My experiance with Chris (salesman) at Norm's was excellent. With Winter coming and knowing I was going to need a more dependable vehicle I decided I wanted another Subaru. I had been looking for awhile and did check out other used dealerships, but Norm's whole team from the salesman to the service department answered all my questions and concerns and really treated me like I was important. It didn't feel like they were just selling a car, but making me feel like I can stop by anytime with any questions I may have. They couldn't have been nicer and since my purchase a month ago, my significant other has also purchased a used vehicle from Norm's. I would not hesitate to go back when I may need of another Subaru. I am also very pleased to have purchased the extended warranty. It gives me comfort for the next 4 years.

I had a really great experience here. I appreciate Norm giving me a deal and Billy was fabulous as a sales person. I have never felt at ease buying a vehicle and Billy made me laugh alot and made me comfortable. I will certainly be recommending people to come here to Norm's.

Met Bill at the Used Truck store, unlike any other place I went I was treated with respect and w/o pressure. It took me 3 or 4 visits to pin down exactly what I wanted, each time I left, Bill just said well the right one will show up in time and it did. He helped me get a loan{this was my first time} and walked me through all the steps. I appreciate his time and would tell anyone to go to Norm's ! They sell cars as well.

This is the Third car Billy has sold my family in the last 2 years. My daughter totaled one of the family cars. I called Billy and said I was in need of a replacement and fast. 3 hours later I showed up and he had already had exactly what I needed picked out and pulled in front of the showroom. 30 minutes later I was the proud owner of a newer Forester. Just like a hairdresser, when you find one you like , stick with them. ps he works with a great crew and always provides a lot of laughs !

Found a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon online that was just what I was looking for.... low miles,and reasonably priced. Called Norm's and drove to Maine the next day. Took the Jeep for a ride, crawled around underneath it, and said "I'll take it." They came down a bit on the price and while we were doing the paperwork, the Jeep was washed and vacuumed. Very easy purchase of a good used vehicle. Thank You.

Walked into the truck store,Told Bill I needed an inexpensive 4X2 pickup for my business. Having bought two cars from him before we had a mutual trust. He showed me what I asked for, I liked it. Gave him a check,truck was ready the next day. Why can't everything be that easy? 2 Men Plus One Truck = One transaction. Done !

After being told by several dealers in not such a nice way sometimes that we could not get a loan for a truck,a friend told us they just got a truck from Bill at Norms. We thought , why not give it a try. Bill happened to be working at the truck store that day , so after a few minutes he came out and greeted us. We were upfront and told him our credit was less than perfect and he suggested we pick out a truck within reason we would like and he would take a credit application before we went on a test drive, and would talk to the banks. We took a 20 min drive and when we came back he said we were approved with a couple of things like paycheck stubs and such. He said he was sorry the rate was a little high, [6 points less than the last dealer quoted] but he was able to fit it into our comfort range. While Bill was doing the paperwork with us, he answered all our 3 yr old son's questions, never breaking stride. End result we left with a really nice truck and we feel like we got a great deal from a really nice guy ! Always give Norms a shot if you neede a used car

Just purchase our 2nd vehicle form Norm's, we really love our Subaru. Carmine was terrific! nice, easy going , he let us try all the cars we were interested with no pressure. This was a welcome change from the other dealers we visited. Thanks Norm we'll see you for the 3rd!

Went to try out a 2011 Element Billy (salesman) handed me the keys said try it out. I got no information given I had to keep asking questions and no showing the features of the car. Didn't come outside to show me how the back works and when I asked about the cracked back bumper, broken seat he said that's what the difference between new and used is. I wont be back

We were told to ask for Big Billy by a friend who had just bought a car from him, he said the guy was a "Hoot" We came into purchase a specific Forester, for specific reason. Billy listened to out logic and said he would bring the car right up, wanted to check gas and cool the car off, a nice consideration on a very hot day. We drove the car for about 15 mins and came back. To out surprise, Billy had brought up another car for us to try. He said this he thought would suit our needs better having listened to our wants and budget. We took the second car out and wanted it before we got out of the yard. Billy had heard every word we said and put all the pieces together. The final outcome was, we left 15.00 a month under our budget, at the 4 year term we wanted and we are warrantied for the entire time of the loan. A win....win for us ! Billy is Big in build. personality and Huge in his ability to listen and do his job ! Go to Norms, Visit Big Billy. On a side note, everyone there seems to help each other and are Happy to do so, I would say it would be nice if the owner did something for them and the customers about the A/C. They have it we were told, just doesn't work well in the summer. BIlly being a Hoot !

Decent prices and selection. Sales staff was friendly and the actual buying process was quick.The issue is that car they let the lot had some issues that I felt were unacceptable. First off there was a crack in the windshield the was covered by one of the stickers. I only saw it when the sticker was removed and I was driving home. When asking the dealership about it they said since it wasn't going to grow and it would still pass inspection they wouldn't replace it.Secondly the tires that came with the car were badly worn on the inner shoulder. Hard to see without really looking. Granted some of that is down to me not looking hard enough but you have a certain expectation when buying a car from a reputable used dealership. Lastly the clutch seems like it has gotten progressively worse since purchasing the car. It worked great on the test drive but only seems to be getting weaker and weaker.Overall disappointed by the quality of the car they let drive off the lot. Things like windshields and tires are a minor cost for a dealership but now they have lost a customer and lost potentially more as I will not be recommending them to anyone.

My son and I stopped by Norms this week and were there just to look. An older man by the name of Bill greeted us. We told him what we were looking for and our price range. He showed us on his menu what they had, and said if he were in our shoes he had a certain car in mind. Mind you we made it clear we were no there to buy. Bill drove an older wagon up front told us to take our time and drive the car, we did and found it to be just what we wanted. Still, we were not sure that it would fit into our monthly budget. Bill called the bank ,spoke with the loan officer and was able to get us an incredible rate as well as a long enough term to make it affordable. When we said that the deal would work and thanked him, he told my son that is was all due to my great credit, and that he had done nothing. We went home in our very nice new/old car that day and we could not be more thrilled. Thanks Bill, and thanks to everyone at Norms Used Cars

This is the 11th car I have bought from Big Billy, I would follow him anywhere ! This car took me to Norm's Used Cars. As usual he had a car waiting for me all warmed up and ready to go. After 2 hours I was on my way home happy and knowing full well why Billy made the big move to Wiscasset. This place and everyone in it was Great ! I highly recommend the scenic drive to the North for a great deal at Norm's and a fun visit with that very entertaining Billy

I had never bought a car from a dealer before. This was my first big purchase on my own. Friday evening I called Norm's and spoke to Billy. I was interested to a particular car and said I could e there first thing Saturday morning when they opened. Bill said he would make sure the car was ready upon my arrival. When I got there the car had a plate on it as well as warmed up and ready to go. He took my trade keys and a said he would look at mine while I drove his. When I got back I told him I wanted to call my Dad for advise, he commented that was a great idea and left me along to chat. When Dad had a question I could not answer I summoned Billy to the phone and the two talked. Billy was able to get me a great term and rate through a NH bank and even though I opted for a 4 tear warranty, my payments were under what I had set for a budget. Everyone there was helpful, I was introduced to everyone there and was made to feel at home. Thanks to everyone at Norm's, the car is great!

Went to Maine, drove two hours, only to run into a salesman that from NH. Billy found us a car that was in our price-range, a payment we could afford , and sent us on our way in under an hour and a half, While he got the car cleaned, he sent us the "Road House" for lunch, and when we got back we signed up and on our way. Just that easy ! I would send anyone to Norm's, to see Billy, it's a fun experience. The road House is great as well !

Back in the "80s" Subaru had a bunch of ads featuring "Mr Easy". We we found him in Wiscasset Me. working at Norms and his real name is Billy ! This guy was quick to please, knows his stuff and wastes no time. We were in and out in 2 hours and left with the car we wanted at a price and interest rate that could not be beat. He offered an extended warranty, we said No and there was no pressure from there. He made car buying fun. We will send all our friends, it is worth the drive !

Norm's provided the cars, Billy and Carmine provided the Entertainment ! Bill let us roam, look and did not pressure us on any way. When we took his idea of what might work for us, he put a plate on it, and let us go. When we got back he offered to show us more, but his first choice ended being ours. He then showed us the car's history and all the work the service dept. had done. He showed us an optional warranty, which we decided to go with to protect the investment, never once did he pressure in any way. While he was doing our paperwork Carmine assisted him by taking off the trade in's plates and installing the temp. plate on our new car and found us a spare key ! This made the process even faster. All the time they were joking with us , each other, and the young gal doing the paper work. Buying a car at Norm's is a blast and the cars are really nice as well !

I called about a car on Tuesday and picked it up on Tuesday. There was a small issue with the radio, I called and they said bring it back, we'll take a look. the next day, they replaced the radio. All the people were very nice and helpful, thanks Bill.

I went car shopping this Saturday (2/14/15) because I was in an accident that did not total my car but did damage it. I felt that since I had been driving it for 7 years and put so many miles on it that it wasn't worth fixing...so off to get a new car I went. I never do anything big like buying a car without research first, so I spent three days combing through cars, dealerships and reviews. I decided on Norm's because of their fair pricing, quality of cars and quality of reviews. I got there and went inside and was greeted immediately and told to go ahead and look around, the keys are in all the doors and if I find something I want to test drive to go ahead and drive it up to the office for a plate. Completely relaxed and no pressure, just how I like it. I went knowing which 2 types of cars I wanted so I found one within 20 minutes that I wanted to test drive. After my test drive I decided to buy it! The actual buying experience was simple. I worked with Bill Eslinger, who was really wonderful. I defintely recommend requesting him if you go to Norm's. He ran my information and found the best possible financing offer, then called that person and asked them to lower the interest rate, which they did by 5 points. Then I requested a longer loan period so that I would have a lower payment and he got the finance company to agree to that too. Last but not least, I had my 10 year old daughter with me and he was great with her too. She stole one of his pens (jokingly) so he gave her 10 pens and a notebook. My daughter loves pens and notebooks, so she was very excited about this. Overall my experience with Bill at Norm's and my buying experience in general was definitely a 5 out of 5. If you need a car and you like the inventory, go see Bill at Norm's!

When my old car died, I dreaded the whole car buying process. After test driving a couple Foresters closer to home, I knew this was the car I wanted, but couldn't find that perfect vehicle. I stumbled on Norm's Used Cars on cars.com and even though they are nearly an hour away, I am so glad I found them! Bill was very pleasant, extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions without ever giving me the impression that I was being talked down to. The only time he made a suggestion contrary to my own rather stubborn opinion was when I said I would arrange financing through my own credit union, but I challenged him to do better than I could find. He took my challenge and ran with it... Nope. I couldn't find better financing anywhere. I can also attest to the cleanliness of the vehicles. On my rather lengthy test drive, my toddler was carsick. I was mortified, but Billy was totally unfazed. The following evening when I picked up my new car to bring it home, the interior was spotless once more. If you are looking for an amazing collection of Subarus to select from, a quality dealership and impeccable customer service, Norm's Used Cars should definitely be on the top of your list to visit!

I had a wonderful experience buying a used car at Norm's. As a single woman I always anticipate being given the run around. Both Chris and Bill were great to work with. I did my home work before hand and they were fair on the price of the car I wanted and were fair on the price of the trade in (a pleasant surprise since the other dealer I spoke with tried to low ball me). Even though I had been pre-approved for financing, Bill found me a much better interest rate. I will definitely recommend them in the future. But, as always, do your homework before hand.

Just bought a 2007 Subaru Tribeca. Bill was so friendly and helpful throughout the purchasing process. When I got the car home I had trouble with it starting. Turns out the battery was dying. They sent someone from the dealership to give me a jump start, I drove to the dealership and they had the battery replaced in 20 minutes. Great customer service! Thank you so much!

We were very happy with the service we received from all of the staff at Norm's Used Cars. Carmine was helpful in helping us choose which vehicle was best for our needs. Bill was amazing in working with the credit union in financing our vehicle. Even without us having perfect credit, Bill was able to get our names on the loan without needing a co-signer, which is ideal since we are trying to rebuild our credit as it is. We purchased a 2003 Subaru Legacy Outback and it is in wonderful condition and we feel we got a good price for the value of the car. We are very happy overall with the purchase and we would definitely recommend Norm's to anybody looking for cars!

My husband and I were very impressed by the service at Norm's Used Cars. They didn't try to "sell" you on anything. We walked the lot, tooks a couple of cars for a test drive, and came inside once we had decided what was best for us. They also gave us a fair trade on our vehicle. The actual buying process was a piece of cake and everyone there was friendly and down to earth! BILL WAS GREAT! Thank you to Bill for a great buying experience!!

Just brought my 2004 Forester into Norm's service Dept. with it's first need of repair. To my surprise, the service writer Eric was as nice as everyone else I dealt with in sales. Eric looked up my account told me the repair was covered under my extended warranty and gave me a loaner while he took care of the problem. In the mean time I looked at some other cars because my daughter is starting to look as well. Both Bill and Chris took the time to explain all the details of each car and did so without any pressure to buy. I would highly suggest to any of my friends to shop, buy, and service at Norms. I am told they have been there for over 35 years and there is a reason for it !

I have had the worst experience of my life dealing with Norm's and their sales team. I bought a 2005 Honda Odyssey and it has been nothing but trouble since. 2 weeks after purchase I had to replace the timing belt and the front brakes were making noise. They said that they fixed the brakes but the noise is still there. Then the power doors started to give me problems. One of them wouldn't close when I was on a slight incline. I have brought it back 2 times and the door is still giving me problems. I never know what light on the dash is going to light up when I get in the van. At one point neither sliding door was working and I had to load my 2 small children into the van through the back hatch. The most recent problem is the van not starting so they sold it to me with an old battery that doesn't hold a charge. The thing that angers me the most is when I told the head sales associate about the problems I was having he told me that it was a used car and these things happen. They do not stand behind their vehicles. Don't make the same mistake I did. Buy your used car from a reputable dealership. I will never recommend anyone to try Norms Used Cars. Now I own a van that I can't get any money for.

My wife and I went in looking for a Subaru. We originally wanted an Impreza but upon seeing the amazing selection she decided she liked the Outbacks better. Our rep, Bill was a truly friendly guy; personable, funny, and charming. He didn't try to push us into more expensive options- in fact, he actually suggested cheaper options than cars that we looked at. He let us test drive as many as we wanted and really helped us consider all the models. We had an older VW that wasn't doing great and Bill was able to get us very fair trade-in value for the car. Later that day we had an '04 Outback that we were really happy with. As an aside- the car seemed to have a battery issue a few days after purchase, so we called Norm's and they immediately took the car in and swapped the battery. Excellent service and care for customers! Thanks guys!

I totaled my van and when I showed up at the dealership to pick one to replace it I was introduced to Billy. He was happy to help me with the insurance process on my old car and then went on to assist in purchasing a new one. He took all the time needed and I never felt pressure of any kind. He listened to my needs and respected my budget. The entire process was done over a couple of days and I could not be happier with my purchase and the entire staff at Norm's !

I visited Norm's used cars and met Billy...a very nice used car dealer. He listened intently, pointed out a few interesting things to educate me in my search. He was a great listener and note taker and only showed me cars I specifically asked for. He promised to search for what I am looking for and will keep in touch. I was very very happy with his style and will go back there as soon as they have an SUV that fits my criteria.

Traveled over 2 hours to look at a car that I had spoken to Bill about after seeing it on the internet. When I arrived for my Sat. Morning appointment Bill had the car pulled up to be test driven with a plate already on it. The car was just as he described it. He offered to show us other cars to compare and provided no pressure. The entire sale was flawless and Bill made the whole process entertaining. After the sale we got a follow up call to make sure all was well and an offer to help when ever needed. To sum it up "Buy from Norm's...Buy from Bill". You will be better for it !
