We bought a Jeep Renegade. The experience at Phillips Chrysler was second to none. Every person involved in the buying process was incredible. Kind, patient, knowledgeable, wonderful to work with. Awesome place to do business. I took my truck in for repairs and met with service advisor Derrick. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with all my questions and getting my truck taken care of. The repair quotes were very reasonable as well. Christina was also very helpful with my car rental while my truck is being taken care of and she was able to answer several questions I had as well. Everyone there was very polite and helpful that I dealt with. Unfortunately I didn't buy this truck from them but I will be back and they will be getting all my business going forward.

Marcus Mister is a professional automobile salesperson. Marcus made notes on exactly what I wanted in my Dodge Dart and a secondary list of acceptable colors. He went right to work on locating what I wanted. I had met Marcus on a previous visit. He showed me the Dart and it's many features beyond my wants, answered my questions and told me he would be ready to help me when I returned to buy.Marcus was indeed ready to help me recently. He made car buying an enjoyable experience. When I am for a new car, you can bet I will be looking for Marcus.Oh. And Brad Leonard was most helpful securing financing. He made the paperwork fun! Bought a nice used car for a decent price with friendly sales people, everything went well except I was not told it was a "smokers" car. BUT, I was personally assured it would smell fresh when I picked it up. Not true. Wife won't get in it and I had to have it professionally cleaned after the purchase. Found out from cleaner that nicotine is a "fungus" and hard to remove and is not healthy to be around. Car should have been cleaned, I should have been warned about the fungus and car should have been heavily discounted or cleaned. I like this dealership and have bought both a new truck and a used vehicle in the last two months and traded in 4 vehicles. They are reasonable and friendly and easy to work with. Service department is very good and accommodating. Business Office is professional but not especially personable.

I typically loathe buying vehicles but we got engaged with the team at Phillips Chrysler Jeep Dodge and from start to finish it was a wonderful experience. Joe Washburn was very quick to respond to my questions when I engaged them through their website and he provided a lot of help in a variety of ways. I felt like he had my best interest in mind every step of the way. We then went onsite and met Joe, which then aligned us with Marcus Mister from the sales team. Marcus was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable and again always felt he was being sincere, not pushy and had our best interests. Kevin Roberts on the finance side of things then took us through the checking out processes. We were in and out very efficiently and continue to be very excited about our new vehicle. I typically have heavy buyers remorse following a vehicle purchase, but again feel that our best interests were most important and I think that's driven from the top on down, so I think that's important for others to know.

The first time I went, they were wonderful. My second visit took place about 6 months after that (Sept. 2016) and what a horrible experience. The service department lacks communication all around. Starting with the receptionist/cashier who is very rude and impatient, to the service rep who is more worried about avoiding listening to a customer and just getting them out of his office, to the shuttle service who didn't write down that I even needed to be picked back up from my drop off point. All around just poor service due to lack of communication and poor customer service.They did try to make up for it once I called the manager who was very friendly and helpful, but even then he was able to witness the lack of communication between his staff that I had complained about.I am all about giving people second chances, but this experience left me feeling like there is no point of bringing my vehicle back there. Who knows what they forget to communicate in the actual service area.

At first, the dealership was hesitant to swap out an OEM rim I had to replace on my car, because they were scared they might scratch the new one and be responsible for replacing it. I assured them they are an authorized service dealer for Dodge, therfore they must have someone qualified. After searching they found the correct certified technician who did a great job doing the swap. I did inquire about VIN etching but the service advisor had no idea what I was talking about

We had been looking for a new vehicle for 3 months. We went to about 15 dealerships as far away as Orlando. Didn't really know what we wanted. It was a terrific buying experience. JD was attentive, listened to what we wanted and made sure we got what we wanted. We feel it was one of our best buying experiences to date. If there is a negative it was with the financing. We were led to believe that it would only take about 20 minutes for the financing option AND once we were in the finance office that was true; however, it took about 45 minutes for the finance office to set up the paperwork. Not having been told this, we were somewhat frustrated by the time we made into the finance office. Had this been properly explained either by JD or the finance officer it would have been a perfect buying experience.Even so, we would still recommend this dealership above all others we have encountered over the years.

I brought my new Chrysler Town and Country into Phillips for an oil change and a few minor things that were not working properly on my vehicle. My service person was Jeffrey Smith. I felt like he had a "why are you bothering me" attitude when I asked to have several things checked out that I had spoken to the customer service rep about when I made the appointment. Jeffrey said he only had it down that I was getting an oil change. I felt that since I was not paying for things since it was all under warranty I was taking up him time. I asked to have the driver's side window checked because it was rattling when I closed the door and the back passenger side door didn't open from the inside, I had to open it from the front panel, and the idle felt very rough. He said the rattle was coming from something I had in the back of the car, the passenger door worked fine, even though I didn't see him check it, and it is still not opening from the inside, and the idle was the way it should be, again, even though I didn't see him check it, and it's still idling very rough. Also, I forgot to ask to have my tires rotated and no one even suggested it even though that is usually done when you get an oil change. The whole experience left me feeling like I made a mistake purchasing my vehicle from Phillips.

The WORST customer service. You make an appointment for service and no one is available to sign you in. Trying to schedule service via phone is a joke. All they do is transfer you around. Took me 30 minutes and 6 associates to get a simple oil change scheduled. They are very rude. Very unorganized. I would rather drive to another dodge service center and waste gas before coming here again. I gave them multiple opportunities and each time the service is worse. Glad I didn't purchase my vehicle at this dealer because that department isn't any better. This entire dealership is terrible. STAY AWAY!

We were traveling with our trusty 2003 Town and Country, when it began making noises. The service folks at Phillips told us we needed a new transmission, but we didn't want to put that much money into the old van. So we walked into the showroom, looking a bit unhappy, because we really didn't want to buy a new van right after spending two expensive months in Florida and being two days away from our home. Fortunately, Mark Helfer came to our rescue. His pleasant personality and comforting ways helped us to calm down, enabling us to make the decision to purchase our new van. The young man in finance (Brad, I believe?) also was very helpful with his pleasant personality and reassurance that everything was going to be okay. He worked with our numbers until we felt comfortable with this purchase. We felt a little bit unhappy that we didn't have the time to order our van exactly the way we wanted it, and had to choose from the vans on the lot, but when we got in it to drive away, we noticed the floor mats that said "Anniversary Edition". We looked at each other and said "happy anniversary". It was our 39th wedding anniversary that day. I think we chose the right one. We drove it back home to WV, after hanging out in Ocala for a week, to break it in, and are now thrilled with it. I hope it gives us the same great service that our previous Town and Country vans have. Thank you, Mark, for making our bad experience turn into a good one.

I would HIGHLY recommend both of them.I went in nervous to look at a car due to the fact that I have had some terrible experiences before at other dealerships but from the first moment I met Will and John I felt at ease. They went above and beyond to see that I was comfortable and well taken care of. I ended up going in three days in a row but I did not mind because they truly wanted to help me. They both listened to my needs and wants and never pushed anything I didn't want (like a gold car) knowing that I didn't have much to work with that would fit my needs. I never once felt pressured. When we arrived for our appointment John had the beautiful car out front for a special entrance (reallynice touch). We got a full once over of the features from John even before we went in to discuss the sales price. After a test drive and successful agreement on our purchase we went back out for more education. John also called a week after our purchase (first time this has ever happened) to make sure we were happy and answered a couple of questions with continued friendliness.. John also mailed an item back to our house we had mistakenly left in the car. We don't want to forget Kevin in the Finance dept. He made all the paperwork painless and we actually had a good time. We have since after a week decided to purchase additional warranty and Kevin made this quite easy.Even though we took a bit of a drive to go to Ocala it was worth the trip. Nice people, nice facility, but poor workmanship. I took my 2013 Dodge Journey SXT in because the SiriusXM radio portion of the UConnect wasn't working. Well, after sitting there for three hours I was told that "the radio is broken and we have to order another one". DUH!!!! Of course it's broke! That's why I'm here! It took you three hours to figure that out?!..and even though I was showing that I was very angry they continued to be very understanding and professional. So they ordered a new UConnect and a week later I went back to have it changed out. This visit was much shorter, 1 1/2 hours, but on my way home I discovered that 4 of my climate control buttons no longer worked! So here again I had to schedule another appointment to have that fixed. My third visit was even quicker, one hour, and I was told that the problem was that some pins were bent. What kind of techs do you have that can't even do something as simple as change out a radio without screwing it up?! Now for the issue that Phillips Chrysler has no control over. During my visits I had them look at my transmission. It shifts rough between the first couple of gears and shakes when decelerating and downshifting. They said that everything checks out fine and that it's normal. It's pretty sad that my old 2001 Chevy Silverado with 200,000 miles, that I traded in for this engineering garbage, shifted smoother than this!! It's really sad that Dodge has come to this. My last Dodge was a 1984 Ramcharger that I miss dearly. I'll never by another Chrysler product. So in conclusion, nice facility, nice people, poor workmanship, and unfortunately selling crappy engineered vehicles.

I purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from this dealership in 2014. I asked that they install a brake controller for this vehicle since I tow a trailer that requires one. 4 attempts and they could not get it working. There was no power going to the controller. I questioned this as I had a factory brake controller harnesss for this vehicle that they installed for me. . I was ultimately told that the vehicle was incapable of having a brake controller installed because there was no settings to turn it on in the computer . I brought the jeep to another dealer and they had it working in 30mins. The replaced the harness because Philips technicians cut and rewired the factory harness to attempt to get it to work. And they installed the proper fuse in the fuse block. Philips missed a simple step such as this and cut a factory harness as a solution?Now I bring the jeep in to have the passenger side Daytime running lamp replaced because only the drivers side is illuminated during the day and I am told that is by design? It was working before but now the service writer Brian Brown tells me that only one light is supposed to be on and that the 2011 Grand Cherokee is not equipped with DRLs . Well what iis it? Not equipped or not operating correctly? This I found interesting because Clark in parts confirmed that the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is equipped with DRLs and even gave the service code. PHILIPS... You need to get people that know the product you sell. Your employees do a great disservice to a business you are trying to operate. I will start doing business elsewhere with knowledgeable people.

First and foremost this is the WORST place I ever had my car serviced! While I was out of town last February, my 2011 Jeep Patriot got a leak in the transmission cooler and got me stranded 80 miles from home. Since it happen on a Sunday February 15, 2015 at 6pm, there was no rent a car place that is open. This opted me to stay on a hotel and pay $124 out of pocket plus a $10 tip for the person who towed my car. I was hoping to hear from the dealership within the next day before lunch since they open early on Mondays. I waited till 10am but no call. Then I called and left a voicemail to at least have somebody pick me up in the hotel so I can have information about my car. No call back receive until 4pm even after numerous call to them and asking for the front desk to have someone pick me up. The front desk apparently said that I need to connect with the service advisor first before I can be pickup. But James Garvin apparently have no time to call me back to let me know what should I do next or have someone to at least pick me up and brought me to the nearest car rental. I called Chrysler service center and told them about the situation. They too cant contact anyone from the service center. That is so freaking ridiculous! They advice me to get a car rental. So I went online to book a car rental for 5 days(Since I dont have any idea how long will my car get fix). I walk to the nearest budget in Ocala and got myself a car rental. Then alas, I receive a call from James Garvin telling me about the situation of my car. He mention they have Enterprise car rental. But of course it is now too late. I went to meet him and he told me that he would talk to budget and see if they could workout with budget. Well when I took my car apparently I should email Chrysler and get myself reimburse for the car rental. The problem with it is that the car rental was much expensive($138.67) and Chrysler could only reimburse me $70 in total. This dealer apparently doesn't have customer service. I did not want a good or great customer service but just a customer service and they cant even provide one. If you are working as a service advisor you should be snappy enough to be able to see from the paperwork or in the system that the person who owns the car is out of this town(ocala)? and if you are the front desk and you receive the call for the same person 5times for the past 3hours would you not get the attention of the service advisor? I wish they would evaluate their service...

Lets face it people... we all read reviews, and are cautious about places that have negative ones... but everyone in every profession has bad days... so I will encourage you to read my review and give the dealership a shot at your business...I think you'll be happy you did...I am writing to express my gratitude towards the sales staff, particularly Lou D. and David H. After speaking with Lou throughout the day Sunday 04-19-2015, he took, and sent multiple extra photos and provided lots of additional information on a truck prior to taking the trip up to the dealership. After a long day of driving, due to me going to the wrong dealership, I finally got to Phillip's. After Lou put in a little over time, I drove away in my 2008 Ram! After the sale the next day Lou located an extra key for the truck and mailed it me which has saved me the hassle and money of having one made! I honestly didnt think this kind of customer service was still out there.After coming to an agreement on the sale of the truck, David H. was very efficient in getting, and explaining all the paper work, as well as helping with the transfer of my tag/registration! I have purchased more than 20 various kinds of vehicles over the years, most from different dealerships throughout the state. To say the least I am very impressed with the high level of professionalism, knowledge and willingness to assist my family in the purchase of this truck! So, from the Snow family, we Thank You! Well when i first walked into the doors i was met by a very kind and enthusiastic gentle men named JD.He sat with me and we went over what i was looking for then we golf carted the entire lot and he showed me the trucks that met the details of what i was looking for after a test drive we sat down and negotiated a very fair price. After a bit of paperwork he then introduced me to one of his finance guys.This gentlemen's name was Kevin Roberts,he was very super nice and new his job very well,after what seemed to be a short time we had concluded our business.After that i had realized that my truck was not equipped with a trailer hitch(an over site on my part) The General manager John Cherry had come to congratulate me on my purchase and i brought up that i had overlooked the trailer hitch,he said not to worry that he would get my hitch and have it installed at no extra charge.I have purchased many of new vehicles and i have never had such an AMAZING experience. Such a wonderful and energetic business.I look forward to doing more business with them in the future. Thanks to the staff at Phillips Chrysler.

Horrible scamming dealership when it comes to used vehicles. Mask problems rather than replacing parts and fixing the issues. They lie and tell you the vehicle is repaired when in fact it isn't. BUYER BEWARE.

Phillips CJD has a new, BEAUTIFUL facility that adds class to the experience of car searching. There was a wide assortment of available vehicles on the lot. The clean, open, and peaceful atmosphere of the new building was further complimented by the highest level of integrity in service I've ever gotten during a big purchase. It honestly felt like Otto (the salesman who assisted me) was working to make me happy, not to make a sell. I'll tell you what I told him: I've NEVER enjoyed purchasing a vehicle before this recent experience. With Phillips CJD and Otto my purchase was completed quickly and without any of the notorious and expected haggling over price. I got a good price for my trade-in and, more excitingly, I got the car of my dreams for a very fair price! Thanks to Phillips CJD and thanks to Otto!

Received an offer for my current vehicle in the mail. Came in to trade in my vehicle and purchase another model. Inquired online to verify the price of the new vehicle prior to coming to the dealership. Offer for my trade was the same that I received in the mail and the Internet pricing was consistent as well. Was able to purchase custom Jeep accessories as well. They have a good stock since they partner with the Ocala Jeep Club locally. Very friendly service in a new dealership. I would recommend this store to others.

I have bought many cars in my life and i am going to buy many more, but I will NEVER buy another car from Phillips Chrysler. I looked at a car they had advertised, it was a 2001 Volkswagen Passat with 49,000 miles. It looked real good. They said it was checked over and was in mint condition. I got sucked in and bought it. When the salesman was helping me load my belongings into it, the glove compartment door fell off and onto the floor. When I went to put some items in the trunk, I found that the latch was broken and the trunk lid would not lock. This is mint condition I asked the salesman. There is no way on earth this car was checked out by their service dept. That wasn't the best part. I took it home and drove it to work the next morning, it was about 38 degrees that morning and guess what...NO HEAT! I drove it to the dealer and told them what a lemon I was sold and they said they would fix everything. When they found out that the heater core was going to cost $3000.00 they said they weren't going to fix it. Not once did I speak to a manager, they ran my sales person around like a monkey to try to pacify my anger at them. They have a slogan at this dealership..."Don't leave till you see Steve"! Steve being Steve Treadway the general manager. I never saw Steve, he must have been hiding from me. Liars one and all. Anyway, they decided it would be good practice to trade me out of that bomb and put me in another car. That "trade out" cost me another $2500.00 above and beyond what they already robbed me for. It was a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Another mint condition, checked out by service beauty. All started well and I thought I was set. I then made the mistake of going back and buying a brand new Dodge Dart from them for my wife. Then 1 week after buying the Dart, the Pacifica started to go south. I found a lake under my front passenger mat. Then the tire service system light started going on and off and the finale was the transmission would not shift into the overdrive gear. It rumbled like a hungry bear and just wouldn't shift. I brought it back and they told me it would cost me $95.00 to diagnose the problems, then who knows how much more money they would drain from my wallet! I said no way and goodbye to that dealership. I only wish this had happened before I bought the new car. I would never have given them my business for the Dart. I was a returning customer and they treated me like dirt. Their used cars are the worst and they do not do what they say they do to them before they hit the lot. All they do is an oil change a detail and check the lights. If you are looking for a good reliable used car PLEASE don't go to Phillips. All I got from them was a loss of $5500.00 for 2 lemons. I was especially disappointed at the management that didn't speak to me once during this entire fiasco. They will never see me again and I will do my best to keep anyone else from buying a car there. I will not even have the new car service there, I will bring it to another Dodge dealer. Nice going Steve!

I wasn't at all impressed with the treatment we got at Phillips. We stopped at their lot to look at trucks, and pulled up in front of the building. Neither of the guys standing by the front door welcomed us, or offered to help. I don't enjoy having a salesman follow me around, so at first I didn't mind their inattentiveness. We walked around the lot and no one approached us. Odd, but still not an issue. We couldn't find the truck we were looking for (a base model Ram Express, with manual windows and locks), so we went inside to see if they might have one at another lot. The salesman inside didn't seem to know what to do, and said that the sales manager would have to check their stock. He made it seem like this was an inconvenience, but eventually went and asked. He came back and said that the Ram Express didn't come with manual windows and lock. We told him that they most certainly do, and that we had just seen one at another lot earlier that day. He then responded that if we liked the truck was saw elsewhere, then we should probably "go for that one". We took his advice and left; we won't be going back anytime soon.

Went their to look at a Dodge dart. I was walking on the lot looking at the cars they had and was approached by a very pushy sales person. He asked what I was buying several times and when I told him I was "looking" he passed me his card and left said if I wanted to buy to come find him??? What kind of customer service was that?? He went back to the front of the store and was more interested in his cell phone and his cigarette, then talking to me. I was so discussed as to how I was treated. It's amazing they sell any cars with that attitude. I don't remember the sales person name bc after he "flipped" me his card I threw it on the lot. Very dissatisfied by their approach and customer service.

Because this review is so negative, I would prefer to leave out specific names of individuals involved, but because it's a required field, I guess I have to. Quick Summary: What took four (4!) days at Phillips and eventually failed to sell me a new Jeep that I didn't want took three (3) hours at Bill Bryan and got me exactly what I wanted. Phillips stonewalled and passed me around from salesman to salesman because the margins on a Jeep are so low, no one wanted to sell one to me. Juicy Details: I went in to Phillips looking for a new Jeep. I was on the lot for almost half an hour, left for a while, then returned and no one ever came to help. Eventually a salesman did jog out of the building exclaiming his surprise that I had not been assisted. This is the man I would "work" with for the next several days which would, eventually, end without a car. Initially, this guy seemed like a straight-shooter, if a little lazy and uniformed about the product, but I worked with him. He tried to sell me a black Jeep, which I didn't want. Insisting it was a great deal because it was the last 2012 (it was a 2013, and therefor everything he said about it was either a lie or simple ignorance), we took a test drive and I told him I would return the next day to move the deal forward. I wanted a specific color and package and he said it would be no problem to find it and do a dealer trade. Great. I did not want to black one. No problem. The next day I came back and no one could find the salesman. They called him. They called his cell. After I had been milling around the lot for half an hour, he came jogging up, saying that he had been "busy." We went to his office to do some paperwork on my trade in. He muttered something about someone trying to steal his deal--friendly guys. When they took my car to value the trade-in, this is where the insanity really began. A salesman drove it, screaming across the lot (it's a sports car). Then had a mother and daughter looking for a new car get in it! It was my car! They were trying to sell a car they didn't own. I was shocked. I was also terrified when they took it out onto the open road. God knows what they did to it. Back in the office, the salesman I had been working with for days was frantic because some facet of a deal more important than mine had fallen through and he said, "Do you mind if I give you to someone else to work with?" And he handed me off to the worst kind of salesman imaginable. A greasy little high-pressure sleaze that knew nothing about what I wanted. Indeed, he had been told that I was looking for the black Jeep they had on the lot and had been trying to push on me for days. In fact, they had already done a lot of paperwork to try to push me in that direction. I saw this guy literally sprint out into the lot to outrun another salesman and descend on a potential buyer. I had also heard him tell an old man that there was "0-interest for 72 months" on all the cars on the lot. That was a straightforward bait-and-switch lie. The internet exists. Smartphones are right there telling the truth while these guys lie through their teeth. Someday, they will have to learn that they have to stop with these tactics. He said, "We are gonna put you in a beautiful black Wrangler today!" I cringed. He offered an obscenely low amount for my trade in. I told him that even in the worst of condition it would be worth more. He said in his odd accent, "Where you get these numbers? The Kelly Blue Book?" I said yes. He said "The professionals like me we no use the Kelly Blue Book." You don't? Don't you use a combination of all the valuations to come up with a fair price? He said "We know the right price because we are the professionals." Infuriated, I walked out. That night I wrote an email to the salesman and the sales manager explaining how bad my experience had been. The salesman wrote back in an unpunctuated pigin English that he would make it right. The sales manager wrote back with another slurry of unfounded numbers and promises. He said "Come back and we can put you in that black Jeep tomorrow." Last I checked, the black Jeep was still sitting in the lot. The one I wanted came from Bill Bryan and it's sitting in my driveway.
