I have bought new and used cars for over 40 years. During that time I have dealt with many different personalities, from sale people who thing they are doing you a favor when you walk into the dealership,to managers who couldn't care less who walked in. I must say that I have never been so welcomed at Ray Catena of Freehold , so much so that staff and management take the time to introduced themselves and remember your name on future visits. Bill Hoblitzell was patient knowledgeable and went out of his way to help on the lease of my vehicle . I was so impress with the service that I returned several weeks later a purchase another vehicle from him. Robert Lisi explained every feature of both vehicles in precise detail, in a calm ,and patient manor, to myself, and my wife. Matt the used car manager was help in offering the best price for my used vehicles as well as warranty extensions and service. Now the best for last. Leigh Farrell the General Manager of Ray Catena of Freehold introduced herself when I first lease a vehicle. She is warm, considerate , asked if I had any question and spent sometime speaking with me. She made sure my visit was an excellent and professional experience. Each time I visited the dealership Leigh, Matt, and Bill each remembered my name and always greeted me like family. Leigh always made sure I was well taken care of from plates, car washes and great coffee. The front desk Ladies always greeted you with a simile and directed you to the right people. Several weeks later I came in and traded my car for a new one, not just because of the service but because of the care and respect that I received from everyone. When you do visit Ray Catena of Freehold you feel the atmosphere of happy employees that gives off a comfortable vibe, and a relaxing environment to do business. I attribute that to Leigh because of her understanding and compassion in representing herself and the Ray Catena Brand.

I went to upgrade for my birthday on 6/29 and I met with Lenny and Nick. Lenny was very helpful, however Nick was not. He was a bit condescending in his tone with an uninterested posture. There was an issue that came up with the promotional deal I was offered in the mail and he basically told me there was nothing he could do for me and did not try to help to see what other options were available for me. He was going to let me walk out of the building. On the other hand Lenny was great, he worked very hard to close the deal although he had me there for several hours. Robert the Product Concierge, was very pleasant and knowledgeable, explained and demonstrated the features of the car professionally and thorough.

This was most easiest purchase of car. I request on-line quotes and quickly received phone call which was followed by email. With in 2 hours email conversation I picked car with all options. They work with me on price and within few hours I have everything finalize. It took me 10-15 min at dealership to sigh all papers, inspect car and drive very happy customer. With the exception of Nick Traina, the experience with the Ray Catena personnel and facility was positively overwhelming. That was all until the deal was bumped up to the manager, Nick Traina, who was completely unprofessional, arrogant and condescending. He must have missed the customer satisfaction portion of his training. It is actually a shame because it only takes one bad apple to ruin the legacy of a phenomenal reputation.

After visiting other local Mercedes Benz dealers in the Monmouth County area I found this location the best by far! Our sales representative Gina Pantano was friendly, efficient, extremely helpful, and accommodating. She searched high and low for the exact model I was looking for and was able to locate it and deliver it quickly. The management here is also very friendly and we never felt the extreme sales pressure that you normally run into. The other dealers we visited, for the most part, ignored us and also didn't follow up when we tried to get information. The employees here are gracious, professional, and knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to driving my GL for a long time to come and would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a relaxed and professional experience.We'll be back for sure!

I have owned 5 new Mercedes-Benz cars over the last 10 years and even though I live about 5 miles from the Mercedes dealership I never bought at that dealership because the sales staff was not knowledgeable. After staying at the dealership for hours to try to get the exact car that I wanted they never came through or the price was out of line compared to other dealers that I visited . This time it was not that way. I went to 4 other dealers and then decided to go to Freehold Mercedes-Benz Dealer and I was told that the dealership had a new owner. I must say I was most impressed with the staff. Gina Pantano was terrific. I purchased my new car there for the first time. Gina Pantano was very knowledgeable and efficient. She located a car for me and told me when I could pick it up and it was ready when I arrived at the dealership. She was constantly in touch with me throughout the process which was very reassuring. I will continue to purchase all future vehicles from Gina Pantano. Mercedes is indeed fortunate to have such a wonderful person on staff.

My Mercedes GLK lease came due and I went back to the dealer and was lucky enough to get a salesman named Mark Militello.. The salesman was extremely patient with me and took me on numerous test drives. Because I am a woman I have found that many of the male salesmen are very condescending towards women.. Mark was not like this. He treated me like an equal. The Mercedes, the glk that I had for 3 years was a very reliable and fun to drive suv. I was very comfortable in it and it especially had great visibility which in some of the newer cars are lacking especially in the rear window. MY experience with Mercedes and mark militello was exceptional and I would buy another car from mark in the future.

I went to Mercedes-Benz of Freehold to see a used Hyundai Elantra Hatchback that I saw listed online. I expected them to be courteous and bring the car around for me to see and leave me to check it out, but I never expected the staff to jump through hoops for someone looking to buy a trade-in at a fraction of the cost of most of their cars. After Gina took me for a test drive she walked me through my options, patiently answered all of the basic questions a first time car buyer would have, and added no pressure to the decision process. I decided to bring back a family member to see the car, and when we decided to start the paperwork it was already near time for the dealership to close. Steve welcomed us in with no rush, and talked with us while the paperwork was started. Nick smoothed every bump in the financing process with optimism, ensuring us that he would make it work. All three of them, as well as the team who stayed to detail and ready the car to make sure I could take it home that night, were wonderful. From start to finish the same three people helped me and were there until I drove away more than two hours after they expected to be home with their families. If that isn't amazing customer service, I don't know what is..

THUMBS UP for Mercedes Benz of Freehold and Dennis Smith. I recently purchased a Certified 2012 Mercedes Benz ML-350 from this dealer. The vehicle had some minor issues which the dealership immediately tended to and corrected. However, I decide to trade it in for a new 2015 ML-350. I spoke with the salesperson, Dennis Smith who took care of all my issues with the service department regarding the issues I had with my 2012 ML - 350 in his usual professional and expeditious manner. It has, and I believe it always will be a true pleasure dealing with Dennis. He showed me several new 2015 ML 350's and we drove them. Fantastic vehicle. Unfortunately they were upgraded models with more features than you can count, but which I really do not use or want. Therefore, they were more than I wished to spend. Dennis knew that I really wanted a new ML-350. He spoke with management and spent a lot of time with them to get me the best deal he could. He thoroughly went over the huge inventory of ML 350's and finally found one and we test drove it. Not only was it the same ride and handling with less features, but it was within the price range I felt comfortable in spending.I purchased my third Mercedes Benz from Dennis on the spot and the next day I drove it home. I have no reservation what-so-ever in recommending Dennis Smith (salesperson) and Mercedes Benz of Freehold to anyone looking to buy a Mercedes - either new or certified. I'm a long time Mercedes customer who recently moved to the Freehold area. I purchased a certified pre-owned C300 from Freehold Mercedes in 2013 and am extremely impressed with the dealership. The car is perfect of course...No surprise there...But what really impressed me is the level of customer service I received before AND after the sale! I've had the misfortune of dealing with other dealers who conveniently forget your name the moment you sign on the dotted line. I had an unusual issue with my car 1 year after the purchase...The repair was not covered by the MBUSA warranty...I figured I was out of luck but I was wrong. The dealership covered the repair in good faith even though they had no legal obligation to do so! They basically lost all the profit they made when they sold me the car. When does that happen nowadays?? It's refreshing to find a dealer that stands behind their product and is interested in establishing an on-going relationship with the customer. They succeeded in making me a customer for life!

I purchased new Mercedes Benz at the end of October and the total sale was easy and not stressful. My salesman Joe V and the finance guy Nick T were very helpful and easy to deal with. I have already had a problem with the car that I created, by hitting a large pothole and bent 2 rims . When purchasing vehicle, my salesman and finance guy recommended getting the tire and wheel package, which I usually don't, but this time I did. Those two rims were over $1100 each. They repaired both rims free of charge with a smile .Dondi the service manager and Walter the service director were excellent to deal with. I even met the general manager Rich .I would definitely recommend this dealer .

This was the best new car buying experience I have ever had. I was informed of every milestone date in the process: date of manufacture in Germany, date placed on ship in Germany, date of arrival in Baltimore, delivery to Freehold and date of delivery to me. Jack Coffey was instrumental in the whole buying process and even got involved with the service process for a minor problem. The S550 is the finest driving machine I have ever owned. It's like driving your couch.

Nobody enjoys the car buying/leasing process less than I do. I contacted MB of Freehold recently via the internet and was routed to Willie Barron to assist me. I did not want to waste my time - I told him what I wanted and what I needed to pay. I told him I did not want to go over there to waste my time or his, because I already liked the car; it was about the numbers. In a very short time frame he was exactly where I needed to be; no B.S., no grey areas. He made it all clear and where I needed it to be. The day I picked up the car I got a flat tire. Willie Barron turned our frown upside down. I was considering leaving Mercedes for Lexus because a Mercedes Dealer in AC tried to charge me for repairs on a warranty item. Willie gave informed us of our rights, searched out a loaner for us, and got the car repaired by warranty like it should have been. I feel much better staying with Mercedes (in Freehold) and with Willie.

We have been leasing with MB of Freehold for over ten years. Willie Baron is the most pleasant salesman to work with. We have an SUV and were looking to get the GL 450, for the third row, or a Maserati (since we already have an SUV). Willie went above and beyond to make sure that we remained his customers and got us into the GL 450. The Maserati dealer could not believe the deal that we received on our GL making it a no brainer to stay with MB. As long as Willie remains with MB of Freehold we will remain customers. My car finally died after 11years. After paying for two college tuitions and two weddings,I wanted to try and buy my dream car. We are out of state buyers. We went to the dealer two months ago (July 2, 2014) and bought a used 2012 Porsche Cayenne. We got a temporary tag which was only valid in 20 days. The financial manager Billy promised us that we definitely could receive the title in 20 days after the purchase. However, after 2 months, we still did not receive the title. I tried to contact (call and email) Billy many times and ask for the reason, but I got completely ignored by him. No response from financial department of this dealer as well as the general manager. Then we contacted the salesman, Artak, who we think is overall a helpful one. However, it did not make things better. We start to know more illegal things happening there!! He told us that frankly the dealer now still did not have the title and he did not know what's going on there. There is no time frame when they can get the title. He confirmed that the dealer can not know whether they can have the title. I was totally shocked since it should not happen at a such big dealership. It is illegal to sell a car without a title. It is indeed a shame on the dealer. They left a terrible problem to their customers. I am so frustrated to deal with them regarding this issue, as they did not get any follow-up calls and now complete ignore our calls. I do not know when they can have the title or they just can not be able to get the title. I want the truth!!! If we cannot get the title, we will sue this dealer and, meanwhile, report this case to local MVS, BBB, as well as police because of their criminal behavior. All buyers, please do think before step into this dealer.

I just needed to discuss with my wife if black was ok. I called back and we agreed and I gave a deposit. 4 days later they don't have a car and nothing to offer me. How can you do business that way?

Mr. Dan Holden and my experience with him today was horrible. He did not address any of my problems. All he did was waste three hours of my time. I have had my vehicle battery jump started by service 4 times over the last 6 months. My cars battery was replaced months back with another bad and used battery. I spoke with service manager on Friday who told me to bring my car in Monday to have my battery replaced. Dan Holden wasted my time, told me many error codes came up but the battery still shows ok. Also my fuse box cover is missing clips and told me he has to get from a salvage. Really just change the entire cover.Spending 50K on a car at this dealership and this is how i am treated.

I've brought my GL here almost 5 times in 6 months. Every time it comes in, they nickel and dime every single repair, and always push for unnecessary repairs to up sell their services (put new wipers on 2 days before service - was told i needed new ones when brought in here). My recent visit was the straw that broke the camel's back - when it was a 300 dollar AC repair, that rose to 2500 dollars within 30 minutes, since they "forgot" to tell me about a few other things. When i refused the repairs, it became a negotiation - and they could reduce the cost to 1500 - my question is - why are you trying to charge me an additional 1000 dollars, and only when i ask to have my car back, begin negotiating repair costs - when the xxxx has a service center ever been a place of significant negotiation?? Also - they slow rolled my initial repair as i was killing time speaking with sales - in hopes of me buying a car from them. Overall, the shadiest place i've ever been too - they single handedly have almost turned me off from the brand all together. I will NEVER bring my cars there, and have made sure to tell everyone i know to avoid this place at all costs. Horrible, horrible service. Beyond shady operation. BBB complaint submitted. Hope this place goes away and ceases to tarnish an overall great brand in Mercedes.

They quoted me over $4000.00 worth of work and the work did not address the concern that made me bring in the car. When I asked about the issue I brought the car in originally for, they told me they needed to do the work they recommended first and they could not tell if anything else was wrong.

Disorganized, unfriendly, discourteous and difficult to do business with. Had a scheduled appointment made with the sales department. When I arrived,they couldn't locate the sales person. Had to wait 15 minutes for another sales person who was rude and disinterested. The sales manager was of no help and gave me misinformation. I have purchased more than a dozen Mercedes Benz vehicles, but would not go back to this dealership. Their prices were high also. Better off to go to Contemporary Motors or Mercedes Benz of Morristown.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE! Mercedes Roadside Assistance brought me to Mercedes-Benz of Freehold after my fuel pump failed on one of our fleet cars. When I arrived at the service entrance I was greeted immediately by the service manager Dondi Pollera who told me he would get the car into a service bay right away so they could diagnose the problem. He then brought me inside and introduced me to Mary Sabine. From the stack of awards on her desk I knew Mary was going to take good care of me. You can be sure that she delivered! We completed the induction paperwork and she escorted me upstairs to the customer lounge. It was beautifully appointed and peaceful - a great place to relax or catch up on work. The dealership provided a complimentary luncheon. Mary communicated with me regularly during my stay - my car was quickly diagnosed and repaired, the technician even fixed a couple of things he noticed while inspecting the vehicle. This was one of the best service experiences I have ever had. Dondi and Mary took a disastrous beginning of my day and turned it into an enjoyable and productive experience. They really know what they are doing - they really understand service! You can be sure I will return and I will be buying my next Mercedes from Mercedes-Benz of Freehold.

Well what can I say about Mr. Robert Lisi other than he's one of the best sales consultant I've ever came across. I was amazed at how knowledgeable and familiar he was with the Mercedes s550. I was a little rough around the edges but he was always so polite, Mr. Lisi as a person in general is a real nice guy. Overall the experience at MB of Freehold was great. Chantal was working with me for a few weeks in helping me find a 2014 S 550 and when the dealership got the new S class in, Chantal notified me right away so that i could have a look at it. What an amazing place and experience! I leased a brand new Mercedes Benz on 10/16/2013 and was amazed and treated beyond a customer but more like a family member. Paul Vallejo knew I was price shopping and had a deal on the table at Ray Catena of Edison. Paul quickly got in touch with his general sales manager Mr. Lee Jooyeong and offered me a much better deal and an opportunity become part of Mercedes Benz of Freehold's Family. Larry Pius, handled all my new car paper work (took over for Paul) and also the return of my current end of leased vehicle. Mitchell Kasoff looked over my returned end of lease vehicle and give me a zero bill and reassurance that everything has been taken care of. Dondi Pollera, took care of an earlier service issue I had with my returned vehicle that was serviced at an earlier time. Mr. Pollera took very good care of me to make things right. Mr. Pollera cares very much about is service customers and Mercedes Benz of Freehold is lucky to have him working there.As far as everyone I had dealt with Larry Pius and Lee Jooyeong were without a doubt incredible and gave me the most amazing experience. Lee Jooyeong was the guy behind the scenes working out the magic numbers and ultimately making me very happy! I never got to actually meet Mr. Jooyeong but I wanted to tell you thank you for making me a very happy customer.Frank Mastrovito the general manager, even though I did not personally meet him, I attended a dinner they had tonight and every third Wednesday of every month for their customers. Mr. Mastrovito takes very good care of his customers and employees and makes everyone feel like they are part of his family. He is an amazing person and I don't even know him. I use to be a Ray Catena customer with the lease end vehicle I returned today. I never felt like I was ever part of Ray Catena's family. After I bought my car I never heard from Ray Catena again. Never got invited to dinners or special events or anything that would show they appreciate there customers. I had a very positive experience at the dealership about three weeks ago when I decided to purchase my pre-owned MB C300. The staff was well informed, courteous and very easy to deal with. In particular I'd like to single out Robert Frazette who was the salesman that I primarily dealt with. While the car was in a great condition, I also believe that I got at at the right price. Both the sales and Finance staff (Val Pereira, Barry Crincoli) were quite knowledgeable and straight forward in explaining the process and the terms to me. Also, the discussions were generally good without any of the hustling tactics that some of us might have experienced at other dealerships.Overall I'd recommend this dealership if you are in the market for a car.

We dropped our 2008 Mercedes off the evening prior to it being serviced. The overnight drop box was convenient and we had no problem locating the envelope to fill out, as well as a pen to write with. The area was well lit and we did not feel uneasy about leaving the car. I might add... we never made an appointment ahead of time. We happened to be in the area and decided it was best to have the car serviced (tire problem). I had intended to call the dealership the next morning, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received a phone call from Mary first thing in the a.m. with a diagnosis and cost for repairs. Mary was very nice to speak with on the phone, and she was knowledgeable about the repairs that were needed. The completion time for the repair was first rate. The car was ready in just a few hours and when we arrived to pick up the car, it had been washed complimentary. Mercedes Benz of Freehold went over and above servicing this vehicle, when they could have made us wait without scheduling the appointment ahead of time. I would have liked to discuss a few issues I have with my car with a service manager, but there was a meeting in progress and no one was available, but no problem, I can discuss at a later time. I felt that my vehicle was expertly serviced and would recommend this dealership over any other. Thank You for your help!

After several dealerships, we found ourselves at Mercedes Benz of Freehold. Needless to say, this was not a local dealership for us, and the drive, although scenic, was a distance from our home. However, there was an immediate positive difference in the atmosphere, when we arrived. It started with that first hello, and friendly smile. This came from the young woman who initially greeted us. Unfortunately, her name has slipped my mind, and puzzling is the inability to locate her photo on the Dealerships employee website, although, I may have simply missed it. However, that first encounter with an employee within any establishment can essentially retain a potential customer, or result in a quick exit. Ultimately, for me, this depends on the reception, professionalism, courtesy, warmth and most importantly, an unassuming body language. In any event, this young woman sat behind a counter, in front of her computer. We told her our name and upon locating us on her computer screen - she quickly informed us that Rob would be over to meet us.When Rob came over, he quickly said hello, introduced himself, and asked if we cared for anything to drink. Robs demeanor was warm and very pleasant. In fact, his personality proved to be easy-going, friendly, energetic and knowledgeable of the vehicle. As we test drove and discussed the vehicle, I asked him basic questions about himself (i.e. where he grew up). Robs answers were funny, honest and quite humble. Rob was clearly a pleasure to work with during this ultimate purchase. Upon returning to the Dealership, Rob was responsive and answered our many questions about the vehicle. When unsure, his response was to find appropriate resources within the dealership who more knowledgeable and experienced. Robs energy, enthusiasm, and mien remained positive throughout the entire process, and time was not a factor. My overall experience with Mercedes Benz of Freehold was positive. Customer Service was exceptional, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The excellent price for my vehicle was possible because of one man, Frank Mastrovito, the General Manger. Frank proved that patience is a virtue, and that the Dealership surely appreciated my business. However, it would not be at the cost of just another sale. Frank simply required a few more hours. By giving Frank the time he needed, I was ecstatic to learn that a rate was secured that I could not have anticipated or received on my own. We were hopeful about our experience, since the dealership was clean and well-organized. Unfortunately, that's where it ended for us. The salesman was nice, but very nonchalant about gaining our business--almost as if we were bothering him with our used-car purchase. We were interested in a car we saw on their lot. It had one price on the window sticker and the salesman told us it was another price and basically too bad about the price difference. He then insisted that there was no sticker on the car with the price we saw. When we went outside to look at the vehicle, the salesman asked us to walk from the back to the front of the dealership (where they moved our car that was being appraised) and then to drive back to the lot where the vehicle was. On the way to our vehicle we saw some employees drive back to the lot quickly. As we were driving back to the lot, the car was coming back out. Miraculously, when we got to the car, the window sticker was missing. Unfortunately we didn't think to take a picture of it beforehand. Who would expect it to come to that?!PS - We should have done our homework. This dealer pads their reviews by writing their own positive reviews and giving themselves 5 stars. I am a digital marketer--it is VERY obvious they do this and who at the dealership does this. BEWARE: They have an "F" with the BBB!

Paul Vallejo was a fantastic sales person. I am never that guy that buys on the same day and he made me brake my golden rule. He was very professional and knew his product up and down. I have been looking for about three months now and he really was able to make me leave happy and content. I went there just to look but after an hour with him I knew that was the car I wanted. He was able to talk about all the different features and I actually learned a lot from everything he was saying. Even after the deal was done, it was late on a holiday weekend and he would not go home until he went over every single feature the car had. I really appreciate all his time apologize to his wife for having him get home late for a last minute customer. I would certainly recommend him to anyone buying a car. We were very pleased with out experience. We were in the search for a car for a few months now and a Mercedes is what we wanted. We went to one dealership before and then we were just in Freehold for some other reason and decided to stop by at Mercedes Benz of Freehold. We did not think we were going to leave with a car; we were just browsing! We initially were looking to buy Pre-Owned Certified during our search but were open (barely) to leasing a new one. Sometimes the salesmen will want to clear inventory by pushing towards CPO vehicles, but often times they want to sell the new ones. We were vey pleased with Paul; he did not push us in one direction or another. He showed us every option available for our needs in both the CPO and New vehicles. (At other dealers, we asked to look at one, but they would push us to another; specifically when we went to Audi, we wanted to look at a Q7, but the salesman kept telling us we didn't need a Q7 and that wasn't for us and kept pushing us towards the Q5. It made the trip very displeasing.)We were there for a long time, but Paul was not impatient. He ran back and forth through the dealership finding the perfect car for us. No other salesman would have ventured the huge inventory several times in the heat; he went above and beyond his job as a client advisor. He has a great personality and is all about making the client comfortable. He offered us food and drinks and ensured we were feeling good through out the whole process. When were browsing and making our decisions, Paul offered details and advice that were very helpful in deciding which car we wanted. He was very thorough in describing the features when we did choose one. He made sure we were well-informed before we made our final decisions.Had it not been for the wonderful staff we interacted with at the dealership and especially Paul, we would have left without a new car and continued our search elsewhere. We were planning to return to go to another dealership or returning to the one we visited before. We could not be happier with our visit, the service we received, the staff, and especially our new car. We almost did not visit this dealership had we not been in the area that day. The staff was so lovely, we could not resist leaving that day without out car. (Also the perks of being a customer definitely helped us make a deal!)I would definitely recommend this dealership to any one in the search of a new or CPO car. They don't only have Mercedes, they also had a few other brands. While Mercedes was our number one choice when we were searching, we were looking at Escalades, Audi as mentioned before, and a few other comparable vehicles. The Mercedes-Benz of Freehold is definitely the best dealership and the best business of any kind that we have been to, and Paul Vallejo is the best client advisor we have ever encountered.

After doing thorough research on the SUV we wanted, we decided that the ad from Mercedes-Benz of Freehold seemed to be the most promising. Went to the dealership and met Paul Vallejo. His friendliness and attention to exactly what we were looking for, impressed us right away. He took us for a test drive and asked if we had any more questions. The price and mileage on the Jeep were both great, so we decided to buy it. He handled the mountain of paperwork and dealt with our insurance company several times. The next day, we came back and picked up our beautiful SUV! That was back in September 2012, and since then we have gotten many calls from Paul, checking to see how we liked our Jeep and were there any problems (which there weren't). We had a great experience there and would recommend them (and Paul) highly to anyone considering a new or pre-owned vehicle!

Chantal Michaud was one of the most pleasant sales people I have ever dealt with. She wasn't pushy and was very patient while I chose a color with coordinating interior that I liked. She must have brought out 6 cars for me to look at and let me test drive as many as I wanted. Her management team was exceptional as well. Not only did they make sure I was comfortable with Chantal they made sure I was comfortable with them as well. There was no going back and forth on price like other dealers, they gave me their best price and my husband and I felt it was fair. The most annoying part of purchasing a new vehicle is all the back and forth between your salesperson and the management team, at Mercedes Benz of Freehold there was absolutely NONE of that!!! From beginning to end it was a very smooth process. I now look forward to dealing with their customer service department which I heard is exceptionally easy to deal with as well.

This dealer has terrible business ethics. The service dept does not care for customers. They are rude, calls do not get returned, days pass without knowing what is the problem with my car, Service Managers get contacted and neither one of them take the time to reply to customers. They always try to push unnecessary service items like engine flush, coolant flush etc. Never seem to know when your car is covered by extended warranty. There goal is to bang out customers for service over and over!Google "Freehold Mercedes reviews" and you will see other sites all give poor reviews for this dealer. But somehow they get lots of great reviews on dealerrater. Pretty confident that the have someone managing there online reputation by posting good reviews.

I was a Lexus LS460 owner and recently had the opportunity to ride in a friend's S550. I always liked the S550 as it's fairly comparable to the LS460 but I was very impressed with the car and wanted to test drive it and compare it to my car. I had some time to kill last weekend and decided to stop by Mercedes Benz of Freehold. I had no intention of buying a car as I'm only 2 years into a 3 year Lexus lease. Larry Pius came out to answer my questions and took me and my son for a test ride. I really liked the car and Larry was able to put a deal together to get me out of my current lease and into an S550. He made the experience very relaxing and enjoyable, answered all my questions and best of all there was no pressure which is what I like. I have previously purchased 12-13 cars from Lexus so this was a big win to steal me away from Lexus. Nice job Larry!!

On 3/21/13 while surfing the internet for cars for my 17 year old son I came across a nice 2000 nissan maxima GLE. The car was nice looking the mileage was low to be 13 years old (107,000) miles and it had a carfax report and came from one owner. I decided to give the dealership a call and find out if the car was still available it was. The salesman stated to me that the car was in excellent shape immaculate he said they don't usually keep cars on their lot that's 13 years old. He stated that the car came from a trade in. On 3/23/13 that morning around 10:00am I called back and me and Mr. Cliff Patterson agreed on a price of 4300.00 for the car. I arrived at the dealership around 2:00pm I met with Mr. Cliff Patterson and Ana Husman after waiting for about 35 minutes. Mr. Patterson and myself took a test drive in the car it drove excellent but i did notice some exterior defects on the bottom drivers side door and the fog lamps and front and rear side marker lights were not operating. The inside drunk latch would not open the drunk from inside of the car. I mentioned to Mr. Patterson about these problems he stated to me what do u expect from a 4300.00 dollar car. I said you should of told me about these problems before I made a two hour ride to get this car. Then we had a debate over a 30 days warranty after several discussions he finally gave me a 30 day warranty. on 3/26/13 I took the car to PORTER NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN NEWARK, DE. during the inspection the tech informed me that the front radiator/motor mount bracket was rusted out, the right rear calibar was frozen up the fog lights and side marker light have electrical problems and the valve covers is leaking oil. Also the drivers side door hinge assy upper and lower needs to be replaced.I feel all of these items should have been corrected or told to me before I drove 2hrs to come and pick up a vehicle that have major problems. I think it is this company's moral obligation to disclose these problems and to also do a thorough vehicle check before selling any vehicle to a consumer whether its a Mercedes Benz or a Nissan Maxima.

There was a problem with the vehicle that sales promised to take care of, so when the problem was in the process of being fixed I was juggled between different dealerships, the process was not fully explained to me, I had to pay money out of my own pocket to get a problem fixed that was promised by sales that it would be taken care of. Sales did say they would reimburse me for the amount that I put out of pocket but it has been over three months and I have yet to see any check, even though upon contact I am told it has been processed and sent out. Beside this fact once the vehicle was sold and they got what they wanted it seemed as if they did not care what so ever about us anymore. I bought two vehicles on the same day and the second I tried to get back into contact with them the next day to try and resolve my issue, all I got was a middle man running back and forth between me and the used car manager, he was extremely rude in the fact that he did not finish business face to face, and any time I would try and talk to him directly he would completely ignore me. I planned on referring a few people to this location, because during the sales process I was very pleased, but like I said once it came to the point where promises had to be kept I received the worst customer service I have ever gotten in my life, for such a high end dealership you would think they would take care of their customers, but it was quite the contrary. Now I know you might see that I bought a Nissan from this dealership, and you might think that why should they care about a Nissan, but regardless they sold me the vehicle they should steer me in the right direction the proper way, and treat me like anyone else, keeping their promise. I would also like to add that the second vehicle I had bought was a mercedes, and promises where also made while in the sales process for this vehicle, and again it has been three months of back and forth. So now this just proves that they treat even customers who buy their product with disrespect and attitude.

Watch out for these guys!!!!I tried to buy a car from them and they accepted my offer to purchase the car and then they proceeded to sell the car to someone else despite having reached an agreement to sell. They refused to get the dealership manager on the phone and I informed them I would be writing a poor review. At this point Barry threatened me and told me that if I wrote a bad review they would write dozens of false reviews about my company and make my life a living xxxx. These guys are terrible!!!

Chantal, one of their client advisers, was with me every step of the way and really made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. Right from the moment I arrived you could tell how professionally run this dealership was how they make sure the customer's needs always come first. BEWARE, this is my experience. they had a Certified pre owned advertised. it was a 2009 CL63. they sent me a copy of the Certifed pre owned report and it was listed as NO odors, No paint damage, NO damage to Windsheild. below is my email to the dealer when I received the car. Lee,Want to follow up on a conversation I just had with jack. The car was delivered at 6:45 yesterday morning. The delivery guy pulled it in my garage. I walked around it with him for the inspection report and he showed me the dents, scratches and chipped windshield that was not disclosed to me or noted on the CPO report. I then left for work without looking at the car anymore. When I got home yesterday evening I got in the car and the smoke odor will knock you down. There is no way this car could have passed the CPO inspection. On the CPO report the box is checked "OK Passed" for odors in the interior. This also was not disclosed to me. I had a specific conversation with Jack before I agreed to purchase. I said please drive the car and then walk around it and tell me of any issues. I have never purchased a car over the phone and would never would if it was not a CPO. Jack called me back later and said it all checks out great, beautiful car.There were many opportunities to disclose this to me and you all chose not to. Not to mention the errors on the CPO report. My question is what else was checked off of but is not up to standards. I could maybe live with the few exterior issues but there is NO WAY I can accept this car with the smoke odor. I would never expect this from a luxury Mercedes dealer.Based on the above info I want my money returned due to the non discloser and fraud committed on the CPO report. Not to mention you moral obligation to disclose this to me. My wife is allergic to smoke and there is no way either one of us are going to ride in this car, the smell is horrific.They did agree to take the car back but they failed to reimburse my total cost. it took them 30 days to return my money which i paid intrest on and they did not give that to me. I had a fedex fee and a wire fee and I did not get that either. so I'm out $300 not to meantion the constant time invested for that 30 days to get them to follow thru.This dealer has a "F" rating with the BBB, to bad i did not check this out first. leson learned.The resson why I gave them the bad rating is they are not honest people and they still owe me money.

The reason I gave a great review today would be because of the kindness I received from Chantal Michaud. For starters Chantal met me at the front door to greet me (Professional). Since I am already a nervous person by nature, it was very comforting. Now I was not an original lessee of Freehold Mercedes (I was at Ray Catena). I met Chantal at the free dinner and giveaway several months ago. That night she told me about all the wonderful cars that are arriving in 2013. Chantal would follow up with me by email which any real professional sales agent of Mercedes Benz should do. The day I leased the car Chantal tended to my needs which is nice after tending to my clients needs all week. I had prior engagements made before leasing the car and was on a time frame. As your well aware leasing a car takes a great deal of time and patience. Chantal focused the entire time from start to finish and was extremely efficient. When I organically arrived 3 hours prior, I noticed that Chantal's lunch did also. Now that salad went uneaten on her desk the entire 2 hours I was there (on another note I ate twice thank you for the sandwich). Hard work pays off. I love this dealership for their family oriented atmosphere they have. Anybody you talk to, work with, goes the extra mile to accommodate you and your particular needs. Was interested in the Mercedes SUV, so a friend and I stopped by. I was greeted by the young lady at the front desk, and a salesman was called. He arrived and proceeded to insult me. I asked a few questions about one of the used Mercedes they had on display, and he claimed before he could answer me he'd need a copy of my drivers license.Fogeddaboutit. To answer a question? Not a chance.Went down the highway to Ray Catena Lexus - was treated well and bought a car.If you enjoy being insulted - then this is the dealer for you. If not - I'd suggest taking the time to go to Contemporary in Little Silver. From my limited experience with them a number of years ago, they treated potential customers as if they wanted them to become real customers. It seems like this was too much trouble for Mercedes of Freehold.

Nick was great to deal with as was the entire crew at the dealership. He had a great knowledge of all vehicles and was perfect in getting me in the right vehicle. Always drove by the dealership and felt intimidated to go in, it being "Mercedes" dealer. Once I got in I realized these feelings were so silly. Nick and the crew could not have made me feel more comfortable . My husband and I have only been customers since mid-September of last year and in four months purchased a second car through MB of Freehold. The purchasing experience was outstanding Nick Traina did a great job, was always accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable and very friendly. Billy Dye was instrumental in helping decide the best option for the purchase. He was patient, knowledgeable and diligent. After the purchase I have only been at the dealership three times, once for service and twice for minor repairs (body and tire). The service on these three visits was fantastic Dondi Pollera and Barry Crinoli took care of all details. A loaner was always available and offered even when the service took less than an hour (tire). I cant but most highly recommend this dealership. It is evident that the relationship with the customer goes beyond just selling cars. Maybe because the product they sell is so good they feel the service has to match? Nothing less than the best; its a very fitting motto.

I went to see a used Jeep Commander I had seen on Mercedes Benz of Freehold's website. I met Anna when my son and I got to the showroom. I was overwhelmed by the friendliness and welcoming feeling Anna provided from the moment we met her. She answered all my questions (I was doing this without my husband present) and took extra time to show me the vehicle, let me test drive it, and then work on the details with me. Everything worked out the way I was happy with and was going to come back the next day to show the vehicle to my husband and then purchase it..what totally blew us away is that Anna came in on her day off so we would not have to wait longer to get the vehicle! Everything about her shows professionalism and care for her clients. We bought the Commander and will tell anybody who asks us of the amazing service we received! Thank you Anna!

On August 24, 2012, I purchased a used car from Mercedes Benz of Freehold. My salesman, Nick Castaneda, was polite, professional and seemingly competent. The car had a bit of pre-existing damage to the front, lower air dam, so I asked if they would fix it to sweeten the deal. They came back with a price of $400 and advised that labor would be approximately $200, but they would waive the labor if I got it replaced there. I agreed to pay $200 towards this repair. The $200 was included in the price of the car and was placed on a "we-owe" ticket. They agreed to order the part and contact me once it arrived.ERROR #1 - Five weeks later, I still hadn't heard a thing. I called and spoke with Nick, who apologized and advised that he would have the car repaired ASAP. I then received a phone call from the service department who booked my appointment for a few days later. ERROR #2 - On or about October 1st, I arrived for my 10am appointment on time, but was told that I was actually 90 minutes early. ERROR #3 - After waiting approximately 2 hours, Ryan Bender from the service department told me that they had ordered the wrong part. They had ordered a grill piece rather than the air dam. He offered to have my car washed for me. I told him not to bother, as it was supposed to rain that day. He told me that they would do it anyway, and that he would get back to me ASAP with the correct price for the correct part, plus schedule an appointment for me to get the car fixed. 45 MINUTES LATER, I got the car back. That's 2 hours and 45 minutes for me to wait there for what ultimately turned out to be a car wash. It started to rain as soon as I left the parking lot.ERROR #4 - I never heard from Ryan Bender, so on or about December 5th, I called the service manager, Mark Morrill, and left a detailed message requesting a call back and some resolution, as we were now 3 months post-purchase. I asked that they refund my $200, because at this point, I was no longer interested in having their dealership service my car. I had had enough of their inaction and poor customer service. Mark never returned my call.ERROR #5 - On December 8th, I called Mark Morrill again but his voicemail message said he was not in the office. It directed me to assistant service manager Dondi Pollera, so I left a detailed message for him. Dondi actually called me back! He left me a message saying that he understood that this matter involved $200 and he had "NO PROBLEM" getting me a check for same. I called him back and left another message asking him to let me know when I would receive the check. He never called back.ERROR #6 - On December 31, I again called Dondi and left an urgent message asking for the check immediately. I had understandably run out of patience.ERROR #7 - On January 3, 2013, I received a call from my original salesman, Nick Castaneda. Nick asked me for a receipt for the $200 I spent to replace the grill. What?? I explained to him that I had never replaced the grill, had been waiting on them to fulfill the contract (we-owe ticket) which they had failed to do, and that I had HAD IT AND WANTED MY MONEY BACK. Nick said he was under the impression that I had gotten the grill replaced somewhere else for $200. I have no idea where he got that idea from, nor do I care. I asked for an explanation of what he was going to do for me right now, today. He said he would talk to some people and get the check cut for me today. I'm still waiting. STILL WAITING.Perhaps this dealership is good to those customers who purchase new cars, but my experience with their sales and customer service departments has been nothing but a joke. It is infuriating that what we are talking about is $200. $200! It's not a lot of money, but it's my money, and either a repair or that money is owed to me. This is a simple contract that the dealership failed to complete. I paid for a repair and they failed to complete it. End of story. This entire experience has been a tremendous waste of time. One other thing regarding the negotiation part of my "experience". When I initially agreed to buy, they offered me financing of 4.78% and said it was the best they could do. I went online that night and found financing for 2.6% with the SAME company they had offered to me. When I went back to the dealership days later to complete the sale, I let them know that I had obtained my own financing for 2.6%. Their finance manager, Billy Dye, then offered me 2.3%. Why wouldn't they just give me the 2.3% to begin with? Don't they understand that consumers can find better rates on the internet in minutes? They need to wake up.I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. So far I have waited 132 days for them to make right on this deal and I'm still waiting. PATHETIC.

I've recently bought a new car from this dealership and Mr. Lee Jooyeong is the main sales manager who carried a courteous and professional manner. He has a good team and I were able to decide on an exact kind of car and options that I like. We discussed about the sale price, which is understandably always a difficult time. But Mr. Lee Jooyeong had made the process a pleasant one. In the end, we were able to decide on a sale price both parties were comfortable with, which is really a win-win situation. I was able to purchase and drive away the new car on that very day, which had exceeded my expectation. I highly recommend this dealership and Mr. Lee Jooyeong!

At first, I came to this dealership to look at a used car. I was greeted at the door by Anna Husman and she stayed by my side the whole process. She showed me the car I was interested in and I then met with Barry Crincoli who tried to work out a deal with me. Unfortunately, the deal did not work- BUT- it worked to my benefit because I got an amazing deal on a brand new C300 Sport Sedan thanks to Frank Mastrovito, who was very gracious with his deal he offered me. While this was all going on, Anna showed me the whole dealership and I was blown away by the service department and how clean the work area was.After the deal, Frank asked my 4-year old son what he could get him and my son said, "Pizza and french fries." Can you believe that Frank actually went out and bought him pizza and french fries? I was blown away. Like I said, Anna stayed by my side the whole time and even called a few days later to make sure I was still thrilled with the car! Once again- thanks for all that you did for us!

Visited MB of Freehold to look at a CPO C Class. Paul was very helpful in explaining the different packages each car came with. After choosing a car the negotiation process was very amicable. Paul Vallejo took us seriously from the moment we entered the door. As a senior citizen he respected my wishes for a truck. I may have seemed incongruous, but he did the research, gave us plenty of information upon which to make my decision. He took the time to allow me to do a test drive. Paul Vallejo handled the details of the sale, calling my insurance carrier and making the transfer easy to handle.Purchasing a vehicle was much more complicated than I anticipated. I would have been swamped if I had to handle this sale by myself. The one page sheet of estimated costs of the transfer made the banking for the sale much easier. Someday I hope to buy one of those nifty Mercedes I saw on the showroom floor.I never anticipated buying a used truck from a Mercedes Benz dealership, but I was confident that it would be a good experience because of the fine reputation of Mercedes Benz.

I called Mr.Coffey from another state to offer a price on an M3, we then came to an agreed price for the vehicle. I saw a Porsche Panamera they had online and called the dealership. Mitchell Kasoff picked up and gave me the best price. I gave him a deposit for him to hold the car. He put me in contact with Chantal (the sales person) who called me and arranged for me to pick it up. She took the time to walk around the car and described the car to me to address my concerns as I did not want a car that had been painted, been smoked in or with any scratches. She was right on with her description. From my initial phone call to the night I picked it up everything was exactly what they said it was going to be. The condition was excellent and the price was even better. Chantal and all the staff were very friendly. We met with the finance manager and he arranged all the paperwork very efficiently. We met Frank the General manager- a very friendly and genuine person. Everyone was real and very friendly. Our sales associate, Paul was awesome in every single way possible. He not only helped us with choosing the right car for us but was very patient when we were choosing the color combination and if we wanted the car in the first place. I was very impressed with the level of friendly customer service at Mercedes Benz of Freehold, NJ. My sales rep Paul not only took the time to show me a couple of SUVs at 8 o'clock at night, when I arrived just to take a peek at the Black on Black ML350 I saw on their website, he stayed with me till all my questions were answered well after their normal business hours. I purchased a 2006 Lincoln Navigator, on 27 Aug. and have not recieved my plates and registration, as of 24 Sept.. I have called at least 20 times to find out what the hold up is. To the best of my knowledge, what I have gotten as an answer, is, the title for the truck was not signed by the previous owner. I am waiting since the 15th of Sept. when my temporary plates expired. They will not authorize a rental car for me, or offer any form of compensation for my inconvenience, over the last 9 days.

Although my experience wasn't great, I know others that dealt with better sales people and had good experiences. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted ready to buy and was told that there were no white ML350 on the east coast and it would cost me $2500 to have one shipped from California. When I asked about a diesel engine I was told that I wouldn't like the way the car drove...how would the salesperson know what I like? He didn't have any so he talked he down. I ended up going up the road to Ray Catena who had 4 white ML's in the showroom and gave me a terrific price

Going from lexus to Freehold mercedes was like going from the Ritz Carlton to a short stay motel. The dealeship thrives on lies ans deceitful tatics. I will do anything to get rid of my mercedes and go back to Lexus who actually treats you like you bought a $60,000 vehicle and did. Do yourself a favor , do not waste your time at this dealership. I felt like I was dealing with a used car slaesman from the 60's. Absolutely disgusting.Not only was the service terrible then they tried to charge me $1,000.00 more than Ray Catena. I spent days with salesperson John Finley and finally picked a used car but Robert would not come out of his office to deal with me. I asked before I even started looking at used cars that the car be Mercedes certified. After 3 more days of going over prices with John we reached a deal. Incredible customer service that truly lives up to the product that is a Mercedes Benz... My wife and I were able to test-drive multiple vehicles and were put under no pressure to buy. When we did decide to go with the C300, coming to a reasonable price was quick and easy as the team here does not play games. Fair and best prices out of the gate. Bought a 05 C240 4matic for their asking price believing its a CPO but its not according to MBUSA. From the get go very pushy only buy from them (MB Freehold)have a peace of mind. Once you sign the initial sale paper nobody calls back, answer your voice mail or e-mails except Larry. Sent a bank check for the amount owed but lost it.Sent another one and finally vehicle was delivered 3 weeks from original signing with no manuals or the second key. I was not worried as I believed it is a CPO. Now 60 days and 600 miles later I have transmission shifting problem and calling them foran appointment to fix the problem, no one calls back. Towed it to nearest MB dealerwho tells me its not a CPO and gives me an estimate for 6K. Dealership should be proud the cars are selling because of the name brand * not with their effort. Always been a MB owner and am going to pursue with MB USA about the future of C240 and what a disgrace the MB OF FREEHOLD is(:! I even reached out to the management team and not heard from any of them!

Mitchell Kasoff is arrogrant, rude and pushy. He threatened that if I didn't buy from 'his' dealership, I could expect less than preferrential treatment when servicing my vehicle there (I wonder what MB would think of that). He offered $2,000 less for my trade-in (in excellent condition) than 2 other MB dealers, and then tried to justify it with some typically bogus used car salesmam lingo (which I wasn't buying). The rest of the sales staff are equally useless. They don't respond to email at all, and take forever to return voicemails. I guess they just don't want the business. Terrible, terrible dealership for such great vehicles. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

Ok-- so I'm a little late sending this out but..I can't say enough great things about Gary Placona. I think this is our 6th mercedes between my husband and I. Gary has always gone above and beyond the call of duty for us. He walked us through every phase of our lease and made sure we had no question unanswered. He even called us from his vacation to make sure our delivery went smoothly. My husband and I found Gary so easy to talk to and from the beginning Gary did everything in his power to make us very satisfied customers. (Maybe he's the reason we've had 6 Mercedes.)...We keep wanting to come back! Being business owners ourselves, we know that it takes a strong team to have success. I was initially very unsure about which Mercedes E-Class to purchase and Abeth was able help me sort through the choices. I asked them to reset my service light. I was told being that I didnt get service with them (a 4180.00) oil change, they would not reset my light. I guess I would be held hostage to their outragous service prices in order to get the light reset in my car (which takes no more then 20 secs). Its the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. when I told the service guy I do my own service (oil change, new tires, brakes etc...) he seemed upset. Why should we, the consumer , pay them triple, when we could get it done CHEAPER??? All that and they wouldnt reset my service light... what a joke.. I have referred several customers their in the past and I will no longer do so. That light just cost them THOUSANDS in new car sales!!

Wonderful place to take your car. I dont think that there are enough words to express my gratitude to this dealer. I had purchased a used 1997 e 420 from Union Auto in Hazlet(don't buy from this dealer) for my birthday. This purchased ruiend my birthday there were lights on for several codes after being given the run around about the trans sensor and evaporator leak i finally decided to take it to MERCEDES BENZ OF FREEHOLD !!!!!!! They got it right on the first time. My service person was Bill Kause and God Bless my mechanic. Although it had to go back three separate times it was for three separate things. Finally after my July 7th, 2011 purchase. August 7th 2011 has been the first week I have driven the car and it has been no lights. This place I cannot say enough good things about them. They were honest and friendly even when I was losing patients because I was tired of lights being on and the person i bought it from had refused to give me my money back. I would take my car here for minor to major. FYI please turn car off when getting gas this will make your service engine light come on. lol !!!!! Maraj-

I had purchased a 2006 Mercedes from another state. The car had a plastic odor about it and after trying several remedies unsucessfully, I sought help from David Mandeville at Mercedes Benz of Freehold. I had, in the past, purchased a new WMercedes from this dealership and had good results. Within 24 hours the problem was attended to and I was driving home. David Mandeville was extremely attentive and curtious and made me feel as if I were his only customer. Because of him and his work ethic I wouldn't dream of purchasing another Mercedes-new or used-from any other dealership. Every person I came in contact with was top-notch. John Finley made the whole experience of buying a car absolutely fantastic. We had been searching for our dream car at an affordable price for several months. We researched many different cars and visited a number of dealerships. I was extremely confused and had almost given up hope of ever finding the perfect vehicle for us. He explained all the key points of each car we expressed interest in, from the condition of the tires to financing rates to the warrranty involved. He welcomed us to test drive any of the vehicles we liked. He was personable, professional, and made my husband and I feel comfortable. We're from Jersey and often visit the Freehold area,and since my husband had expressed an interest in a used Mercedes-Benz, we dropped in on the Freehold Dealership. We didn't express such courteous service towards a couple from New York who only wanted to look at used cars. Thank you very much!

David is my new service manager for my E550. Dennis used to be and he was great - but he is gone, so I now have David. That said, Dave quickly helped me with my service request on the first visit and had me in for a 2nd visit for warranty work. He did this all and took care of me with updates. Kudos to him and all is well. Will definetely return to see GM for a lease in 2012.

My Wife and I have been faithful Lexus Drivers for years. Due to a bad experience at Lexus of Freehold, we decided explore other options. Like most people, we always dreamed of driving a Mercedes-Benz but assumed that they were too expensive. Nevertheless, we agreed to consider a Mercedes-Benz as long as it was within reason. It was late in the day and the showroom was filled with customers. Every salesman was engaged with a customer, but the General Manager (Mr. Santiago) took it upon himself to help us. He later introduced us to a salesman named Richard who briefly took down our contact information and access our needs. We agreed to come back the following week to test drive a C-Class and hopefully be able to afford one. The following week we made the time to stop by after work, but Richard was not available. The Salesman at the front desk (Abeth Vincent) reassured us that he would cater to our needs. We quickly realized that the title car salesman no longer applied, surprisingly, at Mercedes-Benz of Freehold they are titled Client Advisors. That title would be during our interaction with Abeth. He took us on an amazing test drive and explained in detail the differences between the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sport and the Luxury Edition. He introduced us to the concept of leasing (Something that we never considered) and was nice enough to present both Leasing and Financing options to us. That day, we were able to work out a good deal and realized that we were wrong to assume that a Mercedes-Benz was so far out of reach. Aside from being treated with respect, we were never pressured into making a decision right away. We felt that the gentlemen at Mercedes-Benz of Freehold take great pride in their work. The following day, we came in to sign the final paperwork and was treated to a wonderful Customer's Appreciation Dinner. Our overall experience was truly amazing. Everyone at the dealership was kind and willing to help us. Now I see why they were so busy that first night, lol. More importantly, even with all of that traffic, they manage to make us feel important. For someone who commutes to NYC for work, I know all about being treated like a number. To us, the relationship is much more important than receiving a good deal. I am not sure how, but these guys managed to get it right. We love our new 2011 Mercedes-Benz C 300 4 Matic. We recommend Abeth and this dealership to anyone who's looking to get it right the first time!

I was treated with dignity and respect the minute I walked through the door. Max met me at the door and took me to his supervisor who immediately offered me a bottle of ice cold water. It was very hot outside. Max sat with me and listened attentively and answered my questions. All three of them made me felt that my business mattered. Max explained all the features of the car and called me a few days later to inquire how I was doing with the car. When I returned for my license plate, I forgot the registration. The receptionist, whose name I forgot, took the registration document to me on her way home that day.I don't believe one can find better service else where. Thank you Freehold Mercedes Benz.

First let me say the last thing I wanted was a European Luxury car... let alone a Mercedes-Benz??? I have had various Lexus models over the past 10 years and I figured that anything other than my ES - GS or RX would be a total compromise. I mean you does it better when it comes to features and quality and amenities and leather seats included as well? Well I was convinced that Japan had it figured out when it comes to the American car buyer. I though...Who can do it better???OK so I was wrong. Mercedes has gotten it right... albiet they still limit the amount of amenities they offer (WOW! Cup holders for the rear passengers?) but the brand has never been about fluff and just stuff. This company is all about the driver and is a drivers car which is something they have never lost sight of. Now about the dealership. When is the last time you went car shopping and actually had to wait for someone? My experiences have beedn nothing short of a physical assult to get me attention. In this case, the receptionist was attentive and offered me water while I waited and waited, I daydreamed about my future ride (I couldn't just pick one). Eventually I was approached by the salesmanager. Joe and I just sat for awhile and spoke about all things except cars... especially the house brand. So I told Joe that I just happened by his store that afternoon and had some time on my side and thought I would see what the competition to my beloved Lexus brand has been up to. After we talked about "stuff" I told him I had to get going and asked him if I could take a comparison test ride some other time. We exchanged cards and not another word was spoken otherthan I told him I would be back. He introduced me to Abeth Vincent and said I was in good hands. He was accurate with his assessment as Abeth was extremely professional and his follow-up with me was exceptional. I supposed the result of a company culture that I have to believe stems from the morning mantra...customer comes first, the customer comes first, everything else doesnt' matter.Well guess what? After taking several models out for a spin, I settled on the sweetest ride for under 50K and I'm lov'in it (warning: don't drink the kool-aid) to the point I want to drive all the time. I doubt this will ever get old for me.About the sales process...soft and very smooth. I believe Abeth and I worked a fair deal and the management was gracious about having to off-set the remainder of the payments on my 2010 Lexus 350-GS. In this case, being upside down, we had to overcome some hurdles and in doing so, the sales as well as F & I managers treated me with honesty and respect and made a difficult transaction tenable. You can't ask for more and for me they have earned my loyality and in this case, I see myself a loyal and future buyer of Mercedes-Benz of Freehold. Thank you for making me a believer in what a driver's car should be.

The worst dealership in the world. The salesman kept asking stupid questions, however do not allow you to do a test drive! The supervisor, Joe, is an arrogant ass-hole!!! When we complained, he showed us the door - Unbelievably!!! We went to BMW cross the street, they treated us like a human. BMW X5 is much better designed car, compared to clumsily designed mercedes.

I have been a loyal Volvo owner since 1995 and at one time had 4 Volvos. It was going to take a special car and experince to leave Volvo. I ended up talking with Val Pereira (no relation to me). My appointment was for 6:15 and Val was waiting when I arrived. He not only showed me the car from the outside, the engine compartment and interior, but highlighted many aspects of the car which I was not familiar with. We then went for the test drive. I like to ask about what things car companies need to improve upon and what are some of the short comings Mercedes owners have raised concerns about. Val was able to answer all my questions in a clear, concise, and down to earth matter without all of the "this is a Mercedes" and they have no issues and dont need to improve. I left a deposit and came back the second day for another test drive - armed with more questions. Once again Val provide insight and expert information. We agreed to a deal. I informed the group that I would be taking the car to my mechanic and would report any issues which FHMB agreed would be corrected. My mechanic identified a minor issue with one of the tires. I informed FHMB and received a call back from their Service Department less than an hour later. I am in the customer service industry and just about everyone talks about customer service, but Val lives it. There was no pressure and overall it was an excellant experience. It is easy to see that Val and FHMB are not in the car business but in the customer service business. They will have a return customer!

I had a nice experience at the Mercedes Benz of Freehold dealership. Max Pena made me feel welcome with his demeanor and professionalism. The F&I Director was pleasant and worked to get me a good interest rate. I was there for a little over 5 hours due to a couple of issues but the staff and the amenities provided made the time pass comfortably.There was disconnect between the information posted on Cars.com from the internet sales department and the sales department at the physical location of the dealership. The online listing had the dealer clearly listed as Cars of Freehold. I had my bank issue the down payment check in that name. When I arrived, the name of the dealer was Mercedes Benz of Freehold and my check was not good.Overall I was pleased with the transaction.

We had a great sales advisor (Abeth Vincent). Treated us with courtesy, respect and professionalism. He had completed knowledge of the vehicle he was selling us. The dealership also gave us good value for our trade-in. We did not feel short-changed in any way. The entire dealership (sales managers, financial advisors, front-desk, billing, credit, service reps) were also very professional and treated us very well. Will have no hesitation in recommending this dealership to anyone interested in buying a car fro Mercedes Benz of Freehold.Even if you walk in no knowledge of your vehicle or your trade-in you will not feel that they cheated you in any way into buying or selling your trade-in. They did not pressure us into buying or leasing a car from them. Overall it was a great buying experience.

I was visiting some friends and mentioned that my Saab 97 X SUV was getting up in miles and I would be looking to replace it. Saab stopped producing the SUV so my friends suggested that I stop in Mercedes Benz of Freehold, they said they had worked with a salesman over there and that I should ask for him, that he was "a good egg". I asked for John Finley as they had suggested and found him to be a true professional (I am a salesman, myself). He was courteous, well informed and answered all my questions with clarity and, as far as I could tell, honesty, an attribute fast disappearing. I normally don't give out ratings unless someone stands out to me and provides me with a WOW Moment, but this dealership is really terrific. I must admit I had limited time to peruse the showroom looking to replace my 1997 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C230 4dr Sedan, (which still looks almost as good as new by the way), as I was on my way to a Seminar killing some time. But, I have to say Salesperson John Finley not only warmly greeted me, but he took the time to answer more than a few questions I had, even though I told him almost immediately that I didnt have long to shop. Mr. Finley genuinely seemed interested in what I had to say, and he more than attentively listened to what I was looking for in a car. He even addressed me several times in our conversation by my first name. Its that kind of personal attention to detail, that should not go unnoticed. His demeanor was relaxed, yet confident, and he was not pushy or arrogant in the least, which I found exceedingly refreshing, amongst those stereotyped in his profession. Mr. Finley most especially took the time to show me how much my car has evolved over the years, and all I can say is WOW to that too, and openly shared why purchasing a new vehicle would benefit me. I have say the time he took to share with me made me feel special and at ease, and even though I had to leave, I can honestly say with absolute certainty that I will be back, and its because this Dealership knows how to impress without pressure tactics! all i have to say is sal is a good sales rep and will go the extra mile to find the car for you but once it leaves his hands and into finance good luck. and barry is a d-bag who doesnt know how to return phone calls. also if you are planning to buy a car here make sure your credit is the highest it can be if not dont bother they wont help you at all in getting approve. someone who doesnt return calls makes you wonder if you bought a car here and ran into trouble will they answer. i tried calling for 2 days and didnt get a call back from no one. you should buy a mb from ray catena mb of edison at least they call people back and get the deal rolling.

My husband saw a CLK350 online. We went to the dealership. Sal was our sales associate. Sal had difficulty finding the car as it was not ready to be shown. It still needed to be cleaned up. He wanted us to wait til they did the cleanup but we said we understood and wanted to test drive it. Sal was polite and very knowledgeable about the car. When I noted some marks on the rear bumper, he said that it was a used car. So he was not in anyway trying to make me feel that we were buying a car that they had tried to make look like new. Also a dealership should not put a car online that is not ready to be shown. When Sal told us the price, he was 0.5K over the internet price and my husband had to point this out to him. We wanted to trade our Lexus in. My husband did research to see what his Lexus should be worth. Sal offered a number which was significantly lower. He brought in another man who he said was the sales manager. This man offered my husband what my husband thought the trade-in should. We all shook hands with a good faith deal since we wanted to return the next day to see the car cleaned up and leave a deposit. The next morning Sal called and I spoke to him. He said that they could not give us the money they committed to for the Lexus. He was courteous and said he did not want us to make the trip to find this out. In my opinion, they should have either not made an offer on the Lexus until they completed their research or they should have honored the amount or negotiated a lower price for the CLK. While the day of visit to the dealership was very positive, the fact that they reneged on our handshake agreement in less than 24 hours made MB of Freehold a business that is hard to recommend to a friend.

My dealings this past weekend with the internet group and sales team from Mercedes of Freehold was dysfunctional to say the least.On Friday 1/7 I left David Depaula from Internet sales a voice mail to contact me Saturday AM first thing because I was prepare to make a vehicle purchase this weekend from Freehold. I had seen that Freehold opened at 9AM, so I awaited a call until 9:45AM, at that time I ended up calling him to inquire about the car and informed him I would be buying a Mercedes this weekend. David stated the Mercedes I was going at was available, I explained I had a couple questions on car, David stated he would get the information and call me right back. He called me back 35 minutes later to let me know what options it had, I told Dave that I was well aware of the options, I told him I wanted to know if the car had its recommended service interval and if it was a "Pre Certified Car" ? He told me he would have to call me back again. Two hours later at 11:45AM , I called David back and asked why he didn't call me back ? He stated that he found out that the car now had a deposit on it, I asked why I was not contacted back ? No response, no other offering, so I inquired about another E350 Freehold had listed in inventory, (You would think that a sales person would have done this, it appeared I knew the dealer inventory better than him) Dave stated he would have to call me back about the other car. Five minutes later, a Joe contacted me and was allot more knowledgeable, I wanted to confirm the one E350 had a deposit and the other E350 I was looking at was Pre Certified one owner car like the Internet ad stated, Joe said that the add was wrong it was not Pre-Certified, so I asked if the car has its 60K recommended service and if it was a one owner car like the internet ad had listed ? Joe pulled up the service records and was not able to tell me the service the car had, he stated he would get back to me in 5 minutes after reviewing it with the Service Department, an hour later Joe called me back, he stated the Mercedes that was listed as a one owner pre-certified car was a two owner non certified car without its scheduled service interval performed? I inquired if I could get this car for the same price as the one I just spent 3 hours talking about to find out it was sold, I expalained it was the same model same options and had 4 K miles more than the other car, the reply was NO.Its apparent that the Dealership must be too busy with car sales with the snow we had on Saturday.

beginning about 14 months ago I set out to purchase a new car. I had no specific make/model chosen but wandered into the MB dealer and was shown that much to my surprise I could actually afford one! I met Frank Rickards, my salesman. Frank educated me and patiently endured (without pushing a sale) my over a year long hunt for a car. I must use the following words to describe Frank; enduring (as i called and stopped in frequently without promise of a realistic sale), understanding (he sat with me as i cried over trading in my Ford Excusion of which was passed down via my deceased father)explanatory and thorough (the process of proving to me that MB can be for everyone, I bought a CPO ML 350)and let's not forget: happy. The guy is happy. Not as happy as Joe, the general manger...now that guy is so happy and joyful you actually get a tad freaked out. But the more I walked around, the more I saw happy people. Scott, the guy in finance...happy. He number crunches all day, yet still happy. Don, a second salesman who actually test drove many cars with me even though he knew I was Franks customer (they really don't make you feel like your are a SALE) and do not worry about getting thirsty, they follow you around with water bottles, never mind the killer customer lounge. I obtained a loaner car in the middle of my sale in order to make it to the kids' bus stop. (Loved that ride too)I got the tour and met all of the service people, even the guy who detailed my car. I had a very "happy" buying experience. I highly recommend Frank specifically.

The older I get the pickier I get. The folks at Mercedes Benz of Freehold are the best I have ever seen. They are all about what counts most, quality cars, and honest information. Most dealerships talk about their customers being the loyal ones. This dealership is loyal to its customers. They don't forget who you are, whether you buy one car or a dozen. They do everything they can to get you into the car that is best for you. Once found, they do everything in their power to get the deal done. I mean everything, from setting the right price to financing or leasing; another words "soup to nuts". The finance man, Phil, is the best of the best. The experience of buying or leasing your car just doesn't stop there. Their follow up and service department is top knotch. If it isn't 100%, they will make it so, quickly and quietly. That's what I like. You won't get a "run around" or "excuses". Their sales staff is very professional, the gentleman I worked with more than once, Gary, is knowledgeable, hard working and honest as they come. When it comes to service, you are greeted with a big smile from Wayne, who delivers your car to the service area as if it was his own. Then the entire service department is made up of great service professionals that get the job done, quickly and right. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dropped my S550 off for scheduled service, new Brakes, the previous day and cannot get an answer from anyone to see if the car is ready for pickup. I was disconnected twice, put on hold 4 times with the response someone will get back to you in 15 mins (3 hours ago), called back and got two live voices, the first as frustrated as me, couldn't get anyone fron service to pick up and the second said I will go find out and call you right back. Still waiting for the call and NO car! Service is terrible. I will not be back to have my car serviced or to purchase from this dealer.!Larry Long

I recently purchased a new GL 320 SUV, and after a week the check engine light went on. Mercedes Benz stood by their car and wouldnt stop until they fount out what was wrong with it. There was an engine clog and it was a tricky fix but they ordered me a whole new car, threw in the keyless go system and the rear seat climate control and rear heated seats.! Thanks Guys.. The day I walked into Mercedes-Benz of Freehold I had no intentions of buying a car because I was still in a lease with a Yukon Denali. From the minute I contacted this dealership, I knew they weren't like the others (namely the dealer in Little Silver, NJ). They were professional, and determined to find me the car that I wanted at the price I wanted. Not only did they succeed to do this, but I received excellent financing and a special 2 months free payments! I really couldn't believe it! The other dealer in Little Silver kept telling me that there was nothing available at my preferred price point, and insisted to try to sell me a more expensive car with colors and options I had absolutely no interest in. At Mercedes-Benz of Freehold, not only did they find EXACTLY what I was looking for, but actually followed-up with me continuously to update me on what they were finding (my car was in Maryland). Compared to the other dealership who constantly told ME to call THEM..and when they realized I wasn't going to buy a more expensive car, NEVER CALLED ME BACK- I am still waiting for that call because I would love to tell them that I purchased from Freehold because they wanted and earned my business from the moment I spoke to them! I really am in awe of how painless a process this has been for me! This is my fourth car from this dealer and "professional" sales representative Jack Coffey. Jack is very professional and really cares about the customer. Jack has worked for Mercedes Benz of Freehold for many years and he makes purchasing the car a fun experience. Anytime I want to test drive a car or have questions he always makes himself available. If he is busy, he makes time for me when he is done with the customer. The dealership is state-of-the-art and even has a lounge with food, drinks and coffee when you are servicing your car. The management (Mark) was also great to deal with. I just bought a new G55 and am enjoying it very much! I saw an internet ad for a used car that interested me. I called the dealer and made an appointment to see the car. The vehicle was as described and just what i was looking for. The price was also excellent for the car. I was impressed that the dealer had run a carfax and was willing to show it to me. The dealership had performed some reconditioning and a full detail as well. All of my dealings with this dealer were very positive and have exceeded my expectations. They even introduced me to the service department in case I need them in the future. Phil Katz, in the finance office, handled the final deal. He spent lots of time explaining the extended warrany plan.I very much felt at home at this dealer. In other car dealers I have been ignored, looked down upon, lied to and very disappointed. My next car purchase new or used will be at this dealer. I intend to recommend Mercedes-Benz of Freehold and their staff to all of my frends and family

I have been dealing with Jack Coffey for over 15 years and would recommend him and the dealership without reservation.You are always treated graciously and fairly. Jack is a very patient salesman and will get you the best deal there is available, there is no nickel & diming when Jack is the salesman.There service department (rarely used except for scheduled service)is remarkable.

The experience was extraordinary. ALL of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Great waiting area, beautiful showroom and ordering a car that they did not have only took one day. Best car sales experience I have had by far! I will very gladly reccomend this dealership to anybody looking to purchase or lease a new or pre owned Mercedes-Benz or any other premium pre owned car!

Barry Martin was very knowledgable of the products he was selling and most attentive to my questions. He treated me like a member of his family. I purchased a 2000 Audi a few months back. The price was great and I have had no problems with the car so far. I have received service phone and email reminders which are helpful. This dealer has gone out of the way for me. My new car was ready when promised, the price was right as well. I have used the service department many times and they have earned my business by the courteous professional treatment. Loaner cars are easy to obtain and free of charge. Each time I have been in for service the car is on time and fixed right the first time.The new facility is very well laid out with the customer in mind. The customer lounge is comfortable and well stocked with complimentry food and beverages. Every contact with this dealer has exceeded my expectations.

Excellent dealer in every aspect of service and sales. Has been a great experience.Third car purchased from Freehold M.B in 4 years.I would recommend to anyone.There service is always exact.If they say its fixed it is .I have never had to bring car back for a second time.My newest ML 550 had a scratch on it in a spot where I didn't see It, when I brought it to service, there wasn't a question they repaired it.

With all my service experiences,the price and work done on the car was outstanding. I was given a very nice loaner to drive while my car was being serviced.It was as if I bought my car there. The atmosphere is of a very friendly nature.The lounge is very convenient for internet use and watching television to pass the time away. I would recommend this dealership to anyone getting his Mercedes serviced.

I've had many new cars over the years, of all makes and various levels of models. The ease and speed of making a service appointment at MB of Freehold is just the tip of the iceberg. From drop-off through pickup and then again on post service follow-up, everyone - from the GM all the way down to the folks that wash the vehicle, are friendly, courtious and genuinly concerned with my satisfaction - and they do fantastic work too. And the fact that I didn't buy the car from them (I relocated it from Florida) played no role in their level of service. It was top notch regardless. I only wish that they owned a dealership of my other make vehicle, they are the best and the only place I would ever bring my Mercedes.Thanks to all of you at Mercedes Benz of Freehold.

Ed Gilbert told us, after the sale, that we had been his first Mercedes-Benz customers. We would never have guessed if he had not told us. Our experience of Ed was that he was very knowledgeable about the product, explaining the various classes of cars (we had never owned a Mercedes-Benz before)and, in particular, the features of the pre-owned E350 we bought. Ed's selling style was gentle yet compelling, answering questions, and always asking us into the next step in the process softly yet with some presence. We followed right along, a gaggle of boy scouts to his expert leader. "Ahh, so this is how they do it at a Benz dealer", I thought. "So much nicer than the approach of other dealers." As I said, we would never have known we were Ed's first.You get the feeling of teamwork in the Freehold Benz dealership - the finance guy was protective of Ed, taking over and showing us all the ropes, the manager stopped by to offer congrats, the maintenance guys who prepped the car, and the expert who gave us the "tour of features" -everyone worked together to make the customer experience very easy and enjoyable.It is two weeks later and I still love the car - love everything about it. It DOES go from zero to sixty in under seven seconds and is so smooth about it. It purrs like a lithe black jungle cat. I have been taking curves at 40 that I used to have to brake to get around. It stops as effortlessly as it starts. There is nothing unnecessary or gawdy about this car - everything is quiet efficiency and elegance. The Blaupunkt sound system is lovely. All in all, I am such a happy customer. I have been telling all my friends and co-workers about the deal and everyone agrees that this was such a smart buy that it requires no post-purchase guilt.Sincerely,Cindy McManus

Very nice dealer to buy from. Recommend Jack Coffee highly. When I turned in my leased C class there and released an E, they treated me very nicely. When I turned in my E to replace with a BMW, they made me sign a paper that said I was responsible for the car when it was at the dealer until Mercedes Benz credit picked it up. This cost me hundreds in insurance until Mercedes Credit picked up the car. David Michael is more than happy to lease you the car. Their choice of a leasing company is exactly that. When I return the car I got from David Michael, and they made money on, to David Michael, it should be their responsibility to deal with the leasing company, be it MB or any other leasing company for that matter. Very shoddy and unprofessional.

nice people...but did something that i was not aware of which cost $700 but since it was their fault it came out to $500....overall a nice dealership which will treat you LIKE a mercedes driver...not like a hyndai dealership...they treat you with respect and they do whatever they can to help you.
