I had a very pleasant experience in my last purchase at Ron Tirapelli Ford in Shorewood. Probably my best experience I have had in my car buying history. Eric Villamor made the buying purchase so simple and fast. I was able to negotiate my price without the crazy back and forth I have experienced at other dealers. John Hanania had me in and out of the financing super fast. Both of these guys were super nice guys and left no questions unanswered. Highly recommended!

My salesman was Justin and he was awesome. No pressure. Easy to deal with. He put me in a brand new escape that my wife loves. Went in there to look and ended up buying it bc of Justin and the sales manager rob Swayka. The best experience I have ever had and got the best deal. Wonderful experience! Salesperson Kevin E. provided amazing service from the moment we walked in through the entire process. No pressure and he was very knowledgeable down to the smallest detail on the vehicle. He had no idea we were coming but he knew everything about the pre-owned vehicle we test drove. All this great and friendly service late in the afternoon. Internet listing was thorough and clear with great pictures. Fair price and the certified pre-owned status made this deal. Credit manager Michael was friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. Overall a great experience!

Coming from Chicago, I decided to call to confirm a particular feature that a used car might have I was interested in. I was introduced to salesman Joey G. who was more than accommodating in my request. He answered all of my questions over the phone, went out to double-check the car had the feature, and then we set up an appointment in a couple days for a test drive. I decided I couldn't wait that long and drove to Ron Tirapelli Ford in Shorewood on a whim that day to check out the car. I couldn't be happier I did! This was my 5th car dealership due to having to walk away from supposed "deals" because they were not what I wanted and I was particularly frustrated in the whole car buying experience. I am upset I did not just start here in the first place! I couldn't have more positive things to say about Joey G. and Mike in the fiance department. When purchasing a car, the salesman/fiance department should make you feel good about the deal and that is exactly what these guys did. I did my research and knew what else was out there. Joey didn't waste my time and gave me what I thought was a great deal right off the bat for the car I wanted to purchase as well as what I thought was fair for my trade-in. I appreciate everything these guys did for me and honestly feel good about my purchase. Highly recommend Ron Tirapelli Ford.

After doing a carfax on the vehicle I found out the car had an accident when the papers they showed me had no accident reported. I was also told that I can purchase the vehicle if and only if an employee wasn't going to purchase the vehicle first. In any other situation I would think the person with cash would be the first person allowed to purchase the vehicle. Obviously I'm upset I wasn't able to purchase the car but after this maybe it was a good thing.

I went to this dealership on January 2, 2016. I dealt with a sales consultant by the name of Fidel Ovalle. I was looking for a 2015/2016 ford focus. He came out & showed me where the cars where, I test drove one, we then proceeded inside to get a appraisal on my trade in. I told him I was interested in the car but could we look for another color? He then told me that Ford was offering a 500.00 off on a Ford Focus, never told me what HE could do. He said they didn't have many 2015 in the lot that he would have to check other dealers & he would get back to me. UNFORTUNATLY that NEVER happened not 1 call back. Apparently Mr. Ovalle doesn't need a job or cares about his job!! So I went to Fair Oaks Ford/Lincoln in Naperville a week later, found out that FORD was giving a 2000.00 rebate w/0% financing on 2015 Ford Focus SE! So long & behold on Jan 16th, 2016 I bought a 2015 Ford Focus SE from Fair/Oaks!! The sad thing is, this happened to my son 2 yrs ago with a different saleman from Ron Tirapelli ford. He warned me BUT I gave the benefit of the doubt! No more I will never recommend this dealer again apparently you guys don't need a job!! NEVER AGAIN!! Tina

It was great,very friendly people and not a long wait. I even asked if they could possibly wash it for me, at first the guy said he could ask but not guarantee it, but I was pleasantly surprised they washed it with no problem and that was much appreciated. Clean waiting room and nice that they offer a popcorn and cookies while waiting as I had my Grandson with me who took advantage of having a cookie. I live about 45 miles from this car dealer but would definitely come back for services. Over all I have had a great experience from the time I walked until the time I drove off.Thanks Candy Montanez

I called on a Monday to schedule an oil change and was given an appointment on Wednesday morning. I waited in the very comfortable waiting room while they did the oil change and it was finished in about 40 minutes. I needed a replacement seat belt extender and it was ordered and provided for me in two days. All of my questions/ concerns were answered. It was a very pleasant experience and I am completely satisfied. Even the popcorn was good!

You did exactly what I wanted, checked what I needed checked & did not make up that I needed anything done which I did not need. You were honest which is why I went to you. Since I've moved to Oak Lawn you are very far for routine maintenance which is what I have done, my car is in excellent condition & things are not breaking. I have found you are too expensive if I can find someone closer that is also honest & capable, which I now have so I probably won't be back. I was not happy my rewards points expired. Although I don't get much work done that was another reason to go to you & then I couldn't use them. I hope you continue to give other customers who can afford your high prices the same honest service you gave me.

The service I received was great. I took the car in to repair a tire and found out there was an open recall on my car that I wasn't aware of and they set me up an appointment to get it taken care the same week which I really appreciated as now I know its been taken care of. In my other car buying experiences the saleperson has been very pushy and only focused on making a dollar, but not at Ron Tirapelli. Their focus is on customer satisfaction. I was never nervous or felt pushed into my decision. I would recommend them to anybody looking for new car. I will be returning in the future for any of my car needs.

I purchased a Ford Certified 2010 Ford F150. Our salesman Erick was excellent and understanding of what we wanted and made a process that I normally dread very pleasant. The store was very busy and Nick stepped in to help get the financing started until Michael was available to sign the papers. Staff even waited for us to run out and bring the trade in right at closing so we could take the new truck home. Both my cigarette lighter and auxiliary outlets were out. Both circuits had previously been tested by my private ASE mechanic and determined to be fine. It was the plugs themselves that needed to be replaced.The service department charged me for a diagnostic test only to tell me what I stated above. Both plugs needed to be replaced. Do you think? I requested to delete the $100.00 diagnostic charge from the bill given that I explained what was wrong when I walked in the door. They refused to listen to reason. I told them if I brought in a flash light with fresh batteries but the bulb was burned out, would you charge me for a diagnostic test?In summary, consider yourself warned. I now go to Rod Baker Ford for far superior service.

I told him what I wanted in a car and we took up a lot, due to the fact that I was unsure of what I wanted. As a sale person he did not rush us. He continued to show us many different cars. He never gave up or lost his kindness. That shows us that he was trying to consider our needs. That what makes a great sales person, plus employee. My 2013 Fiesta had to have the clutch replaced while still under warranty. In the meantime, I didn't feel safe driving it. Mike from service helped me get everything set up so that my rental car was taken care of for the extended period of time I needed it while my clutch was on order. When the part came in I was notified; and when it was ready I had no issues picking it up right away. It's only been a few days, but so far no issues. Great service!

There were two serviceman that went above and beyond what was expected. Bob and I think Troy went to bat for me at my extended warranty company and got stuff fixed with my deductible and small out of pocket. My friend has the exact same car and paid over 1500.00 to get hers fixed and it still makes noise and mine cost 300.00 and sounds perfect. They kept me aware of evrything and even though it took a couple of days tthey were honest and I greatly appreciate the extra mile they both went.

Overall really well.. I disagree in charging for sync updates. It's a non-intrusive software update that takes little babysitting. To charge $50 to update sync is a bit ridiculous. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

First off I must say the staff / salesman was very good, now for the bad I bought a used 2003 truck for cash and when I left the gas was on empty needed to stop for gas before I got home,after a week of getting it the engine was miss and needed a tune up,and now after only putting on3000 miles on it I need new brakes all the way around, sad thing is they said it was went over and certified. They either didn't do that or there mechanics don't know what there doing, Beware if you buy used from them, they wouldn't even try to even make my any kind of gesture such as sorry for no gas or I'll make it up some how, oh and check engine light came one week after I got they looked at it and said there was no hard code to that they didn't know they reset the computer the light went out but came back two weeks later,I hope other had better luck there than me and I only had the vehicle since may 2014

I am from Indiana 3 hrs. away from the Ford dealership. I saw a truck on cars.com. I emailed them about it. I received a response the very next morning. Maynard had his number listed so, I gave him a call. We worked out a price pending my satisfaction with the used pickup. Then Moe in Internet sales got a hold of me. He was great to respond to any question I had. I couldn't have had a better experience with these two guys. I made the 3 hr. drive hoping it was as nice as it was described to me. Moe & Maynard met me at the door. I did a test drive and look over on the used pickup. Everything was just had Maynard described. It actually looked better than I had expected! I purchased my second car from Tirapelli November, 2013. I went back based off of the great service we received in the past. However, the second time fell far below standards. Our most recent purchase was a 2007 Ford Explorer V8 Limited. Sounds great, right. It looks wonderful, trust me. But the engine and tires are why I'm writing this review. Tires: When I purchased the Explorer, I did the usual check, I stuck my hands between the first thread to check for depth. All around all four tires looked great. That was until the first snow fall and making a turn on a snowy street, I almost slammed into a tree. That's when I took my car to Discount Tire to have them checked. I was astounded when I seen the actual inner tire thread. Bald. Smooth, like a babies butt. I bought the car with 87k miles on it. The tires on the car are the original OEM tires. They are no longer made! Rated to only 65k miles. Great.. Just great. I have to spend $1,200 to replace tires on a car that I just bought. Ok. Ok.. I probably should have dug deeper when looking at the car prior to purchase. But you know, trusting my dealer, not to screw me. Engine: On the test drive, I felt a slight stutter between 40-60MPH. No biggie. The night was cold and the car had been out. We closed the deal and bought the car three days later. The following day, sputter. No biggie, it was a small sputter. A week goes by, small sputters. We bought an after market warranty, so I was going to take it in for repairs. The most we would have to pay is $100. Boy was I wrong. We dropped the car off and were told that we would have to pay $109 for it to be diagnosed. Okkkkk... From my research on this issue, we found out that Ford knew of these engines having problems with spark plugs breaking off in the engine head. Ford repaired problems going forward on these cars November 2007 and forward. Mine didn't make the cut. So now, I have to pay $700 for a tune-up on a car that I only had for two months. Yes, $700 for a tune-up. I spoke to Mike Castro, funny, I've seen him referenced here before. He said he'd try to figure something out. Something turned out to be $500 for a tune-up.. Thank god for small favors. I picked up my car. But not before I told Mike Castro how I felt. Poor Mike, I guess you should have stopped while you were ahead. The stuff that you said was hilarious. I paid $115 to be told I needed a $700 tune-up (please feel free to laugh)... I would have been ok to pay half of the cost of the tune-up. After selling me a car that has useless tires and an even worse engine, it was the least they could do.

I brought my 09 Expedition in for service. accutuator for heat. $1000 repair. while wife and I were there we looked around at used car for me. we purchased a 2006 explorer and mike menne was awesome. Now the down side, while talking to finance manager mike. he talked me into buying extended warranty. I spesificly asked him would cover the heat control accuator like on my expedition, He said absolutely. well guess what IT DOESNT. and now the attitude is oh well nothing we can do. $800 repair and only had the car for 3 months. I will Never buy a car from this place again. In fact I'll never buy a Ford again. heat problems, Corrosion on expedition lift gate. Ford knows of these problems but does not stand behind the product

Went there to purchase a vehicle, just about to do businness and was rudely put out of the dealership. The sales manager walked me to the door, and stated" I will not sell you a car," and tryed to physically push me out the door all because I showed him I could purchase the same vehicle he was selling me at cargurus.com for cheaper. The also went on that site and erased my review of them. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM, HORRIBLE!!!!

mike was great he made the buying process as easy it could be with me even though I'm not easiest customer to deal with and in the end we got the deal done and I'm very happy with my F 350. I'm not sure about the other reviews with them not working with you because they did everything they could to get me where I wanted to be.So if your in the market for a vehicle stop and see mike menne he will take care of you.

They did their best to get me into my new car (Boss 302 Mustang). They worked with the banks to get me the best interest rate to get the payment where I needed it. In the end, I ended up going with my own bank, but they never gave up and I appreciate that. They also worked with me on the extended warranty because you don't want to buy a car like that with some extra piece of mind. Overall a great experience!

We took are vehicle to this place three times for the same issue. The first time cost us $1700, the second another $700 and the third time we told them where to go! Each time it was something "new" they fixed but the problem never went away. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone and the only good thing I can say is the GM was very pleasant and helpful. As far as the service manager... he was an arrogant jerk!

We were greeted by Moe, and treated with respect. We had come in with a pre-approval from Capitol one, yes the blank check program...there was a lot more fine print that we had not noticed. Mod started showing us cars and Nick started w the finance of it. We do not have perfect credit, but not bad enough to not get a car. The long of the short, they ad 2 vehicles that we liked, they stated the numbers. In the end, neither worked for our payment we wanted. I recd a call 2 days later saying they are till working on it, and got in 2 vehicles that will work. I webt, looked, chose and went home. My family n I returned 2 days later to the payment we had been looking for. Ths dealership NEVER gave up when we didn't want a high car payment, as 2 other Ford dealerships did. And to top it off, we had been there a few hours, so they insisted on getting us something to eat, since it was later and we had our kids. Hands down BEST service in a dealership in 15+ years! Thank you Ron Tirapelli, we are life long customers and friends! Oh also we took our brother back 2 days later, he also left happily with a car!
