I'm an 8-year customer of Morristown Mazda but today I am feeling very disappointed with this dealership. I experienced car issues travelling to work this AM - it sounded like my muffler was dragging on the road, but upon inspection it wasn't. Awful, loud metal sound. I turned around and called Mazda to see if they could fit me in today since I need my car to commute. Upon calling the woman transferred me to service. After holding for 5 minutes I hung up and called back. Same woman answered and I reminded her who I was and that my 5-minute hold didn't yield anyone to answer. She said she would find out if they could fit me in. Holding again I then got transferred - I thought it was to the Service Dept. But no, I ended up in a general voicemail box. I now called a 3rd time and the same woman answered. Very frustrated I told her this was my 3rd call and if they could fit me in. She said no, that I could try calling back later in the day and see if they had any openings. Since she obviously didn't understand the urgency of getting this repaired I told her I would take my business elsewhere. She said fine, and hung up. I went to a local garage who promptly diagnosed the problem and was able to fix it in short time. Let me say this experience with the dealership has happened before. The last time I called there was no answer at all. I thought they had closed down. In a time when businesses are scrambling to stay afloat and attract/retain customers, I'm shocked at how Morristown Mazda doesn't seem too anxious to hang onto their clients. From now on I'll take my car elsewhere to an establishment that not only appreciates their customers but shows it. And I hope management addresses their employees on phone interactions and etiquette. My specific call occurred on 2/19/20 at 9:28AM - you should be able to ID this woman from that.

Mazda of Morristown always gets a 5 star rating from me and my family. We have been going to them for years and are NEVER disappointed. Ray is always willing to listen and share the techs recommendations. And Edna is spectacular at follow up. Everyone there is awesome. My daughter has the Mazda in Boston so it gives a Dad tremendous piece of mind knowing the car is mechanically sound.

Went in to purchase a new car for my sister. Our salesman was Adrian Flores. By far the best experience I've had with a salesman and a dealership. Everyone was welcoming and we didn't feel pressured into any deal. Even the financing process was no hassle. Highly recommend this dealership and Adrian!

Had a great experience at Open Road Mazda, shout out to the wonderful, patient, and knowledgeable Adrian Flores for making my first car buying experience an easy one! He helped me drive away with my brand new 2021 CX5 and I couldn’t be more pleased with his service. He was super fun to work with and easy to get a hold of when I had any questions. Definitely visit with place, they work with you, don’t make you feel pressured, and made the leasing process very simple and easy. Adrian is an amazing asset to the team and I look forward to working with him in the future!

I picked up my new CX-5 last weekend. Our salesman Chris Delsordi was so helpful and patient with all of my questions. I have never had such a positive experience as I did with Chris. I will definitely go back to him when I am ready for the next.

I went to the dealer yesterday (05/14/2016) and had a very negative experience. Upon walking into the dealership, I was greeted by no one... which I find very strange. Since this is a car dealership, you would think that someone would approach you. After waiting several minutes, the sales manager came over and talked to me. He asked what I was interested in, which I told him was a mazda 3 hatchback. He sent over one of his sales guy. After greeting the sales guy, he brought up a car and we went on a ride in the car. It was the most awkward ride in a car that I have had in my life. The sales guy said one word on the entire ride "it's my first day here today and I don't know much" and that was it. He didn't tell me anything about the car on the ride. After the ride was over, we went back into the dealership. I asked some questions about different wheel styles, which he was not able to answer. He referred me back to the sales manager. This is where things started going went way south, as if they were not already heading in that direction. The sales manager explained what wheels were available, with which models. I took a look at another model. I then asked the salesman for his business card, as I was not yet ready to pull the trigger on the car. He didn't know what to do, he referred me again to the sales manager. I asked the sales manager for a business card, he said hold on and walked away. I stood there waiting for several minutes, as I watched the sales manager up at the main counter joking with his co-workers. Needless to say, he never did bring me that business card. I walked out of the dealership with a sour taste in my mouth and will never recommend this dealership to anyone I know. I ended up buying a different brand car elsewhere.

Please be very careful when dealing with these guys. They are really smart and know how to trick you. Make sure to check for all hidden cost before agreeing to any deal, as they won't disclose it until the very last minute when the Finance guy sits with you to discuss the actual final numbers. The way they work is like any other dealership, the deal is divided into 2 stages - Stage 1: a sales representative will negotiate the deal with you and make you believe that he is giving you a very good discount and you won't get a better deal anywhere in the market. Once you agree to the deal, they will start doing the paperwork and towards the end will introduce you to a Financing representative. Stage 2: the Financing representative will show you a completely different number with multiple fees and charges added that were not disclosed to you before, which ultimately takes the sale price to the price at which they actually want to sell the car. At that point you will be left with no option but to agree to whatever ridiculous charges they add to your agreed number. But i will suggest that don't let them to make a fool of yourself and walk out of the deal right away. This was an eye-opener for me and want you guys to be mentally prepared for surprises.

I recently went to Open Road Mazda of Morristown to just "look at the new cars", I was not ready to purchase yet. However, my experience with their sales staff I dealt with as well as GM Justin Patel was so impressive and enjoyable, that I decided to purchase car that day - which is not usually my style. I loved how professional and extremely warm all the staff was. I love my new car as well, and will definitely recommend this dealer to anyone I know. I will also come back soon and purchase another vehicle from them soon for my teenage kids. I have not had better car experience yet-they are truly amazing!!!! Suzana

We just picked up a brand new CX-3 Touring from Open Road Mazda in Morristown, NJ. Throughout the process I received the complete information about the model and choices. Nobody tried to rush me or convince me on something that I don't need. This is a small showroom where they spend the time with you in a relaxed atmosphere. In a couple of hours we drove home with our new red beauty and again I spent my money with pleasure. Great management - Justin and superior sales people - Michael!

I recently purchased A Mazda from Open Road in Morristown. The customer service was exceptional. Carlos Silva answered all my questions in a professional yet friendly manner. Justin Patel added his expertise and knowledge of the vehicle. Finally Mike Mago and I were able to negotiate a deal that didn't leave me feeling taken advantage of. This was my second purchase from Open Road and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Really poor experience. Very friendly until negotiating price of the car. Mike, the manager shook hands on negotiated price of the car, then presented a contract with nearly $1600.00 in additional fees (not including any sales tax). As an example they listed "window etching" and refused to take it off the contract (the windows were not etched!). Several other hand written fees as well. Evidently, you are required to negotiate and shake hands twice at Mazda of Morristown! I walked out. Ended up purchasing from another Mazda dealer (dealer fees were ~$400.00).

My salesperson, Amr Elsayed made this the best experience in my many years of buying cars.. He was informative, helpful beyond expectations, and made the whole buying process easy and run smoothly. He went out of his way to help change the car ownership late in the process. His professional behavior was also continued by everyone we had contact with at Open Road Mazda of Morristown.

I had been doing extensive research and shopping for my new vehicle. I am not an easy shopper. I am polite, but I have high expectations and I go in the office well informed. I was greeted by the Internet manager when entering the dealership. She was kind, and told me that should would have Carlos, sales representative, work with me. I was offered water/coffee prior to Carlos coming out, and I did accept a courtesy water. Carlos was interested in getting me to a test drive as soon as he could. Carlos listened to my needs, and even made some suggestions as to what he would recommend without being too pushy. Ultimately, I was between CX-3 and CX-5. I felt the CX-3 was an excellent vehicle, but given my needs and my frame (I'm 6'2"), I felt the CX-5 better suited my tastes. Carlos was willing to talk numbers without running finance, though he reminded me that the finance process could potentially change a number based on some factors (fair enough). We talked a bit, and while Carlos did try to stick to a number that was probably better for the dealership, he did negotiate to a fair number without any trouble. Let's face it, some reps and dealerships make it feel like war, this felt like business. Carlos was very down to Earth and pleasant throughout the experience. I never felt pressured, and I never felt like I was a mark. The sales manager, Mike, ultimately helped with the paperwork. Mike was friendly and easy going, like Carlos. Doing the finances didn't feel like being in the "box". I also spoke with the GM of the dealership, and he was exceptionally pleasant and took an interest in what I do for a living (and going into that conversation is like opening Pandora's box). I got the car that I wanted for a price in my range. The dealership is fairly well stocked, I feel it was easy to find, and the showroom has a very open and airy feeling. Overall it was clean and modern, not crowded. It also wasn't overloaded with too much sales material. It appeared that the parts office was also part of the showroom, which gave the dealership a good feeling of united.

I just recently traded in my CX9 for a new CX5 and what a great experience it was! I set the appointment with June Vergel, the BDC Coordinator who warmly greeted me when I arrived. Jonathan Arrante and the sales manager, Mike Mago were terrific. They were were patient with me and went over everything in detail. I never felt pressured at all. I got a great deal and couldn't be happier. It was a completely painless process. They treat you like royalty when you're there, and you don't have to deal with all the gimmicks and games the typical highway dealerships try to pull. Trust me, if you are in the market for a car, this is the place to go!

While spending a very long time searching for the best car for me, I met many salesmen at many dealerships, none of whom came even close to Clark. He was not only well informed about the Mazdas he sells, but also about the competition and was able to give me specific pro/con comparisons. He was even able to alert me to a new model, not yet released, that he thought might be just what I was looking for if I was able to wait. I particularly appreciated the emails he sent with links to published reviews and ratings. As it turned out, I did not choose Mazda, but if that is the car for you, you won't find a more professional or knowledgeable salesperson than Clark Olver.

I have always had a very satisfying customer experience at Open Road Mazda in Morristown. The sales and service personnel are always courteous, they always warmly greet you to the showroom. They are very conversant and knowledgeable about the Mazda products and service details. There has never been any over bearing sales pressure from the sales and service staff. If you are looking for friends to have a casual conversation about cars, or just want to say hello, Open Road Mazda is the dealership for you. I always feel valued as customer and friend at this dealership. I have been very satisfied with my two Mazda purchases and look forward a long term relationship with this dealership. I would like to point out that Mike and all the other associates at Open Road Mazda in Morristown are an asset to the business and should be recognized for the attention they provide to customer service.

This was the third Mazda dealer I went to while shopping for my CX-3. Let's just say it was a waste of my time. If you're willing to shop at a place that "doesn't accept personal checks", this may be for you. But be prepared to be treated in a condescending manner and followed out if you fell the need to take some time to think about your options. I had no issues with my salesperson "Susan K.", but unfortunately there were several people in the background calling the shots. Not only were Mike and Carlos extremely high-pressure but rude and threatening as well. Sadly, their behavior affects the salesperson and because of them Susan missed out on a sale. If this was the only place around, I wouldn't have bought a Mazda!

Just got a new cx-5. So far love the car. Dealt with clark, he was great to work with. Clark knows his stuff, as he own mazdas himself. He didn't rush us and let us ask a whole bunch of questions. He gave us time to think and went through the mini manual page by page with us. He then sat in the car with me and showed me the features I'd eventually be using. Overall it was a great experience. I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. Much better experience than at mazda wayne (felt very rushed and rude sales people).

I bought my car with Amr Elsayed and he was extremely helpful, patient, and reasonable. He was not pushy at all or anything like "car salesman" stereotypes. He has even been in touch afterward to make sure my license and registration were being taken care of and tie up all the loose ends. He worked with us on getting all of the features I wanted within my price range and I walked away with a great car (well under the Blue Book listed value) and great experience. Definitely go see him!! I would even say if someone else tries to help you, ask for him instead (we initially spoke with someone else working there and he was not helpful at all, would have left and gone to another dealer if Amr didn't show up!).

About two weeks ago, my daughter and I visited Open Road of Morristown in search of a used Mazda 3 in perfect condition with low mileage. We could not have been luckier than to be introduced to Amr Elsayed, a Sales Consultant there, who took us under his wing to patiently demonstrate a half dozen possible vehicles and answer dozens of questions and spend hours of his time. Open Road is great because it maintains a large inventory of Certified Pre-owned models in near perfect condition. Amr revealed the pros and cons of each vehicle and helped us select the right model for my daughter. Amr then did an outstanding job of giving us a price proposal that was far better than Kelley Blue Book reported. Amr is an absolute pleasure to work with, so much so that when my son's car died, I drove straight to see Amr before considering another dealer. Needless to say, my son drove away with another immaculate car today. He and I simply could not be happier with Amr. Right now, I'm thinking of trading in my current vehicle with Amr, simply because my confidence and level of trust with him is unsurpassed, and that says something as I've been buying cars for 40 years.

Just constant issues with these people. Bought a new car 6 weeks ago, the transmission has already gone out on it. This wouldn't normally be an issue, but during negotiations they basically said if we took this one instead of the one we really wanted, they'd be able to work with us more on the price...now it's in the shop.Called my wife today and asked her for the title for our trade in...We offered it that day and they refused it, now they want it? Too bad guys.Steer clear of this dealership at all costs. I won't be coming back here.

Arrived on a Monday afternoon. Was greeted by Michael Mago, Sales Manager. He spent a great deal of time with me, talking about the SUV I was interested in and never once pressured me to buy the vehicle. The style I wanted was not on the lot so he went and found me a few options to consider. Once I decided which one I was interested in, the negotiations were professional, no back room secrets or last minute add ons. Going to buy a Jeep, or really any vehicle should be an experience that leaves you feeling better than before you experienced it. These guys, the Sales Manager Omar included not only were hostile but quite obnoxiously yelled at me when I just asked about the Accident on the Car fax that they did not disclose till I arrived. Worse still was his telling my friend who joined me to look at cars that he was not the buyer and that he could leave the facility. Thank GOD there are so many dealerships grouped around these guys because I took my money and bought from one up the street. DO NOT buy from them, there are so many placed to purchase a vehicle that you really dont want to tie yourself these angry charlatans.

Showed up on a Friday afternoon to look at a certified car and was helped immediately. Went for a test drive with Clark, who was very patient and thorough. Ended up coming back in the morning to purchase the car. Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and helpful, and Clark made the experience of purchasing a car easy and quick. Would definitely recommend this dealership to others looking for a vehicle!

I purchased a 2014 mazda sight unseen via the internet. This can be difficult with a used car - but Chris Delsordi with Open Road Morristown has it dialed in. He was excellent - ran an honest, transparent and efficient process. Very happy with the car - it's exactly as Chris represented it. Exactly.

I went in for one car and left with two, THAT is how good Open Road Mazda of Morristown is. I LOVE my new car and the experience that came with it, all thanks to Mahek and Justin! From the first handshake to the last hug, Mahek and Justin were absolute pleasures to work with. I was looking to do a trade in, and after a horrible experience at the Flemington Mazda, I had little to no faith for Mazda. I am blessed to have walked into that dealership and had the opportunity to work with Mahek; his knowledge of cars and persona made the first portion of the process a pleasure. When it came time to talk numbers, Justin went above and beyond to get us to our price range. The time I spent in Open Road felt more like I was at a friend's home and not at a dealership. While everyone at the dealership is professional, the overall tone was welcoming and laid back. I am actually looking forward to getting my car serviced to see everyone again and did I mention that I absolutely LOVE my car and the 40 miles to the gallon gas situation?! THANK YOU MAHEK AND JUSTIN!!! :-)

Words can not begin to describe the amazing experience I had on 5/9/15. I had the pleasure of working with Mahek who carried himself with the utmost respect and professionalism and is one of the sole reasons that I am sitting in a brand new 2016 CX5. His friendly demeanor really helped keep my at ease, and not once, did I feel at all nervous. His knowledge on all of the cars was unparalleled. He also wanted to know my story, more about myself, which was very important to me. I was not just a number in his eyes, I was a friend. When it came time to purchase, Justine stepped into the picture as well as Michael, and I now know why the entire open road mazda of morristown takes it to the next level vs all of the other dealerships I have visited, namely Nyack and Flemington. Management is top notch and their sole objective was to make sure I was happy, that I had no questions left unanswered, and if there was anything I needed, they made sure to make it happen. Between Mahek, Justine, and Michael...I was smiling throughout the entire process, felt relaxed, and practically forgot that I was sitting inside a dealership. It felt like a home. If there was one thing that I was disappointed in.......was that I did not visit open road mazda in morristown first!!! For any of you interested in a Mazda, please visit this dealership. I can assure you that Mahek, Justine, and Michael will treat you like royalty.

I purchased a used 2012 dodge challenger in April I live in new York so I received a temporary plate with a expiration date of May 6th I called on may 4 to find my status of the plates and the first question I was asked was is the car your everyday driver like if it wasn't don't worry about it then I get a phone call that the plates are on the way ups well when I got the package no plates just a bill for 60 dollars with a message that I was not charged enough for the car. The things you have to watch for are the best price is not available if you want to pay cash or finance from someplace other than them. I ordered a build sheet from dodge and it has the stock sound system when the car listed premium sound it doesn't GO SOMEPLACE ELSE OR MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK

My wife and I recently had a Mazda2 as a rental car and both liked the way it drove so we decided to check out Mazda 3s. We went to this dealership after having looked at their pre-owned inventory online. Our saleswoman was Nicole and she was great to work with! Very candid and engaging; talking with her was like talking with a close friend. And it wasn't a sales act; it's just who she is. Very accessible. It also helped that we knew what we were looking for and what our options were going in. Nicole took us out on a couple of test drives with certified pre-owned Mazda 3s. The cars ran smoothly and we ended up deciding to put a deposit down. The pre-owned sales manager (Omar) was, unfortunately, not as pleasant to work with as Nicole and definitely had his way of doing things with little room for flexibility and negotiation. He was the kind of salesman that the stereotypes are based on. But we liked the vehicle a lot and it was a very good deal, so we decided to move forward with it. When we returned to pick the vehicle up a few days later, they had done the adjustments we had asked - touch up some of the paint, fix the alignment, etc. The price for the vehicle was well below the value stated on Kelley's Blue Book, but of course, once taxes and fees are thrown in, you end up getting dumped on anyway. Our experience with the finance manager (Jonathan) was also, overall, a positive one. He halved our interest rate and negated some of what the sales manager had originally told us. Whether this is all part of their sales M.O. or a display of poor communication is unknown, but I feel we got a great deal on a great car and working with Nicole made the experience very easy and pleasant! We are happy to have chosen this dealership and are very excited with our car!

From the browsing process thru the sale, financing and delivery it was extremely easy. There was complete transparency and no tactics changed. It was as if I was purchasing this Mazda 6 from family. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone and I will be in for service at the Morristown location when the need arises. This vehicle is everything I thought and was promised to me. He was calm, cool and collected, but most important - I liked him. He was patient with all my ridiculous questions and was knowledgeable about the car he was selling. I was most satisfied after test driving the car. Marty made the transaction smooth; no sneaky sale tactics, and I was off with my new car. Everyone was courteous and professional. Just wanted to mention something quickly. My husband recently wanted me to do his "dirty" work by test driving a 2015 Mazda CX-5. I made the mistake of stopping in 2 highway stores beforehand, and it was the usual "meat market" process. Pressure and rude sales people. Buy now or else!!! I stopped by Open Road Mazda In Morristown also. (I was tired of getting beat up already, but my husband insisted I get pricing.) It was on a Saturday and this place was very busy. I was greeted by the Internet Manager, Phil Diamond, who apologized for the wait. He was jumping back and forth from customer to customer, answering the phones, and putting on license plates. Anyway, he asked me if I could answer any questions before he had to do something else. Although he was very busy, he ran off some pricing over a cup of coffee, and calmed me down from my frustration with his sense of humor. Funny guy. Helpful also! I came back later during the week as he suggested, and was helped out by Phil and a salesperson named Marty. No "meat market" procedures here. Bought a CX-5 Grand Touring and love it! I'm glad I stopped in!

Hello. I must say I hate going to delaeships to buy cars, so I submitted a request for information online first. Within minutes I was bombarded and overwhelmed by sales people calling me. I did receive a polite call from a Phil Diamant, who said he was the internet manager for mOpen Raod Mazda Orf Morristown. I explained I just wanted a quote. Within minutes he sent me a quote, with all fees included as I had requested by the other dealers, who did not do what I specifically requested. Although he called me, like, almost every day, I must say his persistance paid off. I eventually wound up buying a differant model, still a Mazda, but I must say I was impressed by his timely matter and polite way about him. Itmade my time at the dealership shorter and easier to swallow. Kudos Phil!

I just wanted to say I went there on a Saturday doing research on the new Mazda 6 my husband wants me to get. It was a zoo there! Not enough staff for sure. A polite gentleman, his name was Phil the Internet guy, came over and apologized for me waiting for help. In my opinion, he was very helpful and quite kind. He answered all my questions, and frantically searched for a sales rep. After a short wait, he brought over Nicole, a female to my surprise. She was very helpful and friendly also. I must say I did come back during the week as suggested by Mr Phil, and he and Nicole took their time with me, I drank the free coffee, and eventually brought my husband back the following day and bought the car. Although it was a busy little place, I felt good about the entire experience.

Transparency is something that I value when buying a car. I am grateful for dealerships who have adopted this way of doing business. Mazda in Morristown is one of them. I kept my expectations realistic and based them on multiple web site reviews and pricing guides. These guys were right in the middle of the pack as far as pricing was concerned. They werent the lowest, but certainly werent the highest either. What really impressed me, though, was their no-pressure approach to helping me. Maybe I could have spent a few dollars less at a larger dealership in another town, but it was worth it to me to pay to be relatively stress-free. The way I see it, my time and well-being are worth something, too. If you share the same values, this is the place for you.

Of all the dealerships in the area, this is by far my favorite. The location is a little hard to find, but it's well worth looking for. They are right on Ridgedale Avenue in Morristown across from a BMW store. If you're not looking for it, though, you might drive right by. Recently they started putting up a giant inflatable wavy man that helps draw attention to them. The guys there are super helpful and not pushy. Unfortunately, they were my last stop last Saturday. They should've been my first. After getting frustrated at two other dealerships that I know about, I found this one on my navigation. I called before going to spoke with a guy named Phil. He was sympathetic with my frustration and was even able to guess the dealerships I was talking about. He told me that he could help. When I got there, they were very busy but Phil came out from his desk to help me. He introduced me to a sales guy who was very pleasant. I'm sorry that I can't remember his name, but his desk was right inside the main door. I knew exactly what I was looking for and asked if they had one in stock. They did. I asked if they could match the lower of the two prices from the other dealerships. After a little conversation about rebates that I could get, they actually beat the lowest price by about $125. I kept waiting for the "bait and switch" and for their offer to change. But, to my surprise, it didn't. They actually were very straightforward and explained everything to me. There were some fees that seems excessive, but even with those fees they were still $125 below the other dealership, so I didn't really care in the end.Maybe it's best that they were my last ditch effort. I probably wouldn't have appreciated them as much if I didn't have some horrible experiences to compare them to.Hope this helps.

I had some issues with this dealer but spoke to the General Manager, Paul Seetoo this morning and we were able to resolve most of it to my satisfaction. I will be meeting with him next week to discuss any remaining issues. It's not the problem that makes a dealership good or bad but how they respond to problems. There was some miscommunication on both sides and I feel comfortable recommending this dealer because my salesperson was great and I got a fair price on the vehicle.

I went to buy Mazda 3 from them and the manager was very rude from the get go. Had a good test drive experience so asked them to quote me a price from my trade-in and new car. They offered me $1k than lower price for the new car and $4k lower for the trade-in. When I mentioned that trade-in value is not what I am expecting he said then I should just walk away. I usually don't write reviews because I frequently regret it after my opinion changes after several months. Usually promises aren't kept and dealerships take their money and run. I am so impressed by my experience at this Morristown dealership that I felt compelled to write this. I bought my CX5 from them back in May. We loved Paul and his whole team. Everyone was friendly and willing to help. Tony, in service, was especially helpful and made us feel very easy about our purchase. But, you would expect that from a dealership that just sold a $30K car. A few days after buying the car, I received a hand written thank-you note from Paul. I really wasn't expecting that. I emailed him to tell him how pleased I was and he emailed me back within a few minutes. I really liked that. Just last week, I brought my car in for its first service. As promised, it was a free. I kept waiting for the "hidden charges" which never came. Tony remembered me and Paul came up to ask how I was enjoying the car. The three of us sat in the waiting area and chatted for about 15 minutes. In about 40 minutes, the car was ready. I'm glad that I have a place to go for car repairs with people that I like and trust.

Long story short, I will always buy my used cars from this guy. My family trusts him with our cars and he has never let us down. Three cars from him in the last six years should say it all. The will nickle and dime you as well and kill you on the hidden fees and bogus charges. The charge for a detailing which they didn't do at all! My daughter and i stopped in last weekend to look at a Mazda 3 for her. Although the dealership was pretty busy, we were met at the door by a manager. He held the door for us and apologized for how hectic things may have seemed, but assured us that a sales person would be with us within a few minutes. Paul walked us to a waiting area and shared a bottle of water with us while we waited. Within 10 minutes or so, a sales person became free and came over to join us. It was all very casual and personalized. It was nice to get that kind of attention on a busy day. We test drove a Mazda 3 Grand Touring with Marty. He let us take it out for about 20 minutes to really get a good feel for it. We were both surprised at how many techie gadgets it had. Marty was really professional and very sweet. We like that car and we liked Marty, too. To fit within our budget, he suggested leasing the car instead of purchasing it outright. We had never leased before, so he took the time to explain the pros and cons of leasing. Weighing both, we decided leasing would be better for her. Within a few hours, she was driving away in a brand new, red, Mazda 3. The comfort and ease of the whole process was great and the look on her face as she drove away was priceless. Thanks Paul and Marty for helping us!!

They changed the price from what they told me on the phone to what they offered me once I arrived. Once I bought the car they told me they needed to swap the custom wheels for standard wheels since I bought the showroom car. They said they will keep the tech on site to make the swap. Once the purchase was completed, they said the tech left and I could not take the car I just purchased because they can't take their wheels off. They tried SCAMMING from the time I walked through the door. To top it off, they charged me $400 to handle the DMV stuff and get my plates sent to me. Instead they sent them to the dealershipp and said I needed to pay $25 to ship them to me. Everyone knows USPS can ship these for less than $5. Customer service is also TERRIBLE.

After visiting two other dealers without being impressed, I agreed to see Marty after my son went for a test drive of the 2014 CX-5 earlier in the day. Marty was knowledgeable and pleasant without being the least pushy--I really hate dealing with car salesmen but he was the exception. I was sold on the car -- and the manufacturer rebate certainly sealed the deal. While waiting for the paperwork to be drawn up, I was greeted by two more salesmen who, along with Marty, explained the rebate programs were not working on this car--and, since the technical difficulty was not my fault, were going to lease me the 2015 AW drive model at the exact same price since it wasn't my fault! Who does that anymore? So instead of the FW 2014, I left the dealer with the 2015 AW. I am so pleased to have found a dealer I can feel comfortable returning to - the two other dealers seemed bored and uninterested (is business really that good?).

Small, friendly, personalized attention. Although they were very busy on the day that I stopped by the dealership, they made me feel at home. Bryan brought me a bottle of water and introduced me to his managers while I waited to take a test drive. There was a good energy from all of the staff. It was busy, but controlled and I felt at ease being allowed to shop at my own pace. After about 15 minutes of looking around the showroom, Bryan found me again and we went on a test drive. I had driven a CX5 before, but wanted to drive it again and get a feeling for the salesman's approach. Bryan was great. Informative, but never pushy. He didn't talk too much, which I liked in a strange way. When we got back to the dealership, we sat down to negotiate a price. I brought with me an online quote from Edmunds. He presented it to his manager who quickly agreed. The general manager even stopped by to say hi and offered me some pizza that he had just ordered. Great, great, great car buying experience. My mom was so impressed that she is going next week to trade in her old car for a new Mazda. Be sure to ask for Bryan and some free pizza...LOL.

I've been carpooling with my neighbor for a year now in his CX9. I always liked it more than my Honda, but was never motivated enough to make the change. Well, after being broadsided during last Wednesday's snow storm, I was pretty motivated. I like almost everything about the car and was very familiar with it since I've been riding and driving one for the last year. My neighbor suggested that I go to Morristown to get it. He had a good experience and even got $100 for referring other friends of ours. I figured it was a win-win. I bought my car on a Friday. They were pretty busy, but there seemed to be enough personalized attention to make it feel OK and not rushed. Brian was my salesman. He was young but surprisingly knowledgeable. The whole purchase was pretty effortless. I knew exactly what I wanted and knew how much I wanted to pay for it. The management seemed to be pretty involved with everyone and spent some time with me. I didn't get the feeling that I was just another sale for the day. The general manager even stopped by to thank me for my patronage. I made sure to remind them to send my neighbor his $100 (kidding).

Kudos to Mazda of Morristown for getting it right. Laid back and friendly enough to provide a comfortable environment. Professional enough to know what they're talking about. I went with my husband last week to look at CX5s. After reading a lot of reviews, we thought it was worth a look. We met Mike who took his time explaining the features to us and letting us take a long test drive. He was able to answer all of our questions, and had a lot, which made us feel good about working with him. After the drive, we decided it was right car for our family (we have two teenage children who will be driving in a few years). Mike helped us through all of the paperwork...more than we had remembered from the last time we bought a car, but it had been several years. Jonathan, the business manager, was quick and to the point. Both being in retail, my husband and I appreciated the way we were treated. They made it kinda fun. We will definitely be back in a few years when our lease is up.

Although this is a review of the Mazda dealership, it is also a testament to the entire Open Road group. My family and I have been buying cars from Open Road for more than 10 years. We started with the Honda dealership in Edison, buying our first Accord. We had such a great experience, that we tried the Mercedes dealership next. Another great experience. Now, our youngest daughter is old enough to pick her own car. She chose a Mazda 3. It was a no brainer to head back to Open Road. We weren't disappointed. I really like the personal feel we get when we're there. I never feel like I'm "just another sale" and never feel like I'm rushed or pressured. After 10 years, I can honestly say that I will only buy cars from them. I never hear much about them on the radio or in the news paper. It's like my family's own little secret. Maybe that's their way of keeping things small and personal. It works.

I was going to wait until my current lease was over before upgrading to a 2014 model, but I got a phone call from the dealership offering to get me out of my lease early. Additionally, they said they would donate money toward a local charity if I switched before the end of the year. As a fundraiser in the area myself, I was glad to help. I managed to trade in my old car, get a newer model, keep my payment the same and help St Judes Children's Hospital. They even made the donation in my name right from the dealership. You would think that Black Friday would be a terrible time to buy a car. I went prepared for big, obnoxious, crowds and pushy sales people. I brought my husband for moral support (who was less than thrilled) and lots of snacks (I get cranky when I don't eat). We arrived around 9:30 after stopping at some other local shops. I was happy to find that there was no big crowd and everyone working there seemed pleasant enough. My husband and I had done our homework online and knew exactly what we wanted and what we wanted to pay for it. The internet makes this so easy if you know what sites to use. A word or advise: price your car before going to the dealership using three or four different web sites. All of the prices should be very close to each other. If one is WAY OFF, you know something is up. I used to work in retail marketing and know that everyone's profit margins are about the same. If a deal seems too good to be true, believe me it is. Don't bother trying to convince the sales staff that you can get an unreasonable price...you'll just end up frustrating both of you (I'm speaking from experience from both sides). Anyway, we took the average price from three websites and headed out to buy our CX9. We were greeted at the door by Marty who was very pleasant. We let him know that we did our homework and what we were looking for. He was good about moving along at a comfortable pace. We didn't feel rushed, but it certainly didn't drag along either. We test drove a CX9 Grand Touring model (the one we researched) even though we had already made the 90% decision to buy it. We weren't disappointed by the drive. It matched all of the reviews that we had read. It was sporty, but really comfortable. It handled really well and didn't feel "mushy" like our previous SUV. And, we really appreciated all of the standard features. We liked that we didn't have to pay extra for the backup camera, side monitors, bluetooth, and too much other stuff to mention. We took advantage of the available rebates and financed the car for 60 months (no penalty for paying it off early!). I don't have anything negative to say about the car or the dealership. Everything went smoothly, probably because we had done so much research and had reasonable expectations. I never needed my copious snacks and we weren't there long enough for my husband to get impatient. A win-win situation for everyone.

Since I've had such great experiences here, I've been sending my friends and neighbors to look at cars here, too. Some just go to check it out, and others actually end up buying cars from them. They can't thank me enough for the recommendation. When I was in to pick up my plates last month, I jokingly said that I should get some kind of referral fee for all of the people I've been sending their way. Well, to my surprise, I actually got a check in the mail today! With the check was a very nice card from the general manager, Paul, who thanked me for sending him business. The check was for $100. If I keep this up, I might just be able to pay for my holiday shoppingLOL. I have never had such a good relationship with my car dealership before. I love my Mazda6, but I think I love the dealership as much.

My wife and I came for a particular car. We weren't shopping for any new car. We wanted to trade in our 2005 MX-5, for a new 2014 model. It had to be red. In the entire country, there were only a few available. Within 3 days of our visiting the dealership, I received a call from Anthony. Between him and the dealership, Open Road Mazda found the exact car we wanted, had it delivered to the dealership, and that night we were driving home in the car we wanted. The way I see it, they went above and beyond to get us exactly what we wanted, and we didn't get ripped off. When my wife is ready for a new MX-5, Open Road Mazda will be our first, and probably only stop. I hope Anthony is still there when that time comes.

I bought this car brand new and traded my Honda Odyssey for it. I was tired of the mommy mini van look and was ready to do something nice for myself. The CX5 is considerably smaller than the Odyssey, as far as storage, but Im not lugging around strollers and car seats any more. I like that its MUCH better on gas and more fun to drive. I appreciate that sunroof and the keyless start. I feel like driving more, now. I make excuses to take it on long trips and get lots of questions and compliments about it. Im getting a bit spoiled with the back-up camera and blind spot alertbut who cares, I deserve it. My husband likes driving it, too. He used to make fun of the mini van, but now takes my car whenever he can. I cant say enough positive things about Anthony, our salesman. He was very pleasant and made us feel very comfortable. We went on a test drive together and he was helpful answering all of our questions. The only downside, I guess, is that he had to keep asking his manager for pricing details. This is a game that I really dislike about buying a car, but it seems to be the same way where ever you go. I wont criticize him for it, though, its not his fault. It didnt take us long to agree upon a fair price for the Odyssey and for my new CX5. I left them a deposit and agreed to pick up the car the following day after they installed a roof rack. Again, Anthony was very accommodating. When I came back the next day, the car was parked in the front of the dealership. There was a handwritten sign in the windshield welcoming me. Nice touch! The guy that does all of the paperwork was pleasant enough. Everything went smoothly, which I was glad for because my husband didnt come back with me. I would say that I was in and out in about an hour, and that included the time that Anthony took to explain all of the new features.

First let me say, that I wasn't going to write a review. I actually bough my car a few weeks ago, and didn't think it was anything special. I felt like it was just a normal buying experience. Everyone was nice, and everyone was friendly, but it didn't move me enough to write a review. Today, however, it was a different story. I brought my car in for its free oil change. I was met by the servie manager, Tony, who is very nice and personable. While my oil was being changed, I asked if someone could help me update the maps in my navigation system. They introduced me to the general manager, Paul, who was very helpful. At Paul's suggestion, I took the Sims card out of the car and tried to download the maps myself using my Mac laptop. I couldn't get it to work. Paul was very patient and spent over an hour with me trying to the maps updated. We both had a lot of problems using my laptop. when all was said and done, the maps were updated and we reinstalled the Sims card into my car. I'm so grateful that Paul was able to help. If it weren't for him, it would never have gotten done. I would have given up. He was extrememly gracious and willing to help for as long as it took. It's that kind of service that I really appriciate, and prompted me to write the review. I will definately bring my car back to the open road team.

Surprisingly quick and easy. I shopped a competitor Mazda dealership a few days ago which was larger and didnt have a very good experience, plus they didnt have the car I wanted in stock. I always liked the look of the Morristown dealership from the outside and decided to give them a try. They are a smaller store tucked away on Ridgedale Ave on the out skirts of Morristown. If you blink, youll miss them. I stopped in first thing in the morning, before any of the sales people were there. I looked around the lot and found the car I was looking for. Actually, I found two cars that I think my wife would like. I met Phil who was one of the managers and was really helpful. He introduced me to Marty who was a salesman. Marty was also very nice and helpful. I explained that I liked two different CX5s, but the final decision was going to be my wifes. Unlike the other dealership, there was no pressure to make a decision right then and there. I liked that. They were very accommodating and understanding. I liked them so much, that instead of waiting for my wife to come to the dealership, I took pics of the cars and sent them to her. She made a decision to get a red Grand Touring CX5. While I was waiting to do the paperwork, I sat in their cafe and watched Good Morning America. They were giving away a red CX5 to a contest winner!! I figured it was a good sign. Everything went quickly and easily. I never had that sinking feeling that I was making a bad decision or that I would have problems with these guys in the future. Everyone seemed very genuine. Not your typical car salesmen. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

After seeing my neighbor's new car with the Open Road Mazda license plate, I asked how she liked the car and the dealership. She said she loved both the CX9 and the dealership. I wondered why she drove so far to get the car. She said she had a bad experience with our local Mazda dealership, but heard good things about this one so she decided to try it for herself. She said she bought the car with very little hassle and at a good price. Sounded good to me. My husband and I drove up after work on Friday. When we arrived just before 7:00, though, the building was dark and looked closed. This was not looking good and we felt a little frustrated after having just made an hour and a half drive. Luckily, we met Phil behind the dealership. He was very gracious and spent a lot of time talking to us about the dealership and the CX9. I know he probably really wanted to get home, but it was nice that he didn't rush our questions. We ended up having a nice dinner in Morristown and talking about the CX9. We drove back the next morning and met with Phil and Clark. Although we had already driven our neighbor's car, we drove another trim level of the CX9. It was hard to choose between the different benefits of each. Clark, like Phil, was patient and really took his time explaining all of the pros and cons of each. We finally chose a Grand Touring with Technology Package. It really fit our needs and we feel it will last us for many years. It was about 2K more than we were planning on spending based on our neighbor's price, but the extra features make it really nice. After deciding on a specific car, Clark had them detail it for us before we took it home. The paperwork was done pretty quickly and the staff was very accomodating. Every fifteen minutes or so, someone checked in with us to make sure everything was going OK. Both my husband and I commented that we liked the friendliness of the dealership and were glad the our neighbor recommended them. It is a bit far from our home, and I'm not sure that we will service our car here, but for the price and the hassle-free transaction, I would deffinately recommend buying a car from them. It's funny, although we live an hour and a half away, I see a lot of their license plates around town. I hope they can continue doing business in such a straight forward friendly way. Word definately gets around and I think it will bring them a lot of business.

I was very pleased to have bought a car from Anthony yesterday. It was terribly busy, I guess everyone else had the same idea to buy a car on the last day of the month ( I will never do that again ). Anyway, despite being busy, Anthony took his time with me and I never felt rushed. After a few hours, I left with my new CX9. Love, love, love this car! The only problem, and I blame myself, is that I was there for three hours. The manager clearly felt bad for my wait. He bought pizza for everyone there which made things a bit better. It felt like a family pizza party. Overall, great experience.

I just wanted to share a great buying experience. My wife and I stopped in a few weeks ago I met with Marty. We told Marty what we were interested in and he said he would keep an eye out. We got a phone call yesterday from Marty, saying that he had just a car for us. I came in this morning with my wife to take a look. The car was a certified preowned Mazda with very low miles. The car looked great, but I wanted to have my own mechanic take a look. Marty and the GM were very accommodating. After getting the approval from my mechanic, I left the deposit for the vehicle so that it wouldn't be sold to someone else. My wife and I will come back tomorrow to complete the paperwork and take our New car home. What an easy experience! I would recommend this dealership to any of my family and friends.

I just bought a used car from them. It was a CX9 that had been in their courtesy car program. It didn't have alot of miles on it and seemed like it was in good condition. My fiance is a mechanic and asked to check it out. He checked it and said it looked pretty much like a new car to him. It's nice having a mechanic in the family to keep everyone honest. It did have a little scratch on the bumper, but I figured I would probably have done that soon anyway. We did all the paperwork today and I will pick it up tomorrow. My only criticism is that the car only had one key. I guess I can have one made with the money that I saved. Over all, good experience. Nice people. GREAT deal. Fantastic car!

For those of you who remember, this used to be a Nissan dealership. I'm so glad they changed a few years ago to mazda. Totally new show room. Very modern. I've been seeing a lot more Mazdas on the road and I like the way they look. I stopped in last week to check them out. Good stuff. Nice people. Friendly atmosphere. Cool cars. I drove the CX5 after being told that they are their biggest seller. Loved it. I wasn't ready to lease one yet, but I'll definitely come back when my current lease is up. Worth stopping by...

I just leased a CX5 from them after stopping by on a whim. Originally, I justed wanted to see the new Mazda 3, but fell in love with the CX5. It's seems more practical with winter coming. I worked with Clark who was wonderful. Friendly, knowledgable, honest. After driving both cars, I like the feeling of the CX5. I like sitting up high and the pick up. I will definitely be back when my son passes his driving test.

My wife and I bought our last CX5 from this dealership. The management and sales people were both friendly and helpful. We did our homework before shopping and knew reasonable prices for the car and expected fees. They were well within our expectations. After a little negotiation, we even got a pretty good deal on installed roof racks. Over all, this was by far the easiest car purchase we ever made. My only other comment was that it took a long time for them to wash the car before we could take it home (more than 30 minutes).

I usually dont like buying cars. This was actually OK. I really liked the store, the car, and my salesman . The only down side was they didnt have the car I wanted in stock. Granted, I was being really picky, but I want what I want. They were able to find the car out of state and agreed to transport it to Morristown within a day or two. Other than that, everything was perfectand even that wasnt really a big deal. I just had to wait two days to get my car. It was worth the wait.

I recently brought my daughter to the dealership to buy her first new car. She wanted a Mazda 3 Touring. I was pleased that they had plenty in stock to choose from. Since a few of her friends already have the same car, she knew the features and had a chance to drive one a few times. Our sales person, Clark, was very helpful without being pushy. We had done some online shopping to get an idea of how much we were willing to pay. Clark and his manager were quickly able to agree to our price. The entire purchase took about three hours from start to finish. The longest wait was getting our new insurance card. I would definitely recommend this dealership to any first time car buyer. They were great.

I walked into the showroom wishing to test drive a Mazda 6 Grand Touring. The manager told me they didn't have one i could test drive but expected me to buy one that would come in in two days. He then proceeded to tell me that he won't bargain and expects to make a few hundred dollars more than what the sticker price is. What a jerk!I went to Prestige Volvo and bought a "Used" (1900 miles) Volvo S60 for less.

If Google sold cars, this is how I would imagine it. The store looks very modern and has an industrial feel. Minimalistic. Fun. Yes, Quirky. The staff is young and energetic. Most seem pretty tech savy. I worked with Paul. We worked out everything almost entirely by email and txt about my car. When all was ready, I just came in to sign the paperwork and then took my car home. It was pretty cool. While waiting for my insurance to fax something over, I even raced him on their PlayStation. I think he let me win, but whatever. I would definately recommend the dealership to family and friends. Easy. Laid back....and a bit quirky. Thanks guys!! -Mike T.

I recently had the opportunity to meet Tony the new service manager. He is very nice and very accommodating. I brought my car in for new brake pads. I have a CX9 with about 79K miles on it. While I was waiting for the brakes to be done, he came and explained that I needed some additional work. He even walked me out to the garage where the mechanic had my car up on a lift. He showed me the needed repair. I like that he took the time to actually show me the problem and didn't expect me to take his word for it. He also explained that I was out of warranty, but he called Mazda and asked for some assistance with the cost. I had the work done at a very good price, I called some local garages for estimates while I waited, and feel good about my experience. Thanks Tony!!

Good Afternoon I picked up my 2014 Mazda CX5 yesterday and just wanted to detail to you the positive experience that I had at OPEN ROAD MAZDA in Morristown. My wife and I had done a lot of investigation and had a very good idea what we wanted. When we stopped by last Saturday afternoon we were greated by Christian V. We explained our situation and what we were interested in. Christian was very polite and understanding and was able to match our needs with one of your new Mazdas in a very short time. One of our concerns is that my wife is handicapped and I needed to be able to get her in and out of the car easily. Christian brought the car around right away, explained all the great features and allowed us to take a test drive. I have to say, I really appreciated his responsiveness and attention. After the test drive we spoke briefly about financing and my trade in. I brought the trade back on Tuesday for inspection and evaluation but needed to return to work. Christian was very mindful of my time constraints and did a great job having everything I needed ready to go to pick up my new CX-5 on Wednesday. I explained that I only had an hour, and when all was said and done, I was on the road in 35 minutes. I just wanted to thank you and commend Christian V for a job well done. I will most definitely recommend your dealership to my friends and coworkers. You not only have a superior product but your entire sales staff works well and made my new car purchase very smooth. Thanks again!

I shopped my new Mazda CX 5 entirely by phone and email which is one pro of this dealership. I don't believe in entering a dealership outside of test driving and taking delivery. Some dealers gave me a hard time about not coming in but this one was OK about it. I did my homework ahead of time and knew exactly what I wanted. I was planning on buying this car from Mazda of Wayne but did not like the vibe I was getting from the sales departments managers. I called four dealers for the best price and this place gave me the best price. I dealt with John Q in sales. It was overall an OK experience with a few bumps. I was told that I needed to put down a depost to hold the car at the quoted price and I needed to do it before the end of the month. Also, even though the car was said to be super popular and my color choice the most popular one, there was only one in my color in the whole place??? True or not true, guess I'll never know. I decided to go ahead with it and was also told that the deposit would allow me to pick up the car whenever I wanted while still holding the original price. I made sure to get EVERYTHING in writing. Good thing, because two days later, John told me that the price was contigent upon my picking up the car by July 31 and that other people were looking at it so when was I coming in to pick it up. Needless to say, I was not happy so I immediately forwarded him his correspondence stating that once I put the deposit down the price was held and the car was mine, he backed off with an apology. Once financing went through, I contacted the finance manager for a list of all fees to be sent to me. I haggled over the prep and etch fee which I would not pay. They decided to take the difference off the price of the car after going back and forth. At one point John had the general manager email me a lengthy explanation as to exactly what these fees are (thanks for that, btw. That fall off the parsnip truck was painful). This was just after John told me they would waive the etch and prep fees but not the doc fee which I felt was high at $400. Paul, the gen mgr called it reasonable and lower than many other dealers but that it was probably going up to $500 soon. Ouch! My suggestion would be to get the doc fee up front and negotiate it off the price of the car before going through finance. Once I insisted on a bottom line #, I was ready to take delivery. Came in on a Monday morning about 9:30 am. Though the store was virtually empty, we were not greeted. I called beforehand to make sure John Q was there but was told he had a tire blowout and that his associate Bryan would be taking care of us. The guy at the desk told me Bryan was gassing up the tank and pointed to his desk across the room. Not the best show of service or politeness. Bryan however was a doll, very polite, professional, and friendly. He took care of us and answered all our questions. John Q never showed up though I was told when I called that he would be in shortly? He also never bothered to call later. Maybe he didn't make it in afterall? The general manager Paul also never stopped by to introduce himself even though we were there for well over an hour. Maybe he wasn't in? Customer service doesn't seem like much of a priority here, the way selling cars fast is. Jonathan in finance was a jerk. No other way to put it. He was apparently miffed to the nth degree about our not purchasing an extended warranty and was very unpleasant to be around. Perhaps his crappy attitude is a ploy to make people uncomfortable enough to just agree to something they don't want. Though I made it crystal clear before ever coming in that I was sticking to my bottom line number, he actually said "if you total your car, it's all on you". It was quite rude and unprofessional but I decided to let it go at the time. His hissy fit is not my problem. Would I buy another car from this dealership? It remains to be seen, I wouldn't rule it out but I would really like to see an overall bettering of customer service and perhaps a new finance manager, one with actual people skills. I would however request Bryan as my sales associate.

We bought a CX-9 Touring w/Tech from this dealership. Our sales person, Christian, was very nice and pretty easy to work with. We had a great price on the car via True Car that they matched after some back and forth. We bought the car while moving from NYC so they held it for us after signing for a few days and then delivered it directly to our house in Berkeley Heights, which was very convenient. The car came via swap on Long Island and got a small chip in the grill while in transit. They are promising to replace it with a new grill but no word yet on that part. Christian was very responsive during the sale and we liked working with him. The car is great too.

I just wanted to share my experience with you. I negotiated the purchase of my new CX5 entirely over the phone with Paul. He was very transparent with his pricing and fees. Although the deal seemed fair based on the research I had done, I wanted to check his price against another dealership. Surprisingly, the other dealership was nearly $3,000 cheaper than Pauls price. I called him back to ask how this was possible and to see if he would match their price. Patiently, he explained that the other dealership was not being honest with me and tried to assure me that his price was legitimate. For $3,000, though, I had to take my business to the other, larger, dealership. Once there, I was met by a very rude salesman, Chris, I think. He barely took any time to help me, but did have enough time to tell me that the price that he quoted me over the phone did not include a $750 destination charge and a $2500 loyalty benefit that I did not qualify for. Suddenly, his price was $3,250 more than expected. I called Paul back and thanked for being so honest with me, and I apologized for not believing him about the other dealership. In the end, I bought my CX5 from Paul and will ALWAYS go back to him for a straightforward and honest purchase. Thanks Paul!!

My wife stopped by the dealership to do some shopping for me (I work nights and sleep during the day). We were looking for a Mazda 3. She drove the car and liked it. Her salesman, Christian, was helpful and did not pressure her at all to make a deal without me (I like that). We returned together a few days later. We were greated at the door by the general manager. He was friendly and walked us back to Christian's desk. I drove the car and was happy with the handling and pickup. Christian offered us a very good deal with very little negotiation (I liked that too). We left a small deposit and made arrangements to pick up the car the following day. When we came back, the car was ready. I asked if they could install a remote start while we waited. They agreed, but it took a very long time. Over all, I had a really good experience. No hastle at all. I've been to other dealerships in the area and have had bad experiences. This was very easy and pleasant (I REALLY like that).

All in all I was very pleased with my experience with Open Road. I was coming from way outside the area. I had found a price online, that was not listed on thier own website. I thought it was a good price and contacted them via e-mail to confirm the price. I spoke with the trade in manager and he similarly was very up front about what he could give me for my trade. When I got to the dealership a few days later I was taken ona nice robust test drive which they even modified for me a bit so I couldspend a little more time on the highway. There was not a lot of negotiation at this point. The price we had discussed was good with me. My trade was in excellent shape and they came up a little from what we had discussed over the phone. Only real sour point was that thye didn't start to prep the car to give to me until all the paperwork was done. It had been a long day and we had a long drive home ahead of us. The detailing they did was great, but if they had started doing that once we had agreed on the sale we would not have had to wait an hour before we could head for home.

I have been to this dealer twice in the past 2 years while vehicle shopping. In both instances they tried to convince me to buy something else, not the thing I came looking for. In one instance I was looking for a used Miata, they had two, but all they tried to do was convince me to take out a loan and buy a new vehicle and did not make any effort to show me what I saw on the lot. They were clearly not interested in what I wanted, and had zero interest in listening to my thoughts and needs. I will never go back there again.

My experience at this dealership was pleasant from beginning to end. Chris was persuasive without being pushy. He made me feel totally comfortable, and really gave the impression that he wanted to earn my business, not just get my money. He was considerate and encouraging, and the end result was a great deal for all involved. I am so very happy with my car (2009 Nissan Versa), and thoroughly impressed with the treatment and service that I received. I would highly recommend this dealership, and specifically Chris Pecoraro, to any friends or family looking to purchase a car. Thanks again Chris, you are the best!!!! :)- Hannah Parsons

I had no idea this dealer existed until I started looking for somewhere else to go to besides Wayne (horrible). This service department is terrific. The staff is so friendly and they explain everything in a way that makes it easy to understand. They did not try to rip me off. They told me things I need to fix now and what could wait a while. Refreshing change from other service stations. Jack was excellent. He gave me a free courtesy car and took care of all the hassle with my extended warranty. Sita was a sweet heart. She helped me install baby seats for my little ones. What a kind group of people. So easy to work with, so professional.

I had been looking for a SUV for the last few months before settling on the Mazda CX5. I first went to a large Mazda dealership to check it out. I thought they would be my best bet for price and service. Well I was totally wrong. I was blatantly lied to numerous times by them. They were so unprofessional and treated me so poorly, I decided to go to another dealer. "I thank God I did". At Open Road, my salesperson Matthew Siswandi greeted us in a very professional manner and did not treat my husband and I like we were the "new kids" on the block. He treated us with respect and was upfront and honest. He stated he did not have the car I wanted but would within a few days. Well he made good on his promise (something the other dealer would not have done). Matthew did not try to sell us more than we wanted in a car and I respect that. There was no game playing. Although when the car came in there were no car mats, I was promised they would be in in a few days. Well they did come in within two days of purchasing the car. In fact Matthew gave me the cargo tray for this minor inconvenience. NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL SERVICE! He also put all the mats in the car for me. Thanks Matthew! We actually spoke to the General Manager when we were there (forgot his name) and he was also very professional and very low-key. These are the kind of people I want to deal with especially when making a big purchase. I expect to have a good relationship with Open-Road Mazda while owning my car. Thanks!

A wonderful experience. Everyone I came in contact with was kind, courteous, and attentive to my needs. I came in with a goal in mind and Matthew and Isaac did everything they could to accommodate my needs. I could not be happier with the entire process. Not once did I get the 'shady car salesmen' feeling. You can tell that they really care about doing everything possible to make the process as easy as possible. I even forgot a few items in my trade-in and Matthew was quick to contact me so that I could some pick them up. I highly recommend this dealership.

We had a very pleasant experience with Chris and Open Road Mazda of Morristown! Never thought we would walk away from Honda but we did! We traded our Honda Odyssey for a Mazda CX- 9. We wanted a crossover style (not a truck) that would seat 7 passengers. Honda has no vehicle like it. We thought the Honda Pilot was too boxey and too much like a truck. So it was the Mazda CX-9... great CAR, great service and great price!! We highly recommend this dealership....and...ask for Chris....

I recently saw a 2010 used car on there website. When I called in I was put on the phone with Mike and he was very helpfull and truthfully about the car. When I came into the dealership I was greeted by Rich in sales, I told him I did not want to be rushed or pushed into buying today. After he pulled the car around I the realized that the car was like a brand new one that Mike was telling me about on the phone. After the test drive we came back into the dealership to be greeted by Mike, He said I told you the car was like brand New, I told him my son was going to love it. The process was so easy it was like I was a family member! Thanks again Rich, Mike and John you will see me again for my other sons car in a year.

So after shopping for a new vehicle for 3 months I finally found a dealer that was more then ready to service my needs. The facility was state of the art, and the amount of attention that I received was unreal. I was greeted with complete confidence by my sales person Chris. He offered me some refreshments and then continued to escort me to their new car lot. It's the first time in my many years of car buying that a sales person didn't try to sell me a car, BUT tried to help me buy one. The entire process was smooth, and met with the sales manager (Isaac). He was very professional and motervated to make my entire experiance a great one. The finance manager ( jonathen ) was informative and fair. I got a great deal and have referred all my friends and family to them. It's strange that I grew up in Wayne, nj and was not treated well at the Mazda in the Wayne location. They should be called Wayne " bait & switch " Mazda. Thank you open road, I'll be seeing you for all my service needs. Rachel

My son is in the army stationed overseas. I start his RX-8 every now and again, but since the cold weather, I have found the vehicle getting hard to start. I bought this battery at another Mazda dealer earlier this year, and when I spoke to Sita on the phone, she told me to bring the receipt incase the battery was bad and they needed to give me another one. When I got there, I spoke with their warranty department about the procedure to get a new battery. He told me they would have to test it, and if it is bad, they would give me a new one. He looked at the receipt and told me there would be no co pay if it was bad, since the battery was purchased in April. He went into their shop and got the tester, and the result said it needed to be charged. During this time I spoke to the parts counter person and he said if a new one was needed, he had one in stock, and to speak to their service manager, Sita. She told me they could charge the battery for me and retest it, but it would take a few hours to do since the battery was cold and would need time to warm up otherwise it might leak. They also advised me to keep a trickle charger hooked up to it in the garage so it would not go dead from just sitting. I told her I have a charger at home and would charge it up, and if it didn't start the car, I would bring it back to test again. I brought the battery home and charged it for 2 hours and the car started right up! From now on, I am going to bring my car there for service, since everyone is friendly and knowledgeable.

I purchased a 'pre-owned' vehicle from Open Road, while I was actually there with my sister who was also looking for a car. The price of the car in my price range and it had all of the options I wanted. When I was first there, the customer service was phenomenal, especially for a Saturday. I was impressed with the dealership so I purchased a car from them. I picked up the car on Halloween, although I wanted to wait for after the storm that was expected in NJ. As a courtesy to the salesmen (whom I wanted to get the commission in October), I went in the storm to pick up a new car. When I picked up the car I was immediately sent to the finance manager who sold me the extended warranty with the promise that he would order me a second key for the car. It was the first time I purchased a car and was only given one key (that should have been a clue). After working with this gentleman for about 45 minutes and having the promise of a second key for buying the warranty. They pulled my car around. In the snow storm I was given the key from the warmth of the showroom and told that my car was out front. When test driving the car I asked a lot of questions about different features, especially the AWD feature, and the salesman told me that they would go through everything in detail when I picked the car up. On this snowy day, none of the sales people wanted to leave the showroom to show me the features of the car. When I said that they were supposed to show me, they brushed me off by saying that they already showed me during the test drive. I got the car home after sliding about 6 times in an AWD car in a snowstorm, I had, and still have, no idea about how the AWD works. The issues I have with a car that I picked up about 6 weeks ago are:1. OK, back to the Key. When I picked up the car they said that I would have to make an appointment to have the new key cut for the car. About a week later I made the appointment to have the key made and showed up at the scheduled time. I waited for about 20 minutes before my name was even called. When they finally took my car to look at it, they spent about 1 1/2 with the car and came back and said that there was something wrong with Mazda's computer system and they couldn't program the key. After I complained that I had been there for a long time and they should have told me they couldn't do what they promised, I took the key they had cut (they key they gave me was a valet key, not the one with the alarm I thought they would give me)and started to leave. As I was walking out the door, the receptionist told me NOT to put the 'new' key in the ignition, otherwise the car wouldn't start at all. I called to complain about the key incident and was told that they didn't promise me an alarm key but a 'key' and that's what they gave me. Then the manager offered to have someone from the dealership pick my car up at my office and program the key and then return the car instead of giving me a loaner car as I asked. Since I don't have 2 hours in my day to wait for Open Road to actually provide the service they promised, I still do not have a second key for my car.2. The next issue with the car is the tire. The day after I picked the car up the indicator light on the dashboard that shows there is low tire pressure came on. I immediately put air in the tires and the light went off. The next day the light was back on. When I went to the dealership about the key issue, I had them look at the tires to see why the light was on. They looked at the tires and plugged a hole that was in a tire. They should have replaced the tire, but told me that wasn't in the warranty. 3. The other night the car wouldn't start after I got gas. The gas station attendant was able to jump start the car so I could get home. The next day I went to Sears and was told the battery was bad. I purchased a new battery for $130, which is very annoying since I've only had the car for 6 weeks. I thought about utilizing my 'warranty' for the battery, but was told the warranty didn't cover normal maintenance. In a nutshell, I purchase a certified pre-owned vehicle from Open Road Mazda and have had more trouble in the 6 weeks that I've had than I have had in all of the years with any of my other cars.

I have a Mazda cx9 that was making odd noises when making turns. It was an intermittent problem. The service manager went on a road test with me and was able to diagnose the vehicle during the road test. I was told the part would come in on Thursday; I drop the car off on Monday and was given a loaner car at no charge. To my surprise the car was finished, washed and vac'd (looked amazing) today on Wednesday, early! I have never been treated better, I was greeted quickly and spoke to a very profession lady named Melissa and then the service manager (Sita) also joined our discussion of my concern. This was by far the best experience I have had at a Mazda dealer yet!!!!!Never going back to Wayne Mazda or Maxon Mazda again!!

Put their open road license plate holder on without my permission, then when I complained and had them take it off, they damaged the OEM bolts and had to put cheap aftermarket bolts on. They said their paperwork allows them to do this. Devious and unethical. Service manager was no help. From the start this dealership was a nightmare. When I bought the car brand new 2009 CX7 they told me that I could put regular gas in the car, now it's not the case. They showed me one car and gave me another and after I drove off the lot I noticed and the manager didn't really give a hoot and was also very rude (fat bastard). They also told me one interest rate and gave me another, another fault of mine cause I didn't read the contract before signing. Now I have the car almost two years anytime i take it in for something service takes over an hour for an oil change only!!! My dog ate my keys and they want to charge me 460 for a new set. The sensor light is out and since I have a lot of miles on the car it is out of warrenty, it is gonna cost me 250.Mazada needs to realize they are not porsche and to stop over charging

This was by far the worst car buying experience of my latest purchase attempt. I had asked to make an appointment to drive a specific model. I was told that this was not a problem, but when I arrived at the dealership, no one was aware of my appointment and was greeted with someone shouting acorss the dealership "is anyone free". I was shuffled off to a salesman (don't remember his name), so eventually (after about 1/2 hour) brought a car around for me to test drive. He spent most of the time trying to sell me on options that I did not want. I asked about getting a price, and was then introduced to the sales manager, who did not give me price, but asked "What can I do to put you in a car today?" I replied that he should never ask that again. He became rude at that point. I asked again for a price and gave them my contact information. I never heard from them even after contacting them again for the price. I guess that they weren't interested in selling a car to me.

Purchased/financed used 07 Honda Ridgeline 3/12/11 only to get home and find that truck had wheel locks and tonneau cover lock but no keys to either one. Open road was to also mail new plates and registration to me as I live in NYC. Spoke with salesman (who like any other saleperson maybe your best friend for the moment)jst send the reciepts from Honda for the replacement wheel and tonneau cover locks and we'll see if we can re-inburse. Still waiting for a response but not holding my breath. Got my registration and plates after a whole big thing with them(they had new plates for a week before I contacted them and threatened to bring truck back and leave it in their lot). Sales mgr. waste of time. Much thanks to the receptionist for your help. Will never recomend anyone to this dealer.

I was leery of this dealership given the poor reviews, but I just had a terrific experience with the purchase of a new Mazda 6. Doug was my salesman and he was exactly what you would wish for, being very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a trade in and quoted a national offer on the car I was buying. They gave me a fair offer right away and I was so impressed I didn't even negotiate. I was driving my new car home less than three hours after I walked in the door and there was no fuss or muss. Even the business manager was quick and didn't pressure me with extras.

Worst experience/purchase of my life! Don't buy from here. I bought a used car from them ... the day i picked up the car the check engine light came on. I brought it back they said they would fix it. Got it back a week later ... the night after i pick it up again the check engine light came on again. Then the next morning it went off ... so i thought maybe its because i just got gas and maybe some air got in the tank n triggered the check engine light to come on by mistake ... the following day it came on again and on my way home from work that night it broke down. I called the next morning ... spoke with the service guy who i just got the car back from 4 days earlier, i told him what happened and he asked me if i purchased the "extended warranty" ... don't trust this dealership

Went in to buy out my lease. Financial office wrote up the cost so I could give it to my bank for the financing end.I asked that this was the TOTAL amount I needed to come back with to finish the purchase. And was told Yes! Note: (Mazda credit MAKES you go through a dealer to purchase a lease.)I had all the documents that was required, banking, insurance etc. taken care of before going back to dealer. Surprise, Surprise I was then told at the Dealer that he forgot the "Dealership" wanted $500 for their fee! Asked for what, since documentation and registration fees were included($576). And was told that's what they charge no reason given. How can the man in charge of the "money end of things" not know this when writing up the contact?? And they wonder why people have bad feeling when dealing with car dealers....

Worse experience ever! They have sold us a BRAND NEW car that was refurbished. The morning after the actual buy we noticed that the front bumper is not the manufactured one. They have done nothing to accomodate this situation, after much yelling a new car "suddenly" appeared on the lot. To get our money back was not an option. They have "forgot" to give us the power of attorney page to sign, mu assumption is that it will be our fault and we will have to run to the DMV to try to get this done. Everytime we call to speak to someone they are either: in a meeting, on the other line, with a customer, or suddenly they are gone for the day.We get the run-around and its just worseless. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Do not go there for your own time sake.
