Bought a Ford 150 and was surprised when I had it checked out, that there were so many basic maintenance issues that were not even taken care of. It was sold As Is, but all the fluids needed changing, Oil Pan gasket needed to be replaced. transmission has a leak, Brake Fluid was very old etc etc. Coolant needed changing. At 81,000 miles, the spark plugs were original. It's the little things that count. The dealership failed here.No real offer to take care of anything.

The dealers name was John and he was amazing helping us find the right vehicle. All the sales staff and financing people including Kevin were so helpful through the entire process. It was a long day but it turned out to be amazing. Buyer beware! They made a mistake on my paperwork and overcharged me for my vehicle. I showed them the price printout they had given me and a screen shot of the price from cars.com. They admitted to making a mistake but told me that because I signed off on it, that is the new sale price! There is a reason they have an "F" rating on BBB. My advice is to shop elsewhere.

I went to the dealership after seeing a few used Minis online to see for myself. I found what I was looking for and then got in touch with a salesman. Chris Bennett was very polite and professional. Not pushy or trying to give the hard sale. I had a trade in vehicle and a pre financed check in hand so the negotiations were straight forward. There was no upsaling or slimey pressure. After having a TERRIBLE experience at another dealership the previous day, I walked into Auto Nation Mini a bit hesitant and uneasy. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and assisted right away. In less than 2 hours I was signing on the dotted line of a great car that I was so happy with. Recently purchased a 10k used car. Provided a check for the down payment. It was agreed the check would be held until financing was approved. Financing was approved, went in to sign revised official paperwork, decided to just have them debit my bank account for the down payment. Done, no problem. Got the check back. 30 days later they somehow cashed the check, even though we had the physical check, and my debit payment already cleared. As of writing MINI of Las Vegas has submitted the check to my bank twice prompting overdraft fees and calls from Chase fraud protection. This nearly locked the account down; luckily Chase is pretty understanding. We cannot get a hold of the finance manager or anyone at the dealership who is willing to assist us. All we can do is leave messages that are not being returned. My initial purchasing experience was less than stellar but I chalked it up to it being the typical car buying experience but these post purchase shenanigans are too much to not finally leave a review.

We found several cars we were interested in, online, at cars.com. We made inquiries, but Bryan was the most responsive. Since we lived out-of-state, we were unfamiliar with policies and procedures. Bryan was able to facilitate the purchase and financing. His caring and attention to detail made a great deal even better. Alexa, at the dealership, was able to complete the final paperwork in a timely and professional manner. I went in not expecting to be purchasing the car that same day but ended up doing so. They had the car I wanted at a good price so I decided to trade in my car and get the car that I really wanted. Overall a pleasant experience and I would recommend them to anyone. Just be patient when you first arrive as they seem to only have 1 customer service personnel and it might take a little bit before he is able to get to you. Good things are worth waiting for rather than rushing to buy somewhere else and possible regretting it later on.

My experience was great at first and Donald was awesome. My only issue is after the fact , I am told that I need to add more money to my down payment , which was never discussed with me beforehand. So, irs def a bummer and I think that is something they should make people aware of before they purchase the car. My experience at this dealer was by far the best dealer experience i have ever had. Jason was great and helped me get into a new Countryman. Jason is also a fellow MINI driver and was very knowledgeable about what he was selling. I think it is really great when the person selling is also a customer/fan of the product. Alexa, the finance manager, was also great to deal with. Also also a MINI driver/enthusiast, she offered insight into what add-on services were worth getting and wasn't trying to sell me everything she could. The atmosphere at this dealer is very refreshing compared to others I have been in. It seems very relaxed and feels more like an owner's club than a dealer. I will definitely be recommending this brand/dealer to my friends.

The first day I went to Mini of Las Vegas the representative was not very helpful. I assumed the way I was dressed that I might be just wasting his time. That Wednesday September 25,2015 I told him that I would be back on Friday to buy that car because I really liked it. I thought he should of been a little more professional on trying to more information from me to get me to come back. If I didn't really want that car I would not have come back. I returned to Mini of Las Vegas on Friday September 25th. I was approached by Xavier who answered every question I had. He was almost as excited as I was. The process was very quick and to the point. Mr. Taylor was very professional and good at what he did. I don't remember the other representative who I signed all my paperwork with, but he was very nice and kept me laughing. I had an appointment to get my car serviced for the 1st time since I bought the car and I was so shocked by how amazing I was treated. They were short handed because of the holiday weekend and they were super busy but they went above and beyond to make me happy. I was raving about a product in the mini store that I have always wanted but couldn't afford and they gave it to me as a courtesy because I had to wait a little longer for my car. They even gave me a loaner car so I didn't have to wait the entire afternoon for my car to be serviced. I have never felt so special and appreciated from a car dealership before. I will always have my Mini and I will never go anywhere else. They are so great at what they do, I really hope they get recognition for it.

I have wanted a MINI for some time and finally decided to go for it. I went to MINI of Las Vegas expecting them to be like any other car dealership. I was pleasantly surprised. My "motoring advisor" Chris was fantastic to work with. He is a MINI enthusiast and it shows. He answered all my questions knowledgeably, and did not pressure me into a sale. I did my research, and I feel like I got a fair price for the car I wanted. Chris has stayed in touch with me to answer questions, share tips, etc... I'm really pleased with the whole experience. Alexa in finance is also great. I came in with pre-arranged 3rd party financing because I didn't want that to be part of the price negotiation. They were able to get me a better rate. Buying a car is a business transaction. You need to go into it knowing what you're willing to pay for and where you draw the line. But if you go in with clear expectations and a good attitude, and you work with the right people on the other side of the table, it can be a great experience. The people I worked with at this dealership were the right people.

I drove 350 miles for a long 4th of July weekend and my son's birthday celebration when my engine light came on. I saw the car that I wanted on-line, and the deal seemed really great. I went in thinking that the price would change, as most dealers do this just to get you in the door, but it did not. This was my 3rd purchase of a Coop. I believe they truly sell themselves. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with a misogynistic salesman, that quite frankly ruined the entire experience from beginning to end. Every question, concern, level of indecisiveness was treated as an inconvenience to him. He never once reassured me on my choices or even opened up the door to my questions and concerns. Furthermore during the end of the purchasing process I was awarded only one set of car keys and was treated like an overbearing demanding customer when I demanded floor mats in my vehicle. Upon leaving the parking lot my salesman Cameron stared with a glare in his eye, while we all know he should of been SHAKING MY HAND appreciating my business. Unreal experience, if it wouldn't of been for the beautiful new 14 cooper s staring at me in the face I would of definitely taken my business elsewhere.

My wife and I visited Mini of Las Vegas to check out the Mini. We decided to purchase a 'Countryman' (demo unit) after we talked, got advice and answers to all our questions from Tony Bowler and Bryan Kneiding. Very friendly and professional advisors. Even Jason Castano, who handles finance/paperwork, left his office and accompanied us to the car lot to show me and my wife certain features we have forgotten the first time around. This was on a Monday. We were so satisfied with the product and the buying process. We went back on Wednesday and purchased a new 'Paceman'. This is the first time that we purchased two cars in three days!!! We can't believe it ourselves! Now we are happy members or the Mini family. Thank you to all!!!

Two sales people helped us with our purchase, they were great very helpful in answering questions and raising questions, but after sale things were not so smooth, although they found us a lower presentatage rate, everyone was to busy to take care of us in a timely fashion. when we left with the car the tank was on empty even though they said they would fill the tank half full. they told us it was someone else that was suppose to take of it.When a call was placed to the salesperson he lied saying that some cars don't come with blinker switches that self cancel (i haven't seen a 2007 not equipped with this feature )maybe on a motorcycle.

I had stopped by the Auto Nation Collision Center for work on my Toyota 4-Runner. I was looking for a used Toyota Tundra so I walked over to the Mini lot. There found a 2006 Tundra Access Cab SR5. The sales rep, Micky, was up front and very easy to work with. The vehicle was clean and had been gone through for mechanical issues. The engine compartment was very clean. Mickey was able to give me the best amount on my trade-in that I had found all day looking at 5 other lots. I have driven the vehicle for over a month now. It has be one of the best trucks I have purchased, and it is 8 years old. Oh and they even put some fuel in it for me.

Usually, it's exciting to get a new car. For me, I've been through the process a few times. Well, mini of Las Vegas has been a disappointment from day one. The day I purchase my car (BMW 328i) the window falls off track. After contacting the dealership, I was told the service department was closed and to come in the next day. I go the next day and they put and adhesive tape on the window. 20 days later I still have adhesive tape on my window...not fixed. The driver side mirror does not adjust. Again, another issue that was supposed to be fixed and 20 days later still untouched. I've been back and court to this dealership about 4 times since buying the car and I have not been compensated for my travels nor do I have any service completed on the car. So much for the excitement of buying a car. Needless to say, I won't be recommending this dealership to anyone!!!

I recently purchased a used Chrysler 300 from Mini of Las Vegas and must say that the experience was terrific. Buying a car, much less a used car, can be very exhausting and fruitless. I dealt with Alexa and Sal and they were fair, reasonable and very professional. After negotiating the terms for the car I wanted, we came to a mutually beneficial arrangement. I ran into trouble getting a check from my credit union on a Friday and even though I wouldn't be able to get them a check until Monday, Chris in the finance dept. wanted to make me happy and made it possible to let me drive away in my new car that day. Most places would never let that happen until check was in hand. I would like to thank Mini Cooper of Las Vegas for having a great sales and finance team and in particular Alexa, Sal, Shrie and Chris. I would highly suggest buying a new or used car from Mini Cooper of Las Vegas.

Dawn Trail was the service representative I met with to discuss setting up an appointment and providing services for my Mini Cooper. She was very receptive to schedule an appointment that would meet with my schedule, and she was very informative in terms of service costs and time lines to get my car back on the road in working order. I was very pleased with the waiting lounge, the cleanliness and vending area. It made my 3 hour wait more tolerable. Email to Alexa: Hi Alexa: Thank you for your help with the sales process on the 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. I appreciate what Kevin, Chris and yourself did during the sales process. You do have a slight problem though in your service department and its process! I called around 9:15 am on Wednesday, August 14th to request the possibility of picking up the new auto, having the 2012 Honda prepped, make the complete payment on the car and have the radar detector and license plate transferred from my VW Passat to the 2012 Honda. It was confirmed over the phone that I could pick the car up that day instead of Friday. I showed up just before 12:00 pm noon and gave the following in a bag to Chris and yourself. 1. Signed Title 2. Three keys for the VW Passat 3. Owners Manual 4. License plate covers for the VW Passat 5. A set of Wheel Lug Nut Key Lock ABC #9 Then I went to lunch at the Blue Ox Tavern and return to the sales area around 1:25 pm. I received the auto through Kevin about 13 minutes before 4:00 pm, just short of four hours after I brought my VW Passat to your office. When I went out to the parking lot to review the 2012 Honda I saw the following with Kevin. 1. The 2012 Honda was not washed or detailed. There was enough dust on the dashboard to draw letters and numbers. The trunk was filthy. 2. The license plate was not on the 2012 Honda, instead Kevin screwed a paper license plate showing a expiration of 9-11-2013. 3. I only received one key for the 2012 Honda................ not three keys like had on the VW Passat. See Attached............ 4. The radar detector was installed and working. I performed the following tasks on Thursday at my own expense. 1. Had the 2012 Honda washed and detailed for $40.00. 2. Put my license plate on the 2012 Honda and put the paper license plate on the dashboard for outside review. 3. Pending a response to my email about the additional keys needed. What can you do about this? I know you have to rely on other people within your company to make the purchasing of an auto from your parking lot a wonderful experience. That makes your job easier or harder. At this point in time the service department is getting an "F" for a grade. In the next 5 years, I will be in for my oil and maintenance work. Met Jason W at Mini of LV and told him what I was looking for, what I could afford, and he took me to the perfect car for us! I love the Mini Clubman as it is great on gas yet I still have room in the back for two people, or put the seats down and my dogs, LOVE it back there in their beds! They can look right out the window and walk around. Loaded my groceries the other day, just popped the seats down and had plenty of room. Spent about 3 hours there and drove my Mini away!!

If you even slightly consider a MINI, don't think of going anywhere else. Are you serious? I bought a convertible mini back in January and since then I have been waiting for the hood stripes to be replaced. After numerous phone calls to my sales person they finally got me in, but when they replaced the stripes they put white instead of black. Are you serious? If I wanted white stripes I would have bought a car with white stripes. They must be color blind. Although they have nice facilities, it must be a reflection of all the money they charge. They are able to get away with terrible service because they're the only mini dealership in Vegas. If you want to buy, take the time to drive to Southern California where there are several dealerships who will work for your business rather than point out "it's us or another car brand"

I went in for my 3 year annual service. They said I needed an alignment and I said go ahead. When I got my car back and headed home the engine over heated. I stopped to check under the hood and they left the cap off the coolant resevour. I had to call Minni assist and have my car towed back to the dealership. They said the cap must have poped off while I was driving. I was amazed that they would not acknowledge they made a mistake. They replaced the cap but did not cleanoff under the hood where all the coolant splattered every where. I had to wash the engine and hood when I got home. If they had admitted to their mistake I would not have been so furious about the error. I live 150 miles from Las Vegas and could have been stranded in the middle of nowhere. I will never use there service department again.

Our salesman, David Pendleton, was great. He was easy to work with, and made great efforts to see that we were satisfied...HOWEVER, the rest of the dealership was not that way. We drove over 175 miles on New Years eve to find a car with scratches and dents that we were never told about. When we talked to them about it they promised to give us $250 off the selling price and a full tank of gas for our trouble, which never happened. The finance manager was short with us and didn't make sure everything was taken care of. I would NEVER buy a used vehicle from Desert Mini again.

I purchased a 2005 350Z from Desert Mini this summer. I live 240 miles from them and was somewhat happy about getting a 60 day warranty from them. Test driving the car I noticed a whirl sound which the service manager looked at at stated it was coming from the tires. I drove home and the sound ended up getting worse. I scheduled an appointment with them and brought it in (240 miles each way). They told me it was a wheel bearing and it was fixed. Being that part of the service departments motto is "fixed the first time" away I went. I drove home and the noise was still there.... so another trip (240 miles each way) but now the tire pressure sensor was not reading correctly. They replaced another wheel bearing which fixed the whirl and they told me they replaced several of the wheel sensors and upon driving around I would see the sensors register. 240 miles later I still had no tire pressure sensors being registered by the car (causing the yellow tire pressure alert). Again I made another appointment and another 240 mile trip to them. This time they all registered.... until I was about an hour away from them then the rear right tire deregisters. Again I drove to the service department and they were unable to see the error and told me I would have to bring it in when the error happened (it ends up being intermittent but always the rear right tire). I'm now outside of there warranty and every time I do any long distant driving the rear right tire sensor goes away causing an alarm. I drove the car down to them this weekend for an oil change and talked to the service manager (or so I was told). I explained the problem and that I had reported it and the problem I was having and was shocked for him to tell me it's outside of the 60 days and since it's intermittent it's on me. I strongly believe they should have replaced that tire sensor instead of giving the runaround which is making me hate this car now. What a hellish experience and alot of driving to get these problems fixed to have them do this to me. Ohhh... the oil change was even a pain. I had purchased the oil change contract for one year. When I arrived the service person told me nope, you don't have one.... It was then on me to go find the finance officer who sold me the car and who was able to provide me with a copy of the agreement to prove to the parts person that I indeed did purchase this contract.

I had gone elsewhere to purchase a vehicle, but the other dealership wouldn't deal with me until I signed a blank contract. Anyone who knows better knows never to sign a blank contract, so I walked out. I saw the same type of car I wanted (but better) at Desert Mini and got in contact with David Pendleton. He helped me out so much and I wasn't forced to sign anything until I was ready to. I drove off the lot the same day. They are great there and so willing to work with you.

I LOVE MY MINI. The dealership and Charlie Sofronas, my salesman, were the best. I was happy because he wasn't lik those crazy salesman who just want you to buy anything even if it's not what you want but Charlie was laid back and was looking out for what was best for me. The car is just as great as my experience. I had to get use to the cable gas pedal but everything else is perfect. Well except for the fact that I have to pay more for premium gas. :)

Sales staff was pretty much indifferent. The vehicle we looked at had interior damage and all overpriced by at least $2000. Even the units that had been onthe lot forever were still overpriced, and they would not give on the price, even on a cash offer, so we ended up buying from another dealer

Brandon the Sales GM is great. Deal with him. The sales guy David was sweet, but have never felt so pressured in my life. Went in for air in my 09' Clubman S, that I just bought a few months ago.. From Desert Mini. "Did" feel confident about my purchase, originally.. Then was overwhelmed by the service people. Was told it needed many things due to the warrantee expired. Was talked into purchasing a new one.

Leonel Wizell is the nicest car seller I have ever met. He found my FRS in the color and manual when no dealer in the Southern California are could. I was on a waiting list for 2 months! in LA-and that sucks! Wondering and waiting. Leonel fixed that problem. He was kind enough to take a credit card deposit. Then called me often with the updates. I changed my business travel plans and flew into Las Vegas Friday night. He picked me up at the hotel Saturday and took me to my bank for a cashiers check. The car was ready at the dealer and I filled out some paperwork, got in the car and drove non-stop to Los Angeles. What a great car. Thanks Desert Toyota!Harry

Overall, I rate my experience a 4.5. Jon, the sales manager, was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Jon and I emailed back and forth during the 6 weeks I waited for my car to arrive. The best car buying experience I have ever had. New to Vegas and decided to trade my truck in for a Countryman. They had the car I wanted and made the whole process feel like a social event more then a painful back and forth buying process I have encountered in the past at other dealers. Looking to purchase new MINI Countryman, and MINI Vegas had the only model color/combo I was interested in. Sent email and was quickly replied to by Donovan Resh. Quickly getting to the point and we have a price (as im out of state). I send over trade info (which im not sure if i was going to trade in/its paid for) and Donovan says he will have trade value in the next hour and get back to me. That was 4 days ago. I call and leave a message, no return. I call and ask operator to have hime call me (he was in but busy) and no return call. Checked today and the car I was interested in was sold (he could have told me). Anyways i was already approved for purchase (finance + half cash down) so its their loss. The search continues.Not use to being treated like you dont care, especially when im a customer. Good luck Mini Vegas

Desert Mini Review03/02/2012I don't usually write reviews on anything, but this is a must for me, after reading all of the negative reviews on "Desert-Mini" and I'm sure they've had their own experinence, this is mine. I drove into Desert Mini-Used Car area of Las Vegas NV. on the 25th of Feb. 2012 to check out a used BMW they had on the lot for sale. It was georgous but had too many miles on it for my liking. No immediate 'attack' by a salesperson which was something I really liked. When a salesman did approach, he was almost 'comical' to me, no pressure, even walked away when I told him I'm just looking. (I have to say, I really hate it when car sales people don't even give you a chance to look around). It was a "Mini Cooper" dealership, but I wasn't interested in one, thinking they were just to small for my needs, yet I saw a few other cars that I may be interested in and called to the salesman to answer some questions. He politely introduced me to a few options, after telling him what I was looking for. Asked me if I was interested in a Mini Cooper. to which I replied, no. Showed me a few cars, test drove a car (I won't mention it's brand) that I didn't like. I told him that I'd like to look around the lot again and started to notice the "Mini Coopers" . They were pretty cool and one in particular caught my eye. Pre-owned, low mileage, good price, like new, beautiful color. Took it for a test drive, one of the most fun cars I've ever driven! A go-cart on steroids! It hugged the road like nothing I've ever owned, and I've owned two Mustangs, a Camaro, and a Pontiac Fireo. I'm almost 60 years old and it made me feel 18 again! I decided then and there that this was the car for me, even though in this market, I know there could have been a better deal. Did I mention that I 'hate' dealing with buying a car, new or used for all of the dealing you have to go through? None of that here. Desert Mini is so 'laid back', as if they don't even care if they sell you a car. I personnaly like that. Yet, they are polite throughout the entire time. Met with the finance manager (that I dreaded) but it was the most delightful experience I've ever had buying a car, as there was 'No haggling' over the amount I wanted to spend each month, added an extended Warranty, for which I got at half off price for doing it then and there! Since; I've been contacted by the service department manager to make sure everything was good, contacted by the salesman that sold me the car to make sure I didn't have any problems and that if I did just ask or bring it in. Had a bunch of questions as the Mini Coop has a lot of unusal things that one doesn't find on most cars. When I went in to pick up my "green-slip', they asked of any concerns and dealt with them promply, from the original salesman, to the service department, dealt with my concerns at once ! They were polite and immediate. If you go there. ask for Kevin McKenzie (salesman) and make sure you talk with Bob (finance), two great guys to deal with. I simply don't understand all of these negative reviews but maybe they've revamped their business practices since the earlier reviews or those reviews came from rivalry car dealships 'chiming in' to hurt their business? Hmm, I wonder? Oh yeah, the gas mileage is incredible, the ride is fun and really smooth, very responsive... any negative, yes there a few; noisy, from the double 'sun-moon-roof', the car is really small, don't even know why they have backseats, yet roomy up front, the sunroof lets in the sun constantly, but found out it's fixable, cupholders are for beer-steins, forget putting an average coffee cup in them, it too is fixable, you have to read through the manuals that come with it just to figure it all out (no, just kidding), the people at 'Desert-Mini' are there for you and any questions you have so at the onset ask, they'll help you deal with it, make sure you ask the team at Desert Mini to give you a 'tutorial' as this is a very differnet car. I hope I did them justice as they deserve it.

I bought a car on December 30, 2011 and was promise free register and plate pickup. On January 22, 2012 after seven visits to get plates I took the paper work and got everything myself. Once they have your money they don't care. Still waiting for the title.

In late March 2011 I took my 2003 Mini Cooper to Desert Mini of Las Vegas for a check engine light and inoperative A/C. I live in a state where smog inspections are necessary and I was getting close to the registration deadline and needed something quick. I figured that the dealership would be expensive, but at least the job would be done right. I got the first part right. They kept my car for two days, charging me over $700 for diagnostics. They identified the problem as a defective battery, which they replaced for about $190 and returned the car to me. This is where the fun begins.Within 48 hours the check engine light returned. I also developed several problems I did not have when I took the car in. It began stalling frequently at idle, my fuel gauge stopped working and I began getting check filler cap warnings (the filler cap was fine). About a week later the A/C quit again. I took the car back. The service advisor, who had been very friendly before, was far less so when I told him I wasnt spending any more money on the car. He made it plain that anything that wasnt on the original bill would be extra cost. Since they had done such a poor job before I decided to stick to the original list. The dealership attempted to blame all my problems on the A/C compressor (the same one they told me was fine after two days of pricey diagnostics). I asked how the compressor could be responsible when the car stalls with the climate control turned off. The adviser repeated We believe its the compressor, which they wanted to replace for the princely sum of $1,500. Disgusted, I left.If I ever needed evidence that the Better Business Bureau is a useless body that exists only to protect paying members, I soon got it. I filed a complaint with the Southern Nevada BBB. The dealerships response failed to address the original problems with my car at all, and made a lame attempt to justify charging me a lot of money for not fixing my car. They alluded to the mileage on my vehicle (which is justification alone for charging for nothing, Im sure) and the fact that they had provided a rental car (which is totally irrelevant to the complaint). BBB administratively dismissed the complaint, saying the dealership had made a good faith effort to resolve the complaint. In fact they made as much effort to resolve the complaint as they did to fix my car which is to say, nothing. The only thing they did was try to justify taking my money and leaving me with a broken vehicle.Mini of North America was no help, either. A similar complaint filed with them got me a form e-mail apologizing for my problem and thanking me for my input.If you have read this far you are obviously concerned about the reputation of this dealership and you should be. They have done work for me before, and my experience has been this: If your vehicle is under warranty, you are treated well. Once the warranty expires, they are happy as long as you dont ask questions and keep handing them large quantities of cash as their technicians bumble through the process of fixing your car. There is always another essential repair far more expensive than the one you just got that has to be done, and odds are less than 50 percent that it will solve your problem.I suggest that you find a good independent mechanic to fix your Mini, and leave these money-grabbers alone. I suggest Kensington Motor Cars, who correctly diagnosed my problems in two hours a task Desert Mini got wrong twice in two and a half days.

So this is gonna be one of the saddest stories you'll hear. Around October of 2009 I was getting close to theend of the warranty on my 2006 MINI Cooper S. I had some work in Las Vegas and thought that I would get a few things attended to under warranty while I had the time. One of the items that needed attention was a whistle sound from the sun roof. Keep on mind that I was building the car for show so the majority of the interior wasn't in the car. They replaced the items that were a concern including the sunroof gasket. Jump ahead a month for the show that I was peeping for and for some reasoning have no brake lights. I figure I must have pinched a wire somewhere. After the show and two trips to a local dealer I'm sitting in my car during one of So. Cals few rains and an idea pops into my head...I wonder if it could be water intrusion. I take it back to the local dealer and express my new concern. Sadly, they confirm my suspicions and say that all four drains aren't connected. Hmmwho touched the sunroof gasket and drains? Desert mini. So the dealer calls them and the refuse to accept responsibility for their actions. After three calls to them, I contacted MINI USA for some action and the best they could say was that the damage was not caused by a warranty issue so they couldn't do anything either. So, being very frustrated, I call my insurance company to pay the $14k bill to repair and they decide to total the car. Fortunately, I have really good insurance and they paid a fair price but I had to remove three years of mods in three days and lost a grand on bushings and another grand on dynamat. Just so sad that a dealer can't accept that nobody is perfect, including their shop foreman that worked on the car. I recently went by their new location on a Saturday for parts. I asked where parts were and one of the ten sales staff standing outside walked in with me to the parts counter andlow and behold, the closed at noon. He couldn't just say hey were closed. Dolt!

Desert Mini of Las Vegas is a complete joke.On more than one occasion four to be exact, 2 involving me and 3 from friends of mine, all Mini lovers by the way. Here is my story. I found a Mini Cooper S I liked listed on their website. I sent a request for more information, their reply to my email on both occasions was ok within 24hrs, but what happened afterwards was piss-poor at best.The Manager goes by the name of "Tony Zita" sends me a generic email telling me he got my request and that was it, 2 days later I get an email from a sales person by the name of Donovan Resh and my God he was a complete idiot, he send me the same generic email the leader of the stupid pack did and furthermore told me that a car I was interested in was sold that night, keep in mind this was 3 days after I had inquired about this Mini I was willing to buy on the spot, with financing my bank already approved for me.Against my better judgment I decided to make my way to the dealership and see what else they had on the ground, and believe me people I was there with a friend in broad day light at about 2pm in the afternoon, for about 15mins looked and sat in about 7 unlocked Mini Coopers on the lot and no one asked if we needed any help, until we got tired of looking at them and were about to climb back into our car, only then did a sales guy casually walk by us and ask "Are you guys ok?" I mean really? That's all you can say to potential customers browsing your lot during your hours of operation?I would have thought to myself hmmm just maybe it was a bad day, or just maybe for some reason they were so busy they did not notice me, but that was not the case, as a matter of fact there was a family Husband, wife and 2 kids that left at about the same time we did, and humored to us saying "This is a Joke" we should just get one from California, at least the tax is only .15 more big deal.Wow in this economy a deal can allow its customers experience such bad customer service, or none at all, when there are dealers in Utah and California willing to go the extra mile to attract more business? And just in case you are wondering if this was a fluke the answer is no.Because I love these cars so much I did this again this time alone at about noon on Labor Day and yes they were open and low and behold the same treatment. Earlier I mentioned 3 other friends of mine with the same experience well you can pretty much guess what happened there too.So my advice for all you thinking of buying a Mini Cooper in Las Vegas is this, try a different dealer and or try Dealers in Utah or California, you can even take a mini-vacation to the beach and sign your new car papers. California dealers will ship your new mini to Vegas for $500 some free depending on the deal so you don't have to pay taxes in Cali to drive it off the lot.Or you can pay the taxes there and or roll it into the loan, get your 30 day tag and drive your baby back here to Vegas to register it. Trust me it's worth the 250 Miles to get the proper customer services and sales experience. I mean it's hard for everyone in this economy why not give your money to a Dealer that recognizes and respects that.My 2 cents...Kim
