I own a 2009 Nissan Versa. The CVT transmission went out around 96k. No problems until then. Warranty was extended and transmission fixed at Nissan of Butler NJ in 2015. However, approximately 10k miles after transmission was fixed, the ENIGINE LITERALLY FELL OUT OF THE CAR while I was driving down a side road going 35 mph. It was hanging 2 inches off the ground. So hazardous! Neither corporate nor the dealership who originally repaired the car would take responsibility for either shoddy workmanship or poor car manufacturing Either their mechanic made an error putting the engine back in, or Nissan is making such cheap cars, your engine may fall out when you hit a pot hole. Very dangerous! They would not fix it for less than $1000. Why should I have to pay for their error which literally could have gotten someone killed?The car is still not running properly, but I will not take it back there. What a horrible thing to do to a customer. I'll never buy Nissan again. And definitely never will buy a car from this dealership.

My mother was in need of a new car and asked for my help as she had a stroke several years ago and it can be hard for her to get things that are said. Robert Whetham at the Rt 23 Auto mall was amazing and incredibly patient with us, never tried to sell us on anything and paid close attention to all the details and questions that my mother and I had. The process was very smooth right down to the final meeting with the finance dept. In just two days we walked out with anew car having had such a great experience, I highly recommend that you look to these folks for your next Ford or Nissan car purchase.

I have always disliked the new car purchasing process but at Rt 23 Automall my sales representative made the experience very positive. He was helpful,courteous and listened to what I wanted. I must say I was very nervous about going to purchase a car, but once I was at Route 23 Auto Mall, the nervousness went away. P.J. was my salesman. I told him right up front I wanted to purchase a used car and told him how much $$ I had to spend. He went above and beyond to show me cars that were within my budget. He was so very patient with me, with all the questions I had to ask. The overall friendliness of everybody at this dealership was wonderful. 3rd Nissan I am buying from these guys. Eddie Cordero and his Manager Craig VanBaulen put together another great deal, no BS, no games which I appreciated the most. I am not a big fan of car buying but they were able to "almost make it a pleasant experience". They provided what seemed like a fair price for the Nissan Sentra I wanted. I took a couple days to research a little more and discovered that once one adds in the tax, registration and title fees, and all of those other fees (some dealerships have more of these than others) the price was well below several of the other dealerships in the area. Once I figured out what a great price I was being offered here, I jumped on it. Once I pulled the trigger to make the purchase and picked my color, Eddie Cordero and his team made the paperwork and financing portion painless. I highly recommend these guys.

Wholeheartedly recommend this dealership! We had been at another dealership and dealt with an overly pushy salesperson who left a bad taste in our mouth. However, from our first interaction with James and Rick, we had an entirely different experience and felt like we were in good hands. Buying a car can be pretty daunting but both James and Rick put my mind at ease. They earnestly asked what I was looking for and put no pressure on me to purchase the car after I test drove it. James processed some numbers and had Rick present them to me. I told them I had to sleep it over and talk to my wife about it which they said made sense. Once I agreed to buy the car, Rick showed excellent customer service. He addressed all of my questions and a couple minor issues with the car were quickly corrected. He proactively asked me for information ahead of time so by the time I got to the dealership, the majority of the paperwork was already done and I only had to go in the Finance office and sign some papers and was off the lot driving in my new car. Rick also checked with us after the purchase to make sure the car was still meeting all of our expectations and that we were satisfied. I will certainly go back to Rick and James when I have to buy a car again.

I am truly blown away by the service at Route 23 Automall. After shopping for a few days and being treated poorly at other dealerships, I went to Yovanny Tamargo expecting yet again to receive the same lack of honesty I had received thus far. I went to 2 dealers to buy a car but after I told the salesperson that i had issues woth my credit their attitud changed.. The no longer had a smile on their faces and the treatment changed completely.. just before giving up i decided to give rt 23 Nissan a chance and thank God I found the wright place and the wright people to deal with.. I told Yovani from the start about my credit situation and he told me NO PROBLEM WE GOT YOU!! He showed me the car I wanted and then he got the finance manager Richy, Richy told me, DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE PAST, TAKE CARE THE PRESENT SO YOU CAN HAVE A BETTER FUTUTRE.. That made me feel that there was hope.. In no time the both came came back with a final credit approval and at a payment that i was very confortable with..THANK YOU GUYS FOR THE DEAL AND THE TREATMMENT..

Route 23 Nissan is a great place to buy a car. PJ Flattery is the most honest/funniest/best salesman. We live in NY and we went to almost 10 Nissan Dealers in NJ,NY,and CT, but could not get any deal done until we went to Route 23 Nissan. PJ went through all the informations clearly, and we ended up with a new 2015 Nissan Rogue SL Premium. There was no hidden fees and everything were straight forward. The price we got for the Rogue is the lowest by far compared to any other dealers. Some dealers will only sell the car to you for the specific price if you finance though them and is kind of annoying.We love our new Rogue, and I would definitely recommend any one to go to this dealer. Look for PJ Flattery. He is an awesome salesman.

Bought a truck from this dealership 9 years ago. Bad experience then. Even worse this time (why did I listen to my wife when she suggested I give them another try????). Bought a 2015 Frontier for cash. They did not have a bedliner installed in it but assured me they would install it the next day so I could pick it up on my way home from work. First mistake I made was signing the paperwork before I saw the truck. I questioned why the mileage on the truck was not what I signed for and the salesman tells me that they had to drive it to Fairfield to get the bedliner installed. I was pissed right there, but it was late and I needed to get home. Looked at the bedliner and saw that there were holds in the bedliner to expose the tied down hooks. Salesman shows me that there are these plastic plugs that you are supposed to snap on when the hooks are not in use. Two of the xxxxx were plugged - two were exposed. I tried to remove one of the plugs but it would not come out. Salesman tried using the truck key to pop out the plug. It doesn't come out. At this point I am really, really mad - but also tired (it was now close to 7:30 pm) . I leave. Driving home that night I get even more pissed because I see hand prints on the interior and dirt on the window. Who cleaned this truck? Obviously no one. The next day, I take my old truck to work and am so furious over this rip off, I call me wife. She discovered that the bedliner they installed is some cheapo piece of crap they sell in auto parts stores for $175. I had agreed to split the $400. with the salesman, so now I see they actually had the nerve to clip me for $25!!!! My wife calls the dealership (I'm at work and can't talk - and I'm also so mad I shouldn't talk!). She ended up talking to the sales manager (Craig) who gave her an incredible b.s. story but finally agreed to get us the correct Nissan bedliner. She ends up going back to the dealership with the truck and waits while they install the right one. But, she forgets to mention that the truck was dirty. Meantime, I am thankfully driving my old truck (which I ended up wholesaling out to someone for $1500 more than they offered me for a trade - so much for them giving you 20% above what it's worth!!!). I drive the new truck on Sunday and put a package behind the front seat and find cigarette ashes back there. UGH!!!! I call customer service on Monday and complain about the cigarette ashes, she puts me on hold and tells me she just spoke to the dealer manager and he ok'ed letting me bring the truck back in and they'll clean. And, when was THAT going to happen since I work six days a week, 10 hours a day? The next day the manager did call me back and asked me what the problem was. I tell him and he says bring the truck back. I tell him how about you clean the truck BEFORE you sell it? So, what was that all about? Did this girl in customer service give me a B.S story about the manager or is the manager too much of a bozo to know who he talked to? Or are there just so many problems in that place that no one can keep anything straight? But...we're not done. 28 days into my 30 day temporary registration & plates my wife calls and no one at the dealership knows anything about where my actual plates are. The girl at the front desk actually has the nerve to say, "Well, we have until midnight of the day it expires." Rude doesn't even cover what I think of that! So, on day 29 I call and tell them that I am going to stop by the dealership and pick up my plates. And, if they are not there, I expect a loaner car to be available for my use until they can get over to DMV. The girl says, "Oh, we can't give you a loaner car," So I say give me the dealership manager. I get his voicemail. In the meantime, my wife calls NissanUSA and places a formal complaint. They give her a case number and also offer to transfer her thru to the dealership so that she can warn them. She says ok, but Nissan 23 never answers the phone. My wife then gives me the sales manager Craig's cell phone number. I call and ask Craig where my plates are. He says, "You have to understand we've had a change in people around here and things are messed up." I said, "Regardless..." and he cut me off and said, "There's no regardless!" I said, "Yes, there is. Your people are incompetent..." and he hung up on me before I could say anything more. HE HUNG UP ON CUSTOMER!!!!!! I guess they got my money - so who gives a crap about me! An hour later I got a call from Craig - my plates are in. No apology. I stopped there on my way home from work and the girl at the counter knew nothing about my plates. I took her at least five minutes to find the, I was happy to see that DMV corrected the spelling errors on my temp paperwork. I didn't say a word to anyone there - I just left. I hope this review will stop people from giving this HORRIBLE ON ALL LEVELS dealership any business.

Purchased a 2012 Nissan Frontier new in January 2012. Brought to dealer with Transmission concerns, and that Braking seemed weak. Mark Bader [service manager], said everything is normal on several occasions. Three separate mechanics at three separate facilities noticed that Brake Rotors were rotted out and needed to be replaced. Vehicle had 33,000 miles on a 36,000 mile warranty. I was told that I did need front and back brakes, and rotors. but it would be at my expense, and the wear was normal for the mileage. I always thought Nissan had a good product, but if this is how they train there service personnel, I would stay away from Nissan, and definitely avoid this dealership. What good is sales without proper service.

First of all, they were showing me a demo which was of not my option (Rogue with SV family package with dark interior and multiple exterior colors choice). Then they said they will locate me a car and asked me to confirm the price. From the true car price, how much they could add up, they were trying to do so and trap me. I was straight forward and informed them that i could not pay a single penny more than true car price. During my third visit on Black Friday, Nov 28, 2014, they agreed for the true car price and signed out an buying order agreement that they will locate a car within 2 days and they will call me to update on the status by Dec 01, noon. I have paid a deposit of 300$. But, i have not received any call till Dec 01 evening. Hence i have called them for the follow up. On a single sentence, they have concluded that they cannot locate a car and informed that they are going to refund the amount and kept a period. I told them the offers end by that night, hence i asked them to consider the same booking date and locate me a Rogue without family package which is common and easily identified. But the sales consultant- Albert Chak (whom you could catch in call 1/8 chances) informed that all offers ends by that night and i need to talk to his internet sales manager and he directed the call. The internet sales manager routed the call to Sales manager. Sales manager was so tough and informed on the first sentence that they cannot locate my new option too and informed me that they would initiate a check for my deposit refund. The program differs from next day and asked me to contact next day to discuss on the price.Next day, again i have tried to reach their Sales Consultant, Internet sales manager, Sales manager. No one was answering. Finally i have reached out to their General Manager who in turn was again iterating that they cannot locate a car which is not their stock and would refund my deposit. They would honor me if i choose any car which is in their stock.My question is "Don't you know that they you cannot locate a car that is not in your stock while you asked me to sign the agreement and pay the deposit? Is that something i have initiated or asked you to Sign? Why you promised and blocked me not to work with other dealers till offer ends on 12/01? This is the first time i am hearing and experiencing Weird for locating a car.Now i am in a position to execute the process of finding a car and dealer from first. I have lost all my offers and loan. The sales consultant who had dealt me was too difficult to catch up. If he is always busy with a customer don't they have other employees to deal at all. Worst ever that consumer has to follow up with them every time. They promise something in the true car all to ensure a customer reaches their show room.Worst Customer Care. They behave that they donate the car to us. Worst attitude. I personally don't recommend this dealer to any one.

Route 23 Auto Mall was pleasant when I purchased the lease on my Nissan Maxima, however when my lease was over and I needed to return the car everything was different. I purchased my lease at Route 23 Auto Mall in NJ and then moved to Rhode Island. However when my lease term was over, I returned my car back to Route 23 Auto Mall where I originally purchased the car. Once a customer always a customer, think again! Route 23 Auto Mall lied about willingness of returning out -of-state license plates to the DMV and instead sales person Lenny kept them in their desk drawer. This action resulted in property tax from Rhode Island for 3 months when I no longer had the car. Returning the plates to RI DMV is the only indicator to stop property tax from being generated. I am seeking $148 from dealership to cover the time frame (June August) where I no longer owned the car, but was being charged taxes because salesperson kept the plates in their office and had me believe they were going to mail them back to Rhode Island. When I complained to Route 23 Auto Mall, I was given no consideration by the salesperson Lenny, office manager Wayne, office manager Ruth, and instead treated like a bothersome customer.

Matt Tatalikas was such a helpful, patient, and efficient salesman. The owner Scott Barna runs a great businees here!! He was super helpful also!! When I shopped, it was the middle of February. I had found a car on their customer friendly website. The car I wanted was buried in snow from the arctic winter we were having. The guys plowed snow away from multiple cars. Matt was even out there shoveling snow in his dress shoes in some horrible weather. I could already see the dedication of this dealership. They gave me an exceptional deal without even haggling them. I just want to start with if your looking for a truly pleasant buying experience go to rte 23 automall and I promise you a mind changing time about car dealerships.My adventure in the car buying mission began as most...online...I researched what I wanted and who had it.Low and behold rte 23 automall came up with the Nissan xterra pro 4x I wanted,but although I have lived in the area my whole life I never realized they were now a Nissan dealer along with ford.So I called and was greeted by kara who directed me to rich pentony who was knowledgable in the product line and answered all my questions without hesitation.I then made an appointment to go up to them to value my trade,which I was pretty firm on what I would accept for it and to my surprise they came in only alittle short of my number,but with the great price on the new vehicle it was a no brainer that I made it up on the other end.We then filled out all the paperwork for financing and I actually was told this may take alittle time so there is no reason for you to stay here,once all the paperwork is done you can simply come back and sign it and pick up your new vehicle.I was confused,but it was a Saturday so I went with it.Tuesday I get a call fromrich that everything was ready for me and we agreed to arrange the pick up for Wednesday morning.Upon entering the dealership I noticed rich was not there and was informed he was sick so someone else would be taking care of me,this is when the manager craig came over and took the reins.He had steve go over the vehicle,josh transfer my insurance and I then went to finance signed on lines,and then was asked if I had any other questions.I thought to myself this is a great team of guys here...to deliver another salesman's car and the attention to time was refreshing.at hours and out the door with all paperwork done and trade logged in,the thing that took the most time was waiting on my own insurance company to email the new binder so I could actually leave.If you are looking for a new Nissan/ford do yourself a big favor and visit rich,craig,steve,josh&kara at rte 23 automall,they changed my view of the car dealership

This Nissan promised to email me the quote they never did. Then I spent an entire Saturday there while they calculated the number. Then, because their finance guy was tied up, they wanted me to sign the documents based on what they assumed the final price would be. When I told them that I would rather sign the papers once we actually knew the final price, and if their finance guy was tied up I would come back on Monday, they told me that I was being difficult. I then contacted Newburg Nissan. My experience at Newburg Nissan was perfect. They worked around my busy schedule by emailing me the quote, approving my credit application online and negotiating the final terms over the phone. When I arrived at the dealership, the car was there and was exactly as promised. I was given a full overview of the car, my phone was setup for a Bluetooth connection, and I was out of the dealership with my new car in 90 minutes. It was absolutely worth the hour drive to Newburg Nissan.

My experience at Route 23 Automall overall was great, originally did not think I could get much on my trade in (2009 Rogue) but was ultimately pleasantly surprised with what we were capable of working out. I traded in my 2009 Rogue for a 2010 Altima SL with all the bells and whistles, the staff was very courteous and Dayton was a great help from start to finish. The whole car buying experience was a good experience. Daryle and the others treated my wife and me very professionally throughout the entire process. I brought my Father-In-Law to this dealer because he was interested in purchasing a Nissan and they are in my neighborhood. I Was extremely impressed with this dealership for a number of reasons. First, the salesman, James Christo, was very accommodating in helping him to pick out the right car for him and was extremely knowledgeable whenever we had questions. Secondly, The management that worked on our deal was very honest and forthright. Charlie, the Nissan manager explained all of our options to us in very frank and professional terms, giving us the entire financial picture in black and white. The used car manager, Joe, gave us a very fair trade in value on his trade in, even having a mechanic come out to inspect the car thoroughly.When they quoted us the price for the car in our deal, they inadvertantly gave us the rebate for a Manual transmission. When it was discovered later in our deal, I was impressed with the way it was handled. They never even asked us for another dime, they honored their deal with us, I am quite certain that this would not have been the case elsewhere.Honesty, integrity, professionalism! This is what we encountered at Route 23 Nissan while purchasing a New Nissan.

Got a good price on a preowned car with low mileage. The sales person was friendly and motivated. He took the time to show their inventory and I definitely put him through the paces. Rating would be higher, except salesman tried last minute tactics in form of stating that it was dealer policy to charge an additional amount to certify a preowned vehicle at close. Marlarkey. Customers should know that the additional cost of certifying a vehicle as preowned is already built into the advertised price. I did my research and still negotiated a fair price on the car with extra features. The tactic of employing "store policy" to make a bogus charge seem official was not necessary and that's why I have to dock them a couple of points on the rating.

I have had my family's extra car for the last four years, which was an old, pre-owned Nissan Altima. Buying a car was a totally different and stressing experience for me, considering that I lacked the knowledge one needed to buy a car. Of course my father came with me, but a parent never guaranteed a happy experience. When we went to Route 23 AutoMall, the atmosphere seemed rather sophisticated. But the employees, especially Harold Vargas, were rather friendly. They were not only competent, warm, and inviting, but they created a happy and comfortable environment to be in. Where do I start? The Customer Service there was FANTASTIC! Any problem I had they knew what to do and how to satisfy their customer. I couldn't believe how friendly the staff were, and the deal they had were some of the best I've seen in years. I bought a used Nissan from them and the process was so smooth. I was able to work out a great deal that seemed pretty fair and I have to say I've been pretty happy about my purchase. Now I don't have to drive my old clunker anymore and I look great in my used Nissan that I bought from them. I'd recommend my friends AND family to the dealership, it's just that good. Bought my 2009 F250 when it was two years old with 23,000 miles. I had a few small issues to be fixed which were the plastic on the rear bumper coming up, power scope mirror not folding and was loose, and a power window that gets stuck going down. When I went to make the appointment I was told that I had the 5 year/60,000 mile warranty and what I needed done was covered, so I made the appointment. Two weeks later I brought it in and got a call back a few hours later saying to pick it up and nothing has been fixed. They said the bumper wasn't covered because it had been hit, it doesn't have one scratch or dent on it and has never been touched which I confirmed with the previous owner. Of course the window worked for them, but not for me later that night. They didn't even take the time to take the door apart to even take a look at the components. I was told the mirror would be $1,000 to replace. They told me that nothing had been fixed because my warranty expired, but two weeks ago they said I was fine. I would have never made an appointment, let alone take it to a dealer to be fixed without it being under warranty. Lucky for me there is an extended warranty on it that all I have to do is transfer over, so they say. This time and the rest of the future I'll be taking it to Wayne Ford.

My husband and I went to this dealership because we were thinking of purchasing a Nissan and a Ford and thought we could get a better deal for both at one dealership. Well, after wasting about 6 hours over 2 days, we just walked away frustrated. First, I was passed off from one salesman to another. Neither of them had any information regarding the cars on their lot. Freddy had a difficult time locating keys and we only test drove 2 cars. I even asked for a price comparison. Since I had my 18 month with me, I tried to leave when she got antsy. Freddy said that he would get in trouble if he didn't talk to a manager first, but the manager was busy. SO, when I went over to the manager, the manager just said that I could look up the prices online and would not provide the information I requested. I have to say, there was a "sweeeeet" Nissan Maxima that we were going to purchase, but we walked away because of the unprofessional nature of the dealership. Just so Route 23 understands what they missed, I did buy a comparable Maxima at Ramsey Nissan... where they could find the keys to my car!

The old bait and switch. They told me we had a deal and then we were $8500.00 apart at the close. In their favor obviously. That was after I went and got my trade in and wasted an entire Saturday afternoon.The original guy I started with was Mike Voorhees. He was okay. When they passed me to some other guy (I forget his name) that is when the nonsense started.The nonsense ended when he said to me, and I quote: I may not hear real well but I know what you told me! Can you freakin imagine? I swear that I was looking for cmaras like I was being punked!!!I think they were actually surprised that I left!I went to Ramsey Nissan months later (after I healed) and got a great deal. Ask for Chuck.

The manager started off by saying he had a very long day ,and then got very "insulted" when my girlfriend and I wanted to know the price of the car,not just what the lease payments would be. He said that he felt insulted that we would come into "his" house and question his honesty ,and that if any of the things we were concerned with were in the paperwork..... "WE WOULDN'T KNOW IT ANYWAY".The fact that he had the nerve to say that showed me he had zero regard for our business. I never in my life was met with such unprofessionalism in my life. This by the way was the guy that runs the place, so good luck if you decide to go there. I've heard bad things about this dealership before, but my friend wanted to check it out anyway. It left me feeling pretty terrible. I would say worst case scenario imaginable, come true.

i was in the dealership today. i walked around the parking lot looking to purchase a new ford edge for my wife( which i was going to buy cash as i do all my vehicles). i walked around for about 10 minutes and noone was around. i figured maybe they were busy and walked inside. i get inside and there are salesmen walking around and a few other people. but by no means was it busy. two men walked out of the back area and sat down at the large front desk(which i was standing next to) and began talking. one of the men a oriental looking man looked at me and did not say a word and continued talking to the other guy. i waited for a few minutes thinking maybe it was something important. turns out they were talking about a possible deal from the day before. well at this point when not a single person so much as acknowledged i was there i walked out. completely disgusted with this dealership. will not recommend to a single person. its a shame because if someone would have acknowledged me i would have driven the truck home today. cash. oh well their loss. terrible customer service.

I would not recommend this dealership to my worst enemy! I started my research for a new car here, and at the time, I wasn't even sold on the Nissan Sentra, as I still wanted to at least look into other manufacturers. I came in with my parents to get an estimate on the price of a Sentra as well as the value of my trade-in. The salesperson asked for the keys to my trade-in, and naively, I obliged. I never expected that he would essentially hold them hostage and refuse to give them back, insisting that "we need to make a deal tonight" even when I told him that I was not ready and there was no way I would make a deal that night. I politely told him I just wanted to see the car and get some estimates, but he refused to listen. He was extremely pushy, rude, and had a bad attitude. I left there very upset and angry, and I will NEVER go back to this dealer...even if they offered the same car for thousands less. I never would write a bad review unless I absolutely felt it necessary. Please do yourself a favor and go to Hawthorne or Ramsey Nissan instead. They are much more accommodating, will sit and talk with you without pushing you into anything you do not want. I left those 2 dealers completely at ease and feeling much better with my decision to buy a car.

Sor far so good. I left Route 46 Nissan with a terrible feeling and had my back up when I went to this dealer. Within a short time the salesman comforted me. We struck a deal and I am going in to pick up my car on Sat. I will keep you posted if anything changes. What a difference, do not go to route 46 Nissan unless you want to be screwed and pressured into buying a car. This place was so calm and professional. Again, I will keep you posted on the end experience!

RT. 23 Ford provides excellent customer service. Their sales manager, Scott has been most helpful for us each time we have purchased a car from them. A tip before going in is to research on line on places like Auto Trader and Edmunds what the actual dealer invoice price is so you can negotiate like a professional. I went in prepared with all the pricing and vehicle information I needed. My salesperson Steve gave me no trouble negotiating, everything was very straight forward. Bottom line I got what I wanted with no problem which was surprising for a dealership. Im totally happy with my car and my experience. RT. 23 Ford put to rest my negative perspective on dealerships and turned me into a happy buyer!

I shopped on line to get the best price and found out only Route 23 Nissan honored it! They were professional and went somewhere to get the exact car I wanted. My Sales guy Mike was funny and the manager Jeff really followed up. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a "real" deal.

Both Al, the finance manager and Joe the pre-owned sales manager were arrogant, rude and inefficient throughout the process. Would NEVER do business with this dealership again. Found comparable deals for less but they would not meet the price. If it wasn't for being far along in the process and having to get credit run again, I would have used Ramsey Nissan instead. Do your research before going to this dealership, their prices are not the most competitive and the service is terrible!
