Love these guys, they put me into a new car by the time I needed to be in one, they talked me throught the whole process and made sure I understood everything. They are reliable just like the name says and they have the best customer serivce i've experinced from any car lot in Iowa.

Bobby and Co. took really good care of me. I was in an accident on Turkey Day and needed a good, reliable car. I viewed their website and found my 2003 Ford Escort - I was instantly smitten. Bobby and Co. did a great job of getting financed and out the door. He sent me friendly calls and texts to make sure I was satisfied. I would definitely recommend Reliable Motors. They genuinely care for their customers. :)

From the moment I stepped onto the lot I felt comfortable. Their selection provided a good variety to pick from, which was difficult because they have so many nice choices at all times. I didn't feel pressured at all, I've been around enough to know the process and Bobby was great about not making it feel like one. I would definitely not hesitate to buy from this company again just because I feel they have the know-how to offer good value not just something to get you off the lot. I feel comfortable telling others about Reliable Motors and will keep doing so. I've already sent them a buyer and I will do it again if I hear someone talking about needing a good vehicle. Don't let the size of the facility fool you, it's all in the attention to us buyers that matters most.

This was the first time I've bought a car before I always just had my parents old ones so I was a little nervous about buying my first one. I had been shopping for about a month and a half and couldn't find a car or I would and I would not like the dealer and thought he was trying to take advantage of me. That is until I came into Reliable Motors. As I pulled up Bobby the owner was showing some customers around but quickly came up to me and introduced himself and showed me where to park and told me he would be right with me. There was a couple cars I was interested in and than I saw a 2007 Toyota. I really liked it and sat down with Bobby to discuss it. I don't have the best credit in the world and my employment time is pretty short. He said that it might be a problem but he went and called the loan people after I was denied and explained my situation and got them to change there minds. I called him everyday for a week trying to figure everything out and every time he answered the phone and took the time to explain everything that needed to happen and guided me through ever step. I finally bought the car last night. Today I took it to Omaha and back 250 miles or so and only used half a tank of gas and the car runs perfect! I have absolutely no complaints and recommend everyone to go check it out! Thanks a lot and next time I'm in need of a car I will for sure come to Reliable Motors!

I am a single mom with a small income. I have a 16 yr old son who was in need of a car and a friend recommended I go check out Reliable Motors as she had a great experience there. I went on a Saturday afternoon and met the owner Bob Mauro. He had a few more customers but he treated my as if I were the only one there. I test drove a couple of cars and really liked one, but the ticketed price was more then I could afford. Bob worked with me and we settled on a price I could fit into my budget. I found it a very friendly place to do business. With a great monthly payment I don't have to stress every month when I have to make the payment. I even have money left at the end of the month so that my son and I can enjoy a nice night out to dinner. Thanks Bob!! I will sent all of my friends to Reliable Motors.

I was out one Saturday afternoon with my teenage daughter looking for a quality car and a reasonable price. We started early and went to several used care dealers. They were all pleasant enough, but just weren't much help. We stopped by Reliable Motors and was greeted by Bobby who actually took the time and had the patience to help me as well as my daughter. Of course we couldn't agree on anything, and that's when Bobby really stepped in and made me and my daughter comfortable about buying a car we would both benefit from. Cute enough for her, yet safe and dependable enough for Dad! Thanks Bob for making the buying experience what it should be. It has been a great car, zero problems during this harsh winter. I highly recommend Bobby and Reliable motors!

About six month ago I bought a Nissan Pathfinder from Bobby. I'm a little leery about buying any used car, and for the price I was buying it even made more leery. It ended up being a good deal and Bobby was very helpful in any way that he could be. Right after we bought it I noticed the headlights didn't work. Bobby wanting to make everything right apologized and said he would do whatever he had to do to fix it. I was very grateful because the fuse board needed to fix it was not cheap. As you can tell I like to wait a while before giving reviews on things or putting my two cents in, but I definitely would recommend Bobby to anyone wanting to buy a used car. He has a great selection with good prices. You will experience a very one on one, personal atmosphere. I will definitely be checking Reliable Motors out for my next car! Thank you Bobby!

It's nice to experience someone actually putting into practice what they advertise. I'll try to keep this short. I have purchased many vehicles, via internet, because I can be pretty specific about options. In Oct. 2013 I found my teenage sons' "Dream Car" on-line at Reliable Motors in Des Moines. Even though I live 4 hours away I was able to have a friend test drive the car and give me the thumbs up. Bobby and I worked out a deal over the phone, I mailed a check, and another friend drove the car to my home town in South Dakota. The whole transaction took place with little effort, absolute pleasure to deal with, and never required a face to face meeting. Now, the unfortunate part. 2 months after ownership the car developed an issue that my son neglected to inform me of. One of those things that if you catch early it's a simple fix but, because it was neglected, ended up costing more than it should have. Knowing I bought a car "AS IS/NO WARRANTY" I did not expect or anticipate anything from Bobby at Reliable Motors. However, I wanted to reach out to him, let him know what happened, and discuss options. Suffice it to say that Bobby went above and beyond what I expected. If you look at his statement on their website he says "Customer Service Long After the Sale" Well, given the fact I'm 4 hours away and have not yet met Bobby in person I WILL tell many people about his "customer service before, during, and after the sale." Bobby showed me he is a business owner dedicated to the integrity of his name and plans to service the Des Moines area for a long time to come. Way to Go, Bobby!

My Husband & I decided to check out Reliable Motors when we were ready to get a second car because it is close to home for us. Always being leery of Used Car Dealerships, This was out of the box for us. The moment we stepped out of our Car Sarah made us feel right at home. We test drove 3 vehicles that day, None of which we ended up buying & talked to Bobby (the Owner) & Randy (the mechanic). Bobby is a straight shooter. Upfront about any issues they notice in the cars on their lot. They listened to any concerns my Husband brought up about the vehicles we were considering & looked right into them . Bobby worked out a Great Deal with a Local Credit Union for us on a Vehicle that we thought might be out of our Payment Comfort Zone. He made us feel at home & the whole Buying a vehicle process amazingly Simple. Sarah & Bobby were great & I would recommend them to anyone in the Market for a New to You vehicle. We look forward to taking many family road trips in our new to us Truck & will be visiting reliable again in a few years when it's time for our oldest to start driving!

We just recently bought a vehicle from Reliable for our high school daughter. I must say that the thought of buying from a private used car lot can bring about all kinds of negative preconceived thoughts. However, after working with Bobby, I have nothing but positive comments for the experience with Reliable. Bobby and his mechanic Randy took great care of us throughout the buying process. After my first call, Randy opened the doors early so I could see the vehicle when it was convenient for me. When several items needed addressed, Bobby was more than happy to take care of them and Randy did so promptly and professionally. During my negotiations with Bobby, he was more than fair and a straight-shooter. The final sale process was painless and the title was delivered well before when it was promised. It was a great experience. The car is working well. Our daughter is happy. We are happy!

When looking to buy a first car for our daughter, we researched online and Reliable Motors was one of the first places we stopped. Bobby gave us a few good options within our price range and there were no high pressure sales tactics involved. We visited several other used dealers afterward and kept coming back to Bobby (and Sarah) because they seemed to be the most honest and easy to work with, plus they had the vehicle we were most interested in. The vehicles on the lot were clean (many other dealers were not). We were encouraged to drive the ones interested in and bring them to an independent mechanic if desired. We were also impressed with the in-house mechanic that was very knowledgeable and able to provide sound advice. I was also encouraged to bring it to their mechanic if we should have something that needs repaired as they don't charge for labor on the cars they sell. The "extras" that are provided are also nice-- the car was detailed prior to us picking it up and they also would like to install the license plates when they come in, although not hard to do on our own, a perk. We settled on a Saturn Ion and so far it has been a great choice. We will be back when our younger son is ready for his first car!

My husband & I bought a Kia Sedona from Bobby at Reliable Motors. Bobby made the process easy, no high pressure sales tactics, was super friendly & walked us through the whole process which only took minutes. He was able to get us a low interest rate with low payments. I bought a 04' Chrysler Town and Country from Vince and Bobby at Reliable motors. Bobby and Vince exceeded my expectations for a purchase price which quickly decided I would buy from them. In all honesty there was some minor paperwork that was a small hiccup (from the previous owner) this was not reliable motors fauls, Bobby and Vince continued to help me and my wife make this as smooth a transaction as possible. Recently purchased an '01 Rav4 from Reliable Motors, Inc. I was immediately impressed by their friendly down to earth customer service, something that had been seriously lacking with other dealerships I had checked out. They were very cooperative and easy to work with. As a young college graduate the car buying process can be difficult, but the guys at Reliable Motors really helped me out and took care of me. 2012 was not a good year for autos in our household. In late July, my husbands 1999 Mercury was rear ended while parked on the street, resulting in it being totaled. So once insurance settlement occurred we wanted a now replacement without the new car hassles. He bought his new-to-us vehicle from Reliable. We have been very pleased with it. During the same time period my sedan was giving me some problems, after initial analysis at the mechanic the cost of repairs could be at or above the market value of the car. I was at that crossroads of repair it or replace it. A new car was not in the budget so next best option, newer than what I HAD. Also, I was thinking of a change from sedan to SUV or mini-van after some general research decided SUV was a better fit and began to narrow choices to fit my budget. Reliable Motors fit in both categories. I have had the 2008 Ford Escape for over a month and love it. The staff was knowledgeable, willing to answer questions and best of all, provided a pressure -free environment, to look at, test drive and compare at your speed not the dealers. It was a cold December day and i was in the market for a reliable used car. I was laid off from work a week before Christmas and lost not only my job, but my company car. Knowing i needed a vehicle asap, i started my hunt. Half the dealers in Des Moines were either too pushy, or too cold to come help me in the lot. The Dodge truck that I bought new and drove for over 100,000 miles had recently been totaled in an accident, so I wanted to find the right used truck to replace it. I dropped by Reliable Motors to look at two they had. I zeroed in on the right one for me after looking all over Des Moines. Bobby showed me the carcheck report and the recent bill for the tuneup that the truck had just gotten. I made an offer, that was met with a reasonable counter offer and we made a very fair deal. The guys there were courteous and respectful. I recommend buying here.

I went into reliable motors to look at a 2003 ford explorer, i was immediately greeted with a handshake and smile and a willingness to answer all my questions. I test drove the explorer and when i returned from my drive I told them i wish to think on the explorer for a day or 2 he told me that would be fine and if there where any other questions to call him..there was no strong arm sales tactics just 2 guys talking bout a vehicle. 2 days later i went back and bought that explorer i have been driving it with great pleasure and confidence the buying process was a very pleasurable experience. theses 2 brothers I believe to be very trustworthy. I would recommend them to anyone including my friends and family. thank you guys

We were looking for a car for my niece who has less than stellar credit, and a trade-in that didn't drive. Most places wouldn't have touched her with a 10 foot pole, or would have had her jump through a thousand hoops to even be considered for a vehicle. The staff at Reliable Motors went out of their way to treat her respectfully, and to do everything possible to work with her situation and get her into a reliable vehicle she could afford. They not only got her into a vehicle, but they helped her to get rid of her trade-in that most other dealers wouldn't have touched. She was so impressed with the professional way she was dealt with every step of the way, and how pleasurable they made the buying experience, that she has told several of her relatives and friends about Reliable Motors. Things do happen. It happened to us. It was your typical late July hot summer day. Beth & I were visiting my one hundred year old father on that Sunday afternoon. I had parked my sedan on Grand Avenue. As my wife and I returned from our visit we noticed another car parked behind us. I thought they were parked awfully close, in fact too close. Thank God there were no injuries, but my Mercury Gran Marquis was totaled. I really liked that car. That vehicle was so comfortable it was like driving a sofa down the street. I swear the air conditioner could freeze meat. I had purchased the car used twelve years ago, had put over one hundred thousand miles on it and had no intention of letting it go. But in spite of my intentions an involuntary conversion of assets had taken place. Time to look for another car. I spoke to a friend of mine. He mentioned Bobby Morrow at Reliable Motors. At my friend suggestion I called, spoke with Bobby directly, told him our story and set an appointment for Saturday. When Beth and I arrived at Reliable Motors Bobby was finishing the paperwork with another customer so my wife and I looked at the vehicles on the lot. There was quite an assortment and all very clean. When we met with Bobby he remembered our conversation. My eyes were drawn to a gold 2003 Chevrolet Impala. We test drove the vehicle and commenced to business. I was able to replace my Marquis with a vehicle four years newer for approximately what I received as an insurance settlement. And I still had enough to fill the tank. Less than a week had transpired and I was driving a very nice car. We have purchased new cars, and we have bought used cars. We take good care of our vehicles, and we tend to hold on to them. Sometimes you are faced with a situation, which is not your fault. Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Bobby Morrow at Reliable Motors was there for us. He made something, which could have been an agonizing experience, very painless if not enjoyable. This was a place I will never visit again. They tried charging me more than the vehicle price listed, screwed up my loan, asked me to lie on my credit app., and then fudged documents. But don't worry they have a referral program! Really, wouldn't want my worst enemy experiencing what I went through!
