I would not trust this group. No loaners available I was told. There seemed to be plenty there upon arrival. A $2500 bill after a check up. Yet I needed emergency work the following week in NYC. Another $1800 bill and that dealer let me k ow that it absolutely should have been caught by red bank. When I circled back to red bank, blank stares and we have spent a lot of money there in service and car.

We have had the good fortune to deal with this dealership for about 20 years, buying or leasing. I still have my 2005 V70. They don't do the volume they once did but, they still offer great deals on Volvos. In Sept. 2015 picked up a super nice 2011 S60 after taking it home to Long Island for the weekend to have my own Volvo mechanic check it out. I've owned a Brick almost continuously since 1972 so, I'm familiar with the product & have first hand experience with safety when one of my sons hit a tree at 40MPH in a 2008 S60, totaled/demolished but, he walked away. I'm a hard-to-please customer, if Duane & Rich can't satisfy you, NO one can...I may be in the market for a slightly used XC70 soon!

I called this dealer regarding a one owner Vovlo xc90, drove to dealership, took it for a test drive and made an offer. They declined the offer which was very reasonable so we decided to leave. Several weeks later I still noticed the same car on their website so I called again to and made a stronger offer...they still declined the offer. Two weeks after that, I see the same car still for sale but for less than my INITIAL offer. So, I called and happened to get the same salesperson. I said I want to place a deposit on the car and he asked if I wanted to come test drive it. I said that wouldn't be necessary since I already did weeks ago. I went back to the dealership and bought the car in cash at their full asking price. Our experience was beyond lousy, the salesperson was absolutely no help, and the key fobs I received after signing everything looked like a dog used them as a chew toy. (If Cars.com allowed customers to post photos I would just so you could see how ridiculous this key fob was) The switchblade key fob actually was superglued in the out position permanently and it wasn't even straight. I actually laughed when the salesperson handed it me thinking it was a joke. To show you how much they appreciated the sale...Red Bank Volvo did NOTHING when I asked about a new key fob! Therefore, I bought a new one online for $30 and paid someone to program it. All I can say is this dealership was far below my expectations. The only good thing about it was their location was close to my home. I never went back for service nor any other purchases and tell this story so that you know what I didn't before I bought. I'm buying now another new xc90 and when I saw this dealership on car websites it cracks me up to see they actually had good reviews. I thought others should know about this example prior to making a purchase at this dealership as they simply DO NOT CARE about your business or you. Do yourself a favor and drive further and pay a little more at a dealership that will treat you right. (Notice I didn't say perfectly, or like a King, etc... I was an easy to please customer and they blew it) Good luck.

I leased a Volvo XC 60 all the way from southern New Jersey. I went 1 1/2 hrs despite having a dealership 15 minutes from where I live . This dealership was recommended to me by USAA. I went through all details over the phone everything was confirmed via email. I did all this without having to get help from my husband. I never once felt insecure or pressured. I got the price just as it was promised. I have purchased/leased several cars.I can truly say this was the most smooth hassle tree transaction I have ever done. when I got to the dealership, I was in and out in 30 minutes. I got my plates as promised in the mail. the manager Dwayne and the owner Rich was personable and available to answer all questions. I would recommend red bank Volvo without hesitation.

After reading all of these review, I was truly convinced they were the best until I actually bought multiple cars from them. Every car I have purchased from them was over priced and not worth all the problems. I have been there 2 times every month (not exaggerating) since I purchased my sedan, and my SUV had to be sold after 2 years. My SUV was never taken care of properly by this dealer causing it to need new engine and transmission. These were not covered under the warranty after 2 years. Really. They threw my money down the drain. I'm extremely disappointed in not only their mechanics but their service department. They were nice the first 3 times but then they would give me attitude and would talk behind my back when I was in the same room. No ethics!!

We purchased a 2009 c70 certified 2 years ago at Red Bank Volvo. This car is our little "cream puff" , and only use it on summer days when we can put the top down. Our trips to their service department have been few . Two weeks ago, the tract for the front passenger seat broke.On the day that we picked up the car , I didn't have my glasses on and it was a rainy day. A few days later when we took the car out, glasses on and the sun was out this time, we where shocked to see that the aluminum that framed the arm rest and the radio/ climate control was BADLY marked up. Now to be forthcoming the floating island did have a few marks from the pervious owner. The arm rest was brand new, replaced when we bought the car. Knowing that it would have been a few days ,before we could get to Red Bank, my husband took pictures and E mail them to the service manager, Chris. When we made it to Volvo , I think two days later, the manager Chris, came out of his office waving his arms in the air saying , " MY guys didn't do this." My husband told him how can you make that assessment when you didn't even look at the car? . After going back and forth a few times my husband saw that this was going no where, we requested to speak to the owner, Richard. When Rich walked out of his office, my husband , offered his hand to shake. To our disbelief Rich, refused this good will gesture. It was a precursor as to how this was going. We are a mature couple and have owed many cars in our day. From Jaguars and Mercedes to Dodges and Chevy, we have NEVER be treated in such a manner.The adjective that fits it best is attacked. Within a few words the owner of Red Bank Volvo was red faced ,aggressive. Stating that they didn't have to remove the seat to repair the tract, ( which we found out later that is FALSE they do ). That I must have banged it with constantly with my, phone, ring, bag,etc. OR my adult sons might have taken it out one night for a joy ride. Unbelievable !! Even when my husband pointed out that the driver side was brand new and the side that the seat was removed to do the repairs was full of nicks and scratches. Then he recalled the fact that when we first brought the car to service two years ago ,they had to replace a door handle. YES you did , you admittedly broke it when working on the car!!My husband and I both deal with the public and know that it take all types, people have a different view , but the owner had no excuse for his behavior . In our opinion he was rude, aggressive, totally unprofessional.So off we went to Edison on Volvo. I can't tell you what a world of difference! And when they heard of our experience at Red Bank they where even more so. In our opinion, Edison Volvo is the dealer that is hands down the car dealership that you should purchase you car from. Happy with our Volvo.

The sales person was excellent and spent time with me answering all my questions. He was very friendly and honest. He gave me a very good price. My car was custom built and the sales person gave me an estimate date and the car arrived on that exact date. Another positive item to note was that in the time I signed a contract for the car and it being built and delivered, Volvo offered a new promotion that the sales person made me aware of that I was eligible for and he saved me an additional $1,000.

I found this dealership from cars.com, and got contacted by a salesperson Duane Washington. We negotiated the price through emails and I came in last Saturday morning trying to finalize the price and buy. The moment that he heard I wanted to work on the price, he said "GOODBYE", and I was trying to say sth else and he interrupted and said"GOODBYE GOODBYE GOODBYE" in a very rude manner. I never agreed on any price offer previously nor did I waste any of his energy. It was purely rude and no respect to customer. Whatever price he offer, that's the kind of people you don't want to deal with.

This was my second purchase from Duane at Red Bank Volvo. My first experience was quite painless and enhanced the joy of buying a new vehicle. Duane is a no nonsense sales associate with years of experience. His experience has not jaded him as is the case with many car sales associates but rather made him a more effective asset to the dealership.I was offered a great price, my vehicle was delivered clean and displayed to permit all of its beautiful lines and details to be seen.The service and parts departments are quite wonderful as well. They are easy to deal with and nothing is ever a problem.I highly recommend Red Bank Volvo and I highly recommend the Volvo vehicle as well. I love my second Volvo more than the first and the first saved my and my passenger's lives in a recent accident. I would find it very difficult to purchase any other vehicle from any other dealer.

All I can say is WOW!!!! Having Lexus and Acura as my previous cars I have to say the service and the sales I received from Duane was above and beyond. I originally went to Garden State Volvo and had such a bad experience with a salesman by the name of David Valentini, I actually walked out of there because he wouldn't even get out of his seat to help me. So I decided to go to Red Bank Volvo even though it was a little further. IT WAS WORTH IT!!! Having a personality and the willingness to help the customer is most important to me when buying a car. From the moment I called Red Bank Volvo to going there and in the end leaving with the XC-90 was the best car dealership experience I have ever had. I strongly recommend them!!!

We read the reviews and thought this dealer must be wonderful. Checked out their inventory online, did some looking around and found their prices to be a little higher than other locals. We were OK with higher prices if value and service matches their fee. Went to the dealer and it went downhill from there. They need to work on first impressions because we were disappointed specifically in the lack of interest considering nobody was there buying anything. We all have bad days, but I was certainly taken back when the person greeting us was more interested in their facebook page and pointed to where to go vs. getting the sales rep to come meet us. Lack of follow up, and no answers to our questions from the sales rep really surprised us considering the reviews the dealer received on cars.com. We chose to take our business elsewhere, and did. It's a shame though because we were looking forward to buying our "family vehicle" that day and had to wait till we found someone else willing to become our volvo salesperson...for life.

We called the dealership and spoke to Duane to discuss details about the vehicle and expected costs in addition to the sell price. Duane had the car waiting for us (we had a 50 minute drive), handed us the keys and had us drive it before even talking sales. The price was good and there were no hidden extra charges. We left the dealership with the car, plates and registration - very convenient. In all it was as good as an experience in buying a used car as one could expect.

What a great experience. The "no pressure" approach to sales works for me. Have a question? Count on getting the answer as the sales force here knows its product. The salesman took his time demonstrating the cockpit, formidable but user friendly and fun getting used to. Went down to red bank to look at a jeep they had on the lot. These guys were gentlemen when I appeared in buying mode. Aside from the beautiful Volvos on the lot, they had some high quality used cars. And one of them was a gem of a jeep. After buying the jeep, which was a painless process, my transmission starting slipping. So I called down there to have something done about the issue . This time around, they weren't so prompt. On the contrary they didnt return my calls for 5 hours! And the ball got rolling only because I went down there. After inspecting my car, they put the blame on me and said I ruined the transmission. Customer service and benefit of the doubt went right out the window.... They basically called me a liar.... A car salesman calling someone liar is the height of hypocrisy, and rudeness. Did they tow the car for free? Yes. Did a dime come out of my pocket? No. But the month it took for my car to be fixed and the filthy loaner inside and out they gave me, along with the initial attitude is enough for me not recommend this place. The true test of a person or business is when they're faced with unpleasant conditions or adversity, and how they handle it with the customer. For this they fail at the top. That's not to say all were bad there. There were a couple of individuals who stayed in touch and were professional, like Chris the shop manager. That's all I have to say about that.

We went into Red Bank Volvo a few weeks ago to look at the new XC90. We loved the car and the service we received. We met with Tom who was very friendly and helpful. We were quoted a competitive price that was even less than I expected. Tom explained to us their pricing philosophy and financing options and put no pressure on us whatsoever. We went back one more time for a second test drive and decided to buy the XC90 shortly thereafter. I can honestly say that this was the most pleasant car shopping experience that I have ever had.

After almost 10 years of leasing, I finally decided to take the plunge and buy myself a new car. I'm a reporter, so I always have a million questions. The salesman, Tom, I worked with answered every one. What I liked most is that he was very sincere, not scripted like many others I have encountered in the past. I purchased a Toyota from them last month. Everything went fine, i picked up the car on Friday and the following Wednesday the check engine light came on. They paid for the tow back to the dealership, fixed it the next day and delivered the car back to us over 2 hours away. Although I wasn't thrilled with the check engine light coming on, they came through for me.

I bought a old Volvo S80 for my daughter. I had a certain budget and they had the best one I cold find for the price. I'm writing this review not about the purchase but how they took care of me after the sale. About a month after we bought it the window fell of the tracks. We made an appointment to fix it since we got a warranty that would cover half the price. The window regulator broke and they had a used one they would put in at my cost of 150. I agreed to the work and when I picked it up they told me the owner waived the charge and it was done no cost. I coldnt believe it.

I bought my son a Volvo as a first car and they must have put $2000 into it, fixing everything it needed. They replaced the brakes, tires did a tune up and everything. We still did bring it to a mechanic who recommended that we buy it. Really good experience. See Peter.

This is my second Volvo purchase through this dealer and with the same salesperson. I owned my previous Volvo for 10 years, and all of my interactions with this dealership have been positive. From the time of purchase, through routine maintenance visits,I have been treated courteously and with respect. Would highly recommend.

Brought my car in for service on a Saturday - which was wonderful for my busy schedule. The waiting area was very comfortable. I have an older Volvo. Andy went through the list of things I needed, explained what should be done first and what was important and what could wait. The prices were very reasonable and my car has never run better. Will be returning for regular maintenance;)

Brought my car in for service. I dealt with Chris and this was a very good experience considering that I haven't had good experiences in the past. He took the time with me and I didn't feel rushed. The drive thru service was great.

I bought my son an older used car and my budget was under 5000. After shopping around and being disappointed with the condition of most of the cars I was referred to Red Bank Volvo by a co-worker. They didn't have a huge inventory, but what they had was pretty nice. Most of there comments explain what was done to recondition the car and not some fluff about how I'll be "riding in style" or some garbage like that. You don't see that in other listings. It passed my mechanics review and car has been great. See Tom, he was very helpful.

I was in the market for a new car and thought a Volvo was out of my price range. I stopped by Red Bank Volvo on a whim just to satisfy my curiousity. Boy was I surprised by the outcome. I left with a new S80 T6 AWD at an unbelievable price. They understand what it means to provide luxury cars with unparalled customer service. No pressure haggling with the sales manager. I even got my plates that very day to save an extra trip. The staff is friendly and eager to provide drivers with what they want. I've found a dealer for life. How many other drivers pledge that kind of loyalty after one deal?!

After shopping for a Volvo through a great number of the states Volvo dealers a friend suggested that I visit Red Bank Volvo. I was pleasantly surprised at the reception I received upon entering the dealership and the ease of which I negotiated the purchase of my new S80 model. I am in the market for a new car. I have been looking at different brands of cars and Volvo was one of those brands. I stopped in to Red Bank Volvo to look at their S80 car. I did tell Mr. Washington that I was interested in pruchasing a new car, but I was still shopping around. Without any pressure, Mr Washington treated me as if I purchasing one of his cars that day. He provided me tons of information about the S80, including the numbers that would work to my budget. He left me with a smile and for the first time I finally felt good about walking into a car showroom. I am almost done with my search for a new car. But I have to say that I compare all my searches with Volvo. I admit, Im a very shy person and Im not very good with, "face to face" conversation. Thank you Mr. Washington & Red Bank Volvo ! It is so nice to see a car dealer and its employees treat us so nice and as if we were the only customer they had. We have a Volvo xc70 that we just bought from another car dealer from another state. We were visiting in the Red Bank area trying to head back to our home state when our car started driving very poorly. We had called and spoke to Curt pretty late in the day, he had told us they were very busy with holiday coming up and didn't think that we would be able to get a look at the car until after the holiday. I had told him that we really need to get back. He put us on hold and asked the service manager if he could possibly squeeze us in.Chris and I think the shop foreman stayed late to look at the car for us. Once they found out what it was I informed them I had a used car warranty from the other dealer. Instead of telling us that he couldn't honor it and trash the other dealer, what most people would do in this situation he actually called the other dealer to see if they would pay for the repair over the phone, and he was willing to give them a discount to boot. I want to command this dealer and the staff for there exceptional service. You don't see service or people so dedicated in the this day in age, especially when they have their own families to go home to the night before a holiday week end. Thank you!!!

OMGosh poor customer service and refused to work on my son's car because it was an older car. I own (4) Volvo's and went to another dealer and they were great. Even though I got a better price from Red Bank Volvo for a S60R I will not be buying it from them.

I purchased a used 1999 Chevrolet Blazer from Redbank Volvo. The engine turned out to be defective and the service Mgr. assured me that they would stand behind the warranty and replace the engine. Redbank volvo did a great job and also installed confidence with the installation of the engine.A great place and friendly atmosphere.

If you are looking for a Volvo and you live in NJ you have to go to Red Bank Volvo. It is the only place to shop. They treat you like you are part of the dealership. It is family run and it feels this way. Peter Comitto is the person you want to see in the showroom. He has been there forever and he will treat you very well. The service department is wonderful. They have never left me hanging. They have always delt with my car like they owned it. It does not matter if it seems small to you it is important to them. This is the best dealer I have ever used.

In my view, they have a track records of poor quality of work and inflated prices. Again in my view, if you send a car in for a small problem, they will often suggest it has much much much bigger problem and ask you repair something may not broken at all. Many times their diagnosis are dead wrong!Be Careful! you can be duped big time!The small repair shop in Freehold is much more honest and provides much better quality of repairs.

This place is the best. We've stopped in many times any were always greeted like old friends. They get down to the important stuff quickly and they are never high pressure. It truly makes a difference when the people you deal with are pleasant. This is the first review we have ever left and wouldn't have, unless we had the experience of the service department to help us with the bluetooth. All promises of good service have been keep and we might stay with them forever.

Red Bank Volvo was highly recommended to me by a friend from Riverview Medical Center.My daughter needed a safe and reliable used car..We selected a Montana Mini Van andmy daughter loves it. Richard Matthews and Bob Simmons are class acts and took care of us from the beginning to the end of the sales process...We have had the car for 2 months has performed extremely well in a difficult winter...I would recommend Red Bank Volvoto anyone who is looking for the personal touch that is sorely missing in todays cardealership...The agreed upon final price didn't change and the car was detailedwhen we arrived to pick it up..Richard and Bob were professionals and understood afathers concern for the safety of his daughter...Strongly consider this dealership when looking for the safety of a loved one..Jmul....

The service manager Chris treats his employees like garbage. This guy must have learned his people skills via a comic book. I will never set foot in that dealership ever to purchase or have my vehicle serviced. Hi - I leased a 2007 Volvo S40 3 years ago, and had a wonderful experience at this dealership. It was my first time buying a Volvo, and the sales procedure was hassle free and I was able to obtain a fair deal with minimal haggling. I just returned the car, and the whole process was very smooth. The dealer was very amicable and fair in all of the negotiations. I would not hesitate to visit Red Bank Volvo again.

After more than a decade of experience and my last Volvo being in the shop every 2 weeks for 2 years I found that my wife was right: every time I brought it in they would break something else. And how about the time that they left a huge ratchet wrench in the engine compartment. When I told them all they did was ask for it back. Too much attitude and not enough humility here. I am sure glad that my last Volvo was just that---MY LAST VOLVO - ever.
