I'm currently on my 3rd leased V-dub from Preston Volkswagen. Thinking back to my first experience walking in I was sceptical and prepared for a complete mental beat down. However we were quickly welcomed to the dealership by Chad Boofer who was very chill and knew everything about their line up answered every question we had with ease, even the curveballs I threw at him I couldn't stump him. I came to Preston Motors looking to lease a Jetta. Bob Bezzaro showed me the car that I leased within the next two days. I was happy with the whole leasing process. The sales manager was friendly and easy to help me reach a deal to lease the Jetta. I was fast traked through the process on my second visit to Preston Motors. The lady who completed the paperwork for the car was pleasant and swift to complete a pile of forms necessary to complete the lease. My wife and I had a very positive and enjoyable experience with Bob and the Preston Volkswagen of Boardman group. We did not originally plan to lease a Volkswagen vehicle. When we compared similar car types at different dealerships, we found that the Passat had the space and comfort that we were looking for. Bob and the crew at Preston were very knowledgeable and friendly and answered all the questions we had during the process. As an added bonus, we were able to lease the vehicle at a lower cost than quoted at other dealerships. The showroom was clean and comfortable, the people were very nice and helpful, and the completion process was very smooth. Bob was particularly helpful and personable. This was my second purchase from Preston VW. My sales consultant was Bob Bezzarro, very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions/concerns, explained/showed every option the vehicle came with, got the price I desired, and not once did I ever feel "pressured" to buy. The dealership has changed over the years and it's now been transformed into a clean, organized, and a welcoming place to get into a new car. The service department is top shelf. I went to Preston Volkswagen looking for a used car deal. Upon entering the dealership Brandon met us with a warm greeting and handshake. The whole process was easy and painless, from Brandon through meeting with Christine in Finance. I drove off the lot in a Toyota Corolla that was in mint condition. I leased my 2013 VW Jetta back on July 3rd of 2013 and absolutely love it. I have had no issues with it and would & have recommended others. The service department has been very good and has completed my oil changes in a timely manner each time I have taken it in. The personal there are extremely friendly & very helpful. Chad Boofer was very helpful & polite with things I didn't understand, he took his time with me and didn't let me leave until I understood all information concerning my lease. Very nice salesman. I've heard horror stories of having vehicles serviced by dealerships, but my fear was put to rest with the experience I had with Preston Volkswagen. Barry, Mike and Jason were all extremely easy to work with and did a great job of making sure I was well taken care of and understood my vehicle's needs. The waiting area was stocked with coffee, hot chocolate, a variety of teas and also had a selection of snacks. The wi-fi is a little slow, but not terrible for what you expect out of public wi-fi. I would definitely recommend Preston Volkswagen for service and will for sure be heading back when I'm ready to purchase my next vehicle.

The group of employees working at VW of Boardman make it easy to come in, feel welcomed and see all the options available - whether that be getting a new car or refinancing to my old one. Chad Boofer was very helpful along with the help of Mason Angelo to get me into a newer car. They listened to what I want and found me a car to get in. Although the price was a little high from what I was comfortable paying, I still took the deal in hopes of the gas mileage saving and counter balancing the difference in price.

We love our Jetta and had a great experience with our salesman, Brandon. We liked Brandon's style--he was honest, nice, and laidback--not pushy or fake. He tried to make us happy during every step of the process and gave us plenty of time to think about our purchase. Also, Christina was wonderful in explaining the loan and insurance options. She was really great to work with. Our only negative was in dealing with Brandon's manager when trying to negotiate the final sale and we were just asking for three simple things (at low or no cost to the dealership), only one of which he would agree to.. In all, we chose to move past that and focus on the positives--great car, fairly decent price, and Brandon and Christina went above and beyond in making us happy and explaining everything to us.

I am an experienced car buyer, and I usually expect to deal with annoying salesmen, a hard sell, and playing games with prices. I was pleasantly surprised to find none of that at Preston VW. We had a great experience at Preston motors! We came in later in the day, the staff never missed a beat arranging our car purchase as quickly and efficiently a possible. Estevan took extra time to show us all the features in the car, and he activated the features in the car that we needed activated. He also filled our tank, cleaned up the car, and offered us refreshments, and cared about the pinch we were in when our phones died. He took extra time to find a compatible charger and charged them for us!! He was awesome to work with. Christina handled our financing. She was super organized, had everything ready to go. She was knowledgeable about each form she was asking us to sign and had a lot of knowledge on warranty packages! Preston Motors also arranged for us to drive multiple cars on different lots and brought the cars to us. Hands down, the easiest way to purchase a car. They had great financing options and gave us a great deal on our new VW!

my wife DIANE and I enjoyed interacting with Braydon and Mike who were very personable,knowledgeable and forthright in responding to our questions. this kind of respect goes a long way. Ultimately we were satisfied a deal was accomplished to our and the dealerships benefit.We found the limited edition passat to be a very good value. We were able to get the features important to us and didnt have to pay for items we did not value. More often than not that is unusual. this was our fourth consecutive Passat and each one keeps getting better while the prices have remained virtually the same.

Prior to our purchase, we've visited over 10 different dealership with different brands in over 5 different cities. Ultimately, we returned to Preston VW because we were impressed with both the service and the price in comparison to other dealerships. Everyone was friendly, understanding and not at all pushy or overbearing. We made the hour trek to Preston after being contacted by them after filling out an on-line credit app. Chad was our salesman. After telling him what type of vehicle we were looking for, once he found out our financing limits brought out the Outlander. We took it for a drive and at the 1st stop the brake pedal felt like it was going to the floor! Chad seemed un-concerned and attributed it to the diff feel of vehicle pedals and assured me there was nothing wrong with the brakes as they do a 127 point inspection on their vehicles. Upon finishing the test drive the brakes seemed to stop the car adequetly. After purchasing the car, on the way home the back brake started grinding when used. Made it home and called the next day as they were closed already, left a message as Chad was outside and heard nothing back. Called monday and Chad transfered me to service and we had to make another 95 mile round trip to Preston. Service dept. was excellent, replaced back right pads, no cost but never heard if the other 3 wheels were checked. I have 3 problems with Preston 1) once they found out our financing constrants they should've said ok, we can put you in X, Y, or Z vehicles as they have a 500+ car inventory. 2) After coming home and looking up the vehicle on KBB, I think we overpayed but that is our fault as we were in a bind and need a vehicle. 3) I also believe we got alot less for our trade than we should've. Again the KBB value was more than we got and that won't happen again. Overall, I have been driving 41 years and when I say the pedals going to the floor, I mean it any 127 point inspection should include checking the brakes and no one looked at the back brakes. The service dept. and Christina were excellent. She answered any questions I had and explained how to continue to improve our credit history. So, in a year or so when we are ready to move up in a vehicle, I will not rule out Preston for those reasons and for their huge vehicle inventory. My wife and I really liked the VW Bug, we got to look at the showroom cars real good as we were there 4 hours!

I received a call from Mr Anderson about Volkswagen's trade in deals. I wasn't really looking to get into a new car but thought I'd check out the deals. To my surprise, I was not only able to get into a new car but I was able to get into a much needed larger car with awesome extra features at great price that accommodates my budget! I'm very impressed with the whole Volkswagen experience and I highly recommend Volkswagen to everyone!

Great experience, I researched the several cars, the VW Passat TDI being one of them. We decided on the Passat and contacted this dealer with our request. They found the car we wanted, exterior color & interior color. We handled all the paperwork over the phone and email, then they met me half way to sign the papers. Bought certified preowned gti...didnt recieve spare key or hatch cover...wipers were junk nothing was done to the standards of a preowned..i was unaware at time of purchase these were required to be there....had to call vw direct and still fought for months to get a key...owner wouldnt pay to program key or give me what else i deserved..what a joke

I was looking for a relatively uncommon VW. I called every VW dealer in a 6 hour radius from my house. I have had servicing done on my 2003 Jetta TDi wagon in the past and the work was fine. Recently, I was due for a 110,000 servicing and scheduled an appointment. I had planned to use a dealer issued discount coupon, but the service tech said that it had just expired and wouldn't honor it, so I down graded to a regular oil change. It told the tech that water was flooding into the rear passenger floor board and asked if the mechanic could take a look at the problem as the water accumulation was significant. The tech said that it would be a minimum charge of 2 hours just to take a look which seemed very excessive. After the oil was changed the tech offered to have the vehicle washed which caused more water to flood into the rear passenger floor board making the problem worse. After a couple of days I go a follow up call to rate my service experience as the agent said that the owner is very interested in maintaining high ratings. It has been a couple of weeks and no contact from the dealer.

I was looking for a used Mountaineer and found one on line at Preston VW. I contacted Chad Boofer who showed me the vehicle for a test drive. All during my experience with Chad I felt no sales pressure or attempt to do so. That was refreshing. Chad was a down to earth kind of guy and I enjoyed my experience with him. I offered a purchase price and was given a counter offer by the sales manager, but again, I felt no pressure. My wife and I decided the offer made by Preston was fair and I accepted. It is a nice vehicle and a nice price. I will definitely check in with them the next time I am looking for a good car.

I arrived at the dealership to be greeted by a friendly staff. I brought my 2012 Jetta in for its 40k service. The service was going to take around three hours which I was planning to stay at the dealer. They offered me a shuttle home and I took advantage of this. They where short handed but the service manager Jay took me home himself. When my vehicle was finished I received a phone call from Jay and he offered me to pay over the phone and bring my car to me at home! Instead of sitting at the dealer for three hours on my day off I got to relax at home! I got my vehicle back washed and sweeped out. Jay made sure I understood the services that where done on my vehicle including the transmission service. I just want to say thank you for an amazing experience at Preston VW ! Keep up the good work! And the commercials don't lie when they say YOU COME FIRST!!!!!

I'd like to start off with Bob Bezzarro, Estevan Suarez, and Christina Showers are all top notch employees and go the extra mile. And if u go to Preston vw of Boardman see Bob or Estevan for sales. And Christina is financial manager and makes all the paper work fast and simple. But the service side of this dealership is just so bad that's why I'm giving it 1 star. I have 3 Volkswagens an 84 rabbit, 09 GTI and 11 Jetta tdi used. I got the 11 Jetta still under warranty and also got the extended 5yr/60K miles. A few months after I got it the driver seat started to make a squeaking noise every time I would xxxx gears or look over my shoulder to change lanes. I took it to the dealership to see what the issue was. They "fixed" the issue by raising the seat. Then that didn't even last. So after a while of just dealing with it a bolt that folds the seat to the seat frame came out. So now the seat rocks like a wobbly chair and squeaks all the time. Took it back to service, they tried to tell me I didn't have warranty and that it's just wear and tare. So then I showed them my warranty and they said they will see what they could do. 4 weeks later didn't hear anything. Went back in to talk said the rep would be in in a few days, it's now been 7 days still nothing. So normal wear and tare I don't think so. I've had 8 Volkswagens none of them had this problem. And a 25,000 car should not have this problem. And on top of all of this a new frame cost 550 not including the labor. And the new frame may or may not fix the problem.

I purchased a 2013 Golf TDI Sep. 2013, and with 13,300 miles on the car it got its first CEL. At 13,500 miles Preston "attempted" to fix the issue. Right of the bat Jayson Morris was confrontational and accusing that I had did something to cause the problem. For two hours he and a tech looked for someway to blame an aftermarket intake or some kind of my wrong doing to void the warranty and force me to cover cost of simply forcing a regeneration of the DPF, a known and common issue among 2.0CR TDI 2009-14 models. After they were done they said they had found a clamp "misaligned" and that it had caused the issue. Me being an A&P Aircraft Mechanic for a major airline, this seemed very unlikely so I asked them to show me which clamp they claimed was the issue. They preceded to show me a clamp deep in the rear engine bay connecting the turbo inlet to the lower induction tubing, about a foot after the MAF. The next day the CEL came back. I scheduled the car back in a Preston for the next day and returned at 13,700 miles. As soon as I got out of my car (carrying my three month old son) Jayson Morris called me into his office. He then showed me a picture he had stalked, and taken from my personal Instagram and said that the picture of an APR intake (which it's from the MAF forward only, nowhere near the clamp they claim was an issue) was the cause of the issue and he was voiding all warranties on my car, flagging it so other dealers would also refuse it, and banning me from Preston VW for life. I contacted VW of America and the assured me that no warranty was voided and that he was wrong for his actions, but only suggested that I use another dealer.

The service manager refused service on 2013 Volkswagen with 14000 miles d/t personal reasons. Refused to even diagnose the problem leaving my service engine light on a second time in 200 miles after failing to fix it the first time. I'm a single mother with a three month old son now I have to drive my vehicle 45 minutes each way to have my car serviced and hope that it doesn't break down in the meantime. I paid $30000 locally so I could have these issues addressed locally and not have to worry about engine issues at all, or being stranded. I'm truly disappointed how this manner was handled so unprofessionally and that the dealership lets this go on. I was trying to keep my money local and support a good a good business I've never had previous problems with until now. I truly hope no one has to go through what I am, and that there are a few dealerships out there that actually stand behind the name that they are paid to represent. One Distressed Mother

I first saw the Cadillac online. Preston VW's price was better than any comparable SUV on either Cars.com, Cargurus, Autotrdaer or MSN Autos. In fact, the price I paid was the Preston's online price; however, the price was not only fair, but was better than other SRX's online and these had more mileage and did not have anywhere near the same amount of options. Braydon called me a couple of times to set up an appointment The SRX that I purchased was just as described and in great condition. Braydon and AJ (Finance Manager) offered me a fair price for my trade inadn the deal was done within an hour. Upon compelting the paperwork, one of the technicians broke my glove compartment while detailingthe car. Braydon was not only honest about it but ahd a new one within the week at the dealerships expense. I had a perfect buying experience with Preton VW (unlike many other dealerships that I have dealt withinthe past) and I would highly recommend Braydon and all the staff at Preston VW if your considering buying a new or used car.Brad E.

I was called in less than 10 minutes after submitting a request for information on the site. I looked at 5 other dealers which took 12+ hours to get back to me. So A+ on fast, courteous call!The finance team worked hard to get me financed, and I was approved. Very appreciative of the efforts they put in! A++Communication was always quick. Questions were answered, concerns addressed and overall very excellent experience.I'm now driving a 2012 Jetta TDI thanks to Mike and his team. Went through truecar.com and the entire new car shopping experience was awesome. The staff go out of their way to make sure you are happy and the fact there was no haggling on price was a welcomed experience for me. I just wanted to say that both my husband and myself are very pleased with the whole process of buying our new car. Mike was very nice and down to earth not overbearing and fake like most salesmen are. He was professional and helpful and showing me how to operate the features in the car. He is very in tuned to what his customers want, He was there to answer questions and kept us informed of where we were at in the process but he didn't bug us which we really liked. We have told everyone that your store is the best experience that we have ever had buying a car. Also I think it was Christina that worked with us in finance dept. I learned this dealership through Truecar.com. After I filled out the online form on Turecar.com, they contacted me immediately and offered me a competitive price compared with other dealers. I kept contacting them via email. They worked as a team, a strong team as I would say. After reaching a reasonable price, I drove for an hour to their office and signed the purchasing documents right after test driving. All the employees I met were friendly and professional. I was surprised the owner even greeted me when I was there. I highly recommend Preston to VW lovers in northeast Ohio.

I could not have been treated better. Both Bobby, Chad and Christina were wonderful. I got more for my trade in than I expected and ended up with a beautiful, trouble-free car. I went into the dealership to get advice on when the best time would be to trade in my 2004 car and within just a short time, I was approved for a loan, at a price that I could afford, and drove home in a new car. I had been to another dealer a few years ago and had not been treated with as much respect and care as I was at Preston. I would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone who was looking for a great car at a great price. It was truly a pleasure to work with all the employees. Each and every one was friendly, helpful and willing to do whatever necessary to make sure my buying experience was a good one.

I did extensive reseach on 2013 GTIs; I was willing to travel within a 100mi radius of my home in Elizabeth Twp. PA. Preston VW had by far the best price on exactly what I was looking for (4dr, white, w/DSG trans). The car was even better optioned than I was looking for, and the price was still better than their competitors. Mike Anderson and Christina Showers were wonderful to deal with, and bringing the car back for paint/fabric protection application was also hassle free.

Talked with Doug Melidona prior to visiting and he made sure that he would do whatever he could to get me the car I wanted. Upon arrival I was greeted with Respect and Friendliness. Doug is a great go from the start and I want to give him great credit for what he did for me. The entire staff was friendly and warm. We most definitley would reccomend Preston to others. We were given great customer service, both before and after purchase. I know that we probably were not the easiest to work with, but this team were dynamic. We have had our purchase for less than a week now, but can say pleased with the deal that was put together. Overall, I would say that based on the service we had, we would be a returning customer in the future. That issaying a lot, since we live 1 1/2 hours away from this dealer! My old Ford died on me and I was stuck without a car. I went to Preston VW to look at the 2013 Jettas. Mike was helpful and not pushy, there was no pressure. He found the model and trim I was looking for and I took it for a test drive. They didn't have the color I wanted but he was able to find it at another dealership and got it to me very quickly (only took 1 day). Mike was knowledgeable about the car; he help me set it up and showed me where all the settings were and how to connect my phone via Bluetooth.The finance process was quick and painless. They were able to get me a good deal at a good rate even with my not so good credit. They were also very helpful in getting me out of my current loan and taking my broken Ford as a trade in to pay it off.

Initially met by Mike Anderson,with a very bright smile and an enthusiastic,"May I help you?" to driving off the lot in a new VW following a hand shake and message ,"You are now a part of the Preston family" my experience was handled with the desire to "make me feel comfortable". Found a 2012 VW Passat TDI I wanted on EBay with your dealership. It sold out from underneath us. Mike did everything he could to not only get us a Passat, but a 2013 with everything we wanted (minus the dual climate control, not his fault) for the payment we could afford. Friendly, helpful, great experience! We drove 3 hours (one way) because our local dealer just wasn't aggressive enough and communications lacked. Only disappointment was not with the dealership, but with VW making the TDI SEL ($4000 upgrade) to have dual climate when the 2012 TDI SE offered it. (bummer) My husband was not a huge fan of VW, after the 3+ hour drive home, he gave the experience and the vehicle a 9 out of 10!! Thanks Preston VW! I purchased my car and within 2 weeks the check engine light came on the service department have been very gracious with fixing my car. I just keep having problems though. They fix it and within days the light comes back on. I live on the other side of mahoning county an it takes time and gas to take it there. We were interested in a vw beetle and drove to Preston Volkswagen after searching other car lots and seeing used vw beetles they were not worth what they were asking for, (high mileage). We drove around the parking lot were we saw a 2010 vw, So we stopped in and the staff was all so nice, The sales person who helped us was extremely nice Doug Melidona, we went on a test drive he answered any and all questions that we had, When we got back to Preston his hospitality was greatly appreciated! Never once did he make us feel pressured, when it came down to the paper work he explained everything to us, When we were approved he made sure the car was cleaned once more and before we left he made sure we knew where every button, controls etc,was.He followed up with us a couple days later to see if everything was ok and how we were enjoying the beetle, If you are looking for a sales person with great personality and wonderful people skills when buying a car stop in and talk to Doug Melidona!!!!! We bought a 2010 Jetta TDI (new) a few years ago, but with all of the deals presented to us, and the need for a little more room, we decided to look at the Passat...which we ended up purchasing. Both Chad and Estevan were great! Extremely friendly and didn't make us feel pressured into buying a new vehicle, since they both knew that we were just there to look. We also were very impressed that Mike came by to introduce himself since he was the one we were emailing along with Chad, and Christina's information and friendliness with the papework....not to mention when the owner stopped by more than once to talk with us. Purchasing a car from Chad Boofer was the best experience I have ever had.He made sure that I drove the car, knew it's history, performance features,safety features and what mileage to expect. Mike Anderson, the finance manager obtained the best interest rateavailable for my used car loan. He expedited the loanprocess as fast as possible. Mike was also very explicited in explaining the termsof the sale and loan. Rick Giordana runs a class operation at Preston Volkswagon in Boardman.I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.

I contacted Preston Volkswagen the night before my visit to schedule time to meet with someone. I was contacted right away by Doug. I drove an 1.5 hrs because i was not able to find what i was looking for in Cleveland. My visit was great. Everyone was very nice and normal. No pushy sales. When it came down to numbers, we were able to work out a great deal fairly quickly. They had acutally been closed for an hour or by the time I drove off the lot. I will definatly be coming back desipte the long drive!

I had been looking for a used VW GTI for months when I saw one that met my requirements (color, miles, transmission...) pop up on the dealer website. So I drove over on a Saturday to take a look at it. The dealership was extremely busy, but I was waited on as if I was the only customer there. When I arrived, the GTI wasn't at the dealership but at the detailing shop - no problem, they said. They made a call and had a guy drive it right back to the dealer for me. The overall experience at this dealer was outstanding. They really seemed to meet everything I requested. I wanted to donate my old car to charity instead of trade it in - no problem, they said. They let me leave it on the lot so the charity could come pick it up there. They even came down on price a little, even though the car I was buying was already a bargin and wouldn't last long. A couple times I was left in an office while an employee went to run some numbers, but other employees would stop by to chit chat so I wouldn't be sitting around alone. Great! The whole process was fast, smooth, and painless. I have no complaints whatsoever. It's obvious this dealership is a step above the rest.

Doug and Chad were both very helpful and patient throughout my car buying process! When I returned Doug was with another client and Chad was more than happy to help me...they really work well as a team. I had a little bit of a hold up with my insurance company and Chad was understanding and helped me through it. Also Christina was extremely helpful and informative as well as personable. She seemed happy to have me there rather than just going through the steps and trying to hurry me along. I would definately suggest working with Chad, Doug or Christina when looking at Preston Volkswagen!

Traveled from PA to this dealership after finding a car on the internet that we were interested in. In the end we did purchase that car. This was the first dealership we'd ever dealt with that provided us with a truly enjoyable experience. Mark Boda went out of his way to explain every detail of the car we were interested in. He was courteous, knowledgable, and didn't pressure us in any way. Christina researched and obtained the best financing for us and also completed the sales agreement efficiently and quickly. We will certainly return to Preston VW when we are in the market for another vehicle.

The least painful car buying experience I have ever had. I dropped by on my lunch break, test drove the car I wanted while they appraised my trade. I went back to work while they put together a deal, negotiations were quick and done remotely, and all I had to do was come back to sign the papers. Chad and Bobby were great to deal with.

Emailed about the promotion and got contacted immediately and then wasn't let down on deals and packages that they gave me. Walked into the building and was greeted nicely and never felt like I wasn't aware of what they were offering or what I was getting into. First of all we found the Passat to be a great value. In addition it is a well balanced car. roomy but not bulky,refined clean lines,adequate responsive power and very responsive handling. I was very impressed with this young mans respect in response to our expressed wants and concerns. Having owned a Passat already made it easy to consider and buy a Volkswagen again! The staff, particularly Chad was very responsive, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Because we didn't have a lot of time, Chad and the sales team took care of us quickly and efficiently. It went so well that we bought the CC on the spot. We had came in to just test drive and compare the CC with other cars we were interested in; but we were so impressed and had no doubts, further questions or need to sleep on the decision. Bob Preston was also very helpful. We are lookinfg forward to driving our new car and hope we continue to feel as comfortable and pleased with the Volkswagen experience. In respond to the flyer sent to me about the special upgrade offer for my VW Jetta, I was curious to know about the special deal so I made the call to visit the dealership. Customer service beyond comparison of anything I have ever experienced. i am retired military and have owned over 20 cars over the past 25 years. I had been researching used VW New Beetles online for several months in preparation for an anniversary today ( Nov 19th). My wife's first car was a 1971 Beetle and with kids leaving the nest she longed for an improved Beetle as a replacement car. Friday night (16 Nov) I found THE gently used, low mileage Beetle for which I had scoured Internet car sites for months. One problem... The dealership was 500mi away (I live in Southern MD) and I was emailing them after hours hoping to figure out logistics to pickup the car within a 7 hr afternnon window of opportunity. I was on the phone with Brad Cain by 0830 Saturday morning and was signing paperwork for the Beetle in a Subway restaurant at a Travel Stop midway between Youngstown OH and my home by 4pm. The transaction was seamless, professional, expeditious, and meticulously carried out by phone, Skype, email, and courier. The Beetle was parked back in my garage in MD to be discovered this morning by my amazed and delighted wife! Fantastic job Preston VW!!! You are now my preferred dealership regardless of my address.

Was looking for months at better gas millage in a vehicle. My truck getting 16 mph around town was extremely costly and getting worse with the prices the way they are. Test drove Ford Fusion and was not satisfied with preformance. Looked at Hundi, checked out the Hibirds but batteries and price was not acceptable. Finally, I looked at VW at different dealers and was impressed with the TDI millage but was concerned about price. After spending weeks on the net researching all high millage cars it came down to taking a very hard look at Volkswagen. I checked out different V W dealers and made appointments over the net to lool at the Jetta TDI. To my surprise the individual I dealt with on the net handed me off to another sales person which I found very rude. At one dealer the internet person did not even show up and sales people were making excuses trying to fluff it off. That was the end for Bilko motors of Wexford for me.One afternoon after shopping with my wife, I decided to stop at Preston V W unanounced to look at their stock. Low and behold the individual I dealt with on the net came out and talked to my wife and myself. After discussing the Jetta, test driving and watching the millage climb to 34 mpg around Boardman, in town, I was definately impressed, especially since my truck was only getting 16 mpg around town.After returning from test drive, the sales person, Bob Bezzarro, introduced my wife amd myself to Bobby Preston, owner, who was in for the afternoon.After the four of us set down to discuss price, Bob Bezzarro learned my last name and realized we had been discussing the car on the net. To my surprise we were not handed off to any body else and was treated with respect. What a surprise compare to other dealers.We did not purchase the Jetta. My wife was extremely concerned about the cost of diesel fuel being more than gas. She was not impressed with the size of the Jetta or the ride even though I was totally impressed. Two weeks passed, I set up another test drive with the Jetta and the Passat. After driving the Passat, I personally was more impressed with it than I was with the Jetta and still my wife wanted no diesel even though being a bigger vehicle it got the same millage as the Jetta TDI, 34 mpg around town for the few miles we had it out.After another two weeks without any pressure we ended up purchaseing the Passat. My first fillup with 410 miles and only using a half a tank of fuel ended up at 39.93 mpg around town. Am I impressed, after 16 mpg in my truck around town, the millage I am getting with the Passat, the savings in fuel estimated will make the payment monthly. The friendleness, helpfulnesss, kindness and no pressuring but concern along with the Passat its self, ride, millage, comfort makes Preston the real deal to me.Frank H Boyer

I have been dealing with this location since 2005 and my experience has been a consistent pleasure. I gladly went back when we needed another Car and Bob Bezzarro is a large part of why. He just tells it the way it is and simplifies the process. Christiana was very friendly and professional when it came to the closing paperwork. New Ownership seems to favor "High-Pressue" attempts to close but I bought when I was ready and felt the deal was right. I am not writing with 'rose colored' blindness, issues come up as would anywhere, but they are fair and gracious in resolving them. All-in-all, a great place and I will return.

What a great shopping experience! Im already looking forward to purchasing my next vehicle from Mark and I just picked up my new car yesterday. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and the compassion he showed when I shed few tears as I traded in my 12 year old Beetle. I was searching for a particular color and certain options in my car search. When I went to the dealership I was greeted as soon as I arrived. Chad was very friendly and knowledgable. After telling him what I was looking for he contacted me when a car became available. It took several visits and test drives to meet all my requirements. Initially I went online to look at Volkswagen vehicles at the Preston in Boardman web site. Steve Hurtuk popped up on my screen and offered to assist me with any questions I had. He was very helpful, knowledgable, and answered all of my questions. As the vehicle was for my son, my son and I went to the dealership that evening. Steve was helping another customer as that time, so Mark kindly stepped forward to help us. Mark was awesome! He is so friendly and personable. He didn't pressure us one bit and was so easy to work with. Ultimately, we got a great deal on the vehicle, a great interest rate, and my son drove home that evening with a new GTI! He absolutely loves it! We are both very happy with the experience we had at Preston. Thanks to all of the employees for taking such great care of us.

Second VW from this location. My first was purchased under Stadium ownership and my most recent with the Preston group. I have a dealership closer however because of my great experience the first round I wanted that same great experience the second round. Bob was wonderful with my turn in of my Jetta and then the sale of my new Passat. Professional, personal, knowledgeable and listened rather than "pushed"! Overall a great experience from the team! Also they didn't have my color of choice so they went out of state the same day and had my car available that evening! Very pleased!

I stopped by two weeks ago today to look at the new Beetles on the preston VW lot. I had responded to an email from AllState in December regarding purchasing a new car and had signed a contract with Ganley VW on December 20 with the promise of the car in 90 days. I emailed March 19 and was told that there was a production hold-up and there would be 60 more days. I amailed on May 24 and never had a reply...and this is how I came to stop at Preston VW.While I was looking at the 2012 Beetle I was approached by Mark Boda. I told him that I wanted a standard shift, sunroof with leather seats and I also told him my sad story. There were no VW's on the lot other than Turbo that satisified my request but over the next week many calls and emails resulted in Preston VW's transporting a Beetle to Youngstown from Illinois. June 27 I drove my car home...in less than two weeks I got what I wanted! I am impressed with Mark, Brad and Ivano. This is my third Beetle...1966 was my first and 2000 was my second. In between I drove two BMW's. It is unfortunate that my experience with Ganley did not work out. I am hoping/expecting to receive my down-payment. Something that Preston seems to "get" is the importance of communication and satisfying the customer. I love my new car! am

The staff was extremely friendly. They helped us to find the exact car that we wanted and worked with us to create an affordable package for us. Many options were offered to us but not "pushed" on us. I felt welcome in their facility from the beginning of our experience and would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a Volkswagen!

An amazing experience! Craig Miles helped me find the car that I was looking for even when I wasn't quite sure myself. He found me something in my price range and went above and beyond to get the price even lower for me. He is a spectacular salesman who really cares about his customers. Furthermore, Bobby Preston called me to see if I had any further questions or concerns about the vehicle before I leased it. The sales manager Brad was also very helpful in making the deal happen as he was able to get me a substantial amount more for my trade that it was worth. When the dealership didn't have the EXACT car that I wanted they found it at another dealership, got it in and called me by the next afternoon. I would definately recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a fun and easy car buying or leasing experience!

I rated the employee with all 5's due the excellent treatment and customer service that I received. The dealership did not have my vehicle on the lot due to the limited availability, but Mike went above and beyond to get me a vehicle delivered when he said he would. Experience with Preston VW was very good. The people were friendly. I tried getting financed at a bunch of different dealerships and they couldn't get me financed. I was lied to at other dealerships about being approved. Chad and Cristina were very patient and hard working. At the end of the day I drove out of the dealership with a car that I am very happy with.

What a great group! They offered the deal I wanted and followed up with a personal call from the owner. Had lots of problems finding just what i wanted by myself as i was calling dealership after dealership to find exactly what i wanted. Then I called Chad who kept in touch with me from a prior visit to get a GTI. I returned his phone call and a short time later i promptly got a call back with Great news. Chad informed me that Bob Bezzarro had tracked down the exact model and features i wanted and worked with that dealership and got it for me. Plus they provided a free rental for the day it took to get the car which made everything more convenient. I couldn't have been treated any better then the way i was treated by the entire staff. Preston Volkswagen has a nice, Knowledgable, and helpful staff that really impressed me. By all means I could not say the same about Billco motors or Ganley volkswagen, But thanks to Chad and Bob and the rest of the employees who do wonderful work at Preston Volkswagen, I wouldn't have the smile on my face every time i look and drive my new 2012 GTI!! I was a first time car buyer with no knowledge of the process. On top of my inexperience, I had to find a car and drive it off the lot all in one day. Mike Anderson of Preston Volkswagen was up to the challenge. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable-- as was the staff at Preston. He was very patient with my family and I as we test drove several cars and sifted through the paperwork. Knowing my time constraints, Mike could have sent me off with just about any car but he made sure we found the right fit for my lifestyle and needs. I had made initial contact with Mike through the dealership's website and he was very personable and set me up with Chad to help me find the right car. At first, we had a tough time finding the right car for me, but they ended up getting a hold of me the next day and found me the perfect car. Chad and Mike were great to deal with. Both of them were very helpful and Chad was patient with me through the whole experience. Christina was as equally as helpful and personable. Chad and Christina were amazing to work with. I walked in with a price that I could afford and Chad was able to show me many cars in that price range. I test drove a 2008 VW Jetta that I fell in love with. Christina worked with my credit to get me the best possible financing and was able to get me a low monthly payment. Bob Preston is amazing! After an unfortunate situation with my trade in Bob worked tirelessly to appease me and truly did. I would highly recomend them to anyone in the market for a new car. They are friendly, courteous, and work endlessly to put you in a new car that you can afford. The whole story is that I purchased a used vw jetta diesel from a car lot. After driving it for two years, my wife decided it was time for me to buy an automatic so she could also drive it. There was no other choice but a vw diesel. I get the comfort offered only in high end vehicles, unprecedented mileage, (regularly 49.3 mpg on I80 with the cruise set at 68), longeviety, and service beyone compare. Unfortunately, when I tried to trade in my old vw, I learned it had wayyyyy more miles than what was represented to me by the used car dealer I purchased from (that's a different story my attorney specifically insisted I not share as she is working that out for me).Long story short, Prestons (probably honestly) thought they were offering me top dollar and I took the deal. Later, I learned I should have done better for my trade in even with the mileage issues it had. When Bob learned of my gripe, he made sure I was totally satisfied. My advice to a prospective buyer:1. Make sure you are comfortable with a deal before you agree.2. Make sure you are confident your dealer will treat you as good as Preston's have treated me!I can promise you one thing.... when I want a new vw, I'll be back with an honest trade in for Bob and his staff; without any extra miles on the odometer!

In January 2012 my husband and my 95 Ford Explorer broke down and the repairs were more than what the vehicle was worth. I started looking for a different vehicle and contacted several dealers and financers. As we had just moved from Nebraska in October, we didn't have a strong length of residency or time on the job. Also our credit was not the best. I really didn't know if we were going to be able to get financed in anything affordable that I would want to drive let alone at all. After a frustrating afternoon with JD Byrider we walked across the street to Preston Volkswagon. Mike was very helpful and understanding of our situation. He and Christina in finance worked as fast as they could to get banks on the line. With in a few short minutes we actually had and offer. Unfortunately it was for more money down than what we had, but the down payment wasn't unreasonable so we told Mike that we would be in contact as soon as we got the money. About a week later we had sold the explorer to come up with the extra funds to get the car. Mike arranged for one of their drivers to come 45 minutes to get us and take us to the dealership. Once we got there we ran into another snag, not one of us thought that since I still had an out of state license that it would cause an issue. But because of the recent changes to lending by the government it did. Again sadly I had to leave that day with out a car, I was very frustrated and thought that it was never going to go through. After two more weeks of getting all the paper work, and my new local license in order once again Preston Volkwagon sent a drive to come get me. Mike welcomed me kindly like my car deal wasn't the biggest pain he's had to deal with. We got all the papers signed and he handed me the keys, he even put a full tank of gas in for me! My car deal wasn't the cut and dry come in sign the papers and leave with the car type deal. It was honestly very frustrating being with out a car at all and not knowing if the paper work was ever going to work itself out. Through out it all though ( total 3-4 weeks!) Mike was always friendly and quick to respond, heck I even had his cell phone number and was able to text him on his days off. He always got right back to me and let me know how things were moving along. He was able to find a me car that I actually love and I can afford. It is the nicest , newest , lowest miles car I've ever owned and I appreciate all the work the Mike and his team put in to get me in this car. I will definitely refer everyone I know to them!

Walked into the dealership with little intention of getting rid of my Subaru STi. Though, I did want to test drive another vehicle to see if it fit my profile. Unfortunately, I wasnt pleased, but Mike put me on to the BMW 335xi that caught my eye. What a great trade off! Mike was very knowledgable about the bimmer. He was able to answer every question and even went the extra mile to contact BMW to ensure that the CPO was still remaining on the car. The deal went flawlessly. I was very please with the ease in negotiation and eagerness of Mike to ensure my satisfaction. In no time, the car was mine and I was walking out the door. I cant help but praise Mike for making my purchase go so well.

When I decided to replace a VW that I had driven for seven years, I wasn't sure which model suited my present needs. So, I drove many models, compared prices, assessed my needs, bargained my trade-in value, discussed selling price and decided on a car. The car I chose was not in stock, and Preston VW eventually located the car in Michigan and arranged a swap. This happened quickly -- which I appreciated.My salesman was Mike Anderson. He was straightforward, responsive, knowledgeable and fair. I would highly recommend him to future car buyers.

This review is for the Preston Volkswagen in Boardman. My husband took our 2010 Volkswagen Jetta TDI in for some services. When we picked up our vehicle my husband lifted the hood of the car to make sure everything was fine and immediately noticed that the engine cover on our car had been cracked. It was not cracked when we brought it in for service. My husband went and got a technician to show him it was broken. A message was left with the manager. The manager refused to replace it because the technician said that he did not break it. So we contacted the general manager of the store and he also refused to replace this. This is a $200 replacement. Therefore, we then contacted Bobby Preston who also refused to have this part replaced. I think it is sad when businesses run like this. I will never do any business with any Preston dealerships. I will let everyone of my family and friends now that they have poor customer service relations. Additional comments regarding separate problems on the same car:The rear center console would not fold down properly (it sticks in the shut position) and a door seal was coming off of 1 door. Preston VW attempted to fix the door seal, but it is still falling off in several places around the door. I called the service manager about the door seal the next day, but he argued with me, claiming I maliciously separated the door seal in several spots to point blame at them. They refused to fix the rear center console claiming that if you pull up and out, the console folds down properly. I then demonstrated the center console problem to the service manager. He started pulling up and out with all of his might, separating some of the threads on the upholstery, and got the center console to fold down, as I watched. When I stated that this was excessive force, and something was still wrong in the hinging mechanism, he then claimed that it didnt work properly because I bent part of the upholstery 18 away from the hinge, which thereby rendered the hinging mechanism inoperable. Im not sure how a person can bend upholstery, much less affect the hinge 18 away; seems absurd to me. I disputed him, and approached the stores general manager. I also noticed that the center console now doesnt close all the way (when it does work on rare occasions). I look for honesty, integrity, and fairness when I seek service from any service-related industry. When I approached the general manager, I found none of these. I was accused of fabricating slanderous lies against the technician and dealership, trying to gain a free hand-out for pieces that I allegedly sabotaged on the car (inoperable rear center console that now doesnt close all the way and door seal that is still falling off). I do not recommend any Preston car dealerships to anyone. Their service is terrible and without integrity. The unfortunate attitude appears to trickle down from the very top of the hierarchy, Mr. Bobby Preston, who also refused to help.This attitude is apparent in Rick Giordano's reply to this post. At least 80% of his reply is incorrect and misleading as to what actually happened. I still have every receipt, old emails, phone call records, and letters mailed to and from the previous dealership personnel as well as the manufacturer, which would prove him wrong. But his reply is obviously ignorant of the car's complete history; he fails to realize what we've dealt with having this car. The car has some substantial engineering faults; we've also had several problems with substandard work from technicians. The previous dealership owners/managers were fully aware and empathetic of these things. Bobby Preston and his management team are entirely ignorant of it and unwilling to assist.

I would like to thank everyone for all their help with my purchase of my new car! I live 400 miles away and everyone has been great. Rich (GM) and Mike (internet MGR) are the best! Buying a new car can be tough, but these guys went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. The used car I purchased, I had never seen before, and it was everything that was promised! Honesty and great customer service as well! thank you again Preston VW for all you have done! When my aunt is looking for her new VW Jetta, I will refer her to you guys.

We wanted a Passat with leather, and our salesman told us that none were available due to mad cow disease in Europe. Supposedly, leather was being rationed to upper-crust models. Needless to say, we left, went to Stadium Volkswagen in Boardman (where we bought our Passat), and there were 8 Passats with leather interiors. Service with both dealerships is awful and Volkswagen NA does not care. After first oil-change, the skid plate fell off the car because they didn't replace all but one of the clips.
