This Subaru Dealership is the only Subaru Dealership I recommend. Ordered a 21 STI and the process went very smooth. Due to chip shortage had to wait a few weeks but Dan provided me regular updates on the STI until it finally arrived and sent me off with a full tank. I highly recommend anyone interested in purchasing a Subaru stop by Secor Subaru in New London and talk to Dan. Dan is the Man!

Very disappointed in the service department at SECOR Subaru. Twice we've brought our car in for a recall service and twice we've had to wait over 8 hours for the service to be completed even though we were told it would only be 1-2 hours. Both times our appointments were for 8:30 in the morning and both times we have to get there just before they close to pick up our car that we dropped off when they opened. Both times we were given the excuse that they were short staffed with technicians. So if that's the case then what happened to the people who had later appointments? Is it because we choose not to wait that we get bumped to the end of the line? Very annoying and rude. We'll be taking our car to a different dealer from now on

I was beyond lucky to find Emily Mara and Secor Subaru! My first new car purchase with a dealership, and it couldn't have been better. Emily was incredibly patient with me, and she and everyone I interacted with at Secor were down to earth, practical and honest. After a number of bad experiences buying cars, Secor Subaru has renewed my faith in the car buying experience. The sales staff are helpful and accommodating, the service team prepared the car to look great, and the finance team are not pushy or unscrupulous. I worked with Russ and he will bend over backward to win your trust and earn the sale; strongly recommend dealing with him. I can't believe that I'm using the word "honest" but I believe that Secor Subaru is one of the most honest dealerships that one could choose!

I recently decided it was time to trade in my Outback for a 2017 Legacy. My husband had purchased his Crosstrek at Secor the previous year. He immediately called Russ Jolly and started the wheels in motion. I met with Russ for a test drive and knew this was the car and dealership for me. Not only was Russ knowledgable but fun to be with. It wasn't all about the sale. I had a very definite wish list and Russ went out of his way to find what I was looking for even coming in on his day off. Russ is truly an asset to Secor Subaru.

I was looking for my first new car and I had heard great things about Secor Subaru, so that is where I decided to go. My parents came along with me to help me with the car buying process since this was my first new car. The environment there was very relaxed and everyone was very friendly. I worked with Russ Jolly and he was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with all the questions I asked, as well as the questions my parents asked. He was able to help me find the perfect car for me and got me a great deal on it. He allowed me to test drive the vehicle several times before buying it. He wasn't pushy at all and understood it was a big decision to make. Russ made the process easy and less stressful than I imagined it would be. He even checked in with me the day after I drove it home to see how things were going with my new car and made sure I didn't have any more questions. I drove from 1 hr away to purchase my car at Secor and it was definitely worth the drive! I have been driving my car for 2 weeks now and I love it soooo much!! I am so grateful for the wonderful experience I had at Secor Subaru!!! I would definitely recommend to go here to buy a car and to work with Russ!

Let me just say from the minute Emily answered my phone call she was very helpful and understood our situation. She was able to find the exact vehicle we were looking for, and monthly payments as well. The down payment was originally $1,000 she managed to lower that significantly and was able to just come in sign paper work and drive right out no hassle what so ever !!! Thanks again Emily! And the finincial manager Carl!! Greatly appreciated...and would highly recommend to at least drop by and see there awesome cars and sales .

I had my Forester in for an oil change and tire rotation be for a trip to Pa. The service dept. checked the car over and found that I had a cracked steering belt and called to let me know. I am so glad they check things over so carefully! Thanks for the great service :)

We did our research and went in knowing what we pretty much wanted. Our Salesman, Russ, did a great job of working through all the options and really showing us what mattered. They worked with us on getting what we wanted and there was no fuss. I have been to other dealerships in the area and you feel like you are almost being bullied at times. It was a nice relaxed environment, no pressure at anytime, and I truly felt like they were working with me to make sure I was satisfied with everything. As car purchases go, it was a great experience and I would recommend their establishment to anyone that is looking to purchase a vehicle. I particularly like the fact that Russ took the time to go over all the options in the car once we finish our purchase. I know I will be going back to Secor for my next purchase.

I have not used this dealership in the past. The first time I was there was for my 18,000 mile service, a few weeks ago. When I picked up the car, it was vacuumed and appeared to be washed too...what a pleasant surprise!! However, the mechanics got dirt and grease marks on the seats and glove box. When I mentioned the seats upon picking up the car (I hadn't noticed the glove box right away), they took it right back in while I waited, and attempted to clean the seats. They told me to keep an eye on the spots because they had to dry, and weren't sure if they had been successful.When I came back the following week for an unrelated service (buy a key to replace a key I had lost), I mentioned that one spot hadn't come out, and also mentioned the glove box this time. Within a short time, I had my new key, all the marks were gone, and they didn't charge me the labor cost to make my key because, they said, "You shouldn't have had to come back for marks that we made!".Talk about making things right! I was shocked that a dealership would reduce a $57 bill to $0.00 to make things right - just for a couple of grease spots and a little inconvenience. Unheard of these days! Thank you Secor!

I have been a customer of Secor Subaru since I bought my 2012 Subaru Outback several years ago. I recently purchased a 2008 Subaru Impreza for my youngest daughter from small, non-Subaru dealer in Watertown. I decided to bring it into Secor for an oil change, safety check, and to check a couple of problems we were having. It ended up that there were many problems that needed attention. I work with Christine McGlinsey, and she really helped me make the decisions necessary to have this vehicle safe for my 16 year old daughter. She also helped me by working with the sales manager to give me a discount so that I could afford the work that needed to be done. I only have 1 Subaru left in my family's car fleet but I never cringe when I have to take it in for service. I always no what I going to get both before and after. I have been driving Subarus for close to 25 years and when I've moved I've always been happy and comfortable befriending the local dealer. Recently a friend told me of a problem she had with a dealership in our area, minutes from my home and strongly suggested I try Secor Subaru in New London. Somewhat reluctant to move so far out of my comfort zone as the nearby dealer had been so convenient for so many years, one Saturday I decided to go the extra 20 miles or so. I walked in and met a relaxed young woman who was happy to help, but not in the aggressively eager way that is often found with car sales people. At first I wasn't even sure she was a sales person, as I discerned whether I might be disturbing her at her desk, but soon I realized that she was genuinely happy to discover I was Subaru shopping. I had originally intended to spend my Saturday visiting a few dealerships, and ended up spending several hours with Emily Mara who made it so comfortable for me to pore over color options and try driving different models, that I was relieved to end my visit placing an order. She has a rare combination of caring, patience, warmth and intelligence and she succeeded in helping me get to that elusive feeling of knowing I was getting exactly what I wanted. She made herself completely available to reach via email phone or text and I knew her mission was to be a successful saleswoman as measured by the happy people she served, and her pride in being part of Secor was palpable. The service was literally over the top as she offered to drive to my home and switch cars for me to enable me to complete some of the details that completed my purchase. Thanks to her, I am driving a car I absolutely love and look forward to continuing to receive the best service I can imagine and seeing her happy face when I come back. How fortunate I was to walk up to her desk that Saturday as she is an exceptional woman and I'm grateful I took a chance on Secor and Emily.

I recently purchased a used vehicle from Larry Becker at Secor Subaru. There was a dent in the fender that they fixed without my asking. A few days later I noticed a scratch on the front bumper. The body shop replaced the entire bumper. They provided excellent service and I was very satisfied with my vehicle. I would recommend them highly.

We went to Secor after getting a bit of a runaround from another dealer with regard to the delivery of the Crosstrek we wanted. I walked in and met Emily who not only had the exact model, trim level, and color I supposedly had to wait 3 weeks for on the lot but quickly and pleasantly got me a better deal with better financing on a better equipped Crosstrek than I had been offered by the other dealer! Emily was amazing at our vehicle delivery and walked us through the whole thing while helping other customers as well (and whenever felt abandoned or forgotten, she was great)! We highly recommend visiting Sevor for your Subaru needs and whole heartedly recommend Emily Marra as the go to sales person for your purchase or lease!!! We'll be going back when it's time to replace our RAV4.

I've used Secor Subaru's service department, Mr Keith Mattingly, many times & am always pleased with their honesty & trustworthiness. I've requested to have maintenance done that they notified me wasnt necessary at that time. I recently purchased a used Subaru from this location as well. Mr Keith Barnes was so welcoming & made us feel comfortable as soon as we walked in. He made the process so smooth & I never felt the typical salesman pressure you usually do when you go to a dealership. After 4 years as a loyal Subaru customer, I brought my 2012 Subaru Impreza in for a problem (understandable with 165,000 miles on it!) and found out I needed a new transmission! It was time for a replacement, Emily was hands down the best salesperson I have ever dealt with on every level! Extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional. She worked with me on getting me what I needed and steered me away from what I didn't, my credit is less than perfect with having recently gone throw financial problems (divorce) and she made the deal happen where others probably wouldn't have been able to! I met Emily one day while I was strolling through the used car lot. She showed me a few more, and then we discussed some of the things I was looking for in a next car. Over the course of a few weeks, she alerted me to possibilities by email. Last Sat afternoon, she sent an email about a low mileage 2010 Outback. I went down, test drove the car and 30 mins later I filled out the paperwork to buy it! I picked the car up today, and could not be happier.Emily was perfectly delightful to work with in buying a car. She has excellent customer services skills, she is very knowledgable about Subaru cars, and the added bonus was having a female salesperson to work with which is just a nice thing.

After visiting a less than friendly Toyota dealership, my family and I ended up going to secor Subaru. Everyone was extremely friendly and Russell completely helped us pick the right car. He educated us on the car we were looking into and really made us feel at home. There is no other dealership or person I have put more trust into than Secor and Russell. I was passing by Secor one day - noticed the WRX on the hill...I was in the market for a new car. I've looked into WRX's before, but been laughed at by other dealerships. Most reasons because I was a chick & could not possibly want a WRX or how could a girl drive STICK. There was no questions asked with Dan. He was so accommodating. That day was raining - he pulled the car into the bay so I was able to look it over; test drive ect. No snarky remarks. He gave me straight forward facts about the car & FREE CAR WASHES FOR LIFE! He is always available if I have questions or concerns. Easily to be reached. Reasonable price & I wasn't hounded. Quick sale. He even stayed late because I'm always late & wanted to make sure I got my car ASAP - I would definitely buy my next car from Dan again!

I purchased my first subaru, the 2nd in my family, from Secor Subaru. My mother had a fantastic buying experience in 2010 when Carlos sold her the pearl white Outback. In 2016, it's still in great shape, so when I told my mom I needed a new car, she said "Let's go to Carlos at Secor." He went over every nook and cranny of that Subaru crosstrek that I'd "seen driving around everywhere." He put up with my six months between shopping and actually buying the vehicle. He was only too happy to keep me in the loop about the car's trip from manufacturer to dealership. He made sure I had a loaner vehicle in the interim while I waited for my new car to arrive. A former marine (always a marine), he takes care of his clients, and should be commended for his excellent service. It will be a while until I need another new car myself, but I plan on coming back to Secor, where they continue to take very good care of my family and our cars. Thank you Carlos!

I recently visited Secor Subaru looking for a used vehicle with some life to it for my daughter. In speaking to the Sales Rep Russ Jolly he showed me a vehicle that not only matched my expectations but exceeded them. The car he showed me was a 2013 Nissan Sentra in excellent shape, low mileage and when driving it - it ran like a new car. My daughter ,also, was extremely delighted with the condition of the car and at the right price. Mr. Jolly was knowledgeable, polite, and above all not pushy. When my wife and I were ready to buy a new Subaru about 4 years ago we made the mistake of going to a dealer in Warwick, RI that tried to flimflam us with the old bait-and-switch technique. I said to myself that I was going to track down Carlos Pineda who had sold me a new Subaru in 2003 when he worked for a now defunct dealership in North Kingstown, RI. I found him at Secor in New London, called him and we virtually put together the deal over the phone. It was a no-brainer when we got ready to trade again in February so we went with Carlos and Secor once again. What a smart thing for us do to. They are a bunch of square shooters at Secor. It might be an hour's drive away from home but it's definitely worth it.

I've bought/leased a LOT of cars. Secor Subaru was by far the lowest pressure, most informative dealer I've been to. Carlos listened to my needs, and tailored a deal that met all of them. Want to buy? No problem. lease? No problem! My test drive was informative and enlightening. I was on the lot three times before I decided and not once was I cornered or pressured. Closing was a breeze and I left there knowing more about the car than I have known about any of my cars. Usually they close the deal and show you how to start it and maybe pair your phone. Not these guys, they went over EVERYTHING on the car with me. They even answered questions I had a week later. They actually know about the cars they are selling and that is very refreshing!I stalked my car as it was built for me and tried not to pester too much but Carlos has the patience of a saint and didn't mind. He even let me tweak my order at the last minute. I have since sent 2 friends (and one before I bought) and all have had similar positive experiences. I would not hesitate to send anyone there.

I went in to take a look at a car I saw online. Dan was EXTREMELY helpful! He dropped what he was doing to show me the car and test drive it. He was very informative and definitely knew what he was taking about. What I liked most was how he was very personable. He was genuinely interested in you and what your needs/wants were. He worked around my budget and made it happen no problem! I never felt pressured into purchasing the car, which was a relief. One thing Dan did that really stuck out was not even knowing if I would go through with buying the car, he made sure he took it home the night before I went in the second time to talk finances, just so no one could purchase it on me. My husband and I just bought our 2015 Subaru Forester at Secor. We worked with both Everette and Dave, and then with Carl at the end of the process. Everyone was wonderful. There was a no-pressure vibe throughout the process which we really appreciated. We had a difficult scenario with our previous car breaking down unexpectedly, thus leaving us upside-down on the loan for that car. The radiator in my 2012 Outback failed. Had the vehicle towed to Secor on Wednesday afternoon. They replaced the radiator assembly (no charge - warrantee) and had my car back to me Friday. Looks like it was washed and vacuumed, too. Service desk staff are very pleasant and responsive, both on the phone and in person. I am very pleased - will certainly buy my next car here.

I checked out Secor's website late one night and submitted requests for online quotes for a couple of 2014 Foresters and received responses almost immediately. I got a call the next morning and by 10am I was at the dealer checking the vehicles out. I met with Brian who showed me the vehicles and I put a deposit down. Secor Subaru sales staff are exceptional. From the first step on their lot, there was no pressure and no eager salesperson waiting to pounce on me. They greeted me professionally and offered factual information. My sales associate, Brian, was wonderful to work with. Within 30 minutes of arrival we had a sales agreement signed. As I waited for my car to come in, Brian kept me up to date on the potential delivery dates, eventually delivering well ahead of what I expected. The actual delivery was also completed in a reasonable time (less than 90 minutes). I was very pleased with the entire process.

As a retired engineer, I can be a real pain-in-the-a__ when it comes to dealing with salesmen who don't know there product well and pretend to be your friend. I haven't been the market for a new car in over 14 years so I was apprehensive venturing out to look at new cars. I did considerable homework on-line and reviewing Consumer Reports. I decided the make of cars I would be interested in. I chose to look at Subaru, Toyota and VW. All of these cars had good reviews and seemed to keep their high quality over the years. I started my quest at Secor Subaru because it is owned by Charley Secor with whom I had a great relationship with buying 2 SAABs from him in the early 1990's. I was very impressed on how much he new about his cars while being very honest and enthusiastic about SAAB's. Charley has done well and expanded his ownership to include Subaru's. When I walked into the showroom it was like stepping back in time, same building and similar friendly and knowledgeable salesmen. Brian Ichter greeted me and offered to share his extensive knowledge of Subaru's. Brian was just what I was looking for. Low keyed, very knowledgeable about the cars and not ever overbearing. He guided me through his cars and was very responsive to my likes and dislikes with each model. After being very disappointed with the competitions approach to selling their cars I returned to Secor Subaru and purchased a 2014 Outback. The sale process was expeditious and professionally done. The car was delivered as promised and at a vey competitive price. This old crusty retired engineer was pleasantly surprised with the Secor buying experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Subaru. Oh, in closing, Charley Secor happened to be at this facility when I was there and enthusiastically greeted me remembering my name from 20 years ago during the SAAB years. Charley and Brian are good people. Stop by Secor Subaru and I hope your experience will be as good as mine.

I've bought a number of cars from Secor Subaru. There are few chores in life I loath more than having to buy a car. But Secor has made this as good an experience as I suppose it could be. For the past purchases, Carlos has been our salesman and he has been excellent. He remembers me. He remembers every vehicle he's sold me. He is knowledgeable about the differences between each of the models I own and have owned (the flasher on your '06 was over here, now it's over here). They are open about their pricing and show us the real invoice. They are honest about the profit they need to make -- I don't expect anyone anywhere to sell things at a loss. But I haven't found them to be excessive. The work with you and are flexible. The sell is anything but hard. I've purchased both new and used vehicles and feel I've been treated fairly. Have I walked away thinking I might have got a little better deal? Of course - doesn't everyone? But overall I've been treated fairly and have got a good product. The service department has consistently done a good job, and in the very few instances when there's been a problem, we've been able to resolve matters to my satisfaction. Some Subarus have unusually long windshield wiper blades. I prefer not to pay anyone to change a windshield wiper blade. Not being able to find the correct size elsewhere, I've purchased blades from the parts department (a cumbersome process). On more than one occasion seeing me walk out with the blade one of the service guys will follow me, mention that they can be tricky to install (as indeed they can) and then, without charge, have done the deed for me. It's nice to know that a neighborhood dealer is, indeed a good neighbor.

I recently moved to CT. after living on the west coast for 30 years. I decided that a 2nd car, with AWD, would be something that my wife and I would appreciate having. I began my search online, checking out several dealerships 'used car inventories'. I found what I was looking for and emailed Secor for more information. After just a few email exchanges with Brian I was on my way to the dealership for a test drive. I decided to buy the car on the spot. Fair price, no haggling! The car was detailed, filled with gas, registered with the DMV and completely ready to go when I returned to Secor to pick it up. I would recommend Secor to anyone in the market for a new or used Subaru. I gave the facility 3 stars because the showroom is small and the sales personnel have very little room to make a customer comfortable and offer little, if any, privacy during negotiations.

Brought our subaru to secor to get fixed. Horrible experience. Bill, the service manager, was so inconsiderate. Very rude and mouthy. Had our car for five days and did nothing. Called and said the car was fixed so we came and picked it up thinking everything would be fine. Happily paid the bill and drove the car a half a mile and the same problem happened. Brought the car back an they admitted they couldn't fix the car. So yore telling me we just paid 200 dollars for absolutely nothing? Not acceptable. Not to mention, during the doc days the car was there, they kept saying thy would call and update us. They never did, not once. And anytime we called them they had no new info to tell us. Basically don't ever go here to get your car fixed. Horrible customer service and had to fight to get our money back. If you have a problem call subaru of America. They helped a lot with filing a complaint.

This is the third Subaru that we have purchased from Secor Subaru, New London and we return because they have credibility with us. In 2009 we purchased an new Subaru Outback from Secor and worked with Brian Ichter. He was very easy to deal with and got us an excellent price with no pressure. Since then, we've had the car serviced at the Secor Service Dept and I can honestly say that all of the service personnel have been very easy to workl with and always have been very helpful and honest. We've kept the vehicle maintained based on the Subaru guidelines and it still runs extremely well after 120,000 miles. Today, we again worked with Brian and purchased a 2012 Impreza. Brian was very honest and helpful throughout the process and got a fantastic deal for us. He made the whole buying process enjoyable and easy and again with no pressure. He also spent a considerable amount of time today before we took the car, explaining all of the functions of the car and even paired our phones to the Bluetooth. The car had many new features and he took the time to go over them all and answered all of our questions. When we drove out of the lot, we were very comfortable in knowing how everything worked. We will continue to have both of our Subaru's serviced at Secor and would highly recommend both their sales and service.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Awful experience. Never going back or would ever recommend this place to anyone. Bill was awful to deal with, rude, and inconsiderate. They had my car for a week for an over heating problem and they claimed there was nothing wrong with my car. The day after I got my car back, it over heated on my way home from work (an hour drive) and I was stranded. Bill left me threatening voicemails and hung up on me when I called.

I purchased my first car from Secor Subaru, a BRZ. Walking into the dealership I knew they had one on the lot, all the specs on it from reading online, what I should be paying and most importantly that I wanted to buy the car. This was the fourth dealership I had gone into under these circumstances. However, being from out of the country I needed to make sure I could get financing at a reasonable rate.When I walked in, the salesman who greeted me was Andy Stevens. Andy asked me what he could do for me, showed me the car and let me ask him questions. When he didn't know the answer, he was honest about it and wrote down what I wanted to know. He said he wasn't sure about the financing but he took all the info I could provide. He never once pressured me into putting down a deposit, buying the car or trying to get me to buy something else, which every single other dealer I went to tried to do. He just said "I'm going to do my absolute best for you here, I can't make any promises, but I'll do what I can." It took a week of hard work between Andy and Karl, the finance manager, going back and forth between themselves and the banks and requesting info from me to get my financing done before my car rental was up, but they pulled it off. Andy even came in on his off days, something I truly appreciate.No mentioning any details, but Andy and Karl did everything possible to accommodate all the strange specifics and learning it took to get me my car as a new resident. When every other dealer tried to push me into their rehearsed pressurized and mechanical sales process, the guys at Secor made me feel comfortable by playing on my terms and meeting my needs. They really put the customer first and I can't thank them enough. I don't often write reviews but I figure that this is the least I can do for both them, and anyone who wants to buy a Subaru and walk away feeling great about it.

I just bought a '09 Forester Premium at Secor. Carlos was my salesperson and he was wonderful. We took the car out for a test drive. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and explained the many functions of all the bells and whistles available on the Premium. At no point was he the typically "pushy salesman". When I came back for a second test drive, Carlos was with another client, but managed us both and we went for another very thorough test drive before I made up my mind. Carlos made doing the paperwork easy. I recommend Secor Subaru very highly.

Brian was great. We went months ahead of actually planning to purchase a car without knowing that we really wanted a Subaru, but he was so great it helped convince us this was the right care for us. Secor had more of the attitude that they have a great product and they don't need to pressure anyone.Paul was very straight forward and gave a great value for our trade in.All-in-all one of the most pleasant car buying experiences of my life.

Misrepresented the trade-in and pulled a different (lower) number when I went in to actually do the sale. Then, when questioned actually said "I don't need to do business with you!" This was knowing full well that this purchase would be the third purchase at this dealership and all repairs having been done there on my other two cars for 12 years. He's right, I don't have to do business there and am looking to buy the same car somewhere else.

Made an offer of cash for a new 2010 Legacy no trade to Paul and to Charlie (owner)neither person called me back.My guess is that after buying 3 cars there they aren't interested in doing business with me anymore. I did even contact Subaru industries directly. no answer
