I had a great experience with my new car purchase. I got a 20% GM rebate on a new 2016 Camaro and the dealer gave me the exact deal that was promised to me. I drove about 600 miles to get this car because of the rebate and color and I was a little concerned about driving that far and it not working out but everything went really smooth. Nate Hefling my salesman even picked me up at the airport where I dropped off my rental car so I wouldn't have to take a cab to the dealership. Thanks to everyone that helped with the sale.

James Wallace was able to get me the car that I wanted. I had previously went to the dealership that we had previously leased 2 vehicles. I wanted out of my lease early and owed payments for a few more months. The other dealership was unable to work with me. I went to Progressive and met James Wallace, he not only worked with my bank but he made calls to my leasing company. He not only worked deals with my leasing company but he worked deals in house. I was able to purchase a new chevy Malibu with the down payment and monthly payment I wanted. I will NEVER go anywhere else for another vehicle purchase!

Progressive Chevy in Massillon gave me a great car buying experience. That may be cliche to say, but so many times buying a car is extremely frustrating. That was not the case at Progressive. I came in to look at a specific vehicle but found that it was sold right before I got there. That didn't discourage my sales guy, Cameron. He quickly found me a replacement solution that was just as good as my original choice. Cameron did a great job of working with me on the price to get the best deal possible. He was extremely friendly and I enjoyed working with him. Jason Allman, business manager/finance, did a great job as well with helping me get the monthly payment I needed with a great loan option. He even got me Allstate warranty added within my price range. Jason was also very friendly and I enjoyed the paperwork process with him. They both did a great job and the rest of the staff was great as well. I would recommend Progressive to all of my friends and family! Thank you for all your help!

We flew in all the way from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Progressive Chevy in Massillon, Ohio and boy am I glad we did! After searching online and for the exact specifications I wanted in my new car, we flew to Ohio with a one-way ticket hoping to find the perfect Buick Verano to drive home. Progressive was the third dealership out of five we targeted. Progressive not only had the exact car I was looking for as described online, but also greeted us with kindness, patience and exceptional customer service. I came into the dealership with my husband to look at used Traverses. Even made the statement, "We are not buying a car today." That didn't work out for us! I was in need of a newer car and happened to find one that I loved. Craig helped us out and the experience was friendly and personal. He did not pressure us to buy today, but made us feel comfortable. He worked with us to find a deal that we were pleased with. We were not prepared to be buying a new car, and even though it was after-hours, he was patient and kind while we unloaded our trade in and searched every nook to be sure we got everything. (Sorry it took so long!)Jason was also very friendly and made the experience feel personal. Everything went well till I went to finance and found out that I didn't have the warranty I was told I had . Then I had to purchase an extended warranty for peace of mind. After all the numbers were added up I realized that I had had paid 1000 dollars more for the vehicle then I had agreed to pay. Since I was out of town I didnt notice it til after the 3 days . I called my sales person to make it right . kept getting the runaround, To me this is just bad business practice and shows me that they really don't care about the customer. I will never purchase another vehicle here again and fully intend to tell others not to buy here either. Very disappointed in Progressive Chevrolet.

My husband and I went in last night to look at a specific vehicle and by the time we got there, they already had it washed and pulled out for us to look at. We were immediately helped and went for a test drive right away. The process was seamless and they kept it moving for us. The finance process, which can usually be a stressful and long part of the process, was made simple and Fran made it fun (even at the end of the night when she was there all day). We walked away with a new car and had a great experience! We drove over an hour to this dealership and it was well worth our time, I would recommend this dealership to anyone!

Overall the car buying experience was very good. Our salesman Garrick McCalla took the time to listen to us to find out exactly what we were looking for in a vehicle. After looking at 4 or 5 vehicles we found just what we were looking for. Today I came to Progressive to look for a new car. As my mom and I got out of our car a great sales man named Jim Hall came right up to us and started the ball rolling. I was not sure what kind of car I wanted....I just knew I needed one that was newer. Jim said he had the best car for me and pulled up in a chevy cruz and I fell in love. As we started with the papre work I gave him the nu,mbers I could work with as in the top payment I could go and the most I could put down. He worked with Jason Allman the business manger and between the two of them magic was made. I got everything I needed plus more. The whole team was to great to work with. I will let everyone I know they need to go to Progressive to buy a car. The store manger Big Daddy Jim was the best also.

It has been over 12 yrs since I needed to purchase a new vehicle. I was overwhelmed and intimidated with the process, even after doing MASSIVE Internet homework, I was still apprehensive. He listened to me and and told me exactly what my options were. We had come to an agreement and I was signing the paperwork for my car when their whole attitude changed because I wanted to use my pre-approved financing through my credit union. Per Wayne, he refused to sell the car to me anymore as "it wouldn't be worth it." I had even emailed Kevin, the salesman I had been working with, upfront to let him know I was pre-approved and financing through my credit union. We then agreed to a monthly payment, set up an appointment time, and they even took a $100 deposit to hold the car. When I arrived, I was told I needed to meet with Fran in financing to sign the paperwork. When I refused to switch from my credit union to their bank financing, Fran stepped out of the office and brought Wayne back in. At this point, Wayne stated he wasn't going to sell the car to me anymore if I didn't use their financing. Unbelievable and a total waste of my time!

Our daughter graduated from college and her grandmother wanted to buy her a good used car for a graduation gift. After looking on line we decided to look at a 2014 Cruz at Progressive Chevrolet. Cameron was more the willing to go the extra mile, not for himself but for us...to put us in the car we really wanted. To be honest I cannot stand the whole car buying process. I am not good at haggling and always wonder if I am being "taken" or not. My experience at Progressive was truthfully the best car buying experience I have ever had. I was not pressured or rushed for a decision. In fact, my salesman Cameron, encouraged me to go home and think about it. Overall, the dealership did everything they could to sell us the vehicle. BUT, the disappointment came immediately following. Less than 24 hours after purchasing our 2009 Chevy Silverado we ran into problems, check engine light came on. We put in a call to our sales associate, Garrick McCalla, who repeatedly has not returned our calls. The truck had a bad thermostat, first of all. Garrick was going to check and call back, never heard from him. So, we had our ASE certified tech(son) look at it. It was apparent that the check engine light had been on before we purchased the truck and someone had reset it. Not only was the thermostat faulty, but also the blend door actuator. After several calls to Garrick and no response, we had our own technician take care of the problems for us. Progressive will do all they can to sell you a vehicle, but don't count on customer service once you drive off the lot. Progressive lost our trust and we will not be back, nor recommend this dealership. Disappointed in the end.

We had such a great experience with this dealership. We recently leased a new Cruze here, and the employees (Wes was our salesperson) were all very helpful, patient, and professional. Tom Schmidt & Jim Rowe were extremely helpful in getting me through the process. I told them what I wanted & we discussed other options but I felt under no pressure to add bells & whistles that I did not want. There was no push to 'make the sale' the day I walked into the dealership. Although the car I wanted, a red Sonic, was not available. A week later I got the call that my car was at Progressive. Yea!!

Roger was very friendly and informative and provided an overall humble vehicle buying experience. I walked in on April 1st 2016 not knowing if I'd be able to get my wife and I a newer car, We travel long distances to and from work. With the help of Jason Fulks who took the time to show me several vehicles and even rode with me on a few test drives, then had me park and show me how to work certain features in each vehicle. Wally Trace and Jason Allman spent the much needed time working with the banks to get us the absolute best deal, as we do not have the strongest credit but credit good enough for them to work their magic. We ended up in a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LT at a great rate and payments well manageable for our budget. All three gentlemen couldn't have been more courteous to my wife and I. We truly felt like we were their number one customers both times we came into the dealership. Everyone was really friendly. We were offered refreshments multiple times We were offered a test drive and the salesman was very informative. The dealership was clean also. I think that I got a reasonable deal. Sean Diotale was very nice and there was never any pressure. Jason Allman clearly explained all of the details of the financing and warranties. And Jim "Big Daddy" Jackson made a special effort to come over and say "Hello" and thank us for our business. These three guys deserve "Atta Boys". Since I'm a geezer, this might be my last car. That was the best car buying experience I've ever had since I bought my first car in 1970. The salesman, Desmond Jackson, was helpful, not pushy. Nice personality. Even the appraiser was helpful! He gave me $250.00 more than the NADA book value on my trade, and I got a used 2012 Impala $3,000.00 below NADA book value! What a sweet deal! I had checked out the NADA values prior to going to the dealership. The car I wanted was "on line" through AutoTrder.com. I knew exactly what I wanted, what their car value was and what my trade value was going into this. I thought, NO SURPRISES! But I was wrong. I was very pleasantly surprised!Now comes the finance guy, Jason Allman. I expected him to try to "bump" me in the closer room for a little extra dealership profit. What happened was that he was able to beat my Credit Union pre-approved rate by 5%! My payment dropped $50.00 per month! Everyone could not have been nicer.Yes. I most definitely recommend this Dealership, Desmond and Jason.

I bought a 2013 Chevy Equinox from Garrick McCalla. The experience was great he answered all question I had he was very good at explaining the different features the car had. The only thing that I would give lower than a 5 is when it came time to leave he didn't help set my onstar or sirusxm up. The only thing he help set up was my bluetooth on my cell phone. But other than that the dealership and Garrick score a 5. I will continue to buy from this dealership.

I was in the market for a Silverado 2500 HD for quite some time and I was looking for a specific truck with everything I wanted. I had a hard time locating the truck close to home (Pittsburgh) but I found the exact truck I wanted online. The only problem was it was located about 2 hours away at Progressive Chevrolet. I was hesitant to make the long drive but I was determined to buy the truck of my dreams. I am glad I made the journey to Progressive. From the moment I contacted the dealer to let them know I was interested, I had nothing but superior customer service. All the employees I spoke with were very informative and helpful in setting up an appointment. Once I got to the dealer, I was met at the door by Kevin Black. Kevin had everything setup ahead of time and had the truck ready for me to test drive. Kevins knowledge of the truck and all of its features was a pleasant surprise. Any questions I had, Kevin had an answer for and provided great explanation. I had a quote from a local dealer that was for a very similar truck and Kevin worked with me to get the price close to that quote and within something that I was willing to pay. I dealt with Jason Allman in finance and he did a great job to secure a good rate for me and explained the whole process thoroughly. At the end of the process, I walked away with my dream truck and had a great experience in purchasing it from Progressive Chevrolet.

After stopping by the dealership and speaking with Jason folks my husband and I realized we were at the right place after car shopping all day we finally found the perfect destination to buy a vehicle we explained our situation of totaling out my current vehicle and in need of a new one they went to work it wasn't long until we signed the papers on my gorgeous new truck although my insurance company was giving me the run around noon took forever paying for my collision and my previous bank took forever posting the payment to my account theyou stuck by my side working with me every day to get the deal to happen it took nearly a week and even though there were several other customers trying to buy my vehicle they held it for me until everything fell in to place at the same time helping me work on my claim for that I am very thankful if they worked that hard for me I'm sure they will for you stop by and ask for Jason Fulks he's a great guy and Wally even offered me a rental car until the deal went through free of charge what a great bunch of guys thank you Progressive Chevrolet

Radiator that was replaced- had to add coolant to the overflow twice within the last week- coolant is leaking somewhere.3. Transmission is still slipping- I can feel the transmission start to slip- especially when I'm traveling around 40-50 MPH up a hill and I'm going a constant speed.4. Needs oil change.December 8, 2015To: Craig/Tim Sanders (Dealers for the People)Re: 2006 Chevy SilveradoThis letter is to inform you of the poor service I received for my 2006 Chevy Silverado.I purchased this vehicle new in 2006 from your dealership from Nate Hefling- a really nice salesman- very polite, answers questions and was always very helpful- I only dealt wth Nate on vehicle purchases. These were the repairs on my Silverado: it only has 92,000 miles.1. Right front wheel bearing went out- repaired at my expense. I'm certain you have the maintenance records to review the date when this was repaired.2. Left front wheel bearing went out- Jay Johnson told me it was just my bad luck- repaired at my expense. I'm certain you have the maintenance records to review the date when this was repaired. 2 front wheel bearings???3. The number 2 and number 4 transmission bands needed replaced- July of 2015- repaired at my expense. When I picked up the truck, I called Bernie to say the truck was still not right- I took the truck back and he had the mechanic test drive the vehicle- they said they could not find anything wrong, they even had 2 different people drive the vehicle.4. Took the truck back home- noticed a loud bang when driving- called Bernie and took the truck back in. I test drove the truck with a service manager (forget his name), I pointed out the "shaking" in the transmission when driving- he agreed. I had 4 new tires put on also.5. Bernie said I needed a new torque convertor, Bernie also said I needed a new radiator because it was leaking fluid into the transmission- both repaired at my expense.6. Took the truck home- I noticed a "gurgling" sound under the hood- noticed the overflow for the coolant recovery was empty- took the tuck back in and needed a new water pump- repaired at my expense.7. Bernie said there was coolant in the transmission- needed to be taken apart again and flushed- I told him I already put 5,000 dollars into the truck and its still not right. Told him to put the truck outside.When I went to pick up the truck- Bernie just happened to call off that day- the service advisor (forget his name but he was very polite) that checked me out knew nothing about the truck, but he did say Jay Johnson wanted to talk to me about the truck and the repairs. As I was paying for the repairs again, the service advisor told Jay I was waiting so he could speak with me- Jay was talking on the phone at the time- Jay just looked up and told the service advisor "the keys are in it". I guess that was all Jay wanted to talk to me about.Now my transmission needs replaced- I went to 3 different transmission specialist and they all said the same thing- as soon as coolant was found in the transmission- the transmission should have been rebuilt. But your guys failed to do that- why? One guy said he could have rebuilt 2 transmissions for the amount of money I paid.Since 1998 I purchased the followng vehicles from your dealership:1. 1998 Camaro2. 2004 Trailblazer3. 2006 Chevy Silverado4. Brought my daughter in to lease a 2014 Chevy Cruze.5. Brought another daughter in to purchase a 2014 Equinox, My wife and I also purchased another 2014 Equinox that same day!6. In 1976 my father took me to Progressive Chevrolet to purchase my first vehicle, a 1975 Chevy Vega.With me being a loyal customer, you would think I would deserve better service than this- that a vehicle I purchased and brought in for repairs, regardless of how long I have owned it, would have been repaired right the first time and I would have been given the courtesy that a loyal customer deserves. I was hoping to trade up in 2016 to a new Silverado, but that thought has left me, my truck is not worth enough now, I've invested too much money in it.Here,s a comparison, I am Vice President of Production and Assistant Vice President of Administration, been doing it for 37 + years. I manage 3 manufacturing facilities and over 1500 employees. When a customer of ours has a problem- no matter how much they may have spendt with our company, or how big the account may be or how long they have been a customer of ours, I work to make it right- regardless of the cost to our company or how much of my time I may need to devote to make it right. That's how we operate- that is why we have been in business for over 100 years. That is why I am recognized as one of the top people in my chosen field, because I get things done right and work endlessly to make it right. If I have someone on my payroll that cannot perform their job or does not put the customer first- I replace them without hesitation- I do not want someone tearing down what we have built over the past 100+ years - trust.Now I'll need to take my truck to a specialist for a permanent repair and have it done correctly. I do not expect you will make this right or even make a futile attempt to make it right, although I feel you should. It was your employees that failed to make t right, your employees are representing Progressive Chevrolet- they are representing you.I'll take my business elsewhere and remind those looking to purchase a vehicle or may need repairs, not to bother with Progressive. Bernie is very good at letting customers know what extra services need to be done to the vehicle and very HONEST about when service can be done. I will be contacting him to schedule appointments for the services needed on my car based on the inspection he reviewed with me.I am NOT happy with the follow up calls I am receiving stating that per my last visit there are MAJOR repairs that need to be done to my car IMMEDIATELY. I also think that the 4-5 reminders of my service date were excessive, but that is my opinion.

I always get good service w/Bernie. He's the best. I am a single woman who knows nothing about cars. I live in Massillon and work a crappy low paying full time job in Canton and need my car to be in tip top shape. Sale associate was great and transaction went smooth. Thought the vehicle was a little louder than should be but said it was just how the equinox is. Unfortunately a few days later it got louder and now 3 weeks later very loud. After looking at the warranty it basically will not cover the problem and now we have to put more money into it that we had told them we did not want to have to dump money into it after we left the lot and was assured that the warranty was a great one. Leaves us puzzled as to why a vehicle would be sold with a problem and not fully inspected and fixed. Very disappointed in this situation and will not be able to drive it til we can get it fixed.

I was leaving for a business trip to WV. and my car started to make a loud noise from the engine. I pulled into Progressive and spoke with Fred. He drove the car and mentioned that the brakes we very bad. He helped me get into a loaner car to make my business trip. Later that day Fred called an told me that the timing belts in the car were shot. and they would need to be replaced. Thank fully they were still covered on MFG. warranty. He knew I needed transportation and extended the loaner over the weekend. The brakes were fixed and the timing belt as well. I would and have sent people into Progressive for cars as well as maintenance. Great service and compassion.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle. I certainly hope it wasn't because I am a young woman who went in to purchase alone but after the way I was treated I tend to lean toward that being a factor. They blatantly tried to trick me, asked me to sign a paper that the salesperson drew an X on to show that I was serious before taking it upstairs and even asked for a credit card or cash to take with the "offer" to make it look like I was ready to buy. Also, I am pretty confident that they created a false document that showed the blue book on my trade because I sure can't find the price they showed me anyplace else and then when that failed they sent the "closer" in to try some more trickery to get me to buy. I walked out and suggest that you not make the mistake of even walking in. I went to another dealership the same day and got the same exact vehicle for the price that they assured me that no lot would take.

I took my Malibu in to find why I had a soft rub noise on the front right and they found the problem and all is good. That is not all---The service representative provided a loan car for the day so I could continue my business as a realtor. And that is not all---the next morning, while the loaner was in my possession, I locked the keys in the car. I was so frantic what to do and had planned to be at an appointment soon. My husband called Sherry Longwill, our rep, and she said "I will get right back to you". She did just that--she contacted OnStar and arranged for the car to be connected and had it unlocked for me and made it to my appointment. Sherry is a STAR in my eyes! I checked online for the vehicles I was interested in. The Cleveland/Akron market is much more competitive than the Pittsburgh market.I called 4-5 dealers prior to making the trip. I made soft appointments at 3 dealers including Progressive. I spoke with Kyle and we had a tentative appointment at noon on Thursday. I researched and knew the price I was willing to pay for each of the 4 cars that I wanted to see this day. I also wanted prices on extended warranties prior to my visits. I stopped at the first dealer on Thursday morning, they took up too much of my time with "car salesman talk/tactics." I felt like I needed a shower after this. I excused myself and we left.I called Kyle at Progressive, let him know I was running late. When I arrived at 1:00 my wife and I were met by Sean. Sean let me know that Kyle shares duties between the dealerships and was busy. Sean was aware of my appointment. Sean was pleasant through the entire meeting. Really a super easy guy to deal with. The car was ready for a test drive in less that 5 minutes. We took a 10 minute drive. We sat down at Sean's desk and he came back with information on a monthly payment. I told him I was I wasn't interested in monthly payment information, only the bottom line price on the vehicle. Once again, I knew what I was willing to pay. I told him the price, he made one trip to the person in charge of accepting the offers. Came back with a yes. Next was the ringing of the bell. Corny, but my wife rang the bell. She laughed. When she rang the bell my feelings shifted from corny to fun. She liked it. I quietly went outside and made a call and cancelled the appointment at dealer #3. Next was paperwork and extended warranty with Jason. Another painless experience. Progressive did as I requested and had already called me with the price and details of the extended warranty.I met Jim who I assume was in charge of the pricing. Nice guy. We arrived at 1:00. Everything was completed at 3:10. Sean had some gas put in the tank and we were done at 3:20. I couldn't believe it! Under 2 1/2 hours to complete everything. Everyone was great. The bottom line is they were quick to accept the offer. No back and forth. Will absolutely recommend! When I'm car shopping in the future I will certainly check out their inventory and make the trip.

i purchased my first financed car today at Progressive Cheverolet. i usually pay cash but mine and my husbands health required us to get something with a warranty that was newer and nicer so it was time to bite the bullet and seek out a reliable warrantied car. After weeks of online searches and hearing Progressive's radio commercials we decided to stop in and take a look at a few cars we had saved online. Melinda their internet sales person helped out and stayed on top of our emails. Once we got in there , the sales staff was not pushy and over bearing. Brett Knerr immediatly came over to help us. He got the cars and brought them to us to inspect and test drive. He worked out a deal that fit our budget and after a little haggeling we got what we wanted for our trade in. Jason Allman and Big Daddy Jim Jackson were friendly, very helpful.. got us the financing at a great (and suprising) interest rate and payments we can afford that fit our budget not theirs. It took a total of 4 hours and everyone was patient and friendly. I definatly recommend this dealership and i will be a returning customer! i am a proud new owner of a certified 2012 Malibu LT with only 44k on it and all kinds of warranties and coverages!! I walked into the dealership not knowing "how" much car I could get, and left with the perfect one for me. One thing I wanted was remote start. I got that plus a few other bells and whistles that I love. (sun roof for one). I had an excellent experience here. I had no money down and was looking for a certain monthly payment. They worked with me and got it down to an amount I could afford. Ray Robertson greeted me at the door and made the whole experience enjoyable. My wife and myself stopped in to try to Purchase a vehicle within our budget. Our sales man was Cameron Kohlman, who is not only a great guy but knows what's he's doing and goes out of his way to keep customers happy. We made our selection, and test drive the vehicle. The wife instantly fell in love with the equinox. The next step was the negotiations. cameron went back and forth with Wally Trace to get a fair deal. By the end of negotiations we couldn't be happier. The family at progressive Chevrolet truly does go out of their way for their customers. Jason Allman took care of our financial portion of the purchase quickly and efficiently. At the end of the day we drove home in a wonderful vehicle at a great price. Their mechanics are he absolute worst!! My boyfriend took his car in for one problem. They blew that problem off and fixed something totally irrelevant to the issue that didn't even not fixed and didn't even bother calling and asking him first. When I went in there for an oil change, he said they would rotate my tires too. I was okay with that. Get home that night and there's smoke coming from the engine and a terrible smell. They spilled oil inside the car and it was burning off. Then I noticed my check engine light was on. I have never had a light come on one time since I got my car. I also noticed my traction light would come on and off randomly. Which also never happened before then. Went back the next day and I was pretty irritated. Turns out they didn't even put my oil cap back on correctly. So apparently their mechanics can't even handle putting a gas cap on. The next day my tire pressure light was on. So while doing the tire rotation, they didn't even bother checking my tire pressure. Just baffles me.

Cannot speak to their new car sales. However, used car depart is exactly why used car salesmen have a certain reputation. Expect to be treated like they are doing you some type of favor instead of doing business. They do not like to disclose details and they are like to state silly things are Ohio law when they have no other excuse. I by no means ask question or you may upset the manger .

I purchased a 2013 Chevy Malibu from the dealership yesterday. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I had a montly budget that I wanted to stick with and I had negative equity on the car that I was trading in so my situation was not ideal. Jim let me test drive two different cars that I liked and was very patient with me while I was indecisive about my final decision. I got a great deal on the car that I purchased but a lot of the vehicles that were on the lot, had damage of some form. That is the only thing that i would have changed about the experience. I think I would have had a lot of options if there wasnt some form of damage on all of the cars. Financing was fantastic, the warrantys offered to me were fantastic. I dont feel like I was being pitched some sort of deal that was going to screw me over in the end. I really feel like they got me fantastic financing and great warranty options that STILL FIT MY BUDGET! Very happy with my experience. It was a breeze.

They managed to make the boring steps of car buying painless.Our only complaint is the way the dealership attempted to sneak the Scotchgard Protection Plan into our purchase. My husband and I were willing to travel an hour because of the low pricing they had over all the car dealerships in our area within a 25 mile radius. We extended our search to 40 mile radius and found Progressive with the best new truck offer. We called Monday morning, confirmed they still had the vehicle and great price. When we arrived not only did they have the truck we wanted but the same advertised price. They did not steer us away to another vehicle, and proceeded to give us an additional 500.00 off the sale price. They washed, serviced, and filled the tank up with gas, while we signed papers that were exactly the amount we agreed upon (no hidden fees). Our salesman Wesley Price was very courteous, respectful, helpful, a great joy to work with. I chose Progressive Chevrolet from the yellow pages, and I had no idea what to expect. First off, I was able to schedule an appointment online, which was really great. I arrived on time and was greeted by Service Advisor Patrick Kline. I expressed my concern about my passenger seat not being able to adjust forward or backwards. Patrick quickly went to work on the issue. To my surprise he found that there was also recall on my vehicle, and was able to explain exactly what the recall was and how it could effect the operation of my vehicle. There was very little paperwork to complete, the vehicle was quickly taken into the service area, and in no time at all it was ready. Patrick was able to explain what was fixed on my vehicle, and that really impressed me. Progressive Chevrolet has just won over a new customer, and I will definately refer my friends and family. I want to thank both Tom Schmidt and James Rowe for helping me, for 5 long hours, purchase my used Subaru Crosstrek. I had been looking 6 months before seeing a great deal on exactly what I was looking for. I had to have it, but at an affordable monthly rate. The day before our vacation our car wouldn't start in the parking lot. We got it started and took it straight to Jay.Later in the afternoon he couldn't find the problem, but didn't think it was safe to take to S.C. On July 1st I went in for an oil change. What I was not expecting was my rear breaks to be completely unusable and kind of floating around in there, or for my rotors to be rusted and chipped beyond repair. What I had expected to be a low 30 dollar bill soon turned into almost 400 dollars worth of work. My service advisor Patrick made sure to keep me informed with every detail along the way and could see my day going from good to worse every time he came to speak with me. Knowing that I had purchased my car in 2014 from them he started speaking with the managers and owner, which lead to me meeting with one of the service managers and then the owner as they told me they were going to cover everything but my oil change that I had come in for, stating that the car should not have left the lot in the condition that it had with the rear rotors and that they were indeed sorry about the inconvenience and hoped this would help. Needless to say, everyone that I spoke with that day, especially Patrick went above and beyond during my visit to the dealership! And I am extremely grateful!

Purchasing a car at Progressive Chevrolet was such a great experience! The environment as soon as we walked in was so welcoming and right away we knew we were in the right place. Tom Schmidt was great! He took the time to really understand exactly what we were looking for in a car and already had a few keys on his desk so we could get started test driving right away. We were able to really figure out which car we liked the best because he didnt rush us to make a decision. He showed us around Massillon because we had recently just moved to the area and he wanted us to know where all the great places were which I really enjoyed. We learned so much about the Equinox as well!! He even brought me some things I had forgotten to get at the dealership right to my work and said that when my plates came in he would come and put them on for me. Which I thought was gerat!! James Rowe was great as well. He worked so hard to make sure that we got the best customer service as well! He helped me with everything so that I fully understood exactly what I was doing. He even called to check in on Monday to see how the first weekend with the car was and also to see how I was doing because Tom and James both knew that I had just found out that I had lost someone very close to me early that morning which I think is true customer service in my eyes. It made a lasting impression on me. Last but not least, Jason Allman was fantastic! He worked tirelessly on our paperwork and with the banks to make sure that we got the best rates and the best deal! We left Thursday night and went back to finish Friday night and he said that he was actually able to get us a better warranty on the Equinox! It really made an impression on us that someone would take so much time to make sure that we got the best of the best! I normally do not like dealerships or the car buying process but Progressive Chevrolet went above and beyond what I ever expected!!! I will recommend everyone go to Progressive Chevrolet for their next car because of the service I received!!! Thank you so much Tom, James, and Jason!!!

With internet shopping taking over the car buying process, my husband and I were able to look at cars at dealerships from Cleveland to Massillon. We spoke with over twenty car salesmen. At one point, we sat in the car we wanted to buy, in the middle of the show room, for over twenty-five minutes in a whirl-wind of salesmen and buyers, and no one even spoke to us.It was a refreshing difference at Progressive Chevy. We were greeted immediately, and had the keys to the car we came to look at within minutes. This was, hands down, the best car buying experience we have ever had!

My wife, two children and I came into the dealership looking for a "new" used car for her to drive. Even though the children were running around and screaming like crazy people the staff were very friendly and understanding! The salesman was not pressuring us to make any decisions and did an awesome job at getting us a great deal on our new car. The finance person that we worked with did an awesome job of finding us a great interest rate, driving our monthly payment down, and was very courteous and was happy to answer any questions we had as was the salesman.

We were greeted at the door by Jim. We were looking for a 2015 Traverse new, but they had 3 cars that were used that were also 2015, we test drove one, looked at the other two and decided we likedthe one we drove. We all know when in the market for a new or used car, it is difficult to get what you want for the price and the service. My wife and I went to Progressive due to it being close in proximity to both of our jobs, we live 40 minutes south from our work. I called about 2 hours ahead of my appointment to confirm and make sure they were not running behind. I got there 15 minutes ahead of schedule, told the service advisor (Sherry) that I was walking to a local restaurant for lunch and made sure she had my cell phone number. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted in an easy going manner. I indicated I wanted basic late model transportation and that is exactly what was shown to me. There was never any pressure to buy more or extras. We were given a very test drive and then went on to complete the transaction. Our saleman was Brett Knerr and he was our favorite salesman ever and this was our 7th vehicle bought at Progressive. Brett was very helpful and patient. We were trying to decide between the Equinox and a Cruze LTZ and test drove both a couple times. Brett pointed out different good points in each vehicle. He made the experience enjoyable. We felt like we received a fair amount for our trade-in and that the Sales Manager, Jim Jackson, gave us the best deal he could and was also very personable! This is by far the best dealership I have ever been to. Everyone was so nice and worked with us so well. They stayed an hour and a half past closing time to finalize all the paperwork and everything. We drove an hour and a half to go here and it was definitely worth it. We never thought we would drive away with our new vehicle after not getting there until 7:00pm. Excellent for the entire experience From the first interaction I was impressed. John and Clayton ensured my every concern was answered. I purchased a Silverado 2500 HD Lifted by Rocky Ridge Customs WOWI had several unique questions and if they didn't know the answer they either researched it or found the person who knew. The folks at Rocky Ridge (Brandon) even were directly involved with this purchase which simply amazed me. Mr Goffee said the rep would call me and I figured maybe In a few days to weeks and within 30 minutes of him telling me that the phone rang. Top Notch. Clayton was patient and tolerated my questions and some were difficult and he was super. I would have went elsewhere if it were not for Clayton and John I had looked at about 100 trucks or more I traveled over three hours several times to speak to them and test drive the vehicle. Whenm ckecking my tires air i found thet all 4 tired lost air.After serving it and the air was set on all tires at 35 lbs. upon checking it again all 4 tires lost one lb. at last check they all were at 34 lbs.Iam trying to understand this. Our 2004 van served us well for the past 11 years but it was time to bite the bullet and spend the money for something new. My van didn't look so good anymore sitting in the car lot with all their beautiful new vehicles. We had a good laugh and knew I needed something reliable for the kids and I. Tim Sanders and Jim Hall worked hard in finding another van that I would like. We had a budget to hold to and they worked hard again to help us stay very close to that. I left there excited to be driving a new van as well as feeling that we got a good deal and everyone there was extremely friendly. We may be back soon to get another vehicle.

My husband and I went to progressive for an appraisal on our 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT. We were not sure what we wanted to do. Buy a year old vehicle off the lot, buy a new 2015 or put money into our car and keep it. Ray Robinson was the sales person who helped us with our decision. We discovered that a used car was nearly as much as a new economical car with a full warranty. Progressive had the color we were looking for and the price was right! We love our new Cruz! Ray as very informative and helpful in our decision to purchase a new vehicle. We would recommend Progressive Chevy in Massillon.

When looking for a used car, it is nice to know that there are some dealerships that aren't overly pushy. They genuinely want you to find the right vehicle and are accommodating with a lot of options for financing. I was in to get my oil change and tire rotation, and it took a bit longer than expected. However, my service adviser, Scott, came in and apologized and let me know that it would be just a little bit longer, and that was very much appreciated. Additionally, when I first arrived and signed off on the paperwork, he said that they didn't have anyone there washing cars at the moment, but that if I wanted that done, he would do it for me. Of course I would never ask him to, that's not his job, but how nice that he offered :) super nice guy and provides great service.

I cannot begin to tell you how great our experience was at Progressive. We had several bad dealings with past dealerships and were prepared for the worst. However we were completely surprised. Sean Diotale was the best salesperson we have ever worked with. He doesn't pressure you at all, yet he was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to get us a deal we were comfortable with. He wanted us to get the car and trim level we wanted. Then Jim Jackson also worked his magic and helped cinch the deal. He wasn't going to stop until we were satisfied. Signing all the paperwork can be a pain, but Francesca made it a breeze, also getting us the financing we wanted. Everyone we encountered was helpful and very pleasant to work with. We actually enjoyed the whole experience! And I LOVE my new Equinox!!!!

Clayton Cross from Progressive was invaluable as a Car Salesman. His Christian testimony was exactly what made us know we could trust him. He treated us much better than any other car salesman has ever treated us. He did not pressure us so we had to make a spur of the moment decision. We told him that we needed to leave to get our children lunch and drop them off at their grandparents and then we would call him back after lunch and he gave us the price to ponder on the vehicle while we were gone. Great price on 2013 used Buick Regal. Very knowledgeable staff and friendly. Definitely do your homework BEFORE going to buy any car. Research the prices to find out what a good deal really is. Have your financing secured BEFORE you buy a car. Progressive Chevrolet was able to match the terms of my financing and beat the interest rate. I had the worth experience ever. after I had a deal with their sales person and we agree on price. the sales manager called me after and he said he cannot give me the deal. he told me that his sales person did not know what was doing. when i complaint to the general manger, he told that the list price that they are selling the van is less from what they bought it so they are loosing money even at list price. then two hours later the salesmen send me a message that they lowered the price by 520.00 so they are loosing more money. The hole dealership is a joke. they have 5 referents prices on the Internet. I felt like my kids are running the dealership because from top to bottom every one tell you different things and you can't believe any of them or make a deal with any of them. It was waist of my time and theirs. I recommend to drive to Arlington road and see Doug Chevrolet. they are more honest and professional. do not waist one second with Progressive chevrolet.

I went to progressive for the second time. The first time was awesome, they really did what they could to help me. I started out with no credit and they made it easy to walk away with a vehicle. This 2nd time was even better. I felt like I was not just another sale, but a friend. Sean was excellent, and was easy to talk to. Wasn't quiet while we waited for the banks responses. Nate did an outstanding job in helping us find a car to fit our needs. He was very polite and listened to what we were looking for, while at the same time was very personable and kind to my children. Everything for the sale and trade-in was handled by Nate, from start to finish. I really appreciated him changing the license plates and setting up the Bluetooth calling system for me. I would definitely buy another car from Nate in the future. It was a great experience for the entire family. Wally helped to finalize the deal and I felt it was fair. Jason worked with financing and got me the same deal as my own credit union. I ended up going with my own personal credit union for convenience sake. However, I did feel Jason was less friendly after I chose different banking. Also, I dealt with Wendy Stoner a bit on the phone and over the Internet. My experience at this dealership is always pleasant. They never try to sell me something from the service dept. that I don't need. On my last visit my vehicle needed an over night stay. It was my day off and I had come all the way from Louisville with a bit of an emergency. My 2007 Trailblazer was bleeding fluid from the front end at a rate that needed quick attention. My wife who was going to be my ride home was already home and to my very pleasant surprise the dealership offered to let me borrow a brand spanking new( I think they said it came off a truck the day before) 2015 Chevy Equinox at NO COST, FREE!! That to me was HUGE!! It's also the little things like getting texts from my service manager when it's finished, keeping me informed on the status while I'm there, a free car wash, a ride to work, paper floor mats. The only thing I would add with the car wash is maybe a quick vacuum. I have been praising your dealership to my wife and she agrees from past bad experiences from other dealerships that you can be sure we will be buying our next new or used car from Progressive!!!!

I flew from North Carolina to buy a 2015 lt Chevrolet impala from Kevin Black at Progressive Chevrolet in Ohio. I went such a great distance because they had exactly what I was looking for in my price range and it was well worth the trip. Im in love with my new car and Kevin Black and the other team members were extremely helpful and made my overall experience wonderful. He made it a pleasant experience to work with , very professional , and work very well on getting me a fair price on my vehicle .So,when my mother wanted to buy a new car , I called Clayton about looking at a Cruze . We had been looking at vehicles for several months and reading about different ones online to find the perfect one. We had several needs that needed to be filled. We stopped in at Progressive Chevrolet and were greeted by several friendly staff members. We then met Ray Robertson, who listened to us as we described what we were looking for and what we needed. She helped us find the perfect match. It met our specifications and was in the price range we were looking at. We picked it out on a Saturday night before dinner reservations. We then went back on Monday afternoon to finalize everything. Everyone we met with was fabulous. Our family is excited to have a vehicle we are all happy with. His customer service was superb and he really took the time to understand what we were looking for and in a price range we could afford. For starters, I drove my sister out to Progressive's Chrysler store last year for an amazing deal on a 2009 Accent. After a great experience, and a great car that my sister is still driving, I returned to buy my 2007 Infiniti G35 which was exactly the car I was looking for and they really worked with me on getting the price down to where I needed it. The first trip I made out to buy the car, there was a problem with the hood that was keeping it from opening, apparently somebody has bent the hinges while there was ice built up. Anyways, my salesman Wes completely understood that I didn't want to take the car that day, and Progressive held the car for me until the next week when it was fixed and ready to go. The shop did a great job fixing the hinges, as well as touching up some paint that was scraped off by the ice incident. The buying process was super simple, and the F&I manager didn't even try and force me to buy the extended warranty, which I appreciated. Although there were issues, the experience was great and I'd buy from Progressive again.

Since I've been going to Progressive Chevrolet, (about 10 years) Jay has always been friendly and cooperative. I've never had a problem getting ahold of him or getting an answer back from him in a reasonable amount of time. I've never had any issues when dealing with Jay. The only concern I've ever had at the dealership was when my car tires were rotated and the service mechanic forgot to reset the tire pressure gauges to match where the tires were located on the car. This was corrected with no problem.

I took my Silverado in for an oil change and tire rotation. Sherry was very friendly and greeted me with a smile. She wrote up my service order and made sure I knew where the waiting room was. Before I knew it, my truck was done. Sherry took the time to go over my multi-point inspection form and walked me over to the cashier office and thanked me for coming in. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

The car shopping experience was great Clayton and Frank were outstanding !! However, after waiting 2 hours to meet with Francesca in finance to finish the process I felt she was being deceitful. Once we got to the the paperwork explaining the interest rate she pointed out one % rate that she states I was getting yet at the top of the page in the box the % rate was different and higher then what was discussed. When questioned she replied that the rate was increased due to the "fee's" When explaining I was already approved through another bank for a lower percentage rate she quickly responds with -oh look I just got an instant message from that bank and states the bank we wanted to use in the first place would indeed give us a better rate and no fee's! Thankfully we really paid attention and caught that because it made quite the difference in my monthly payments. Her response was something like- you should give yourself a pat on the back for catching that. I guess I would just think they would have the customers' best interest in mind and if you could get someone a better interest rate, why wouldn't that be the 1st step you make? Obviously I am glad we questioned it and she changed bank which the loan would be through, but it left me feeling uneasy and cautious about the way the situation happened. It definitely made me second guess buying the car from what I felt was dishonest service.

My wife and I decided to drive from Pittsburgh, PA to view a 2012 Chevy Traverse that we saw online. All emails and calls that we placed were returned quickly and with a personal touch. After driving 2 1/2 hours on a Friday evening, Ray and Wally were excellent about making sure that the car we came to see was what we wanted...and stayed an hour and a half after close working with us. We weren't able to close the deal that night, but when I returned the next day everything was in place. From Ray meeting me at the front door, to Wally stopping by to see how my drive in was, to Jason letting me know that he was able to beat the interest rate that my bank had given...all touch points felt very personal. I drove a few hours (and out of state) simply because I liked the internet price on a car, but the folks who I dealt with made me feel good about the overall process...not just the price. There was never pushy sales...instead people that listened to what my wife and I wanted and then treated us fairly to help make that happen. Many thanks to the folks at Progressive Chevrolet (even though they are Browns fans :). It was well worth the trip and I walked away having a great car buying experience.

I dealt with Jay Johnson when I dropped off my 2015 Chevy Equinox for scheduled maintenance. When I came in, I mentioned an issue I was having with my On-Star navigation not working and how when I called On-Star they informed me there was a technical problem (then hung up on me twice). After my maintenance was completed, he explained the results of my multi-point safety inspection and set me up with a time to drop off my vehicle to have a more thorough inspection and service done.

I recently had to have my 2010 Tahoe in for service. I had the pleasure of working with Scott Neeley. He kept in constant contact with me about the process of my car. Since this was my only vehicle, he took care of the car rental as well. After hours of searching online for the right car at the right price, we decided to make a visit to Progressive Chevrolet. From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated with the utmost respect from everyone we met. We sat down with Nate Hefling and discussed what we were looking for in a vehicle. Nate listened to what we needed and wanted and within a few minutes, he was certain he had the vehicle we were looking for. Nate was very knowledgeable. From safety features and fuel economy to available options, Nate was able to answer all of our questions. And, he was absolutely right...the first car he showed us was the car we were looking for. After negotiating a great a price, we were introduced to Challace Kotuce in financing. Instead of stopping with the first lender who agreed to provide financing, Challace continued searching until she found a lender who offered us a great interest rate. While completing our paperwork, she patiently answered all of our questions about extended warranties, and didn't try to talk us into something we didn't need or want but helped us find a good extended warranty that fit our needs and budget. After handing us our key and escorting us to our waiting vehicle, Jim Hall gave us a quick rundown of syncing technology and using some of the added features. The three gentleman that helped me while car shopping went above and beyond their call of duty! They were friendly, practical, and were sensitive to my situation. I appreciate all three and their hard work and cannot thank them enough for the excellent service, I didn't feel like I was just another customer, but I was person and they cared about what I was going through and were willing to help in any way possible.

I went in just to do some number checking a few months before my lease was up. Turns out the salesman and the finance manager were so helpful I ended up walking out that day with a car. I told them I had a number in mind and they met my needs.

I just purchased my 2nd car from here and I absolutely love everything about this dealership! The people are so easy to work with, they make everything as smooth as possible. Rick Forgues was my salesman and from the time I walked in the door I felt right at home. He made the whole process so easy! And the finance department was just as easy thanks to Fran! I have even had experience with the service department when I purchased new tires for my last vehicle, they gave me a rental car and were the cheapest place around! I always deal with Sherry Longwell and she is awesome! I highly recommend this dealership!!! Oh and I guess I should mention that I obviously really like this place as I am 2 hours away and won't go anywhere else!

After having so many problems car shopping, walking in to Progressive Chevy was like a breath of fresh air. The entire process was quick and easy. Jim Hall, who helped me make my purchase, was nothing but helpful and friendly the entire time. I would definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family.

1/10/15 Found vehichle advertised on their website. Pulled AutoCheck (similar to Carfax) directly from their website. Report indicates NO DAMAGE to the vehicle. After spending an hour with the sales person going over the details of my trade, I was told, the vehichle I came to see has hail damage. I said, hail damage??? Are you sure and how can you tell by looking at the screen? He said, because it's coded a special way. I said, if that's the case, why didn't the original representative (who by the way, wasn't availalbe for my scheduled appt) tell me about hail damage; she knew I was driving 1.15 hours to see this car? After seeing the car, hail damage is an understatement. It looks like someone threw rocks at the car for a week. The salesman then proceeded to assist me with finding another vehichle on the lot. REALLY ---- Bait and switch

Found vehicle with web search - no mention of the severe, obvious hail damage. Their pics online did not show any, description online didn't show, autocheck they provided didn't mention hail. But we arrived - after a 1 hour drive - we found there was severe, unrepairable obvious hail damage.After wasting 3 hours of time, and gas money, giving our personal info to salesman, all before we were taken to see the car, it had hail damage. A waste, disappointment, and why car dealers get bad wraps... because of these shenanigans.While salesman was friendly, they were very obvious, directed, typical salesman. Not normal conversation, but textbook pointed questions designed to trick you into buying a car.A big waste of time... we don't plan on returning.

Used car for teenage daughter. Drove off lot during day-that night realized headlights didn't work. Then found out tires were worn to cords, but the best is that they had wrong size tires on car???? Really??? Told the sales guy NUMEROUS times that safety was #1 priority. Sure--vehicle undergoes a Thorough Safety Check....umm Ok..I would think headlights and tires would be included? They just wanted the deal closed-couldn't care less about a 16yr old kid driving around with potentially dangerous issues.As a single mom I feel they took advantage of me - at the expense of my child. Unacceptable. Oh yes, try and get a service appointment that's convenient for you..not gonna happen. There are many other reputable dealerships in the area. Be safe and avoid this one.

Sale guys were nice but wouldn't give me what they say on radio or tv 4 thousand over what you owe or what it's worth. THOSE GUYS ARE LAIRS ON THE RADIO AND THEY ARE NOT FOR THE PEOPLE.Will not go back to this dealership even though the sales guys were nice and will not recommend this place to anyone.Dodge or chevy

Bought a '13 due to much higher trade allowance and much lower price than 2 other dealers.Came back a year later with a recalled vehicle, and did much the same thing on a new truckEasy to work with Jim Hall, Wally Trace and Craig Sanders on putting a deal together and getting it financed with Challace Kotuce.

Progressive Chevy was one of a few nearby dealers that actually had a "price leader" 2014 Silverado in stock. If you are shopping the OTHER dealers for lowest price- make sure their low price "ad vehicle" wasn't sold last year...... or....... Make sure you can buy it for that AD price without including multiple GM discount programs that you don't qualify for. I bought at Progressive. No smoke and mirrors here. Great to deal with Jim Hall, Wally , Challace and Craig Sanders.

I felt that I was lied to just to get me to travel 40 minutes there to try and sell me a vehicle that was there. The one I asked for,I was told it was there when in fact it wasn't. Honesty is the key in return is respect!!!

The service Dept was great. Being widowed not too long ago and the first time in a Garage can be a little overwhelming. Fred was wonderful. He answered all my questions and said it will be fine and to call if any questions. That is priceless and I appreciate that so very much. If you want to contact me I really prefer by email.
