I have bought at least 20 cars over my lifetime, and never have I had such a great experience at a dealer I have two Mini's now, and that is because of the great service I received while my first one was in the service department. In a day and age when everyone is out to make a fast buck, it is so nice to go to a place that remembers what customer service is all about! I bought my new Mini from Seth Young, and he is by far the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable sales person I have ever encountered. Kelly Murchie is my service rep, and she is honest and a joy to work with. She always lets me know what my car needs or doesn't need. She emails me when the car is done, and can explain what was wrong. A quality product and Great service, that is MINI of Charleston.

I pulled up at 5.50 on thinking they closed at 8 pm, parked my car and started to walk around to look at the cars parked outside. A woman wearing jeans yelled Maam! ma'am ,could you please move your car! My customer wants to take a picture of their new car next to their old car and your parked in the wrong spot! "And by the way we are closed anyway! Come back another time! "I pulled my car out of the spot, went to leave When I saw the car that I drove an hour to see so I stopped, and went to look at the sticker. The same saleswoman dressed in jeans yelled at me again....! Please just come back another time.! So rude and unnecessary and off putting. I'll never go back.

Mary Skinner is the most friendly and knowledgeable sales person ever. She helped us secure the exact Mini we wanted, then helped my father order one from England. She would not let my 90 year old father purchase his Mini coupe until he drove one. We live in Lexington, but do not mind the drive to Charleston because the people are so nice. We keep in touch with Mary because she has become our friend. She is not a "pushy" car sales person. And we love our Minis!

Rya is awesome! She made my first day of car shopping a breeze and loves what she does. I came in asking about a specific car I found through USAA which wasn't even on the lot yet or ready for sale but they were very accommodating and showed it to me anyways. Rya showed me a variety of minis within my budget and explained the different warranties and packages available. Overall a very honest dealership with friendly, helpful staff.

I am not a big fan of automobile service centers as they are usually not very customer-friendly. To my surprise, the people at MINI of Charleston have broken that mold. I have brought my car in for two scheduled services and waited each time. I was able to work in a quiet room and had good internet access during this time. My car was ready as promised making the overall experience outstanding.

I came in to check out the newer MINI's as I've driven a friend's older model in the UK. Fell in love with a 2010 Mini Cooper S Hatchback - Certified Pre-Owned. I thought it would be out of my range but Billy, the manager, made it happen. I only just posted the photo of when I got it tonight on Facebook and already have 3 dozen comments from jealous friends all over the world in less than 2 hours. I think I'll be going to sleep tonight with a smile on my face and something to look forward to driving tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that, and the day after that... Thank you MINI of Charleston!!!!

Ok, Mini's are not cute, they are fun! Buying our Mini was a great experience the service Seth at Mini of Charleston gave us was excellent, Seth didn't try to rub a car off on us, he patiently educated us on the whole new Mini thing and then let us pick the one we favored most. Seth obviously loves his Mini's he doesn't just sell them. We also receive a great warranty on the Mini that made us trust Mini so much better as we are all Ford F250 drivers. The Mini is really a lot of fun and very light on gas. Thank You Seth - we love our Mini!!!!!

I live in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was visiting Charleston and Savannah when I saw the dealership, Mini of Charleston. I had been considering a new Mini Cooper and was particularly interested in the new Roadster model. I pulled in and saw that they had an extensive inventory on the lot, so I decided to test drive one. I was so impressed with the car and loved everything about it right away, but what really sold me was the sales experience I had at Mini of Charleston and my salesperson, Mary Skinner. She was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and extremely helpful. There was no pressure whatsoever, but I knew that I would get all the help I would need in designing and purchasing my new car. I liked Mary so much, that I told her when I left the delaership that I would buy a new car from her. I am not sure she believed me since I live so far away! I went home, designed my car on the website, sent her the specs and after helping me with all my questions and decisions, she ordered my new Mini! When the car arrived, I flew to Charleston and met the rest of the sales team at the dealership, and had the same level of experience with all of them. Very courteous, helpful and very professional. I had 14 hours during the drive home to get acquainted with my new car, and it was the most fun drive ever! Mary had gone over all of the workings of the car, so I never felt uncomfortable or unfamiliar with any of the operations. It is absolutely the perfect car for me in every way and I could not be happier. I love my new Roadster - more than any car I have ever owned, and my experience at Mini of Charleston was the best ever. It was so worth the drive to buy from this particular dealership!

I could not of ask for a better experience. Mary went over all my options and the prices. Before I ordered my car she tried to locate on already on a lot or in the process of being ship. I will go back for a third time to this dealer ship, and hopefully Mary, when it comes time for a new car next time.

My husband and I bought two cars (mini, jeep compass) from RH in the last year. BOTH of us have had problems when trying to use the coverage ($1000.00) we bought for protection on the car . BOth of us have scratches and when we took the cars in to get repaired they offerred a paint touch up kit and said the scratches didn't fit under the clear coat warranty!2. I scheduled an appt for a oil change on my mini. Had to wait a week for a loaner car. Was at dealership at 7:30 on Savannah hwy. in Charleston and was told rudely that I DON"t need a oil change yet (i had 8500 miles on my car) and I said but I called a week ago and told them my mileage, the comment I received was well you must not have had a good car like this, My husband and I downsized from a cadillac and a volvo, so I didn't appreciate the smart remark.Then when I showed him the scrath on my mirror he said well I can order a paint touch up kit, I said no I want the mirror painted I have the coverage on my paint and he said no it doesn't cover a scratch!I drove over 40 minutes on a work day to have my car serviced only to be told, we don't service them at this mileage and I would have to come back. We bought two new cars with what we thought (we were incorrect) was a reputable dealership, since my husband is gone so much with his job he didn't want me to have any problems with the cars, or the ability to have a good souce for problems. I think the coverage for the body is a scam and a waste of money, I paid a $1000 and everything seems to NOT fall into the right category to utilize it! I had my new car a few months and the side mirror fell of a brand new car, and I called service and my sales rep and finally got a call from a manager who brought me a loaner and they took my car for the repair, but my first response from RH service was oh bring the car in we will see what we can do!!This was a brand new car, that as I was driving on 95 the side mirror just fell off! We are very dissappointed inthe service and promises of Rich Hendrick and his associates. We will not buy from them again> I manage a very large customer service department and as you know a satisfied customer will tell one or two people, but the person who is upset will tell 10 people ,well I can tell you that I am not a satisfied customer and I will not hesitate to share my experience with others.

I purchased a used 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from MINI of Charleston. During this process I was assured the vehicle was inspected and was even offered various warranty options. I did accept an engine and drivetrain option but this is unrelated. There were two separate service issues that occurred. 1. Poor respect for privacy requests. I was asked to sign a sheet allowing them to contact me after the purchase and I refused. I was told the sheet must be filled out to complete the sale but they would mark it "do not contact." I went so far as to mark it myself. The next week I received an automated call and complained to the associate. They blamed this mistake on a "database error." Do not sign anything allowing yourself to be contacted regardless of how they represent it.2. In a much more serious issue, after owning the vehicle for two weeks I noticed the plate over the passenger side seatbelt was missing. I searched the vehicle rear floor and could not find it. I tested the seatbelt and it does not function. It will not lock position in an accident. I contacted my sales rep and brought in the vehicle. I assumed safety was part of the inspection. I have since called their service line and was told they do a certified inspection of used cars and this includes safety inspection. However, they will not repair or replace the seatbelt. The most they were willing to offer would be to sell me the part or charge me full price to have it replaced. It seems minor but I had the assurances of their mechanics that the vehicle was sound and I spent two weeks with the most important person in my life sitting in that seat. I hate to think what would have happened if I had not noticed the issue myself. I now even questions my airbags, etc... If you decide to purchase from Rick Hendrick MINI of Charleston please be prepared to be bombarded with emails, phone calls, and little notes in your mail slot every day for at least a month. Do not expect any help if basic human safety is your concern. They will sell you a vehicle with faulty safety equipment and will not assist in repairing it.
