I have been going to Paul’s Motors for over 10 years! Thank goodness I found them! No corporate BS. They have the best Mechanics (especially Eric) and the owners Paul and Diane are wonderful people. Good prices and great service! My car is out of warranty and they have kept it in tip top shape! Cool small local businesses vibe!!

Took my volvo here for routine maintenance, big mistake. Please BEWARE before taking your car here. Their mechanics made a lot of mistakes and did a very sloppy job on the work, in addition to upselling you and will tell you your car needs repairs it doesn't so that their business can make more money. Took weeks to get in touch with the owner Paul Junior about the issues I was having with my car. When I finally got a chance to speak with him, he was extremely rude, unprofessional, and deceitful. Blaming me and gaslighting me for the new issues my car had and wasn't even willing to work with me on the issue. They just denied, denied, denied. I learned my lesson and and was left with a bad taste in my mouth after dealing with this place it took me a while to even write this review. Please think twice before taking your vehicle to Paul's Volvo because if they did this to me, it could easily be done to you.

Very possibly the most professional and thorough dealership I have ever had my car at. The owners are present, friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I highly recommend Paul's Motors sales and service. Paul's Motors is capable of servicing any make or model vehicle👍

I have been to many car dealers and mechanics over my time and this location (both the sales and especially the service department!) are one of the VERY BEST I have seen. They helped me time after time. Have always been honest, professional, and go the extra mile to make your experience great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE DPT!!!

I have purchased and leased two volvos from Pauls Volvo. I cannot imagine a better buying or servicing experience from a car dealer. I buy the cars from Chris Corigan who has sold cars at Paul's for around 20 years. He makes the process from start to end so simple and painless. Whenever I need service everyone from the service advisors to Jimmy the service manager to the mechanics are great. Sure fixing a Volvo out of warranty is expensive but show me any dealer that's not. At least at Pauls you get your car back fixed the first time with a clear explanation of why something had to be fixed. Over the years twice I had warning lights come on, one indicating I had a battery problem. When I called I was told to immediately come by. Within 15 minutes my car was being serviced. I don't know if that's the norm but I highly doubt many other NJ dealers would have done this. Now here is the best part of buying from Pauls....it is Paul SR. Paul recently turned 90 and he still comes to work. He has so much Volvo experience and seems to truly enjoy sharing his knowledge with customers while they are waiting for their cars. He walks around talking to his employees asking how they are, if they have any issues and then chats with his customers. Recently while I was waiting Paul Sr was showing me a presentation of a new model, S90 I believe, that will soon be available. You have to love this man a true car enthusiast. By the way both his adult kids also work here. They are also very accessible and are very environmentally concerned. What can I say, this is a wonderful family business. How else do I know this? I see the same people working here year after year.

I was taken care-of but not sold too! at Paul's Volvo. Alon Katende was my Salesperson.If you need to lease or buy a Volvo you should visit Paul's Volvo in Hawthorne NJ and ask to speak to Alon Katende. There are a few good salespeople that you can trust when it comes to buying a car, Alon won my trust! I felt that he was not selling me a Volvo but rather taking care-of of me. He basically explained to me what leasing and financing means in simple terms to meet my needs.When my car was having issues,my Insurance agent in Ridgewood suggested to visit Paul's Volvo with a long history of serving our local area. My vehicle had transmission issues that I was not going to sink more money in repairs. As a woman with health issues, this was not the time to try hassling with car dealers/salespersons but visiting Paul's Volvo and meeting this fine gentleman made a difference.He went out of his way to pick up my junk car from my mechanic to the dealership in Hawthorne NJ. As we drove back it got disabled again, but after a few minutes Alon was able to get it started and driven to Hawthorne, his broad technical knowledge in fixing cars and selling them is just amazing! He will navigate both technical and sales questions. All I can say is that my experience with buying a Volvo from Alon Katende satisfied my conviction that a few Salespersons do exist and Alon is one of them, give him a call. Happy Customer! Natalia.

Just leased new S60. Shopped multiple dealers in NJ and NY. The customer service I received from this dealership far surpassed any other dealer. Alon Katende took a lot of time to work with me on deal. I was hesitant to lease car as it does not come with a spare tire. Volvo does offer accessory spare tire but without seeing how it looks in car I was skeptical . Alon said no problem and ordered one and had installed in a car for me and my wife to see. No other dealer was willing to do this. In the end I paid a little more than another dealer offered me, but felt the service I received from Alon more than made up for this. Small family dealership that applied no pressure or games in working with me. Highly recommend Paul's

My wife dropped her less than a year old car for minor things including her low tire pressure light was on. It turned out she was driving with a nail on the bottom of her tire. The mechanic told her it was not repairable and sold her a Continental tire for $220.00. I asked for the tire and had it plugged by my mechanic for $10.00 and he said actions like this give us a bad name. Also I learned that most repairs on Volvos can only be serviced by Volvo because of computer codes only accessible to them. I'm selling before the warranty expires.

Chris Corigan was great to deal with. He made me forget I was at a car dealership. My car arrived exactly when they told me, no hidden costs, no surprises... I could not ask for anything more. For being a small dealership price was great and the service AWESOME. Just wanted to say thanks and anyone looking for a Volvo and don't want to put up with the BS and fake salesman go to Paul's and see Chris!

Best new car buying experience I've ever had -- and that includes my '64 Beetle, my'69 Volvo, my '74 Mercedes, a Cadillac, several Hondas, a Lexus, two Infinities, andthe Acura I traded in. From the moment Chris Corrigan showed me the Volvo S60 T6 he was honest, respectful and responsive. The initial price he quoted was less than my research had led me to hope for. He provided candid advice on the options I should avoid as well as those that I needed. I had to spend only ten minutes on paperwork, and he was happy to spend two hours explaining the technology. Thanks, Chris. I hopeto see you again in five or six years.

Our family has been very pleased with the high quality of the two Volvos we have purchased at Paul's Motors and with the excellence of its sales and service staff. We found this Volvo dealership and service center to be outstanding in its integrity, honesty, and technical expertise. Our last purchase was a Volvo station wagon; its superb handling and braking and large capacity made it great for safely ferrying friends, family and supplies. It has been a privilege to deal with the remarkable executives of the company: Diane and Paul Jr. and their father Paul Sr. In my experience they were always cordial, conscientious, and astute. We were always treated exceptionally well at Paul's Motors and would recommend it highly to all who seek an excellent deal on a fine car.

Myself and my family have been buying and servicing all our cars at Pauls Volvo for many years and have been THRILLED with the level of customer service and integrity. After each of my purchases I have felt like I got the best possible deal available on the make or model of my choice and when it came time to do any repairs I was given a thorough explanation of the issue my Volvo had and than a complete breakdown of what and how the service department was going to resolve the problem. They gave me a breakdown of my service bills which explained all the cost for parts and labor. I trust them completely with my car and my kids cars as well! I can't say enough good things about them.

We have owned three Volvo's. The first was bought in New York but soon became the responsibility of Paul's for the convenience of dealing with a local dealership. We have received the finest care and service for our cars over many years and highly recommend them over other Volvo dealerships. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the courtesy from all the staff is top notch. Negotiations for new purchases are clear and detailed and not high pressure. When you meet with a salesperson, that is the only person you deal with; you don't get turned over to a manager who tries to high pressure you with options.Pricing is clear with no games.A special service at Paul's is occasional workshops for men and women pertaining to maintenance issues. They want you to understand what is going on under the hood of your Volvo. Can you beat that?

We have been dealing with Paul's Motors since 1976. We have always been treated with respect and the greatest care. Every problem has been dealt with satisfactorily and we have recommended them to many of our friends who are now Volvo owners. After all these years I feel like I am part of the Paul's family. We bought a car from Paul's a year and a half ago. Since then we have had nothing but problems...sensors, radiator cracked/replaced, transmission, now all of our struts, etc. (which I got the car checked (this last time) at a non-Volvo dealer they told me that a car w/ the mileage it has should NOT have contaminated struts like this. The carfax report showed that nothing had ever happened to the car. I find this VERY HARD TO BELIEVE. I have two young children and I'm scared to drive around in this car (that is now broken again). We have spent a GREAT DEAL of money on this vehicle (thousands into it), including renting cars while it was in the shop only to be treated horrendously by Paul Jr. He was rude and didn't want/try to help in any way. We were told that it wasn't their problem anymore (when the warranty ran out). Unreal. Now we're up near spending $30,000 on a car that is basically a piece of junk since the begining. We are contacting a lawyer to see if someone can help us. We can't afford to throw $30,000 away. It's very very sad that not only was this vehicle completely unreliable and broke atleast every 2 months but the way we were treated by Paul's was salt in the wound.NEVER GO THERE! UNRELIABLE, FRAUDS!!!

I have bought 5 Volvos from paul, my son bought as70wagon has had nothing but problems with the car! paul Jr. seems to have taken the business over and has offered no help with these problems!! It seems once you leave the lot and they have there money you are no longer a concern to them. he brought the car to another dealer and they got the problem straightened out through Volvo!!! my suggestion would be if you want to buy a volvo stay away from Pauls

In July 2011, my 2001 S40 was acting up and overheating several time with the thermometer inside saying the temperature was 120 degrees. Meanwhile the car was hesitating to the point that I thought it would shut off. I took it to the dealer and spoke with an office guy (I forgot his name) and told him that my car was near overheating. He stated that I had to be wrong that it couldn't have run that hot and that I had to be clearer when using the term overheating. I showed him the photo I had taken of the internal thermometer clearly showing a temperature of 120 degrees. The car stayed overnight, the problem could not be reproduced and the car was returned to me.This was not the first time I had brought it in for the same issue. One time I was told it was the lower radiator hose, another time it was the internal thermometer, another time it was the external thermometer--but each time, the problem remained unresolved. The last straw was when Jimmy told my husband that since it was July and extra hot outside, I should wait and drive it until after September when it's cooler outside. Oh sure, and I'll drive my Bentley in the meantime? In the end, after spending hundreds of dollars and getting no resolution, I traded the car in for a Honda. That solved the problem.

Just a total pleasure buying my 2011 S60. Everyone in sales and service is a pleasure to talk to. How many dealers can you get a technician on a phone who worked on your car explain what was wrong and how it was fixed? I only know one in 40 years of buying cars. If you are planning to purchase a car sit down with Chris Corrigan who has been selling cars at Paul's for over 15 years. When I picked up my new car the entire "paperwork" process took about 10 minutes. No finance manager and no surprises to deal with.

I own a 2001 Volvo S40 that was purchased from Englewood Volvo, a dealership I recommend that any auto buyer avoid like the plague! Each time I took my car in for service there, I felt taken and ripped off! Then, to add to the pain, something was almost always stolen from my car: a gift left in the backseat, change from the coin box and items from the glovebox! I began bringing my car to Paul's in 2004 when I moved to the area. Their friendly, family-oriented atmosphere was a breath of fresh air! The customer service is premium, the prices fair and the staff friendly, helpful and attentive. I feel as if I receive quality service for my money as they have made my car continue to run well even after 130K miles. I plan to drive my S40 until it stops running, and then I'll buy my next Volvo from Paul's. I highly recommend this dealership for its staff, the service, the fair pricing, and the overall pleasant experience I receive each and every visit.

I traded in my toyota rav 4 last week for a new volvo c30. The experience at this dealer was great from start to finish. No hassling at all. I went there on a Monday and test drove the car. I thought about over the week and called back on Friday. They quoted me the pricing over the phone for both my trade in and new car and it was less that what I was willing to pay so I jumped and said I will take it. When I arrived the next day the price on the paperwork was exactly what I was quoted over the phone. The salesman Alon was fantastic. He was smart, polite, and very matter of fact. I love my new car so much and feel confident in this decision. I buy a new car every 3 years and this was the first dealer that I can rave good things about. I would highly recommend going there. I had stopped at both Englewood Volvo and Smyth Volvo in Summitt and my opinion of them is not good at all and I would not recommend either dealer. This volvo in hawthorne is also extremly easy to find once you get off of the exit.
