None of us want to have problems. We all want it free... And reality sets in... My GMC Canyon needed serviced for a recall and Ray Skillman was able to rectify the issue quick. Let me tell you how quick. Jason and Jay checked me in for service. BEFORE my wife could pick me up (she had to fix her hair..) Service had my truck issue resolved and I was good to go... I barely had time to enjoy a great donut and cup of coffee.. I know all vehicle issues are not as simple, but Skillman's team is intent to make every experience not just memorable but beneficial. This is not just a vehicle sales joint and a grease monkey shop, Ray Skillman Northeast is a great experience..

Our review is for David Schimmel, He met us on the lot and gave us information on the car we enquired about., however we wanted that model but without the sun roof. The team tried to have us settle on the one on the lot but eventually said they would order what we wanted. Although it took some time to be delivered, David would return our calls when we inquired about progress of the vehicle, notified us when it was on its way, and called us when the vehicle came in, He was very excited and wanted us to be satisfied with our purchase. He took the time to go over all the features and make sure we are happy and if we had other questions. Sat with us in the car to initialize OnStar and explained all the features that were new to us. He made it special for us and treated us like we were his only customers. We are happy that David was our first contact at Ray Skillman Northeast GMC, and rates him an A+ employee. K. Palmer

Karl Raines and his team at Ray Skillman have done an excellent job of taking care of my 2008 Pontiac G8 since I purchased it. It now has 265,000 miles and looks and drives like new.. I had been talking with a sales manager for 4 days about a vehicle I wanted. The day I came to see it and had an appointment (because I work a lot) the vehicle had been taken to another dealer the day before. Then they called to bring it back and it had just been sold. Ridiculous and likely story. So, I continued to sit there another few hours. In total, I was there about 6 hours. I wanted to leave. I was frustrated and tired. They didn't have what I wanted in my target price range, so I ended up buying the first vehicle they showed me so I could get out of there. I hate the car I got, it's over priced, So NOT a happy camper. I sat there so long (in the sun by a huge window), I felt like I was being interrogated and finally gave in. The salesman was very nice, and they offer you a lot to drink. I just think they need to be more organized and speedy. And I hate this car......crying now!

Cathy was helpful and encouraging. The car was priced more than Other sellers by about $3000. But my credit is poor and I guess that's my build my credit back up fee. I was disappointed that it didnt come with a warranty. But Kasey stated that if something happens to call her and she would help out as much as possible. Hopefully it works great for the next three years of the loan.

The staff at the "Buy Here Pay Here" side of the dealership was very helpful. Kathy Pancake made the entire car buying experience enjoyable. She was extremely knowledgeable and put me at ease with the entire process. Kathy traveled to another location to actual look at one of my car choices and sent me pictures of the car and also asked the manager of that location to sit in the backseat to ensure the car would accommodate my children's height/weight. They were very accommodating to my schedule. The gentleman who asked what I needed was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Answered my questions with logical responses not "wishy-washy" responses. He was pleasant and helpful. I also love that I am able to work there while my car is being serviced. They have a couple of desks with all the plug and electronic connections you would need. Since I work downtown and live on the south side that allows me not to waste time travelling 4 times. Once to drop the car off, second to go to work, third to come back and pick up the car and fourth to go home. It is a real convenience. They supply bottled water, coffee, pastries - I am glad they have bottled water.Thank you.

This has literally been the absolute BEST service and experience I've EVER had with a dealership. I walked in, they got straight to the point and the process was painless and quick. My biggest fear was getting denied, but not with them. They gave me a chance! When we wanted to discuss the new technology, we were joined by Jordan, who possesses a deep understanding of the many new advances in the comfort and use of the new vehicles. He kept his descriptions of the devices and how they worked in layman's terms. He was quick to show us how to use and set up the technology. I was not able to make my prior appointment due to time constraints, so I decided to take a gamble on a mid afternoon drop in on a Friday! . I only had me new Encore for a week and realized it had an oil leak. I called my salesman, Clay Warner and he told me to bring it in. I did and they had another Encore ready for me to drive home while they checked my vehicle out. I was called the next day and they had found the problem and fixed it. The service was done in a timely manner and the personnel were very kind and helpful. They explained everything to me and I was extremely pleased with the prompt turn around.

Today, my day started by not being able to locate my car keys. I called my sales person Ryan who told me I would need to talk to Service/Parts. About 15 minutes later, Ryan called to see if they took care of what I needed. I was impressed. I called another dealer because it was closer to where I live, but the parts person really did not want to help me to purchase a new key. He really tried talking me out of it by saying I should wait a few days. That would have been fine if I didn't have work and didn't mind my new car just being parked. So I decided to go to where I purchased my vehicle. When I arrived at Ray Skillman Northeast, I was greeted my a service representative that escorted my over the the Parts area. , Jerry took good care of me. I was eventually able to get to work. Upon my arrival to the shop, Jason immediately greeted me and was inclined to (thoroughly) understand my car issues. When I got my tire rotation and oil change I mentioned to Jason I had a rattle but not all the time. He put it on the rack and found a pipe that was loose. (He listened to my problem and checked it out) He ordered the part and they put it on 5/25/16. He arranged for a car to take me home and pick me back up when the work was completed. You have a very nice waiting room with coffee, tea and donuts but no one wants to stay there over 2 hours.

On April 12, 2016, we went into your dealership with questions on an ad you placed regarding $99/mo. for a 2016 Buick Encore, with a 2 yr. lease - would someone explain this to us. We met Josh Benson - nice young man on his first day with R. Skillman. Since Josh was new and therefore new on the subject to Leasing, he asked Tony DiLoreto to help us. We told Tony we had a 2013 Buick Encore that's lease was going to expire on May 21st and we needed to know what to do next. (We were not getting much help from the dealer in Tipton we dealt with originally.)Tony did a great job in explaining the $99/mo. ad. He asked us what we wanted in a car - we told him and he said he would check on finding that particular color and car since you did not have one in stock. While Tony went to do this - he introduced to Ryan Sherrill, a SUPER person. Ryan continued to explain more to us and we did drive one of your 2016 Encores to see if there was any change in the car. Tony found a car - then he & Ryan introduced us to Ryan Bland, who laid out some information on mo. payments, down payment, etc. so we could take this info home and decide what we wanted to do. We put $100 down to hold the car Tony found when it got to your dealership. April 14th, we went back and met with Ryan Sherrill and told him we wanted the car - he got all the proper forms we needed to sign, etc. - then we met with Clay Wade to draw up the balance of the paperwork. Everyone was just great- and we are so glad to have Ryan Sherrill as our "contact person" there. He is such a wonderful young man, not only did he give us a tour of your place, he even showed us where the service dept. was and introduced us to Jim Peck. AND - then Ryan sent us a personalized Thank You note. That young man not only has class and a great personality, he has a terrific salesmanship quality (learned from Tony DiLoreto I'm sure). We are sure he is a great asset to your dealership and will go far in your organization. Mr. Skillman, we never felt pressured, we always felt comfortable and in control. My lease was almost up and we wanted to test drive the new Buick convertible. We weren't going to make a decision for another month. Jordan and Kyle were our salesmen and they were wonderful. We really felt at ease as there was absolutely no pressure put on us. We ended up buying a Terrain instead and the process from start to finish was simple and easy. I was looking for a newer vehicle talked with JD Byrider and Oak Motors I didn't care for the mileage or the interest loan and I was not sure that was the best option for me to do. So on a chance I called Ray Skillman thinking the worst they could tell me is HELL no lady. I talked to Joe Hulsey and did a lot of the paper work over the internet, which made it so easy and less time consuming. I ended up getting a Cruze that I was happy to have with the miles I wanted and the payment that I know I can afford and actually pay off quicker than the loan was actually made for. I will be going back to Ray Skillman in the future to get my next vehicle.

I've bought 3 cars from people getting rid of them for low prices but never had any auto credit. Kevin Barton taught me the process of buying a car and how to establish a good auto credit. He got personal with myself and my expenses which is what more dealerships need learn. He taught me how to buget and to get a car that fits in my budget instead of taking advantage of a first time buyer. Kathy Pancake helped me find a car that was perfect for my situation and did not pressure me at all into buying a car. She is an amazing sales person and really does care about the customer. Not only did I get a great car but also free oil changes through the duration of the payment. I was sold a lemon under Kevin...Kathy Pancake, Jim Schofield, and Kasey helped get me into a new vehicle despite being upside down on the payments. My Ford Escape's transmission went out 8 months after buying the vehicle. Kasey helped me get into a new vehicle and really worked hard to get me back on the road. My family warned me about going into a dealership by myself. Call me opositional but I did it anyway and did I ever prove them wrong! Ryan was the first to greet me and work to find the right car. He was very knowledgable and friendly. Imagine my surprise, when Tony came into the picture as the saleman. There was absolutely no differnce in their knowledge or customer attentiveness. At one point I walked away, thinking I should wait until the new year yet I still kept thinking about how great everyone was to me. The Christmas card I got from the dealership/Tony changed my mind, and I went back to the dealership and bought my car. I would have eventually gone back regardless but I was impressed Tony didn't forget me or my desire to own a Buick Encore. Sean played a role in the transaction by showing me the knobs, dials and screen info in the car. It was done with tremendous respect, not treating me like an technology idiot, which I am. I left my car for the day - the service included an oil change, recall repair, tail light repair and tire rotation. They called after about 4 hours stating they were already done with everything. They also said they did not perform the tire rotation because I didn't need it done as my best tires were already on the front of the vehicle. They staff was courteous and friendly - they followed up with my prior to coming in as they wanted to make sure they had the recall information correct so that they could ensure the parts were in stock or ordered in time for the repair. Great experience!

I called early in the morning, they admitted they were busy, but would squeeze me in. The provided an estimate and finished the work by mid afternoon. We went to this dealership expecting to waste all day in a futile attempt to get a car then leave embarrassed and in tears because of our past credit history. I was stunned when we were told we qualified for financing through their buy here pay here program. We have been turned down on several attempts through other similar dealers. We were even more amazed when we were given the option of more than 1 car. None of our options had 150k plus miles, body or interior damage as so many we had looked at. The car we left with I would feel safe driving cross country on vacation. I can not say enough good things about Kasey and the staff at Ray Skillman!! Had my car towed to a RaySkillman Mitsubishi and was told they could not service it, that's after paying a diagnostic fee and they would not provide me with any sort of transportation, including shuttle service to work. So I called Jasaon at RaySkillman Buick, who usually service my car, but I moved further away from that location, and Jason listened and told me to bring my car to him and he would take car of me. I drove my car to Jason on a Friday and he said he would look at it first thing Monday. Jason also insured that I had transportation to and from work each day. On Monday, Jason called me and informed me of the problem and said it would take four days to fix. Jason also informed me that he was able to get it under the manufacturers warranty and that I would not have to pay the extended warranty deductible. By Thursday, my car was ready as he promised. I can honestly say that Jason gave me the white glove service! This dealership has the best customer service (Service Department) from top to bottom. They listen to customers concerns and take it very seriously. Jason, you really took care of me and I really appreciate everything!

xcellent experience from the time I walked on the lot. Was on a time crunch when I got there, they helped me do the test drive and appraise may car quickly. Very friendly, no pressure. First trip to the dealership we didn't agree on my trade in value but Ken Detty kept working on trying to find a buyer for my car. He called me the next morning and had a good offer. I really appreciated how he treated me and was extremely respectful to me even though we did not agree on the trade in the first time we talked. It was very evident they wanted your business. After that the purchase went great. Gary Dean and Dillon Ruggles were my sales staff. I can't say enough about Dillon, extremely pleasant, jumps to his feet to help you, had all my paper work ready. Helped me with after market products as quickly as possible, answers his calls promptly. He wasn't even my primary sales person. I really appreciated every thing he did for me. He makes you feel like you want to buy more and more cars from him.

Dealt with a new, but very knowledgeable specialist that was able to answer my questions, point me to the trucks that fit my wish-list, and ultimately, got me to the truck I ended up buying. They worked to get me all of the rebates and discounts I qualified for. At no point did I feel pressured. I felt like my business and presence were appreciated, welcomed, and valued.Interesting that another Skillman dealership - not 5 miles away (Skillman Chevy at I74 & Post Rd) had NO INTEREST AT ALL in selling me a truck - or having me in the store just a few minutes before I stopped at the GMC dealership. This is our second experience with this dealership and the sales representative. We live nearly one hundred miles away from the dealership and purchased a new Terrain from them four years ago after finding the vehicle on their website. This time we searched their site and found an Acadia that we were interested in. When we called, it was no longer available, but our sales rep took down our preferences and found one for us. They had to go outside their own family of dealers to obtain one, but they had it at the dealership for us when we arrived. I was stranded on a busy interstate, and my car barely made it to the turn off - on a busy Friday, at 3:30. I was approximately 2 hours from home. Luckily the turn off I chose was the one where Ray Skillman is located. The service department was very busy finishing up there Friday, yet they took the time to not only diagnose my car, but they fixed it to. I made my regular scheduled appointment for my routine oil change. I presented on-time for my oil change. The staff was very professional and friendly. They checked me in right away and got right down to business. They offered me refreshments and something to drink while wait in a nice,clean waiting area, which also had a large television for watching. They had other forms of entertainment, such as, the daily paper and a variety of magazines as well. They showed that the valued me as a customer by getting my car maintenance completed in a timely manner and making me comfortable due my short stay. I can't say enough about the service department. The entire team is outstanding. I was having trouble with my Bluetooth connection and Emily found the problem and fixed it. My husband and I recently purchased a 2014 Chrysler 300 from Ray Skillman on E Washington. First, I'd like to say that this was the most stressfree car purchase I have ever made. My husband chose a car he liked. We don't have the best credit, however we still went with the car we really wanted. We worked on the purchase end with Tony Dyer. Tony was a very kind individual. He took his time to explain everything to us. As I doubted my credit and worried about being denied for financing, Tony remained positive and optimistic. He constantly spoke to us as though we were going to drive home in our new car that day. He was knowledgeable, intelligent, hardworking, honest and very respectful during his end of the process. Kara Ostewig workd on the sales team. She helped my husband with the car he liked and was very kind and helpful. She was very nice and let my husband take the car for the day and put gas in the car. Ray Skillman deals with I believe 40 banks when trying to finance a customer. Clay Wade, the finance manager was very calm and knowledgeable and made the financing process very easy and fun!I have purchased many cars in my life. This was the most laid back, positive experience I have ever had. I have had some very terrible experiences dealing with car dealerships in the past!!! I think the sales staff is sincere and hardworking. I will definitely purchase my next car from Ray Skillman. I never thought I'd see the day when I would get an outstanding deal on a low-mileage, gently used, full-size sedan. I recently purchased a 2012 Buick LaCrosse at the Northeast Buick GMC dealership, and my experience there was second to none!! My experience there started with Kristin Miller, who was a sweetie from the start. She and I had been emailing back and forth for awhile, and she was totally patient with me. She was aware of the fact that I was in the market for a lightly used Buick LaCrosse. She was very kind in keeping me posted on their inventory, and encouraged me to stop in. I also spoke with Dillon Ruggles, an Internet salesman who was also very patient and really listened to my concerns. Tom Ackerly and Tony Dyer were absolutely WONDERFUL to work with... they were HIGHLY instrumental in getting me that UNBELIEVABLE (almost unreal) deal on a gently used LaCrosse!! I also had the pleasure of working with Sean Beck, who took me on the test drive. He was super patient and low-pressure. His product knowledge was impressive. I got to work with BobbyLee Estabrook in the Finance Dept. Working with him was a walk in the park, and he made the whole process seem super easy. He was able to get me amazing rates and terms on financing, and was able to beat what my bank had to offer. He carefully explained the importance of getting an extended warranty on the car, citing the many benefits of this. He was flexible and willing to work out a deal for us on this. I had been (exhaustively) car shopping at many other dealerships for months, but these folks put a end to my quest. The staff that I worked with at Northeast Buick GMC were PHENOMENAL, and made the whole experience virtually painless and quick. This dealership comes highly recommended to anyone I know that is in the market for a new (or new to you) vehicle. These guys were amazing. This dealership is top-notch; they offered my family and I free drinks, and we were treated with the utmost respect. I would like to thank each and everyone of the staff that I worked with. This dealership is like no other dealership I have been to and I've been to a lot. The salesmen do not act like salesmen at all they are some of the friendliest people I have met. They are not trying to sell you a car you cannot afford and they do not want to sell you a car they know you will have problems with. We were under a very short deadline when our vehicle was totalled and Jim Schofield worked tirelessly to find us a replacement in less than 48 hours. Tony, Sean and BobbyLee were very helpful. I have known Tony for a few years before coming into the dealership. Was looking for a used Chrysler Town and County. Even though I wasn't looking at a brand new GMC/Buick, time was taken and attention was paid to make sure they could find me the car that was the right fit for me. I would have liked to negotiate the price a bit more, but I felt it was fair and the negotiations for the trade-in were smooth and the agreed upon price for the trade-in was fair. I have had several opportunities to purchase from Ray Skillman Buy-Here-Pay-Here. For the first time I did, and that was the best decision of my life. I told Jim and Kevin what I wanted and how I wanted to make this work. They HOOKED me up. On the cold day of going to sit down with the two, I realized that Jim was a sweetheart and Kevin was NUTS... I left running out of there in tears becuase they had me laughing too much. This was one of the best car sales deal I have ever closed on. I am not originally from Indianapolis, but this is the only car dealership I will go to and have purchased cars from here since 2000.

About a year ago, I purchased a used Hummer from this dealership, and had some issues with the purchase. Dave stepped in and, in very short order, corrected them all to complete the purchase. On 6/27/14 I made a deal with Ray Skillman (which took 3hours) to purchase a 2014 Yukon trading in my 2011 Tahoe. I had a pay off of $4900 which they knew. I also had been very upfront on what I wanted in the deal. I went to financing and signed a contract, purchase order and received an affidavit for title. On Monday I received a call stating they "forgot" to include my payoff and there was "missing" paperwork. So the three hours to get this deal together was a waste of time and I was told they made a "mistake". I really loved the Yukon and was so disappointed over the deceptive practice. This was my first time dealing with Ray Skillman GMC.

I witnessed this first hand. They are very friendly and focused on whats best for you right now. They sat down with me and discussed my best fit and financial fit for me. Tony Dyer did a great job working with me when I bought a 2011 Buick Regal Turbo on 12/31/13. He did not use high pressure tactics, just a very nice person who knew what he was talking about. I would buy another vehicle from him in the future. I drove 2 hours to buy this car and I am happy with my purchase. Tony even worked with me after the sale to make things right which is something that does not happen very often, I truly appreciate that. Thanks TONY!!!The only part of the deal that I did not like was working with the finance manager, he was high pressure and tried to sell me an over-price warranty...I wish I could remember his name.

I normally do not write reviews but this experience was the WORST dealer experience I've ever had. Do not shop at this overpriced joke of a dealership. Apparently you need an IQ of less than 50 to work there. We told Clay Wade, the "sales manager", and Scott Harp, his assistant, our vehicle and price requirements no less than three times and they didn't get it. First they brought us the wrong car, we had one requirement, that it had a third row seat. The first car they brought us did not have a third row seat, after waiting 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment to see the first vehicle. The next two were fine cars but were way over budget come to find out. The one I wanted to buy, the price went up three times. First they told me one price, then it went up a thousand and then when they finally brought over paperwork with a price, three hours after our scheduled appointment (we only really looked at 2 cars), it had gone up another thousand. I reminded the Clay of our budget and told him we weren't going over so we waited another half a hour for him to tell us no, our budget wasn't going to work. Mind you, our budget was $500 more than bluebook suggested retail value and I was not financing the car. They were asking $4500 more than bluebook suggested retail value and $4000 more than my budget (at least that's what the final price on the paperwork said). I thanked Clay and Scott for completely wasting 3.5 hours of my time, especially since I had to buy on Saturday and they had now wasted a majority of my day. The only worthwhile part of the experience was the free can of pop I got out of the visit. I ended up buying a better, higher valued car, in budget at a competing dealership so if you want to overpay and spend hours at a dealership, visit Ray Skillman Buick on Washington and ask for Clay Wade. Kathy greeted me before I even entered the door. She was smiling, friendly and instantly made me feel a little more at ease. I had been to other dealerships before and due to my "lack" of credit was never able to get a loan. Kathy explained how everything worked and we immediately started the process. At first I was doubtful that I would be able to get a car. But with Kathy working her magic she was able to get me into an amazing car. I also spoke with Jim, he was equally as helpful and friendly. I put a $500.00 down payment, on an left over 2013 GMC truck. I found a better deal at Andy Mohr Buick/GMC Fishers. So I decided not to purchase the truck at Skillman's Northeast. They refuse to refund my deposit because I decided to purchase the truck elsewhere. I didn't sign any contracts and have the right as a consumer to change my mind. Can't believe they don't want to refund my deposit. Never seen grown up professional business men work in this manner. I have filed complaints with the BBB, Attorney General Office and General Motors. My next step is to contact an attorney and file lawsuit against the dealership. Once again no contracts were signed and they do not have the right to hold my deposit. How petty and desperate to sale a truck, treating a consumer this way.I would not suggest this dealership to any consumer want to purchase a vehicle.Thanks,Mike Walton

My experience with Kevin and Kathy was positive from the moment I entered the dealership. I appreciate that they took a lot of time with myself and my family members who were with me. From offering drinks each time we were there to being understanding about my being choosy with which car I wanted, they were there to support me and to earn my business. I did not feel like I was being pressured about my decision, which is very important when choosing a vehicle. The free oil changes for the length of the time of loan is a very nice perk to purchasing a car from them. I had to return to the dealership a couple of times to work on paperwork (my situation warranted this, not the service of the dealership) and they were accommodating and friendly each time. I love the car that I chose! It's very clean and feels brand new to me!

This location also has a Buy Here/Pay Here Ray Skillman next to it and that's where we originally went. There we met Mr. Barton and Mrs. Pancake. After filling out the application they realized that we qualified for a newer car which was available on the other lot. So Mrs. Pancake walked with my family and I to the other lot and showed us cars. Once we realized that we wanted a lower price range she asked for Mr. Zappla to assist us and he was able to find us a car that we were looking for. 4 bags of chips, 2 cokes and a lot of signing later we are now the proud owners of 2007 Buick Lacrosse. In our price range and the right monthly payment for us.They really work with you here and take the stress out of what is usually a stressful search. We couldn't be more happier. I came into Ray Skillman just to look while my sister was working with Kathy on purchasing her new vehicle. It was just after my car accident so I was not sure if the insurance company would fix it or total it. I had gone to several other dealerships to look around prior to coming into Ray Skillman NE. Kathy asked me some Qs but she was not pushy. I shared a couple of requirements and she pointed me in the right direction... to Bobby Lee's trade-in! Thank you Bobby Lee for trading in the Edge. (I know you miss it but don't worry it is in great care!)Kathy was so gracious to make sure I was able to test drive it and even take it home for the evening. I cannot begin to put into words the amount of positive energy that I experienced at Ray Skillman. I was able to lease a new Verano by the hard work, trust, and genuine caring shown to me by Dom and Kyle. They are fabulous, personable, and very helpful. We chose this dealership for two reasons, the sales person and the service department. We met Mrs. Pancake a two years ago while in a preliminary search for a vehicle. Although we chose not to purchase a vehicle at that time, she made a great impression. Enough that we purposely sought her out. She was fun (Sassy Flapjack) and personal. We have another GMC vehicle that we purchased from the same location (previous dealer). The current service department was fair and prompt. Joe and Tom in the finance department were great too! They wanted our business and made it happen with a great deal. We appreciate the extra work and time it took to make the deal happen. In our case credit was not an issue, just the overall payment. Most people are leary of dealerships typically they just seem seedy, but this dealership is awesome because of the people.

Gary and his team (Samantha Pollyea & Dillon Ruggles) are, in a word, awesome. The positive, friendly, professional manner in which they treated my wife and me, last Friday (August 23), is a bloom from the flower that Gary planted nearly 3 years ago when I first met him and bought my Terrain. What a great experience! My wife and I spent a couple of weeks talking, researching, and looking at different vehicles before we decided on Ray Skillman. The Skillman dealership was the first dealership we stopped at in our process. When we arrived we were met by Kyle Poole and another salesman. Both of them made us feel welcome from the first instant we arrived. We were greeted, asked what brings us out today, directed in the right direction for the vehicle type we were interested in and then left to look and talk, privately about what we saw. The whole period of time we were looking Kyle was there to answer our questions, clarify vehicle options, and provide some comparison information between vehicle types. When we left that day Kyle had provided us with all the information we requested, his card, and a wish for us to enjoy the rest of our day. At no time did we ever feel pushed or overwhelmed by Kyle and his presence. We spent several more days looking at different vehicles and dealerships. All the dealerships had nice comparable vehicles that were in our price and comfort range. The one thing they were all missing was the attitude and professionalism that was demonstrated by Kyle. We felt pushed towards a specific vehicle, pushed towards making a decision right away, and we were hovered over so much that my wife and I couldn't even discuss what we had seen without being overheard by the salesmen. The day we finally decided to purchase we were given a test drive, description of all the options, and additional time to discuss our plans, without pressure or interruption by Kyle. When we had made our decision Kyle and the finance person, Tom, treated us with respect and were totally concerned that our decision was exactly what we wanted, not what they wanted to sell us. I really didn't think that he would be able to purchase a car by himself without needing a co-signer but they proved me wrong! We bought our first car on the Buy Here Pay Here lot a few years back. We had a leased vehicle from from the Ray Skillman and it was through GMAC and we had never been late nor missed a payment. We ran into some majoir financial problems and had to file Bankruptcy and at the end of the lease we had to turn that vehicle back in which was an Envoy.Even though we had never been late or missed any payments GMAC would not finance the vehicle. This was the same time that the Buy Here Pay Here Lot was getting a Start Up and they did not have many vehicles on the lot but Kevin and Cathy worked with us to find one that my husband liked. Kevin was able to put him into that vehicle. Both my husband and I were worried about the whole situation since we were used to driving the Envoy that was newer and less miles - we were scared that we would have a major breakdown or problems. We had that car about four years and we went looking on that lot again because our Bankruptcy is still has a little more then a year to go. My husband found a vehicle he loved. It was a Friday before a long holiday weekend and they told my husband to take it home and drive it around for the weekend and come back on Tuesday and they would have the paperwork done. It's Tuesday and they almost have all the paperwork done. The Buy Here Pay Here people are great to work with. We have no complaints. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to buy a used car with or without financial restraints.

I went back thinking i had a while before i could qualify to go across the street to the new car lot. I was wrong. I decided to buy my truck at Ray Skillman, because of Kyle Poole. Kyle was very friendly and he did everything possible to get me a vehecle that suited me with the budget I wanted. Kyle took the time out of his day to make several follow up calls a few days later to see how things were going, and when retruning to the dealership late in the evening he was happy to stay after closing to help me finish up the paper work so i could take my truck home that night, he even told me to bring it back the next night and he would have it cleaned for me. I worked with Keith Cooper for almost 2 weeks on trying to find a used car that would fit my budget. I was in a car accident in which my car was totaled, and I needed to buy a new one ASAP. I had very poor credit, but had money from the insurance settlement for a down payment. The people at Ray Skillman got me financed without a co-signer, which was unbelievable to me. They also had a huge used car selection, and found the perfect vehicle for me. The sales man was very helpful, and did not pressure me at all. Buying a new car can be scary, and after this experience I am confident that I bought the right car from the right person.

I purchased a 2005 Buick Rendezvous from in Juy of 2011. I have been happy with the car but was not very happy with the sales process or the way I was treated. I had received a mailer from them saying that they would give me $1000 more than blue book value on my 2002 Pontiac Grand Am. After I brought it in and they gave me a trade in price, I went shopping. When I chose to go with an older car, all of a sudden they didn't want to give me the trade in value b/c "it would not be a good deal for them". They had a "Certified Used Car" sticker on the windshield and gave me the rigorous checklist the car went through to get such a badge. After I brought it to my mechanic, he said that the transmission fluid had not been flushed. Again they were annoyed when I held them accountable to completing the "certification" before I purchased the car.The experience left me frustrated enough to the point that I did not think I would go back there.Then I got a mailer a few weeks ago saying that they are in need of 2005 Buick Rendezvous' and would make a competitive trade in offer of $8,050, plus they would provide an ADDITIONAL $9000 off select new vehicles. There was a little handwritten note from Joe Beck that said, "Isaac, $8050 for your trade"Of course, I didn't expect them to deliver on the advertised promise (especially w/ an * that states "we are not responsible more misdirected offers"). But since it's 5 minutes from my house I thought I would take 20 minutes to check in. So I first asked them to see the select vehicles they were giving $9000 off. No one really knew what that meant, and said it was a discount available on top of the line GMC trucks if you have a family member that works for GMC. I brushed that off and asked them to tell me what they would give me for my trade so we could start there. They came back with $6000. I asked the guy if that was any more competitive of an offer that I would get if I had walked off the street without a mailer telling me that they were willing to give me $8050 for my trade. For the first time, someone was honest with me and said "no, it's just a mailer to get you in the door". After the consistent deception and aggressive sales tactics they employ I will not recommend anyone trust them with their time, trade-in, or money. I also noticed that they offer incentives for folks who leave positive reviews on this site. So I can only assume that the reviews are skewed in their favor.

I had the best time picking out my car from the dealership. Kevin was awesome to work with. I love the fact that he said lets look around and pick out the top five cars you would like and then he told me which ones would best fit my budget. It wasnt like other places were they gave you 2 options and said pick one.He did a wonderful job.I have already recommended for a few friends to go see him.Kathy was also wonderfull she made balloon animals and flowers for my kids. Kathy also went on a test drive with me so I was more comfortable driving around in a city I didnt know.I just dont think they realize how much they did for me and how much it ment.

I just picked up my second vehicle from this dealer. This first vehicle I had was in good condition and reasonably priced. I had one minor repair done (also through the dealership) and it too was reasonably priced. I traded that SUV in today for a larger SUV. ALL the staff were very helpful, answering all my questions, and very willing to negotiate terms. I have to say I am astounded at the deal I received today. Once you do business with this dealership, you will never want to go any where else. I can not recommend them highly enough!! I purchased a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT from this dealership on Thursday September 20th, 2012. I had been in contact with "Charlene" who is not listed on this employee list. Charlene answered what questions she could, and "forwarded" questions that she couldn't to Dominic. I got an initial phone call from him, then did not hear another word from him until the day I picked up the car. I was trying to sort out a trade in, and was told I would be called back, but never was. I again contacted Charlene to inquire about the trade in and I was again "forwarded" to Dominic whom I never heard from. I notified Charlene by email the night before I came to pick up the car, but when I arrived I was told that the main key was "in a salesman's pocket who isn't working today". This is unacceptable to me, if the employee made a mistake he should have brought the key back on his own time. Dominic said that he would overnight the key to me Fedex the next morning, Friday September 21st. I did not have the key or any word about it on Monday September 24th so I emailed Charlene. She emailed back and informed me that the key was "on it's way via FedEx". I waited until the key finally arrived today, Thursday September 27th. On the FedEx package it says that the ship date was Wednesday September 26th. So basically I was told it shipped just to "shut me up" since I had been inquiring about the key. Unacceptable. Price was great and I'm in love with the car, it's unfortunate my experience ended how it did. Awful customer service aside, Dominic and Charlene were very pleasant and nice people!

I must say I have been to a couple dealerships in the past and I have never experienced great service from a sales person as I did from Kevin at Ray Skillman. He was very patient, knowledgeable about what he was talking about, Kind, and had a great sense of humor. I bought a Pontiac G6 from Kevin not only because the car had everything that I was looking for, but because of how truthful and honest Kevin was about explaining all the details that come with buying a car. Trust worthy people are hard to come by now days especially when you are in a business of selling cars because most of the sales people are trying to make a sell and could careless about what happens to the car, or the long term commitment that person has until he/she pays the car off. I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone who is looking for a car. I really appreciate the curiosity he showed my parents and I while we were there.Juan A. Young

I had a oil change/tire rotation appointment scheduled for 10:30 today. I arrived at the service department at 10:25 to what seemed to be a very busy service department. I was met by a service employee and communicated that I had a 10:30 appointment and was informed service was running 1hour 15 minutes behind. At this point I told the service employee I could not wait that long and was not offered to reschedule later in the day or maybe the next day. I would suggest if your customers have an appointment time and your service department knows they may be running behind, they might call to reschedule for a later time or next day. I was in a financial bad place. I had been treated badly by two other dealerships and was a LOT worried with a car needing replaced before winter. Kevin had me reassured and in a very nice newer vehicle by that evening. My payments are set up nicely, I just call on payday and its taken care of in less than 5 minutes. And oil changes are free too! WOW!!!I have NEVER been more pleased with a salesperson or a company before! My next vehicle or two will be from this dealership and hopefully from Kevin himself!!! I worked with a few of the sales guys at this dealership after visiting a few in the area and by far these guys were the best. I am 31 and have bought a few cars in my life. I will definitely be visiting this dealership again. I actually visited their site and filled out the credit app and was contacted by Dominic to verify my info and set up an appointment. I walked in the next day and before any of these guys realized I had an appointment was greeted and felt very welcome within a few minutes. After introducing myself I was introduced to Dominic and Dan and was told what would work within my budget and presented with options that fell well within what I could afford. I ended up purchasing a new Buick Verano. I have had this car for only three days now and every time I get in it to get to my next destination I find something more to love about it. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. I will be going back to this dealership when I'm ready for my next automobile purchase. I just hope that if the guys that I worked with aren't there that I'll be treated just as pleasant as I was this time around.

I visited the Buy Here Pay here dealership and first spoke with Jim who was very nice and kind. He explained everything to me about their business and took the time to listen. I really appreciate what he did for me. I was undecided a few times after visiting this car lot because of prices/downpayments. Ultimatley I completed and application, Jim said my application was approved, he told me how much I had to put down and everything. He told me before I could get the car I needed to speak with Kevin(the Finance Manager). I go in with my downpayment in hand ready to purchase a Saturn Jim and I had spoke on the phone about several times. When I was finally introduced to Kevin(finance Manager)he was rude, arrogant, shady acting. If this was a true buy here pay here lot, they would not give you the 3rd degree about your credit worthiness because they know you would not be there if your credit was the best. I interrupted Kevin's questions by telling him if he was going to keep questioning me I was leaving. I did just that! Most buy here pay here lots have high mileage vehicles that are not well maintained anyway. So why bother to ask a bunch of questions when the cars are junk anyway. The saturn I test was in bad shape and one of the sales guys admitted to it as well. He told me it needed an exhaust system, why put it out to be sold if this was the case. Kevin doesn't care about anyone but himself, and he is very arrogant,rude and nonchalant acting. I will not recommend this Ray Skillman to anyone!

I made an appointment with Rachel to see a 2001 Honda Accord for 2:30 pm today. She called me at noon to confirm and I told her I would be coming in at 7:30 pm today instead. When I arrived She and her little dog sat my friend and I down at a desk and went to talk to other employees. Subsequently, a man (name unknown, picture not in list above)came over and said he was the available salesperson. He asked what prompted me to be interested in the Honda and I told him it was mileage and price and he informed me the car had been sold that morning. Rachel certainly had my phone number and could have saved me a trip to your dealership and a very unpleasant experience by simply calling to inform me the car I was interested in had been sold. I will not ever do business with this dealership and I will make certain that my friends, acquaintances, family and anyone else I come in contact with will never do business with them as well! The car in question was on the internet as a new addition, no photo available.

My whole experience at Ray Skillman has been wonderful. I came in looking to trade in my car and ended up walking out the same day with a jeep. The staff is so nice and welcoming from the time you come in until the time you leaveI really appreciate that they are great with kids being brought in too. They don't act like its a bother when customers bring in there kids, they even have coloring books and crayons for them. My salesman, Tony Dyer was absolutely the best. I did quite a bit of research, and had many questions before I came in to look at the Acadia-Denali. He did extensive work for me in answering all of my questions. Tony did not put pressure on me about purchasing the vehicle, and that is what I wanted. Joe Beck, the Sales Manager, introduced himself, and was also more than willing to answer any questions. Dave Oldham assisted in getting the proper title work done and the payment. I received a call from Rachel on several occassion regarding purchasing a vehicle. She was the key reason why I stop in becasue I kept putting her off. She was so persistent in schedule an appointment with me. My sales agent Gary Dean spoke with me briefly and know what type of vehicle I was interesting in. I had know ideal was going to leave with a New Terran. Finally Bobbylee the Business manager took time and explain to me my payment options and give me tips on receiving a higher creditscore. Great team work; I know that was their job but some how I felt they were looking out for my best interest.

Initially I was there for service on Pontiac Grand Prix. While waiting I inquired about trading in 2 cars. Kathy has sold me 2 cars in past so that is who I went to with my questions. She always makes me feel welcome and makes the buying/trading process as painless as possible. BobbyLee made me feel at ease and explained everything when I saw him to talk over the financial part of the dealing - even though I was slowwwwwwwww understanding some of what he was saying. :) Anyway after I got thru that process Kathy got me set up with Onstar and then I drove off with my 2011 Buick Regal CXT Turbo - and yes I am very please with MY NEW CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I walked in with an idea of the features that I wanted, price point I could afford, and not a lot of time to waste.. Gary not only zeroed in on what my needs were, but had the perfect match within a few minutes. I am in sales and know a con when I see one- Gary was honest and upfront, and I had a great discount to meet my budget in short order. I had a new car (that I love!) by the next day. I should mention that when I stopped in I had been on the way to buy a car at a different dealership- the difference was how hassle-free the Ray Skillman NE dealership was, I had been looking for days. Wish I had stopped there first!(Next time I will!)

Thats what I call service. Tom Ackerly was also very polite, It was the best experience I have had a dealership ever. My husband and I had been shopping for a vehicle for 3 weeks. We have been to several car dealers. We were just about ready to give up when my husband decided to try the Ray Skillman on Washington Street. It was already around 8:00 pm. We just happened to run into Joe (Manager) while we were looking at vehicles. He asked if he could help us.I told him what we wanted and price range. I just could not beleive the time he took to spend with us. He put everything on paper about a vehicle we were wanting to purchase. No other dealer did that. When we did find something we liked at other dealers the price always changed from the sticker price. Joe was excellent. We have never received service like that before while shopping for a vehicle. We also worked with a sales lady by the name of Cathy Pancake. Again, she was very professional andI can't even find the words to express the service we received. I will certainly go back to this dealer for any future buys. Both of them represented themselves as I would expect a car sales person & manager to do. I am so grateful that we went to this location. Such great people. Even the finance man was so friendly. I don't remember his name. Again, very professional. They all took the time to help us and we appreciate that so much. I really have no problems with the service but I think an hour to change the oil and rotate 4 tires is a little long. Its my thought that while the oil is draining you can rotate at least 2 out of the 4. maybe all 4. But overall I think the reps are very courteous and do their best to get u on ur way. I have been going to this Dealership for over 30 years (even though I have one that is closer to my side of town that I live and have been to the other location on south side of Indy) but because I have always gotten the best treatment from this particular Dealership I continue to go. Even with exchanging owners a couple of times I have still recieved the Best treatment there and will continue to go and recommend.

I had a rough experience with an oil change chain store and communicated this to Ron over the phone. He quickly made an appointment for me to bring my car in. I was pleasantly greeted and spoke w/ Ron. He said they would take a look and sent me to the very nice waiting room w/ coffee and donuts!! Ron came in and gave me some very good news in a friendly, casual manner which I appreciated because all too often women are spoken to condescendingly when dealing w/ car service at other places. He also was thoughtful enough to match the oil change price of the other place since it was the price I was planning on getting at the chain store. Very impressive!! Oh and they ran my car thru the wash! Great service all around!

I own an older vehicle so proper service is very important to me. I was very pleased that all my concerns were addressed and all my questions answered. I felt that my car was carefully evaluated, problems were taken care of and good suggestions were made for proper upkeep. The day we picked up two brand new vehicles, a 2011 Terrain and a 2011 GMC truck will always be remebered. The beautiful red Terrain was exactly the vehicle, including the color, that I had been looking for. The GMC truck, on the other hand, was to be a surprise gift for my grandson. Kathy Pancake and the whole staff at Ray Skillman NE Buick GMC were like family! They had the surprise attack all planned - red and black balloons were tied all around the shiny black truck and they even made signs with his name in the window, with another sign saying, "Love Gran". He was SO surprised, especially when Kathy put the keys in his hand and let him know it was all his. THANK YOU KATHY PANCAKE FOR MAKING A MONUMETAL MOMENT A MOST PRECIOUS ONE!
