This is a review for my buying experience: My sales rep Brian Lane was knowledgable about the vehicle I was buying. He answered all my questions, as well as gave me a tour of the vehicle's feature. Every one at Santa Monica Ford helped me through the process of buying a car were very friendly and efficient. From the sales rep, to the finance department, to the car detailing team were amazing. not a good place to take company cars, on average our cars sit parked in the back lot for 20-45days untouched and unstarted which are verified by GPS and computer tracking information logs. they are returned caked in dust, infested with ants and with dead batteries. 97% vehicle is returned within days with same issue that was never fixed. Take your vehicle to Marina or El Segundo you will get better service!

I took my 2015 Lincoln MKZ in because of a recall and also for the rear camera not working. Asked for a loaner. I was told that I am not entitled to one, which is not the case according to the Lease documents.I was told that most likely the camera does not work because I pair my I-phone 6 with the car. I left the car there and ask for a ride back to my house. I was told by the driver after giving him my address that according to Co policy the limit is 5 miles. I told him that I am not sure about the exact distance, but I think it is around 5 miles. We got on the highway and after less that 10 minutes he told me that he thinks it is over the 5 miles and he will have to drop me off. I asked him to exist the freeway which he did and I had to continue to walk from the exit back to my home. I was very upset.When I came back they said it is the phone that caused the problem and I should get in touch with Apple. There system is based on Microsoft. He said that they re-set the system and it is working fine now. When I got back to my house and tried to back into my Garage the camera did not work again. I called Lincoln "In Vehicle Technology" Tec. support and I was told by them that this not true. The phone has nothing to do with the camera and that the dealership did not follow protocol. They should have call Tec Hot Line before they reset the system. I leased this car with safety in mind and having the rear camera was one of my main consideration.Don't buy a car from them and never take it for service there. You will be disappointed and upset like me.

Santa Monica Ford (SMF) is owned and operated by a guy named Ron Davis.Personal experience: Our 6-month old Ford Fiesta SFE, which we had leased from a different dealer had to be towed to SMF because the engine was overheating. The issue was diagnosed as a defective part. We were told it would take 3-business days to get the part in. The part came in a day earlier than estimated and we were informed the car was ready. When I went in to pick up the car, I informed Mario Rea, the service rep that distance driven showing on the car was in kilometers and not miles - this had caused problems with my previous car when I had to trade it in. In indicating this, I apparently crossed a line with Mario, which I shouldn't have. Realizing Mario was happy to go to the car and get the distance in miles, I offered to go for him. I was told that I should and I did. When I returned, I was made to sit and wait like a child in the principal's office, until Mario decided that he had to finally deal with me since no one else was available. After the change was made, I went over to the cashier to check out. I asked if I could speak to the Services Manager. I was told the Jenna, the cashier that he had left for the day - later it turned out to be incorrect. She asked me why I need to speak to the service manager and if she could help me since she was also the "Customer Relationship Manager". I started explain my frustration with Mario and how he had treated me poorly. As I was speaking to Jenna, Mario started screaming at me across the room and walked over to the area I was standing in a threatening manner. As I told him to back off and that I wasn't speaking to him, he told Jenna to "call the police". So Jenna picked up the phone and started dialing - I assumed the police. Within minutes the Service Manager who had "gone home" came over to the services department. As the manager walked in, Mario said, "xxxx with this. I'm getting the xxxx out of here". At this point, I simply asked for the Service Manager's business card and left. The next morning, I went back to the dealership and asked to see the General Manager. Well, lets just say, my experience with the GM/Owner, Ron Davis made Mario Rea look like a gentleman and a scholar.If you have any option other than Santa Monica Ford - my advice is to TAKE IT. Ford Motor Co should not associate itself with these clowns.Accuracy of my experience & comments: Don't take my word for it. Check out the other reviews here and on Yelp.

I worked with Victor Ramirez and bought a Ford SUV. He was the only salesperson in Southern CA (I went to several) who knew about his product, but who also went the extra mile to research and find exactly what I was looking for. He always returned my emails, even when I bothered him on his days off, and made the final purchase go very smoothly. I've called many times and gone in twice, and these people act like it's a huge inconvenience for them to have to fix my car. They are not in a rush to help you, are rude, and make you feel like a nuisance for asking them to fix your car. I mean, really, the gall! Taking my car to the dealership to have it fixed! You're right, Mario. I'm out of line. You're right to treat me like pond xxxx.I recommend going to Star Ford in Glendale. It's far away but they're always super nice and accommodating.

My experience at SM Ford was absolutely great to say the least. I give 5 stars to Santa Monica Ford for the excellent customer service that was provided to me by Justin and Tim Kamotto, they were excellent in helping me pick my car which is a ford mustang, [Ive been wanting this car since I was a teenager and my dreams finally came true]. These two gentleman had an amazing attitude and made me feel right at home I began my process over the telephone with Justin which made things easier and so much faster once I made it to the dealership. I was only there for a couple of hours and was able to enjoy the rest of my day in my new car. The reason I turned to Santa Monica Ford when I was in the market for a new car was because Justin made me feel at ease in initially speaking to him over the phone, many other dealers were calling but Justin was so friendly and didnt make me feel like he was a salesman he really listened to what I wanted. I found this dealership through the Internet, and I was extremely happy with my choice. I was used to traditional dealer tactics, and I was very concerned with the idea that they might pull a fast one, since I was a lady and my husband was not able to go with me and it turned out to be the best car buying experience Ive ever had and the most satisfying for me its been a really long time since Ive smelled the new car smell unless. I will definitely look to this dealership first when I am looking to purchase my next vehicle and hopefully Justin and Tim Kamotto will be there because theyre the ones that made my experience so pleasant.

The car that I bought was the same price, however it has 40,000 miles less than the one at this dealership and a newer model. I was at the dealership trying to buy a used car. The building looks like it has been run down with poor service. The salesman are old and it looks like they have not sold a car for weeks. The manager Chris will not negotiate a fair price for the used six year old car. He will not even get out of his office and talk to his buyers regarding the price of the car. It you are looking for a car, look somewhere else.

Worst Ford dealer I have ever been to. I am originally from Detroit, and now live in Santa Monica. I tried calling into the dealer to get a quote on four new tires. The operator connected me to the parts department. The guy who answered the phone was extremely rude to me. He kept cutting me off, and talking over me, not allowing me to speak. His tone was very demeaning and kept raising his voice. When I finally got a word in, I explained that I also need a price for a discount that I wanted to apply. That made him more angry and said I needed to speak with the service department for that. No problem, I said, please connect me to that department. When connected to service, the employees there said they were unable to look up the discount for me, and only the service manager can help with that. They said they will connect me to the service manager.I tried for two days straight to get a hold of the service manager for help. After getting the run-around from the receptionist (Oh mam, I'm sorry, he's in a meeting. Oh I'm sorry, he's with a customer. Oh I'm sorry, he's out to lunch), being sent to voice mail repeatedly (and yes, I left multiple messages that were ignored), and just out right ignored, I made a trip personally to the dealer to get a quote.I FINALLY see the service manager, and he could care less that I'm there, or that I have been trying for 2 days to get a quote on tires. He gives me incorrect information on tires. He keeps giving me the full retail value rather than the discount price. When I bring the error up, he insists it is correct. It is not. He says he will put the quote information in my file so I have it when I return to buy tires. Then, while I am still sitting in the office with him, he starts doing other paperwork and ignoring me. Oh, I guess you are done with me then?? How rude!!I thank him for his time and walk out of his office. Then realizing he didn't take down ANY of my info to enter my quote info into my file, I return and say, "you don't have my info. Should you take it down so you can enter it in?" He looks extremely uninterested and takes down my phone number. I say, "How about my name? Wouldn't that be helpful info?" He takes my first, not my last name. Then he slings the piece of paper with my info onto a pile of papers that he will never look at again.I have never been so poorly treated at a dealer, and will not be returning there (obviously). I highly recommend avoiding them!

This dealer is a joke, sales was very mean, tricked customer with 3x more interest rate, then hang your phone and treated you like dirt, yeh so you don't like customer, no problem, there are tons of others cheaper and a lot nicer ford dealer, stay away with this one, deal is bad as well

Purchased new Ford C-Max Energi from this dealership . Found them because they were participating in the Costco Auto program. However, not every dealership in the program allowed the C-Max into the program - in other words, those dealerships did not want to guarantee low cost pricing. But this dealership did and they were wonderful to deal with. Never felt pressured to purchase more product than we wanted at any time during the entire 2 hours we were there to pick up the car and do the paperwork. They also quoted me right over the phone the price of the car. Another dealership would not do that and made me go to the dealership just to get the price so they could hard sell me once I got there. Santa Monica Ford was a real pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend them to others. Unfortunately I live in Chatsworth and will not be taking my car there for service.

I needed a new car and decided to shop around, as usual most dealers are friendly to a point but its that creepy I really just want as much money as I can get from you and then I want you off my lot friendship. That wasn't the case when I worked with Frank, he made me feel right at home and I never felt any pressure at all. He answered every question I had and worked with me to find the car I wanted in a range I was comfortable spending. If you have ever been to enough car dealers you know that feeling you get when a salesmen walks up to you and your gut reaction is this guy is going to take advantage of me, its the opposite with Frank, the man makes it his personal goal to make sure you walk away happy. Frank Cook is the guy you should look for when you walk into their dealership.

Santa Monica Ford Service is a disasterous place for service. Based on my experience I would strongly advise against taking an auto to this location for any reason whatsoever; if there is no damage or malfunction before bringing in the auto, there likely will be after departure. I took my auto to this location for repair of the electrical system and for a new battery. When I arrived home after completion, the battery was almost dead and a one inch by one half inch hole and a one inch length of yellow discoloration had been created in the carpet directly beneath the parking brake. Additionally, a streak had been created across my newly upholstered vinyl front seat. When I took the auto back, they reported that they had installed a defective battery. When I called attention to the large hole in the carpet, the service manager claimed it had been created over a long period of time and that I had not noticed it. He refused responsibility for its having been placed during the recent service. His statement is absurd, since I had been operating the vehicle for years and had examined the area during the day before bringing it in and had not seen noticeable damage at that clearly visible location. When I went to leave after their defective battery had been replaced, I found that the rear view mirror was no longer attached to the windshied. Service personnel at this location are not competent at making repairs and additionally do not use care to avoid damaging customers' vehicles left with them. In my experience if a person takes their auto to Santa Monica Ford for repair, they are likely to experience poor repair work and damage to their vehicle that management will not admit responsibility for. To further illustrate the dangerous ineptness of repairmen at Santa Monica Ford, several days after the above service I discovered that the electrician had replaced the positive red battery cable with a black one and had replaced the negative black battery cable with one that was red.

I was viewing one of their listings,and saw something I liked. The ad said 35,000 miles but when I got there, the car had 40,000 miles on it. They said they had loaned it out to a employee for a while and had just forgotten to change the ad. needless to say I walked.

I turned to Santa Monica Ford when I was in the market for a new truck. I found this dealership through the Internet, and I was extremely happy with my choice. I was used to traditional dealer tactics, and I was very concerned with the idea that they might "pull a fast one" after I drove 200 miles to buy a truck. This was not the case, and it turned out to be the best car buying experience I have had. I will definitely look to this dealership first when I am looking to purchase my next vehicle.

I left several messages for Bob Cain which went unreturned for over a week. After numerious attempts, I tried him again on a Monday morning, explaining to the receptionist that I was trying to reach Bob and had left messages. She transferred me to him yet again to his voicemail, except that the greeting was now changed to say that he's out of the office.I called back and informed the receptionist that Bob is out and she said "I know" so I asked if there's a back-up person and she said "no". Overall a non-responsive dealership, with bad customer service. Would NOT recommend doing any business with them.

What can I say, it was the best purchasing experience I have ever had. From my past experiences in purchasing other vehicles at other dealers I was not looking forward to stepping back into a dealership but you guys have proved me wrong, so thank you sooooo much for handling everything in such a professional and timely matter and oh yea, I love, love, love my new Ford Fusion Hybrid. I bought a Lincoln with SYNC and they have no one that services SYNC. You buy a car with SYNC here and you're on your own. Since I am not a techie, this was a problem. They are stuck in the 50's when it comes to technolgy, plus they are rude about it. I took my service of the Lincoln to a nearby Ford Dealershp, which is working out o.k. (Berge Ford)

Todd, my new-car sales rep, was friendly.However once my car had been picked and paperwork was handed off to Sales Manager Billy Lourie my experience went downhill.After several unreturned phone calls and multiple visits, Billy Lourie could not have cared less about me as a prospective buyer.Apparently after finding out our credit score was not as high as we had ESTIMATED, he just wanted to toss me and my paperwork in the trash.He was a typical case of a fat, sweaty, bad car salesman that couldn't give a damn about anyone but himself.Billy Lourie, you are an ass and you need to go on a diet.And I suggest you stop treating people so poorly.I would have opted to get a less expensive car from this dealership to make it work but now my business here is done.Oh and clearly "jmoney" works or is friends with someone at this dealership.

Incredibly easy to work with! I originally sent an e-mail inquiry to SM Lincoln and Mike was the person who returned it with all questions answered. Not your typical salesperson/dealership - they actually return your phone calls and aren't snooty like their neighbors at SM BMW. Overal, a great buying experience.
