The BEST Toyota dealership on Long Island. I have bought several trucks from them in the past. Every employee regardless of their position is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable! And they consistently have good attitudes and treat customers as they are valuable and with respect. The store is modern, clean with a great car wash on the premise. I believe the reviews are from honest customers unlike “another” westward Toyota dealerships reviews online. Mistakenly, and regretfully, I purchased my last vehicle from Toyota dealership 15 miles west on same road.

My wife and I have been looking for a new vehicle to accomodate our growing family. My initial visit to the dealership gave me an opportunity to work with Dan Gladd in Mid-November as I was considering pre-owned. He allowed me to test drive about 6 different vehicles and provided me with all the information as possible when it came to the inventory I was looking and wasn't pushy and completely understood our scenario given that financing a pre-owned car would not work out as originally planned. Despite working on the used inventory he was more than happy to get information on leases for new inventory for me to take home and review. Fast Forward to black friday, My wife and my inlaws went to look at the potential of leasing a new Sienna. Dan was not in and we were reffered to Jay Scholl. Jay was very easy to work with - he was patient and was able to answer every question we had, and was completely transparent with the numbers and was willing to go above and beyond to accomodate us given that we were out of state customers. At the end of the day, we decided to procure the car from a local dealership because it was convenient from a distance and licensing of the car perspective. As a result of our positve experience, when our inlaws are in the market for a new or pre-owned car, they are going to head to toyota of riverhead and if we ever decided to move to Long Island and buy another car - Riverhead Toyota and Dan and Jay will be the ones I work with.

I m a tough customer , that day I was sold b4 I've met Dan gladd . I knew I was not leabing the dealer without a vehicle , even if had to buy it cash. Then I got to the dealer met Dan gladd he made the process so much easier on me. I'm not going to lie to you about such a great deal I got , this is not the point here .. to me the BS part of the process is what I despise about dealer ship . But when he cut through all that garbage . I actally stop him and ask for the garbage .. he said nope that's all .. then I said wow where the xxxx is thid dealer been all my life.. I leased a Toyota Highlander this weekend. This was my first experience at Riverhead Toyota and it was hands down the best dealership experience I have ever had leasing or purchasing a vehicle. The manager (Matt) and sales person (Jay) were very knowledgeable, honest and got me into my new car very quickly for a great price. I would highly recommend this dealership. I drove a distance from Nassau County Long Island and it was worth the trip!

I went to purchase a car and everything was great. But after I made a deposit I had second thoughts about the car and later changed my mind. I was told that my deposit could be returned before we signed any more paperwork or something came up. I was also told my credit wouldn't be ran since I had made the decision to not buy the car literally minutes after leaving the dealership. They decided to hold my deposit which I'm now disputing with my bank to get back and they also ran my credit anyway. I would never go back. I understand the disappointment of a lost sale but this behavior is not acceptable.

After sitting down for 20 minutes I had a better deal than I had at the previous dealership which took 2 hours to negotiate. Dan T was straight forward, honest and did everything he said he was going to do. Bought my 2010 Matrix in August 2014. They told me they replaced the brakes. In October 2015 I brought the car in for NYS inspection. The brake were fine. I passed inspection. I brought my car in yesterday for an oil change and they told me the brakes were frozen, needed the calipers, etc. , and charged me almost $1,000. In less than 6 months I went from fine to unsafe I have put less than 10,000 miles on it since 'i bought it and it as a manual transmission. I downshft instead of braking. Needless to say, I won't be back to Riverhead Toyota for any kind of service. KMK

I have bought 3 Prius cars from Riverhead Toyota and have been very happy with the service. This time I came in looking for a used near new vehicle and Brendan was very accommodating. My husband and I had one or two MUSTS and I was given some good comparisons. Then Brenden mentioned the advances in the 2016 and suggested I drive both. And we only looked at those with our special requirements, one being a spare tire that my husband just has to have. This was a very good car-buying experience: easy, rapid, and hassle-free. Jay Scholl was professional, competent, respectful, and honest ... a man of integrity. He also found exactly the car I wanted. In addition, Jay and Riverhead Toyota really helped me out by providing a loaner truck while I waited 2 weeks for delivery. Regarding financing, Peter Fournaris was fair, professional and assertive. He gracefully accepted my declination when offering me warranties I did not wish. When my husband and I went to Toyota we were very nervous. The last time we bought a new car was 14 years ago. At that time buying a car was a stressful process, and when it was all over we felt railroaded and taken advantage of. However when we went to Toyota, we strolled around a few times checking out every single car without being badgered and as soon as we needed help we asked for it. A serious and potentially dangerous acceleration problem was not addressed and dissmiised. When noted it was ignored later when the service department was informed. My 2010 Camry 100k $110 service was easily stretched into a $660 and my one special concern was dismissed. I expressed concern about my excellerater which appears to have a mind of it's own and does not always back off when braking or easing off on the gas pedal. Having heard of past recalls and a serieous liability due to accidents and fatalities I expected a thorough response. I was told that nothing was found and blame was placed on the floor mat (a relacement which Toyota Riverhead provided for the missing original when I bought the car new). Four days ago I received a courtesy call about my satisfaction with their service. I informed the caller that I was still experiencing the same problem and was told I would get a call from the service rep the next day. I have not yet recieved a call.

I was impressed with his knowledge, character and attitude, and he did NOT fit the cliche definition of a "used car salesman". He took time to explain what was asked - and re-explained when asked to clarify :-) We requested test driving several vehicles, and he was very accommodating, with a smile. When we sat down to do the paperwork, I felt I received the best treatment, and deal, when purchasing a used car. Peter, the finance guy, was also very helpful, positive and informative. Right off the bat we were on the same page with Jay Scholl our salesman . At the end of my initial visit, I said I would check other places as well. The sales manager said that he ""would not be beaten on price". I returned with Consumer Reports' Build and Buy Service quotes from other dealers which were much lower (more that $1000).. After they offered many excuses, much hemming and hawing, I said I would go elsewhere. The Dealership Manager was called in, and we agreed on a price which was a couple of hundred dollars higher than the lowest, but good enough for me, since this dealership was much more convenient.

Having bought cars in NYC in the past, all I knew about the car shopping process was long-waits, bait-and-switches, hidden details, inefficiency, and tons of pressure. I just assumed that was the only way. From the minute I walked into Riverhead Toyota, Jay put me at ease. I was able to test drive a car within minutes, no complex waivers to fill out first. They found the exact car I wanted, and instantly matched the price I found on True Car without need for negotiation. I never felt an ounce of pressure to buy, or move at a speed I didn't feel comfortable with. Once I decided, they filled out all the paperwork, including insurance. I walked in a few days later, picked up the keys, and walked out, maybe spending a total of an hour or two in the dealership total. They even returned my previous lease to the Honda dealership. I can't recommend the people and dealership enough.

they installed remoto start on my tacoma 2012 after driving a few miles engine light came on i returned and tell them to fixed it and they made me come back next day, i planned to take off and get my refund but they told me they don't refund anything , i had to kept even is the cheapest device ever installed for 450 . i am very disappoint and I would not recommend this place at all

I brought my Toyota Yaris 07' for an Oil Change and Detailed Car Wash this past Saturday. Brian was very helpful and accommodating considering my car was there for about two hours for just an oil change and car wash. However, when I opened my door I wasn't even sure if it was my car. There was a Spanish radio station on blasting music, a phone of one of the employees was left being charged in my car using my car charger as well as in my cup holder, there was a can of fancy feast cat food left there?!? I don't own any cats and I KNOW that wasn't in my car before I brought it there. I don't know where along the way the ball was dropped, let it be service or car wash but I won't be getting another car wash there because on top of everything that was left in my car, the vehicle was still dirty inside and out.

My wife and I purchased/leased 6-7 cars over 15 years from Competition Toyota in Middle Island, NY. We were never treated as well as we were at Riverhead Toyota! What a pleasure. Dan Meehan, our sales person, could not have been nicer. Everyone we encountered was such a pleasure to deal with.Not only did we get a better trade in and price than we would have from Competition Toyota, we were treated so much better. After turning in our lease at Competition, we asked for some prices on trading in our '12 Prius for a '14 Venza. Four weeks later, we are still waiting for a price quote. All we received from Competition was a strange phone call asking my wife if I was present when our Camry lease was turned in. She felt they were insinuating that something inappropriate was going in between her and the sales person, resulting in no fees for turning in the '12 Camry (1,700 miles) early with no penalty fees.The respect and appreciation we received from Dan and everyone at Riverhead Toyota was refreshing. We are loyal Toyota owners and we were loyal Competition Toyota customers. Now we are loyal Riverhead Toyota customers and I can't imagine going anywhere else for a new car!

I scheduled a test drive with the service manager Mike Hamill to check out a rattling noise problem from the fender. Although the problem was confirmed, Toyota's extended warranty does not cover it. But I also got a free multi-point inspection. In contrast, at another major dealership on the island, I was told to sign for a $120-ish diagnostic fee upfront before they ever try to look at my car. How much does it cost them to just listen to the noise?Overall a very friendly experience, highly recommended. I would consider bringing my car here for service in the future.

Brenden made the transition from our previous Sienna to the upgraded 2014 model. My husband is handicapped,which gave special concerns to address,and he could not be more helpful. On my most recent purchase, i had a problem with an after marked product that was installed third party via Riverhead Toyota. I received a flyer in the mail in reference to trading in my 2011 Prius for a new one at the same price per month. I thought it was BS but I went anyway. My vehicle which was leased still had 11 months to go. I spoke to Paul who was excellent, not pushy and Honest. Picked up my 2014 Prius with the same options 3 hours later, same monthly payment, just paid NYS sales tax and DMV fees. We were very very pleased. Easiest vehicle that I ever purchased. Went to Riverhead Toyota prompted by a friend and almost reluctantly as this was not originally on my "radar" and I had already set my choice on a different brand. We had freedom to look around when we first arrived which was great and then we were approached by Joe DePinto who became our sales person. He was extremely knowledgeable about the various cars and options available. He was calm, smart unpushy and inspired confidence. The car I chose (a Scion XB) fit my purpose perfectly (better than what i had chosen before my visit to Toyota). Within 2 hours of the beginning of my visit, I was leaving with a brand new car for which I paid a very fair price, all paper work done for me in a smooth and honest fashion. I highly recommend this dealership and specially our sales person Joe DePinto.

I have purchased and leased several cars over the last 34 years and, for the most part, rarely found the process to be anything but unpleasant at best. My experience at Riverhead Toyota yesterday was a refreshing break from what I have found to be the norm of car buying/leasing. The experience was pleasant from the start. When I walked into the dealership and began to look around, I was able to relax and casually look around at my own pace without any salesman pouncing upon me. When I was ready to do so, I approached Charles Mburu who appeared to be free and he was very friendly and easy to talk to. Charles struck up an easy conversation with me to find out what I was looking for and, while pointing out some things that I might not have realized in addition to what I thought I wanted, he did not "pressure" or try to "up sell" me in any way. It turns out that Charles has been at the dealership for 13 years, and he is a true professional in every sense of the word.Chad Eschezuria, one of the sales managers, also was involved with the lease of my new Toyota yesterday. I really enjoyed talking to him -- he was also extremely professional and friendly in assisting Charles and me to coming to a final agreement on the lease,In sum it was a truly enjoyable car buying/leasing experience and I recommend Charles and Chad highly. Every other person who I encountered at the dealership seemed equally pleasant and professional (though I obviously did not interact with them nearly as much as I did with Charles and Chad). I also spent some time with a gentleman who assisted me with signing the various papers, and he too was great to deal with, but I unfortunately cannot remember his name at the moment.Oh yeah, I almost forgot to say: My family and I love the new Prius!

I knew the type vehicle and price range I was looking for before I came in. Ali took me to a couple of cars and allowed me to look and drive what I wished. I worked with Michael Lucki was the friendliest and most helpful car salesman I have ever worked with--- and my parents, who helped me in this buying process, would agree. I came in with a lot of car questions and financial questions and concerns and it took me a couple weeks to figure out what I was doing-- he was so patient and easy./comfortable to talk with the whole time. On pick-up day he gave an extensive demo on how to use EVERY thing in the car, hook everything up, get insurance info together etc...in my opinion he went above and beyond every step of the way. Peter Fournaris was also very friendly, personable, and helpful! On pick-up day, he made the entire financing process smooth and easy. I am most impressed with the team at Riverhead ToyotaI initially went there to service my 2010 Pruis after a snow storm. I had damage to the wheel hub last winter, I was set up with an appointment and the repair costs were fair. When my lease was up this year with the Manhattan dealership I was told they were giving me the best price possible for the new car. Being a Yankee trader at heart, I called Riverhead - spoke to Joel and he and Pat Haley gave me a much better deal.Yesterday I went there to close the deal and 4 hours later drove off in my new Prius.The culture at Riverhead is a non pressure atmosphere which I enjoy , Im comfortable with my lease terms and feel the prices given are fairIm a very happy camper! I will recommend them to all my friends. Although I can only speak for myself, I believe most people feel going to buy or lease a car is basically a painful experience, in the sense that "one never knows what the best deal is" That part of the problem never came up with Rhead. I had wanted a BRZ orFSR for a year and had a deposit on a Brz for four mo. i got tired of waiting for the manu to release pricing or delivery (i was first at the smithtown dealer) and I purchased a 2004 Porsche Boxster s ..as cars became available i went to my local dealer for a FsrI arrived in the morning, said I would like to buy a FRS, was given a testdrive on a route that I chose for the duration of my choice.i told them I had a trade and returned the next morning with my car with a current car fax,service records perfectly detailed with very low milage. My salesman had the day off but had arranged for the used car manager to greet me. He made me a very fair offer and we negotiated the last $500 and made the deal.I drove ou in four houres with my new car. here is the real story! Iwas a multi line new car dealer for 40 years and am activly involved with Grand-Am racing.I am 74 years old. I did not disclose my prior aoto life till after the deal was done. I have left many of the local dealers for their lies and underhanded practices. I was super mpressed with Riverhead Toyota. With one exception, I have owned nothing but Toyotas for more than 38 years. Even though it is not the closest dealership, I went to Riverhead Toyota, just to look, because of a promotional mailing I had received, promising me the "friends and family" discount on any new vehicle. I had been driving a low-mileage (79,000) 2002 Highlander Limited for over 11 years, but wanted something newer, with more features. I had been considering both the 2013 Rav4 and the 2013 Highlander, which bracket my 2002 Highlander in size.On my arrival, I was greeted by Ted Lucki (I didn't learn until later that he is the owner of Riverhead Toyota) who, after chatting with me for a few minutes, had me test-drive his personal Rav4 Limited. Discovering that it didn't meet my expectations, I asked to test-drive a Highlander SE, and was promptly accomodated.To make a long story short, even though I had no intention of buying a car that day, I ordered a 2013 Highlander SE with a particular configuration of features. As it happened, there was only one car in the NYC metro area that met my specifications, and it was at a dealership in CT. Riverhead Toyota arranged to have the car brought to Long Island by ferry across Long Island Sound, despite the cost, just to keep the mileage at delivery as low as possible.The actual sale was handled by Chris Weitz, the Sales Manager, but the delivery was handled by Mike Lucki, son of the owner. At no time was there any pressure to sell me anything other than what I wanted, and Mike took extra time to explain all of the car's bells and whistles.To give credit where credit is due, this was the most pleasant car purchase I have ever experienced, and I have no hesitation in recommending Riverhead Toyota.

My husband and I are very pleased with Riverhead Toyota. We walked in and immediately told the receptionist that we were interested in looking for a used Toyota Camry from 2010 up and it must be white. Brian Dorgan was sent to work with us. I do not remember exact detail, but I do know that they did not have the exact Camry we mentioned. But then I asked whether or not they had a white Avalon.Believe it or not, they did have a 2009 white Avalon XLS with only 25,000 miles on it and was exactly what I would have preferred. We were presently driving a 1999 Avalon XLS. We decided to purchase this car on the spot and needless to say, we are very happy with this car. Brian met a price that we considered acceptable for this purchase.It was a pleasure to deal with Brian and that Dealership.

The process was straight forward. Jay was honest and friendly. I never felt pressured nor did I feel like he was trying to trick me or somehow convince me to do something I wasn't comfortable with. Jay accepted my price range and worked with me within that number. The financing was also easy, and often that's the worst part. This is the fourth car we've bought from this dealership and we will definitely be back for number five.

Was interested in buying a Prius but ended up not doing it. The salesman Joe was very charming and not too pushy. However the manager Chris was too much. I could tell all he cared about was business rather than anything else. He needed to loosen up. I was turned off by how rude and demanding he was being to the salesman that was trying him best to help.

The first car I ever bought was a Saab 900 Turbo in 1991. After speaking with the salesman for a while, he threw me the keys & said take it for a spin and let him know what we thought.I had the same good feeling with Pat Haley. Dan was very helpful and informative for two people who did not know too much about hybrids. He made the whole process of replacing our car that was lost to the recent storm far more painless than we could ever have expected. I purchased a 2003 Camry for my mother in 2003. The car had less than 500 miles on it and was supposedly driven by an executive from the dealership. My mother recently was selling the car and when a buyer was interested, he had it checked by his mechanic. As it turns out, the vehicle had been in a pretty severe accident prior to selling it to us which was never disclosed. Very sad to see how sneaky and dishonest these people are. I will never do business with them again. BE CAUTIOUS!!!

It was truly a pleasure to work with Diego. We visited many dealerships before making our decision, and I must say that Diego was not only one of the most knowledgable salesmen we encountered but he also has a great personality on top of his knowledge and skills. He took his time to explain what the car had to offer for us. So I went to Riverhead Toyota hoping for a better reception but trying to keep my expectations realistic. From the moment I began talking to Diego Mamani about the possibility of leasing a Prius to Chris Weitz's tireless search for the exact color combination I hoped for, I was treated with professionalism, honesty,respect and great care. Fran Colon is probably the most knowledgeable,professional, caring person who happens to be a car salesperson as well.In over 25 years of dealing with Riverhead Toyota we have never had the experience we just had while buying our new Camry. Fran anticipated our needs and concerns and was able to work with her manager Chris Weitz, another gem, to get us the best car at the best price. We were treated with respect and we never felt that they were trying to do better for the dealership than for us. Fran negotiated a deal which we could not have gotten anyplace else in the NY area....and we had never met her before. We never thought we'd praise a car salesperson,or take the time to be writing this, but she is so deserving of this praise. Toyota Riverhead is very fortunate to have them working for the dealership.

I brought my vehicle in for a 90,000 mile service. It took several hours, so my wife picked me up and went shopping. When we returned, our vehicle was in front of us pulling into the lot. Our vehicle pulled around to the back, and out came a woman carrying shopping bags. The woman took them to another car in the back. The service rep said this is very embarrassing, and that Mike Hamill, the service manager will call me. It has been a week, and I have not heard from Mike Hamill. Guess it wasn't that embarrassing.

I walked into the dealership expecting to just get some more information about an email offering, and a few hours later I was driving out with a new plug-in Prius! Joe was the perfect salesman who guided me through the process, getting the insurance from my company, and smoothly completing all the financing and paperwork. This is the fourth Prius our family has owned -3 purchased from Riverhead Toyota- so there was no learning curve other than hearing about the plug in aspect of the car.Thanks Joe!

When my wife and I went to the dealership, we were interested in the Prius V. My salesman, Jay Scholl, was knowledgeable enough to tell me that I would not be able to get the Clean Pass with this vehicle because it doesn't average 48 miles per gallon, the requirement from New York State. We wanted the ability to drive in the HOV Lane at any time, without having to have a passenger in the car. We then decided to look at the Priusc. My wife and I both felt comfortable in it. Jay and Chris Weitz worked with us on the trade value of our 2010 Prius III. We reached an agreement on the trade value along with the extended warranty. We also liked the fact that our basic services would be covered by the dealership for 25,000 miles or 2 years, whichever came first. This will save us nearly $200, or more. In addition, they gave us the winter mats and a bottle of the touch up paint at no additional charge. They went over the full car with us when we picked it up on Wednesday, August 29th. My wife took the car to work that night and texted me from work that "the car was great!!". We would recommend this dealership and our salesman to anyone looking for a Toyota product.Robert & Mary Anne Kandell

I am gladly writing this review. After a horrible experience with Smithtown Toyota and their games (I was a repeat buyer of there as well), and then stopping at Sunrise Toyota and having no results there as well, I decided to give Riverhead Toyota a try. I was met by a very pleasant receptionist who then had me meet my sales person Fran Colon. I immediately formed a wonderful bond with Fran and felt very confident that she would come through for me with a great deal. Fran is a wonderful and honest person who treated my like I was one of the family, and I truly feel like I am now a part of the Riverhead Toyota family. I feel that I will be a long time customer of Fran's and look forward to buying from her and the dealership as well. Do not hesitate to go there and ask for Fran and tell her that you read my rating of the dealership on this site! I leased a beautiful "Red" hot Prius C, this was my second Prius that I have owned. Next year I will be another Prius from Fran once my 2011 Mercedes E class lease is up. Thanks, Steve T.

I don't write long reviews. Our experience with both Frances Colon and Chris Weitz was as good as any that my wife and I have had in our long experience buying automobiles, and better than most. On top of what we thought was an 'excellent' sales experience we needed some additional follow up/help with a couple of items not directly related to the sale, and these were given most graciously and promptly. Would we buy from Riverhead Toyota and Frances Colon again? YES!

My daughter bought a new 2007 Prius from another Toyota dealership and the battery went dead in a matter of 2months.We called Riverhead Toyota and they towed the vehicle,replaced the battery and there was no charge even though we didn't have towing in our warranty.

Car shopping is one of my least favorite activities and anytime I have to shop for a new car, I dread it like the plague. I decided I wanted to buy a Toyota Prius because of the great fuel economy and because it is one of the few vehicles that is allowed on the LIE-HOV lane with only the driver. My husband and I walked into Toyota of Riverhead, and were greeted by Jay Scholl. Jay told us all about the car, answered all our questions, and immediately allowed us to take a test drive. We did not have an appointment and it was a very busy weekend in the showroom. The test drive convinced me that I wanted a Prius. We then sat down with Jay and discussed pricing. We were given a great price for the car. It took about an hour from the time we walked into the showroom, to completion of the sale! In all my years of buying cars, I have never had such a wonderful and easy experience. Jay was pleasant, charming, and not the typical pushy, high pressure salesman. Three days later I drove my car out of the showroom. However, before I left, Jay pointed out all the features and strongly encouraged me to stop by the dealership if I had any questions. It is great to know that I have a truly customer oriented car dealership close to my home.Thank you Jay!

Too often it seems that people report on negative customer service experiences, but fail to adequately praise the positive ones. I recently had such a positive experience with Mike Hamill in the service department. Mike went above and beyond what other managers typically do to correct my issues. I had some minor problems with a certified Toyota I purchased there a year earlier, and he stood behind the car to make things right. Thanks, Mike, for taking a bad experience initially and eventually turning it into a positive one. You make Riverhead Toyota a better dealership!

Within seconds of walking into the dealership and asking for assistance, we were assigned a sales person. We definitely appreciated that immediation attention from the receptionist.Our sales person, Fran, was very outgoing, informative, warm, and pleasant to work with, helping us pretty quickly to find a "just right" car to meet our collective needs and wants. We think she did a great job doing that.I'm / We're definitely technologically challenged but our new car has a built in GPS and bluetooth. Fran worked with me to introduce me to the car's many features and to begin to help me understand the computerized features on our new car. Brendan helped as well. Thank you, Brendan, for your additional patience and assistance. Even Peter, the finance manager who helped persuade us to buy an extended warranty, was friendly, pleasant, and informative. Jay is great to work with. Low pressure, very friendly, and a genuinely good guy. My time with him was pleasant and efficient. I would buy from Jay again.Here's why the overall score has more 4's than 5's.1. Took longer than expected to get the car.2. Appraisal on trade-in dropped $500 once I showed that I was ready to buy. That bothered me, and I almost called off the sale at that point.3. The most important question for any buyer remains "lease vs. buy" -- and the dealership still fails to provide good and clear pros and cons for both options. It's always a quick and/or pushy remark, like "hey, keep your money!" or "did you talk to your accountant?" -- and that's BS. There are real, universal pros and cons to both options and the dealer needs to develop a script -- or have a team member devoted to -- helping to educate the consumer so they may make an informed decision with CONFIDENCE.

I recieved factual responces intstead of ready made responces I found frustrating from other dealers.When I arrived for my appointment there was a sign welcoming me at the front desk where I met Sheerie who was pleasent and compitent. She went over all the features of the vehicle I was interested in also pricing and service questions. I appreciated her professionalism and overall knowledge of the vehicles mechanical and systems operations. There was no pressure, just information and confidence in the brand she was representing. Chris Weitz put together my financing. I was pleased that all the paperwork was correct and there were no unwanted surprises. The numbers were the numbers we agreed upon. The absolute best car buying experience we have ever had. Dan Meehan was our sales person, who was knowledgeable and patient with our decision to buy a Prius, was professional and answered all of our questions and concerns. They were very fair with regards to our trade. The sales manager, Chris weitz, was an absolute pleasure to work with. The finance manager was off the day of our delivery, so Chris personally completed our financing paperwork. He was upfront and informative with us. There were no surprises or upselling on delivery. He actually showed us how we could spend less money on an extended warranty that we requested based on our driving habits. That was a first for me. This is our 4th vehicle from riverhead Toyota. My hat off to you gentlemen!!! Other dealers should take lessons from you.

I had an amazing experience at Riverhead Toyota. I dealt mostly with Austin Murphy and Craig Cohen, they made me feel comfortable and like my deal was the only one they were working on. I had questions about parts, service, the AWD Sienna and the options available. Pricing was great, they were always fair and met my expectations completely. I had no idea I was going to buy a car this day. I was there for service on my others RAV4. But, we have a florida trip in mind so I happened to look at the new 2012 Camry. What I saw, looked like Daytona styling. I liked it so much that I went out back and looked at all the stock. I even picked out a particular color and VIN number. Then I went back through the show room and saw a guy sorting through a lot papers at his desk. He was very busy. I stood near his desk for a few minutes, I just had to ask a couple of questions regarding options. When he looked up an saw me, he had a very frendly smile. It put me at ease right away. We talked for a while before I made the spur of the moment decision that I wanted to do a trade-in on my 6-year old corolla. Well Brendan Bowen was the guy. He was so good at getting everything in order that, I had the corolla back in an hour. To make a long story short, I got the car and beatiful after-market leather heated seats. Thanks to Brenden and, of course, Riverhead Toyota for making it all possible.

I recently purchased a 2012 Prius V from Riverhead Toyota. My salesman was Walter Migliore. Thanks to Walter, the whole experience of finding the best car for me was easy and enjoyable. Walter was very patient during the process. I wasn't in a hurry, so I did explore other car options at other dealerships. I was back at Toyota after finding no other hybrid that met my needs and price range. Walter took me on two test drives....explaining the car's features and answering my many questions. upon entering the dealer i was greeted with smiles from not only the staff but other customers. it gives you a good satisfaction knowing for the first time entering a place of business that the staff makes and keeps their customers happy. shortly after walking in (the side door) Ted Lucki (owner) introduced himself, gave us a happy holidays and how may i help you?. he soon would help me along the steps of buying my first car. i did not know the process of buying a car, he showed me every step and left nothing out. I purchased a 2007 Scion Tc on 11/29/11. They verbally agreed to a price and we shook hands on it, but then they changed the agreed upon price on the finance contract. I went there by myself and feel they took advantage of an older woman alone. By the end of the day I was so exhausted that I took their word on the price and unfortunately signed the contract without fully understanding it. I should have brought someone with me to the dealership. I realized the next day that I was grossly overcharged for the car. They only gave me $554 for the trade in of my 2000 Echo which only had 83,000 miles on it instead of the $2,500 they promised me and what it was worth.Then a little over 2 weeks later I decided I didn't like the 2007 Scion. It was uncomfortable, the doors were too heavy and it hurt my back getting in and out of it. So after only having the car a little over 2 weeks, I asked Riverhead Toyota if they could make a deal to trade it in for a brand new 2011 Toyota Corolla S. Originally they agreed on a price of $14,500 for the Scion, so with the $500 down and the $2,500 trade-in for my 2000 Echo the sale price should have been $11,500 plus the reg. fee and doc fee. Instead it cost me over $17,000 for a car that I later found out only had a blue book value of $10,500, which is all that they would offer me for a trade in even though they had just charged me over $17,000.I feel the treatment I received from Riverhead Toyota was unconscionable.

He showed us whatever we wanted to see, answered all of our questions and we were convinced that it was time to trade our 2008 Maxima in for a 2011 Highlander. I originally went in for the 30k mile service on my 2009 Highlander. I had been getting solicitations from the original dealer that I leased the car from (Millineum Toyota) so I enquired when I arrived to the Riverhead Dealership for service about the deals on a new car.I live out by the Riverhead Dealership so this is where we service out car. The solicitations that I was receiving from the old dealership were offering a 2012 Highlander for over $600 per month - however, after a few minutes with the salesman that was helping me (Jay), we figured that I could trade in my existing car 7 months early and get a new lease while SAVING over $100 per month on my payment without ONE penny out of my pocket. The experience was extremely easy, there was NO pressure or hassle and both Jay and his manager went out of their way to see where they could save me money. The new car is a dream - and a MAJOR upgrade and I will save over $3600 over the next 3 years. I'm glad that I went to Riverhead Toyota and didn't go back to the original dealership that I first purchased my car. I highly recommend this dealerhship.

Toyota Riverhead was my first visit to a dealership. Fortunately on that day Sheerie Moustakas introduced herself to me . After a very pleasant discussion we concluded that Sheerie couldn't meet my purchase price on that day, however, Sheerie did refer me to the Manager of Toyota Riverhead and passed on my requirements. bought an extended warrenty and thank god I did. Bought my car in June of 2011 brought it to another Toyota dealership for standard servicing and there are numerous things wrong with the car not to mention that 2 recalls that were never taken car of prior to me purchasing the car (The recalls were issued prior too me purchasing). The dealership assured me I was getting an car that will be like owning an brand new car. They also assured me that it was Toyota Cerified. How can it be Toyota Cerified when they never even did the Recalls?. So I am without a car for about a week so the Toyota dealership in Oakdakle can fix the lemon that Riverhead Toyota gave me. I will never recommend them to anyone as well as I am writing an formal complaint against them.

When I walked into the showroom last month, I lucked out--I met Mike Lucki. He answered every question I had and he educated me about the Prius. He followed up with phone calls to touch base and to let me know when new vehicles were on the lot. I was never rushed. Mike took the time to work up various numbers and options for me; it helps that he is a CPA and can explain it with clarity. He seemed to enjoy to selling this car model, and he drives one himself. When I made the decision to lease last week, we returned and were given a full examination of every nook and cranny under the hood; he even showed my husband the battery. Mike's patience made us feel we were important and this really struck us; he made me WANT to buy a car from him! Selling cars is a people business. Both he and Chris Weitz are top-notch. Chris finalized the contract AND installed my new plates! Everyone at the dealership was friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome in the Toyota family.

He was very thorough in explaining the "mechanics" of the car even when busy with another customer. He politely asked if it was acceptable that he work with both of us at the same time. His demeanor was non-pressuring, polite, and cordial. He reviewed all our options from the lease to our selected color of the car. Mr. Mamani is an asset both to Riverhead Toyota and to the Toyota company as a whole. As if that wasn't enough, Mr. Mamani came in on his day off to a accomodate my schedule when picking up the Prius. Brendan was so great in helping me out. I am a college student and at first I was not sure exactly what I wanted. Brendan helped me out realize that the Rav4 although I was very interested in it was the right car for me. It's safety features was one of the things that drew me to the car as well as the overall feeling I had when I looked at it. He gave me a fair price and made understanding the financing very simple and easy for me. My family has bought 3-4 cars all with Brendan and we are all very happy with her service. There was also a man named Chris (who worked in the financing department) that I give full compliments too, he made the financing and service options I have very understandable and helped us get a good interest rate. From the moment we came to purchase our Sienna we were met with courteous and friendly salesmen--Dan and Chris. A price and availability were discussed and agreeded upon. Dan wasn't in to take care of delivering the vehicle to us but said that Mike would be able to help us. Everyone at Riverhead Toyota was very friendly and accomodatiing from the moment I arrived. Michael Lucki is a newly hired salesman and he made sure he found out the answers to all of my questions. His father, Ted Lucki is the owner of the dealership and he came over to introduce himself to me and offer his services. They gave me a good price on a 2011 Avalon Limited and when I was given a counter offer by Smithtown Toyota they met that price too. I wanted Michael to get the sale since he reminded me of my son. He took the time to go over all buttons and levers on my new car. My previous car was an Avalon, but I had had it for 10 years and it was not as high tech as this one. I am still trying to get used to the keyless entry!

Everything about my experience at Riverhead Toyota was far superior to my last new Toyota purchase at Competition Toyota in Middle Island.The service was better and I believe I received an excellent and fair deal. Unlike my previous purchase elsewhere, I wasn't pressured into options I didn't need and I believe the salesman was genuinely interested in putting me into the exact car I needed.I also didn't feel like I was pressured into unnecessary extended warranties. The options were laid out for me (and I did purchase an extended warranty) but it was done respectfully and without the intense pressure to buy it that I experienced elsewhere.I would highly recommend Riverhead Toyota.

We just purchased our third Toyota from this dealer. We traded in our '05 Sienna (purchased new at this dealer) for a new '11 Highlander Limited. The people we worked with were all very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. I didn't feel as though I had to make a deal immediately. Their sales tactic seems to be to inform the customer and let the customer decide on his own. Before I came in, I told them what kind of car I was interested in and when I arrived, they had 3 different Highlanders parked next to each other all ready for test drives. They were quite clear with the pricing and options. I probably had to pass a few Toyota dealerships on my way as I live about 35 minutes away, but for a big financial transaction, it has been well worth my time to travel out to Riverhead. Now, our biggest problem is that my wife and I are fighting over the new car! I look forward to car # 4 from you guys.

Jay Scholl was not only friendly and professional but fast and efficient. We stopped in on a Sunday and were able to test drive the Toyota Rav 4 withing 15 minutes of arriving at the dealership. After looking at other cars at other dealers later day we decided to purchase the Toyota. Jay stayed an hour after closing to wait for us to return and fill out the initial paperwork. In my many years of purchasing cars, and the usual nightmares of purchasing a vehicle, this was my best overall experience. The salesman took the time to give us two test drives before we decided on the vehicle we purchaed. He explained all of the features and options. We decided on the options we wanted and the price we were willing for the vehicle based on ur research. We also knew how much our trade was worth both on the high and low end. It took less than a half hour to agree on all of the items mentioned. No high pressure, just a very good experience. It was almost relaxing!When the vehicle was delivered, it was done promptly with little fuss. We delt only with the salesman and no third parties at the dealership. If you go to Riverhead Toyota, ask for Brendan. He is just straight-ahead, to-the-point, putting you in a car. It takes the anxeity out of buying/leasing when someone just gets what you're up to. For me, it was "the-first-time-owning-a-car-thing" and Brendan was direct and honest. I felt relieved to be working with him. I got a terrific 2010 Toyota Prius at the end of the summer, and have been pleased ever since. There was a little glitch in the finance department, and Brendan did his best to work it out immediately. And a great guy named Joel was very helpful as well! All in all, an easy experience. Highly recommended.

Joel went to great lengths to get exactly the vehicle I was interested in and went through extraordinary efforts to locate the vehicle in New England and bring it to Long Island--Prius 5. This is the second Prius I purchased--the first one just passing 100,000 miles. Service at dealership is very good.

This is the third car I have leased from Riverhead Toyota, and the second car I have got through Brendan Bowen. The ease, efficiency, and helpfulness of Brendan, and all the staff, is exemplary, certainly the most pleasurable experience I have had with a dealer in 40 years of car ownership. Additionally, I have always found the service staff to be helpful, the maintenance routines and tune-ups done properly and on time.

I flew into ISLIP airport Saturday morning, to pick up a pre-owned 2010 Toyota Sienna I had purchased online "sight unseen." Charles picked me up in my "soon-to-be" car. Being an internet purchase, I had some apprehension about the actual condition and features of the car, vs. what had been represented in the ad. Not only was every detail exactly as represented, Charles had gone to great lengths to have the car beautifully detailed, and had even replaced the floor mats; not at my request, but because he wanted everything to be perfect. Though the car was pre-owned, I felt like I was taking ownership of a new car. Charles made the long-distance shopping process easy by answering every question courteously and completely. He even took a few more photos that I requested and e-mailed them to me. He provided simple instructions for what needed to be done prior to, and at the time of my visit. The time actually spent at the dealership was less than 10 minutes, and I was on my way - one very satisfied customer. The only challenging thing about this internet purchase was the 13-hr drive home; but well worth it.

I am still awaiting a response on my 2008 FJ Cruiser tire cover. The tire cover elastic is defective in that every time I go through a car wash, the tire cover gets sucked off the vehicle and damaged. This is a major inconvenience and never happened with my Isuzu SUV with a tire cover???! Mike Hamill is handling this for me?!The reception person who answers the Dealer main phone line, needs work. She is quick to transfer you before letting you finish your sentence. Also, not very helpful.

This dealership goes out of their way to please customers. Internet service is prompt and responsive. After emailing and scheduling an appointment to take a look at a new 2009 Matrix, I arrived at dealership with "my" car waiting and one with my 2nd choice color next to it. Very nice touch - especially after having dealt with two other well known Toyo dealers in mid Suffolk who were impatient and questioned why I wished to purchase a stick shift! The Salesman I had was great. Service appointments are on time; they are followed up with either internet message or phone calls to make sure everything was done right. Only room for improvement is Service area which needs designated parking lots. This dealership is wonderful (despite the Toyota recalls).

I have been a customer of this dealership since June 2004 and I have to say that the customer service is by far the best on Long Island. The friendly atmosphere and the no pressure to do unnecessary work is a pleasure. Usually my vehicle is in the bay in less than 30 minutes upon my arrival and ticket write up. That's fantastic!

Various details that I assume were taken care of by Dan were not handled with complete accuracy, for example, the registration that he arranged came in the mail with an incorrect license plate number. I felt he should have alerted me about exactly what I needed to have when I came to pick up my car. The process could have gone slightly more smoothly. Peter, with whom I had a brief encounter, kept me waiting while he was looking at papers and seemed to take his time about finding someone (it ended up being Brendon) when I came in to pick up the car. He acted as if I were intruding on him, while in fact I was buying a car at the dealership under his direction.Brendon was well-informed, patient, did exactly what I would have wanted.

Clean, Professional and involved is the best way to describe the service dept. They really do LISTEN to your concern, and offer good advice. I have purchased 4 cars over the past 10 yrs for myself and family, and I am very satisified with my salesperson Lois and I highly recommend her The waiting room is very comfortable, open, and clean.

It was a pleasurable, no-pressure, no-hassle, experience buying our 2005 Toyota Sienna from our salesperson Ian, who couldn't have been any better. However, the service department leaves something to be desired. I have routinely had our car serviced there. Most times, they were good to very accomodating (even loaning me a Prius to drive while mine was being serviced), on my last visit for a regularly scheduled mainenance, their work on my cars brakes was not satisfying. Driving the car home, I noticed a very distinct "wobble" in the steering wheel whenever I braked. I got home and made another appointment to have them correct this. So I drove from Montauk back up to Riverhead. They said they couldn't find anything wrong with their work. The car continued to have this problem until I braked hard one day, which seemingly fixed the brake problem. So my rating is based on mostly on my experience with their service department.

I have purchased two used vehicles from Riverhead Toyota, one in 2007 and another in 2010. Charles was our sales person each time and I even occasionally stop in to say hello to him. He's very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and does what he can to close the deal, as long as the buyer is reasonable in return. In both cases the "out-the-door price" was as expected. My wife and I are also very satisfied with both of our used Toyotas in terms of the comfort, quietness, reliability, and fuel economy. One vehicle required some warranty service (NOT gas pedal stuff) and I was very satisfied with the timeliness and quality of the work performed. The service manager and technician listened carefully to my needs and understood them, completing the task as expected. When I need another vehicle, I will surely stop at this dealership first.Stephen

Leased my first vehicle at Riverhead Toyota and had a horrible experience from the start. I should have took that as a clue not to lease from them. The service department is the only good part of that dealership. The sales associates are not friendly nor helpful. I practically sold myself the truck. When going over lease end options they were rude and acted like I was a bother. Even just dropping the truck off on the lease end date was not a good experience. The only nice sakes associate was the used car guy. I would never shop here again and ended up not buying a Toyota this time.

Over the years, I have purchased both new and used cars from Riverhead Toyota. I can't imagine buying a car from any other dealer. The sales and service staff are all honest, fair, and professional. Their main interest is to provide their customers with the best possible service at the best possible prices. My car of choice will always be a TOYOTA, and you can be sure that my car dealership of choice will always be RIVERHEAD TOYOTA!

We just went there to see a new model of truck and left an hour later with order for one. We met a very friendly sales person with smile on her face , with no presure to sell anything. But after a short test ride and a price given - we decided to buy it same day, so we place an order. All arrived as promised with even extra equipment installed with no extra charge. Over 3 years later I have send there many of my friends and family members ( my brother in law is picking up new Highlander any day now). Just remember everyone is working there to make you happy, from sales to service ---and they do wonderful job ---it's a very friendly place. Even government run anti-Toyota campaign can not hurt their reputation -- TRUST ME !!!

I went in searching for a new vehicle. Lois was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Most important, she was honest and took the time to talk to me and didn't rush me out. I trust her completely! Her type of professionalism is lacking in car dealerships all over the island. Riverhead Toyota is lucky to have her. I had been to two other dealers before going to Riverhead. They (the others) had ONE Yaris apiece! Riverhead had a huge lot packed with new cars and at least TEN Yaris cars or more. Three were exactly the color and "fully loaded" as my top chioce I wanted. I was able to choose from the three, test drive the EXACT car I would be buying, not a "demo" car.Jeff made the whole thing quick and painless. It was my first new car buy and it was'nt scary at all.I got a great interest rate too. Peter in the financing Dept. took care of ALL the complicated paperwork stuff. Registration, new plates , inspection.All I did was show up next day and drive off very happy.Got a great deal, and negotiation was'nt like fighting Mike Tyson in the ring.I really can't hesitate to recommend them.

I moved to Toyota from BMW (I had multiple BMW's.) Matt and Eva showed me what Toyota was doing and I was really impressed with the models that they had. I finally selected the UrbanRUnner, which, is now my favorite car/truck. Both Eva and Matt made the selection and purchase as simple and painless as humanly possible and they cotinue to go out of their way to help me out when I need service or have questions. I plan on buying this car when my lease comes up and getting a different model. Riverhead Toyota has exceeded my expectations for purchasing a vehicle and I would recommend anyone who wants to buy one to go and see them. T

The prices also were much better than any other dealership we went to on LI. I would suggest going here and asking for Craig

Never in my life have I had a worse experience in buying a car. The attitude of the salesman was unreal. He might as well have spit in my face. All I did was ask a bunch of questions about the new model Prius coming out and I was spoken down to like I wasn't worthy of speaking to him. I watched him call me a bitch to another salesman and was called a bitch when leaving. Trust me I in no way shape or form was being rude. I know there are some pain in the butt customers but I was as nice as I could be. If you see the guy Patrick with the blonde hair go somewhere else!
