The "generic warning light" came on as I was driving. I was much closer to the dealership than home, so I went there. Turned out to be just a DRL bulb out, nothing catastrophic. I was due for an oil change and they fit that in too while I was there. I would recommend making an appointment, but they were very accommodating. Comfortable waiting lounge with wifi and coffee.

Sneaky tactics, typical used car lies. Said car was for sale, then after spending 2 hours test driving and checking it out, once we were ready to discuss purchase, we were told that they car was probably already sold, obvious tactics to pressure us to buy and not require them to fix what was wrong with the car.

I have interacted several times with Bill and more recently with Jim as well and both offer fantastic customer service on my prior 2013 ABARTH 500 and my current 2015 ABARTH 500 . They are exceedingly polite and try for accommodation and always pleasing the customer. One of the best service departments I have experienced in owning 23 cars since age 16. I would highly recommend this dealership and taking your Fiat to them for service.

After another collision center told us it would take two weeks to get an appointment, I found Safford Collision Center. Beatriz Portillo invited us to come right in and gave us an estimate in no time to do a front-end repair on our Lexus ES 350. The repairs when completed on time and at a reasonable price. Beatriz even stayed late so we could pick the car up a bit after closing time.

I have a 2014 Fiat POP 500 and have stopped by this dealership few times for small check ups, maintenance, etc. Since Safford-Tysons is in my neighborhood, I expected at he very least, the convenience of the closeness to my home. It turns out that this place is the best in business too. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Everyone in here is friendly, ready to help and highly efficient and capable. My wife and I test drove and purchased a Fiat Abarth from Safford Fiat of Tyson's and it was one of the easiest and nicest car buying experiences I ever had. The sales person even took the time to teach my wife to drive stick so she could test drive one with a manual transmission. The sales person and the manager worked with us to get us an Abarth at the price we wanted to pay. I didn't feel pressured and I felt like we were treated with respect.

My overall experience with Safford at Tysons was excellent. Levelle McKinney was extremely knowledgeable about all of the Fiats but worked with me to get the right model for me and my requirements. I knew I wanted to buy a Fiat 6 months ago but I wasn't ready and worked with Levelle several times in the last month . Our interactions were always very friendly and comfortable not the high pressure sales tactics that turn people off. Levelle you are awesome! Recently stopped into Fiat of Tyson's and had the pleasure of working with the salesman Cliff. He was super knowledge and friendly about the Abarth. He let me test drive the car twice and took me on two different back road routes! This really let me get a good feel for the car and I was super happy about that. I have bought many many cars.....this is the first time that I have ever written reviews on anything, but they were so bold faced in their LIES that I felt I must warn others. They will tell you anything to sell a car. We bought a car for our daughter that we paid cash for. They wanted us to fill out a credit application which we refused to do because we were paying cash. They said that the state required a background check for cash purchases and they wouldn't actually run our credit just the background. Today I got letters in the mail with the results of the CREDIT check, when I called them, they said it was their POLICY. Had they told me their policy when I bought the car I wouldn't have bought it so they LIED!!!!!

In fact, he encouraged an eager sales manager to ease off and give me space to think about my purchase (...which he did). I have to say, without a doubt, that Cliff Landsman is a great salesman. He knows his stuff and can be quite convincing! I mean that in the best way possible because while Cliff is here to sell cars, he doesn't force anything on you. It was a very low-key and no pressure experience from him. In a day and age where haggling is slowly disappearing, dealerships need to find new ways to get people to buy cars, and Cliff gets it.He told me he would "treat me like [his] own son" and, while I first thought it was just a simple marketing gimmick, it is true. He took a genuine interest in me and I quickly knew that, while a sale was important to him, my satisfaction was just as important. I was comfortable and calm despite the stress of buying a car!There were a few issues with paperwork, requiring me to go back twice. Nothing to do with Cliff, and it certainly wasn't anything terrible, but a slight nuisance. I even drove the car off the lot (it was a used car) and found out the horn didn't work. They agreed to repair it at no cost to me - despite me agreeing to the car "as is" (the norm when it comes to used cars). Cliff is genuine and honest, and passionate about cars, making the process easy, informative, and very personal. Ask for Cliff!!

I had been to a different Fiat dealer earlier in the day and had not had a positive experience. When I got the Safford FIAT of Tyson's Corner, I was greeted immediately by Cliff Landsman. He helped me immediately and answered all of my questions. He showed me all of the cars that I was interested in and explained the differences between all of the cars he showed me. It was a positive atmosphere and he showed me all about how the car operates. I did decide on a FIAT that day and drove away in my new car with a good deal and a positive experience. I was looking for a used car and Safford had just the one for me! The car was down in Fredericksburg, but they were nice enough to bring it up to their Tyson's location for me to look at since I live in Fairfax. The car was in great condition and had low mileage which was a pleasant surprise since it had two previous owners. I knew I wanted a Fiat and Safford was the dealership I decided upon after a lot of research. I got to the lot and Babar came out to ask if he could help me. I told Babar that I needed a few minutes to look around and I would get him when I was ready to role. My goal was to make a purchase, but I was not clear on the model. This dealership was nothing short of amazing. I received an awesome deal on my troubled trade in and the staff was so friendly. They offered refreshments and Babar even offered us his person snacks. I was very mipressed with all aspects of my buying experience at Safford's. The dealership was very clean and professional in appearance, I was greeted when I walked in and made to feel very welcome and comfortable by the staff. I had already received a firm "out the door" price prior to coming to the dealership through their internet sale program. My sales representative, Cliff Landsman, was terrific. He was extremely knowledgeable and congenial. He paitently walked me through every step of the purchase process and explained every step (and document) clearly - and anwered all my questions. He also gave me a thorough "walk through" of all of the features of my new verhicle and made sure I was completely satisfied with both the vehicle and any questions before we finished the process. All in all, I can highly recommend this dealership, and especially Cliff Landsman. He, along with the rest of the staff, made it a very pleasant experience. I will also add that my interaction with Cliff and the rest of the staff at Safford's after the sale has maintained the same level of friendliness and quality as my initial experience.

I dropped into the dealership on a rainy work day at lunch on a whim to peruse used vehicles because I had received an email from the Safford Fiat dealership just after I had gotten an on-line value for my C-250 from Auto-Trader. My intention was to look at used cars to lower my monthly payments, get rid of both current vehicles, and simplify my life. Mark Cowdin introduced me to Babar, who took me on a test drive of the 2014 500L .. and it was pretty much "love at first drive". Babar answered all my questions, was very professional and yet so fun to converse with.. and a few hours later, after Mark had worked to get me the deal I was after.. I was a new Fiat owner, had traded in both my vehicles, and never went to another dealership! It was amazing to me that I could get all the luxury features I had loved in my Mercedes in the roomy 500L, including free (service) loaner car for life, and cut my mo. car payment in half. I am in love with my roomy, comfortable new little Italian "Bella Contessa" ("her" name from "Under the Tuscan Sun"), and my new Fiat Family at Safford :)

I was very pleased with the service provided by the staff at Safford Fiat of Tyson's Corner. When I first contacted Safford Fiat, I spoke with Mark Cowdin. He was very accommodating and was able to help me get the car that I was interested in at the price I could afford. On the day that I went to the dealership to look at the car, Mr. Cowdin was not available. Mr. Cliff Landsman assisted me with the purchasing of the car, and he could not have been more helpful. He made sure the car was vacuumed and gassed up before I drove it off the lot. Purchasing my car from Safford Fiat went very smoothly in large part to the quality of service given my Mr. Landsman.

Cliff did the things I expected of a good dealership: he walked me around the dealership, and he introduced me to the manager of the service department. Cliff said that, "he wants to get people in the right car". He demonstrated this by willingness to go on three separate test drives with us to answer specific questions about the Fiat.Both Cliff and the sales manager Mark were easy to work with. Our negotiations on the purchase felt professional and I believe everyone came away with "wins", which is the sign of a successful negotiation. They provided a fair price, based on my own research, for my trade in vehicle. In 2012 I was seeking a transition from Hummer 3 to commuter car. I was bouncing between the Mini and Nissan dealerships on Route 7 when I saw the Fiat sign and thought "I should give them a spin later this week." I stopped in on a rainy evening after work and fell in L O V E with a 2012 Lounge Convertible that I quickly named "Olive." Knowing better to than to make an impulse buy, I chatted with Cliff then went home to consult my family. Days later we returned, the family was also in love... and Cliff and Mark worked quick and efficiently to get me into my dream commuter car! When we went to pick up tags weeks later... my family also fell in love with the white with red top convertible. "Pearl" became our second Fiat in the family!The moment the Fiat 500L, 4 door/hatchback became available, we were at Safford yet again to replace our old kayaking car. With room for a roof rack, and tons of personality - we added "Rudi" to our Fiat family in 2014! Rudi has a zippy engine, massive leg and head room and has carried us on several fun trips so far!For each purchase, Cliff Landsman was the best person in the world to partner with! He quick, witty, personable and knows his product VERY well! Mark has always been a tremendous support on the back end of the deal. One last shout out for the SERVICE TEAM at Safford Fiat. They have always been amazing - appointments are not difficult to secure, I enjoy the music being played by the service team as they work in the garage (usually more fun than the tv available to you while you sit), etc. They always bring my babies; Olive, Pearl or Rudi back to me bright and shiny.... ready to rule the road!

I will never contact this dealer again. I contacted them via email with a specific question about a specific car. They contacted me and refused to answer my question about the car and kept insisting that I drive up for an appointment to meet with them. I felt that this was inappropriate. all I wanted to know was did this car have the panoramic sunroof. They kept calling saying we want you to come in to talk to us we do a better job when you talk to us. Never once did the answer my simple question which was a required option on this car. I was not looking at other cars, just this specific car. At that point I told them to take me off their list and never to call me again.

I went to Safford Fiat to get my car inspected. The reason I picked Safford is because I have an amazing experience with their collision department and Scott Mizzell. First, they tried to charge me over $1000 to have my brakes and rotors fixed. When I took my car someplace else they insured me it was only the back brakes. I got them fixed for $60 and took them back to Safford to have my car reinspected. I was in there for no more then 5 minutes when the very rude inspector comes in, rasing his voice saying I changed nothing. Since I know little about cars I called my father and had Bill discuss the issue with him. Mr. Huff criticzed the brake job, then proceeded to get verbally abusive. My father then told him that he would confirm his findings through the state police and we would go somewhere else to get an inspection. Apparently this made Mr. Huff even more mad because he then proceeded to refuse to give my car back to me. We were moments away from calling the county police to return my car when Scott from the collision department came over and got my keys for me. I have spend over $3000 at Safford this year, and the way I was treated by Bill Huff and the service department is very disappointing. If you do not drive a fiat and need to get your car inspected stay FAR FAR away from Safford Fiat and Bill Huff- all they will do is verbally abuse you until they get your money.

My partner and I stopped in *just for a test drive*, but ended up with a new Sport within an hour. This was partially because she was ready to buy, but also because of the fun and easy experience with Marcello and Terry. First, let me say that our purchase experience was very enjoyable. Our sales person Marcello was very knowledgeable and the actual purchase was uncomplicated and easy.The receptionist that was there each time we were there is wonderful and friendly.The follow-up to the purchase is where this dealership lost me. 1. The car had a "check tire pressure" light on the day I purchased it. We were told the tires sometimes lose a little air because they sit on the lot for extended periods of time. No one volunteered to fill the tire with air. The next day we discovered there was a large screw in the tire. I had to drive all the way from the District back out to Tyson's, drop the vehicle of and then back up to pick it up after I returned from a trip.2. Getting my permanent DC tags has been a real hassle. First of all, I had to call 3 days before the temporary tags were about to expire as no one had called me. When we went to pick up the tags we were told we still owed $55.00 for the tags. Saturday (5/28) when we arrived at the dealership, no one could explain to me why we still owed money for the tags - there was a line item in the finance paperwork that clearly stated we paid for the tags and registration at the point of purchase. The finance manager (in an extremely patronizing manner) said that he didn't know why...the price was always different when registering a vehicle in the city. I paid for the tags. Then, the tags were just handed to me - no one offered to take the temporary tags off and attach the permanent tags.After I left, I realized what a ridiculous thing it was to tell a customer you don't know why they still owe you money, but you do. I put a stop payment on the check and called the dealership back today. Finally, after waiting to get in touch with someone who knew what they were talking about, I was told that the extra money was for a parking ticket that the dealership had paid for on our behalf. Furthermore, they explained it was paid as a courtesy so "the temporary tags didn't expire". Now there is no way to see what ticket was paid as there is no ticket under my license that is showing unpaid. I paid for the tags with a card over the phone, but when I asked what happens if I don't pay you, the title clerk said we'd send you to collections.This process of getting an explanation should not have been so hard and if you indeed paid a ticket on my behalf you should have called and said so to begin with. As I said earlier, the purchase of our new Fiat 500 was great and we absolutely love the car. However, the way we were treated after you got our money and sold us the car leaves much to be desired. I will not recommend this dealership to any of my friends in the future. You are not the only Fiat dealership in the area and I will recommend any one who asks me to take their business to another dealership. You very nearly had a loyal customer in me, but your follow up and follow through for a customer that just purchased a new car from you ruined that.Again, a big thank you to our wonderful salesperson Marcello and the receptionist (forgive me, I didn't catch her name) who works there on Saturdays.

I had an excellent buying experience. I worked thru USAA car buying service and placed all of my car criteria on the website Friday at 1200. Within two minutes they were on the phone speaking with me about the vehicle and setting up an appointment schedule. They did not try to up sale or pressure me in any way shape or form. I walked in at 1000, test drove the vehicle and walked out with a new vehicle within two hours and thirty minutes. I am totally delighted with the entire experience and would unconditionally recommend buying a vehicle from these professional and courteous people if you're in the market for a FIAT 500.

99 Flash red GTI. We all new it needed a timing belt but my issue is it had a new inspection sticker? The left headlight mount was broken from being hit hard on the left and the windshied washer pump sprayed fluid everywhere but the windshield. How did it pass inspection? I made them a reasonable offer but Mark said they had so much in the vehicle that 4,995 was as low as they could go. I wasn't gonna let their bad decision be my problem so I walked out.

I love my new Rame Fiat 500 Sport. Thanks to Marcello for helping me purchase a birthday present for myself. He and everyone at Safford was great to work with and were always making sure I was happy. Update 1/21/12 - We have been duped by this dealership. When shown the CarFax report on the car we were purchasing, it showed an accident, but the dealership said it was an error, and that their inspection showed no damage. WE agreed to a deal, and they said they'd stand behind any issues that might arise.2 days later, an indicator in the car showed low tire pressure. Safford referred us to our own mechanic, and said if he couldn't fix the problem to bring it to them. A little air seemed to solve the problem. For 2 weeks.Again the low air pressure indicator came on, and now a whining noise is heard from the engine compartment. We took the car directly to our own mechanics, whom we trust implicitly (Schmitz Exxon in Tysons Corner). They identified several specific problems which would cost about $700 to repair, and prepared estimate paperwork for us to take to Safford Fiat. They said that clearly these problems (leaking power steering fluid, problem with engine mount) had been there when car was sold to us, and not disclosed.The service person who answered our call at Safford was rude, beliggerent and inappropriate with his comments toward us. He said he wasn't responsible for the cars' problems and didn't want anything to do with it. We reported his attitude and behavior to Mark, the sales manager.We have had the car repaired at our own expense. It cost us $1366.90. The power steering gear box assembly was replaced and refilled with fluid. No leaks were found after replacement. A 4 wheel alignment was necessary. Both serpentine belts were removed and replaced, then checked for proper tension and operation. The right front lower enging mount required replacing. The transmission fluid level was found to be 3 quarts low and was refilled. This was supposed to be a "Certified pre-owned" car. Clearly,Safford did not do a thorough exam, or they did and did not disclose these problems. They offered us no feeling of confidence and security that needed repairs would be done correctly after we had them diagnosed by mechanics we trust, which is why we proceeded with the repair away from Safford. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM SAFFORD FIAT. THEY ARE DISHONEST AND YOUR DEAL WILL NOT BE FAIR.Need to add one positive comment about Cliff Landsman, who was the sales person we originally contacted, and wanted to work exclusively with. We got taken away from Cliff by Marcello on our second visit, despite saying we were willing to wait until Cliff finished with some current customers. Cliff would have been honest with us about the car we were considering, and I believe the problems would have been disclosed in advance for us to evaulate.

We went in to look at the Fiat 500. We received a very warm welcome and courteous help from Salvatore, he answered all our questions, pointed out features on the test drive without trying the hard sales approach I came back several days later to explore financing options, rececived excellent service from Mark. I eventually decided to hold off on the purchase until the MSRP on the Abarth version is announced. I'll go back to this dealership for my purchase. - Gene

I had an amazing time purchasing used Acura at this dealership. My sales associate Marcello was a pleasure to deal with and went well beyond what was necessary to help me with my questions and concerns with the car. This was a bit of a travel for me to come to, but was well worth the trip! Marcello even got my girlfriend interested in a new Fiat, so we might be coming back again.

Fiat 500 was one of 5 cars to which I had narrowed down my search. The representatives at the dealership answered all my questions but without a "hard sell". Maybe it's because they know they don't have to - the car sells itself. The test drive was very important to me and I asked one of the salesmen to accompany me because I am not that familiar with the roads near the dealership and because of the major construction in the area. Again, no hard sell but he did point out some of the (very desirable) aspects of the car. When I made my decision, they also helped me with all the details such as setting up the blue tooth, and familiarization with the car. The staff at this dealership know their product and are genuinely excited about it.The experience of selecting and purchasing my new car through this dealership was completely positive.
