It was a pleasure to do business with Mitchell Subaru. Lou Credidio was my salesman...he was extremely personable and eager to help me find the car that was right for me and get a fair trade-in for my old car. I appreciated Lou's follow-up communications keeping me informed about the delivery date of my car (which was in transit). On the day I picked up the car, Lou took great effort to explain every new feature of my car....even though it was my sixth Subaru, there was a lot I needed to learn!My experience with the business manager, Steve Smith, was also great.

Had a 7:45 appointment on a Sat for a simple oil change. Arrived at 7:30. Knew I was in trouble when there were 3 cars ahead of me and 1 employee handling the vehicle check in. Got to service advisor around 7:45. He recommended I perform airbag recall since parts were in and tough to come by. Said I would be out by noon. Decided to do oil change and air bag recall and got ride home. BIG mistake! Noon came and went and no call from advisor on status. I called at 1:00 and no one answered service number. Called again 30 minutes later, still no answer so I left a message to please contact me. 2:30 still no return call. Called back and finally reached advisor who said car wouldn't be ready until closing at 4:00! Expressed my frustration with the fact that the car was dropped off at 7:45 and I was told "I would be out by noon" but it didn't seem to phase this advisor. Best part is I'm on my way to the dealership at 3:40 and get a call from Matt saying the car is ready for pick up. Told him I'll on my way and will be there in 10 minutes. I arrive at the service counter around 3:50 and there's no one to be found! Lights off, no advisors around. I tracked down one of the service technicians who I spotted in the back, and was very helpful, and asked where Matt was. I was told he was gone and was asked if I made pickup and payment arrangements. Told him I didn't since I had just received a call 10 minutes ago and I assumed he would be there when I showed up. Had to get sales involved for checkout. Again, very nice person but no idea what service work was performed. Bottom line, don't expect to ever get out of here in a reasonable time. Good luck trying to reach someone on the service line that is recorded. And, if you dare leave your car at this dealership for service, even with an appointment, don't expect it to be ready when they tell you. Is it asking too much to receive the courtesy of a phone call to let me know the status of my vehicle? I guess so. There are plenty of other dealerships and service repair shops around that will perform routine work for a reasonable price in a reasonable time. This will be my last time at this dealership. And by the way, this vehicle was purchased from this dealership!

I have been servicing my 2004 Outback for 5 years . Vinny Trigilio,service manager, is an angel! He is both astute with mechanical issues and giving the customer a feeling that Mitchell Subaru cares. Ted Voisine went above and beyond what an average salesperson would do to help me find a trade for my Subaru. His performance embodies the philosophy of Mr. Mitchell. He was friendly, attentive, motivated, and took the extra time to have me look at all my options. After a very short time I drove away in exactly what I needed. The service dept. is top notch and did a great job preparing the car. Would not hesitate to call Ted on my next vehicle as the experience was very positive. Ted followed up with me the Monday after to make sure everything was good and that really topped off a great experience for me at Mitchell. Will highly recomend Ted and the dealership to friends and family.

This is the second Outback we have purchased from Mitchell Subaru. You can't do better than the folks at Mitchell. Everyone we met, from receptionist to sales, service and financing, are a pleasure to deal with.Since we bought our first Outback 12 years ago, technology has changed dramatically and we certainly appreciated the added safety features. My wife and I worked with Lou at Mitchell Subaru. He was able to locate the exact model and color of the vehicle we wanted with the exact options we wanted as well. We also worked out what we feel was a fair price. Lou was very thorough in explaining features and details of that particular model and directly answered any questions we had. We did not have as good an experience with other dealers we visited and felt very comfortable with Lou and our purchase.

The only issue I had was that getting an appointment for routine service involved a several week time lag between request and actual appointment. Emergency service was prompt. Will resolve the issue by calling for an appointment several weeks before it will be needed for routine service.

the USB port seemed to not be working when I used my ipod so I mentioned it when I had my oil changed. The mechanics were puzzled because it showed that the ipod was getting power. After trying several things to try to figure out the problem, one of the (young) mechanics rebooted the ipod and it worked fine after that. This was not a mechanical problem with the car, but thinking it may be, he worked with it and I'm greatful to him for his help. Everyone involved seemed truly concerned and helpful.

I bought a new 2015 Crosstrek Limited, at time of purchase I requested and paid for remote starter, cross rails and weather tech mats.When I picked up the car (10/23/2015): -The remote starter was installed, but only one key was programmed for the remote starter. - Cross bars were not installed -A box was left in back seat for me to install. I was never asked if I wished to install them myself (which I of course did not want to do) Tried to schedule a service appointment to have oil changed and check why the transmission had such a long hesitation when going from reverse to drive and to have cross rails installed (which should have been done before I picked up my car). Called for the appointment on 1/8/2016 and was told that the next available appt would not be until the week of 1/18/2016. This is a very long time to wait for a service appointment. I was at 6K miles and did not want to have to wait for more than a week for my oil to be changed. Contacted dealer in Vernon (Suburban Subaru) they took me in the same day (1/8/2016) they changed my oil and checked out the transmission hesitation. They found there was a TSB for my car and ran some type of upgrade to fix the hesitation. While running the update there was an error message for the driver air bag and they found that when the remote starter was installed something was not plugged back in for the air bag. If I had an accident the air bag might not have deployed due to this negligence.Overall assessment of Mitchell: The salesman was fine (Ian Zbell). But I was very unhappy with the quality of the installation work from the service department and it seems very difficult to schedule time with them. They should have installed the crossbars and programmed the other key for the remote starter and they should be more careful when they perform installations. I also confirmed with other dealership that it is standard to program both keys for remote starter and to ask customer if they want cross rails installed.

I am presently on my third Subaru S/W from Mitchell Subaru. The other two were also bought new. This last one was purchased in 1993 and it's approaching 300,000 miles. I took it in last week for new tires and an oil change and added some new ball joints. I've always dealt with either Vinny or Ogden and at all times they have been both honest and professional. Can you ask for any more than that? If I'm still around my next new vehicle will come from these gentlemen. And it will be another Subaru S/W.

I don't believe we can truly gauge our experience with Mitchell as we'd like. The Dealership seamed professional however, our salesman was not knowledgeable on the product. ie: side mirror defrost workings, how carstarter works and rushed us at closing time the day of pickup on the workings of the car itself. He kept asking "What else do you want to know" instead of going through the vehicle from front to back and then allowing us to ask questions along the way. For the record, we were there an hour early and we were waiting on the Finance Rep. (Who was phenomenal, by the way!) So, the Saleman went throught the book with us in the lobby, however, there was definately time to start going throug the car instead, we just waited... In conclusion, when we were inquiring about the car starter,, we couldn't get a percise price from he salesman. He was saying "Around" instead of saying, "I'm not sure, I will ask our Service Manager and get back to you." When we did get the starter, he charged our credit card for more than he quoted us because he didn't originally factor in CT. state tax and then quote us and got a little snippy saying, "Well, we do have to by law, add sales tax.) We know that! Give a the right total price you are charging on our card is all. (Probably should tell buyers that this is the price with/without sales tax next time), Right from the start of the test drive, we had 10 minutes in the car with him and there wasn't much conversation on the product. So, we were the engaging ones... So, we know Subaru's sell themselves however, the salesman needs to put more enthusiasm into the product and customers. Again, the Finance Rep. was great. and we did drive back up there for a go through of the Forester with another Salesman. We are looking forward to the Service at Mitchell to be just fine. So, in a nutshell, some more training on the new salesman would be greatful. Sorry to be so detailed but thought it should be addressed in writing.

My experience with Mitchell subaru was about as good as it gets. My salesperson was Tom Bissell. It was my third physical visit to a dealership in my search for a new car. Tom never once "sold" to me. He listened to what I was looking for in a car. He was upfront and honest with me about everything we saw that day. I think he took more enjoyment from meeting, talking with, and getting to know my girlfriend and I than actually selling me a car. Mitchell subaru went above and beyond on several special requests I had before purchase. I wasn't the easiest customer but they were more than accommodating the entire time. Renee Mitchell sold me my Subaru Forester. He was extremely patient, courteous, thorough and helpful and seemed to go out of his way to be sure I was happy and completely satisfied with my purchase. I had traded in a vehicle and left CD in the CD player and Renee made sure it was returned to me. I had been to two other Subaru dealers prior to coming to Mitchell Subaru and the salesmen in both of the other dealerships were no where nearly as helpful and attentive as were all the Mitchell staff especially Renee. Very dissatisfied with access for an urgent service issue. I called on Wednesday and explained to the service department that my Outback had a burned out headlight that needed replacement, I indicated that I do night driving daily and that this was a safety issue. They offered me an appointment on Saturday, 4 days later and was told, "Sorry, but we're very busy and that's the soonest they can get me in." Later that day I spoke with another representative who responded to my voice message, and was told essentially the same thing. Once I was seen, on Saturday, the work was fine, although the bill for $130 seems like gauging to replace a headlight bulb and a fog bulb that probably took less than 15 minutes. Perhaps Mitchell should have a few slots available for urgent, simple matters like this!

I had completed the customer survey sent from Subaru the other day but also wanted to let you know about my experience last week in Canton. I had made an online appointment for Friday at 8:45 for an oil change, tire rotation and a recall fix. I arrived at 8:40 the representatives were quick, took my information and keys and I let them know I would wait there.I was beyond frustrated when at 10:00 my car had not yet been taken in yet to be serviced and had seen a number of other customers come and go during that time. Then at 11:00 without anyone addressing me or my car I was about to leave, when shortly after my car was being taken in.Finally at 11:30 I was told my car was ready, 2 hours and 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment with no apology or acknowledgement of the inconvenience of this experience. I am very disappointed at the poor customer service I received from your company and will not be returning. While many times during my long wait I contemplated complaining to the reps, however I do not feel customers should need to complain to get the attention and service they deserve and expect. I manage a support team and understand the importance of customer service. I do my best to ensure my team strives to exceed or at a minimum meet our service standards and provide superior service in all areas for our customers since that is what will bring them back year after year. I also understand these situations do happen and it is important to bring them to the attention of those who can implement change immediately.I hope this feedback provides enough information for you to fix these issue in your organization and take the necessary steps to ensure no other customers experience the same service I received.Vanessa DiVita

I recently went in for what I thought would be a free oil change with what I also thought would be a quick 20 minute service. I was wrong on both accounts. I was told that in order to keep receiving free oil changes I had to have have the 15000 mile service done which consisted of changing a cabin and engine air filter. I was also told that this would be about 2 hrs. I told the service rep that I didn't have two hours. He explained that his mechanics were at lunch and that he may be able to put two of them on the job and that it would be about an hour. Why schedule service for people who are waiting, which I indicated when I scheduled it, when you know it is lunch time for your guys. Also if you know that it's time for the required maintance wouldn't you maybe tell the customer that and that it could be about two hours. I am going to get my next oil changes there until it is required that I have my next required maintanance then goodbye.

On Sept. 23, 2015 Mitchell Subaru Service Dept. performed the 30,000 mile maintenance on my 2010 Subaru Forester. Vinny Trigilio, Service Advisor, was very thorough in describing the extensive list of inspections and service requirements for this major maintenance. I always service by the "Service Maintenance Handbook'" given to me when I bought the auto. The book is invaluable and it is well written. The invoice that I received on completion was easy to read.. Vinny explained a couple of items that I had questions on. He is an excellent advisor who has advised us with the last 3 Subaru's that we purchased from Mitchell Subaru.

As a result, I was able to find a car to suit my needs, have it financed in a way that met my budget, ask the questions I needed to ask to learn about the new features on the car, and been given great advice on how to plan for the future repairs/ maintenance I will need to have done. The service protocol at this dealership is thorough and allows me to track the details of the various systems on the car in ways that help me plan for future repairs to the car without having them come up as emergencies or surprises. The explanations given for each item on the service record are understandable and presented carefully. I am grateful for the opportunity this affords me to budget and plan.

I had very pleasant experience purchasing my 2013 dealer certified pre-owned Subaru Legacy. Paul Olson did a very good job explaining all the features of the car. I enjoy the excellent handling and ride of the car. I do have one issue: there is some sort of material on the windshield that looks like drips of clear glue. It is only visible when driving into the sun and is very annoying. I would have liked to have it removed if i had noticed at the time of the test drive and purchase. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until after I had purchased the car.

Our most recent purchase is a Subaru Forester, our third Forester. We had great help making our decision, finding the perfect car, purchasing, and then following up with briefings on how to use all of the new technology. Paul Olsen was very patient as we made several visits to test drive different cars and choose features for the Forester. Spiro Mavredakis was helpful with the final purchase details. This has been a long relationship with Mitchell Auto, probably over 20 years. We have purchased 4 Volvo's from Mitchel and now 2 Subaru's. You couldn't ask for a more reputable honest car sales experience. There service center is second to none. We recently purchased an other new Subaru Outback. We bought our 2012 Outback from Mitchell and had a great experience with our sales person Greg Wheeler we desired to look at the 2016 Outbacks. Greg told us we were too early for the 2016's but he kept us informed and called us when we could order the 2016. Well we have the 2016 Outback now for 3 months. What a car. I thought the 2012 was great, I can't describe how much improved the 2016's are. I never thought they could improve on the the Outback model. Greg Wheeler and I have become good friends. John McCormick sold us our first Volvo. I could talk all day about the great Mitchell experience but experience it for your self. Thanks Mitchell Subaru and and special thanks to Greg Wheeler.

When I walked in the door I knew what I wanted to buy, and the price it would. Between outright lying to me, leaving me sitting alone at his desk, to talking on and on adout how great the product is, it took him 2 hours to sell the car. After the sale was completed he informed me he was going on vacation and the sale manager would be handling the delivery. Delivery was set for 3-4 days. After 4 days no car and no day set for pick up. The sales manager would never talk to me even when I stopped in person and could see him sitting in his office. Communication was alway through third party's who would act like they were going out of ther way to help me but didn't know anything about what was going on with the car. 11 days after the sale I got the car. Once i signed the paperwork was last time they showed any interest me as a customer.

I am from MA but chose to purchase my car from Mitchell because a family member had a wonderful experience here. Couldn't have been further from the truth for me. It took them much longer than they said to get the car I wanted in stock, rescheduled my appointment to purchase the car, they didn't get the car registered in MA so when I took a bus to pay for/pick up my car I left with a loaner car. The finance manager was rude and had multiple errors in my paperwork. It took them 10 days from when I paid for the car to having it delivered to me. There was very little communication from them unless I was contacting them to ask what was going on. I can't believe that I went through all of this and didn't walk away at the first sign of trouble. I could go on and on. Terrible customer service, consistently made me feel like I was doing them a favor by purchasing a car from them, rather than me helping them by coming from out of state since they had been so helpful in the past. Truly atrocious service, will never be returning again.

Service through Ogden & Vinny is fantastic - it's why we have been custimers for almost 30 years! Sales has been great, too. We keep coming back to Mitchell because they are so wonderfull and are now up to 11 cars purchased/leased/serviced by them. We can't say we HIGHLY RECOMMEND them because "highly' is too low a description for what Mitchell Subaru stands for.

I showed up at 7:30 a.m. for regular service and a question about safety RE tire wear and winter around the corner. Because I drive 1+ hours one way to the dealership and had a late morning class to teach, I needed to be on the road home by about 10:00. It all went swimmingly, and I was on the road by 9:00, with assurances that my tires were in fine shape going into ice-&-snow season. I certainly would not make the drive if I weren't very happy with the service.

I brought the car in for a routine oil change and it was discovered that my head gasket needed to be replaced. It was clear that this was a legitimate need and I am glad that Mitchel spotted it and brought it to my attention. This car was a 2005 Legacy Wagon with about 110,000 miles. The car was purchased at and has always been serviced by Mitchell. Vinny, the Service Manger that process my service requests has always been helpful and has never recommended any thing that didn't need to be done. In fact, he has often told me when things didn't need to be done -- at least not yet.

Went into Mitchell Subaru looking for either a new or used car after having my other vehicle for less than a year. At the prior dealership (Hoffman Honda, BOOOOO), I received a less than a positive experience, so I didn't know what to expect walking into Subaru. I had previously bought a car from Mitchell Subaru (2005, Subaru Legacy GT) and I NEVER should have left Subaru. We all make mistakes, right? I worked with Greg Wheeler at Mitchell who was more than professional and courteous. He asked me where I would like my mothly payments to be, and came in right at the number I was looking for, in fact on the lower end. At the other dealer, they were no where close, well above my higher end. Both cars priced in the same range. I respect both Greg and Mitchell for not giving me the run around and wasting my time. I appreciate the service I received at Mitchell and love being back behind the wheel of another Subaru. There is no doubt when I am ready for my next car, I will be going to Mitchell Subaru first. Thanks, Greg! Greg also knows the best pizza places in the Farmington Valley and even introduced me to a place I didnt know had just moved in! Delicious.

The thing that we remember the most about visiting Mitchell Subaru is the forced march in front of the display case to see their trophies.Everyone had to see the trophies.Mitchell Subaru is very proud of their trophies, even if some of them are the auto-dealer equivalent of a good-attendance award. But if you hang out in the showroom for ten minutes, you'll see that everyone who interacts with a salesman has to be paraded past the trophy cabinet and given the spiel about how awesome Mitchell Subaru's customer service is. But then you notice, this just added more time to the simple act of wanting to test-drive a car to decide if you even wanted to consider a Subaru.And when you leave, you begin to wonder why they felt the need to make such a big deal about it. Certainly, your visit resulted in just as much pressure to buy a car, using the old tactics, as any other old-school dealer; it wasn't exactly stellar. Not terriblenot with Hoffman down the road for comparisonbut not great.And nowhere near the experience of Mitchell Saab, 15 years ago.

Not happy with the after service they have provided. I will keep it short.1. 1st oil change - As the old gasket was left during oil change, it resulted in oil leak and I was left with no oil within few weeks. Had to rush to another Subaru dealer to get it fixed. Even a freshman technician wouldn't do this error (According to another Subaru dealer). Incident was documented for evidence that oil leak happened because oil change wasn?t done properly.2. Massive Wind Noise issue on Legacy 2015 - There are two TSB's to fix the issue. When I went for the first time, it wasn't done properly and issue got much worse. Booked an appointment 2nd time, hoping this time, it will be fixed. I was at the service center before 8 AM i.e. appointment time. Even though appointment was scheduled for 8 AM, till 1 PM they didn't took the car in to fix the issue. I left around 1.00 PM and called them back around 3.30 PM and someone tells me that it wouldn't be done today and someone is working on it and they might need to keep the car. I had mentioned to them beforehand that I am driving out of state on Monday morning. So I went in and then one of the representative tells me that they would need to order the parts. It was clearly mentioned: "Massive wind noise" while scheduling appointment. Subaru had clearly posted 2 TSB's for Legacy 2015. If you don't have parts why schedule an appointment? If you aren't working on it then why tell customers that you would need one more day to fix the issue and then tell to them at the end of the day, oh we don't have parts. Clearly shows incompetence of technical/service department.I was told parts would arrive by Wednesday i.e. within 3-4 days max and then I would receive call back. It's more than 2 weeks and I still haven't received call back from them. I am still waiting for wind noise fix. Since last 8 months, I am driving this noisy car. It?s annoying, really annoying.After service from Mitchel Subaru is zero. (0 to 10 rating with 0 being incompetent in car industry) Sales = 9/10After service = 0/10That being said, I hold respect for Rich O. Nice salesman. I hope, he would work for some another dealer and I would definitely buy another car next year from him. You don't lie and play around with your customers and mess up oil changes and services.

Bought my 1st Subaru in about 1980, while living in NH. Bought our 2nd one from Mitchell 9 years ago, after moving from FL to CT. Loved the car. We treated her well, and she was great to us. Just traded in our 2006 Forester to lease (1st time ever) a new Forester Limited with extra features. Everyone was great. Loved working with sales rep, Dan Haluba. Very nice personality and helpful in trying to help us figure out some of the tech features. Also enjoyed working with Greg Shenas. Lawrence in service went out of his way to please us. Already planning on a fourth Subaru in 3 years! Thanks to all. ?

The lease on our 2013 Subaru Legacy was nearing the end of tem.I decided to turn it in and check out a new 2015 Legacy- more content, better fuel economy, same reliability. As family and work needs change, I tend to need a different type of vehicle as the years go by. I also tend to stay with that given type of vehicle for several additional purchases. It becomes easier and more familiar on the second or third purchase as I am already familiar with a given vehicle. Because of positive reports, both verbal and in the press about Subaru (of which I did not have any first hand experience), I went into Mitchell Subaru, and had perhaps the most comfortable car buying experience ever. While the model with specific options was not in stock, they located one, and it actually came in a little earlier than promised. There was a small option that somehow didn't come through with the car, and they located it, and installed it for the delivery date that I had requested.I had absolutely no false promises or any negative issues at all. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with this dealership. If the car performs as well as the dealership, I will continue to be a very happy customer.

In the initial 20 min at Mitchell my wife and I experienced the worst sales person to assist us in purchasing an automobile. This trip to Mitchel was for a Subary recall service, which was performed with no issues. I also asked that they look over the car, which we purchased from a local dealer and still has a few weeks left in its warranty period, to see if they could spot any significant issues that I may not have picked up on and needed attention. The happily did this for me, and even with no additional charge. We have purchased a car from Mitchell in the past, and I will definitely be back regularly for service on all three of my subarus! I wish all the Subaru dealers in the area were as ethical. Now, if they could only relocate the facility a little closer to where I live... :)

The customer service was excellent. It is too soon to know if the service was done properly due to the nature of the issue. The reason for the service and cost of repair for the reason for service was exorbitant and upsetting for a brand new car. That is the basis why I cannot give a 5 as at this time I am not fully satisfied with the 2015 Outback durability. Time will tell.

This was our first new car buying experience in 17 years when we bought our existing Subaru Forester in 1998. (still running--no shocker). Granted, Subarus pretty much sell themselves, especially to current owners who can extol their virtues. As always your associates are friendly and helpful, however, we purchased, at the time of buying our latest car, an insurance policy for scratch and dent sold to us by Chris Townsend. However, when we bought our car in for service and told them about the scratches and dents, we were told that they were not covered. What good is the policy is they don't cover what we were told they would. We would never have bought the policy if it was explained in the beginning the way it was explained when we went in for service. We were very disappointed in the outcome. We would recommend your dealership to friends but tell them specifically to be very careful what is told by salesmen/

I came to Mitchell Subaru on the recommendation of a friend and boy am I glad I did. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. My salesperson, Greg Wheeler was excellent. I needed a vehicle fast, and he obtained my Subaru Outback within a few days. This vehicle is one that nobody else in the area had in stock and ordinarily I would have to wait for weeks, if not months to get it in. The dealership on top of this provided me with a car to drive, so I wouldn't incur any further costs driving a rental. Couldn't have been a better buying experience!!!

The car needed a #1 U-joint and prop. shaft. We were told the service would take 1.5 to 2 hours, and it was finished in just over an hour. The price was about 70% of what were quoted at another dealership.Plus, the service staff is friendly and skilled at explaining the work to be completed.They keep their promises, too.

I bought a year old Subaru Outback with an extended 3 year warranty into which I was pressured by the salesman. After returning home with the vehicle, found that the door handle on the passenger side front door was broken. I made an appointment to have it fixed, as parts needed to be ordered.Upon returning home with the car after the repair, I detected the unmistakable odor of cyanoacrylate, i.e. Superglue! The broken handle was not replaced, just glued! One firm tug and the handle was broken again. Two year years later when a warning displayed on my dashboard, I learned that an airbag control module had failed. "Great!" I thought, glad I spent $500 for the 3 year extended warranty. Guess not. The three year extended warranty was not, in fact, three additional years, but three years from the date of the care original delivery. Baited and switched!Fast forward to last month, took car in for recall of brake lines. Car repaired with brake lines sprayed with a rust inhibitor and the service advisor informing me that I have an exhaust leak (which I knew but was going to fix myself when Winter eventually ends). I chose to not have Mitchell do the repair, but now I have a wrecked exhaust heat shield due to the ham-handed removal of the heat shield by their mechanic as he searched for the leak.I have no issues with pricing, as dealers work off book prices for repairs. Prices are what they are. However, the repeated dishonesty and substandard work is consistent with every other negative post here. I live have lived in Canton most of my life and would recommend anyone looking for Subaru service to try ANY OTHER DEALER. I cannot believe that there is another dealer in Connecticut able to match the horrible customer service of Mitchell.

We hate the whole process of buying cars---the pushy salespeople, the back and forth haggling with the manager in the backroom, the extra surprise costs, etc. At Mitchell Subaru, we didn't get any of that. Brought my car in for a recall but also had some routine service done. As always, I was greeted by my service manager who reviewed the reason I was there and asked if there any other issues with the car that needed to be addressed. The waiting area was very clean and had a TV and refreshments along with accommodations for people who need to work. Work was done promptly and neatly. Service manager went over the service report and noted areas that needed to be addressed in the near future. All in all, a very good experience.

We chose Mitchell Subaru over other dealers because of their good reviews, and a few of our friends had bought vehicles from them in the past 2 years and were pleased with the service and experience. We initially went on a Saturday and noticed how busy it was. First thought was hmmmm, must be a good place. Salespeople were not pushy. (Big plus). After purchasing our car, we had a question about the bluetooth and the service tech was prompt and courteous answered our question. John G was our salesman, did great job. Recommend him if you are looking for a car.

We came into the dealership with the idea of just gathering information and test driving a Legacy. Richard assisted us and patiently answered all out questions. No pressure at all. When we got to the question about price, we were given a great offer. I had done extensive research on the internet and knew immediately it was a terrific price. At that point it made no sense to "go shopping." We had previously purchased a Saab from Mitchell, and we were very comfortable with our previous post purchase experience. Kudos to Spiro for getting us a finance rate even below the special rate Subaru was offering. Just a great experience overall.

We recently completed the purchase of a new Subaru Outback. Our salesperson, Greg Wheeler did a great job with the process, thorough at the initial car overview, as well as the delivery. Probably the best review of a car I've had from any dealership. The purchase process was surprisingly easy and straight forward. After researching on line, the price we agreed to was very much in line with my expectations. This is our third Subaru in the house and this was the easiest and smoothest process. The dealership is great from a service standpoint as well.

As you are searching to buy or have your Subaru fixed, keep away from this dealership, they will promise you everything but then fail to deliver. Then when you ask why, they will only make excuses and fail to resolve the issues. Try Center Subaru in Torrrington, as they are much better.

Went in with knowledge of what I wanted, a 2015 Subaru Impreza 2.0i sport premium M5 in dark gray metallic. I just wanted to start putting numbers together. Salesman was unhelpful, unwelcoming, and just plain rude. Had a poor attitude. He even asked me if he was going to do all this work for me to just go and compare prices at other dealerships. I was ignored by the person who just drove my car off to appraise it. After over a half an hour of standing outside waiting, I was given an offer that was poorly explained, without being offered a test drive, without any talks about the car itself, and asked "So are you gonna put a deposit on it?" After I declined, I was caught in between the two gentlemen, now I know one was Greg Wheeler and I believe my salesman was named Richard, but I'm not 100%. They were yelling and stating that they are the only dealership that has the car I want, the impreza in gray with a stick shift, and if another dealership wanted to trade for it, they wouldn't give it to them because they know I want it and thus, I'd have to buy it through them or not get it at all. I told them they were trying to blackmail me into buying a car, which is when they started backing off and asking if I wanted to talk numbers. The entire time it was clear they did not want me there, which is surprising, because there were almost no other customers there. If I could give them a lower rating, I would.

Initially experienced an issue with resolving a problem with black streaks running from all black gaskets on exterior of car, but decided to "live with it." However, subsequently my experience with Mitchell Subaru has been outstanding. All agents have been extremely helpful, kind, professional and knowledgeable. I especially like dealing with Ogden. He's terrific. I recently had my Impreza serviced and he thoughtfully found a $10.00 coupon online and applied it to my bill which I appreciated very much. I requested quotes from five different dealers. All but Michell's sent back e-mails professing to be my new best friend and providing detailed, but irelevant biographies. Michell's sent a quote. When I was ready to purchase, they gave me the same price. When I showed up to complete the purchase, the price of the car was the same as the quote. It took less than an hour to complete the paperwork. They didn't try to sell me a lot of extras. By far, the easiest and less stressful car buying experience I have ever had. They went above and beyond to accommodate me in my model and color choices, and they did a great job in finding an excellent financing rate.

I have had Mercedes for 6 years. A year ago I bought my first Subaru from Mitchell Subaru. It has been wonderful. By the one year mark with my both of my Mercedes, I had to be towed once with one and twice with the second one, had to have new brakes, new tires... It was costly and not reliable. My Subaru Forester has been in only for routine maintenance, it has been wonderful. The service area and people of Mitchel certsinly make the experience as comfortable as possible and they keep their word of getting you in and out fast! By the way I have only been driving my Forester for 10 months, it has over 40,000 miles and it drives great in the snow and in any conditions!

I was insulted by the value they awarded for my trade-in, and they never returned my registration or my insurance card. They managed to get the new car registered and insured with the right information, but never returned the original documents. Not sure the motive, but annoying when you're giving a dealership retail money for anything. They shaved nothing from the price. Offered a third of actual value for my trade-in, and absconded away with the paperwork.

Overall, the experience was great. The only thing I'd mention is that when you're quoted a price, ask then to break it down line by line. When I had them so that, they realized a redundancy which, if overlooked, would have resulted in an over charge of about $135.

I live in Bristol and this is the nearest Subaru service group so I decided to give Mitchell a try. Great experience! They were honest and the cost was reasonable. I have a newer car but love my old 1998 legacy station wagon. The brakes on my other car are quick to respond so I thought my trusty wagon brakes were worn out. Lawrence Ganezer had them checked and the report said they were okay. Many dealers would have said I needed new brakes, I know from experience with other things how true this can be. Everything else was checked out and minor things were done as I waited in the office, saving me a return trip. I will certainly return for service to Mitchell. I've had body repair done on two Subaru Foresters several times at the body shop in Simsbury. All repairs were done essentially perfectly. One recent highlight was a repair to scratches on a leather seat. I could not believe how perfectly the work was completed. The seat was again like new!

I have been dealing with Mitchell's Subaru for well over twenty years. The last vehicle I bought from them was in 1993 and it now has a quarter of a million miles on it. During the time I've owned this vehicle all service has been done by Mitchell's. This includes some major items such as a new clutch, brakes, and emission's system. Aside from those most of the work has been of a preventive maintenance type such as oil changes, new blades, ect. There was never a time when the service people were anything other than polite, helpful, and, I would imagine sometimes difficult in this business, cheerful. But above all, they were honest. Their estimate for the work was usually right on the dollar and if they felt that I would be inconvenienced they warned me beforehand. And by the way, my 1993 Legacy station wagon still takes me where I want to go and sometimes during New England winters that is not always the easiest thing.

I was looking for another Subaru so I could give my 2009 Impreza to my daughter who is away at school. I had the good fortune to see a pristine pre-owned Outback VDC on Mitchell's web site. I contacted Greg Wheeler via email to arrange a demo. He got back to me quickly, and we made arrangements to see the car. Greg and I hit it off right away. His pleasant manner and knowledge of cars made me feel like I was talking to an old friend. I have to say, that this was the most pleasant experience I have ever had purchasing a car. This is my third Subaru, and the second one from Mitchell's. Once again I was disappointed in the Mitchell Care package, for which I pay dearly. Mitchell charges for tire rotation, I simply cannot understand their position. The package covers expensive oil changes but the dealership charges $49 to rotate tires.Why this piece of normal maintenance is not covered under this expensive add-on package is beyond what I consider acceptable.

Went there to buy a used car from them. Things started off okay with the first guy I dealt with. Then I was handed over to another salesman to close the deal. Right off the bat he was a xxxxxxx. I asked well before hand if I could get the car on a lift to see the underside. When the time came I was denied.Everything that I could see checked out with the car so I opened negotiations. They had the car listed at a price that was just to high. I came in a little lower and without even trying to negotiate the xxxxxxx just flat out said "no, no way". I was floored. So I brought in my knowledge about the car (ALWAYS DO YOUR RESEARCH!) and quickly shouted out about half a dozen or more issues with the car that needed to be addressed (nothing major) and said, "with all this that needs fixing you're not even going to offer me a lower price?"Realizing I wasn't some idiot customer and that I actually knew my stuff, he huffed and puffed away to go talk to the sales manager. This is a lie in it's own. They don't go to discuss things and he isn't in my corner. They go over and say "See that clown, he wants to negotiate, pretend like we are discussing things."Finally he comes back and passes me off to the "sales manager" because he no longer wants to deal with me. After some back and forth we come to a deal. They fix a few things and knock off some money I take the car. Few days later I take delivery.A couple of days later I notice some clumping in the suspension. I call them up to use my 30 day warranty. Fighting me tooth and nail they finally agree to look at it. I tell them exactly whats wrong (from experience) and they look at it and tell me its fine and normal. Bull poopie. I take it to my personal trusted mechanic and sure enough, it was exactly what I said it was. Yet they still refused to fix anything.Never trust any car salesmen and especially the lot at Mitchell. Out right dishonest jerks.

Had difficulty figuring out some advanced parts of the Legacy Navigation System. The documentation isn't the easiest to follow and there's not much online in the way of tutorials. I am new to the Mitchell Auto Group and did not buy my vehicle there because I didn't live in this area. I have moved to the area and called Mitchell to service my vehicle. The service folks are friendly and informative, the waiting areas clean and very nice, the time to schedule a visit was less than 2 days for a routine maintenance and they had an internet coupon for 10% off the charge. When I moved to Canton 9 years ago, I needed a car. While driving past Mitchell daily, I fell in love with the 2005 Outback which fit my active lifestyle perfectly. Just wanted to take a moment and thank Jay Barnard and Greg (who's last name is escaping me as I am writing this) for a truly excellent buying experience at Mitchell Subaru!! I haven't bought a car in almost 20 years and was very nervous about how it would all play out. Jay couldn't have been more helpful and informative about the Subaru I was looking at. The whole process was very quick and comfortable! I never once felt pressured! Jay was the seller and Greg was the finance guy and both were equally great!!! If you are in the market for a Subaru, make the trek to Canton, CT and buy your next Subaru here!! You won't regret it!!!!

I will never return here. Complete disorganization, 'first come first served' service experience makes appointments pointless and time management impossible. I was charged twice the quoted amount for brake fluid replacement, quoted (and refused) remote key fob replacement for 2X what another dealer quoted, was told an oil leak requires $1800 head gasket replacement, which subsequently turned out to be a $50 oil pressure switch replacement! The internal communication at Mitchell is equally poor..Rather than a reply from the Service Manager, I was contacted by their VW dealership about my inquiry about a used convertible??!?? This was the single worst, not to mention dishonest, service experience I have ever encountered.

The service department is appallingly unprofessional and untrustworthy. After confusion and delay when arriving for a scheduled appointment (they seemed to run the place as first come first served, ignoring service appointments), they charged 2X the quoted amount for brake fluid replacement, and diagnosed an oil leak as a $1800 head gasket replacement. Another highly reputable mechanic subsequently determined there is no head gasket leak, rather charged me $40 to replace an oil pressure switch. Mitchell also quoted over 2X what another dealer charges to make a duplicate remote key fob. I WILL NEVER let them touch my car again.

The people at Mitchell Subaru are competent and pleasant to work with. The facilities are first rate. All repairs have been done right the first time. As on who values my own time, I appreciate the range of services available, including frss transportation to and from home to the dealership. While the charge rates are high, I am willing to pay to avail myself of them.

I am at a quarter of a million miles on my 1993 Subaru GL Station Wagon. Any repairs needed were done by the servicemen at Mitchell's and I took it over a couple of times where the problem I had was taken care of on the spot with no cost by Vinnie or Ogden. This is my third Subaru from Mitchell's and when Bessie goes I will be back for a new one.

My salesman, Nick Hurley, was patient, honest (yes, a car dealer and honest!) and very knowledgable. He never rushed me, and knew that I was looking around and not in any hurry to purchase a vehicle. I had moved to Connecticut recently and realized that I needed a four wheel drive to help me get through the winters here. I visited Mitchell Subaru often over many months, and initially drove he Cross Trek. Nick knew that I wasn't completely satisfied with the Cross Trek and that I was looking around at three or four other SUV's. Although some of what I was looking at was basically fine, and I could settle for at least one other, what bothered me about the other vehicles was the poor visibility in the rear, and the fact that although they claimed to be all wheel drive, they weren't totally all wheel drive all the time. I learned, not only from Nick, but through a lot of research, that Subaru is the only car that can claim that fact. The bottom line is that when the 2014 Forrester came into the show room, with the new design and all the bells and whistles, once I drove it I was sold. Thank you Nick Hurley, and Mitchell Auto Group. You are the best!

Just moved to Simsbury so I needed to find local Subaru dealer and Mitchell Subaru fits the bill. Recently had maintenance done and was very pleased --you drive up, they take your car, do a once around and then you are greeted by the intake guys ---seems to me they do everything to make you comfortable while you wait. Also had a chance to observe the Service Manager (Rob?) in action with his team and he was all about running a tight ship to keep the customer's wait time down, and to provide great customer service on all fronts. Oh yeah, and my car runs smoothly. MBG.

I have purchased 4 vehicles over the past 15 years from Mitchell Subaru and take my car there for all it's service needs, Vinny is great, he listens to my concerns, answers my questions, calls me with updates and even picked me up at the Canton shopping center when I had too much to carry back to the dealership. As a single woman I could be an easy "mark" at some service shops but I always get fair quotes and I know my repairs are done right the first time, They always notify me of recalls, provide a loaner vehicle when applicable, and are just all around provide a great service experience.

My husband and I just bought a 2014 Forester and had a GREAT experience working with Joe Cabrera. I have been a Mitchell customer for 10 years. I bought a new 2003 Subaru Forester there and, just a few days ago, a used 2010 Forester. The sevice dept. gave my 2003, ten years of excellent service. , Nick Hurley helped me find the 2010 Forester that I was looking for. Drew F was a great salesman to work with. He was down to earth and realistic from the start, and was careful to make sure that the deal fit our needs. This was a refreshing change from another dealership we had met with recently. We told him what our needs and our budget were, which car we were interested in, and he was able to make it all fit. He even stayed late to make sure we were satisfied with the car we had selected. Greg in finance was great to work with also, having everything very organized for a quick and easy pick up. Both Drew and Greg worked hard to create the exact car buying experience we had hoped to find. We'll definitely be back, and will be telling people about Mitchell Subaru until we are.

I just went in for what must have been my 10th or so service visit at Mitchell Subaru. I put a lot of miles on my car and make sure I get it serviced as recommended. As usual, my car was taken care of without fail. The people at Mitchell must be well trained in customer service. Because everyone always makes eye contact, smiles and says hello. I have been to a few Subaru dealerships over the years for service. But this is the only one I would ever consider giving a recommendation for everything: well done.

After pulling out of a very disappointing experience at a Worcester-area dealership, we were recommended to Mitchell. We received excellent attention and even had a great time with the money guy going over the nuts and bolts of the sale. Because of our work (private boarding school), we needed to do the deal in a single afternoon. We began the process online and were contacted promptly. The salesman was very helpful, by email and phone, in getting us ready for our arrival, and once we stepped into the showroom, he moved us through the process smoothly and efficiently. I rate Mitchelll five stars! I was due for an oil change and my car was making a funny noise upon starting (which disappeared after it was runnng a while). I called to make an appointment and the first thing I was told was, my car had two recall items to attend to. They asked me to bring my car in the night before so they could do a cold start (so they could hear the noise) and find out what the problem was. I was told on the phone it COULD be the heat shield and the price of heat shields. I dropped my car off and picked up the loaner THEY provided me (unlike another Subaru dealership in the Hartford area which charged me for a car RENTAL after they told me THEY provided a loaner, I digress..........) anyway, The next day I called and my car was ready. When I went to pick it up, I found out it WAS the heat shield(s) but they/it only needed to be tightened (I didn't need new ones). My bill for the oil change and the repairs was well under $100.00. I guess they certainly COULD have ripped me off, but they should didn't. My father had a great experience with Mitchell Chrysler/Dodge/RAM and I had a most excellent experience at their Subaru dealership. They will get ALL of my business from now on - including a new car when it's that time. I highly recommend them

Recently I reached out to Mitchell Subaru for an online quote. I live in Atlanta, GA, but mistakenly I thought Mitchell Subaru of Canton was in Canton Georgia. In any case, Chris Townsend called me and after we had a laugh about the mix up, he proceeded to help me with pricing a Subaru Outback anyway. He gave me a lot of facts and figures over the phone and even sent me an Email with figures and what would be a fair price for what I was looking for and why. I was extremely impressed with the open and helpful way Chris approached this situation, even though he had nothing to gain from my transaction. I was dreading the typical dealership experience. I had already walked out on a salesman on one lot, for high pressure tactics. I had another salesman try to sell me a car, without wanting me to take it for a test drive outside of the lot! Ryan Hewey changed my attitude about car buying. From the first moment, he listened to why I wanted the car, and what my criteria were. He asked me pointed questions, and gave me options that I hadn't considered, though I had already done considerable homework. He was extremely knowledgeable about every single spec on every car on the lot, new and used. The details he was able to provide, and the quality of service at Mitchell were unparallelled in my prior experience. Ryan encouraged me to do all the research I needed, to make me comfortable with my final decision, confident of the fact that once I did the research, I'd return. He was right! I know that when the time comes, I will be returning to Mitchell Subaru for another car, and I hope that Ryan is still there when I do!

I just purchased my first Subaru...I found the car I wanted at Mitchell Subaru. I emailed back and forth a bit with my sales rep, Joe C. and he was extremely helpful. He actually returned a message I left for him while he was not even in the office. This dealership was a 45 minute ride from my house and I tell you I will return there for my first stop the next time I need a car. Painless process...and not the typical dealership arrogance...from every employee giving a smile to Joe and the Spiro actually having personalities...there was no false fronts put on. Awesome place to buy a car. We bought our first car in 2008 and its an 05 forester , it's going strong! We were so happy with it we went back to Mitchell to buy another used car. Salesmen are great. They take time to answer all questions, and they will show you as many cars as you want. They are upfront and honest. I was very impressed with the entire buying process and overall experience. We went in knowing what we wanted and the salesman, Josh, understood that and handled the situation perfectly. Found a 2006 Toyota RAV4 on cars.com at Mitchell Subaru at a very appealing price. Contacted Chris Townsend that morning and set up an appointment to check it out. Chris was very accommodating and helpful, as was Jay who accompanied me on a test drive since Chris was with another customer. Being from Massachusetts, I was prepared for a multi-day process to get the car on the road, and time was on the essence as it was for my daughter who had her car totaled in an accident a week prior, and attends school two hours away from me. I'm happy to report that about 30 hours from the first time I walked into the dealership, my daughter was driving away in this car! Chris reached out via e-mail and texting to get the necessary documents from us to print out and get the deal done. When we arrived to meet with the business office, the plates were on the car and after a brief appointment with the business office, we were on our way! I would highly recommend Mitchell Subaru as the environement is professional and friendly. I actually HATE going to car dealerships and tried for a week to find a car through a private seller, with no luck. I was dreading the high pressure and dealer overhead, but experienced no pressure whatsoever and feel that the price I paid for this car was very reasonable (believe me, I had done my research!) My daughter is thrilled, as am I. I would highly recommend Mitchell Subaru as it was a totally positive experience.

We recently purchased a 2014 Subaru Forester at Mitchell Subaru. We choose to make the trip to Connecticut as they had the exact vehicle we wanted. We dealt with Chris Townsend for the entire process, which was by phone until the actual pick up. After a long drive to the dealership is was a great relief to have Mr. Townsend meet us at the door and immediately take us to our fully prepared new car. Chris sat in the car with us, going over all of the bells and whistles and answering all of our questions. He even set our phone up on the Bluetooth feature. When we were satisfied with our "tour" of the car we moved on to the paperwork. Again, everything had been prepared and all that was needed was our own signatures. It was the most pleasant experience we have had in buying /leasing a new vehicle. We recently purchased a 2013 Subaru Forester, we look and look online for the best price and found it at Mitchell Subaru in Canton. All of the staff were very professional and most of all we didn't felt harass by any salesman when we were looking at the cars in the parking lot. We went inside the nice office and ask for help... Jay Barnard was our sales consultant which answer all of our questions and Spiro Mavredakis the Business Manager which didn't push us to purchase anything extra but explain to us all of the option we had...... overall they help us with professionalism and courtesy. We drove the car and purchase it the same day. All of the staff were excellent and very professional they make us feel very relax and comfortable with all the transactions from the beginning to the end when we drove our new car home.

(1) Our sales rep was Tim Miller. He was very good: well-informed, friendly, helpful, straightforward, quiet & mild-mannered, not pushy or insistent, moderately-paced so we could digest what he was saying. And he LISTENEDto BOTH of us. He picked up on the considerations that were important to us and did not dwell on the bells & whistles which were not (although he knew them all). If one of us raised a question or concern, Tim responded directly to that person, not presuming to address one of us more than the other. He was knowledgeable in all areas: features of various models & trim levels, engine & drivetrain (he used to be a mechanic), Forester generations (we were considering used as well as new), service, etc. And at pick-up time he went over the whole car with us, including setting up a couple of the electronic gizmos for us that we might never have got around to. (1a) We want to also thank Joe (Cabrera?) who once pinch hit when Tim was not available. He was accommodating, attentive, friendly and helpful. (2) Spiro Mavredakis arranged the financing & registration. He also was low-key and responsive to our questions. He made sure we were informed about what we were choosing and did not rush us. (We were initially skeptical about the hi-tech desk surface display of the dollars and options, but it did a reasonably good job.) (3) Service was needed for one minor problem that Tim spotted (which we missed). He arranged it (no charge) at our convenience. The service department seemed well-set-up: convenient drop off, courteous staff, arranged so service reps can easily discuss things with the customer, trying to minimize customer wait-time, loaner handy, etc.

I really enjoyed my buying experience at Mitchell Subaru and I love my Legacy. Nick Hurley was my salesperson and he was very courteous and attentive. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars across the board was the fact that when I drove the car home I noticed my brake light was out. When I informed them of this they fixed it no questions asked, which I appreciated, but it would have been better it that were done before I drove the car home. Still though I would definitely recommend Mitchell Subaru and Nick in particular.

I inquired about the car that saw through cars.com. The car was in stock and the internet description was accurate. Chris was very friendly and helpful. I felt the price that they gave me for my trade-in was fair considering its condition. There a couple of thing about the used car that they failed to mention but the price reflected the condition I suppose. The only problem I had is that I had to wait over an hour for the finance person to finish. Overall I would recommend the dealership.

I recently purchased my 2nd Subaru Outback from Mitchell Subura after putting 247,000 miles on my 2004 Outback it was time for a new one. I decided to look for a used Outback with low mileage and I went to Mitchell because my last expierence buying my new Outback in 2004 was fantastic. I met Chris Townsend late one evening and he showed me a few used Outbacks. We took one for a test drive even though it was pretty close to closing time. Chris is an extremely knowlegeable and really knows his products. He was very helpful in getting me into the right vehicle. I am very fussy about my car purchase knowing I was certainley going to have the car for at least four to five years. Chris is a great salesman and was very patient and attentative to my buying needs including specs and price. After meeting with Chris a couple of times he found me the perfect Outback at the right price and the deal was done. Chris is an asset to Mitchell Subaru and I would definitely buy my next Subaru from Chris at Mitchell Subaru. Also not that Subaru's need much service but just in case the Service Dept. is top notch managed by Odgen and Vinny.

Traded in 2010 Outback that I had also purchased & had serviced at Mitchell. I liked the Outback but it was going off warrantee so I had them give me a trade-in price on a 2014 Forrester. The price & trade was right and very competitive with other dealers, & I like their low pressure approach so i decided to purchase it there. They did a great job of getting my car, prepping it, and steamlining the trade, paperwork, etc. My experience with Mitchell over the past 3 years was a major reason for me to purchase there again.

My wife and I were shopping for a new Subaru Outback and went to numerous dealerships in the state. At some the salespeople were very helpful and polite, but couldn't offer a competitive price, while others offered to beat any rival's number, but badgered us mercilessly to buy the vehicle on the spot, as well as to add unnecessary features to the car. Mitchell Subaru was the pleasant exception in that the sales staff were low pressure and *also* offered us a very competitive deal. The salesperson we worked with, Chris Townsend, was extremely helpful. He asked where we were from early in the conversation and correctly guessed that, having come from an hour away, we'd probably visited other dealerships previously. Rather than warning us off of competitors as other salespeople had, Chris offered up front to give us any information we needed to compare Mitchell's selection and offers with those of other dealers. He showed us the cars in their inventory that were at the trim level we'd requested without trying to sell us up to a more expensive model. Afterward he wrote out a detailed breakdown of the dealership's offer on each vehicle, which he let us keep (some other dealers wrote out their pricing on paper only to yank it away when we got up to leave). When we left, he didn't attempt to put the pressure on or trap us for 40 minutes when we said we "needed to think about it." And when we returned with a competitive offer from another dealership, Chris and Mitchell Subaru were able to match the price to within a few dollars. Chris was extremely helpful and low pressure. Our experience with the dealership's finance manager, Spiro Mavredakis, was similarly smooth. As we filled out the purchase paperwork, he went over the company's various service and warranty plans without giving us a hard sell on any of them. Every dealership we visited said they were "low pressure," but Mitchell Subaru was the only one that lived up to the claim. Their pricing and professionalism spoke for themselves and made them the obvious choice in the end. While opening up one's wallet for a new car is never a wholly pleasant experience, there was nothing painful about our dealings with their sales staff. They earned our business in every respect and we're extremely happy with our new car.

This past weekend I purchased a new vehicle from Mitchell Subaru. Paul Olsen and Jason Ford provided their expertise when choosing a car which best fit my current needs. During this process all of my many questions and concerns were timely and patiently handled as I had hoped. After test driving a 2013 Impreza WRX, Legacy 2.5i, and XV Crosstrek, I ultimately decided to purchase the Legacy. This deal involved trading in my past SUV which had been fairly appraised by the sales team earlier in the process. Spiro organized and presented multiple options to finance, at the best possible rate, and protect my new vehicle. I appreciate the time Spiro took to make these options easy to understand and the recommendations he made moving forward. Paul also made sure to personally outline all of the features of my new car before wishing me farewell. Overall I was treated with courtesy and respect and am pleased with my new Subaru Legacy. I recently worked with Greg Wheeler at Mitchell Subaru in purchasing a new vehicle. I had a great experience from start to finish. The process was low pressure and Greg was very responsive to all my questions throughout the process. Based on all of the information I found around the web and from competing dealers I felt that I received a very fair deal on all aspects of the purchase (new vehicle, trade-in and extended warranty). Post purchase Greg followed up quite a bit to address any questions or issues I had (although there were none!). In addition to purchasing a new vehicle I have had my previous vehicle and new vehicle serviced through Mitchell and whether it be routine maintenance, warranty work, or other repairs, I've never had a problem with the service team or any service itself which was performed on my vehicles. In September 2012 I purchased a 2013 Subaru Outback. I had a 2001 Toyota Highlander I was looking to replace. The new larger size of the Outback appealed to me. I have been very happy with my purchase. I love the white color, LOVE the puddle lights, love the optional rubber floor mats, especially in the rear. With the turned up edges, the rear mat really contains the yard waste and branches that I take to the dump. I love that the car has modern features, satellite radio, phone, blue tooth, etc. that really work today. I also like the V-6 power and the way the car handles in the snow. My salesman was Jay Bernard. He was very helpful, as were all the other salesmen I encountered who were able to answer additional questions or fill in if Jay was out of the office. It felt like a team working for me to help me arrive at the right decision.

I bought a 2012 Outback in November of 2011 and had a great experience at Mitchell Subaru. Unfortunately, my car was recently in an accident and was totaled. So, now I am purchasing my second Outback with Mitchell Subaru. Tim Miller is my salesperson and he's the only salesperson in my lifetime (and I've bought 10 new cars over the years) who took the time to help me get set up in my new car. He programmed all of my radio stations, linked my phone up to the Bluetooth, and showed me what every button in the car did. Not to mention, every time I'm in there having an oil change, he always stops and takes time out to see how I'm doing, how my car is doing and if everything is going ok. I've never had a salesperson as attentive as Tim Miller. I highly recommend asking for him if you ever stop by Mitchell Subaru. I haven't had too much exposure to the rest of the team at Mitchell, but everyone is always polite and courteous. They are a great dealership!!!

Chris Townsend was an great salesman and a great resource of information. I really enjoyed working with him, even though we weren't able to find the right car for my needs. My only complaint for the dealership is that the used cars I looked at all seemed to be very dirty on the inside, ie. trash, stains, and dirt. I understand that they are used vehicles, but I think most people would appreciate seeing a used car in as clean condition as it can be, to make the car seem more appealing to buyers.

I spent a couple of months researching cars for my first new car. I knew what I was looking for, and Subaru had the best vehicle for me. After checking online at cars.com and all local dealerships, I came across the car I was going to buy. I test drove a couple of different models at another dealership, but they just weren't what I was looking for. I checked online at Mitchell Subaru, and found the 2013 WRX that I wanted. When I went there, the car was waiting for me in the showroom. Jay Barnard checked on me, and after a brief exchange, I was hooked!! I knew the price was right, and Jay treated me right. Within a week, I drove away with my new car, and couldn't be happier! I stopped in for my first service last week, and was in and out in the time I was told. And the price came in at less than what I was quoted. Definetely worth checking out. Subaru in general has a great lineup, and outstanding quality.

This was our first time buying a used car in a long time. The buying experience has certainly changed alot with the interent and all the information that is out there. However Mitchell Subaru made it a smooth and very pleasant experience. We had done our research and knew exactly what we wanted. When I saw the car I was interested on online I emailed Chris Townsend. He got got back to me right away with an internet price and we made an appointment with him to view the car. We looked at few other vehicles but had are our eye in one in particular. We met Jason and Spiro as well. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeble. Chris spent time going over the purchase price with us and details of the car. Spiro went over everything from the payment options to warrantly options. Jason was there to answer questions as well. It felt like family and I was assured that they would be there for us should we need anything in the future. I am already thinking about buying a second car, lol. Overall I would say we had a very positive experience so far and I would highly recommend Mitchell Subaru. There are a lot of dealerships out there but for me I look for true customer service and a dealership that stands behind their product and takes care of their customer's needs. We bought a '13 Outback from Greg Wheeler at Mitchell l. This makes our 5th Subie overall, and our second purchase from Mitchell. We have a Subie dealer 3 miles from our home, but Mitchell made it worth the 90 minute ride to go purchase from them on our last two purchases. We knew exactly what car we wanted/what color/options. I emailed 11 different dealers in the area, and asked for their best and final price on exactly the car I wanted. Greg at Mitchell was one of the 7 who responded. He had the best price. We exchanged 2 or 3 more emails to finalize things, and then went to the dealership to pick it up. They treated my wife and me with great courtesy. The paperwork was smooth. I was also amazed that Greg took time out of a busy selling day (Saturday morning) to deliver the car and make sure that my wife and I were both completely familiar with the numerous buttons and controls on the car. At first, I thought that was going to be a waste of time (his and ours), but the car does have a crazy number of interior controls/buttons, so very glad he did! For my next car purchase, I will probably still look for my best price; but (if Mitchell is not the lowest), I will probably loop back to them to see if they can meet/beat my best price. I have already recommended Greg and Mitchell to two friends who live near me, telling them it was worth the drive.

I bought a 2005 WRX from Manchester Subaru in April of 2007 and took it to Mitchell Subaru for all its servicing. The service department has been amazing since day 1 and they always get the job done the right way. Back in January, I decided it was time to get a new car and I knew right away that I wanted a new WRX and that I wanted to buy from Mitchell. Joe Cabrera was my salesman and he did a great job making me feel comfortable with the experience and offering a pretty solid deal right off the bat. I miss my 05 WRX, but I'm loving every second with the 13. I would absolutely recommend Mitchell for both its service department and its sales department.

My wife and I have owned 5 Subaru's over the past twenty plus years. After "trying out" 4 different Hartford area Subaru dealerships, we chose to exclusively service our cars at Mitchell about 12 years ago, and last September purchased our new Crosstrek from them. Our solid experience in the service area, where they helped us to keep our 98 Legacy Wagon on the road and feeling many years younger than it's age, led us to the new car purchase. Our Sales Associate, Tim Miller, was knowledgeable, attentive, and patient with us, as were the other "personalities" that we encountered in the sales room. It may be hard to believe, but we actually looked forward to our trips to the showroom. It may be worth noting that we were Toyota Prius owners, and at one time thought that we would never again consider the purchase of a car that provided much poorer gas mileage. However, we came to conclude that the safety, reliability, and actual economy of the Subaru surpassed the great mileage of the Prius. It just felt better, especially with winter snow, or even heavy rains at other times of the year. And, Subaru has done a solid job of improving the mileage of the Impreza and Crosstrek models that we were considering. While in route to New Orleans, to donate our Prius to a family member, we received a call from Tim that a delivery of new vehicles had been received. It included 3 Crosstrek's- the first 3 to be received at Mitchell. We arranged for our purchase over the phone, having only seen the vehicle in pictures over the Internet. Two days after our arrival back in Connecticut, we took possession of our car, and have been very pleased with our purchase ever since.

When it was time to replace our older car, we decided to buy another Subaru Outback since we really like the 2005 we bought from Mitchell eight years ago. We had a very good experience with them then and it was no different now. We visited a few other dealers in the area, but went back to Mitchell in the end. They have always been polite, professional, honest, and helpful in any dealings we have had with the sales and service departments. This time Tim Miller sold us our Outback. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful in answering all our questions and showing us the features of the 2012 model. He followed up after the sale and left us completely satisfied. My husband and I went to another Subaru before we went to Mitchell's. Chris was our sales person. I really like his attitude toward selling a car: he was trying to introduce us a good car (he drives one too) but not pushy, totally the opposite from the sales person we met at the other dealer. We felt we can trust Chris and that is very important for my husband and I. The price was good, and the service was good. When we have to retire my husband's car, we will definitely go to Mitchell's for another Subaru from Chris.

I live in MA and there is a Subaru dealer in my hometown, and many more closer, but I drove 1 and 1/2 hours away to Mitchell Subaru and drove off their lot in my new Subaru the same day. They offered a much better "deal" and were very upfront. My salesman Joe Cabrera was very helpful and "no pressure" . I would say that buying a car is probably in my top three things I hate to do, but after this purchase at Mitchell and their staff and salesman Joe Cabrera, I must say I was very satisfied.

Although there was one visit where we were ignored when the dealership was busy, and a person manning the front desk one evening gave confusing information, generally the service was good and the salespeople were helpful. Our 2008 Outback just clicked over 70,000 miles and we decided it was time to buy a second one to end the "who gets the Subaru today" arguments. Stopped by Mitchell one Sunday afternoon and were greeted by a young salesman by the name of Joe Barbrera. This was to be the fourth Outback that we had purchased from Mitchell so Joe did not have to do very much selling. We came back the following Saturday and Joe back-seated for a test drive. We were interested in the new CVT transmission, all of our previous Outbacks had been 5 speed manual, and our first moments behind the wheel were a bit of a learning experience. Joe really helped us get the hang of it and was a good teacher. Walked over to the Service Department and talked to Ogden and Vinny who have been servicing my past Outbacks for as long as I care to remember. I find them quite helpful and trustworthy and i asked lots of questions about the 2013 and the CVT transmission. The answers were sufficiently reassuring so I was sold. We had our ten month old Australian Shepherd pup with us and Joe and the dog took an immediate liking to each other.To make a long story very short, my wife and I walked out with a new 2013 Outback and Sophie (the pup) walked out with a new chew toy and a new friend named Joe.

We headed to Mitchell Subaru after locating a vehicle online that met our criteria. The price was competitive and I was really pleased to find a 2010 with under 25k miles on it in the trim level I was looking for. We dealt with Jay Barnard over the phone and found him to be friendly and responsive. Spiro hooked us up with a great rate for financing and a deal on a Subaru warranty allowing us to stay within our budget. Despite us being NY residents, we were able to complete the transaction in one visit. Permanent NY plates were mailed to us and the process was smooth and uneventful. There were no surprises along the way, I am happy with the cost and condition of the vehicle I purchased and the customer service we experienced. We are also loving our new used Outback. I would easily recommend this dealership.

I swear, I could have given Tim Miller, my sales associate, a heart attack with all the running around I made him do. The process for me was painless and I am thrilled to have made the switch to Subaru. From the moment I walked in I felt that everything was very clear, supported, and transparent, not what one typically expects from a car dealership. Tim gave me excellent time and attention, even encouraging me to challenge the car a bit with hills and some snow, knowing that this would be my first AWD experience and that safety was vital for me. Mitchell Subaru worked hard for a couple weeks to find us the car we really wanted, a 2013 WRX Premium hatchback. Apparently, these are nearly impossible to get, but Joe Cabrera our sales person, made it happen. He found one that had been ordered by another dealer, and worked out a trade. The way I heard it, he was waiting at the other dealer as the car was unloaded from the truck, and drove it back to Mitchell immediately before someone else had the chance to buy it out from under us. The entire experience at Mitchell was great, especially after having a such horrible experience at a Subaru dealer in Manchester NH (we ordered a car and we never got it after waiting 5 months). The best I can figure is that they lost the order, as similar cars ordered after ours were appearing on the lot - and they could not even give us a VIN for the car we ordered... Anyway enough ranting. Mitchell Subaru was worth the two drives down from New Hampshire. We really do love our new WRX!! And as a friend and fellow Subaru owner at work says, with Nokkian snow tires on a Subaru, you can easily get through the winter, heck, you can climb trees.

If the majority of car dealerships approached selling cars the way Mitchell Subaru does, there would be a very different stereotype for car sales persons out there. There really was very little "selling" involved...more like demonstrating and exchanging information. Some of that came from Subaru making a great product (I bought a Forester) whose all wheel drive, drivability, interior quality, and comfort stood out from competing vehicles for me. Joe Cabrera and Josh Field made the process easy. On our first visit to Mitchell to check out the car and sit in it, Josh greeted us and answered a few questions. When we came back hoping to buy, Josh was busy but promptly introduced us to Joe who showed me the cars thoroughly, helped with test drives, and completed the buying process. There was no bickering over whose customer it was, just two nice guys helping a customer. I had done my research going in on price and features. I didn't have to buy the car that day and was ready to walk if they didn't hit my price. To my surprise, the first number they put down exceeded my expectations. I didn't even bother to try haggling it down. They gave me a fair price for my trade and financing was a snap...no arguments over the low rate in effect for their year end promotion. I had a used Subaru years ago and we had leased another about 10 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see both service managers Ogden and Vinny still there...we're talking over 20 years with the same dealership. They are top-notch and it is evidence that they are treated well and like what they do. Great car, great dealership...I'm very happy with the whole experience.

Subaru's are an easy buy/ sell because if you have ever owned one before as I have several times over the years, you already know they are the best deal for your money. Having said that, I knew I wanted a new Impreza , what I didn't know was, where and who to buy from. Buying from Chris Townshead was my choice.. Buying and driving a good car can sometimes be challenging. If you want to actually enjoy the experience, I recommend Chris, along with my Impreza. Both are smart, fun,easy to deal with and young...although the car a bit QUICKER.

Ask for salesman Chris. Wanting a specific and rare make and model, I called and visited several other dealerships across the state and one after the other either told me they could not locate the car, asked me to call them back in a month, or insisted on a $500 deposit to perform the search. When I contacted Mitchell and spoke with salesman Chris Townsend, he was able to locate my car within 10 minutes, no questions asked. The other salespersons just didn't want to do any more work then they had to. Chris was never pushy nor did he ever try to stear me to another car that was more easily accessible to them as other dealerships tried to do. The buying process was very quick and Chris was very professional and calm and made the often hectic and stressful experience of buying a car very easy. Chris was able to get me exactly what i wanted with even a couple more options then i had desired and for a great price. My poor minivan died suddenly on a Friday leaving me and my family having to make sudden decision about a new car in less than 48 hours. The salesman, Chris Townsend was a complete gentleman over the phone, explaining that the car had just came in as a trade-in and that many people were interested due to its low miles. I knew the car would go fast because of that but I could not get to the dealership before 5 p.m. due to work. Chris promised that he would hold it for me which I feel he did not have to do but he was willing to forego a possible chance to sell it earlier. I arrived a litttle after 5 p.m. and as promised the car was there and proved to be a gem!I bought the car that night and must say dealing with Chris was a pleasure, so much so that I took the time to write the owner a letter of commendation to Chris and the entire staff the I dealt with. really nice women and men at the desks, helped us get our recall taken care of within a couple hours but still offered to shuttle us home if we didn't want to wait. we didn't need to, but it was nice to be asked. got a chance to schedule our next oil change while we waited. pretty good coffee in the waiting area too. :)

sold me a used Mini Cooper with non functioning srs system (thats right no air bags in a Mini Cooper ) when I called them they sais too nbad so sad your from out of state.DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR PURCHASE!

We liked the "no-pressure" sales approach where Drew and Chris listened to our needs and provided multiple options for the vehicles as well as for financing. I would recomend this dealership very high for freindlyness . They took very good care of me from beginning to end. The only negative: you will get hit with a VIN # engraving charge on your glass. I am sure this engraving was already there (on the vehicle when it was traded in) so I was annoyed that they put that in and never said a thing about it until I was there signing the papers with my wife. I said nothing because I did not want to upset her when she was so happy about the car.

Chris Townsend contacted us by E-mail in responce to our online request for prices on a 2012 Subaru Outback with a 2008 Outback trade-in. Chris was able to offer the exact car we were look for and provide a reasonable trade-in range for our 2008. Working with Chris was a pleasaure and Greg provided meaningful advice in arriving at an "out the door price". Edward processed all the final paperwork in a busness like manner and we drove home the car we wanted at the price we wanted to pay.
