I must say, I'm very tough to impress because I always expect the best. After searching through other dealerships looking to trade in my Nissan Sentra and failing to get approved I tried this dealership based on its good reviews. Sam was friendly and answered all my quentions and most importantly considered my situation. He and his manager Jason were able to get me approved for the Camry that I wanted at a reasonable price. Seems too good to be true still lol. Their finance person Manny was also very helpful and patient with me, he answered my questions and explained everything I asked. Like I mentioned earlier, I am a very tough person to impress but this dealership will have my loyalty and hopefully I can fet the same service years from now if I decide to trade! Definately recommend this place and Sam as a sales guy.

Many thanks to both Ruben and Vu for making our car buying experience easy and pressure free. Ruben our sales rep had all the info we needed on the car we purchased and every time my husband and I were discussing the car and price he would give us info and walk away to give us privacy to discuss our options. Ruben presented us with many options and always allowed us to make our decision without pressure. Vu was also a great help he was able to get us some of the extras we needed and kept our payments within our limit. Linh Lam has easily the best customer service skills I have come across. He responds to emails within 10 minutes of me sending my email and he made the whole car buying process very easy and a lot less intimidating as I first expected. We were in the market for a used car, we were able to connect with Dan the internet manager by phone who was able to get us pre approved for financing. As I stated we were in the market for a used car specifically a Prius. Dan met us at the designated appointment time and was more than patient explaining the differences in models etc.. We took a used Prius for a test drive and were sold. Once we got down to the deal Dan asked if we might interested in a lease once the numbers were crunched we were able to drive away with a new 2013 Prius Plug in with no out of pocket a lower payment and rebate.We scheduled an appointment the following morning to sign the paperwork and pick up our car. Vu made it so easy, made sure we understood all the terms no pressure. We drove out in less than an hour. There was one piece of paperwork that we brought home by mistake. Now, you would expect the dealership to ask you to come back in, not in this case Dan drove to our home to pick the paperwork up and again made sure we were completely happy with our vehicle.Dan and Vu provided exceptional customer service, we never felt pressured, the overall experience was great.

Upon arrival, my wife's initial contact with Carlos Gomez was remarkable, he was very understanding of our need to find a new vehicle. He put my wife's and my worries at ease, about financing, finding a vehicle to suit our needs. Later that evening my spouse and myself returned to be greeted by: Luis Serrano, Juan Calderon, and Fernando Najera, all were willing to help us with our finding of the right vehicle. After a quick credit check,we were ready to select a vehicle, again with the courteous , and very helpful staff assisting us! That's when Jason Roberts step up to the plate and work his magic with the numbers, and came up with the Great price! And a Great interest rate! On our beautiful 2013 Camry Se ! I knew it was time for me to buy a new car. It had been over a decade since I had purchased my last car. Needless to say, I was much younger and it was my first car. I was very nervous about the process of buying a new car. I have heard horror stories about the negotiations, time, and paper work that it takes to walk away happy or content with a new car. Knowing that I wanted a Camry Hybrid, a friend referred me to go see Linh Lam. And what the other reviews says, is true. Linh, along with his team members Dan and Israel made my experience of purchasing my big girl car easier than I could have imagined. They were very friendly, easy to talk to, and made me feel comfortable enough to ask any type of question. No negotiations needed. Everything I could have wanted in a car was right there in that Camry Hybrid for a great price! Time? Not an issue. I was out of there in no time. The paper work was already laid out and ready to go. I was so excited to drive away in my beautiful new hybrid! But all of that excited was taken away in a matter of two hours of purchasing the car. I was driving home on the freeway when an object came flying at my beautiful, new car out of nowhere! When I check to see if any damage was done, I found part of the grill had been broken. I was devastated, frustrated, and wanted to cry. I immediately contacted Linh and explained what had happened. He was my saving grace when he told me that everything was going to be alright and that the grill would be replaced at no cost. Talk about bad luck, but having good people to help you out. My overall experience of purchasing a new car was a pleasant experience and I am so grateful to have worked with Linh. I highly recommend if you are looking to buy a Toyota, to go see Linh and his team at Penske Toyota Scion of Downey! Youll be glad you did!

I recently purchased a new Hybrid Camry from Linh Lam at Penske Toyota of Downey. This is my 4th purchase from Linh and this dealership. I will never purchase a car from another Toyota Dealership. Linh has always exceeded my expectations in terms of the honesty, easiness, service and pricing he has provided me with each of my purchases. I live in within 10 minutes of two other Toyota Dealerships, but I will drive 30-45 minutes to buy a car from Linh. Lastly, no one likes spending a lot of time at a car dealership. I can honestly say, I have never spent more than an hour with each purchase from Linh, and usually closer to 45 minutes. In each case, I knew what type of car I wanted and by the time I got to the dealership, all of the paperwork is usually all ready to sign and ready to go by the time I get there. I have referred two of my grown children as well as my neighbor to Linh at Penske Toyota of Downey, and will continue to do so.

My experience at buying a Camry from Penske Toyota was nothing short of excellent. I was referred to Linh Lam by my uncle, and it was the best experience as compared to other dealers. With other dealers, they wouldn't give us the exact price up to the point of sale so we wasted time waiting and waiting only to find out we didn't agree. It was very different with Linh Lam. He was honest and to the point--the prices he gave on the phone were the actual prices so it saved us a lot of time going back and forth. We saved time, effort, gas and when we went there for our appointment, the car was already parked outside ready to be tested. Very, very helpful. Linh Lam provided us a truly exceptional service. I would definitely refer everyone I know to Penske Toyota.

Weve been holding on to our old Camry for as long as we could, as we hate shopping for cars. Recently we finally decided to replace it with a 2013 model. Our purchase experience at Penske Toyota was painless; actually pleasant. We just exchanged a few emails through a friend who knew the Fleet Director, Linh Lam, who promptly answered our questions and quoted us very reasonable prices, including the extended warranty price. When we decided on all the options and color, Linh was able to find us the exact car within 2 days. While we were there, we witnessed how efficient he was, handling 3 sales at the same time, and finding time to talk to each customer, and making them feel that theyve been well taken care of. I went to Toyota anticipating to buy a used car. After much consideration, Cesar, my salesman, put me in a brand new Prius. He did not force me to do so or haggle me to try it out. We went on a test drive and he wasn't too pushy. He was very knowledgable and answered all my questions about the Prius. He could see that I wasn't too sure if I really wanted to buy a brand new car so he had me talk to Finance. After talking with Jason, he informed me that there was 0% APR for qualified buyers of the Prius. After I found that out, I took a few days to consider my options. A week later, I went back to Penske Toyota Scion and Cesar put me back in the 2013 Prius to see if I wanted to go ahead with purchasing the vehicle. I fell in love with the car and I enjoyed the respectfulness of Cesar. No one there was forcing me or trying to convince me to do something I didn't want to, to benefit them and I truly appreciated that. Luckily, after meeting with Jason again, I was a qualified buyer and I was able to get 0% APR on my brand new Prius. They worked with me on the price so I could leave there comfortably, knowing I didn't just spend every last penny I had to my name. Shah helped me fill out the rest of the paperwork and answered all of my questions regarding the terms & conditions. He didn't rush me while I was reading and was extremely patient with me. After spending a couple hours at the dealership, I left with my brand new White Prius and I couldn't be happier! (PS, you can't beat the gas mileage!)

I just purchased my 5th vehicle from Penske Toyota and, just like the previous 4 experiences, am extremely pleased with my dealer experience. In total, my family has purchased 11 Toyotas from Penske and we worked directly with their Fleet Director, Linh Lam. Prior to finding Linh, going to a dealership was always a daunting task, not knowing if you were getting the best deal on a new vehicle. With Linh, he's quick, efficient, HONEST and does everything he can to be sure you drive away a satisfied customer. Most times, we're in and out in about a half hour because most of my contact with Linh is via phone or email, all there is to do once we arrive at the dealership is sign papers. Linh provides the best options available and gives sound advice on lease-vs-purchase options. I appreciate his professionalism and honesty and consider myself a repeat, loyal Toyota customer. I have been buying cars for 40 years and have been in sales of one kind or another for just as long. I was referred to Lin by my best friend who bought his Tundra from him 2 years ago. Without a doubt, this was the most professional and painless purchase transaction I have ever done. This was the first time I did everything on the phone as I live 45 miles away from Penske Downey. From the first conversation to the final signature, everything Lin said he was going to do happened as he said it would. No high pressure or sales T.O.'s, the deal he gave me on the phone was the deal I received. In fact, Lin saved me $800 as he caught an error on the contract after it was signed and instructed the Finance Dept. to write a corrected lease agreement. I would have never known an error was made--his honesty was the icing on the cake and I will gladly refer anyone I know who is looking for a new vehicle to Lin without any hesitation whatsoever.

Linh is the man. He's HONEST. He's RELIABLE. He's down to earth. He doesn't give you that uncomfortable car buying/shopping feeling/experience. He makes you feel right at home. I think that when you review a car dealership, you need to differentiate between the buying experience and service experience. I can't yet attest to the parts and service side of Toyota Penske, so this review is for the buying experience only. Buying my first new car, I was admittedly nervous. Let's face it, car salesmen don't have the best reputation for being the most up-front and honest business men, and some people (myself included) get downright paranoid about getting swindled. Lin Lahm's approach is different from the typical "I'll start high, you start low, and we meet in the middle" model to car negotiation. His mindset is that life is too short to negotiate. Lin starts low... period. He won't make as much of a profit, but he'll sell more cars that way and have happier repeat customers. And believe me, the prices he quotes really are a steal. I got a quote for a 2013 Toyota Corolla over the phone and he let me know that the price was non-negotiable. I thought "That's odd... aren't car dealers supposed to negotiate?" and decided to call a number of other dealerships to see if they could match the price. When the closest quote I got was $50.00 more a month (and, I might add, for a even lower-end model!) I knew Lin was the guy to deal with. Lin personally met with me on his day off to seal the deal. All in all the total experience took less than 90 minutes, and most of that involved me on the phone getting insurance settled. I might also add that I changed the color preference on him the last second from a silver to metallic grey. His guys worked overtime to get my new color choice ready to go. In addition, on the phone, Lin had told me about a recent college graduate discount that Toyota had and included that in his initial quote. He had just come back from vacation, and on the day I came in found out that rebate had been discontinued. But he still honored our original price! A few days ago my 15-year-old car blew an engine. Because of the high cost of repair and replacement, we decided to purchase a new car. A good friend of mind referred us to Penske Toyota in Downey; he told to us to speak Mr. Linh Lam because he is an honest man and would treat us right.I met with Mr. Lam the next day. I was having trouble finding the exact car I was looking for, so Penske very kindly ordered the car for me and kept me up to date on its arrival. On the day I went to pick it up, it was sitting in the middle of the lot, all clean and detailed. Sales associate Linh Lam couldn't wait to show me all the features of the car...how the navigation system worked, Entune system, etc. It was abundantly clear to me that he wasn't just going through the motions...he was very enthusiastic about the product and wanted me to be as excited as he was. He also had an impressive amount of product knowledge, which, quite frankly, is uncommon at most auto dealerships. I got great financing, and a very pain-free, no-nonsense buying experience. I would recommend Penske Toyota Scion of Downey to anyone.

As usual, my experience at Penske Toyota in Downey was superb. Christian was an excellent salesman. He was very patient with me and answered all the questions I had about a hybrid. The other person I dealt with there was Jason Roberts. He was by far the best finance director. Jason went above and beyond what any finance director would do. Most of the time when you go to a dealership, you never get to meet the finance director. They usually sit in their office and send the salesman out to negotiate the price with you. Not in my case, Jason took the time to come out and introduce himself and worked out a great deal with me that was hard for me to refuse. I would definitely go back to Penske for my next purchase.

I had a friend gave the dealership a call and spoke with Linh Lam. My friend asked for a good deal on a vehicle I wanted and Mr. Lam gave the price over the phone. My friend and I decided to go in and close the deal. Mr. Lam was a straight up type of man; no going around the bush type of guy. Mr. Lam was very friendly, helpful, and straight forward. We really like the experience and had an uncle went the following day to purchase a vehicle also. I would recommend this dealership to my friends and family first before they try any other dealers.

I was referred to Linh Lam through a friend. Linh was outstanding and completely honest in dealing with my wife and I. We actually brought a vehicle with us (that we weren't necessarily ready to get rid of) to trade in. We simply needed a more fuel efficient vehicle for my wife's long daily commute. Linh showed us we could keep the vehicle we brought to trade in and still have payments on the new vehicle that were within our budget. Linh wrote out all the numbers for us on paper for us to see. He was never pushy or quick to make a deal. As a matter of fact, he even sent us home to think about it and told us to come back the next day, which we did. Linh's biggest concern seemed to be making sure we were comfortable with the purchase we were making and that we drove away completely satisfied. This sealed the deal for us. If given the option, I would use Linh for all of my future vehicle purchases. I cannot say enough good stuff about Linh. He created a totally different car buying experience and my wife and I greatly appreciated it. Ultimately, we went home with a 2012 Camry XLE Hybrid...and we love it! Thanks Linh!!!

This is the second Prius that I have purchased at Penske and I have recommended numerous family members and friends. Linh Lam is great. I can honestly say that I have NEVER experienced such phenomenal customer service as I did with Linh and Karen of Penske. Not only were my sister and I treated with the utmost respect but we felt as though we were part of their family. From the moment we entered the premises to the drive off, every detail, question and concern was addressed in a friendly and expeditious manner. The bottom line is, if it were possible to clone indviduals, I would certainly clone Linh and Karen! They epitomize what customer service once was and should always be. It was such a pleasure to work with both Linh Lam and Phu Ho on the purchase of my Prius (which i adore!) - both the time leading up to the purchase and the experience itself was easy and cordial. Linh Lam was recommended by a friend--which in my book I hold in high regard. We ordered our Prius Plug In online and Linh promptly contacted us and guided us through the entire process. Linh followed up regularly to let us know where our order was in the queue and when it was due to arrive. We had never before ordered a car online without first seeing it--a scary process--but Linh made it easy and painless. In fact, Linh, Adrian and Phu made the experience incredible and virtually seamless. This is our second Prius and we will definitely buy our next one from Linh and his team. I bought a new Prius from Penske and had a eye opening experience dealing with Linh Lam. Not only was he very professional, he was cutious, very knowledgeable, listened to my concerns, answered e-mails and phone calls very promptly, and dealt with my 90 year old father and myself with the upmost of respect. I cannot say enough about this employee. When the time came to pick up the car everything was ready and in order to make the endless paperwork seem like five minutes. The car was gassed up clean and ready. This is the third Toyota I have bought from Penske and when I drove out of the parking lot my head was spinning. By far the best car buying experience I have ever had. Linh and his team were wonderful. They located the minivan I wanted when competing dealerships made much less effort to accommodate my needs and desires. Back in 2008, a friend of ours told us to go see Linh Lam at Penske Toyota Downey when we needed to purchase a new car. We spoke to Linh on the phone and told him what we were looking for. By the time we arrived, he had everything all ready for us which saved us a lot of time. He was so friendly and made us feel like we were old friends. Everything was so convenient, quick and easy. Linh truly made it the BEST car-buying experience we've ever had. Fast forward to 12/26/11, we needed to purchase a new car for my in-laws. We called Linh again and I wasn't sure if he was going to remember us. Not only did he remember us, he remembered some very specific details about our conversations from 2008! We weren't treated like 'one of the many cars he's sold,' but we were treated like family. Again, everything was really quick and easy. We dropped off our other car at the service department for an oil change while we were purchasing the new car and were told we would have to wait 3 hours. Linh got our oil change taken care of right away so we wouldn't have to wait. We were also pleased with our experience with Phu Ho who took care of our final paperwork and the financing. He was very friendly and we were soon joking around like we were old friends. With both of our car purchases, we were extremely happy about the price we got and the awesome customer service just made it that much better. Linh and Phu are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We will be back for our next Toyota purchase!

We bought a car from them using the internet. Linh answered my questions and gave me an exact number for the out-the-door price.The price was so low I was afraid there might be something wrong with the car (there wasn't). I guess they were just very motivated to move cars.We drove up from San Diego- they had their act together. I spent more time in line at the local McDonald's (NOT recommended) than I did waiting to be helped at the dealership.Biggest problem I had was figuring out how to get the wife's phone to work with the new car's Bluetooth. Linh helped us troubleshoot it- we did get it working and were on our way.Entire process was very painless.

He asked me what exactly I was looking for and offered me a few options. Soon enough I was test-driving my future Prius! Jason Roberts reviewed with me my options and made it easy for me to understand. Mike and Jason were thorough with the buying process, but made it fun as well! They have a great attitude with customers and are able to really get you in and out. Vu Trang did the financing and moved at the speed of lightning. I was in and out of his office if record time. This was my second time buying a Toyota at Penske, well, from Linh to be exact. And my very first Yelp review! As I was reading some of the reviews on the dealer, I felt the urge to share that there is actually a great redeeming quality or personnel at Penske, Linh Lam. I have never dealt with the service department, so I can't comment on that. However, my overall experience with Linh was outstanding. He's simply the best!! Not only did he have the most competitive pricing, he also matched that with his exceptional professionalism. There was no haggling, he never pressured me to purchase anything that I didn't desire such as extended warranty and accessories. He's always very upfront about financing as well. No hidden fees, of course. The first time I bought my Toyota from Linh was a simple money down purchase whereas the second time purchase involved trading that Toyota in for a new Prius. My biggest concern was how much I would get for my car because when it comes to buying a new car, you can do some online and phone researches to get the most competitive pricing on the car you want. Getting an appraisal on your car, on the other hand, requires you to drive your car to a dealer and the like for which I didn't have time. Although I finally made the time to get a few appraisals for my car, investing every weekend I had, I realized I had simply wasted my time doing so. After settling on the price of a new Prius, I told him that I'm thinking of trading in my car. Linh thoroughly explained what my trade-in value is going to be like and the factors that would affect my trade-in value. The appraisal he gave me was very reasonable. It was actually better than the appraisal I had received from Carmax. I was very happy with my first experience with Linh and that was the reason why I went back to Linh for my second car. He is extremely honest and will tell you what he can or cannot do for you. No hidden fees or surprises at the end of the negotiation whatsoever!! Do your research first and go see Linh, then you'll know that the pricing and everything else you receive from him is second to none. I'll continue to do business with him in a heartbeat. One thing I found out from one of his associates is that Linh is actually one of the best Toyota sales consultants in the NATION. I mean, think about it, if you were him, would you jeopardize such reputation over some lousy deals and mediocre professionalism? Just remember, a guy like him must have a bigger agenda to continue to build his reputation in his career than to make a few hundred bucks on a car deal with dishonesty.

It was time to change the oil on both of my RAV4 and MR2. I'm driving to Penske Toyota Scion of Downey on Saturday Sep. 10 when I noticed I didn't have my online coupons for the oil and filters I needed. So I called parts and asked if they could honor the coupon sale prices. Moses Gamboa took the call and gladly accepted to honor them for me. On top of that he said he was going to give me a 10% discount. I got to the location and went straight to Moses. With his positive attitude and excellent customer service he provided me with what I needed at the sale prices I wanted. I contacted Linh on referral from the Toyota Corporate Office with a very specific model and car color and although he educated me on the current promotions and deals he never tried to "sell" me something else. He returned my calls regularly, was very honest about specific things I was considering adding or going without on my new car, and did not give off the salesman feel that I had previously encountered in my car search. We handled finances, car insurance, and other major details in advance, so I ended up being handled very efficiently when I went to the actual dealership. I was in and out in 1 hour and 40 minutes and this included a test drive of the car, even though I already knew I really wanted it! I drove to Downey from West Hollywood, because I preferred to work with Linh, the dealership (Penske) had a great reputation, and Linh never said "no", he was willing to work with me. Shane or Scott, I don't exactly remember his name was very helpful in getting the car set up and was easy to drive with on the test drive. Israel also was very efficient without being overly business, I never felt like I was being "handled" or "sold to". This was an overall excellent car buying experience and has turned me almost into an evangelist spreading the word about the positives of buying a new car.

This dealership went above and beyond to find me the best deal. I am a first time car buyer, so to be expected I was a nervous wreck to say the least. But the personnel was so friendly and helpful that after the sales person (Juan Calderon) approached me, I felt completely calm. I would definitely come back and buy another car from them in the future... :) I would recommend this dealership 110%!

By far, this is a company that knows the meaning of the word "professionalism." I am from out of state and hired Penske to do an inspection of a car that I was considering for purchase. When I called, I was connected to the General Manager, Eddie. He was great and wasted no time in referring my request to Sheila. Everything about working with the company was #1. Sheila was pleasant and informative; taking the time to make certain that I understood the work. She expertly explained the process and evaluation and the results of the inspection were prompt. She spoke with me about the report over the phone and faxed the results. She even arranged the appointment for inspection with the dealer that had the car. I wouldn't hesitate to call on them again for service and evaluation. Penske can be very proud as a corporation if Eddie and Sheila are an indication of their people. This inspection saved me thousands of dollars as I ended up passing on the vehicle.

The Penske Toyota of Downey is a wonderful dealership. It is always the best experience ever in dealing with a car dealership. No hassle, no pressure, helpful, friendly and they are very professional. I would and have recommend this dealership to several co-workers, family and friends that may need service or to purchase a Toyota or Scion vehicle. I have dealt with the Shop foreman (Robert Murguia) and he is very profesional and courteous and explains everything to me with the details on what work he was going to do to the car, even if it is something as simple as a minor tune-up, I am always treated as if it was a major job. I have nothing but praise for this dealership and the men that work on my vehicle. Robert M. is so knowledgeable with the Toyota vehicles that I trust him with every recommendation he makes for my car and other cars that I have had friends and family take to him to have serviced at this dealership. This dealership is not my local dealership, but it is worth the drive to get the service that I receive each and everytime. They again are easy to work with and very efficient always. There is nothing worse than taking your car in for service and having a pit in your stomach about getting taken advantage of. That has never been the case at this dealership. Robert has always taken the time to explain what the problem is and what needs to be done to correct it. I always drive off knowing I got the best service possible and wasn't taken advantage of. i've gotten three toyotas from Linh Lam, and this prius will be my 4th. I've shopped around, done tons of research on Edmunds and Truecar, got tons of email quotes and called tons of other dealers but no one can beat Linh on customer service, price, and integrity. he's straight forward, no BS and doesnt wast my time. the car buy experience was painless. we were in and out under an hour, including test drive and all the necessary paperwork. I got everything i needed and nothing i didn't need/want. no pressure--just friendliness, good advice and great customer service. needless to say, i will never buy from anyone else from now on. i'm recommending Linh to all of my friends and family.

They were easy to work with, very efficient & always gave me a quick response.Unlike other dealers, I could get a quote from them right the way.After couple email back & forth with Linh, I already knew I can work with him.He was not pushing but kept contact with me.Once I decided to buy the car, it only took couple email for us to settle the price.And I met them couple hours later to pick up the car.Both Linh Lam & his assistance Shane were professional & courteous.After a quick test drive & some questions; it took about 20 minutes more to finish all the paper work & we were on our way.Both me & my wife really enjoyed this experience & will definitely recommend friends to them.

This is my second visit to this service dept. I was impressed the first time and thought the 2nd visit wouldn't be as favorable. This visit was even better! Jose Barrera met me at my car, explained everything to me and gave me a quote for the service. Robert Murguia then met me and explained what work he was going to do to the car, it was a minor tune-up, but I was treated as if it was a major job. I have nothing but praise for this dealership and the men that worked on my car and attended to my needs. This dealership is not my local dealership, but it is worth the drive to get the service that I received. I had many problems with local dealership. I am so grateful that the service was recommended by a friend. When they completed with my car, I received a call from Jose and he met me when I approached to pick up my car and pay. Both Jose and Robert are very professional and they should be commended for the service that they provided.

The dealership was fantastic. They had the exact vehicle I wanted, a great price, they were low pressure and didn't jerk us around. Everyone I met knew their material (rare at dealerships, believe it or not) and were willing to take their time with me. Even though their price was the best, I would have bought from them regardless because they were so great to work with. Penske dealerships are the best.

Email and in person assistance was excellent and informative. My first contact with Mr.Swanenburg via email and telephone. He put me i contact with Mr. Lam since we was going to be out of town on the date I intended to come in for a test drive. Service was prompt upon arrival at the dealership and Mr. Lam was attentive and helpful throughout the process. He was very patient in answering my numerous questions related to the various cars I was looking at. He was very knowledgable about all of the cars I looked at. He was able to clearly and concisely explain the prices of the various cars and what each had to offer. He did not rush me in making my decision about the car that was right for me. He made what I usually consider a very unpleasant process an enjoyable one. I would recommend the dealership to family and friends without hesitation.

I went in to buy a new Prius and Lihn Lam could not of been more helpful. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the car he also had a great personality and was easy to talk to. I never once felt as if I was beong "sold" too...Lihn just seemed like he really knew all about the vehicle and was excited to share with me all he know about it.Phu Ho was the finance guy and he was great too. He really took the time to help explain what all the different costs and options were. He made what is usually a pretty confusing and intimidating process very easy. Phu explained all the paperwork and options in a thorough and efficient way. Phu is also just a very nice man...we talked about how long he has been at a Toyota and how interesting his job is.The customer service is what made this purchase so pleasurable. Not only did I buy a quality vehicle (with great MGGs!)but i dealt with people who I really felt had my bet interests.I would highly recommend Penske Toyota!

Enjoyed doing business with Linh. I do not like to haggle and do the "sales dance". I just want to know how much the car is selling for and whether I feel it is a fair price to pay. He was friendly and straight-forward. There was no haggling. He gave us a good deal, even helped us figure out which route to take in terms of financing. Financial department was great. Did not try to sell us anything. Asked if we were interested in additional warranties, coverages, etc. but accepted our "no"s and did not push further. Great dealership, great customer service, would highly recommend Linh.

I recommended Penske Toyota and Linh Lam to my friend. I was just hoping he was still there. Linh was honest and straight forward. He gave us the best price with a few options thrown in as a bonus. What a guy! The whole time from start to finish was less than 1 hour. As long as he had the car in stock, he had the car ready to test drive and ready for sale. As a pure gentleman, he set a car aside just for us. The car looked great and was ready to go. Car-buying can be such an intimidating experience. That said, my family and I have been dealing with Linh for the past 5 years and I have nothing but praises for him and Penske Toyota. Linh's honest and we leave the dealership feeling like we got the best value for our money. Most of our dealings have been over the phone -- we tell him exactly what we want, he gives us the best price possible then lets us know once the car is ready to be picked up. Gone are the days of sitting at a dealership for hours waiting to get through the paperwork. Once we arrive, Linh has everything ready and we're usually out the door in less than an hour. This is our second purchase of a new Camry from Penske Toyota. Lihn and Alvin provided us with an apppointment to meet our schedule and processed the purchase documents in a timely manner. Our questions regarding the 2011 Camry safety features and the navigation system were answered and explained so that we knew what to expect in an emergency situation and to program our bluetooth and navigation systems. The price was better than our previous purchase when the total maintenance program is considered along with sale price negotiated. As I indicated we are a repeat customer of Penske Toyota and recommend our friends to this dealer.

Professional, courteous, genuinely interested in satisfying the customer's every need without absolutely zero sales pressure. From the customer perspective, that is truly appreciated. They actively listen for the customer's transportation requirements and then translate that into action. Instead of pushing a similar vehicle that may be sitting on the lot, they aggressively pursue the exact vehicle the customer is looking for. I have been buying all my cars from Penske Downey for the past seven years. I always look for Linh Lam, Fleet Director. He is amazing. Once you meet him you will go no where else! Talked with Mr. Lam a few times before coming in. Basically got all the important information over the phone and he ordered my Tacoma. Linh made the process as quick and smooth as possible, the whole process took less than 2 hours. He worked with us to figure out our monthly payments and a good finance rate. He was very pleasant to work with and so was his assistant, they explained every part of the car and even helped me set-up my bluetooth.

My wife and I went to this dealership to purchase a new car (Penske Toyota in Downey); and from beginning to end they could not have made it a more horrible experience. 80% through the deal the sales person Eddie Fatheaazam decided to stop the deal dead in it's tracks without any reason or explanation. We were shocked. The only thing he told us was "It's not in Mr. Penske's best interest to sell a car to your kind of people" The next day the sales manager Jason, contacted us and apologized for what had happened and Eddie Fatheaazam's rude, antagonistic, offensive, and out of line treatment towards us and told us that the vehicle was available and that from this point on we would receive VIP treatment from their fleet manager Linh Lam. He told us to wire the money as a deposit towards the vehicle so that they could hold the vehicle for us and we agreed to doing that contingent upon it being a fully refundable deposit. They told us the whole deal would go smoothly from that point on and when we go to pick up the vehicle we would be in and out in 15 minutes. Once we wired the funds and confirmed they had received the funds we never heard back from them. We called to inquire as to what was going on and they said that the vehicle had some minor damages that needed to be repaired before it was sold to anyone. We asked them to let us know when the car would be fixed. We again did not hear back from them. So we contacted them again and they informed us that the vehicle that they claimed was not in a selling condition because of minor dents and scratches, had already been sold to someone else without any repairs being done to it. They did not give us any explanation as to how and why this had happened. The real nightmare started when we wanted our money back. We asked them to refund our deposit immediately and they would not respond to us and/or refund our money. We left about 20 voice and email messages for the general manager, and he refused to come on the phone or call us back and refund our money. When we contacted the sales person and sales manager they were extremely rude, antagonistic and unresponsive, and they told us that the only person that could answer any questions about the refund was the general manager and that he was not available to talk with us. Eddie Fatheaazam and Eddie Swanenburg are a bunch of bullies that run an unethical operation. Customer service has no meaning to this dealership. They are patronizing and antagonistic and it's not worth doing business with them under any circumstances. They made false claims and representations throughout the entire process. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. They are deceptive and dishonest. We were lied to and misled by the sales people and management.

me and my fiancee purchased a vehicle they said all the paperwork was fine so we drove out happy 3 weeks later i call to ask if all the paperwork was fine it was so 1 week later i got a call saying we werent financed the financer from penske toyota said we were he lied not only that he was very rude to the CUSTOMERS and EMPLOYEES very rude we put up with it because of the price of the car very good but this man was rude MUHAMMED STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY WOW WHAT A CHARACTER he is a lier a cheater and a deciever he lied. every one is nice except him we put 2500 down and now its been difficult to get it back not our fault they lied STAY AWAY PLEASE NOT WORTH IT THEY WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING FOR A SALE EVEN GET YOUR HOPES UP LIKE ME AND MY FIANCEE.

I left a rating before as I actually bought my current car from Andy, but this time I was looking for a car for my girlfriend. We ended up purchasing from Power Toyota Cerritos, but we couldn't have done it without a quote from Andy at Penske. I gave him the lowest quote on a specific MSRP on a vehicle I was looking for. He dropped the quote by another $205. Unfortunately, he didn't have the color we wanted. We shopped the quote around and only two dealers wanted to play ball. Symes and Power Cerritos.

First, know your price and credit score! This cannot be stressed enough when buying a car! Andy Vu made a great offer on the lowest deal I found from another friendly salesman (Richard Garcia at Marina Del Rey Toyota). He just dropped the price by $500 on the quote. No haggling involved on my '06 Matrix XR. I made this purchase two years ago and have been happy ever since. he even threw in 5 free oil changes and some carwashes.
