The only negative that I have is that I didn't receive a phone call when my license plates came in. I called the dealership and had to wait for a confirmation text because some research had to be done concerning the location of my plates. Other than that I really enjoyed the experience.

I bought a car a year ago from Payless and they have great customer care and service. I really like how they took the time to help me find a vehicle that I had in mind, instead of trying to sell me something I could really live without. The staff there are a great to work with and they take the time to show customers that they matter. The reason I am writing this post a year later is because I ended up selling my vehicle a year later. I cancelled my GAP insurance as well as my extended warranty and they took the time to help me with the process of getting my refund. They are a small dealership but they are definently at the top when it comes to quality of service.

I had a friend of mine refer me to Solat, one of the salesmen at Payless for he too purchased himself a vehicle from this location. Knowing I was in the market for a newly-used vehicle, he referred me and the customer service in which was provided was superb! He was not only familiar with the vehicle itself, but helped me search for any recalls or anything needed on the vehicle I ended up choosing; 2013 Buick Encore. If you were to head to this location, I would refer Solat, but even then.. all the employees and crew were nothing short of professional, courteous and informative.

Before coming to Payless auto, i had been to MANY other car places. I found that when I went to any auto sales, the sales men/ women were always on you before you even stepped out of your car. The customer service was very friendly and willing to work with me. Jose got straight to the point without sugar coating anything and all truths, as far as I know. The vehicle runs to my expectations and I am glad a could finance through credit union 1's first time buyer program because this is my dream car and i thank you payless. the facility was with in adequate distance and in well condition. i have not experienced any mechanical problems just yet so i cannot review the qualities of the repairs.

I had originally had a mishaps with payless and the way we had left our last interaction had me hesitant. I had issues with my car and i instinctively took it to payless auto garage to have my turbo replaced. The first time i got it back i was very frustrated with the way i got it back. However despite that, Ali took charge of the car and had it fixed properly and swiftly within 72 hours. I was very pleased and as the titled stated "faith restored" in Payless auto sales' conduct of business.

After 23 years of owning the same car it was time to replace it. Problem was I had no clue how to buy a car. I had the usual 'I like this car" only to have it sold before I could sign on the doted line. This happened at too many dealerships in the valley and Anchorage to name. I was ready to give up. Then I saw a Jeep advertised on Payless Auto Sales (nice clean website). I contacted Payless and Russell Siah emailed me immediately with information about the Jeep. I said I would be in the next morning from the valley, and I was told no problem the car would be ready for me to test drive. I was there when they opened and although it wasn't the right Jeep for me, Russell went out of his way to show me other cars that I could test drive. He was very easy going and patient. Not at all a pushy sales person. We were actually test driving the last car he had to show me when I spotted a car at their service center that he said just came in and wasn't even detailed. We drove it anyway and I loved it! I bought that Jeep. Russell made the process of finding a car for me and buying it easy. He walked me through the credit/loan process, helped me understand my options and the paperwork, and made the whole experience pleasant. I will definitely buy my next car from Payless Auto Sales and Russell. Regarding my 2012 Jeep Patriot Latitude - I couldn't be Happier!

I found a car on the lot that I fell in love with. Unfortunately, I had a limited budget and the car was listed originally four thousand over what I could afford. They reduced the price by two thousand but it was still out of my price range. They knew I really wanted the car so Payless bent over backwards to make the sale happen within my price range! Hello! Well obviously the reviews on here speak for themselves... This dealership is the most amazing dealership I have ever purchased a vehicle from. I recently moved up to Alaska and every dealership had poor customer service.. and those that didn't once they found out my budget (under 15k) were extremely quick to rush my wife and I out the door saying they had nothing in our budget.. I test drove the one vehicle I was interested in and worked flawlessly. I have been around cars for a long and even held an ASE certification for a while until I enlisted. This car showed no problems and it was even pre inspected by a Subaru specialist. The buying process was quick I was already pre approved for a loan up to 20k. I definitely recommend getting pre approved before you go car shopping, It'll give you a better advantage when negotiating with any dealership. After about 20 minutes the car loan came back good to go and we finished the last remaining paper work standard for a car purchase. Well two days later a check engine light came, followed by an oil leak caused by a bad head gasket. I thank my wife and the dealership for forcing me into getting the extended warranty. So now I bet you are wondering why I gave them such a high reviews.. well they have been amazing during the whole repair process. They offered me a rental car from them at no cost during the entire process. They have been in constant communication and have just been plain amazing! Next time you purchase a used car, even if it has low mileage and its a reputable company like Subaru.. just spend the extra money and purchase the extended warrant

I actually ended up at Payless Auto Sales by accident, I thought it was another car dealership. Thank goodness I did wind up here, because I met one of the newest members of the team there named Russell, he was so professional, friendly, and really went above and beyond with helping me get into a vechile that not only was afforadble, but safe, and reliable, as well as the features of the vehicle I was looking for. I got to meet his manager Jose, and the store manager, both men were very friendly, and helpful. Hit a Moose totaling our Suburban in Fairbanks Valentines weekend. After two weeks of visiting all the local dealerships with no luck and poor customer service, we found Payless Car Sales. Oscar was our salesman and he told us to jump in and test drive our Expedition EL right when we arrived, no waiting on someone to ride with us. Vehicle was spotless! Please note how the staff here take 20 plus pictures of the vehicle, because they have nothing to hide! Had two small chips on the rear which Oscar said they would fix right away. Vehicle had nice highway tires, not suitable for our winters. Jose the Sales Manager hooked us up with American Tire and we got great Cooper A/T tires at his cost, cheaper than Sams and Costco. When picking up our vehicle we met Ali the owner who actually thanked us for buying the vehicle from him! An Alaska business owner who actually believes in customer service! This was similar to doing business back home in Alabama. Our family will go straight to Payless the next time we purchase another vehicle. Oh yes after visiting twenty plus lots Payless also had the best prices on their vehicles.

My son was born 2 weeks early on march 1st, and I needed a safe family vehicle. I found, via the internet, payless auto sales, and made my first call to start the process of buying a 2004 jeep cherokee. I initially talked to Russell, who, after hearing my current dilema did his utmost to get the ball rolling on financing my vehicle. you cannot have an infant with only a 2 seater truck which was my current vehicle. After giving some initial information, he assured me he would do his best to help me out. he kept his promise. The next day I came to the dealership, and drove my new car off the lot. these guys are military friendly, parent friendly, and just friendly in general. If your looking for a new car in the anchorage area, look no further.

I first heard of payless through their website and loved how detailed it was. I called to say I was on my way to look at a specific car and when I got there they had it already warmed up and ready for a test drive. I first noticed the dealership while looking for a specific car for sale in Anchorage. My first impression was of their website. First class operation, the staff went above & beyond thier way to make it as satisfying as possible. They were willing to go out of thier way to accomodate me, by picking me up at the airport, fixing small items I noticed that needed minor attention, and also addressing things I did'nt even notice. The owner Ali is all about making people satisfied. Jose is a top notch sales man, and more of a friend rather than just a sales person. The whole crew is just awesome, very friendly. If your looking for a vehicle, I highly recommend stopping by to see what there is to offer here.The entire staff was friendly.I was left to look around the lot peacefully with no pressure. I found a good selection of quality vehicles to choose from. The asking price on my car was spot on. The financing process was the smoothest I've experienced. There was never any harrasement. Jose offered to have some minor things fixed for me without hesitation. He also checked to see If there was any existing warranty on my vechicle so that I wouldn't be paying extra for something I already had. I couldnt be happier with my choice.

This dealership is amazing. The vehicles are quality and the salesmen are NOT trying to rip you a new one or push you to make a purchase. The owner is a true patriot and is extremely supportive of this country. Payless auto has a great staff and they are willing to look out for your personal interests. I recommend going to Jose because he was very helpful and determined to get me in a suitable and reliable car. I am grateful due to the fact he never gave up on getting me in the right car despite my financial situation, he helped me find a way around the financial loop holes involved in getting approved for a vehicle. Over a period of about 3 months Jose never stopped updating me on new inventory and sooner or later he found a perfect car that fits my financial criteria. My husband and I retired a few months ago, sold our home and my car, and then started all over again moving to a new home and new location here in Alaska. I needed to have a reliable used car to drive from Wasilla to Anchorage so we looked on line at the cars Payless offered. We had the most helpful, courteous and professional staff assist us through the process of buying our vehicle. In particular the Office Manager, Lloyd Pennebaker, made the whole process very pleasant without any of the back and forth "haggling" that we have experienced in the past with other car dealers. We would go back to this dealer and recommend them to our kids!

I really needed a vehicle and didn't know what I wanted, so started looking around Jose def helped me out when I stopped by. I didn't feel pressured to buy. it was real laid back and we were out of there in no time, with the vehicle that I was happy with, I recommend coming to Payless it was a great experience.

Brought my girlfriend here to buy a truck, I felt no need to "flex my muscles and battle" with the salesmen. They were kind and didn't rush, force, or stalk during the process. We got what we wanted and are very happy with the buy! Strongly recommend.

Very fast very easy to work with. Saw the car I wanted and within 24 hours I had the keys, with a great deal in hand. Had 0 credit, they fought for me to get me an insanly low interest rate. Over all very pleased and thankful they worked so hard to make the process as smooth as possible.

My wife and I decided to get different cars this was our first stop and it ended up our last stop. As a policy, we never buy the first car we see or buy a car within the first day of shopping. Therefore, we went to Payless with plan to leave and come back if they had the best deal. On the other hand, from the moment I stepped on their lot Jose, the main person I dealt with, was kind and friendly. Then when it was time to leave he did not try to pressure us to stay. In fact, he was so kind and up front he made me want to do business with him. Of course, I recommend you do your homework but if you want a good guy salesmen that easy to deal with and a dealership where the salesmen are not cutthroat go to Payless. Ask for Jose and tell him Dee sent you .
