I was referred here by my insurance company for repair of rear bumper after minor accident. A plus customer service from Lauren in Body Shop. Courteous, polite, patient. Not only was my car repaired, staff cleaned it inside and out. Highly recommend.

I left my car for service because my brakes were squeaking. Meanwhile I had my brakes and rotors done here 6 months ago. After more then a day and a half of having my car they told me that the service drove my car and didn’t here anything. When I went to pick up my car and back up and braked they squeaked. When I called the service outside he drove my car and said the calipers have a high rust ridge. It is embarrassing when I stop and my brakes squeak when I’m driving. I never had that problem before from any of the calipers I had before I got the new ones from your dealership. I will never bring my car back there ever again and tell everyone my horrible experience and tell them not to got there either. Unprofessional and not making it right and not even attempting to to do.

Gary Eggers was absolutely outstanding as our salesman. He did everything he possibly could in order to meet our needs. He is congenial and a pleasure to work with. After having had two very disappointing interactions with other dealers it was an absolute pleasure to come to Schumacher. At Schumacher customer service is of paramount importance. That is very important to me. Also,Brian in finance did an excellent job getting me in and out. I was in a big hurry and he made certain that he accommodated me. He got me out of there at the time that I absolutely had to leave to pick my wife up from surgery. An excellent job all around. I would recommend Schumacher to anyone. And I will.

The truck on the lot fulfilled 100% of my wishlist. All of the promotions I heard about were offered. Walter Schwarz was knowledgeable and patient while I made decisions and so helpful in the transaction. This is my 7th Chevy Silverado and the 6th one through Walter. I have 2 friends I referred in the past who are driving trucks from Gearhart/Schumacher and plan to return when they are shopping again. I am thrilled with my new truck!!!

Gary Eggers was great, courteous and friendly. We purchased a pre-owned GMC Terrain for an amazing price. Everyone at the dealership was top notch and did everything they could to make this transaction easy. In the past, I have found other dealers shady, and aggressive, but Gary and the staff were quite the opposite. I have owned many Chevys over the years and bought my most recent one (a 2015 Tahoe) from Gearhart/Schumacher in Denville. I had a significant satisfaction issue related to the ride of the vehicle. Without going into the details, the entire staff mobilized to help me and went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% satisfied. Bob Juliano, Director of Sales and Marketing, personally handled my case and at every turn put my interests and concerns first. Ken Tilton, Owner/COO of the dealership even let me drive his personal vehicle (also a 2015 Tahoe) to compare the ride. The issue was not trivial and not an easy one to resolve, but they were simply outstanding and in the end got a customer for life.It's easy to deliver excellent customer service when your customers are satisfied. It's a whole other thing to handle dissatisfaction in a professional, productive way that makes your customer feel valued and important. Gearhart/Schumacher Chevrolet nailed it in my case. If you want to deal with honest, genuine guys who will treat you with respect and work their tails off to make you happy, go see Bob, Ken, and the team at Gearhart/Schumacher. If you get half the service I did, it will blow you away!!!

Bernie Fearon is the rudest most pompous xxx I have ever met. I would like to launch a formal complaint. He left me in the dark, tricked me into paying for a loaner car without telling me I would be charged until I came to pick up my vehicle after 2 weeks and says he's doing me a favor!! Unethical, mean, unsympathetic person. Could not afford Christmas gifts because of this man. Bernie. Was unwilling to speak to my insurance claims adjuster. Was rude and a wise guy, unprofessional on the phone and in person. I believe to be entitled to gas money which he made me pay for personally and not my insurance company who should pay it and money back for deliberately keeping me in the dark on the loaner which was supposed to be courtesy and then tells me I owe money for the loaner at pick up time, after 2 weeks. I will be filing a lawsuit!!

Before this dealer, I expected less Chevrolet than GMC because I used to GMC Acadia Denali. But sales person and services are overall excellent and made me think about the premium I have paid for the GMC for years. Top of it, the car, Traverse LT, I think it is much comfortable than the $12,000 more expensive Acadia. I have to say Chevrolet changed as technology improves. Sales Representative, Mr. Bravo was very friendly and guide all the after service process. It's remarkable. It is my 12th car deal in my life and was a pleasant experience.

I purchased my 2012 chevy at Gearhart so when I needed body shop repairs I returned there, even though there are other Chevy dealers closer, The work was being paid for by insurance so there was no bargaining. I was promised the car on Thursday so I went to pick it up on Friday and was told it was being painted. and would be done on Monday. Monday I showed up finding it was still not done, it was in the paint shop and would be done on Wed. Wed I showed up and it was not done. No call they let me drive down. I then went to the sales mgr to complain and he told me he would take care of it internally and said he was sorry. That was fine I was not happy but I understand that things happen and it would be corrected. I was called and told to pick it up on Friday. When I got there the body shop manager said your car is ready and walked away. No one walked me to the car to explain what was done so I left. When I got home I found tape glue and scrapes on the car. I will never recommend them again.

My first contact with he service Department was the receptionist who directed me immediately to Mr. Capone. After our usual greetings he immediately retrieved my vehicle record, reviewed with me the tasks that were required, wrote up the work order and I was on my way in minutes. He also informed me that if any latent work was required he would call me and review with me what was needed. The sales experience was excellent. Walter Schwartz is excellent. However when I took delivery of the vehicle it was not fully cleaned. The wheels were dirty and the whole car was streaked with dirt. I was very disappointed and complained to management. They offered to re-clean the car, that is the only reason I gave this high of a ranking. However, after purchasing 3 cars from this dealership and only ever buying GM vehicles, I am beginning to question my loyalty to GM. You may have lost a loyal customer.

What happened to my left front hubcap?? these are secured by plastic nuts which strip easily and should be tightened by hand. The service personel were unable to print the 27 point checklist so after about 30 mins I just left :( . A weekend caller asking about upgrading my vehicle was informed of my 08:00 am appointment and said "see you then", no one showed, later got a call "was I stopping by to talk", said that I was there till about 08:45 and was then informed "that we don't start until 09:00 am". As always my service assistant was courteous and professional.

I live in PA and work in NJ. The morning I was having car trouble I found that Gearhart was the closest Chevy dealership to my workplace. It was very early in the morning but the service dept was open and the reception desk was very supportive and helpful to my plight of the possibility of not having transportation back home that day. It turned out to be a transmission issue which equated to many labor hours, a warranty issue which was fortunate for me pricewise, but I'm aware of the amount of work and time that went into my Traverse. After the initial fix, a couple of other smaller but related issues popped up and any time my husband or I called in, Gearhart employees were respectful to us and diligent with problem solving. I am grateful for not just the quality of customer service but for the skill and knowledge of the service department technicians. It's obvious that this group of people are dedicated to customer service and their brand.

I was very pleased how helpful the sales staff was when I entered the dealership. I had been recommended to Dennis Burns by a friend who had recently purchased vehicles from him. Dennis was very friendly and helpful and stayed in close contact with me during the financing process.The finance department worked very hard to get me qualified for the lease at a monthly payment that was affordable. My one complaint was that the afternoon I thought I was coming in to discuss the financing options, I was not prepared to be picking up the car. I did not know how much money I needed to bring, consequently I did not have the money with me as I was not expecting to be finalizing the deal. I think I would have appreciated being advised of my options, which would have allowed me to be prepared with the money necessary for the down payment. It cannot be assumed that everyone has a credit card to use for the down payment. Fortunately I had someone with me who was able to do that and I left with my brand new car, which I love to drive.My family has purchased vehicles from Gearhart for more than 40 years and I would recommend Gearhart to all of my friends. Thank you for making my car shopping experience pleasurable.

Now that warranty has expired (excluding emissions which I was told by GM goes to 150,003 miles), I may not be back there because I work in the parts business (wholesale tires) and know all the independent shops by me and will get things done for less. That is not to take away all the good at Gearhart. Unlike a local dealer, I felt I got honest answers, honest work and your staff was straight forward on pricing, etc. Anyone who does own a Chevy vehicle, I would recommend your facility. I have even said that to others about Gearhart when I've seen your commercials on News 12 NJ. I basically say for all the stories we hear about people at dealerships, I can say for certain that is not what goes on at Gearhart and that's why just before 100,000 miles, I felt it was only fair to let some of the maintenance work I needed done, done by you guys, even though it would have cost me less to stay local and have an independent shop do it. Unless emissions come up, I would say it's not likely I'll be back there but I have nothing but good things to say about the way your service department runs their end of the business!! I had work done on 2 vehicles. As usual my one and only consultant Bernie and his A mechanic Paul were outstanding. Just some suggestions about the service consultant area. The acquostics are awful, it is colorless, and has no personal charm and is poorly lit. The recent renovations leave a lot to be desired. The service consultants should be in enclosed cubicles. Since they are out in the open with not much space between each consultant, it is often very hard to hear. If GM designed this, they lacked any thought or imagination for the convenience of its customers.

I would never buy a used car from this dealership again. Although we bought a car with 80,000 miles on it, we did not expect to spend at least one day per week for each of the first five weeks of ownership in their service department. We had to replace the radio and clock immediately since they stopped working between the dealership and our house. They did do this free of charge but we spent a full day waiting for them to determine the radio didn't work and then had to wait almost a full week for a new radio to arrive and spend another full day for them to install it. Next we had to replace links in the steering box. Thankfully we paid for an exte4nded service contract so we only had to pay the deductible otherwise we were told this work would not have been covered on the car that we had now owned 3 weeks. Once this was fixed we still had clicking in the steering column and had to bring it back yet again. The next thing to need replacing was the catalytic converter. Apparently they were legally obligatetd to replace this free of charge at the time but this would have otherwise cause upwards of $1,000 we were told. We brought the car back twice more for other sounds which were were told by the technicians they couldn't hear and to bring it back if we hear it again (which we still do). Today, after owning the car 7 months we yet again have to bring it in for problems with the alarm (which we didn't even know was in the car and was never provided a control for) and other electronic issues. As I said, I knew that we were buying a car in less than mint condition given the year and milage but had I known the amount of time that would be spent repairing this car i never would have purchased it. The employee who we have been speaking with has been rude on almost every visit (although to be the other service department staff seem more pleasant and we were just unlucky to have this guy) and the salesman who sold us in the car wouldn't even speak to me after the first visit to the service department. to sum it up, I would just like to reiterate that I would NEVER recommend buying a used car from this dealership.

My experience with Gearhart Chevy was great! I was in the market for a new Corvette Stingray and Andrew informed me that there was one last allocation left at Gearhart. I rushed into the dealer and was able to order my Stingray and get everything I wanted in less than 10 minutes. Then the waiting game started as I awaited delivery of my new car. Both Andrew and Dave were helpful when it came to my numerous inquiries as to the status of my vehicle's production. My car showed up in less than a month and I was able to get the vehicle trade-in process and all paperwork done pretty quickly. Was out the door and driving my new car in no time! There was a dealer installed option on the car so I ended up bringing it back for the install, at which time Gearhart gave me a rental at no charge. Both Andrew and Dave are exceptional at their jobs and I would highly recommend them both to anyone in the market for a new vehicle!

This was my first time buying a car from any dealership and this was a truly wonderful experience. Everyone was very helpful in my process to decide on my vehicle. They were patient and encouraging and answered any questions I had. It was an easy process to trade in my old vehicle for my new one; they had a lot of different payment options, as well. I called Andy back in May looking for a Camaro. He knew what I was looking for and did not want the 2014, so after a few months he found "my" car. He stayed in touch, sent me pics and messages when he thought something was close, and stayed on it until he got me into my dream car! I had a Monte Carlo 2001 for 10 years, the longest I have ever had a car in my life. I loved her but she was tired and it was time for me to get something new. The Monte is no longer available so I just had to get the Camaro! I wanted a Camaro since I was 17 years old, the time had come in my life when it was time to do something for myself and buying the car I wanted was going to be it! I decided that because of the kindness they showed and the conversation that I had on the phone this is where I was going to buy. Which I did and could not be happier, it's like I am part of a Chevy family. It was nice to meet a really nice person that Walt is and he took care of our lease and helped us to purchase a Traverse. We ,my wife and I, fell in love with the Traverse and found it to be a smooth riding and just a great car. In 2011 I lost my wife and I now had a Traverse and a 2006 Dodge Dakota. Finally I decided to go to one vehicle. I called Walt up and he took my two vehicles in and showed me a very well equipped Silverado in a color I liked . My son has had some issues with his 2007 Impala ss since we bought the car back in september of 2012 but the service department has gone above and beyond what most dealerships would have done and the issues were due to some part failures and they have warrantied everything Mary Keller and as well as other service advisors there at gearhart are by far excellant plus the dealership has just had a makeover looks great and being its nicer weather hotdogs and hambers coming on saturday 11:30am stop by get a hamber hotdog xx out the new and used cars once you buy one your part of the family and get free car wash for life...Cannot beat this dealership the best in morris county..

I wanted a stress-free experience because my wife dislikes pushy salespeople. I let Damon know that and he asssured me that it would be excellent, and it was. The car itself is wonderful, and Andy and Walt were super friendly. This place has a great vibe going on, and I highly recommend it as a purchase destination. Overall experience was great until I sat with the finance person. He tried way too hard to get me to purchase the extended warranties. Which I insisted I did not want and DID not purchase. The two sales persons, Andrew and David were very friendly and upfront. My only other issue was that my salesperson was at times busy doing other things while trying to serve me. Can't do two things at the same time.

Was told that deal was done and they had me come down to pick up car and when I got there they went on to say that they needed more information and could not make the deal final. I had communicated with a multitude of Chevy dealers across several counties before deciding on purchasing a 2013 Chevy Cruze at Gearhart. It simply "felt right". Andrew and Tracy set the groundwork via email communication and were prompt in responding to my plethora of questions. Lou Bravo, my salesperson, was courteous and helpful, despite the fact I arrived at the dealership after 5pm on a Saturday unaware the dealership closed at 6pm. Our meeting lasted after closing hours. Lou's professionalism, as well as General Manager, John Sautter's, remained friendly and welcoming. I feel they were accommodating and fair on several levels during the purchase process, and am comfortable recommending Gearhart to friends and family for their future vehicle purchase needs.

to start off with i would like to tell you that i bought my first car at gearhart checrolet in 1971..since then i have bought or leasedchevy station wagons. impalas. chevelle,and my last 5 cars have been malibus..so iam part of the chevrolet and gearhart family[ minus my mistake in the mid 80s i tried another manufactor] wont tell you who but iam back with chevy and gearhart] my latest malibu 2011 was in for service on february 6.,2013,,had problem with check engine light and the air check valve was stuck..made a call to the service dept that morning,,was told to bring in the car that afternoon and they would take a look and see what the problem was..i brought the car in that afternoon,,the service deptment told me they had to order the part and it would be in the next day..they gave me a rental car that afternoonthey also called me the following day and told me they replaced the part but it was not up to gearharts standard and they would like to keep the car another day to check out the problem..and asked me in it was a inconviance to me if i kept the rental car another day..i told them that would be ok with me..the next day as promised bernie fearon called and told me everything was checked out and my car was ready to pickup.i went to gearhart that afternoon with the idea that i would have to pay for something but i was told all repairs where covered including the car rental,,i do have a exsteded warranty but i was prepared to pay..in this day and age when the slogan ' buyer beware' is used a lot , it was so good to work with people from gearhart,,who do care and do the right thing, i want to thank bernie fearon , mary keller, joe and gary in the service dept for all there help over the years and even though i dont no the names of the mechanics they all are top flight people.i just want to take this opertunity to thank all the people at gearhart for a job well done.. ihave been with the gearhart family since the 1970s and will countinue to do buisness with them in the future. i also would highly recommend them to my friends..once again i normally dont take the time to write reviews but.......i just want to say THANK YOU TO ALL GEARHART EMPLOYES.. and keep up the good workthomas mcdonald butler nj

Got a 2007 Impala SS for my son back in september 2012 since then car has been great but had an issue with the power steering leaking called mary keller brought it right down ordered a part next day all set under warranty no issues Rob one of the mechanics took care of it. Currently in gearhart for oil leak needed oil pan gasket dropped oil pan and Andrew the mechanic found some pieces from the timing chain tensioner Mary Keller called me said they needed more time would you need a loaner car came down at 2:30 got keys to loaner and down the road i go..The gearhart team are great most of them have been there a long time and the owner Judy Tilton and her sons Kenny, Steven, always insure their clients are happy....So if you ever in need of service on your car be sure to give gearhart a call....Thank You :)

The Staff at Gearhart Chevrolet made the painstaking task of buying a new car stress free. After deciding we were going to purchase a Chevy Traverse I primarily dealt with John over the phone. He did a great job locating the vehicle that we wanted. After agreeing on a price I finally traveled (approx. 30 miles) to Gearhart for the one and only time during the whole process. Dennis did an excellent job detailing and explaining everything I needed to know about the Traverse, Marc made the paperwork a breeze and I was driving home in a new 2013 Chevy Traverse after a minimal stay at the dealership. At about 40,000 miles my 2009 Chevy Silverado's transmission went. Luckily it was under warranty so I brought it back to Gearhart Chevy. I informed Gary in the service department that I would need a rental TRUCK as that is what I use for work. Instead, I got a car, a Chevy Cruze. He told me they could not get me a truck. I did however get a GMC Canyon a week or so later since I was so persistent about it with phone calls...still not a full size truck, but whatever. I called a few times checking up on my truck's progress. I was told many times "oh it should be done by this day" but never was. I waited 2 weeks for my truck to get repaired. I did not get a phone call back to say my truck was finished, I called Gary and he just said "Oh yeah, it's all ready". I told Gary I would be there around 3pm and when I showed up I had to wait almost an hour to be written up and on my way. I do have to say that I also got an oil change at this same time which I inquired if it would be free since I waited so long, Gary did make that happen, that was probably the only positive from my experience...but I still had to ask for it as that was not offered to me. After having the truck back for over a week, the transmission is now leaking all over my driveway. I just called Gary today to let him know of this and he told me to bring it right in. I told him that I will no longer be bringing my truck back to Gearhart Chevrolet for repairs since they obviously do not know how to transmission work and who knows what else would go wrong. Overall, terrible experience...I really wish I never bought this truck from Gearhart Chevrolet. I guess live and learn.

Doug Belfondo was a pleasure to work with. He was friendly, helpful and made me feel like "one of the guys".He did not force anything on me. Hi, the only minor issue, was that I had some heated seats installed after delivery. When I picked the car up after the heated seats were installed, I noticed that there were shavings left on the floor under both the driver and front passenger's seats. I guess no one vaccuumed up the shavings after the heated seats were put in.

Although I had purchased a used Jaguar from Gearhart in 1964, I had no need to buy a new vehicle from them since then as my travels never brought me past their door. Since my current car expired on Christmas morning I was literally pushed into a position of buying a replacement. Looking on the web I had a number of quotes come into my mailbox and it was Andy Garcia who persevered and convinced me to come to Gearhart. Once I arrived it was Walter Schwarz and Damon Velasquez who took over the paperwork and delivery process. Both gentlemen were a pleasure to deal with and made the entire process very easy for me. This I might add was performed as furniture was being removed from the facility in preparation for the new building construction. My Equinox in fact was the last vehicle to be delivered from the old building. Coming from a Beemer to a Chevy gave me pause, but I am delighted with my new high tech Chevy and would recommend Gearhart to anyone.

Our family is expanding and we needed a car with a third row seat. Even though we still had 6 months on our current Chevy lease they were able to come up with a buy back of our current lease and put us in a larger SUV with payments in the same price range. I started out just simply looking at the preowned Silverados that Gearhart had to offer on their website. I put in a request for information and was contacted right away via email by Mrs. Tracy O'Neill. I wasn't certain that the right deal could be done for me. Mrs. O'Neill was able to convince in a total non pressure way to come to the dealership to see what they could do for me. Mrs. O'Neill told me when I asked that Mr. Gary Eggers was still with Gearhart. I had purchased a couple of Chevrolet vehicles from Mr. Eggers at Gearhart in the past. I was naturally happy to know that Mr. Eggers was still with Gearhart. Anytime I walk into the showroom at Gearhart Chevrolet, everyone that works there is always very friendly and always willing to try to help with a question that I might have, or to put me in contact with Mr. Eggers. I needed to have some important stickers removed from the truck that I was trading in, and was very pleased with the effort that was made by the employees of Gearhart to keep those stickers in tact as much as possible! I really believe that everyone that was involved with my purchase of the 2012 Silverado, did the absolute best that they could to make the sale happen in a way that made me happy and satisfied with the purchase. I would certainly recommend anyone that I know who would be considering the purchase of a Chevrolet to go to Gearhart!

Having two little kids and another one on the way, it was time for a new vehicle. I researched new cars for at least a month and decided on a brand new Chevy Tahoe. We had been looking for a Chevy Malibu with low mileage at quite a few dealerships in the Central/Northern Jersey area. Our first stop in at Gearheart resulted in finding the car we bought the same day! Was it a Malibu, no, but a Chevy Cruze, which we learned from our salesman, Doug Belfondo, was a smarter buy because, though similar to a Malibu, it had a more updated design and a sportier feel. No other dealership educated us on the Cruze. There was very low pressure and we were given as much time and space as we needed to make our own decision. They were very easy to work with on the price, negotiations took very liitle time. We felt they were very accomodating. We would definitely recommend Gearhart Chevrolet.

I was given very good advise from Gary in the service dept as to why i should trade my 07 impala LT for an 07 impala LTZ,,and if it were not for Walter I would have left the dealer ship with the car I was having serviced instead of the new one,And I am a repeat customer I bought my first Impala from Walter 3 yrs ago. Great experience from the switchboard girl to the final purchase. After a bad experience with another dealer this was a much welcome change. Dennis Burns even came in while on vacation to deliver another car and sell me the one I bought. Love the lifetime free car wash and each and every person I spoke to was very helpful and genuinely nice. Will sing your phrases to all. You had to search for the car I wanted and you kept me appraised all the while. Gary Tursi called and let me know the satus as the search went on. Marc Weber with knee wrapped up in ice after knee surgury was awesome in explaining the whole process and a game player with coming to work shortly after surgury. My wife and I went into Gearhart with the purpose of finding an SUV of her liking as it was the gift I promised her for her 50th birthday instead of a lavish party which she did not want. Lou Bravo was very helpful and explained everything in appropriate detail. This included the differences in models and options. The same thing was done in the Financing Department - the various options were provided and explained. Very open - no pressure. This is the seventh car I have purchased from Gearhart Chevrolet. Except for the 87 Cavalier and 93 S10 (which I still own), I have purchased the other 5 cars from Gary Eggers. He is very helpful and very pleasant to work with. There are 3 main reasons I purchase from Gearhart: 1) Gary does not pressure you into buying a car, patiently explaining the options and letting the customer purchase what he actually needs, 2) the pricing is very competitive with other dealerships and 3) the service department fixes any problems the first time and stands behind their work. Damon was very helpful in handling the paperwork during closing and faxed requested information to my insurance company. Gary explained the intracacies in detail of the Malibu upon delivery and helped me set up OnStar. On the service side, I have delt with Bernie Fallon since an engine problem occurred with my 87 Cavalier and find him very helpful and pleasant to deal with. He goes out of his way to get information pertaining to my cars that I can't find elsewhere and explains service issues in detail. I highly recommend the 3 individuals listed in this review.

From the time I first walked in to Gearhart Chevy I was greeted well and they were always friendly. Walter Schwarz is the salesman I used and he was extremely pleasant and knowledgable regarding any questions I had. They always made me feel that my business was appreciated and went to great lengths to obtain a loan for me to purchase a new car. I know that with most dealerships, once they know you've had credit problems they become not interested in working with you. They were able to get me a new car loan at a rate where I did not feel that I was being taken adavantage of. In fact, it was actually quite reasonable considering my situation. Thanks to Marc Weber on that. They were able to locate exactly the car my wife wanted and delivered it in excellent condition. The car itself drives extremely well and we are very happy with it. Walter was an excellent salesman and is a great representative of the dealership. The first person you meet when you go into any business is the person who reflects on your total impression of the business, Walter did a great job.

DO NOT go to this dealer! Their service department told us we needed a certain part and work on the car and we spent over $1000 getting the part and the labor, and we still had the same issues. They would not admit their mistake. TERRIBLE customer service. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. They are so nice when you're purchasing a car, then when you bring it in for service they tell you that you need work and parts that you don't even need. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE.

Bernie in service has been the best to work with and has always been able to answer our questions especially regarding car history.We just purchased a 2012 Equinox. Brian Tota was our salesperson. First, Gary was instrumental in turning me into a Chevy customer. When my Saturn Vue had a problem, he found the solution. And, he was honest and forthcoming about my options. After that, I always took my car there for service. When my son told me he wanted to buy me a new car (my Vue had over 160,000 miles on it), I immediately went to Gearhart. Dennis was very knowledgeable about the Chevy products and he was able to help me pick out the perfect car for my lifestyle and job requirements. He also helped me work out the details re: financing in a dollar amount that I could put into my limited budget. Most importantly, he was able to get me a Spark in the color I wanted -- titanium pink! Awesome!I have had my Spark for a week and LOVE it! It handles extremely well in bad weather, is easy to handle and I am averaging 37 mpg (which is incredible when you realize how much traffic I get caught in on a daily basis).Gearhart Chevy Rocks!

Took my 94 Camaro to the body shop not to long ago and I was very impressed with the work they did, I was highly recommended to this body shop by my insurance provider. I was also told upon arrival that this body shop does take all major insurance companies for my convience. The damage on my vehicle was pretty bad, I thought I would have to replace my hood, side panels, and front bumper but their work was So surprising that they were able to save most of the panels repair them and save me some money in the mean time! Wanted to thank the team at Gearhart for there great work and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs work done on there vehicle!Thanks Again Gearhart Chevy!

My husband and I had some very bad experiences previously when buying a car. After I had a 2012 Malibu as a rental car I fell in love with the car. The car was exactly what I was looking for. It was comfortable, which is very important to me with a bad back, the driver seat is electrically adjustable, the car looks nice and solid, great mileage, has On Star and Sirius XM.So I asked around at my job if anybody can recommend a good Chevyu dealership because I needed to buy a car. 4 people had previously bought cars from Gearhardt and told me thats the dealership to go to. So still suspicious we went there on a Saturday around noon time to see if they have a car we liked. As soona as we approached the dealership Lou Bravo gretted us and asked if he could help us. We explained to him that we were looking for a slightly used car and it had to be a Malibu. He should us three different cars and we very fast picked our car. We did a test drive, and then it was on to the most threated part the paperwork and financing. So we went out to have something to eat and when we came back there was Mark already waiting for us with the approval. We were extremely suprised how fast it went and about the excellent rate he got us. Signing the paperwork was a fun hour. Lou was a very experienced and professional salesman and I would recommend him to anybody. However, Mark was the pleasure part of the whole experience. He is extremely knowledgable, professional but also fun to be with and get through a kind of boring hour - who wants to sign papers for an hour.A week after I bought the car I had a problem with the car - it was hestiating. They gave me an appointment fixd the problem for free and take care of some other small things, like the second remote was not working, the car manual was from the previous year, the car fax needed to be fixed. Everything was taken care of professionally and quickly. I was very pleased with the service.However, there is one thing which has nothing to do with the dealership but with Chevy. I was quite upset when the next morning I went into the car and found out that the passenger headlight was out. So my husband went and bought a headlight intending to change it this weekend. What a surprise to find out that we are talking about a major job to change a headlight. You actually have to take the bumper down and all kind of other stuff - a job that easily would cost about $300.00. With daylight running lights that it ridicolous. Why would you make a maintenance item so difficult to change. I have never seen something like that and I must say that did sour me on the car quite a bit. I still love to drive my Chevy but I feel sorry for my husband who has to spent 3 - 4 hours in the garage on the weekend to change one simple light bulb. Shame on you Chevy that you are trying to milk the customers like that.Just to reiterate, this of course is no reflection on the dealership which is excellent. We will go back to buy another car from them in the future - just research the car a bit more. I was not aware you have to check like changing a light bulb. Well one never stops learning.Thanks Lou and Mark - you won a new customer and restord our faith in car dealerships.

July, 2012To the Gearhart Group- My husband, Anthony and I were extremely satisfied with this overall experience from the first phone convo with Andy Garcia to the final paperwork with Marc Weber. Upon our first call to Gearhart i spoke with Mr. Garcia who was very friendly and eager to help and direct us through the very first steps of the process and recommend and direct us to the appropriate people. He also followed up with an e-mail and a phone call to us while we were in between solidifying the appropriate channels to begin the process. After having additional phone conversations with Ken and Judy Tilton, they quickly previewed one of their cars in their inventory for us based on our needs, financial budget and aesthetic taste, pulled it from their lot, had it cleaned up and waiting for us in the front of their dealership before we even got there. In addition, Mr. Burns showed us other vehicles as not to rule out other possible options while considering our purchase. We eventually decided on the pre-owned 2012 black LT Surburban that was initially considered for us...after out test drive and after seeing all the wonderful interior features we were sold!! The approval stage and trade process of our vehicle went very smoothly and since it was processed so efficiently and quickly we were able to wait at the dealership rather than go home and return, therefore allowing us to drive off the lot that afternoon with our new purchase. Mr.Ken Tilton who is energetic and very approachable, was also very pro-active and showed a genuine interest in our purchase, and although the showroom was bustling with many customers in which he also showed interest in, as well as being busy with other tasks, he still took time to ask us questions about our needs, gave us good and honest advice about how to go about the purchasing process and what would be in our best interest. He clearly shows a very personable and professional desire to be involved with ALL aspects of being a dealership owner/executive other than just sitting in an office. His presence on the showroom floor was humbling and appreciated. We could not of been happier with Mr. Dennis Burns and his area of expertise when it comes to knowing literally "everything" there is to know about the product he is selling and the time he took in sitting in our "new" car and describing everything that we needed to know in how to operate, maintain and run our vehicle. He is truly a walking- talking owners vehicle "Manual" when it comes to his quick-thinking knowledge of the "how to's" and the "why's" of the working parts of the product he is selling. We observed first hand that he not only knows this product inside and out, but he truly believes and stands behind the safety and name of this "American" made product!! Mr. Weber was also extremely helpful and works at lightning speed to make the final "paper work" process painless and completely understandable and he is clearly another professional aspect of the Gearhart establishment. Friendliness and personable employees are in obvious abundance at this business!After finalizing the purchase, another quick detailed wash of our car was made, a full tank of gas was given and FREE oil changes AND car washes for the life of the car...yes FREE... was reiterated to us again as a reminder by Ken and Judy Tilton. If that alone doesn't make someone want to purchase a vehicle here i don't know what is !! The family feeling one gets is very real and comforting and i say that even more so after being walked to our vehicle by the Tilton's as they were discussing their own grandchildren, children and the family vacations they all take in their very own Chevrolet vehicles that were also parked in the lot !!Our overall opinion is that this is a warm "family" friendly atmosphere and everyone does their part to ensure a smooth running, successful business. I found a used car on AutoTrader that my son wanted to buy so I contacted the dealership and spoke to David. Having bought over a dozen cars so far, I prefer an easy and painless process where either we can strike a fair price for both parties or walk away.David listened to me and said that if he couldn't meet my price he wouldn't waste my time. The price was met and I agreed to come in and pick up the car the following day.David greeted me with the car ready to do and paperwork to fill out. However, I'd not told him that I was using a bank draft check and the Business Manager explained that the dealership doesn't use them because of the float involved. At first I thought this was the finance scam, but told David and the Business Manager that if they could provide the same APR and terms or better, I'd close then.Funny thing is, the Business Manager came back with the same terms from the same bank but at .4 below what I had already been approved with.So, frictionless transaction at the price I wanted and with terms better than I walked in with.A Happy Customer

Have had pickups both from Nissan & Toyota in the past. Nissan dealers will try to nogiate with you. Toyota dealers play hard ball with pricing. Test drove both the Nissan Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma & I test drove several times the Chevrolet Colorado and bought it with no regrets. The folks at Gearhart Chevrolet were great & did not try to close me on the spot as the Toyota folks did. I got a great price along with a great ride from the Gearhart Chevrolet folks and do not have any regrets

Paul is a gentleman salesman but it's the Sonic LTZ that I really like. Gearhart has true family feeling to it. Everyone is really nice and they care about the customers because they take pride in the business. Gearhart is the type of place that makes you say....I wish the people I worked with were this nice. I have been going to Gearhart's for 30 years this past week I had a repair done on my Equinox truck and it was done in a half day. I stopped over the week before, within a half hour they figured out the correct part number. I then returned the following week I dropped off the truck the night before, they had gotten the proper part, and by noon the next day my repair was finished, and they promtly called me. The entire thing went very smooth. Thanks to Gary Capone & the Gearhart Team.

I have had 2 very disappointing issues with price. The first is that we had a door part quoted at over $535.00 and ended up going elsewhere for $70. The other instance was a remote key. They took the remote somewhere and came back saying it tested the device was bad. The quote to get a new one was over $125.00. I ended up putting a $3.97battery in as a chance and it works perfectly. Very disappointing when you have dealt with them for over several years.

I used the GM website to locate a 2011 Silverado with the exact features I wanted. They found the exact truck at Gearhart, a dealer 100 miles from my home. In the meantime, I spoke with several other local dealers and got all sorts of pricing. Things got more complicated because I had both a GM discount, and another buyer program to work with. Keitha P. responded literally immediately and Dave Rose followed up within an hour. He was responsive, attentive, and best of all, very knowledgeable about the GM inncentive programs I was eligible for. He asked me to spell my last name, confirm my address, and he was immediately able to add an additional $1500 loyalty cash incentive. By the way, none of the other dealers I spoke with revealed the incentive. They had exactly the same info Mr. Rose did, and either gave back none of it, or offered me an additional "special discount" less than the incentive. It was very clear to me that Dave Rose was actually interested in helping me, and i gave him a refundable deposit to hold the truck. I drove the 100 miles the following Monday, got a very fair trade, absolutely no surprises, and drove back 100 miles with my new truck. I would be remiss not to mention how easy it was to work the final paperwork with Dammon V in the finance department. Again, absolutely no surprises and a genuine desire to make sure it was a pleasant experience. All in all, well worth the 200 miles round trip.

We stopped in on a Monday afternoon. Bob Barran warmly greeted us as we walked through the showroom. When we asked Bob if we could test drive a 2012 Camaro, he got our particulars on what options we wanted in the car. Within minutes, he had picked an available car from the lot that closely matched our "wish list" and we were off for a drive on both highway and Interstate. As Bob sat in the back seat, he explained all the features. I drove while my husband sat in the passenger seat. All the details worked so smoothly that by Wednesday we picked up the "loaded 2012 Camaro" car! I would highly recommend the Gearhart dealership and Bob Barran, the salesman to anyone interested in buying a Camaro. He was friendly and comfortable to work with and even called me the next morning to see if I liked my "new ride". (nice touch) :)

When we first arrived we were greeted by Donna Mokis who had contacted me on my cellphone after I put in a request for a Chevrolet dealer to call me. She immediately put us onto Lou Bravo who managed to give us a great deal on our trade in AND made all the arrangements to have running boards and a tow hitch put on our new vehicle. Anytime we went there, we were treated with respect and they quickly took care of anything we requested. I don't remember Mary's last name but she works in Service and when I went to see her about getting the running boards put on and the tow hitch, I could not have asked for a more friendly person or a more knowledgeable person. I accidently left an article in my trade in vehicle and I asked her if it were possible to retrieve it for me. When I came in to get my Chevrolet Traverse, the item was in the car for me. This dealership had just gone through a terrible flood from Irene but you wouldn't know it. They had their act all together and they answered all our questions, showed all the vehicles we asked for and after going through all the flooding that they had they managed to pull off a great deal for us. We were very impressed and I will be bringing my vehicle up to them in the future for all servicing needs. I will and have already recommended this dealership to my friends. The second car was a used vehicle and required a minor repair that was not covered under our warranty. Gearhart fixed it anyway.We have sinced referred several friends and each of them have had a good experience.

I simply inquired about a detail on an internet add, and within a half hour I was contacted by a most friendly Rep. I ended up driving 90 miles one way to make a purchase of a very nice and MOST competitively priced late model used vehicle. I checked all over the internet with a radius of about 100 miles and the vehicle I found at Gearhart that was presented to me over the phone (initially) so very nicely, was the very best deal for that quality and type vehicle that I could find. My overall Rating: A++++

I recently took my Saturn SC2 in to Gearhart for repair, the vehicle was stalling out. Bernie Fearon informed me the battery is dead and needs to be replaced with an estimated cost of $172.50 to replace the battery and labor to put it in. Bernie told me he tried to charge the battery, but the battery will not take a charge. Bernie also told me he would try and find the battery for less then the $120 quote he gave me. After two days of searching, Bernie informed me he could not find the battery anywhere for less then $120. I told Bernie not to replace the battery, I know the battery in the vehicle is less then 2 years old and a battery for this car cost $60 at AutoZone and PepBoys. I picked up my car brought it home and put the battery on a charger for 6 hours, and the battery has been fine since. The vehicle starts every time, there is no way Bernie could have tried to charge this battery. I was billed $116.20 by Gearhart to fix nothing on my car. This is the worst service experience I have ever had with a dealership. I feel I should not have been charged for this service, nothing was done to my car at all.

Came in for regular service after being recommended by a friend who buys all of their cars from Gearhart. The car is a 1995 Cavalier I use for commuting. It has over 140,000 miles and it is getting tired. I came in for an oil change and to check why the AC went warm. Not living nearby, I realized I had to plan the day so that if I had to leave the car for an extended period, I would be able to get a ride. I was surprised when I arrived that they had WiFi (which I realized would allow me to catch up on email and work while I waited). Mary sat me down, wrote me up and said it would be about 20 minutes before anyone could look at the car. They didn't have a cafeteria but what dealership does!Within 15 minutes they had the can in the shop. A little while later they asked me to come out to see what they were doing. They had put a dye in the AC system to find the leak and the compressor housing was leaking the dye. Apparently from age it had cracked. Luckly, they had a rebuilt compressor in stock that would fit the car. In less than two hours, not only had they changed the oil and replaced the AC compressor, they also checked the car, rotated the tires, and fixed a chip in the windshield. ALL FOR UNDER $500!My AC is ICE cold, I'm smiling as I write this, and I am buying my next car there. Great place and nice people.

I used to have my Car repaired by this Dealership back in 2006. I stopped using them because they are too expensive and the sales reps always enjoy tacking on additional repairs that they try to convince you need.Today Aug 25th 2010, I brought my car over because I failed emissions and most of the auto repair shops in this area are not authorized to repair emissions in NJ. So this Dealer is the only one that can repair my car. Unfortunately they also provide lousy service.I dropped the car off at 9am and they did not call me back with an estimate until after 1pm. He told me the emissions repair would be around $300 plus he suggested I get a new air filter, spark plugs and spark plug wires. He wanted me to pay around $900!!!!!! I know I can get an new air filter, spark plugs and spark plugs wire at any service center. I only authorized the emissions repair. It is after 4:30 pm now and I am still waiting for them to call me back on my car!!!!!

Awful service experience. After 4 visits over five months, Gearhart was unable to resolve a seemingly simple coolant issue. Made my car worse than it was to start with. They tried to tell me that the car was running worse after their repairs because I was low on gas! Even I know that being low on gas doesn't make the check engine light come on, and the engine to buck like a bronco.Also, the service department couldn't even properly install windshield wipers on my car; they fell off after they installed them and I had to go back to get them fixed!While waiting for service, I noticed several other customers coming in, steaming for one reason or another why they had to bring their car back for repeat service visits.Service department was very untimely in making return phone calls or providing status updates. It seemed like they would use any excuse to delay or not work on my vehicle. They were also unwilling to assist in warranty claims or arranging alternate transportation. They also attempted to bill me $150 for diagnostic work related to the coolant issue that they could not resolve, which I was only able to recover after threatening to file a dispute with my credit card company.Despite a huge sign outside the dealership stating "FREE LOANERS", they do not provide loaners to customers unless you purchased a vehicle from them, and it is below a certain mileage. Also, their ability to service Saturn vehicles, despite a huge "WELCOME SATURN CUSTOMERS" sign, is limited at best.

Im at the local Chevy dealer to resolve my vehicle's recently developed Warranteed issue. The dealer calls to inform me the issue is covered are under the 5 year power train warranty. However, the brake pads are low, and they didnt feel comfortable fixing the car and returning it with the old pads. The problem is that I went to my regular lube/brake/tire guy last month for an oil change and tire rotation. At that point if the brakes were low, they would have mentioned it. So I believe that the brakes were more like 70% - 80% worn out, but they were going to make me pay for something and with 38k miles they thought Id buy the need new brakes line. Since I am not there, and cant ask to be shown the wear of the brakes I have no choice but to let them do it. More drama late in the afternoon I got a call from the dealer telling me that after a road test the rotors on my truck were warped and they suggested I purchase new ones. Why are the rotors warped after they just cut them you ask? He stated that they had to cut them below the manufacturer recommended thickness, and while performing a test drive the tech noticed a vibration in the brakes. Guess what They dont have my rotors in stock and I have to leave the car there overnight. They were kind enough to offer me a loaner vehicle, if I could get to the Enterprise rental place by 6:00. They called me at 5:17, which gave me less than 45 minutes to get from my desk at work to the Enterprise rental outlet (20 miles away) in RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC!!! This is simply unacceptable, and I think the dealer is hell bent on trying to separate you from your money for everything they can. I applaud them for the well choreographed script that they followed, its virtually guaranteed to net the service department a profitable $400 brake job out of a free warranty service call. Im never going here again, and Im never buying another GM product!!!

I took my car in to fix a factory defect. Rather than fixing it properly, which would have taken 3 hours of labor under warranty, they proceeded to use a cheap resin to do the job. Resulting in me having to have the part broken off and replaced, with no compensation. They do crappy repairs here. Dont go here.

They also claim to be a body shop for BMW dealership across the street. The job quality is terrible - fender and hood misaligned, forgot to put a fender gasket back, left scratches intact. Required two additional visits and still not perfect. Most outrageous thing - while in their posession, some bum reclined seats, reajusted all settings - climate control, radio, burned 1/4 of a gas tank. and returned the car in this condition. Absolutely unprofessional and untrained personnell - do not trust them even your Yugo. BMW must be crazy to have them on their dealers list.
