Do your homework, know what you want & the price you are WILLING pay...then you're at a great place to make a great deal at Pearson Hyundai! We have been there a few times, first it was to see what Hyundai had to offer in SUV's & there was NO pressure. We left and checked around to see what was available and at what price point other dealers had what we were looking for. After doing our homework & talking to Mike Spease on the phone several times, we decided to come in, test drive & have them evaluate our car for a possible trade in! We knew what we wanted to pay and left with a 2017 Santa Fe thanks to the Mike, his finesse in "getting the deal done"! Samantha & Gregory respectively were very great! Sam, came to tell us of the services offered & Greg, who did the financing only added to our experience! Thank you, we will be sending business your way!!

Like I said before, my salesperson was very nice, but I felt very rushed and ended up being mislead by the dealership raising the price a lot more than they were asking for vehicle and acting like I got a great deal. I felt like I was rushed into signing and should have taken more time to review everything and realize I was not getting the deal that I thought I was.

I know that the process of buying/trading a car is not a 5-minute deal. However, there is much that can be refined! There is a lot of precious time wasted, sitting at one table then another, with nothing to do. Then, when you finally get to the 'check-out' phase, they throw paper after paper at you requiring what seems like 100 signatures. I thought I might have sold my house as well as my car!

This was the third higher end car I purchased from Pearson Hyundai. Yet the purchasing experience was no where near adequate. Our sales person never explained where his pricing numbers were derived. As a result of his miscommunication or intentional omission we could not use the low financing APR that we qualify for. Additionally we sold my 2013 Genesis back to Hyundai, however it took 38 days for me to receive the residual. We made several calls over the 38 days to inquire about our money. We only received one call back from Hyundai on day 38.Pearson Hyundai management gave us a indifferent vibe from the first though the last interaction.

Purchase experience was great and I would've rated it a "5" until I was contacted after purchase stating they didn't collect enough money for taxes; and they needed to collect the shortage. I refused to pay this as we agreed already on an out the door price. If this price was not met that day, I would not have purchased the vehicle.

I recently purchased a 2016 Hyundai Tucson, with the assistance of a salesman named Tarronce Walters. I am incredibly pleased not only with my vehicle, but also with the service I received. This was my first time purchasing a vehicle, so I was relieved to have been treated with respect and care despite the fact that I knew nothing about cars or the car-buying process. Terronce took the time to answer all of my questions (and my dad's questions), and he didn't even bat an eye when I had to slam on the breaks during the test drive because of a poor driver (sorry about that). The ultimate compliment, however, is that my eleven year old brother and his sixth grade friends think that the car is very cool. Thank you all for a wonderful experience!

My husband and I can't say enough positive things about our experience and service from the dealership and Howard. Howard was extremely knowledgable about all the vehicles we were interested in and didn't try to push unwanted cars in front of us. My Wife and I spent over 3 hours completing this deal including delivery. It was late in the day and things seem to drag out. It would have been better if delivery had been put off until the next day, and more explanation of the various features such as set-up of blue link, operation of control systems. The car had a inspection sticker for November 2016 where it should have been current. Basically, after the deal was completed we had to wait around waiting for the car to be properly delivered. I will have had to make 2 extra trips to the dealership to get a current inspection and blue-link set-up.

This was the 6th vehicle we have purchased at Pearson. We have always been satisfied with the sales process and service we have received and have every intention of continuing to purchase cars from this dealership. We have three Elantra's now, two of them with 180,000 and 210,000 miles and have never had any major issues. The only things we've needed were radiators in both and an alternator in one.

At Pearson Hyundai, we were treated like a long-lost friend, from the moment we exited our vehicle in the parking lot. Our children, ages 2 & 6, were also greeted warmly & kindly, and given new match-box cars to play with! The dealership was hosting a Memorial Day cook-out, where they offered cold drinks, delicious snacks & grilled foods, free of charge. Having them provide lunch to my hungry children was an incredible bonus and we are grateful. The salesman we worked with was knowledgeable and kind -- not at all pushy or aggressive. Although it was not our intention to leave that day with a new car, the sales manager negotiated a deal that we couldn't decline (we had an existing lease ending within 5 weeks). We had a positive and pleasant experience with almost all Pearson Hyundai employees and look forward to a continued relationship with them.

We bought a new 2017 Santa fe sport, and when we paid the money , the miles on speedometer were 75. When they took out the SUV from showroom, we saw hundreds of small black spots.We asked for another SUV, but no one responded. Even the remote key had dent. We were told, everything will be fixed next day.So we kept the SUV at the dealership and returned back the keys to them.Next day nothing was done and we waited for hours with no response. We were told to come next day and we again left without the SUV. Again another day we waited for hours to get the thing fixed. Extremenegligence and very rude and felt like we were cheated at this dealership. Never ever visit this place.

Overall a great experience but wasn't happy about the Nav card not being in the Vehicle and the last dealership paired my phone and showed me some of the features associated with the audio system, navigation, and safety button features. Servicing never discussed. Great vehicle and the staff was very friendly and didn't feel pushy.

It was a pleasant experiance overall had a pressure free time getting through detting a hyundai accent 2013 60K plus miles on it in great condition, Mr DAVE was by far the best salesmen i ever worked with in my whole life time of going to dealerships, the only thing i disliked is they tried to play our youth to there advantage and give us only 1k for our trade in worth 3400 but overall i trust this dealership they dont sell junk, and they dont try to put outrages prices on vehicles overall. Service dept. left part off my car and now will not return my call and when I went to store they blew my off about getting back with me. Never have Two weeks now no call no communication at all. I also had my vehicle scratch up their again no call to effect to getting it fix or no communication with them at all. Keep asking who took the call doesn't matter they all suppose to be a team so I have spoke with 3 difference service center employee's and left two messages on Mr. Vaughan's phone still no communication from anyone. He has been in the office they always transfer me to his voice mail never will page him for the call.

I did tell them when I arrived that I hated dealing with car dealers and that I was completely out of patience after being at another dealership. I only spent 2 1/2 or so hours total there, and left with a beautiful new car taken from the showroom. They have a 20 yr/ 200,000 mile warranty there. Were very friendly, not at all xxxxxxxx-y, and didn't waste my time.

Absolutely, the worst customer service experience I've ever had!!! An employee was down right abusive and the manager handled it very poorly. I will say the people in the repair department were nice but others who weren't at the desk made inappropriate comments. As a woman, I was very uncomfortable, offended and will never return under any circumstances. I would recommend to anyone to choose another dealership, even if it was a further drive. You would be doing yourself a big favor.

Tarronce was very professional, he was determined to deliver on everything I asked for and he did. The second he shook my hand I knew that I could depend on him to do exactly that. I was told by this dealership that when they took my lease back that I would not have to pay anything except for my final monthly payment. So I turned it in and purchased a vehicle from them. A few weeks later I got a bill in the mail for over $1,400. I called and spoke to the general manager and he told me he would look into it and get back with me that day or the next. It has now been over a week and I have called up there 8 times and still have not heard from him. To make matters worse my sales experience was so good (which it was) I told my mother to go to them for her car. She did and a few days after she purchased her vehicle her sales person knocks on her front door uninvited to collect a copy of her marriage licence and my father's military info. He was told to do so by the management at Pearson. All for a $500 discount. So when they cost you $1,400 they do nothing about it but if you owe them $500 they'll invade your privacy to collect it.

Definitely recommend checking other Hyundai dealers in the area. They're cordial here but when it comes down to closing the deal, it's sleazy, dishonest and lies, lies, lies. Worth shopping around and doing your homework prior to signing on the line here. That goes for sales and finance. Good luck!

Unfortunately this is the closet service center for me. I have taken two different cars here in the last 7 years and with each visit there has been an issue. The latest and last cause I will not take a car there ever again is for the recall about the traction control. I told them the light was on when I made appointment, couldn't get me in for 4 days. Then I pick car up that is supposedly fixed and oh wait light comes right back on. Call and the service manager was quiet rude and told me they had fixed it and I would have to pay for the diagnostic test. I refused. Finally talked with another person they agreed to take another look at the car. That took almost two days to happen and only after several phone calls from me to find out what was going on. They then tell me they need to order the part. Ok but when asked why they didn't order it when the appointment was set they claim they didn't know the problem then, which yes they did I specifically told them what was going on. As of today they have had my car a week for a recall issue. Yes they got me a rental and that I appreciate as the car they have is our only car right now. But there is no reason they should have to keep a car a week for a recall issue when they were told all information upfront. And like I said this is only the latest in a long line of problems with the service dept there.

This is our fifth vehicle purchased or leased with Pearson Hyundai, and we continue to be quite pleased with the entire team. Our lease was about to expire and we decided to stop by the dealership to begin the process of leasing a new Tucson. Since we had already decided which vehicle we wanted as well as color and specs, we wanted a relatively quick transaction process. We were initially greeted by the receptionist, followed by the internet sales representative, who quickly did a search to find what we were looking for and answer some of our questions. Shortly afterwards we were introduced to Justin Avirom, our sales representative. We explained what we wanted, and he immediately went to work to present an incentive offer to term our lease 2 months early, and get us in a new Tucson as soon as possible. Within a few minutes Justin had located a vehicle which met all our criteria, and we ended up with a lower monthly payment. Within two days we picked up the new Tucson, turned in the old one and signed all the paperwork. We worked with Angela Willoughby and Cheryl Showalter on the financial team, and they were so efficient and ready for us when we walked in. Everything went very smoothly. Kudos to the entire Pearson team! We look forward to a continued relationship in the years to come. Thank you all.

After doing an outrageous amount research I decided that I would like to purchase a Hyundai Tucson. I had test driven the car while on vacation in California so when I returned home I headed to Pearson Hyundai. A friend of mine had purchased a car at this dealership and had good things to say about it. I also wanted a dealership close to home for convenience of service. My husband and I stopped in to Pearson and asked the receptionist for a salesman. I hoped that we would have someone who would be knowledgeable and professional. We were introduced to Howard Rouse. We felt very comfortable from the beginning and we actually trusted Howard within minutes. We were a complicated sale as we wanted to look at a specific model of Tuscan (Limited with Ulimate package) and get a trade-in evaluation done within a limited time and my son meet us there to look at a used car (Elantra). Howard was able to juggle all our needs while making us all feel supported. I liked his style which was unassuming but professional, kind, knowledgeable, and patient. I picked out my car but we decided to return the next day to complete the sale due to the late hour in the day. On the following day we came back when the dealership opened and we completed my sale and my son also purchased a car (his first totally purchased on his own). I appreciated how Howard focused on each of us individually as buyers. I was also impressed with the finance person as she ws obviously quite good at her job. I truly hope that in the future if and when we need service on either car that the service department is accommodating, professional and good at what they do, One other comment is that I returned several days later to get a very informative lesson on all the technology components to my car. I believe that person's name was Justin. He was very knowledgeable and kind. I learned a lot and I am amazed the car has so many tech features. So for readers out there I do recommen Pearson Hyundai. I was met upon entering this dealership by Howard Rouse and explained I was just looking and he wanted to know which car and after being lead to the ones on the floor there was the one I liked. We chanted about the car and he explained their incentives and asked was I trading in my car and I was. He went off and came back with a deal I could not pass up with a good price for my 13 year old car. My wife and I were interested in buying a Hyundai Accent or Elantra and went to Pearson on Midlothian Turnpike to test drive both. We were there twice and had interactions with three lot salesman. The first time we were there we had a super high pressure salesman who did the heavy sell on us, calling in the manager, despite the fact it was the first time we'd ever been in the vehicles and were shopping around. We don't have the budget to just pull out the wallet and buy a car on a whim. This was a bad experience and we left, but nothing too out of the normal. Later however we decided to try again. Salesman #2 found out that we weren't going to buy that day as this was our final look at the vehicles before moving forward, and he effectively disappeared. Literally, did not want anything to do with us! So we got stuck with Salesman #3. This one told us that he could not spend a lot of time with us because he only gets paid if he sells cars and if we weren't going to buy that day... essentially we weren't worth the time. We couldn't believe it! After a ridiculous sales pitch he told us, with seeming sarcasm, to call us when we were ready. (Like we would have done that!) My wife had in the past had a bad experience with Pearson Honda in the service department, so maybe we should not have been surprised, but WOW. We have been telling the detailed version of this story to family and they all have the same reaction. So too do other car salesman from other companies. I know the names of 2 of the 3 salesmen, but have no desire to get them in trouble via this rating... but it would be nice for Pearson to improve their ways.In the end we were so disgusted with the experiences that we opted out of Hyundai all together (something we definitely were not expecting)... went and bought a Ford Focus SE. Will never go back to Pearson. Maybe Hyundai, but not Pearson.

I have serious complain about the Dealership and my overall experience. I would like this matter to be reported to Hyundai Senior Management if possible.My 2016 Elantra was delivered to me in a very unprofessional manner first of all. The original sales person was not present at the time of delivery although he promised he will. I had to run across the store to find my second pair of keys which apparently seemed to have been lost initially. All the accessories in the car package (like the wheel locks) were also not present in the vehicle at the time of delivery and I had fight with them to get these.The worst thing that happened at the time of delivery was that I found my new car paint to be full of spider-web scratches all across it's body. It happened because of the inferior car wash that they did to clean up my car, in spite of me personally requesting them to be careful about it. When I complained, I was told that all cars will eventually have scratches one day and there is nothing they can do about it. I did not want to sign the delivery/hand-over sheet as a result and they said you don't have to. I was simply told that they don't care about it. They teared off the vehicle hand-over signature sheet from the user manual and kept it with them. I guess they are going to fill it up themselves with good remarks which will of course not be true. Also, my original signature will not be there on that piece of paper.Overall, it was a very bad experience for me buying this car from Hyundai and specially this Dealership.

Our car was purchased on September 26th and as of 10/17/15 it has actually been in our possession for a little over a week due to the following issues.- A/C blower motor replace- The front brake rotor had to be resurfaced - Loud noise when starting while coldwe went to see about getting a replacement vehicle and were informed that our only option was to trade in our current vehicle for a different one. This would have cost us more money for the same vehicle, secondary to the depreciation of our vehicle.We have purchased vehicles before and have never experienced anything like this before making the first payment. I am truly saddened that this is considered acceptable by Hyundai and its associates

Complete crooks. They charged me for a few things that were not even done. And they told me I needed a tire replaced when it just had fix-a-flat settled in it. They never inspected this tire for safety, just scraped the sealant out. On another visit, they said the TPMS needed to be replaced also due to the sealant. It just needed to be wiped off.They tried to tell me that the use of tire sealant caused nearly $300 worth of damage on a $100 tire. The worst part is they don't include a spare tire with their cars, just a can of tire sealant. Upon placing complaints with the dealership, they actually tried to up-sell me a spare tire kit.Every visit is a chance for them to exploit their customers. Don't buy their cars, don't get your cars serviced there. What a nightmare.

It was a cold, rainy day when my mom and I went into the Pearson Hyundai showroom. I walk with a cane and I was immediately met at the door by a salesman named Mo (Mohamed.)I visited the dealership to turn in a leased Hyundai Sonata in exchange for a new lease on a new Hyundai Sonata. I challenged Mo with the task of simply swapping keys, no money down, while keeping my monthly payment the same. Well, Mo showed me a new Sonata, which I really liked, and he was able to work a deal whereby I would not have to put any money down, but my monthly payment would go up by just $25, which I accepted. In doing so, Mo managed to eradicate all of my notions about the car-buying exercise. He was the ultimate gentleman to my mom, and he treated her and me with respect and warmth. He braved the torrential downpour to deliver the car to me...complete with mounting my plates. He even let my mom wear his jacket the whole time that we were there. In the end, Mo spent several hours with us and competently answered all of our questions. During our visit, the sales manager came over to visit with us, as well. He showed a genuine interest in us and was pleasant to talk with. For more than thirty years I was in sales and I lived by the motto, "We are not in business to make money. We are in business to make customers." Well, Mo has made a customer, and you can quote me on that.

I found everyone at Pearson to be very professional, friendly, courteous and willing to listen. I did not ever feel forced to buy. When I told my salesperson that I wanted to sell my vehicle back to the dealer I bought it from and that I wanted to work out my own financing with my credit union, he was very supportive. His boss even offered if I changed my mind, that they would match the offer on my vehicle and would handle the financing if I decided to do that instead. I felt they were both very supportive of my plans and made me feel comfortable I could do it either way. I am very happy with my purchase and love my Sonata Limited.

I was greeted with an enormous amount of respect and kindness. No other words can describe this elder gentleman's performance. He was professional and right on top of what was unclear to me. This was very comforting to me and it helped ease the tension that I had when I first walked in. He was not pushy and did not carry a "oh well I can't help you with what you want." Purchased a brand new 2014 Santa fe Sport in April 2014 but got more than just a vehicle. A week and half after purchasing the vehicle we found a dead mouse in part of the body that has to be removed when installing the custom Santa fe side steps. We initially couldn't see how the mouse got in. Then 3 weeks later, I had found a hole in the insulation when opening the driver side door. That was how the mouse had gotten in, I called my sales person and arrangements were made to fix it. Let me move to the horrible facts in why I am giving Pearson Hyundai a negative review, call it coincidence or whatever you want but in hindsight my son had remained sick month after month of owning the Santa fe. I had parked under a tree one day and my husband decided to check my engine air filter to make sure it didn't get clogged due to the tree debris, to find half of my engine air filter missing. This find came after owning the Santa fe for 5 months, in which the dealership had 3 opportunities to catch this and did not. The service department checked off that they had checked the air filter but the appearance of the air filter compartment showed otherwise, debris was caked into the top. Please keep in mind, the mouse that was found dead was removed a week and a half after buying the vehicle. So, there would be no reason for half the filter to be missing in the engine and worst of all the air cabin compartment and filter were full of debris, mouse urine, and mouse feces. So, again I called the dealer and asked for new filters, in which my husband installed. I would not let the service department touch the car due to the obvious neglect. Took my son to the allergist and the doctor said that his concurrent illness was definitely related to the inhalation of mouse urine and feces for 5 months. The doctor also said that he could not go back into the vehicle and no matter how much the dealership said that they could clean out the a/c duct system they could never get rid of all the particles throughout the vehicle. Due to the doctors strong recommendation we asked Pearson Hyundai for a new vehicle and they would not work with us. My son's well-being is my priority but I want to mention that during the time my son was sick I too developed bronchitis and had a miscarriage. Again, I do realized my situation may be coincidence but my son's health was not, his persistent illness began after getting the vehicle and stopped after getting rid of it. Prior to purchasing the vehicle it had been parked in a field. When we had purchased the vehicle we thought the new leather smell was a bit intense but coming to find out what we were smelling was mouse urine. One last thing I would like to mention is that we live in a rural area plus the vehicle was garage parked. Yet, Pearson Hyundai refused to work with us because we can't prove that it was their fault. So, we not only had to look elsewhere to get rid of the vehicle but we had to pay to get out of it. Worse experience ever! We notified Hyundai Corp and they gave us the impression that Pearson Hyundai would work us in getting a new uncontaminated vehicle that would not affect my family's health but Pearson Hyundai would not give us a new vehicle even with doctors strong recommendation. I can't believe Hyundai would want this kind of representation.

Pearson Hyundai on Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond VA never fails to provide excellent service. We have purchased four vehicles to date and have found during the process the sales team is not only well trained but goes out of their way to meet our needs. Service visits have been easy to schedule, on time and again the staff is very well trained and polite. We have never had a problem and love Hyundai cars...Hyundai improves the automobiles . i brought my daughters car in for and oil change and get the switch fixed that was on a recall Anyway a tire had to be replaced as well The problem i have is that the tire was 95.00 which i think is really a high price to pay for one tire in all i spent about 150.00 for and oil change and tire rotation which i had a coupon for and the tire I am not quite sure why Pearson is not giving the customer free oil changes with the purchasce of a new vehicle like Priority does for it customers Therefore i cannot give you a good review on pricing of things in your shop

I have been a customer of Pearson for a number of years. I have had all of my Hyundai's serviced at their location and I have been very satisfied with them. Recently I made an inquiry online which was immediately followed up by email and a phone call. Once at the Pearson, I was immediately greeted and helped with my request, I was given options that would best work with my budget. Prior to this, in 2010 I purchased a 2010 Elantra Touring. I was able to trade that vehicle for a 2013 Elantra. I was very satisfied with the customer service and sales at Pearson. I came in with financing from another source; however, Marty Parece worked to get me a better deal through Hyundai, and I was able to get me the payment that I wanted. They were able to get me in and out in a short amount of time and Aaron Mason the finance manager was also very helpful and answered the questions that I had about that process.

I bought my Hyundai Sonata 2007 in a different dealership, but I used to bring it to Pearson's on Midlothian Turnpike all the time for all check ups. After some discussion with my wife, we've decided to get into a new vehicle, and we chose Sonata again. Mr. Dobb was kind and patient enough to lead us through the whole process, and after not too long, we were the owners of a brand new 2013 Sonata. Kudos to Mr. Dobb and his team! We will come back for regular check ups, and possibly purchasing other vehicles in the future.

I was offered top dollar on my trade. When it was discovered that the car we agreed on was already sold, I was offered an upgrade at the same price.Too bad this website isn't functioning properly. I bought a 2012 Elantra in Feb 2012 from Pearson Hyundai. The sales person failed to inform me that the car does not come with a spare tire or jack. I had to learn the hard way. What should have been a 15 min tire change turned into a 4 hour nightmare. If the sales person had informed me at the time of purchase that there was no spare/jack, I would NOT have purchased the vehicle. Hyundai roadside assistance towed my car to Pearson Hyundai because the tire could not be repaired. When the service dept called me they advised that to get the same type of tire I would have to wait 1 day because they did not have it in stock. They offered me their inhouse tire at a cost of $129 for the tire and to have them put it on. I complained to the sales manager and he said he would try to get the the tire changing kit that Hyundai offers at manufacturers cost. Two days later I get a email stating that the kit sells for $289 and he could sell it to me for $199. From speaking to other sales people while waiting to talk to the sales manager they quoted a price of $250 for the kit. I feel deceieved by Pearson Hyundai .. I will never purchase from them again.

I went to this dealer with less than perfect credit. I met internet sales manger, Aaron Mason, Mr. Mason listened and looked at my situation, and instead off doing what all of the major car dealers do, tell you to come back in a year with a lot of cash, or we can not do anything for you at this time. Instead, Mr. Mason looked me square in the eye, and told me, he would do everything in his power to put me ina brand new car with no money down. Now I will be honest, I already owned a 2010 hyundai sonata and I only owed just about what the car was worth. I met Mr. Aaron on Sunday September 30, 2012. Wednesday October 3,2012 I was signing papers on a brand new loaded, not base, 2013 model hyundai elantra, with no money down, and financed through hyundai motor finance company. I am not a payed spokes person, if anyone thinks I am not telling the truth, please stop by the dealership and see for your self. Ask for Aaron Mason and mention this review, my last name is Simmons. He will remember. again I am not a paid spokes person, just a regular customer that was treated fairly, by a major car dealer.

Here we were treated with respect and got a fair price for the vehicle. We shopped other dealerships before buying at this one. I would NOT recommend this dealership AT ALL! The sales person has no knowledge on the Hyundai cars whatsoever. I needed a car that day because my old car broke down and I have a full time job. The price they quoted me is so much higher than the market price. Unfortunately, the West Broad Hyundai does not have the car I want at that time so I had to experience the horrible service from Pearson. They failed to inform me that the car does not come with a spare and then I emailed the manager to complain about the service. NEVER heard back from them. Emailed them twice already. They don't even have the decency to email me back. PLEASE AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!

I have had the worst experience with their service department. Bought 2 new tires, balance and alignment. The inflation in the 4 tires went from 22 to almost 50 psi!!! Thank goodness for the warning light on the dashboard or I would never have known how under inflated one tire was or how over inflated the other 3 were. When I returned to have them check they told me they had not done the alignment because it required a part (shim? the guy said) but if I hadn't returned on my own, they would have never told me.... When I came back they noted one rim on the front (both new tires to the front) was a little bent so they put it AND THE NEW TIRE on the rear. SO NOW, I HAVE ONE NEW TIRE ON THE LEFT REAR AND ONE ON THE FRONT RIGHT! It's idiotic. My mother knows that you cannot do that. Previously they had not filled the radiator properly after a flush, but the service guy was so nice and apologized that I thought it was a fluke. Now having been there 2x for the alignment and it's still not correct, I have no faith in them. Unless you like following behind someone you have paid to do a job, I suggest you go ANYWHERE ELSE!
