All that old patter about high pressure sales guys is pure b.s....UNLESS you go Schumacher Subaru Delray Beach...and see Pete Altman. I'm an ex city dweller (as in NYC) so what do I know about cars? Not a lot. So when I needed to lease a new Subaru, I went to the go-to guy for anything Subaru, Pete Altman. He knows Subaru inside out. Pete is not only one helluva nice guy, very funny and very much himself, but also highly knowledgeable. Pete will tell you what's best for you...always. I can't believe in today's day and age that you would be sent to a general voice mailbox when you call a dealership but that's what happens with Schumaker. I tried to reach someone in service 9 times to talk to a person about my new car that needs service but in the end I had to send my son with the car to see if we can even get in for an appointment. I wouldn't buy another car from them just based on the ability to get the car serviced it's a shame when one part of the organization hurts the whole

This was my first dealing with Subaru. The marketing people are geniuses using those golden retriever dogs and puppies in their commercials. They just make you smile when you see them. We joked about buying a Subaru because of the dogs... We went to see what they had and immediately met some of the nicest salespeople around. They too made us smile! They work together as a team but in a very gentle way. NO HIGH PRESSURE. They listened and were patient with the test drives, questions, and affordability. Within 24 hours I was sold and am now driving a 2016 Crosstrek. It's perfect for our new puppy (not a golden but just as sweet...) The height of the vehicle will make it easy for me to transport my paddle board and kayak easily. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Great Job!

Our Outback was under warranty when the battery went out right before a trip we had to make to NC to have the car inspected. The dealership gave us a loaner for the rest of the day and told us if they didn't get a battery in the next day, they would put a loaner battery in the car so we could make our trip. The battery came in and we were able to make our appointment. we work out of the country and keep the car in FL so it was imperative we get this taken care of. The service department listened to our needs, was accommodating and provided us with excellent service. Thank you all so much. We love our Outback!

We went to this dealership two times before we actually leased our 2016 Forester. On both occasions the experience was NOT painful. The sales person we met with, Corey, was knowledgeable, friendly and did not pressure us to buy the car that day. After our visit to Subaru we checked out several other SUV's and decided we liked the Forester. I went on to True car and received prices from 3 dealers,. Schumacher was close, but not the best. I went back to Schumacher because they were the closest dealer to me and I liked our previous experience. Met with Corey, showed him the prices from other dealers and he was able to meet them. The car was delivered when we wanted it and after the purchase Schumacher has followed up to see if we had any problems. We have not, love the car and would use Schumacher in the future

I traveled 60 miles from Miramar, Florida to Schumacher Subaru in West Palm Beach to get my brand new Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited. I skipped Pembroke Pines Subaru due to poor customer service. Excellent overall experience, the sales associate TONY BERMUDEZ was very knowledgeable and courteous making the process very smooth, I will definitely buy my next car from this dealership and look for Mr. Bermudez.

While traveling for work I experienced issues with my car. Without having an appointment, the staff at Schumachers service department gladly took a look at my vehicle. They were able to determine the issue and cleared my car to drive back home to complete the service there as the parts needed were three days away. Although they knew I would not complete the work at their dealer, they never stopped being polite and were always looking for my best (and my cars) best interest.Thanks so much!

Went in for our first 6000 mile check-up scheduled through the initial salesman. Some confusion at first. No one was expecting us. Once the service department took charge, things went smoothly - including answers to questions we had that were answered clearly and authoritatively by the service technician (e.g., how to change the clock, how to use the GPS, etc.). Next time, we'll schedule appointments through the service department experts. :-))

Due to an unforeseen problem with my old car, I needed a new one ASAP in order for me to get to work on time. First time I ever had fun buying my car. It was the best experience ever! We even brought in our 2 dogs who were welcomed inside. That's what made us buy at Schmacher Subaru. Thanks to Russell Bardack the salesman who took his time finding the right car for us. Who even bought lunch while the deal was going thru. This was the only time it was worth buying a car. From the new seats in the waiting area to the fact that I changed my Service Appointment 3 times, they were still able to get me in, service the car, detail it inside and out, while I was in the waiting area, working on the computer and even catch a few minutes of news on the large screen TV. On top of it all, my new Forester is doing a fantastic 32.4 MPG, all around average mileage, it was a good day at the Dealership ...

I first picked Schumacher because I heard about the great customer service. After visiting ( more than 5 visits now) they consistently replicate the great customer service they are famous for. From the clean waiting area to the assertive staff members, you are just about guaranteed to have a positive experience. The great thing is that none of it seems scripted, the people are genuinely nice and care about the customers. 5 stars, easily!

Schedule an appointment for a warranty headliner repair. The first time the headliner was stained and out of place. Second headliner also stained and dirty with cracked overhead handles an mangled plastic covers. Third headliner was installed at an outside trim shop an my vehicle was full of pet hair, a broken visor clip and not centered properly. Last visit the manager expressed that they will no longer try to fix( their poor quality replacement) and I have to contact Subaru. Not as their website states, definitely do not value their customers or are their top priority. Find a better dealer for your service.

I had to argue to get credit for my down payment of $4,000. The car was delivered with no manual. When I went back to get it, it was used - label had been peeled off. No promises were kept, no phone calls, no e-mails, no FAXES. I now have about $900 charged on my Sales Agreement that was not delivered. I have no plates for the car in the state of registration, although it has been six weeks since I bought the car.

I feel that the people in the Schumacher dealership are honest and real people. They try to please you as best as they can, and are willing to explain things that you don't understand without an attitude. I like that they don't speak disrespedtfully about other car manufacturers like some car dealerships do.

I recently purchased a 2015 Subaru Forester. My sales Consultant was Tony Bermudez. This was my best car buying experience to date. I have purchased many new and used cars and I can easily say this was by far the easiest car buying experience. Tony did not try and sell me the car he wanted me to purchase. He informed me only about the cars My wife and I wanted to purchase. We went to the dealer planning on buying a used 2012 Impreza, but after test driving the 2012 Impreza, we wanted to compare it to the 2015 model. We also test drove the Crosstreck and finally the Forester. After recently being in an accident, I really liked the size of the Forester and fell in love with the Eyesight and its added safety. After over 5 hours of looking and test driving and going over the numbers on all the different cars, We ended up picking the Forester. The car is great and the safety features are even top of the line. Tony took so much time answering all of our questions (probably 2 or 3 time) and making sure we were satisfied and understood the information we were receiving. I can say, I almost felt obligated to purchase a car from this guy. His patience, understanding of our money issues, and desire to get us into the car we wanted was such a unexpected pleasure. If all car sales consultants took a que from him, car buying would be much more pleasant. I can only hope in 15 years or 250k miles when I need a new Subaru. I hope Tony is still in the car sales business. The Manager who put the final touches on the sale was also great. Unfortunately I did not get his name. Same goes for the finance manager who offered me everything but did not force anything which was also pleasant. I will definitely recommend Schumacher Subaru to anyone and if you are lucky enough to get Tony Bermudez as your sales consultant, consider yourself lucky and know you are in great Hands. My mom who lives in orlando will be looking into purchasing a Subaru from this dealer based on the experience I received. Thanks Schumacher and Tony for such a great experience. We will definitely be back.

Brought my 2014 Outback, (purchased in NJ), for routine service and was extremely pleased. Even though I was a bit early for my appointment I was greeted immediately by Taylor who explained the process and inspected the car. I pointed out some cosmetic damage and he told me he might be able to correct it. Taylor was very polite and accommodating to my bad hearing problem. When my service was completed I was pleasantly surprised that the appearance problem was almost invisible. All in all I was very well satisfied with everything especially my interaction with Taylor whom I believe to be a credit to your organization

Chris and Bob made me feel comfortable as soon as I enter dealership. I knew what I was looking for but wanted to see and drive the actual car. There was only 2 of my selection on lot, and one was already sold! Even though the 2nd one was not my color Chris insist I test drive it(love it)!But I kept telling him not my color, so what is your color, RED I told him! Give me a minute, then Bob wanted to show me the RED car on the computer display screen, OK. Chris came back with a BIG SMILE on his face" I found a RED one and can have it here in 3 days". OH REALLY?? I just want to see it with no stings attached!! Well let's end this story, I brought a 2015 RED Legacy and want to say Thank you to Chris, Bob and the finance manager. PS: I still don't believe you guys are new to the dealership(smile)

We got there on Saturday, 3/7/15 to pick-up our car, and as soon we open the door there was Craig waiting for us, and he greet us with our names as if he already new us, it made us fill at home, he took all the time with us to show the new car and took us for a driving test, we really fill very special at Schumacher. He took his time also to explain all the details about the car, I never have a such nice experience, thanks Craig and Kayle.

Until automobiles are made not to require any regular maintenance or special service, having such work done by Schumacher is the best alternative. Every encounter I have had there for my 2014 Forester, the last two of which were fronted by Valerie, has been wholly satisfying. Valerie's warm and engaging style perfectly matches her knowledge and informed guidance of the work to be done. I always drive away calm and secure in the sense that all is well.

I called service center on Wednesday, 2/4, about problem with low tire pressure light & low pressure in rear passenger tire. Had no appointment but Valerie "sqeezed" me in on Friday, 2/6. Found 2 very small nails in tire so it had to be replaced. Only had 9800 miles on car! Total price~ out the door~ was $39 and that included a 'complimentary' external wash. All service staff were very friendly & accommodating. My actual buying experience was miserable but I bought at Schumacher due to reviews/reports that the post-buy service experience was terrific. Buying a new car is only a 'blip' in the car ownership experience. In the long-term, it is the service/maintenance/repair experience which really matters. Schumacher service has exceeded my expectations~ hope it continues in future. I will admit that I miss Rick! Otherwise, very happy I bought from this dealership. P.S. LOVE the free coffee & water!

Overall I had great experience at the dealership. Mostly I am impressed from the salesman Tony Bermudez, who was on top of everything, any question, any inquiry, any price :) Beginning from the order of my Red Limited WRX throughout the 2 months waiting period, keeping me updated to the day after the purchase, when he physically delivered my accessories, which I ordered on Sunday and the store didn't work. He really went above and beyond to serve his client.

This was the best car buying experience I've had to date.The salesman, Tony Bermudez was patient, he never pushed anything on us. He bent over backwards to accommodate us, spent a lot of time even when we were not sure of doing the deal. He only called when our car of interest was on his radar.The finance department was great, Bob got us a rate better than my bank of 30yrs.I will definitely go back !

My 2012 Subaru Impreza was damaged by a motorcycle accident, shattering the rear windshield, denting the bumper, breaking the tail-light, and denting the body. Luckily for me the motorcyclist's insurance covered the costs. They asked me to select from several shops in my area and when I saw that Schumacher was on the list, I immediately selected them. I've been happy with my vehicle purchase and regular service at Schumacher so I felt that I could trust the Collision dept. with the repair. I'm so glad that I did. The job was clearly estimated, a time frame given, and having Enterprise rental car there was a big plus. Despite the inconvenience of the accident, everything was resolved in a quick, efficient, and quality manner. I was very impressed and it exceeded my expectations. Rob Howe did a wonderful job of estimating and delivering a top-notch job by the technicians. The vehicle was also ready a day before the estimated completion date. I will definitely recommend them to anybody that needs bodywork on their vehicle.

I came in without an appointment to have a Fender Liner replaced and a few screws, brackets, and clips re-installed on the Front Bumper and Undercarriage Tray. All of the necessary parts were in stock and installed within a few hours that same day. I'd like to thank Tyler Dallin, my Service Manager and Juan, my Service Technician for providing top notch Customer Service and paying attention to detail on the job.

Leased a Subaru BRZ 2 weeks ago that had a scratch on the interior. Replacement parts were ordered and we received a call to schedule an appointment to bring it in for a replaced door panel. Window tint was arranged to be applied the same day (quite expensive but supposedly coming with a guarantee) and we were told the whole procedure for both tint and door panel would take 2 hours. We dropped off the car on time and received a call 4 hours later that the windows were tinted but the interior piece, a 30 minute job, could not be completed. As we live more then 30 mins away, this is hard to imagine that a 30 minute job couldn't be completed even if we were willing to wait longer. Nope. We were told to reschedule and come back another day. Well, we're changing dealers for service. No more Schumacher.

I have never come across a salesperson that knew their product better then Dan. He explained everything from bumper to bumper. I was mildly interested in the Subaru we purchased when I came in, but was convinced by the time I was done with my first visit. Upon our return Dan made us very comfortable through the entire purchasing process. I would recommend anyone looking to purchase a Subaru seek out Dan.

Tony Bermudez and the entire sales staff were very professional and polite. Michael, in the accounting department was also very professional and helpful and made the paper work part of the deal very fast and efficient. Our brand new Subaru Outback was beautifully detailed and a full tank of gas was a nice touch. From the moment we walked thru the doors, we realized this was not going to be your typical car buying experience. We were greeted with friendly smiles and a very energetic and knowledgeable salesman by the name of Walt. He wasn't your typical "in your face/ won't give a you a moment alone to breathe salesman. He took the time and asked us exactly what we were looking for and proceeded from there. He knew his inventory, unlike other salesman we have recently dealt with at other dealerships. After we looked at several vehicles and test driving one WRX, we sat down with Walt and discussed pricing. I told him I would contact him the following day. We returned to the dealership a few days later ready to close the deal. We sat with Walt completing all the necessary paperwork. The sales manager Frank came in to introduce himself and once again, gave me a friendly and almost family like feeling about Schumacher. I would sum this up by saying.. since our first car purchase in 1988, this is probably one of the most pleasant and easiest car purchases I have ever made. Our experience with a Subaru was limited prior to visiting Schumacher. I had never sat in a Subaru, so I was "looking". Dan Pieris was the associate who greeted us on the showroom floor and was excited and VERY educated to all of the important things I was looking for in a new car. The safety features were my number one priority. Dan pointed EVERY safety feature out and even gave examples of when those features would matter. There was one question I asked about the electronics, he said, "Let me find out the answer" and voila! He investigated and I had the answer right away. He never once talked dollars, he wanted to know what we wanted in a car. His demeanor is very professional and personal at the same time.We test drove the Forrester and then the Outback. We purchased the Outback and we drove away celebrating. We never felt pressured and we negotiated a deal we are happy with today, thanks Frank Murano.Financing with Connie and insurance with Carol was also pleasant. This is my fourth Subaru Outback, so I already know they are great cars, but having said that I was still surprised at the upgrades on everything on the fourth generation 2014 outback. What separated Shumaker from other dealers I had visited was service and dedication to making the deal happen. Very flexible to my requests. Followed up on all my questions and service after sale has been prompt and spot on. Good to see a firm that all departments function as one.

Visited the dealership 3/29/14 for service. While I was there I also purchased a key and key fob. I knew the price of the key and fob when I ordered it, but felt RIPPED OFF when the service advisor charged $90 to program the key fob. When I disputed the charge his response was "computers are expensive". I will go out of my way not to do business with this dealership in the future.

Even though Dan was new, he was the one who totally understood customer service.Walt and Frank, the sales manager, were equally incredible and helped Dan where needed and helped me to make an informed decision on buying my awesome Subaru Outback. They were all very knowledgeable .Carol Martin is a total blast and so dedicated to the dealership. She is smarter than the average Outback "dog", I mean bear, and she is a pleasure to work with. Overall experience was good. The only criticism is that it took a bit too long. I had an appointment for lube, oil and filter change, balance and rotate tires, Ron was the only service writer working that day (Saturday). My experience would have been better if he had had some help.

Phone contact with Service was very frustrating. Didn't get a call back first afternoon or next day. Had to call my salesman Walt to get Service to call back. Then they were very friendly and helpful, but when I was switched back to order the part, again I got a message, and again no call back. I called Parts and Service numerous times with no answer and no call back. I again had to call Walt to get a call back. Friendly service is great, but not getting back to callers is not. Working people have limited time to make these arrangements, and I could have been done in under a minute, but the fruitless phone calls took about 30. Actual service (making the key) was done properly and courteously in about 45 minutes, plus a car wash.Price: $130 for a car key is outrageous, no matter how many buttons and chips it has. Plus $89.95 for programming it. Even with that discounted to $65 (I was told it would be $60) and $6.50 for "Misc. charges" ??? and tax it was $213 for one key! I thought about getting a spare Valet key made, but it was $110 for just a plain key with no remote. Give me back my old simple slim key I can duplicate anywhere for a couple of bucks so I always have a spare in my wallet. I know that the new cars are still being stolen despite the new chip keys.In other words, we know we have to pay top dollar for parts and service, but at least use some of that profit to hire enough people to staff the phones. I scheduled my first service appointment for my new Subaru XV Crosstrek and while getting thru to someone was a bit of the task, the service itself went very smooth. My Service advisor/manager was very friendly and he even fixed the issue I had with my aftermarket hitch installation without making me drive to that department after the service part of my Subaru was completed. I really appreciated that! Service did not take long and I was updated regularly to how much longer it might take.

Overall my experience was good and in the end we essentially got what we wanted at a good price. I have never liked buying car, I don't like negotiating deals and I am lucky my husband is so stubborn. I found this experience no better or worse than any other time I have bought a car.

New Forester needed a power point in the console replaced. Diagnosis one day -- very quick, part ordered and informed when part arrived. Came in, installation fast and efficient. Asked if all was well, asked if needed more. All ok.I asked about first oil change at 3,000 mile (per manual) and informed that with modern synthetic oil, first change is at 7500 miles.

Rick was excellent and professional in answering me about concerns of new 2014 Subaru Forrester. I drove through severe thunderstorm with 50 mph wind gusts on I -95, airport was shut down, & I had concerns with how car was responding at 40mph. on I-95. He was courteous, polite and attentive. I brought car in to have upgraded new mirror & wheel locks put on & have Rick check the safety system as well. I am a first time owner & driver of an SUV. I only had it for 1 week. Part had to be ordered.Richard spent time with me after car was serviced going over some of the issues I was having learning some of the controls. He was very polite and professional and patient and bent over backwards attending to all my concerns. I first test drove the Forester with Michael Tavares whom was very knowledgeable & pleasant. And he broke me in for the first time driving an SUV and gave me confidence in its handling. I came back to check out some packages, Michael was off that day, and Richard Cavayero treated me like I was a King. He explained everything to me I was concerned about, took me for another test drive and was very patient and responsive to all my needs. He was most patient and hard working and honest, and made my experience in buying a new car very pleasant.They are both major assets to your company.

I purchased my Subaru from an out of town dealership but made an agreement with them that required them to have the OEM foglights installed at my local Subaru dealership which happened to be Schumacher, and that is when I found out how horrible their customer service is. When Proctor Subaru(the dealership i purchased the car from)called they had the unfortunate pleasure of getting Nestor as our servide advisor, it took them several phone calls/messages to reach Nestor(just to pay them) and personally I called 6 times over 3 days and left him 4 voicemails before he returned my call. He is either harder to reach than the president or he is not very good at his job. When i did speak to Nestor he seemed annoyed that I asked him very simple questions about the install. When meeting with him I introduced myself and he did not say anything back.I asked him approx how long it will take his answer without even looking up from his computer was 1.5 hours, so we waited and 2.5 hours later he strolls out to the customer lounge says the car is ready and turns to walk away. My foglights work so im happy about the actual service their techs did, but dealing with Nestor was just bad. I will NEVER go back to Schumacher Subaru for any reason.
