and all we wanted was the basic, auto trans, power locks and windows no murphy package and that could not be met...i have no idea why, i will get in touch with mr murphy saturday even if this dont get published ...i thought dealers were supposed to listen to the customer....oh my bad its me they dont have to listen to..........ps dont know if i would recommend it but i had to put an answer

Our Salesperson AJ Salimando was friendly, knowledgable, honest, and worked with us, listened to our wants and needs and delivered. He went above and beyond what I would expect of any sales person and we will buy again from him. lWe felt we not only got a good deal but made a great friend. Craig Berry the sales manager and Chris Sadowsui the finance manager also worked with us to deliver the best deal they could put together inspite of a very difficult trade-in situation. We felt we were treated so much like family we seriously considered inviting them all to Sunday dinner. We love the car, are very satisfied with the deal and the dealership.

I had a 2006 Honda Civic that was getting up there in mileage and I was looking to trade it in. I wasn't sure what make or model I wanted and had been shopping around for a while. I had seen the Kia Soul around but had never actually been in one and I was curious to see if it would fit my needs. I was looking for something economical that would easily allow me to transport my 2 dogs around and still be fun to drive. Turns out the Kia Soul! fit the bill for me. After checking out a few vehicles on the lot that didn't really appeal to me for one reason or another, AJ handed me the keys to a black 2013 model that had recently been traded in and said "go for a ride". I took it for a brief test drive I decided that I liked the vehicle but the asking price was more than I wanted to spend. After a brief conversation with AJ and Mr. Murphy I was ready to leave and continue my search for another vehicle. Now at least I knew what I wanted, I just had to find an older model or one with a few more miles on it in order for me to buy it. Before I could get out the door Mr Murphy surprised be by offering me a deal I couldn't refuse. Not only did he offer me a little more than what I was asking on my trade, he also dropped the selling price of the Kia to within my purchasing range. My head was spinning and before I knew it I was signing the paperwork and driving off the lot with a freshly washed and detailed, practically brand new loaded Soul!. I will definately be sharing my positive experience with Mike Murphy Kia of Brunswick with anyone who is in the market for a new or used vehicle. Thanks guys, Merry Christmas!

My family has done business with Mike Murphy for the past 4 years.4 vehicles have been purchased there and regular visits have been made for regular maintenance.Other service issues were taken care of at this dealership on other Kia vehicles we owned before we ever purchased a vehicle there.At no time during any visit has the experience there been anything but pleasant.The service staff has always shown skill, and the sales staffers have always been very helpful. The standout on the sales side is,for us, Kenny Mukes.He has always "Bent over Backwards," to make a sale., and he has been successful on 3 occasions.Every transaction goes through either Mike Murphy Jr., or Mike Murphy Sr. They have also done everything to make a sale.On our last buy, Gabby Renel wasted no time in responding to my questions, which helped me to assist my Sister in buying a vehicle.Kenny Mukes and Chris Sadowski went full bore on the transaction and upon approval of Mike Murphy Jr., it was a "Done Deal." No sale would have been made here if I was not satisfied with service or staff issues at Mike Murphy Kia. The Mike Murphy staff have made 4 sales. It speaks for itself. I don't know who would not be satisfied with the Mike Murphy Kia dealership in Brunswick Ga. I refer people all the time to go there. Chances are that these vehicles will be the last ones we will purchase.Along those lines , I must say that I am glad to have dealt with Mike Murphy Kia!

Went in because having problem with another dealer. These guys went way FAR beyond any service I had ever received at any dealership!! April and Larry were superb in their knowledge and friendliness.

Kimberly, Craig and Chris are the best car dealers ever. I have never been to a car dealer that was as pleasant, concern about my payments as they were, they helped me get the best deal ever. As amazing as its sounds they cared. I was very surprised on the treatment that i received and i will be more than happy to go out their and recruit for Mike Murphy Kia and I sure will tell them to see Kimberly, Craig and of course Chris. Heather was not only very friendly and helpful to making this deal possible she also washed and detailed my new car herself after the regular guy went home sick. This was the friendliest car dealership my husband and I have ever visited and even the people not involved with our sale greeted us as if we had been friends. We felt that our team was honest and worked hard to get what we wanted. I enjoyed the whole experience from the time we arrived on the lot from the time we left with our new 2013 Kia Soul. I like the saleslady. She was very friendly and worked with you. She worked very hard to try and sell us a "new" car, but we had to stay within our budget, so we got a very nice (almost new) used car that we are very satisfied with. Also, I had been shopping for a car for over six months, so I had good idea as to what I wanted. I had looked in Jacksonville, FL for a Kia, but I decided on using the Georgia dealer, so I wouldn't have to pay Forida and Georgia sales tax, as I live in GA.

I did a lot of research and I came in prepared, but I was looking for a new Soul and just wanted to see the color options in person. I found a loaded used Soul that checked my boxes. Mike Murphy honored three different incredible deals for me that made it a completely affordable purchase (I'd go so far to say a steal!). Heather was patient, really knew her information, treated me with respect, and gave no high-pressure sales pitch. Chris was very personable and put a very friendly face on the finance, even though I didn't end up going in-house. All in all, the three of them stayed late, worked with me, and went above and beyond to make it comfortable and even enjoyable. Who ever hears that about a car buying experience?!I'm so incredibly happy about my experience with them and I would recommend them to anyone who wants something they have. It's so refreshing to be able to buy in Brunswick and not have to go to Jacksonville or Savannah. These people are first rate!

Talk about "TEAM WORK"! I have never been so impressed as I was on my recent visit to a Kia dealership! Kimberly, Eddie, Chris S, and Craig were the most wonderful group of people that I have had to deal with in quite awhile. I did not feel pushed, rushed,or bombarded while looking for my new car. This is the 4th Kia that we have purchased and with each one we have gotten nothing but great service out of them. We even named our dog Kia(LOL).

UPDATE: The day after our first experience, Mike Murphy Jr. called me to make things right. I got the deal I wanted and the car I wanted. I hope mine was a one off experience and not indicative of the typical sale. I love my new Kia Soul and am glad I did not have to go out of town to buy it. Thank you to Mike Murphy Kia for doing everything possible to keep this sale! My review is based on my experience with the man that Oliver took us to for final pricing, I did not get his name. First, he presented fuzzy math, giving us "$4000" off but then trying to add it back by taking it off my trade in value. Let me just say, as an accountant, I can figure numbers in my head faster than a calculator and I knew from the start they were trying to screw us. Then he wanted to devalue my trade because it "needed new tires". We asked if he wanted to see the paperwork where we had bought new tires the month before. Then he undervalued the trade on KBB and when I presented my printout from KBB with the actual trade in value and what they were likely to sell it for, he began to get beligerent with me, raising his voice more than once. Needless to say, we will be taking our business to an out of town dealership. I wasn't born yesterday, and to treat me that way was very insulting. His customer service skills are quite lacking. However, Oliver Goodloe could not have been nicer. It is too bad we won't be buying from him.

My daughter bought a used kia rio which is a great car, I own a 2007 rio sx myself. My daughters is a 2010 lx which she purchased from a different dealer, the problem with the car was that it only came with 1 key. We all know that 1 car key is not a good idea after trips to the purchasing dealer and no resolve we called Mike Murphy who went above and beyond the call of duty to get the parts needed and made sure that the keys worked all door locks and ignition despite the fact that we didn't purchase it from them. I am very pleased with experience we encountered with the service department. My next Kia will be purchased at Mike Murphy Kia.

I went in for routine maintenance on my '08 Kia Spectra I had bought a couple of years ago from this dealer. I have always gone back there for maintenance because have been VERY happy with their personal attention and care. Having put a LOT of miles on my Spectra, I was not surprised when they did find more than routine work that needed attention - specifically the brake calipers, etc. Getting ready to take a LONG trip, the service manager was very concerned about getting this work done, but the cost would mean I would have to cancel my trip (it was NOT unreasonable cost for the work, but I was already on tight budget for the trip.) So I got the brilliant idea to look into trading in the Spectra for something newer. Kimberly Murphy came to my assistant and she was SO VERY kind, helpful, not at all pushy, but very delightfully enthusiastic that before it was over, I was driving out in a BRAND NEW 2012 Kia Forte!!! Mike Jr. was involved in some of the "dealing" and was also VERY kind and helpful. The Bubby, the finance manager, did some more magic and it was HUGS all around. The lobby was bustling with staff as well as customers, but everyone on the staff who crossed my path congratulated me and made me feel like royalty...it was a totally delightful experience and I am already trying to talk folks into going there to see what they might do for them...even people who were not thinking about buying a car...after all, I wasn't either when I got up that morning!!! Oh, and by the way, I LOVE MY NEW CAR AND MY NEW FRIENDS AT MIKE MURPHY KIA!!!

I absoultely LOVED my sales person Sharon Rodgers!!!! She was very professional and explained everything perfectly. She was honest and friendly, something you don't find very often at a car dealer ship. Most salesmen are just intrested in getting you in to anything as long as they make a sale. i orginally visited to purchase a new Sorento, but after a few trys my payments were a little too high for the vehicle i wanted. She worked with me to find the best car for my family (including 3 boys and lots of sports equipment) that was resonably affordable. I ended up wiht a Borrego. and i am completley in love with it. Thanks so much to the friendly staff of Mike Murphy Kia!!!!

this dealer advertised $8000 minimum trade on any car and a new soul with trade for $9990. of course when i got there they did not have any of the souls that were advertised for that price. they also would give me $8000 for my trade, but then wanted to take off $2000 for "reconditioning" of my trade. this is just shifty to me. i wasted 2 1/2 hours here. i dont feel like car dealers need to resort to trickery.

I had a bad experience with Savannah KIA and decided to phone Mike Murphy KIA in Brunswick which was only an hour away. I talked frankly with Mike Murphy Jr. about the price I was willing to pay in detail and he agreed that it was a fair deal. Since we had to order the vehicle (they are a hot selling item & I wanted specic color and packages), there was a chance that the 1.9% financing would not be available when the vehicle arrived. He assured me, of course after checking my credit, that the figure we agreed upon would still be honored if KIA didn't extend the financing date. When the vehicle came in, of course KIA raised the interest rate to 2.9%. Mike Murphy KIA still honored the 1.9%, but, we had to use another creditor (didn't bother me ). Of course it helped in this situation to have good credit. He still honored his word and that is something special nowadays. In short, I got a great car for a great price from a dealership with integrity.

My husband and I went into Mike Murphy Kia expecting to get the usual high pressure sales pitch from pushy salesmen, where the only thing on their mind was a sale. We really have to say it was nowhere near that. It was the best car buying experience that I have had in a long time. Kimberly was great and could not do enough to help us. She is very knowledgable on the Kia products and was great to work with. Alan also helped and we must say the whole experience was awesome. I would give all the staff there A BIG THUMBS UP. I walked in to MikeMurphyKia while on vacation having already done what I thought was most of my homework investigating mid-size SUV's in particular the all wheel drive models. Mike spent a good amount of time going over the differences in models and pricing even though I mentioned to him that I was just starting to look, where previously the Sorento was not one of my top choices I have now added it as a viable option once I make my purchase due to Mike's knowledge of that car and the Kia corporation. We went to do a double trade, we wanted to trade in two vehicles and get two new ones. We were in contact with a salesman for a week prior and gave all the specs. such as amount owed mileage etc...on both vehicles we wished to trade. We gave a price of what we could afford for the payments and our credit is excellent. We were told after a couple of days that yes they could do what we wanted to come on in. Once we got there we were told that our current vehicle had been in an accident and had been hit hard. We were then shown vehicles that was not what we had requested they were a scaled down version as well as a different models all together than what we had spoken about over the phone. We left the dealership in our old vehicles after we were told that our payments would be $300.00 dollars more than what we told them we could afford and they also wanted $3500.00 down. None of which was discussed prior. We felt like we were manipulated into thinking one thing and once they got us there they did what they wanted. When we left we got a carfax after being told it had been in an accident which it had not so my husbnd called and spoke with the owner of the company himself, he appologized for what had occured and said he would do everything in his power to make it right. It has been 5 days now and we haven't heard from him oh yeah he said he would call us back first thing the next morning but not yet. I feel they are dishonest and I would not recomend them to anyone wanting reliable and honest service.
