While I was there, the customer service was horrible. I was waiting there for about 15 minutes just waiting for everything to get finalized. After I left, I had to call back to get a copy of some of the paperwork that I needed and they worked very fast to get me what I needed.

I think it took a little long to get in by the signing of the papers but we were offered something to drink and if there was anything else we needed while we waited. I brought in my used Civic I had just gotten for my 17 year old to have the transmission fluid changed this past Saturday.I had just gotten it, so I asked them to look it over good.They supposedly did there typical multi-point inspection and said that all looked good except that the air filter and cabin filter needed to be changed.I just changed these filters 4 days earlier so they were brand new. They obviously didn't look at them at all. Maybe this is an easy money maker for them given that they wanted to charge me $110 to replace $25 in filters that takes 5 minutes to do yourself.I had liked this dealership for service, but now I have serious doubts about it. And now I wonder if they even changed the transmission fluid given that they lied about the filters.The service adviser was not very friendly either.Confidence lost - I'll probably look to other dealerships for service going forward.

I am 58 years old, and have been buying cars all my life, but my experience with Darrow was the worse I've ever had, buying anything: Via email I requested a quote for specific Honda Civic model from Russ Darrow Honda. They responded with an email quoting a price for a specific Honda car (the quote included the VIN number). The quote was very competitive -- in fact it seemed too good. So I called the contact number included with their message. I expressed my concerns that the price seemed too good, and asked whether it included everything, such as destination charge, etc, and whether I could really buy the car at the quoted price. I was told that it included everything except the usual exclusions (license, title, dealer fee, taxes). I asked how much this would add up to, and was told a few hundred dollars, so that I could buy the car for a few hundred over the quoted price. At this, I agreed to make an appointment with the sales manager. When I came in, the manager immediately suggested that a salesman take me for a test drive. Instead I said I wanted to confirm that the quote was correct, because it seemed too far below invoice. The manager assured me that it was the correct price. I then asked again, in several different ways. After about 5 minutes of this, the manager finally said, "No, you can't buy that car at that price. That car has a protection package". The "protection package" was for "rust protection" and was of course completely unnecessary, but it added $1700 to the price. After this, I couldn't leave fast enough, but I was so upset at the flagrant dishonesty and contempt for my time that I backed into a car in the parking lot on the way out, and had to file an insurance claim. Later that day I called Darrow's general manager and he basically hung up on me.

Found a nice deal on a car I was searching for.... It Just happened to be at Russ Darrow. The salesman I dealt with was not very knowledgeable of the car. He didn't persuade me to buy it, my knowledge of value and cars made my decision. The other salesmen were not very professional as they were on their phones looking up YouTube videos of clearly not work related things right in front of my family. They were tossing tennis balls back and forth to each other across the room as well. Paperwork took a lengthy amount of time like usual, that's fine....however after the paperwork of waiting for over and hour, they wanted to clean the car. Which is great... But why wasn't someone doing that during the 60+min we were waiting for paperwork? You had employees playing ball, they weren't busy. Irritated and annoyed because it was late I told them to forget cleaning the car because it would be even more of a wait and I had to be home. I got home and discovered a piece of paper that I asked to have included with my paperwork, and that they said would be there, was actually not there. So I called the next day and they said it would be mailed to me. ...nothing. So I called the next week and they said they'd look into it...now Still 2 weeks later I haven't received anything in the mail. I called today and they said it was mailed but yet after watching the mailbox I haven't received anything from this dealer. After all my experience with this dealer, I'm frustrated and not impressed at all. I would NOT recommend this location or dealer to a friend. Very unprofessional, unkowledgeable, and not dependable.

I took my car in for a $12.95 oil change. When checking out, the service manager told me that the oil plug was stripped and I needed to get a new oil pan for $510.00. I contacted the General Manager, George Matthews, and explained to him that, since my last two oil changes were done at Darrow Honda, they are the ones that stripped the oil plug. He refused to do anything about this. In addition, they said I had broken links on my car and estimated repairs at $716.98. My local garage quoted me $275 for the same service. I will never take my car there again. Rip off!

I purchased a Honda Fit in 2009. The day after I purchased it, the "low tire" light came on. I returned for service. They turned off the light. A week later, the low tire light came on again. This time they pulled all the tires to look for a hole. They didn't really find anything. 2 weeks later, there's the light again. This fiasco went on for almost 2 years. The issue most likely was a faulty light, but their service department refused to acknowledge that there might be a problem. Their solution was to give me the phone number to Honda's main headquarters and told me to report a design flaw. My solution was to trade the car in for something else at a different dealership instead.I would not recommend this dealership.

I was given a quote from them for a new vehicle which was significantly better than any I had previous received, so I asked for the purchase order to be emailed to me so that I could confirm the out the door prices. They didn't want to send it to me, but just wanted me to come in (So they could subject me to some high pressure sales tactics no doubt). After a lot of stalling and delay (several hours), they finally sent it to me and it had accessory charges of several thousand dollars added to it (WHEN I HAD SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR A QUOTE WITH NO DEALER INSTALLED ACCESSORIES). When I asked for the purchase order without the added accessories they sent it back with the base price raised by the price of the missing accessories. When I pointed out that they said I could have the quote price without the accessories they responded that there was no way they would honor that quote as it was "too low". Well don't give me a price that you won't honor.TL;DR Don't waste your time, they will play whatever games they have to in order to trick you into coming in and getting screwed. Find a dealer who will be upfront with you instead.

Worst Honda dealer in the Milwaukee area. They advertise $25 gift card on their website for a test drive. After I test drove, the next day I called the salesman back about the gift card. He said it comes directly from the corporate. It has been 8 weeks now, no gift card. Fraudsters!Their service department sucks too. I once went for oil change. They advertise that they top off the fluid levels too. Before I drove the car away after the oil change, I double checked with the service guy if he has topped off the windshield wiper fluid. He said he did. On my way back, when I tried using the fluid, it was empty. What a cheat! Stay away from these cheats. Your hard earned money deserves a better dealer.

Victor was an excellent sales representative. I came into the dealership just to browse and ended up leaving with a brand new car that I love. He worked hard and diligently in order to get my car payment within the price I was looking for and went above and beyond to work with finance to get my loan approved for the exact car that I wanted. The facilities in the used car area could definitely use some updating but we were told that the facility would be moving to a new location. Absolute disappointment. Arrived to the dealership and had a VIP appt with Josh. He seemed as though he hadn't even heard my name before that second. Then told the specific car I drove 1.5 hours for had sold the night prior. I even confirmed the car I was coming for was still there before leaving my house. If that was a tactic to get me in the door I am disgusted. First response was that there is one in Chicago that I wanted. Or I can take the 1 white model they have at the dealership...oh and they slapped on $10k in unnecessary options to an already fully loaded vehicle while failing to mention any of that on the listing online. I've had bad car buying experiences before but this was the worst hands down. When we asked how we could get our hands on the color we wanted thru them the question was avoided and we walked out without thinking twice about if we made the right decision or not. If that was "VIP" service I'd hate to see how a regular customer is treated.

I found the van I wanted on Cars.com & emailed Russ Darrow on Brown Deer Road. Jennifer Hodge emailed back saying the van would be ready for a test drive & I'd be greeted by the manager when I got there. Neither of these happened. I did meet Ken Williams in the parking lot. It took him a while to find the van I had come to see. He was nice when I took it for a test drive & later when my husband came back with me to buy it. Mike was a little edgy during the sales process but Dustin was down right rude! I got up & left while my husband finished the paperwork with Dustin. Mike was not happy that we didn't want the extended warranty & Dustin was obnoxious about it & was YELLING at me that the vehicle I had just bought with my hard earned money could fall apart on the way out of the parking lot. I was given coupons for free oil changes but Dustin said they weren't any good because the van I got used a different kind of oil! The showroom was also dirty with old water bottles & garbage on the floor along the side of the desk. I got the vehicle I wanted but I hope never to have to back there again.

I was given a written quote on a new CR-V by salesman Jonathan Patrick. I confirmed the quote three times by email as the "drive off the lot" price inclusive of everything. Each time Mr. Patrick assured me that the quote he provided was accurate and firm. The day before I was to purchase the vehicle, I received an email saying that his manager, Brian, wanted to speak with me. Brian stated he would not honor the quoted and confirmed price. He said it was too low. He told me he would call me back with his best price. That was two weeks ago and I am still waiting. Stay far away from Russ Darrow Honda; they cannot be trusted.

We live 290 miles away from Russ Darrow Honda and were looking for a hard to find 2016, 2WD Honda HR-V. After failed attempts to locate the vehicle with our local dealer, Russ Darrow Honda came through. Jennifer Hodge communicated with us via internet sales and arranged for the vehicle we wanted to be reserved with a deposit. Lesia Matthis took over from there and gave us an excellent deal, no hassles, and a path to have the vehicle delivered to our doorstep. Jake in the business office arranged all of the paperwork to be talked over via a phone call and delivered, signed by us, and returned. Two professionals drove the vehicle to our door, excellent condition, very friendly. Overall, Russ Darrow Honda, based on our one experience with them, is the epitome of excellent customer service. Though we have a dealer less than an hour away and are not expected to be purchasing a new car in the near future, we would recommend them over our local dealer. Give them a look. We had troubles with our local Honda dealership giving us the "run around" on locating a 2016 2WD Honda HR-V (admittedly difficult to find in this region, i.e., new model, 2WD). We found what we wanted at Russ Darrow Honda's website and contacted Jennifer Hodges about the possibility of reserving and purchasing the vehicle, despite living over 200 miles away.We quickly got to a price that was very competitive via Lesia Matthis, the sales person. But, we were not planning on being in Milwaukee--we had a variety of things going on that prevented us from traveling there. So, we asked if delivery was an option. YES IT WAS!Sight unseen and without a trip to the physical dealership, we were able to sign paperwork via Jake in the business office via express mail and phone. We did plate transfers and the entire purchase this way. Then, Russ Darrow Honda delivered the vehicle TO OUR DOOR in excellent condition, driven by two professionals that were on-time and friendly. Our excellent treatment at Russ Darrow Honda is the epitome of what good customer service everyone should receive when buying a car. After 2 weeks of car shopping, I can honestly say that my experience at Russ Darrow Honda was leaps and bounds above the rest. Trent Schuette my sales representative, managed to find the perfect balance between exceptional responsiveness without aggressive/invasive Q&A. When I had a question he was there, as well as others on the team as needed, but while I was contemplating my decision I was not being hounded. And a side note for the women out there who, like me, are buying a car yourself without anyone else involved in the shopping-this is the best experience you will have! None of those invasive inconsequential unnecessary questions that are common while shopping ( you know what I am talking about). I also have to send snaps to Scott Falter who handled all the paperwork. There is a LOT involved in buying a car but he set the perfect pace and we got done in time for me to enjoy my new ride. Spent 4 hours reviewing vehicle and paperwork for the vehicle and was about to buy with cash/check when finance guy handling paperwork said you know the vechicle is not legal to drive in wisconsin- right? No, i did not know that. Idecided to have my mechanic look at it at 9:00 am the next morning. The mechanic told me the issues and the needed parts. We told the guy it would take 2 hours to get the cash and come back. We called when we were at the bank to ask how to make rhe check. The finance guy said hurry there are others looking, then transfered ti sales guy and we tild him we were leaving the bank 20 min estimation we should have estimated 40 but the sales guy saud no problem the other guy has financing and you have cash. We drove straight there went to finance guy he said sales guy had paperwork do we went up to sales. Then the sales person and the manage both approached us and said the just sold it to another guy with cash. They had oked the deal just 20 min before Seriously!!! When i said are you kidding we have been working on this deal since last night and all morning! He said " it is just business". Well it was my time and energy and what i thought was a deal with a trust worthy dealer. Boy was i wrong! Of course they wanted more of my time but only had "crap" to show me or higher priced vehicles. After being treated like that im taking my cash elsewhere because to them it is just business and hopefully they wont get sny snd will consider changing their ways

Reviewed websites to see used Honda CR-Vs available in the area. Russ Darrow had the best deal in the Milwaukee area. Went to test drive the vehicle and had a wonderful sales person and great sales process. Walked out the door that evening with a new used CR-V at a great price! Aaron Moreno and his sale manager treated my fair and I ended up with a great deal! We were given a great e-quote for a new 2016 pilot lx. We confirmed it was in stock, packed up the family and drove there To buy our new car. One problem. , the Car was not actually in stock. Only had ex or higher. When the features were not what we wanted/need the sales women tried selling me on a odyssey no matter how many times I told her I wanted/needed awd. Felt they purposely mislead us to get us in the door. The sales women didn't listen when I told her what our family needed. All around a poor experience. Although all the personnel we dealt with were nice, there was a serious lack of attention to details. We purchased a lease return vehicle and the inside of the car was not cleaned. Obvious coffee spills and other stains/dirt were not taken care of despite the fact I mentioned it twice. The gas tank wasn't filled up. Other dealerships we have purchased or lease from have given us a car with a full tank of gas. Another major concern was the confusing way the purchase price and added warranties were presented. The numbers didn't add up. We finally figured out that the warranty was included in our down payment so it didn't impact the overall purchase price of the car. When asked to remove the warranty, the dealer said they couldn't do that and wouldn't sell us that particular car. I understand that dealerships need to make money, but please be honest with your numbers. Don't tell us a warranty is included in the price, then tack on that price in the paperwork. Just be upfront that in order to purchase the car, and additional warranty is required.

I went to pick my new car up today. This would have been my 4th new car bought there since 2010, The sales manager, Josh had made an addition error ($36) on the paper work, and I pointed this out to him since I had my paper work from the previous day with me and the prices he gave me on paper. He admitted making the error, but would not correct it, and told me "I should just honor it". I told him it was not my fault he made the error, and I had paper work in hand outlining the deal we made. His response was, "Ok, we can just reverse everything, and put your plates back on your old car". I called his bluff, and walked out. This dealership lost a sale on a new car over $36, and lost a customer for life! In my opinion, VERY BAD CALL ON THEIR PART.

However the process of filling out the paperwork with the finance rep was not so enjoyable. RUSS DARROW DOESNT VALUE THE CUSTOMER!! cUSTOMER BEWARE!! They simply don't have customer service, you can only have bad customer service if you actually have it to begin with. Don't expect to much from your Certified Pre-Owned (CPO)purchase. When I called to make sure my CPO 2013 Honda CRV would be ready and was assured it would, imagine my surprise when it was not. Victor the salesman emailed me assuring all would be ready when I arrive. It was supposed to be detailed but when I picked it up it hadn't even been washed, dust on the hood, leaves under the hood and stains still on the inside. I brought that to George the sales managers attention and he says must have been some oversight he'll owe me a detail. Really thats your answer?? What about the quarter tank of gas?? Hey Hondas get good gas mileage (I only made a 210 mile round trip the mileage isn't that good) George says what do you want me to do?? Its to bad the financing was already done and the down payment cleared. But there's only one key?? They additional have keys for purchase only $100. George says CPO program only entitles you to one key (valet key isn't a real second key by the way) To bad the financing is done. George says we gave you all the keys we got back from previous owner. I don't think that's how CPO program is supposed to work?? Hey George where's the code for the three months XM radio for free. George says just give them a call it'll be just fine. George didnt even get out of his chair, he gave me the keys and pointed outside in the general direction of the car and said have a good night and thanks for shopping Darrow Honda. My first stop was up the road to fill the gas tank and put it through a car wash. The car isnow getting detailed at my great personal expense. I came to Honda as we own a 2009 CRV, I came to Darrow because of fair pricing, but I'm never coming back. Anyone can have a good price and Honda's sell themselves, I guess thats Darrow's problem because they don't VALUE THE CUSTOMER AND THE CUSTOMER IS NEVER RIGHT.

Bought a used SUV on a Saturday: cash. During the test drive I had to wait inside the vehicle 30-45 mins at the gas station while the salesperson refueled. After the test drive, I had to wait in the guest area for 2-3 hours back at the dealership before we completed the purchase. I went in investigate their $6/day Honda Accord lease program. The advertisement was $6/day, 3 years, no money down. I was offered a Honda Civic (less car) $476/month, $4000 down, and 3 years. A far cry from the Less than $200 month (30 days x $6 day = $180, no money down lease they were advertising.I agreed on a Honda Civic $325/month, 4 years, $2000 down. Then they needed 3 personal references, a ton of pay stubs, and my left kidney.Decided I didn't need a car that bad.

I drove up there on a holiday with my wife and two girls and tried to buy a car from Demetrious.The car I was looking at had some damage that I told him I would need fixed so he was going to talk to his manager about it.After talking to his manager he came back to us and threw some completely new and higher numbers at us and added on a few things that I doubt they even did so we ended up just walking out.I work full time and go to school full time so I did not have time for games.I ended up going to Heiser Chevrolet and bought a nicer version of what I was trying to buy here without all the games.I would go ANYWHERE ELSE before here.

But it had been seven years since having a buying experience. Jeff Z. welcomed us warmly and patiently went through all the bells and whistles of the new Honda in which we were interested. He was extremely thorough in explaining everything, including options and maintenance programs. The Darrow price was in line with the other dealerships in the area, but since our auto maintenance is also done there, we were glad to be able to also buy our new vehicle there. Justin, the sales manager, made the actual purchase pretty painless. As a side note, every time we entered the dealership, all of the staff greeted us in a most friendly manner.

I just purchased a used truck. On the test drive I heard a noise and suspected a u-joint or bearing. Used car manager insisted it was "road noise" from the new tire. I decided to purchase anyway because it was priced right. During the process they really pushed an extended warranty ($2400 for 36 months) which I declined. They REALLY pushed the warranty offering it for slightly less for 24 months and then less for 12 months and then "at cost of $800" for 12 months. I still declined knowing I was buying it as-is although I wondered if they actually knew more than they led on with the noise. Before I drove 60 miles the "road noise" has gotten almost constant and really annoying. I brought it to my mechanic in Michigan immediately. We have so far discovered a bend left rear axle and wonder what is happening in the rear differential as a result of this bent axle. Would this bent axle have been covered by their warranty? Probably not because it would be deemed "abuse" and anything associated with it would likely not have been covered either. Summary - if you are buying used and they are pushing their warranty, beware!

We made an appointment on a Friday to see a car first thing the next morning on Saturday. We had to drive 45 minutes to get to this dealer. When we go there at the exact time we had the appointment we were told the person we were supposed to meet with was out on a test drive. Then when we asked to see the car while we were waiting, they told us that car had been transferred to the Madison store the night before. We asked them to get it back for us. Then they told us that actually it had been sold. Just a pack a of lies to get us in the door. I'm not sure that car ever existed. We left and would never go back.

Wow, I cannot believe Honda will put their name on this dealership. Very shady things seem to be going on here. When we arrived, we asked to see a specific car that we had seen online. When they pulled it up for us to test drive, it was not the same car. They tried to ack like it was but when we called them on it they acted like it was a mistake. They then told us that the car we came to see was no longer available. After reading other reviews of cars being listed online and then not being there, I think it's a gimmick for them to get you into their dealership. These cars probably don't exist. Also, as others have mentioned, they are only willing to deal a few hundred off the asking price so do not expect them to be open to anything else you may offer. Im actually glad they didnt take our offer so that we could take our business to a teputable dealership. Please be warned-this is a shady dealer.

when i took my car to them i ask her to cover the seats by the mechanic repairing my car she said they would . when i went to pick up my new 2013 pilot the drivers seat was dirty with ground in dirt on a new leather seat the mechanic did not even cover the seat at all . the dealer ship does not even respect you as a customer, to even do good work. when i drove my car home the engine was making noise after they worked on it they said it was fixed !!. and they scratched the drivers inner door and they did not even put the proper amount of power steering fluted in it it was low i had to fill it after the repair when i got home i could smell engine coolant when i took it to the dealer it was for a engine recall to replace the engine lower block .. i called the serves manger about it when i got home and he said if i don't like there work i could always take it another dealer to get it fixed he told me when i bought the car i did not even buy it from them and why should then treat me special they don't even stand behind what they did if i would have know this before how they treat customer i would not have taken it there!!!. i would not trusted them with my brand new car .. i hope this will help others when they think of trusting this dealer ship to work on there car !!!..

I highly recommend that no one consider Russ Darrow Honda to purchase a vehicle from. I visited the lot on a Saturday to see a 2012 Honda Civic. After much consideration, I went back to the dealership on Tuesday looking to purchase the vehicle. I brought my Dad along, as I had gotten a "snake oil salesman" vibe from the used car manager and did not want to be taken advantage of. The car had several scratches, burn holes on the driver seat, and scratches on the interior, and was not in the best shape for a year old car. I pointed out these concerns to the manager In hopes of receiving a fair price for the car. He insisted he could not go under a certain price for the vehicle, I said I was not interested then and left.20 minutes later I receive a call from the dealership, saying they agree to my asking price for the car. I returned to the dealership, and waited over an hour as they did finance. When they returned with the pricing information, I was shocked to see they were attempting to add on over 400 dollars in "dealer fees". It quickly became apparent to me that they had hoped to separate my Dad and I, thinking I wouldn't notice the extra charges, and in turn they would get the price they wanted for the car. I refused to pay the dealer fees. That is when they brought a menagerie of employees over, who had all conveniently "recently bought a car from the dealership and had to pay the fees as well". Highly convenient that everyone working there had JUST bought a car! It finally got to the used car sales manager, who came and insisted he could not cut the dealer fee. I then asked for him to lower the price of my car by the amount of the dealer fee and then I would pay it. He said it was entirely not possible. I informed him I was going to walk away from the deal then. He then told me that I would need to walk then, threw the deal papers on the table in front of me, and stormed off. No handshake, thank you for stopping in, or anything.I really wanted the car, so if he would have ended the meeting in an appropriate manner, I would have waited for their call the next day. I was sure they would call to offer me a lower price as they apparently love playing the pricing game at this dealership. However, the manager was a despicable man and I would never give him a penny of my hard earned money. It sickens me to think of the uninformed people this dealership has swindled out of their hard earned cash.The best part was when they called me the next day, offering to waive the fees. I simply informed me at I had already bought the same car at Wilde Honda. It was a great experience, and if you are looking for a Honda, go to Wilde! They will treat you with the respect you deserve.

DO NOT GO HERE! My husband and I settled on a car after numerous phone calls with a salesperson there. We were then told to come in and look at it. We immediately went and by the time we got there there was no record of the car, someone had boughten it weeks ago. We eventually decided on another and have had nothing but problems with the sales lady, managers, service, etc. after getting the car home we noticed some scratches on the passenger side Nd a pretty severe dent, that was NOT on the car when we signed papers. we took it back and they refused to do anything anout it. BUYER BEWARE!!! If I could return the car I would just because these people are so rude and not helpful!!!!

Walter was an awesome salesperson! He was very helpful every step of the way! The car detailing crew could have done a better job with cleaning out the car and getting rid of random articles in the car. Also, we expected that the car would come with 2 keys but it only came with one after our purchase. We do appreciate tht they provided us with a discount on purchasing another key, but would have loved to know this in the beginning of the process.

To my surprise, my experience was a complete success! Not only was the welcoming staff professional, friendly and moved with urgency, but my sales experience was Great and I got the car I had dreamed of, literally! I am pleased and excited to say that not all dealerships are the same and I can speak from experience as I have driven 3 Hondas and I'm on my 4th. I stuck with one dealership for many years and decided to break the mold and visit Russ Darrow Honda and I'll continue to stay with Russ Darrow Honda! I could go on and on about my experience but take it from me, do yourself a favor and go visit and see for yourself.

I went to this dealer to look at certified Pilots. Not only was the one that I called about before I drove out not there and hour later. But they continued to lie about the price on anything I looked at. After a test drive they quoted me a price of 26500 on a 2012 pilot as the lowest he could go, the price on cars.com for the same pilot was 25300. When I told him that the advertised price online was 1000 less, he said, "For Real? oh no man that is a different car, I already sold it" . At that point took the key tag and showed him that the lot number was exactly the same. He didnt know what to say and needless to say I did not buy a car from him. Not only that but the pilot that I drove only had a clunky front end like a ball joint or tierod going out, the dealer said "Oh dont worry, this is a certified Honda, we'll fix that" , shouldn't a certified honda already be fixed before it goes out on the lot? Steer clear of this dealer, there are other honda dealers in Milw, go to them all and decide for yourself.

Absolutely horrible experience. I called one day at 4:00 pm to see if a certain vehicle was still on the lot and the people there confirmed it still was. Mind you I was driving over an hour and a half to Milwaukee to see this specific vehicle. When I arrived there at 6:30, the car was not there, in fact it was sold the night prior to me getting there. They then tried selling me other cars I was not interested in (different year, model, etc). I will never go to this Russ Darrow or any other ever again. Worst experience ever.

Bought a used vehicle from Russ' Honda dealership on Brown Deer Road. The salesperson and manager seemed nice until after I closed on the transaction. After that, when faced with the truth that they had sold me a lemon, the sales manager did everything he could to avoid me and deny legitimate facts. Too bad Russ Jr. employs him. Good thing other dealerships take a different approach.

We had a very very terrible experience with this dealer. The sheer waste of time that you made us go through was apalling. We had an internet quote of 26696 from you on 2013 CRV EX-L. We reach there, and after waiting, we are finally taken for a test drive. All good till then.Then we come back and wait a long time, only to be told that the sales manager Mike whom we had been exchanging mails through the day had left for the day. This, after we had been asking to meet Mike over phone, email and on reaching there!One of their salesperson Jake comes up with one exorbitant quote. When we question him about the email quote, he claims that the quote included some military discount, etc. Why would you provide someone with a quote with military discount without first checking if the person was from military? In my mail, I had also asked if the quote included everything, except the regular title, tax, etc, and the sales manager had confirmed. So was that quote to just lure us into the showroom, and then give us a higher price and hope that we bite? The salesperson Jake said that he was not aware of the emails, however he had the email quote. Seriously??!This was not the end. So Mr Jake asks us to show him if we had a better quote and he would beat that. We show at least couple of quotes on our phones. He starts questioning the validity of those quotes..remarks like" I donot know what these are?" I cannot stress more on this, these are not only people with clearly questionable ethics, these are folks who are not able to even admit their mistakes, even when they are staring them in the face. So Mr Jake goes back and comes back and tells us , and very rudely at that, that that's the best price we can get. So all his tall claims of seeing our lesser quote and beating that just went into thin air.To recap, here's the impression I have for your dealer, and I will post this in all relevant forums so that others can benefit from our experience:1) Terrible Terrible Customer Experience and Waste of Time2) Luring Customers with lower quotes, and then when the customer comes, quote a higher price, and say that the earlier quote had preconditions. None of the preconditions are of course mentioned in the email3) Bad attitude of the salesman, who pretend to feign ignorance of quotes already given. If a dealership claims to not know the conversation chains and the quotes that they put for their customers, nothing speaks worse of their lack of selling skills4) the MOST IMPORTANT : Basic honesty Despite claiming that this dealership will beat all other prices, refuse to acknowledge the price, even when displayed in a smart phone!We hope that they donot continue to serve such a bad experience to people who come to buy cars from them!! And that they not only learn to agree and correct their mistakes, but also correct their attitude to potential buyers.Oh, one more thing! We were asked in an extremely impersonal curt email which actually bordered on rude, on why we are not buying the car. Of course, we sent the above details, and voila, no further response from Mike, the "sales" manager.

I went there a week back to buy a used Honda accord. I was interested in their 2011 Honda Accord SE and 2009 Honda accord EX-L.Booked an appointment and went there. The person with whom I booked the appointment was no where to be seen . So had to take another sales person assistance. I explained my preferences. Then this sales person started going back and forth to speak with his manager(Dean). After few mins he informed that some other customer has put a hold on 2011 Honda Accord SE. Now the sales manager(Dean) asked me to either match or beat the offer made by the other customer(as if it is an auction). So I opted to look at 2009 Honda accord EX-L and test drove the 2009 Honda accord EX-L. I liked the car but couldn't agree on the price(with Dean Sales manager) and returned.A week after, I called them to check if the car is still available and made the same offer again. Dean(Sales manager) said the car is still available and that he would accept the offer that I made. So I booked the appointment at 06:30 PM on Monday. I called him(Dean) 4 times (from Monday morning to 2 hours before we started to their place) to check if the car is really available. I stay around 100 miles from this dealer and so wanted to make sure that the car is still available. Each time I called him he told me that the car is available. Then I questioned him why has it been removed from their website(asked the same question every time I called in). The last time I called him he said someone has put some advance on it and so the listing was removed from their website. But since they couldn't secure finance to him. Believing his words I went there. The same sales person(name unknown) assisted us this time too. We told him were are here to buy the 2009 Honda accord EX-L. This is where all the drama has begun.This sales person again started going back and forth to his manager(Dean) and finally comes back and says that they have sold it just 30 mins back ..lol.Are you kidding? I read reviews that dealers bait and switch. But this was my first direct experience. This dealer is such a liar. Dean was not even sorry for baiting me. And the sales person who assisted me just kept on saying that it wasn't him whom I called all the day. Now that baiting is done. They started to switch..Then this guy started saying why dont you look at other cars..afterall you have come from a place which is 100 miles away. I still cant digest the fact how can they cheat people for their business.

I was looking to getting into a smaller car, which i saw the flyer for russ darrow honda in the mail, i came in and spoke with nancy, oh, she was very helpful, i was on my lunch break when i came in to see her, nancy gave me a sheet of paper to fill out, i took it with me and filled it out, called nancy and made appt. to come in and see what car i can get, we did numbers and found the right one for me at the monthy price that i can pay. i drove the car home same night we did paperwork. i will come back for my next car here. Beware! When you want to do a trade... they will give you a very high amount... so it looks like they are the best. Once we gave them the go-ahead to purchase the vehicle... they tell us that the dealer that was going to purchase our vehicle no longer wanted it... so they couldn't do the trade AT ALL! What a waste of time and what a gimmick to get us to want to deal with them. Once we were ready to buy, the whole pricing & trade-in changed. They suggested we sell our vehicle by ourselves. We didn't want to do that. This was very unprofessional... and underhanded. We will never deal with them again and we will never recommend to anyone. Very, very unprofessional. Dale was our sales agent at the Brown Deer location. We were purchasing a new Pilot and hadn't purchased a vehicle since 2005... so it was a real learning experience. We shopped 5 dealerships.

walked in on a saturday knowing i wanted a honda fit and what i wanted to pay for it. salesman brought in finance man immediately who pompously wrote a price of $500 over any other dealer i had spoke with. he slid it across the desk and then he walked away, no room for negotiation. i walked out.

We had a very pleasant purchase experience with Russ Darrow. We finished the entire process in 2.5 hours and got the car delivered. Dale and Kevin took care of the sales part and gave us a great pricing and delivery. Nick took care of the finance and other documentation. He clearly explained the different options and took lot of time to explain us even after the closing hours. We highly recommend russ darrow. We never had such a pleasant experience when we visited other stores.

I needed to trade in my truck. With gas prices up and no need to tow or haul it was time for me to purchase a car. I worked with Chad Covert and he was very accomodating. He allowed me to actually drive the cars I was interested in. I didn't just go around the block...I DROVE them. When it came down to crunch time Chad gave me a fair price for my trade and an attractive price on a used Civic. I know Kelly Blue Book over values trade-ins so Chad explained to me how auction values dictate the value of a used car...not an internet site.Overall Chad proved to be a fair and reasonable man to work with. No blowing sunshine up my backside...just a man who loves cars and loves helping people.

I purchased a vehicle from Russ Darrow back in 2001 and had a very good experience. I decided to start my search for my next vehicle there since I felt comfortable with them.. I was shocked at what poor customer service I received. I found a CRV online and set up an appointment to test drive it. The man that was supposed to meet me for my 6:00 "appointment" was out with another customer. Dale took my father and I for a test drive. I liked the vehicle and we met to discuss the numbers for my trade-in and the purchase price for the vehicle. I had received an "Internet price quote" of just under $17,000. While speaking to Dale I discovered that the price was actually $3,000 more than what they advertised but that the Internet price includes a $3000 trade in or downpayment. He explained that this was a "goofy marketing that we recently began using". He stated that they could go down to $19,000 since I was such a valued customer with my brother being a former employee and my family always buying our cars from there. He then went to do the paperwork to get the "trade-in value" of my car. I was first asked my payoff which I was hesitant to answer as it seemed completely irrelivant while figuring what my car is worth. It wasn't looked by their mechanic but rather Dale himself went out in the dark, looked at the car and came back in to offer me a very low trade-in value. I had already done my homework and knew the value of my only 2.5 yr old car way much better. The first price that I was given was under the poor rating for my vehicle even though I was told what great condition it was in. I left and said I would contact him when I figured out the numbers. I e-mailed an offer the next day which was a Thursday. He e-mailed me that he would get back to me Saturday. He never callrd back. I called him a week later to ask about my offer. He said he was just about to call me. He said he would talk with the manager and get back to me after their meeting. He called at 3:30 that afternoon and asked me all of the same questions again like he never bothered to write it down in the first place. He called back a few moments later to give me a trade-in value of a few hundred dollars more but raised the price of the car an additional $136. Basically, canceling out the increase in my trade-in. I was so frustrated I just never called back. If you want to find a nice new or used car I suggest Gentile in Racine. Ask for Pete Christy... He found me what I wanted and withour the hassle. Not to mention it had 10k miles less and was the price I wanted.

On 1/20 made an appointment by phone to meet with chad Formico the next day to test drive a subaru forrester. When we arrived at the dealership we were told that chad was not there. I told them we had an appointment to test drive. The three gentlemen looked at each other and finally one said oh yea he told me about that last night. One of the other men then said is the car pulled out? He said no he had not done that and that the car was currently being shown to another customer.
