I have owned many new cars and dealt with many dealerships and service departments, but Doreen Preshlock of Shumacher is by far the best Service Manager I've ever dealt with in my 30 years of getting vehicles serviced all over the United States. As like most people, I usually dread making a trip to the Service Department, even for items covered under warranty, but Doreen greats you with a smile and gives you the VIP Service every time and is a joy to know and work with, that you even look forward to getting your vehicle serviced!Doreen recently switched dealerships and my loyalty to her has My Service Manager has made me switch dealerships too and I have to drive a little further, but she makes it worthwhile!Shumacher is Lucky to have her as their Best Employee!Gary and Rosa SimpsonJupiter, FL

I have owned multiple VW vehicles, from dealerships in both ny & s. Fl. I have finally found a 'vw home' at schmacher vw in wpb due to the outstanding professionalism of Doreen Preshlock, who, unfailingly makes any service visit a efficient and easy process. Although northlake service center is closer for me, I go out of my way to go to wpb, just to have my car & time placed in Doreens's. I recommend her without hesitation!

I purchased my vehicle at the Schumacher dealership in Novermber of 2015. I have since then moved to Tampa, FL. I have recently had some troubles, and unfortunately the local dealerships in this area were not helpful or polite in my correspondence. When I contacted Schumacher, they were extremely informative and demonstrated genuine care and concern for the customer. I wa able to get the necessary repairs at their dealership. They were extremely accommodating to my travel situation and had my car fixed in less than 2 hours for a 3 hour job. Paperwork was prepared prior to my arrival. The staff was very friendly, competent, and efficient. I appreciate their world class service, and you would too!

I first bought my car at the Northlake Schumacher and did not have the best experience with the sales department, but because of past experiences with outside servicing on my older vehicle I decided to service it with the dealer only. This is where I met Doreen. I met her on probably my third service there and she took me right in when it was my appointment time, even though the automated system had booked my appointment at the other Schumacher. She was extremely friendly and helpful the entire time. She kept me updated on the progress and cost of everything before it was done which I found unusual but totally awesome! She was personable and professional and made the whole experience smooth. I now only book my service appointments with her and will travel a few extra miles to Okeechobee to get serviced through her. If anyone has had a bad experience with service here, I'd definitely ask for Doreen next time for a better one!

Sold me a new car with a battery that lasted only one day when I specifically told them to check the battery. They did replace. The front end was or of alignment and the morons in service department could never fix, took it to Weber and they fixed first try. Car also had scratches in paint that I told would be fixed but all they did was dab a little touch up paint on and didn't even try and buff out, bunch of lazy good for nothing's at this dealership. Take my advice and shop any other place but these clowns.

Before going on a 4000 mile road trip I tried for a week to contact my service rep. When I eventually got hold of him the earliest day they could check out my car was 2 days after we had to leave. I was a Toyota driver for years and never had a problem with them. This VW Tiguan has had fuel injectors replaced twice and within 3 years I had to get the head cloth replaced. Front head lights have also had to be replaced. Its the last VW I will ever own.

After talking to a salesman for over a week about 2 stated certified used cars I was interested in, I woke up my teenage son at 7 am on Sat. to drive 3 hours to buy one of these cars. At 11 am, I received an email stating both cars where sold on THURSDAY! I called the man and then he corrected himself and said the one certified car was still available (of course the more expensive one - sounds like a little bait and switch?). I drove directly to the dealership. We negotiated a price and then at closing, it was discovered by me reviewing the 24 months/24k warranty, it was not included. This was told to me by 2 salesman throughout the process that it was included, but not all of a sudden "human error" it was NOT! Left a bad crooked taste in my mouth and my son and I left the dealership with no car.

I write this positive review for service only, which is stellar in every respect. Rich is especially good. We will continue to service our VW at this dealership because of him and the entire service staff.Just a few words about the rest of the dealership; The sales department here is not friendly and they clearly don't go out of their way. Just an example, when I asked about any special financing offers, I was told to "look it up on the Internet". I bought my car here only because the dealership is close to my home, and I'm sure that location is what sells cars here, not the sales staff. One exception; a lovely lady greeter who was friendly and did go out of her way to be nice.

On leaving work late on Sun. evening I noted a light on the dash board was on. checking the service manual found it was the check engine light, also noted a wrench symbol that said service. On Mon. a.m. I called the service department to inquire as to whether it was safe to drive as I was going away for a few days. I spoke with a gentleman named Pat and he advised I bring the car in for a check before I went away. On arriving at Schumacher I met Drew who stated there was no one there by the name of Pat, that there was a Pat at Northlake. I informed him I really didn't want to drive to Northlake he stated he could help and would get me in for service at Okeechobee but that it would be several hours. As I was headed out on a mini vacation I didn't really want to wait several hours and asked if there was a rental car available. He stated that as my car was under warranty they would give me a loaner, which was awesome. He stated he would call me Tues and let me know what they found. He called as promised and stated my car wouldn't be ready until Thurs as they had to order the part that was defective. He actually called late Wed. and said the car was ready, I was still out of town and informed him I probably couldn't get my car till Sat. which he said was not a problem. I actually picked it up Thurs. am, good as new and with a fresh wash. Drew was very pleasant to work with and the service was great. Thanks

I was treated very well by the service adviser with the work being completed in a short amount of time. I had the car aligned with the work being completed within an hour and the car was washed and vacuumed on top of it. I would recommend Schumacher to others for service on their VW.

I had 2 problems with my '09 Volkswagen CC. I needed 2 parts. One part, they had in stock. The 2nd part, they had to order. They told me to bring the car back to them at 10 AM the next day and that it would be ready between 12-1 PM. At 12:30 PM, they called me to say that the car is fixed, vacuum and washed and that the price would be about $130 less then what they quoted me. The whole staff at the dealership was very friendly. I wish the dealerships up north, where I live, would be half as good as they are here in West Palm Beach. I would highly recommend this dealership. I was very impressed.

Very pleasant experience. The service rep also informed me that I did not need an oil change until 10K miles, which I was unaware of until then.Note: The "Dealer Rater" rewiew website has some 'glitches', whereby if a field is missed and the user must then fill it, the screen refresh (after the prompt alerting the user to the missed fields) then eliminates some previously filled, fields. (Like 'password', password confirmation' fields and the 'vehicle brand serviced' dropdown.) The website should also warn that an account must be established, otherwise all the rating and comment fields are erased if one attempts to establish an account afterwards. All of these glitches are very annoying.

This was the third car purchase with this dealership, there were no games played. they worked very hard to get deal done where I wanted my payments and I dont have the best credit in the world. Lawrence was very nice and and straight forward if he didnt know the answer instead of guessing he asked someone. Finance agent was also straight forward and no games played. The car was cleaned well and lawrence went over the waranty and all the features of the vehicle. Few negatives there was no manual or second key so they did order that for us, also unable to produce a tag system was not working, very bad weather. I was suprised that the vehicle was not given to us with a full tank of gas that has never been done before when I have bought other vehicles. I was very happy when I left the dealership. Thank you. Great job. Fast, efficient, and friendly. I brought my car due to a faulty fuel pump. It barely made it in the dealership. They checked me right in, got me out with a rental all in 30 min. Car was under warranty so no charge. But they did take good care of us. Rich, Alex, and Bobby are all wonderful there. All helped me.

Dealer took 3 attempts to replace defective headliner on 2012 Passat. Tried to pass off a dirty and damaged/creased headliner on first attempt. They Ben the second one again, and accidentally threw out the third one. Finally decided only way to repair was to remove windshield. In doing this they scratched A-pillars and did a very sloppy caulk job. They had car 13 days. Never a call or apology from dealer. They truly are the most inept service department I have ever encountered.

I leased my VW from Gunther, but Shumacher is closer to home, so I called to schedule a service appointment. The three girls that work in that department are very rude and their service manager is obviously okay with that, because I gave her a couple of days to return my call and she never has. I ended up going back to Gunther for service. A few months later, I received a Schumacher flyer in the mail, offering a great deal on a trade-in for MY vehicle (and two other models). I was stupid enough to think their sales department would be any better than service and went in to enquire. I got spotted immediately (with the flyer in hand) and gave my information to a warm and friendly sales girl. She set me up to meet with Corey McKinney, who wanted to take his time finding me a vehicle on his lot. I really just wanted to know where I stood with mileage and the value on my present vehicle FIRST. He obliged, by inspecting the vehicle...then he asked me to sign an intent to purchase and said that he also needed my credit card (to show his manager that I was talking business). Sounded like fluff to me, and harmless, so I obliged. It only took me a couple minutes to notice Corey standing in the hallway...more to the point...hiding around the corner, but in clear sight if you're taking advantage of the glass and mirrors that are everywhere. He was there for 15 minutes before I was confident he was just watching me. The second I stood from my chair, he came rushing back to tell me about the conversation he just had with his manager. I didn't have time for his lies, so I got my card and left. Maroone is now Auto Nation and I take my vehicle there for service now, because it's close, but I think I'll go back to Gunther if I decide to stay VW when my lease is up.

Bought a used BMW with 12600 miles only to discover afterwards that there was a lien on the car that the dealer never told me about.The dealership asked me to pay over the agreed upon price to cover the registration fees and that I will get a refund.Received a refund less than what the dealership owed me and when I put the check in the bank it bounced so I had topay an extra fee to my bank because of the returned check... I went back to the dealership and had to spend one houran a half explaining over and over again from one to another the problem... in the end I was so disappointed with the entirehandling of this issue that I intentionally left the difference the dealer owed me as a pocket money for the employee who was bargaining with me... I will never, ever go back to this dealership...

The salespeople and their managers will go to any length to rip you off. They will outright lie to your face. They will just make up stories about certain charges being 'the law' when the only 'law' they are is Chuck Schumacher's law of trying to rip off customers.

I bought a new 2012 VW Passat from Schoemacher and the deal for my trade and price on the new car was by far the best of any other dealer. I have had the car serviced once and the service department could not of been nicer. I really like the new Passat, and I normally do not write reviews but this dealership is number 1 to me.Patrick

We just purchased a new VW from Schumacher - our first experience with this dealership. As they say, first impressions matter. And the person we dealt with left a great first impression with us. The experience could not have been any better. He was very friendly, listened to our wishes, and - most importantly - was not pushy. We were undecided between two different models when we walked through the doors. He offered test drives with both and at no point did he try to sell us the more (albeit only more slightly) expensive of the two. We came back the next day with our minds made up, did the numbers and drove home in a new car. Financing and trade-in went smoothly. Let's hope the service experiences down the road will be just as pleasant.

My BIGGEST dream become a nightmare !! After 7 months I stll don't have my wheel lock and they don't even pick up the phone for basic appointments. Costumer service STINKS!!! Stay away from Schumacher dealership at west palm beach. Do it for your peace of mind and your wallet!

Dealt with Schumacher VW a couple of times in the past and decided to buy my new car from them. When the original salesmen moved out-of-state it felt like every employee there was helping to get my backordered accessories.Service wise - I had a MIL come on one evening - took the car in the next morning and I had my car back before noon (even though their systems showed that they would not be able to get to the car until the next day).

Schumacher VW has a very bad reputation. I have never purchased a vehicle from them however, their service department is deplorable! I brought in my 2008 Jetta in due to the airbag sensor light going off for the second time. I was told that they would have to keep my vehicle (brand new vehicle), and order another passenger-side seat because their was a malfunction and the entire seat had to be replaced. I had to continually contact Schumacher VW to find out what was going on with my car. They gave me a loaner, which was fine. The Jetta is manufactured in Mexico and the SARS outbreak hit at that time, and I was given one excuse after another regarding the long delay on my new seat. In short, Schumacher VW had my NEW Jetta for almost 3 MONTHS until they replaced the seat. I could never get a straight answer from the service manager, or anyone else. When I finally got my car back, it was in horrible condition. It was the middle of summer and my NEW Jetta sat on the car lot in the heat, rain and humidity. The car was given back to me dirty. All they did was give it a quick wash, and did not bother to wax and detail it. The rotors were "pitted" from rust. I was not even given an apology. I will NEVER deal with Schumacher EVER again! My Husband also had bad experiences with Schumacher. I love VW's, and they are good cars, but I would not buy or service a vehicle at Schumacher if they were the LAST dealership in Florida!

Like pulling teeth to get a number out of these people. All they wanted was to "run my credit so we know you're serious". Uh, no. You tell me the numbers and if I like them, then I'll let you pull my credit. I already know my FICO score and when I show you a piece of paper with my FICO score on it, you can darn well tell me what credit tier I'm in for your lenders so that we can estimate a payment. Walked right out and straight into the Mazda dealership and bought a car the same day with no problems.

This is from Oct 2006 and I had posted this on 1.8.org which had ratings for US based VW/AUdi dealers. Unfortunately the Website got taken down. Looking at the recent reviews of this dealership, I am glad I haven't been back there in almost three years. They suck big time. I still wanted to post this and warn others about servicing your vehicle under warranty (outside warranty would be HELL) at Schumacher VW, West Palm Beach........The driver side door handle on my passat was peeling off and i took it in. The service advisor mentioned that it would be replaced under warranty. One saturday afternoon, the car went in and when it came out, the job was a mess. There were MORE scratches on the handle than there were before besides the leather was sticking out from under the handle. The handle was not even fitted properly and i could look INTO the DOOR THROUGH the DOOR HANDLE. A very very shoddy job which stood out indicating how bad it was. Anyway the parts were reordered and i went into the wait mode again. In between, One of these days, i decided to clean up the car and here is what i noticed.There was a huge gap on the front passanger side door panel and the door towards the outer edge (where the physical lock is). It was big enough that i could actually look inside. My immediate thought was that this door panel was also removed.Shocked, i sent a email to service advisor expressing my dis-pleasure and the reason for opening it up.Long story short , dealer replaced the entire driver side door panel (took it from an existing car on the lot) as they were not comfortable (or competent) replacing the door handle only.As far as the passanger side door panel was concerned, i was told that the middle interior clip was broken and there was nothing they could do. What pissed me up was that the DAMAGE WAS ATTRIBUTED AS PRE-EXISTING. One of he SA told me that it was probably there when i took delivery of the car and i never noticed it.WTF. I have the car for almost a year and have cleaned/waxed in/out not to mention the delivery inspection i went through. During the time the car first went to this dealer for repair and the second time (4-5 weeks), it was in my garage most of the time and driven not more than 150 miles.Today morning, i checked the passanger side door panel and saw visible scratches on the bottom screws on the door panel.Earlier also on my first visit with this dealer (for creaks/groans), There were grease smudges on the passanger side door handle and the front passanger seat when i got it back. Then also the SA mentioned that it was PRE-EXISTING and they were not responsible.I am appalled at the callousness of the service at this VW dealership and just want to warn anyone in the area that if they ever take their car to this dealership, DO A MICROSCOPIC walk-thru of your car otherwise any mess they make WILL BE ATTRIBUTED TO A PRE-EXISTING condition and at your expense.Or better, take it elsewhere and save yourself a lot of grief. I have also filed a complaint with VWOA.

Service dept. - does',t listen you as the costumer -they make you feel that your complaint is all in your head and not valid. They ten to argue and defend their opinions. My wike and i have been complaining about noises in front the car being loud and rough at times - not the smooth ride when we bought the car. We finally take it to a in-depended mechanic to have it evaluated and his conclusion was front drive transmission Went back to dealership and was told they not check it out because they thought else ways. I told them to call the mechanic and they refused to call him. So here I'm writing and wasting my time.

Where to start? 1st Contact was Rob in Sales. Test drove TDI Sedan (amazing car!). Rob was OK, friendly, pretty knowledgeable. Rob knew I was driving a Murano SUV, but he failed to tell me the TDI was available as a Wagon (VW says Wagen! LOL!), so -10 points, it required ANOTHER trip to them the next week (40 min drive each way) to look at it.Next Saturday (we both work) I called Rob and got the machine on both numbers. No dealership number on the Card (DUH!), had to look it up. (-2 Points) No Reply to messages. (-10 Points) Called dealer, got clueless guy who told me Rob was off for the weekend (no name, but was just not very friendly, I got the impression when he heard it was "Rob's Deal" he just wasn't interested). Said I could Test drive the TDI Wagen Sunday.2nd Visit, not so smooth. Arrived about 2:30 PM. Walked in and NO one greeted us. We wandered for two or three mins, finally William Farmer, Sales Manager, approached us and asked if he could help us. We told him we were Rob's, but needed to test drive the Wagen. He looked around and said he was sorry but they were VERY busy and we'd have to wait. Got us water. (+ 1 Point) He went back to his office and left us sitting. (BTW - VERY busy meant TWO, yes, TWO customers in the Dealership!) I felt SO cared for. After ten mins he got a Sales guy from the HUMMER side to ferry us out to a secondary lot (had to DRIVE to it!) to look at their three wagens (all Black & Grey - we live in FL, that's NOT an option unless you like ovens). This guy didn't even know what the models were, kept taking us to the wrong models, WE had to show HIM the cars. No test drive offered. As soon as we indicated Black wasn't on our list, we were treated like a PROBLEM, not a customer.Back in the dealership, William looked up if he could get Red or Blue with the options we wanted. The whole time he kept telling us with his MOUTH that they'd take care of us, but his BODY language and attitude said we were just a bother. Very unfriendly and standoffish.NEVER did he offer to tell us about the car, offer a Test drive, or find us someone who knew ANYTHING. In the over TWO HOURS we spend in the dealership I saw him smile ONCE , when a joke was told and he HAD to socially.Hummer Guy (didn't get his name) came back with two sheets on cars (Red and White). White had NAV (which I wanted) and Sunroof (NOT wanted), Red was perfect, but no NAV.He kept telling us how HARD these were to get (code for "I sure ain't dealing none on price, ya'll"). Ummm, can you say 10 keystrokes on the computer? LOL!We left to ponder, drove almost home, decided on the Red and went back.3rd Visit - REALLY not so great! When we came back, William got us Donna. Donna was a very friendly, old school sales person. Nice, but smoooooth. STILL no test drive offered. We sat down to "work the numbers". Took FOREVER. She kept leaving us to do things. While I paced around, I found William (the Sale MANAGER!) slouched on the couch in the waiting area WATCHING TV! This from a guy who is SO busy he can't discuss the car with us. UNBELIEVABLE! My guess is its below him to know, thats what Sales people are for, at least thats the attitude I got from him.We negotiated a price of $500 off the new, $14K on the trade. She shows us the contract and there's this little $659 Dealer fee (read PROFIT) that was NOT up for discussion. Leaves to check the trade. She came back from the "evail" on my trade (Fully Loaded, clean, NO problems, 52K over 4 yrs) which is selling for $18-20K locally, and offered us $1500 LESS as the best deal they could make. THAT PUT THE PRICE AT, GET THIS: MSRP, PLUS $659, AND MY CAR THEY STEAL FOR $13K !!!!My wife & I rose as one (not planned) and left. OUTRAGEOUS! (4:40 PM, over two hours of my life gone)Oh- and Mr William Farmer? Refused eye contact while we stormed out.Of course, they both called the next day and "apologized, and "Oh I'm sorry for the misunderstanding" and "Well, talking with the PROPER appraiser, we can probably do a thousand more" and GET THIS - "That's not the way we like to do business ..."RIGHT! Ahhh, that IS the way you do business!!! You DID it that way you idiot!For the record - Called another dealer (Vista Motors - Pompano, FL), spend less than 15 Mins on the phone, got the SAME car for OVER $2000 less, no muss, no fuss, sight unseen. (Yes, I was STILL giving away my trade, but it was MY decision, not some made up fee). David Petrie at Vista is the BEST! Got the car in two days (Farmer told me 5), and was VERY helpful, and as friendly as they come.You go to Schumacher, be ready to be only a number. TERRIBLE customer service, theyre all about the money, youre a bother. William Farmer would work for me for two days, then hed BOUNCE as I threw him out my door. He should seek his career far from people, like on an oil platform in the Bering Sea.
